((Yay! Thanks GAPAs!))
SUMMARY (of what I understand):
James and Ashely are on a really bad date. Natalie and Jeremy are working up to a relationship, it seems. David and Lexi are trying to sabotage Rosa (plan B). Jason might have a concussion from crashing in driver’s ed. Edward was recently slapped again by another woman, to many people’s delight.
((Angie, not Lexy.))
((Sorry!))
((1: Nathalie.))
((1- I believe that inside, Edward is really a good person. He is just misunderstood. This post will prove that!))
*is sarcastic*
Edward left in a huff. He had (yet another) date tonight, which would hopefully cheer him up.
It didn’t.
He listened to the droning of her motor-mouth. He tried to interrupt, “You have such beautiful eyes.” He tried to sound as seductive as possible. Obviously she didn’t, because she went on to talk about what eye-color she had, and how some people disagree. Edward just wanted to make-out, he really didn’t want to hear this.
He reached in kissed her deeply. She leaned to where she was depending on him to keep her standing. Edward decided that the date was over.
He walked away, without showing any signs of withdrawal. Because of the sudden exit, the girl fell on the ground and broke her nose. She shouted in pain, but he left the restaurant, without even leaving a tip.
I straightened up from where I had been leaning against the wall near the entrance to the restaurant.
Falling into step with Edward, I said, “Well, well, well. Breaking more than hearts today, aren’t we?”
“I see no reason to speak in plurals,” he answered, rather stiffly. Then he relaxed, asking, “So what are you doing here? Following me, perhaps?” Edward smiled coyly.
‘Grr… He’s so full of himself!!’
“Actually, I was walking home and happened to see your date fall flat on her face. I decided to stick around to see what happened. Someone ought to call an ambulance.”
He ignored the hint/jab. “Yes, someone should.”
((You make Edward quite witty…))
((You’ve given me more to write about! *is happy*))
————————————————————————————————
“Yes, someone should.” Edward said, uninterested.
Just as he said that, an ambulance came, so there was no more need for concern.
“So what are you doing for the rest of the night?” Edward asked, hinting at a date.
This guy is either really stubborn, or he has short-term memory loss…
“As I said before, I’m going home!” She said, starting to get frustrated.
“Well how ’bout we take a little detour?”
Two dates on one night. I wonder if he’s going for a high score.
((Sorry for controlling her thoughts, but I thought that they fit the situation))
“So?”
“No.”
“Why not?”
“‘Cause I don’t like you!”
This took Edward by surprise. It was a low punch in the gut. ((Which you know all about Daisy*Chain. *remembers Daisy’s knowledge of Taekwondo*)) Edward decided to stick with the same approach.
“Why not?”
“Because your just another shallow, cute guy who likes to use women for one night, and them throwing them away like trash!”
“That’s not true! I was on a second date yesterday!”
“Have you called her for a third?”
He realized the flaw in his argument.
“Look, why can’t you just give me a chance?”
“You seem awfully desperate for a guy who can get any woman he wants!”
“Not you.” Edward said this with the most longing, beautiful voice he could draw out. He even placed himself into a patch of moonlight for effect.
She was taken back for second, but then just walked away.
“I LO-”
He almost said the L- word. He laughed at himself for even attempting such a ridiculous tactic. He gave up, and walked home.
((… *cracks up* “Patch of moonlight” indeed! ))
((So, shall we move on to the next day?))
((Heck yeah.))
Nathalie stretched her arms up and out as she woke up to the sound of an alarm clock playing “She’s Leaving Home.” She threw the covers back and went to change out of a huge old school shirt into street clothing. Sunny and warm outside today, so she had capris and a tee, instead of the normal turtleneck. Too hot for turtlenecks.
She took the bus to the theater, and was momentarily surprised to see that she was one of the first to be there. Oh, yeah, I forgot, she thought sarcastically, Everyone else can take fivve minutes getting dressed.
She headed into the back room and snatched a pencil from the holder, and went over to the unfinished drugstore canvas. Half of it was done, half of it wasn’t. Whichever morons did this, they just made things harder for themselves. She was not doing this.
She went out into the audience and pulled out her sketchbook from her bag. She absentmindedly doodling, and zoned out.
“Hey.” A voice said, jolting her out of her blank state.
((She was not “napping.”))
Edward woke up from a nightmare. He couldn’t remember, so he tried to ignore his awkward fear of sprinklers.
He walked into a random coffee store, because the clerk from his previous cafe (don’t know how to type with the accent…) had not been happy about his sudden lack of interest in her. He found a male clerk to go order his coffee from.
“Could I please have a grande, extra hot caramel macciado with half 2% milk and half whole milk, one splenda, no whipped cream, but drizzle the caramel on top? Oh yeah, and can I have it double-cupped instead of one of those sleevey-things?”
The clerk looked very confused and frazzled. Suddenly he fainted.
Edward shrugged and left the shop,” Your loss.”
((“Awkward fear of sprinklers”? *falls off chair laughing* *people in computer class stare*))
Azorica dragged herself from bed as the alarm rang. She refused to turn it off, just to spite it. The rings got increasingly more frequent and louder as she dressed.
‘Pants… Shirt… Alarm clock…’
She slammed her hand down on the off button.
‘Ow…’
She treated herself to a breakfast eaten sitting down (cereal), then dumped the bowl in the sink and strolled out the door.
‘I’m the girl he’s trying to win? Certainly not because he likes me- it’s the fact that I’m a challenge. It’s all a game to him, isn’t it?!! Well then, let’s play.’
By the time she reached the theater, Azorica was seething.
Nathalie sat up with a jolt as a slightly smoking girl barged through the doors. She sunk into her chair…
THWOUNK!
The chair folded up on her, herself trapped between the cushions.
“…help…?!”
((Wait, it’s you who’s trapped in the chair, right..?))
((Yup.))
((Oh my gosh! I’m so sorry I haven’t been posting on here. Rosequartz, is this a bad time to start the fake fight?))
((No, it’s a perfect time. ))
He was extremely annoyed at her. ANOTHER DATE?!?!?! This was getting out of control.
“Ashely, baby, um I can’t make it tonight.”
“Why not?”
Ugh. those puppy dog eyes.
“Well . . . I’ll just cancel.”
“Aw, you’re the best bf ever!”
“It’s over Ashely. I can’t do this.”
“Why?”
Grrr. She is so irritating.
“BECAUSE I HATE YOU!!!!!”
Everyone on set turned aroundd very quickly. That might’ve been a bit loud.
((Wait, was that the fake fight? I haven’t been following that plan… Did that just happen in the theater? *is confused* If it was then we should have everyone there. It would be nice if someone could fill me in real quick. :D))
((Aggie and David are planning a fake fight where they will break up, and then David will go to lunch or something with Rosa. He will then spread a rumor saying that was all over him, therefore breaking Rosa and Thomas’s relationship. I think that’s it.))
May I add something to Edward?
When he lived in Washington, he met a girl named Bella…
Just kidding! Before he moved here he had a girlfriend named Claire. She was the one that he came closest to loving, and he was almost a good guy when he was with her. They had to break up when he moved. They were kissing their last kiss on his lawn when the sprinklers came on, which us why he hates and fears sprinklers, because they remind him of breaking up with her. He has tried to forget about her, but it’s hard. He likes Azorica because she doesn’t like him, but she also reminds him of Claire.
Take it or leave it, I don’t mind. I just thought it would be a fun little twist. Perhaps Ashley could find out somehow…?
Care to join, VanillaPi? We could use a good writer like you. Just make up a random character and show up at the theater.
Would love to!!! Ok, I’ll join when when the characters come back from the baseball game.
Or you could meet us during the game.
((I was making his fear of sprinklers coming from the nightmare that he couldn’t remember, but I like that better! Let’s use that. Can someone please still answer my questions?))
((No, that [comment 12] was not the fake fight. The fake breakup will be between David [Aliena’s character] and Angie [RoseQuartz’s character].
I’m guessing that comment 12 took place in the theater.
Let’s assume that everyone is there, but those who want to can write posts about how their character(s) got there. ))
So, wait. How many people are in the theater right now? if we want the “fight” to be really dramatic, we shouldn’t come in until everybody’s there.
Sapphire paused in front of the theater doors, clutching her violin case and sheet music binder. She wore fairly inconspicuous clothing – a pale blue T-shirt and tan cargo pants. She hadn’t gotten much sleep last night, worrying about Jason. Now she was at the theater, and she half hoped …
Jason leaned casually against the wall, smiling and perfectly okay. His bass was propped up next to him, ready for a rehearsal.
“Jason!” shouted Sapphire. “You’re safe!”
Jason smiled. “Yes, I am. Why wouldn’t I be?”
“But – the car crash – ” she stammered
“You didn’t believe that stupid rumor Megan started, did you?” asked Jason. “I’m fine. I don’t even start driver’s ed for another month. Yesterday I was snowboarding in Big Bear with my cousins.”
Sapphire grinned. “I guess that’ll teach me not to trust Megan. What was I thinking?” She started laughing, mostly from relief.
Jason laughed with her.
Sapphire shook the idea from her head and opened the theater doors. A few people were there, but no one else from the orchestra.
Thwonk!
Sapphire jumped. A folding chair had snapped shut with someone in it. She ran over to help.
((I have a feeling there will be some psychics problems here.))
Someone started pulling the chair out, so Nathalie coordinated by pushing the back rest with her arms. The chair snapped open, and she tumbled out. Her sketchbook flew 5 feet away. She scrambled to get it. Nathalie turned around to see who her savior was. Sapphire, still holding a violin case. “Hey,” she said, pulling a strand of hair back behind her ear. “Thanks for saving me from a chair.”
Physics, maybe?
Gah! Stoopid internet spellcheck! *pulls hair out*
Well, you could have a psychic problem…
*long pause* Hahaha!
James:
This has been the worst play that I’ve been in for a very long time. What happened to staying profesional? There is always a break-up or a dating situation in here.
That. is. it.
I won’t date a single girl in this theater until this whole thing is over, and I will probably forgotten any feelings by then.
Maxine walked over to me as I was slouched against the wall, pouting.
“Hard to get rid of, huh?” she noticed.
“Yeah,” I replied, already hot pink. Stay profesional!
Edward had an announcement:
“Excuse me! Excuse ME!”
Everyone turned toward their director.
“Thank you. We have recently (and surprisingly) received a generous donation from a local cafe. We have enough money now for the WHOLE production, and even some left over. SO! I have decided to let us all take a trip!”
Everyone was suddenly interested.
“Yes, we’re all going to…”
“JUST SPIT IT OUT!!!”
“A RED SOX GAME!”
Then there was a chorus of grunts.
((Hope you’ll like a little get-together outside of the theater. We can do the fake fight today, or at the game. It’s going to be tomorrow. (((In the RPG))) ))
“Red Sox!” I complained, “I’m a Yankees fan!”
“Personally I’m not that into sports, but I’ll take your word for it.” I automatically winced as the words left my mouth. I sounded so flirtatious! Was James now picturing me in a flapper dress, coquettishly raising an eyebrow as I performed a seductive dance while twirling a cigarette holder? “But I can’t believe Edward’s taking us to a game. It’s so unprofessional. We shouldn’t be wasting our money, we should be rehearsing!” Now I sounded petulant. Oh dear.
“Yeah! Hey, want to skip that silly game and, um, maybe see a movie?” I asked. I smiled at her.
“Sure.”
I noticed a dancer I recognized from a previous show walk in, help a girl out of a chair she was trapped in, and ask for Maxine.
“Hey Minka, she’s right over here!”
“Maxine, I want you to meet a friend of mine. Apparently, she will be helping you with the choreography.”
((20- The fake fight is between David and Angie.
So, is everyone in the theater? Including Rosa? We can’t start the fight without Rosa!))
((We’re rehearsing today, but I think we should let rehearsing be vague; I don’t know much about The West Side Story, so lets focus more on the people than the actual rehearsing. Let’s do the fight. Everyone just sort of appeared, because I made the announcement and everyone was there… Rosa can just be floating around…))
((Yeah, I agree with Fishy.))
((Sounds good to me!))
OK, I’ll come in now, so you have more witnesses for your fight.
Character name: Minka Taylor
Appearance: Fair, with honey-brown hair that she always wears in a French braid, blue eyes. She dresses conservatively but nicely.
Personality: She is a cheerleader (not the stereotypical bratty ones that are always the antagonists in movies) and dancer. She is here to help with the choreography. She is kind and helpful, but sarcastic too. She isn’t looking for romance, but if someone has a crush on her, that’s OK (I don’t mind either way). She has an identical twin sister, Shae, who will appear sometimes (but isn’t part of the play).
Minka walked up to the doors of the theater. Good, she was right on time. As she walked in, she saw a boy and girl talking to each other She was about to say hello when she heard the boy ask the girl on a date, and so she pretended that she didn’t hear and walked past them. She went into the main theater and hesitated at the doors, feeling awkward. She was supposed to be choreographing with someone named Maxine, but she wasn’t sure who that was. She heard a snap, and a girl got stuck in a folding chair. Another girl helped free her. Minka walked over to them and handed the girl a notebook.
“Hi,” she said, a little shyly, handing the girl her notebook. “My name is Minka. Do you know where Maxine is?”
Before the other girl could answer, some people started shouting.
Everyone appears to be here. We should get started, Angie thought. She noticed David making his way over to her and smiled. Although no one noticed the smile, if someone had they might have described it as… sinister.
Before he got there, though, Angie heard something that made her seethe.
“Hi! My name is Minka. Do you know where Maxine is? I’m supposed to help her with choreography.”
She didn’t have any time to think about it, though, because David was already in her face.
((25- Thanks. Uh oh, I have no idea what to say! Could you contol both our characters? Or tell me what to say to get started?))
“ANGIE!” David screamed at her. “How do you explain this?” He shoved a photo in her face. Her with her arm around her cousin, but no one needed to know who it was…
“David! That–that’s not–”
“I found it on the ground. It must have come out of your wallet!”
“David, please let me explain–”
“You already had a boyfriend! Didn’t you?”
“No! David, please!”
She thought she was doing quite well. She even got a few fake tears in there.
“And while we’re at it, you stole my car keys!”
“This is going to be good,” I said while Angie and David were fighting, “Minka! Over here! This is where it’s safe!” I heard Maxine try to conceal a giggle and laughed some myself.
Edward watched as the drama unfolded. He didn’t really care, but he was entertained by this fight. Edward knew that it was fake; he had great experience in that department.
((Oh, Aliena! Care to continue?))
“Oh,” Minka said, blushing slightly as she walked over to Maxine and James. “I must have walked right past you. Please don’t tell me it’s this dramatic every day.” It seemed like everyone watching the fight was snickering, but trying not to show it. “I’m assuming that’s the director?” She pointed to a tall, extraordinarily cute guy in a gray suit. He was handsome, but personally, she thought that he looked like he had eaten something nasty but was trying not to show it. A girl with long, long blond hair and a purple beret kept glaring at him, although he seemed not to notice. The shouting got louder, and Minka was forced to ask, “Who ARE those people?”
“That’s Angie and David, probably fakking that fight to get attention. And yes, it’s pretty much like this every morning, lunch break, and afternoon. Over there is Edward, yeah, he’s the director. Oh, and the snob over there is the little annoying pest I just ‘broke up’ with, Ashely. Don’t ask,” I explained.
She didn’t.
“And this is Maxine, our wonderful head choreographer,” I said as Maxine turned the color of hot pink bunnies, “Say, what have you been up to since ‘The Wiz’?”
I walked backstage and hurried away from the big fight going on. Suddenly, I knocked into a girl coming in. “Oops, sorry! I’m Katy. I’ll be working on some of the sets backstage. What’s your name?” This is so cool, my first musical ever!
((Maybe too much powerplaying here; maybe not.))
“Gah!” Nathalie said. “M-my sketchbook! Where is it??”
“Oh, is this your’s?”
Nathalie looked up at the person holding her sketchbook. A girl with a french braid and blue eyes. “Thanks,” she said brusquely grabbing the sketchbook back. The girl looked a little offended. “Oh, I’m sorry,” Nathalie said. Then her eyes narrowed. “You didn’t look in it, did you?”
“Er, not exactly,” she said, tucking a loose stran dof hair back behind her ear. “There was a page open when I picked it up.”
“Which page?” she said, feeling nervous.
“Well, there was a boy. He was drawing a pharmacy set, I think. You’re a really good artist, you know that?” she said haltingly.
Nathalie’s heart dropped to her feet. She had seen her secret. “Oh, yeah, he’s on the set crew. We have this assignment to draw everybody there.” she fibbed, scratching her head. Sapphire, unbeknownsest to the girl, had raised an eyebrow.
“My name is Minka,” the girl said. Do you know where Maxine is? I’m supposed to help her with choreography.â€
Before Nathalie or Sapphire could say anyhting, Angie and David started yelling at each other. Sapphire and Nathalie turned, alarmed, to each other, and Minka hurried away, to a group farther away.
Nathalie observed the situation. She could see the picture David was yelling about, and Nathalie noticed a resemblance between the two people, one of them clearly Angie. She also noticed the sudden output of tears, but not many, and she wasn’t sobbing.
“Clearly fake,” Nathalie deduced to Sapphire. “Angie and the boy in the photo are clearly related, and the reactions between the two of them aren’t real. Now, will you care to explain to me what that raised eyebrow earlier was for?”
((Oh dear. Can some of you believe it’s real? Otherwise the plan won’t work.))
((I’m sorry for starting the trend… I didn’t mean for everyone to know! Could some of you guys take it back? Should I? Edward’s knowledge of the fight doesn’t really have an impact though… And if you don’t want to take it back, then make your character try and find out just why they are fake fighting; that could be interesting!))
((Nathalie knows for a liable reason- her past.))
((Minka will believe it’s real, simply because she doesn’t know them, but wonders why they are choosing to have such a loud, public breakup. It’s not her business, so she’s not going to interfere.))
James just complimented Maxine, making her blush.
“Oh, nothing much,” Minka said. Her eyes lit up with understanding. “I’m just going to go look at how much space we have–”
Suddenly, another girl walked into the theater, and Maxine had to blink a few times to make sure that she wasn’t seeing double.
“This is my sister, Shae,” Minka said. “Shae, this is Maxine and James. Maxine is the choreographer.”
“Oh, are you in the play too?” Maxine asked. It was unsettling to see two people who looked so exactly alike, down to the waves in their hair.
Shae laughed. “Oh no. I can’t sing–”
“Or dance,” Minka said.
“Or act,” Shae finished. “Tennis finished early,” she told her twin.
“I’ll show you the theater,” Minka said, dragging her away. “Bye Maxine, James! I’ll see you soon.” It seemed to her that James liked Maxine, so she was determined to give them as much time together as possible.
“They remind me of someone,” Maxine said, frowning.
“Who?”
“Ah! Just remembered. They remind me of the Weasley twins.”
Shae sat down in the very last seat of the very back row. “That’s the director,” Minka said, pointing to Edward. Shae grinned. “He looks like a real prisspop.” ((Don’t worry, GAPA’s, that’s not a bad word at all! It just means someone who is prissy and full of themselves.)) Minka heard the girl that she had unwittingly offended say “Clearly fake.” She must be talking about the fight. Minka shrugged. It wasn’t her business, but the shouting was going to get annoying soon. She ran up on stage.
Minka ran off with her sister to show her around.
“I wonder why Angie and David are faking that fight. It doesn’t seem to make sense to do that,” I pondered, but Maxine made a face and said, “How are you so sure it’s actually fake? I mean, they like each other so much.” ((Not power playing too much, am I?))
“Well anyway, it’s not our business, so who cares?”
((Game day, anyone?))
Sure. Unless Angie and David wanted to finish up their fake fight?
“What?” said Angie, pretending to play dumb.
“My CAR KEYS! You stole them, you two-timing twit!” David screamed back.
“No I didn’t!”
“Who’d you pick up? Your boyfriend!?” David was very pleased with the way things were turning out. Everyone was watching, and Rosa seemed to be buying it. That was, of course, the most important thing.
Minka laughed to herself. ‘Nice alliteration,” she thought. A girl with curly black hair with a flower in it (Rosa) was watching the screaming couple closely, with a mixture of worry and confusion on her face. Maybe she was their friend or something…
You see, Minka still has a lot to learn…
I glanced to the side to see Rosa tug on her hair with a frightened expression, while watching the fight cautiously.
“I think I know why now,” I muttered.
“What?” Maxine said.
“It’s nothing.” As I said before, it’s not our business.
((POST OVER HERE PEOPLE!!!!))
We’ve established that David and Angie have “broken up,” and Rosa is believing it. Shall we go to the baseball game?
((Sorry…. Let’s make it game day!))
Edward woke up. He got his coffee. Then he remembered and smiled, today he could expect a lot of pissed off kids.
I ran up to Maxine’s house. It was around noon, and everyone else was at the baseball game. I rang the doorbell. Finally, Maxine came out.
“I was thinking we could se ‘Year 1’. How does that sound?”
“Count me in.”
“Count me in,” I replied. “I’d love to.”
“Great!”
I smiled. I FINALLY got a date with her.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
During the movie (which was hillarious), a series of events happened. First, our hands touched when we both went for more popcorn. Then I put my arm around her. She rested her head on my shoulder. Last, I leaned in over her . . .
((David, do you want to skip out on the game, too? I’ll go though… perfect opportunity!))
If you’re going, then I’ll go to. I bet if Rosa comes I could make the pretend get-together a bit dramatic.
((SFTDP. Sorry, that last sentence was supposed to be in double parentheses and say 46-.))
((Should we all just meet at the stadium? Pretend everyone got their tickets yesterday at rehearsal.))
Minka got to the stadium early, and to her relief, there wasn’t too long of a line. She went in, looking around for people she recognized, although she didn’t really expect to see anyone she knew in the crowd. Wow, Edward had gotten them all good seats. Baseball wasn’t really her thing, but at least she had something to do. She had two issues of Muse and the fourth Harry Potter, as well as her iPod. She found her seat–it looked like she was the first one there, seeing as their entire section was empty. She dearly wished that there wouldn’t be any drama, but she had a feeling that she hoped in vain.
((Set crew and orchestra are invited, I presume?))
Oh yes, of course! The more the merrier! I don’t see why you shouldn’t.
((Tickets are expensive. And just wondering: how old do you think I am?))
Nathalie walked out of bed. It was one of her habits that when she wanted to go early she would wear the next day’s clothes as pajamas. The clothes got rumpled, but hey, it was efficient.
She took the bus to the stadium. It was easy to see where they were supposed to sit. She climbed up to their last row, and took out her sketchbook. She practiced hands.
((Do you mean how old your character is? I really don’t know.))
‘Oh no,’ thought Minka as she saw Nathalie sit far behind her. ‘It’s the sketchbook girl. She probably hates me. Should I go talk to her now? No, that would be a little confrontational. When we’re leaving, I’ll just apologize. She IS a really good artist; I wonder why she wants to hide it. I wonder what her deal is. Anyway, Harry’s going to start the first task.’
She read silently, occasionally glancing at Nathalie, but Nathalie was absorbed in her work and never looked up. Minka was relieved when another person came into their section.
Edward:
Edward was satisfied. He could only imagine what would happen today. He’d see Azorica again, and hopefully some people from the theater would actually enjoy themselves! Although, it would be quite funny if something… unfortunate, happened at the game today, Edward thought.
((I have some things… planned for the game…))
————————*cackles*
((Oh dear. When Fishy plans things, smart people run and hide.))
((Eeep! Bad twin, bad!))
((Can I power-play with Edward a little bit, Fish?))
Edward walked into their section smiling deviously, and he noticed Minka. He only saw the back of her head, but he assumed she was pretty. He wasn’t particularly interested in her, but it might be a little fun if she went on a date with him. He sat down next to her, and when she looked at him, gazed deeply into her eyes.
“Hello,” he said, with a voice like melting caramel chocolate. “I’m Edward.”
She looked him up and down and then burst out laughing. “What is it?” he said seductively.
“I think I prefer Harry Potter to Twilight, thanks,” she said, and returned to her book. Edward was rather taken aback. Nathalie, who had been listening, smiled. Minka’s cell phone rang, and she answered it, completely ignoring Edward. “Hey, Shae…Clare can’t come? Oh, that’s too bad, because Lucy is gone too…” ((Note: Lucy and Clare are school friends of Minka’s and have nothing to do with anything.))
Edward felt his heart miss a beat, and he left to find another seat, feeling disgusted and shaky. “The plan,” he told himself. “That’s all you need to think about.” He grinned deviously, and then the feeling faded. “Not…her.”
((Huh, so Nathalie thinks she offended Minka and Minka thinks she offended Nathalie. So one person will have to approach the other. And, knowing the character’s personalities, I know who it has to be…
How old I am, but I’m just wondering. Take a guess!))
Edward’s such and idiot, Nathalie thought. At least people don’t notice me. She delved back into hands.
((I don’t know! I have the number 13 stuck in my head, so I’ll guess that.))
Minka looked at her phone. Where WAS everybody? The game would be starting soon enough.
((Ahaha, the age increasor of MuseBlog strikes again! I’m 11. ))
“Hey!” said a voice next to Nathalie. She started. Oh, it’s Jeremy.
Jeremy?
“Ah, crap,” Nathalie muttered, trying to shove her sketchbook in her bag. Jeremy kept a firm grip on it. “Can I have that back?” Nathalie panted.
Pleasedon’tlookatthosepagespleaseohpleaseohplease
Jeremy rifled through the sketchbook. “Wow, you’re really good!” he exclaimed.
Oh, craaaaaaaaaaaaaaap!
He had flipped to those pages.
“Er, these are really good likenesses of me,” he said, blushing slightly. Nathalie was already a deep crismon, slowly sinking down into her seat…
THWOUNK!
Oh, of all the times for this to happen…
((By the way… Edward doesn’t really have any clue to what I’m planning…))
Ok then, Edward just goes back to feeling how he usually does. Whoops!
56.1- Which is bad.
SFTDP
((Does anybody have a problem if Edward has an extreme change of character?))
((How extreme? You’re beginning to frighten me a bit here…
The plans… the change of character… next, world domination… ))
((Edward doesn’t want to rule the world! Although he would like the attention…))
Most of the orchestra kids sat together in one row, but a few of them squeezed into the one behind it, with the set crew. Sapphire sat next to Nathalie, clutching her backpack. Inside were several books, her iPod, and a pad of drawing paper.
A latecomer squeezed along the most-of-orchestra row. There seemed to be something familiar about his dark hair, though Sapphire couldn’t tell who he was from the back.
He sat down in an empty seat next to Megan, causing her to squeal, “Jason! You’re okay!” Megan reached over and hugged Jason. He wriggled uncomfortably in her grasp until she let go. Sapphire didn’t say anything.
“Yes, we are glad Jason could make it today,” said Mr. Silverman, sitting in the row above Sapphire with a few other adults. “We now have a bassist again.”
The orchestra members forced Jason to explain about the car crash and his night in the hospital. More than anyone, Megan seemed to regard him as a noble hero that had battled insurmountable odds and returned from the brink of death. He had a two-inch scar at his hairline, stitched with black thread and hidden by his hair.
Sapphire slumped in her seat with relief. Jason was okay! She was so happy, she didn’t even care about Megan batting her eyelashes at him.
Meanwhile, Jeremy was riffling through Nathalie’s sketchbook, commenting on the pictures. Nathalie was sinking into her seat …
Thwounk!
Sapphire jumped as the seat folded up on her friend.
((58.1- But, aren’t we planning world domination already? *cough* kokonspiracy *cough*))
((By the way, the seats are right next to first base. It’s important…))
((61: One of us get’s hit with a ball? XD ))
Nathalie struggled out of the seat with Sapphire and Jeremy’s help.
“Er, bathroom,” Nathalie said, mortified. She rushed off.
((DO NOT RUIN MY BIG PLAN. Believe me… There’s more to it.
*knows that it is easy to guess what will happen, but hopes that NO ONE WILL POST IT!*
(Yes, that is an implied warning))
((What’d I do? And it isn’t very obvious, Fishy.))
((Oh. Well, you posted a part of my plan, and I didn’t know if you had predicted the rest… And if you do predict it, then please don’t post it…))
((Wow, my random, joking guess was correct? Oh, I see now…))
((Oh gosh… I’m such a dufus…))
((A dufus? A dufus? What is a dufus? And why are you one?))
You seriously don’t know what a dufus is?
doo·fus Slang
-An incompetent, foolish, or stupid person.
((Of course I know what a doofus is! A dufus is unfamiliar to me, though.))
Oh my god, I really am a doofus!!!
((62.1- Well don’t leave us hanging, Fishy- out with it!))
I took a taxi to the stadium and sat near the isle.
Baseball wasn’t my favorite sport, but at least it wasn’t football. I sighed, and resigned myself to a long day of boredom.
((63- I like football!))
Edward sat confidently in his not-so comfortable seat. He looked around. Almost everyone was there. The game was about to start.
There were also a great number of women in the sections around them, and they all seemed to be staring at him. One had fainted, although the day wasn’t unusually warm.
((Nice touch))
((Honestly- guys tackling each other to get to a ball? Nice.
Sorry, I just can’t seem to appreciate football. ))
((Oh god… Let’s not get into this…))
Angie sat as far away from David as she could manage, although of course she still needed to be able to see him and the area around him as well as possible. This was going to be good….
((Oh crpnish. Mind-blank again. What should I make David say? Rosa won’t believe him unless I word it just right.))
((Where is she, anyway? Aggie, I mean. I haven’t seen her lately.))
((ACK! I don’t know what to say. It seems like the date moved quickly, while the game hasn’t even started! Ack!))
((Who wants to start the game?))
Fire away.
((Ummm… *awkward moment* I meant that someone else could start it…
The players ran out onto the field as Nathalie quietly shuffled back into the seat. She bent quietly over her drawings, paying no attention to the game. She was drawing a girl leaning over the edge of light into darkness when she heard the crack of a ball connect with a bat.
((I started it. Sorry it sucks so bad. (T.T) ))
((There’s nothing wrong with that! Let’s face it, the beginning of a baseball game isn’t that exciting..))
Everyone was settling in to watch several hours of baseball. Minka sighed. It was going to be a long several hours. She heard a girl sitting next to her say, “Ugh, this is going to be sooooo boring.” However, she didn’t expect the boredom to last. With these people, especially David and Angie sitting far away from each other and glaring, and poor Rosa in the middle ((shall we assume that Rosa is here? Agrrrfishi hasn’t posted in a while)), drama was sure to break out before the fourth inning at least. AND they were surrounded by women staring at Edward, although he didn’t seem to notice them. One woman had fainted and was taken away in a stretcher, but that was the most interesting thing that had happened so far. Minka didn’t mean to complain, but she was restless thinking of all the choreographing she and Maxine could be doing. She was not the kind of person that could sit for hours on end. Hey! A player hit the ball and made it to third base. Maybe the game wouldn’t be to long if one team was really good. She watched Nathalie slip surreptitiously back into her seat. That girl should stay away from any chairs that fold, Minka thought. She really has no luck with them.
((Not related to game: Angie, or RoseQuartz, when you and David were fake fighting and you heard Minka come in Angie got even madder. Was she mad because Minka was just distracting people from the fight, or is there a back story? I’m just wondering if you wanted to make anything out of that, or you could just drop it. ))
((73: I believe Angie was helping with choreography.))
—Edward was enjoying the game. Women were fawning over him in a steady, constant supply. He was smiling, which, of course, caused more fainting. Edward didn’t want to make another scene, so he made his, Ugly-for-Edward-But-Still-Pretty-Handsome-In-The-Eyes-Of-The-World Face. With this face he could detach a couple of the picky, and get the ones who are trying to grab him, to sit in their seats to stare politely.
—————————–It was the second inning. (3-0) Yankees Up
—Edward was still being stared at, and his face was starting to stretch back into it’s original placing. He had to be strong. He couldn’t let his skin win!
—————————–It was the third inning. ((You guys can start from the beginning, but this is all that Edward is going to be thinking about…)) (6-2) Yankees Up
—Now Edward was struggling. The women around him were staring more deeply, with more lust. It was slipping back. He let it go back to its spot, but with consequences (or are they???). One women shrieked, and another totally lost her mind and jumped on him. He decided that he might as well enjoy this. He managed make-out deeply with every single one of them. The problem with this, was that he now had a pile of unconscious women. He shrugged and simply sat there.
—————————-It was the fourth inning. (10-5) Yankees Up
—Women were coming from around the stadium! Edward realized how immense it was for women (and one, very disappointed man) to be coming from across a stadium, just to look at him. He was actually getting a little bored from the constant make-out scenes. He had an idea. He got up, and walked to the mens bathroom and sighed. He just wanted to hang make-out with some actresses. Then the man walked in and started staring; it was time to go back to his seat.
((75- OK, that’s kinda creepy))
((Ya think?))
Just a tad.
I’d be scared if you didn’t think that it was creepy…
When are you going to unleash your plan? We’re starting to get nervous…
Heh-Heh-Heh-Heh-Heh…
Yes, we are…
“The suspense is terrible! I hope it lasts.”

I thought that it was a bit more like….
“DUH-DUH…DUH-DUH….DUHDUHDUHDUHDUHDUHDUHDUDUH”
And then someone gets eaten…
Could you just start the plan already???
Could someone else fill in the first four innings? THEN, I’ll initiate plan, which is more of an event.
Aliena? Agrrrfishi?
ANYONE!?
Where is Aggie, anyway? I haven’t seen her in ages. I don’t think she’s posted in at least a month. Or maybe I’m wrong.
((Er… I’ve been to only one baseball game, and I zoned out completely. Yeah…
Fishy, just skip the first 4 innings, please… I’m dying to find out your plan.))
((Same here… about the one game, that is. I zoned out too. Football was worse, though.))
((FINE! I guess it’s time I unveiled my “plan.” It’s very Soap-Opera-ish… I still can’t believe that none of you could come up with it… Come on, the Soap-Opera thing gave it away, right? Anyway, tell me what you thought it was going to be after I post this…))
Edward stared blankly at home plate. He had lipstick smeared all over his face. He was smiling. Some people (guys) looked at him in envy, some in pity. The guys who’s girlfriend’s had kissed him, were not happy. They simply left. Edward was actually watching the game, now. The Red Sox had caught up. It was now 11-11. He wondered why the score was so high today.
Derek Jeter was up. Runners were on 1st and 2nd. Everyone was hoping for a nice home run.
————————- “STRIIIKE!” Said the Umpire.
Edward leaned in.
————————- “STRIIIKE!” Said the Umpire.
Edward was getting nervous. He couldn’t believe how into the game he was.

———————— *CRACK*
Very, VERY quietly the ball raced past the foul line. A few people groaned, but others watched. The ball was still moving very quickly. Edward stared cross-eyed as the ball got closer and closer to his forehead.
————————————————*BAAAAAAAANG* *BIG-GONG*
Edward rebounded off the baseball, and onto the metal part of the chair. He lied on the floor, unconscious. The actors and actresses (and orchestra!) looked at him, surprised.
“SOMEONE CALL 911!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
There was suddenly a lot of dialing. Edward was rushed off to the hospital. The rest of the cast/orchestra/stage crew rushed to the hospital behind the ambulance. The day after, there was a lot of tension.
On that day, he woke up. There were thousands of flowers and heart-shaped balloons in his room. Most of the cast was there.
“Oh my god! He’s awake!” Ashley exclaimed.
“Hey, Edward… How ya’ doin’?” David asked
“Fine. Nice to meet you!” Edward greeted, happily.
“Umm, no… I’m David, remember?”
“Sorry! I just don’t remember…” Edward was still smiling, as his eyes explored the room. “Wow! People must love me!”
Ashley shouted, “HOLY C***”
((Oh my goodness. I have been gone a long time. O.o Could anyone grant me a recap? I’ll gladly jump back in, if I’m wanted.))
((Yay, you’re back!! I’m Minka, by the way, a choreographer. Summary: Ashley and James kind of broke up (they weren’t really together in the first place, and it wasn’t even mutual interest). Now James has a crush on Maxine, and they went out on a date. David and Angie had a big, fake fight where they pretended to break up so that David would get together with Rosa. That would break Rosa and Thomas up. Some people didn’t believe the fight was real, but Rosa did. I was introduced. Edward got tickets for a baseball game, and the events of that start with comment #51. David and Rosa have yet to get together as Angie and David planned. Sorry about telling you what to do!
Brilliant twist, Fishy!))
The rest of the cast and crew were gathered in the waiting room. It was rather crowded, and Minka didn’t have a chance to talk to Nathalie yet. The doctor came out to them.
“Are you the friends of Edward Freidman?” he asked. A few people snickered, but one person called out, “Yeah. How is he?”
“He is in stable condition, but he had a severe concussion and it has affected his memory. He didn’t recognize anyone. It is hard to tell how long the amnesia will last–perhaps he will eventually regain his memory. For now, though, he doesn’t seem to remember anything prior to today.”
Shocked whispers ran around the room like electricity. What on earth were they going to do without a director?
At the sound of the bat and ball connecting, Jason wobbled and slumped over in his seat. As everyone was gasping at Edward’s fate, Megan was shaking Jason awake. “Jason! Are you all right? Please be all right!” She seemed to take no notice of the full-stadium commotion, with everyone shouting and clambering over seats to help Edward.
Jason struggled into a sitting position. “I – I’m fine, Megan,” he said, his voice almost inaudible. “The surgery – loud noises – I’m okay, honestly.”
Sapphire said nothing as Megan ran to help Edward, insisting Jason stay in his seat. For some reason she felt like crying.
((80- Thanks for the recap! It’s nice to make your acquaintance. I’ll just slip in as though I was always there…))
Rosa voiced her thoughts to Minka, who stood nearby. “What are we going to do without Edward to direct us?”
“I’m not sure,” she said looking a bit worried. “I suppose the choreographers can direct for a while, that would be good.”
“Maybe there’s something that we can do to trigger his memory to come back.” Rosa looked thoughtful for a moment, trying to imagine what could bring thoughts back to someone’s mind. And somewhere in the back of hers, the thought of Thomas shifted. She shook her head not wanting to think about it. Then, she snapped her fingers. “That’s it!”
“What’s it?”
“Edward is a ladies’ man of sorts. We just need to get a bunch of girls in here to fawn over him and he might come to. What do you think?”
((82- HA! I like that plan…))
Edward examined the people in the room. There were many girls. He couldn’t remember any of them. He couldn’t remember anyone. He could only remember a play. The West Side Story. He knew that he was the director, and the must go on.
“Well! We should be off,” said Edward.
“Off!? You need to rest,” The nurse said.
“I feel fine!” replied Edward.
“You can’t leave!” said Rosa.
“Why not?” asked Edward.
“Because… The governor passed a law yesterday hat said, um, that all Amnesiacs have to stay i the hospital, for at least… 48 hours!” Rosa improvised.
Everyone stared at her in wonder.
“Oh! Well, then I guess I’ll leave tomorrow!” said Edward, confidently.
Rosa smirked. Edward was very gullible now.
David laughed,” Hey, Edward! If you you say ‘green bean’ slowly, it sounds like ‘gullible!’ ”
“G—R—-E—-A—N—————B—-E—-A—-N”
David broke out in laughter. Edward didn’t know what was so funny.
“So, where are we going to get a lot of beautiful women?”
“His face was in the paper! We’ll just get the news around where he is, and that his previous “girlfriend” broke up with him, because she didn’t want a cripple as a boyfriend!”
“I see! Then all the girls will feel sorry for him, and want him… This room is gunna’ be FULL.”
Minka had an idea. She took out her phone and snapped a picture of Edward. Under the picture, she put the words, “Teen Hearthrob abandoned by girlfriend due to tragic loss of memory. How can YOU help? Visit him at (insert name) Hospital!!!!!! All the single ladies, come on! Donations can also be made to Amnesty International.” She sent the picture to all of the girls on her contacts list, and to her sister, who did the same. She also posted it on Twitter, MySpace, and Facebook. She also e-mailed a summary of the story to the local news, requesting that they investigate and cover it. In less than thirty minutes, some girls started to wander in, asking for “Edward, you know, like, the guy who is all over the Internet?”
((I saw Westside Story last night. It was sad. I couldn’t cry. I was numb.))
((Oh yeah, in my vocal class, we’re doing America and I Feel Pretty.))
As Megan helped Jason, Nathalie watched Sapphire. She was biting her lip and clutching her sleeve. She looked like she wanted to help…
“Sapphire,” Nathalie said quietly. Sapphire looked at her. “It’s okay for that to happen. We’re teenagers. It happens. Repeat after me. ‘I am not a bundle of raging hormones.”’
Sapphire stared at her, then said, ”’I am not a bundle of raging hormones’…?”
“I am not a bundle of raging hormones.”
“I am not a bundle of raging hormones.”
“The plan is working perfectly,” Rosa squealed, nudging Minka. “There’ll be hundred of girls here soon.”
“We’re going to have to make some room,” she replied, looking at the crowds of fawning females pouring in through the hospital wing doors. It was quite astounding how many girls were willing to help out a sweetly unconscious boy in need. Rosa wanted to laugh and cry at the same time.
“He’ll have no choice but to remember everything,” Rosa said, rubbing her hands together. Then, she strode over to the crowd of girls. “Edward the amnesiac is right this way!” She gave all the girls a brimming smile. “He needs all your help to regain his memory-and the love of his girlfriend.” There was a collective swoon from the group. Rosa motioned towards the hospital room. “Shall we?”
((BOY!?))
((85- Wait, why are you helping him? Didn’t he force your character to go out on a date and make out with him, alowing my character and Rose Quart’s to publicly humiliate Rosa?))
((86- I’m also half-intending on his need to try and get girls to go out with him, and once they see how desperate and narcissistic his character is, they’ll reject him and he’ll be back to the way he was.
I’m not very good at holding grudges. *frets*))
Minka’s sister Shae was also in the crowd of girls, although she hadn’t come to see Edward. After much “excuse-me” ing and some use of elbows, she finally made it to where her sister was.
“What on earth is going on?” she asked. Minka filled her in.
“Oh, Rosa, this is–” Minka said, but Rosa had already gone to marshal the girls.
“Let’s get out of here,” Shae said. They squeezed through the crowds.
“Oh wait,” Minka muttered. Clearing her throat, she called, “Gimme an E!”
Some people said “E!”
“Gimme a D!”
More people yelled, “D!”
“Gimme a W!”
“W!”
“Gimme an A!”
“A!” Nearly everyone shouted.
“Gimme an R!”
“R!” Even some nurses had joined in.
“Gimme a D!”
“D!” Everyone bellowed.
“What does that spell?!”
“EDWARD!!!”
A mob rushed upstairs towards Edward’s room. Minka and Shae flattened themselves against the wall to let everyone pass. Finally, there was more room to walk. They passed through the waiting room, and Minka saw Megan sitting next to Jason ((can I power-play a tad?)), who didn’t look too too happy. Nathalie and Sapphire were sitting apart from them, but Sapphire’s eyes kept flickering over to Jason.
“Hey wait,” Minka said to Shae. “Isn’t that that Megan girl who tried to get into varsity?”
“Oh yeah, and I creamed her? That’s her,” Shae giggled.
“She had a hissy fit afterward, didn’t she?”
“One of the best I’ve ever seen. She broke some of her racket strings, too.”
“Believe me, there is more drama that goes on off stage than on. And this is West Side Story, for goodness’ sake.”
“Um, Minks, is it OK if I hang out at rehearsals? Practices got canceled.”
“ALL of them?”
“Yup.”
“I guess that’s OK…our director is in no state to decide right now, but as long as you don’t cause trouble then I think it would be fine.”
“Trouble? Like what, try to dance?”
“Trouble as in…locking Megan in the janitor’s closet for ten minutes so that Jason and Sapphire have some time together.”
“My dear sister, that is an excellent plan.”
((So RainbowStar, if Sapphire wants some time with Jason…))
There was a cafe down the street from the hospital. As it neared lunchtime, some of the visitors drifted over to grab some food. Sapphire walked through the halls of the hospital, making her way to the bottom floor. She wondered if she’d see Megan and Jason at the cafe. Hopefully not; Megan had been smirking at her all morning. She’s pretty smart, Sapphire realized. When she wants to be mean, she knows just what –
“Unh!” grunted Jason as Sapphire elbowed him in the ribs.
“Ow!” said Sapphire as Jason stepped on her feet.
“Sorry!” they said in unison.
There was an awkward silence.
“Um … I’m going to the cafe to get lunch …” muttered Jason. His face was slowly turning HPB pink. “Could – I mean – um …”
“Come … with you?” Sapphire stammered. “Um, okay … I mean, I was going there too …”
They started walking down the stairs.
Meanwhile …
Megan squealed as someone grabbed her shoulders from behind and whirled her around. Five seconds later, she was being shoved into an open janitor’s closet. She kicked and struggled, but there seemed to be more than one person forcing her into the closet. “Sapphire!” she gasped as her assailants fumbled with the lock. “This – has – something – to – do – with – Sapphire!”
Rosa finished herding the swarms of girls into the hospital room, and then, after forcing the door shut with her back, panting, she walked over to Minka and another girl who were locking the door of the janitor’s closet.
“Hello,” she said to Minka. “What were you just-”
“NOTHING,” said Minka hurriedly. “Nothing in particular that’s interesting…um, how about you?”
“I got all of the girls into that hospital room, and they’re doing their thing.” Rosa sighed, and sat down on a bench with her chin in her hands. She then noticed the other girl, who was unfamiliar. “Who’s this?”
“Oh, sorry. Rosa, this is my cousin Shea. Shea, this is Rosa, a friend from the play.”
“It’s a pleasure,” replied Rosa happily, shaking Shea’s hand and smiling. “Now what do you say we check on Edward?”
(( I just read over the thread, so when should the David/Rosa/Thomas thing begin? Are Angie and David still at the hospital?))
((Actually, I think Shae is Minka’s twin sister.))
((I think we are, yes. David can offer to take Rosa to that cafe where Sapphire and Jason are going, and Angie can offer to go with Thomas, so he gets a good view. ))
(( Oh boy. This should be fun. ))
“All right, let’s go,” Minka said. They started towards Edward’s room. An unexplicable smirk occasionally crossed Minka’s and Shae’s faces, but Rosa didn’t say anything. The hallways were mercifully mostly empty. As they turned down the hallway, they heard the sound of many voices. As they got closer to Edward’s room, they saw a huge crowd of girls being herded out of Edward’s room by a few frazzled doctors. They couldn’t even get close to Edward’s room. David squeezed through the crowds, and when he saw Rosa his face lit up.
“Oh, hey Rosa!” he said.
“Hi. How is Edward?” she asked.
“Oh just fine. Hey, do you want to have lunch?” he asked. Before she could answer, he took her hand and they swept away.
“Bye, Minka!” she managed to call before turning the corner.
“How much longer?” Shae asked.
“Umm, I’d say, twenty more minutes?”
“And by the time she gets out, Jason and Sapphire will already be at lunch. So it will be too late.”
They quickly looked in on Edward, who was drowsing peacefully.
((90- I was going to wait to get David to ask Rosa out until after she’s done checking up on Edward. Oh, and after David’s done making fun of him.
83- Thanks for the green bean quip, that was great.))
Suddenly, a flock of girls came into the room. They were all chanting Edward’s name and exclaming stuff David found downright ridiculous, he even heard onme girl yell “We love you Edward!”. Then Rosa came in, herding the rest of the girls into the room.
“What’s going on?” David yelled over the noise.
“We’re trying to get Edward’s memory back.” She yelled back.
“You could steal his car keys. I’m sure that would bring something back!” David yelled, an amused twinkle in his eye.
((Here, I’ll try to incorporate both scenes together.))
David talking to me? Now that’s unusual, thought Rosa in the back of her mind, but she paid no attention to it. Quietly, she slipped out of the hospital room, trying to get a moment of peace, and perhaps a coffee. But David followed her.
“Hey, where are you going?” he asked, trying to catch up with her.
“Out,” she replied simply, half-smiling. He was being nice. Rosa was glad he wasn’t trying to bring her down any more, but that didn’t mean she wanted to fraternize right then. She thought of going back to the theater, maybe playing a bit of piano. But David had other plans.
“Hey, do you want to have lunch?†he asked. Before she could answer, he took her hand and they swept away. Rosa was flustered, not able to say no because she didn’t want to hurt his feelings. She yelled, “Bye Minka,” as she rounded the corner, and then the two of them were out the hospital doors.
“I’ll be honest,” she said when they were a half a block away. “I’m not sure if I feel comfortable. I mean, I don’t want to come between you and Angie in any way.”
“Oh don’t worry, she won’t care,” said David. “Besides, we’re just friends.”
“Okay, I guess,” said Rosa, still quite uncomfortable. But soon they were at a small diner and getting seated. Rosa thought she saw David wave to someone as they went in, but she couldn’t see anyone. So she dropped it.
((That can be David signaling to Angie that the plan is working.))
((Sapphire and Jason, do you want to have a conversation/scene together before Minka and Shae let Megan out of the closet?
Please let it also be understood that Minka and Shae are not hired thugs. They wouldn’t intentionally hurt anyone, and the reason they did this is because they want to help Jason and Sapphire get together and also because Megan needs to be taken down a peg.))
((I’ll write some more of Edward soon, I have to go watch Yes Man))
((I’ll just write the scene where Megan comes out of the closet. Just stick it in whenever you need it, RainbowStar.))
Minka looked at her watch. “It’s been twenty minutes,” she said.
“OK, let’s let her out,” Shae said. As they got closer to the janitor’s closet, they could hear Megan knocking against the door, trying to attract attention.
“Hello? Is–Is someone in there?” Minka called.
“Yes, yes. Get me out!” Megan yelled, rattling the door. Minka unlocked it and Megan burst out, looking wild. When she saw Minka, her eyes widened in fury. “YOU!” she screamed, tackling Minka.
“Get off my sister!” Shae yelled, pulling her off.
“Wait. There are TWO of you?” Megan asked.
“Yes, there are two of us. What did you expect?”
“Well, then, so who are you?” Megan asked Minka, who was still on the floor.
“I’m Shinka–”
“–and I’m Mae.”
Megan’s eyes narrowed dangerously. “Did Sapphire have anything to do with this?”
“Why on earth would you think THAT? Are there dangerous chemicals in there?” Shae asked. “Because–”
“–you seem rather addled. Of course, you would have to be–”
“–to lock yourself into the janitor’s closet.”
“Really,” they finished together.
“Why don’t you sit down and get something to eat?”
“And don’t go to the cafe down the corner, you won’t get a seat.”
“It’s full–”
“–and you’ll–”
“–have to wait–”
“–until eight–”
“–just to get a booth.”
“It’s the truth.”
They both smiled innocently, and Megan stalked away, muttering under her breath.
“Are you OK?” Shae asked her sister.
“I’m fine.” Her cheek was slightly swollen, but that was it.
((Sorry if Megan overreacted. But I suppose that being locked in a closet would upset a person. Just a little bit. Gah! My posts are always so long!))
Nathalie, instead of going to the packed cafe like everyone else, went to a little known pancake house. Anyone who knew it existed probably didn’t know they had a lunchtime special on chocolate pancakes- and boy, did Nathalie need chocolate.
Angie watched Rosa walk off with David. David gave her a little wave, signaling her to find Thomas. She didn’t have to go far–he was only a few feet away from her.
Walking towards him, she purposely tripped and almost pushed him over. “Oh! Sorry!” she exclaimed.
“‘Sfine,” he muttered, turning to go.
“Hey, Thomas, are you okay?”
“I’m fine…” He walked away.
“Hey, where are you going?” she asked, running back up to him.
“To get some lunch.”
“Oh, me too! Why don’t we go together? You know, not as a date or anything, just… to get to know each other better, you know?”
“Sure, fine.”
They walked towards the café, and Angie grinned inwardly. It’s working perfectly…
((This is awesome.))
((Yay. ))
David pulled Rosa over to a table and sat her down. He hurriedly passed her a menu, and as she looked over it she noticed from the corner of her eye that he was still looking towards the window. As the waitress noticed them and walked over, Rosa heard the bell chimes that meant someone was entering the cafe. She was going to look and see who it was when David said loudly, “Uh, Rosa, why don’t you order first?”
“I…okay,” she replied, a tad flustered. “I’ll have a Caesar salad and a chicken sandwich with no mayo please.”
David ordered after her, and then the bell chimes stopped. As though trying to distract her from the noise, David asked, “So, um….how long have you been singing?”
“David, are you all right?” asked Rosa. He looked very awkward and was drumming his fingers on the table loudly, still looking over her shoulder. It was all very fishy.
((Aliena, do you want to write some?))
Women were flooding his room. Edward had a very wide smile. He didn’t know why, but he enjoyed it very much. His new, wider perception realized that using his illness as a lure for girls was shallow, but his enjoyment overpowered the thought. He had lipstick smeared all over his face.
“He’s so cute!”
“Look how innocent he is!”
“O-M-G!!!!”
Edward didn’t know what the girl was trying to say by naming random letters…
“So you can’t remember anything!?”
“Nope,” Edward said with a smile.
“We may have to find another approach…”
Angie came into the resteraunt. David tried to distract Rosa by getting her to order. However, he couldn’t help looking at Angie once or twice, which Rosa seemed to notice. David was very nervous. What if the plan didn’t work? Would Rosa see Angie? And how would he stop looking at Angie when she was all he could think about?
“David, are you all right?” Rosa asked, cutting into his thoughts.
“Uh, yeah. I guess I’m just tired.” he said. He changed the subject. “You’re a really good singer.” he said.
Rosa frowned “Thank you, I guess.”
“Now that I think about it, I wonder if that’s why Angie hates you so much. Maybe she’s jeaous.” he said, hoping he wasn’t carrying it too far.
((ThanksForTheFish42, maybe you could use the Claire thing to help Edward remember. Or sprinklers. ))
((Wouldn’t he then fall in love with her? I kind of want him to fall in love with someone in the play (No one in particular)… BUT what if she becomes co-director, because Edward can’t do it by himself in his condition; then he could fall in love with her (again). Ahhh, I can sense the drama coming from this… Claire coming back… Edward having conflicting love interests…The jealousy… *grins* ))
((No one in particular, eh? ))
((I just meant that I didn’t want him falling in love with some person who I would have to create…))
((Maybe he could find an old picture of her or something, and then outside the sprinklers would go off, and that would trigger all the memories. That wouldn’t be nearly as fun. Or perhaps she comes to visit for a day–she comes with her dad on a business trip or something–and she sees him and he doesn’t recognize her and she storms off, but then all the memories come back.))
((Ehhh, just call him Fishy.))
((102- Sorry, I meant jealous, not jeaous))
Luckily, Sapphire and Jason reached the cafe a few minutes before the tide of people, so they had no trouble finding a table. Sapphire ordered spinach salad, not wanting to look like a greedy pig. But she didn’t want to look like a health-food maniac either, so she got Sprite as a drink. Jason got a chicken sandwich and Coke.
Sapphire realized she would have to actually talk to Jason at this point, so she racked her brain for a conversation topic.
“Um … so what other instruments do you play?”
It turned out he played the electric bass as well as the acoustic bass. He and a few of his friends had formed a band, Eclipse. They sometimes performed at school events.
“You know,” he said, “lots of songs we’d l ike to play have violins in them.”
((The climax of the plan is in motion!))
“Jealous? I don’t think so,” replied Rosa. “We’re both fairly good, I guess, but she’s just mad because I beat her out for the main role. I don’t see what the big deal is. It’s not like I meant to hurt her feelings, or anything.” She took a small bite of her salad, and then leaned forward. “Between you and me, I think she’s hated me for a long time before but never admitted it.”
“Um, yeah,” said David absently. Then, turning back to face her, he said weirdly, “I like you a lot.”
“Uh…” she replied awkwardly. This was sudden. “Thanks?”
“No, really,” he said. “Would I lie to you?” Then, abruptly and without warning, he leaned across the table and kissed her.
Rosa drew away after a second and gasped. “DAVID!”
“Rosa?” asked another voice.
“What’s going on?” Rosa saw Thomas looking at her with a pained expression on his face. Angie was sitting behind him, smirking at her as if to say, Who’s the winner now? Rosa got up from the table, snubbing David as he asked, “What’s wrong babe? Don’t you like it?”
“Shut up!” she cried angrily. She felt her face grow red. This was all wrong.
“Oh, I see how it is now,” said Thomas, giving her a cold look. “Thanks for leading me on.” Then, he turned on his heel and walked out the door of the cafe.
Rosa looked in despair around the room. Everything had gone quiet. Rosa felt hot inside, and all of the sudden, she began to cry. She ran out of the restaurant with her head in her hands, but not after screaming to David, “You JERK!”
The door slammed ominously behind her. She looked at Thomas’ retreating figure in the distance, wanting to call after him, but too sad and angry to speak. Instead, she began to run. She ran fast and far, as far as her legs would carry her, and then when she could not find the strength to keep going she slumped against the brick wall of the theater and kept on sobbing. There was really no use trying to stop. After all, how could things get any worse?
((How was that? ))
((106- Excellant! That was perfect! Now all David has to do is convince everyone in the theater that it was Rosa who forced herself on him, and the plan will be complete.))
((Wait, is the plan to make Rosa’s life hell?))
((I think it’s more trying to bring her down, but I have a plan to flip things the other way. Wait and see… ))
Nathalie picked at her chocolate pancakes. She didn’t really know why but thought this was a crappy day for everyone.
She walked back to the theater with her extra pancakes in a box.
((107.1.1- It’s kind of both, in my opinion. And does “flipping things the other way” have anything to do with generating hatred of David and Angie while generating pity for herself and Thomas?))
((Not pity, per say. i don’t think it’s coming from that angle. I’m just going to help everyone see the light about the situation so Thomas and Rosa can get back together.))
((I’m just wondering what we’re going to do next. Should we go back to the theater? Fishy, is there anything else that Edward needs to say/do? It’s a good thing that he knows that he’s still the director.))
((Sorry… I almost forgot about Edward! I don’t think it’s time to go back to the theater again. Edward still needs to be in the hospital, until either his memory comes back, or he becomes more confident so that he can go on without his memory.))
((Sorry I’ve been gone so long! I’ve been busy . . .
anyway here’s James.))
“That movie was hilarious! I had so much fun.”
Maxine and I walked down the street toward the theater.
” Yeah, me too,” Maxine agreed.
Suddenly, I got a myriad of texts at once. Beep!
“Amnesiac boy needs single girls’ help in reviving memory!”
“Hey, is that -” Beep!
“David: Rosa threw herself at me! And then Thomas walked by and she blamed me!”
WHAT?!?!?
“Edward is in the hospital!” I yelled.
“Rosa made out with David!” Maxine screamed.
We looked at each other.
“Let’s go visit Edward. Then Rosa.”
Minka and Shae were walking home, and occasionally laughing about their encounter with Megan.
“I hope Sapphire and Jason had a fun date,” Shae said.
“Me too–hey, I have a text.”
David: Rosa threw herself at me! And then Thomas walked by and she blamed me!
“What on earth,” Shae said, reading over her sister’s shoulder.
“That’s weird. Rosa seemed really nice, and she certainly didn’t seem like the type of person to just throw herself at someone.”
“Who is Thomas?”
“I have no idea.” Minka rolled her eyes and put her phone back into her pocket. “Drama.”
Rosa was still curled up by the theater doors when she felt her phone buzz in her pocket. She opened it to see a text from David–whom she promply deleted from her contacts, but then read incredulously, “David: Rosa threw herself at me! And then Thomas walked by and she blamed me!”
“I don’t believe it,” she shook her head. Then, she promptly sent another text to two people she knew she could trust-Minka and Natalie. ‘I need help, David is spreading a rumor about me and I can’t do anything to stop him, could you meet me at the theater soon please?”
Minka felt her phone buzz again. This text was from Rosa.
Rosa: I need help, David is spreading a rumor about me and I can’t do anything to stop him, could you meet me at the theater soon please?
“Are you coming?” Minka asked Shae.
“Of course. I knew she wasn’t bad. It looks like we’re on Team Rosa now.” They walked quickly back to the theater and met Rosa at the front doors.
Nathalie walked through the theatre doors, when she felt the buzz of a text message in her pocket. As she reached to retrieve her phone, Nathalie heard a voice say “That was quick.”
It was Rosa. Nathalie sat down next to her as Rosa filled her in on everything that had happened. “Pancakes?”
((Sorry, I can’t type anymore. I’m going to San Diego for the weekend for my dad’s cousin’s wedding. Aggie… if you could continue for me?))
((Does anyone want to RP Claire?))
((Okay, what about this–she sees that Edward is in the hospital (he’s all over the Internet) flips out, and then flies down to here to visit him for a day. Hopefully that will bring his memory back
Claire was walking quickly, nearly running to Edward’s room. As she neared it, she could see crowds and crowds of girls in the hallway. She had no doubt as to why they were there. It was like being at a Jonas Brothers concert. She elbowed her way through the crowds and made her way to Edward’s bedside.
((Now from Edward’s point of view. Sorry for power-playing!))
Edward grinned. He felt like a celebrity. He had so much lipstick smeared on his face that he looked vaguely like a clown. He heard a girl’s voice. She sounded slightly familiar.
“Excuse me! That’s my boyfriend!”
He noticed that a few girls started sobbing when they heard that. He smiled at them, and they instantly stopped. A girl pushed her way through the crowd and stood at the side of his bed. She was fair with long, blond hair and sharp green eyes. He looked at her. There was something familiar about her. Something dim struggled from the depths of his memory.
“What’s your name?” he asked.
“Claire.”
Again, he felt like he ought to remember, he should. It was like a word on the tip of his tongue. Suddenly, someone bumped the fire alarm handle. Sirens went off and the sprinklers came on!!
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!” All the girls screamed. It was chaos as everyone tried to leave the room at once. Everyone but Claire. Edward, however was oblivious to it all. His memory came rushing back, and he almost jumped out of his bed.
“Oh my god, Claire!!!”
((How was that?))
((Awesome! *thumbs up* Don’t worry about the PPing, it works!))
((Eep, I’ve missed a lot. I’ll try to fill in everything from the cafe.))
Rosa slammed the door so loud my fork rattled on the table. At the sudden loud noise, Jason’s eyes defocused and he swayed sideways. I started to get up to help him, but he had already grabbed the table and recovered.
Now there was just an awkward silence. No one in the restaurant spoke.
Suddenly we saw someone striding past the glass window, toward the door. It was the girl I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really didn’t want to see at that moment.
Jason saw her too. Hiding under the table was his idea – luckily there was a tablecloth. We pulled our food under with us, and to anyone else it would look like a clean, empty table with a decorative tablecloth.
Megan did not look happy. She walked commandingly around the restaurant, scanning everyone at all the tables. “Sapphire?” she called, with no answer. Apparently convinced I wasn’t there, she left in a huff.
Jason and I slid out from under the table. “What was that all about?” he asked. “Why would she care if you were here?”
He said it like there was a reason she would be looking for him, but I just said, “I have no idea. Shall we go?”
We walked back to the theater.
((Sorry if I’m PPing too much.))
James:
Maxine and I walked into the hospital and we were promptly trampled by a mass of girls. All we had to do was follow them to Edward. Suddenly the sprinklers went off, so we ran out.
Right then, I got a text.
“Minka: David is such a jerk! He is spreading a rumor that Rosa jumped him when he jumped in her! Forward then come to the theater.”
“Guess we’re seeing Rosa first then. Huh, that’s funny,” I said.
“What?” Maxine asked.
“I didn’t know she still had my number.”
((PEOPLE COME BACK!!!!!!))
FYI I wont be here for about two weeks. No Internet, sorry. You can powerplay with my character as needed, thats fine.
((I’m back. I seem to remember I am RPing Thomas, so I will write for both of my characters.))
NATHALIE:
Rosa accepted the box and plastic fork Nathalie handed to her. “Chocolate pancakes?”
“Today’s the special. They’re good, try them.”
Rosa gulped down pancakes as Nathalie thought over the situation.
“Angie has a grudge on you, ne?”
“Yep.”
“Then it’s very easy.”
“It is?”
“All you need is more backup than Minka and I. Remember, this theater is half made of unusually perceptive and kind people.”
“Like?”
Nathalie rattled off, “Er, me, Minka, Sapphire, Azorica, Maxine, James, Jason?, Thomas-”
“Nope.”
“Huh?”
“Not Thomas,” she repeated.
That’s a surprise, Nathalie thought as she rattled off some more people. Personally, I thought they were a couple. Guess I was wrong… She remembered her embarassing day at the baseball game, but decided not to force her own troubles onto Rosa.
((Hoooweee, don’t know how to start this. Let’s say he met up with Jeremy in the studio.))
THOMAS:
“I don’t understand it!” Thomas ranted to Jeremy. “I thought she liked me!”
Jeremy started, “I don’t think–”
“But I was wrong!” Thomas ranted, cutting him off.
“Fine, never–”
“Why do people always lead you on?! It’s crazy!”
“Listen to me–”
“People are so crazy mean! Jeez!”
“Could you shut up for a second and–”
“I guess she prefers David over me–”
“Could you shut up and let me speak?!” Jeremy almost shouted.
“Okay, no need to shout,” Thomas said.
“There seemed a need to,” he said.
“We came over as soon as we could,” I rushed when Maxine and I finished our sprint over to the theater, “and I sent it to everyone I could think of. Even *shudder* . . . Ashley.”
“Great!” said Minka.
Natalie was talking to Rosa privately.
“What’s wrong with Thomas?”
I rolled my eyes.
“Have you not been paying attention at all? He’s part of this, too. He thinks that either David was all over Rosa or vice versa. And from what I’ve heard, he’s not happy either way,” I explained.
“Wow. I thought guys ‘can’t handle’ drama,” Minka said.
“I’m an actor. It’s what I do.”
((Sorry, I’ve been out of things for a bit. Computers are weird!))
Rosa sighed, picking at the pancakes. “Thomas hates me now. It’s all David’s fault…Thomas thinks I like him Quite the contrary.” She set down the pancakes and gave Nathalie a grateful half-smile. “Thank you.”
“Don’t mention it,” replied Nathalie, smiling back. “But if you ask me, this seems like a ruse. Maybe it’s to break you and Thomas up…I mean, if you were together…” Her face blushed a bright red.
“I thought he liked me,” she said quietly. “But now he’ll never trust me.”
“Maybe I can get Jeremy to talk to him!” offered Nathalie excitedly.
“Thanks for offering,” Rosa sighed again, “but I’ve got to do it on my own. However, I think you and Minka could be a lot of help to me in spreading the truth…I mean, if you still want to. If you believe me.”
“Of course we do,” replied Minka, walking over. “What do we need to do?”
“I have a plan…”
James rubbed his hands together.
“Sounds interesting. Need an extra pair of hands?”
((Yay internet today. Sorry for bad punctuation, this keyboard is weird.))
Shae stood by her sister. “As long as the plan doesn_t involve dancing singing or acting im in. We are awfully good at being in two places at one time, if you know what I mean.”
((Ummm, writer’s block! Does anyone want to PP the encounter between Edward and Claire? Vanillabean, you did a nic job! Would you like to continue?))
((OK I will try.))
Edward stared at the girl standing at his bedside, feeling a blush creeping up his cheeks. What was wrong with him? He never blushed! He could be publicly stood up by a supermodel and never lose his cool. Not that that would ever happen, but still. He noticed that he was wet, and that Claire was too.
“What happened?” he asked.
“You were hit in the head by a baseball,” she replied. “You lost your memory, but I guess now you have it back. The doctor says that you need to stay for one more night, but you can probably leave tomorrow.”
“How did all those girls know that I was here? Am I all over the Internet? Not that I care,” he added. “How could I, with you in the room?”
She looked at him for a second. “You havent changed a bit,” she remarked. He decided to allow himself a tiny moment of sentimentality.
“I missed you,” he blurted out. She looked at him in wonder.
“Wow, you must really love me,” she said. A few girls had snuck back in and were giggling at the exchange. He barely noticed them. “Or that baseball hit you harder than they think. I will be back tomorrow.” She walked out of the room, glaring away the other girls as she went. Edward lay back down, his emotions in a whirl, something that happened only once before. He had moved on; there were hot actresses and models to flirt with. Claire was in the past…or was she?”
((A slight tad mushy, but I suppose this is Edward at his most vulnerable. I had an idea, but it is about as radical as the memory loss. Maybe Edward needs a break.))
((Come back to this thread!!!))
((I’m back, but if you need to advance the plot, feel free to role-play Maxine periodically.))
((127-MUSHY!? Have you read the title if this thread!?))
AZORICA
I watched the exchange, looking amused.
In truth, I was a bit shocked. How had Edward gone from the compassionate and decent person he was with Claire to the shallow ladies’ man he always acted like at the theater?
Claire swept by me and the rest of the group by the door, glaring, and I looked curiously at her.
I walked over to Edward’s side.
“So you do have a heart.” I commented to Edward.
He snapped out of his reveries. “Shut it,” he said, annoyed at me for intruding. “Now is not the time.”
I rolled my eyes. “Touchy, aren’t you?”
“Look, if you’re here to insult me, get it over with and leave me alone.”
“Sorry. I didn’t mean it like that.” I said quietly. “It’s just-”
“What?”
“…Nothing… Never mind.”
“What is it?”
“It doesn’t matter. See you back at the theater.”
I left, more than a little confused at what had just happened. It was all so complicated!
((I think it’s time for a day change.))
(( I second the motion. ))
((I agree. And I’m also sorry for my extended leave of absence, but I thought you all ought to know that I probably won’t be online much anymore. Actually, not nearly as much. I’ve got school starting in the fall, I’m trying to pass driver’s ed classes so that i might someday get a license, both my grandparents are in the hospital and my family spends most of our time away from home, so I’ll see when I can come back and I definitely will try to. I love it a lot here, but until my life gets a bit less hectic I’ll probably be paring down on the computer quite a bit. You can RP Rosa as needed, I’m sure that should be no problem at all. See you guys later, and have fun!
~Aggie))
132–Oh no! We’ll miss you, and we hope that you can come back as much as possible. Good luck with everything!!
((Does anyone mind if I start off the day?))
Minka strode purposefully into the theater, wearing a warm-up suit. Shae took her usual spot in the back of the theater as Minka went up on stage. Most of the dancers were slouching about, looking tired and surly. Maxine climbed up the stairs right behind her.
“All right, everybody, listen up,” she called. “Here’s the deal. We have to get this done. I don’t care if the set comes crashing down–well, maybe I do a bit. I don’t care if all the singers get laringitis. I don’t care if the actors are worse than in ((insert despised movie here)). But what I do care about is the dancing, which will be fantastic. Won’t it?” She looked at them all, and they nodded. “So, let’s stretch out a bit.” She slid into a split. Maxine looked down at her.
“Um, Minka, not everyone is made of rubber,” she said. Minka grinned at her and got up gracefully.
“So, for the second number, we’ll start out like this…”
They worked for two and a half hours. By the end, everyone was exhausted and sweating, but Maxine and Minka were pleased. They had accomplished a lot.
In the meantime, Shae had been observing the various people in the theater. Rosa was going over her lines with another actress. David and Angie were on opposite sides of the theater, acting like the other didn’t exist. Nathalie was working on the set with some other people. She wondered why Nathalie didn’t like her sister; when Minka had told her about the encounter it didn’t make much sense. Sapphire passed Shae. She wanted to ask if their ruse had worked and if Sapphire had a good date, but now wasn’t the time and place to ask. She snickered at the memory, and noticed Megan glaring at her, which made here laugh even harder.
James:
It was weird going to rehearsals without Edward watching our every move. I walked over to Rosa and (insert actress) and began to run lines with them. Glancing over my shoulder, I took a second to see how Maxine and Minka were doing with the dancers. Maxine and I looked eyes for a moment . . .
“James, it’s your line. James? JAMES!” Rosa finally got my attention.
“Geez, you didn’t have to yell loud enough so everyone could hear!”
“But I did,” she replied.
Azorica started laughing as I felt red creep up my neck.
((How about that?))
((Yikes. Lots happened. Now I can’t think of anything to post.
Can someone please vaguely mention that Azorica is with the group every once in a while? I won’t have internet access for a week, starting tomorrow, so…))
((Fishy, what if Claire is Minka and Shae’s second cousin or something, so she stays with them? It might be easier to work with three characters at once if they are usually together.
This is going to be lots of fun. Claire thinks she has a claim on Edward, but if Azorica starts falling for him….drama! Have fun in Russia, Daisy*chain!))
((Thanks, I did!))
((Hey GAPAs, how about a new thread? For the new drama! ))
((Oh no! I’m sorry for not posting since who knows when… I just got a little confused with all the new RPGs, and I was only able to follow my character’s story and plot… If someone could just tell me a little bit about the main plot, then I could probably get the story going up again… I think a new thread is exactly the little boost we need to start RPing again! The problem is that there aren’t many posts on this thread, so the GAPAs might not let us have a new one…))
((COME HERE PEOPLE SO WE CAN HAVE A NEW THREAD!
There. That should do it.))
((Ach! This thread needs to be revived….))
((PEOPLE COME BACK!!!!!! REVIVE!!!!!!))
Nathalie worked at the canvas, slowly shading in a counter with a black pencil, muttering about incompetent artists. On the other side of the room, Jeremy was talking with Ms. Hutcherson about the balcony.
God, this is awkward. Please don’t come over here…
He started walking out the door.
Stay, please…
Her thoughts ricocheted back and forth betweeen wanting him to stay and wanting him to go.
Eventually, to save herself from a serious headache, she flew out the door, and bumped into Minka.
((Here goes… your move, VBpi…)
((NEW THREAD. PLEASE.))
The nurse came in. She was quite cute. Edward didn’t even look.
“You should be able to go home tomorrow. Are you feeling up to it?”
“Yeah, sure, whatever.”
He stared out the window with the knowledge that Claire was now walking to her car in the parking lot. Why did she have to leave? She hadn’t given him a reason.
The reason was that Claire didn’t want Edward to think that she wanted to be back with him. She did, but she thought it would be funnier if he didn’t. She took a second as she stepped in the car to wonder if she was being cruel.
Cruel? No. Devious, yes.
(( Hey arrgfishi, what’s the plan?))
Get ready for a post that’s longer than my already long posts!
Minka went to get a drink of water backstage when Nathalie practically knocked her over.
“Sorry,” Nathalie muttered, turning dark red. Of all the people she didn’t want to see…
“No problem. But hey, about your notebook, I didn’t look in it on purpose or anything, and I didn’t tell anyone about it.” She had told Shae about the encounter, but that didn’t really count, seeing as she wasn’t trying to embarass Nathalie or anything. “You’re a really, really good artist. You have nothing to be ashamed of.”
Nathalie mustered up a weak smile and brushed past her. The truth was, she thought that Minka and her sister were the kind of people that Nathalie had once been ((is that a grammatical sentence in English?)). They were popular at school, yes, but not in the same way that Nathalie had been. They weren’t part of that crowd.
“I don’t get it!” Minka told Shae a few moments later. “I apologized for accidentally looking into her sketchbook, and she just walked past me! Does she WANT to keep fighting or something? I don’t even care what she drew!”
“Just leave it,” Shae consoled her sister. “You don’t have to work together or anything. And besides, you did everything right by apologizing, so if she doesn’t want to accept that then it’s her problem. And Megan White is still glaring at me.”
“Geeeeeeeee, I wonder why?”
“Well it’s not my fault that the guy she liked for two years asked me to the dance last year, is it? Or that I beat her in tennis? Or that I’m just more awesome than she is?” The two girls laughed. “Claire just texted me and asked if she could come to the theater tomorrow. Do you think Edward will be OK with that?”
“I don’t see why not. I mean, it’s another girl to flirt with, right?” ((They don’t know about the whole Edward/Claire/Azorica drama. I’m debating which side they’ll be on. Interesting move, Fishy. This will be fun!))
Nathalie just thought it was better if Minka wasn’t her friend; Nathalie was a person that could easily ruin a reputation just by being seen with her. Minka was pretty näive, like Nathalie’s past self, and she didn’t want Minka’s world come crashing down around her as the show progressed. Life was still a party to Minka, while her’s was a funeral procession.
She found a nice chair in the back corner and sat down carefully. She didn’t want to be eaten by the chair…
She started drawing.
((OK, can I introduce a not-so new character? Is it OK with everyone that Claire is on the makeup team? That way she will have a good excuse to be at the theater, with Edward…Oh, and she doesn’t know that Edward is the director, and he doesn’t know that she is Minka and Shae’s cousin. Minka and Shae don’t know that Claire and Edward were together and then broke up.))
Claire strode into the theater and surveyed the scene. People were scattered all over the place. Where was the director? The dancers were working on stage, led by two girls. She found Shae sitting in the last row.
“Hey,” she said, sitting next to her. “What’s going on? Where is the director?”
Shae stared at her. “You don’t know what happened? It was on the news,” she said.
“Well, I just got in yesterday. Was he in an accident or something?”
“Yes, and his name is–”
“Um, Shae,” Rosa appeared with Azorica and James behind her. “We want to go over this scene without scripts, so do you mind following along?” She turned to Claire. “Hi, I’m Rosa. I don’t think I’ve met you?”
“This is my cousin Claire. She’s on makeup,” Shae said. “Sure, I’ll help. Page twenty-one? James, you begin…”
Claire went backstage. Azorica recognized her from the hospital. What was she doing here? Was she trying to get Edward back? It was all very strange.
((134.1, 146- Thanks for keeping Azorica alive! ))
I stopped dead when I saw Claire. That was definitely her from the hospital yesterday.
‘Is she trying to get him back?’ I thought, then wondered why I even cared. ‘Why does it matter to me so much that they should get back together? I don’t like him. I don’t. I do not! …Do I?’
But she’d said she didn’t know he was the director… ‘Maybe she was lying?’
“Azorica, are you coming?” Rosa called. She and James were already onstage.
I realized I’d stayed where I was, by the audience.
“Uh, yeah, I’ll be right there.”
I went through my lines absentmindedly; I wanted to get away and find out what Claire was up to, but I didn’t see how I could.
((Time for some DRAMA!))
Edward was feeling much better now. Even better than before the incident. He walked with confidence in his new suit. He no longer was a selfish chick-magnet; he was a man in love, and he was fine with that. In, fact, great. He had a new feeling of happiness that he only remembered from a few moments in his life, most of them involving Claire.
He pushed open the big doors to the theater and immediately spotted Claire. He also saw a group of people walking away, and Azorica trailing behind them.
“Hello!” Edward greeted to Claire.
“Oh, hello, Edward. Would you happen to know where the director is?” He smiled, and blushed. Something he rarely ever did, but everything was different about him now.
“Well, as a matter of fact, I’m the director of this play!” He seemed proud.
“Oh really! That’s great!” She didn’t seem too happy for him. This crushed Edward. Even the slight disapproval of Claire was heart-
wrenching. But really, what was going on? There was no reason for her to not be happy for him.
“Oh. Well, I better be off and do some director-type things. Busy, busy, busy!” He walked away and frowned the second he turned away from her. This was really a dissapointment. He looked for something to do. As he was looking, he spotted Azorica watching Claire. He walked over to her.
“Hello,” She jumped, “May I ask why you are staring at her?”
“Um, who? Who… am I staring at? No one! That’s who…” She looked distracted, and even slightly panicked.
“Uh-huh. Sure,” He decided that she had gotten embarrassed enough.
Edward walked away, and prepared for the stressful day to come.
((Hooray!! Can I add a little bit?))
As soon as Edward walked away, Claire spotted Azorica staring at him, and then her. She felt a thrill of jealousy. What was this little girl doing, checking out her boyfriend? Was she being too cold and standoffish, by brushing off Edward? What if this blond chick got ideas? Maybe the twins could “hint” to Azorica that Claire and Edward were together, and always would be. No, they didn’t know, and that wasn’t the kind of thing they would do. Claire sighed. The annoying thing about having the best boyfriend in the world was that everyone else wanted him.
((Of course you can; you are Claire, after all. I would like it if you turned Claire’s jealousy more into love-blinded than having sounding devious and manipulating… Claire is supposed to be the grounded one.))
After running through some lines with Shae, Azorica, and Rosa, James pulled Rosa to the side. It was time.
“You sure you’ve got this? I can back you up, you know.”
“I’m fine James.”
“All right. Show time!”
He gave Maxine and Minka the signal. The plan was already in action.
((I’ve got an idea, but it’s not great. I made it vague enough where ‘the plan’ could be anything.))
You can tell us your idea, and everyone can collaborate.
149.1–I’ll try. This is a LONG post.
Although she felt extremely jealous, Claire also felt a bit of regret. She shouldn’t have treated Edward like that. Maybe he felt that she didn’t love him as much anymore. They hadn’t seen each other for a long time. She would go and talk to him and let him know that she still loved him as much as before. There was still one little thing that she had to take care of: Azorica. When Shae was done with the other group of actors, Claire pulled her aside. She tried to get Minka to come down from the stage, but Minka wouldn’t.
“I need you to do me a favor, and Minka can be in on this too,” Claire said. Shae looked suspiciously at her. “I need you to watch Azorica.”
“What is she, a TV?” Shae asked incredulously. “What do you mean, watch her?”
“I think she likes Edward,” Claire responded, slightly impatiently. “I need to know if that’s true. So if she acts weird around him or me or when she sees Edward and me together, then just tell me.”
“FYI Claire, everyone acts weird if Edward is near them. He’s extraordinarily handsome, OK?”
“I still really need to know–”
“Look, this is crazy. Edward doesn’t have a girlfriend or anything, so it’s fair game to everyone here. I’m not taking sides or going undercover for anyone.”
“No, it’s not fair game.” Claire lowered her voice. “I was Edward’s girlfriend back in ((insert state)).”
“You WHAT?” Shae sputtered. “You–him–so what are you doing here? This can’t be a coincidence.”
“When I heard that he was in the hospital I came down to see him. I panicked.”
“Well, then, if you love him so much then just go tell him! I mean, Claire, it’s hard for anyone to compete for anyone with you in the room. So why are you worrying about Azorica? Don’t bother, seriously. Just go talk to him.” She gave her a gentle push in Edward’s direction. “Go on!” Claire smiled and started making her way in Edward’s direction. Shae stalked out the door of the theater. She was starving, and her sister probably was too. She would go to the bakery on the corner and get them a lunch. When their blood sugar levels were low, the twins were generally difficult to deal with.
Edward was frowning over the script when he heard a beautiful voice right beside him.
“Hey, Mr. Director.” Claire was standing next to him, with the sweet smile that she reserved only for him on her face.
“Hey!” He straightened up, smiling.
“New suit? I love it.” He smiled and blushed. “What are you doing?”
“I’m going over the script, seeing if there is anything that can be taken out, or if anything needs to be moved. It’s pretty good as it is.”
“I’m sure you’ll do a wonderful job with it,” she said.
“So…um, why did you come down here anyway?”
Her eyes widened in shock and she laughed. “Hello? My boyfriend is in the hospital? What did you want me to do?”
He registered the use of the word “boyfriend,” not “ex” or “ex-boyfriend.” He felt his spirits lift considerably. “So, if there’s a break or something, do you want to go have lunch or something?” He nodded. “I had better get back to work.” She smiled at him and then went backstage. He watched her walk away, her long hair swinging behind her.
Note: No offense intended to Azorica. Shae just thinks that since Claire was Edward’s girlfriend then he’s probably going to choose Claire over Azorica.
((That’s perfect!))
Edward felt Giddy with love. Claire clearly stated their relationship as a couple! This was great. Edward never thought his life could be so great.
He read the script without actually reading it, and then looked up to the people practicing on stage.
The theater is running smoothly; the woman I love loves me back… What could go wrong?
((Daisy, I want you to decide how to involve Azorica))
((151.1- You really shouldn’t have said that… *maniacal laughter*))
Azorica watched Claire go up to Edward, watched Edward go all weak at the knees, watched them get back together.
What had been a faint bundle of confused feelings at the hospital flared into what was unmistakably jealousy.
She struggled with the urge to do something drastic.
‘I have to quit.’
Then you’d be accepting that she’s won.
‘I can’t just stay here and watch this happening!’
You can threaten to leave the play.
‘Then Edward definitely won’t like me.’
…You could split them up…
‘….Yes…’
As Claire walked by, Azorica gave her a friendly smile. Claire looked surprised, but recovered herself quickly and gave a small smile in return.
((This is going to be good….))
((I’m on a friend’s computer right now (a verrry slow computer), and if someone could PP Nathalie until the computer is fine and virus-free. Okay? Any takers? (first one up claims the prize! ehehe.)))
((152-Oh no you didn’t!! I’ll see how I can try to head you off if you make your move.
And now for a bit of silliness:))
Shae found Minka waiting for her when she returned from to bakery.
“Thank you so much! I was starving!” she said. They ate lunch in the lobby so they wouldn’t get crumbs in the theater, but the doors were open so they could see what was going on. Shae told Minka about Claire, Edward and Azorica, and Minka had the same reaction Shae did.
“So, Claire went up to Edward and they talked and now I guess they’re back together.”
“There’s one happy couple,” Minka observed. “Everything else around here is a mess. There’s the,” she lowered her voice, “Rosa and Thomas mess, Angie and David aren’t talking to each other but of course we all know why, I think Nathalie kind of likes Jeremy, and I don’t know how Sapphire and Jason are doing.” She bit her lip, and then looked at her sister.
“Dearest darlingest momsie and popsicle,” she began.
“My dear father,” Shae replied.
“There’s been some confusion over rooming here at Shiz.”
“But of course I’ll care for Nessa,”
“But of course, I’ll riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiise above it.”
“For I know that’s how you’d want me to respond, yes.”
“There’s been some confusion for you see my roommate is…”
“Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe,” Shae sang.
“Blond!” Minka shot back.
“What is this feeling, so sudden, and new?”
“I felt the moment, I laid eyes on you!”
“My pulse is rushing,”
“My head is reeling,”
“My face is flushing, what is this feeling?”
“Fervid as a flame, does it have a name?”
“Yeeeeeeeeees, yeeeeeeeeeeees! Loathing! Unadulterated loathing!”
“For your face–”
“–your voice–”
“–your clothing!”
“Let’s just say, I loathe it all! Every little trait however small, makes my very flesh begin to crawl
With simple utter loathing
There’s a strange exhilaration
In such total detestation!
It’s so pure so strong!!
Though I do admit it came on fast, still I do believe that it can last!
And I will be loathing you, my whole life long!”
The twins broke into laughter, and Rosa and Nathalie, passing by, heard them. They were so off-key that Rosa didn’t know whether to laugh or wince. She laughed. She had had precious little to laugh about lately.
((I think I found a song for Edward. “You’re So Vain” by Carly Simon.))
((Geez, the day after I put out a plee for a PPer, the computer is fixed.))
((I can’t believe I haven’t thought of that yet! But Edward is better now. Still handsome and charming, but not so openly vain anymore. ))
((Song for Claire: Breezy by Jojo.))
((What’s this plan of which you speak, jjjetplane/girlw/cats?))
((PEOPLE PLEASE COME BACK!!!!))
156–Rosa had a plan to spread the truth about how David kissed her against her will, and not that she was cheating on Thomas.
((Rosa has taken to calling Nathalie Nath, as a nickname. Nathalie has grown used to it.))
“You sing really badly,” Nathalie said, smiling, while Rosa giggled.
Shae started tugging on Nathalie’s arm. “C’mon, you sing!”
“W-what? Oh no, I couldn’t possibly-”
“Yes, Nath, sing!” Rosa said, clapping her hands.
“But-but I wouldn’t know what to sing!” Nathalie glanced around. Oh, no.
Jeremy was talking with Will ((other guy on set crew)) nearby.
”Sing… Somewhere Over the Rainbow!” Minka suggested. The others agreed fervently.
“Fine! Fine! I will!” Nathalie snapped. The others cheered.
Nathalie took a deep breath and grit her teeth, vowing she would make the other pay for this.
Nathalie’s voice was shaky and uncertain. Her mother said her voice was like herself, quiet but beautiful. She faltered in some places, but sang the song well, as she had seen the movie many times before.
When she was finished, her friends erupted into applause. She looked to where Jeremy was.
He was staring.
Oh, crap.
Crapcrapcrap.
Craaaaaaap.
She started heading for the door, muttering something about lunch. When she was a few yards out of the door, she felt a hand grab her arm.
“Nathalie, can I have a word?” Jeremy said.
Edward watched Azorica smile at Claire as she walked by.
What exactly is going on between those two?
He shrugged it off and began to get ready for the day.
“Alright everybody! get on stage and let’s practice “The Rumble!” Edward watched as the orchestra played dramatic music, and the actors on stage played out the scene. He sat back and relaxed. This was going to be a great play.
((So, is anyone starting the plan?))
((Hello?!?!?!))
What was your idea? I know you didn’t think it was that great but it could be a good foundation.
Nathalie and Jeremy sat by the fountain in the park. An awkward silence dropped down between the two like a wall.
Suddenly, Nathalie burst out, “I’m sorry you had to hear me sing!”
Jeremy, flustered, waved his hands in denial. “No no no, you’re really good!”
“You’re a really good person, you know that?” Nathalie said, staring down at the clenched hands on her lap.
“I’m not.” Jeremy muttered.
“Yes, you are!” Nathalie swung her head around to look at him, the color rising in her cheeks. “You’re one of the only people to make me emerge from my shell! I was hurt before! That’s why I’m so shy! But you drew me out! All of you did! So stop denying that you’re not the most fantastic person! So much that I love you!”
((PEOPLE PLEASE COME BACK!!))
Claire and Edward went out to lunch. It was turning into the best day of Edward’s life. As they were walking back to the theater, and group of three guys walking in the opposite direction saw Claire. One of them whistled, and another called, “Hey baby!” She completely ignored them. When they saw Edward they realized that they had no chance and slunk away.
Jeremy and Nathalie gaped at what Nathalie had just said sunk in.
Nathalie did the only thing she could do in a situation like that: she ran.
She ran blindly, not taking any route, just running. Tears slided off her face, and she finally leaned against a chain link fence, panting and gasping. When she regained breath in her lungs, she looked around, not knowing where her legs had taken her.
It was an old, dilapidated playground.
Nathalie silently crept through the abandoned play structures, running her hand over the peeling paint and rusty metal. The slide had a large hole, making it unusable, and the chains had snapped off the swings. The seesaw was rusted into place, and the jungle gym was missing many beams. The sand had been carried away by the winds.
Nathalie felt like she was intruding on something, something always behind closed doors, something always spoken of in hushed voices. There was a slight breeze, making the chains of the swings sway.
She sat down on the down end of the seesaw, and stared at the broken playground around here. Instead of being unsettling, it felt… calming, somehow. Like she was alone.
Then she realized: she was completely alone, and no one she knew would see or hear her here.
So Nathalie took a breath, and sang.
“If nothing comes from nothing
If something makes something
And never the other way
Then why
Am I here
Today?
I used to be something
Never was a nothing
Then what
Am I now
If not
Nothing?
I’m certainly not a something,
But I can’t be a nothing
For something always comes
From something
And nothing always comes
From nothing
It can never be said
That am I something
It can never be said
That am here
Right now.
If you
Say something
Never
Makes nothing
Then what
Am I
Doing here?”
((A typo in the song:
“That I am here
Right now.”
Sorry!))
I was tony in the last part, and have never posted for a while. Should I just quit or what? I always thought this was a dead thread.
No no, you’re always welcome back, and feel free to contribute. I’m rather new; I’m a choreographer.
((Hello…?))
((*echo*))
Romantic Musical Comedy people come here!!!
((We need a new thread, or a new exciting thing to bring people back.))
168–Like what? There’s the Edward/Claire/Azorica love triangle, but you and Daisy*Chain and I are the only ones involved in that. I suggested a new thread to the GAPAs but I don’t know if they’ll give us one. Oh, got it. What if we said that opening night was coming up very soon, so of course everyone’s in a tizzy and stressing out, and there can be a lot of tears and broken/renewed friendships, couples breaking up/getting back together (Rosa and Thomas!) and general things like that? People might come back for that.
((<- Don't forget your double parenthesis! Um, I think we should make this love triangle into an octagon… Somebody should be in love with Azorica or Claire, and then we can just get more people added… That would be hilarious.))
((Sorry! A love octagon? That would be fun! The problem is that there are mostly girl characters. It would be fantastic if someone could fall in love with Azorica–Claire would love that, anyway. Or someone could fall in love with Shae, thinking she’s Minka or vice versa…hmm…))
PEOPLE COME BACK!!!
((Maybe James could fall for someone other than Maxine! I second the idea for opening night to be soon.))
((I just hate to do it without Aggie. By the way, if I’m being too controlling, just let me know.))
((You’re doing great! I’ve been meaning to post on at least a dozen different RPGs, but I can never find the time with all this homework… I don’t mind at all if you powerplay Azorica.
…Speaking of homework… *goes to finish up*))
((Our global teacher is indirectly killing this thread….))
((Indirectly?! Au contraire! She may as well be stabbing it to death!
Nah, a lot of people have writer’s block, I suppose. I know I do.))
Hey Fishy, how old is Edward? Whatever age he is, Claire is the same. I have an idea to counter Azorica, but it depends on age, and it will add drama, depending on how Edward reacts.
Do explain.
((Fishy–All right, fine, but it’s rather (read: really) nutty.))
So that night, Claire was shopping online. She perused some sites, and then went to tiffany.com. She was going to look at some charms for her bracelet, but then the word “Diamonds” caught her eye. A drop-down menu appeared when she clicked on it. She nearly clicked on “Rings,” but then refrained. “Too crazy,” she thought, shutting her laptop. “It would be too good to be true.”
((But, like I said, it really does depend on age. I assumed Edward was 18, at least, because he was the director, but if he and Claire aren’t legal adults then I will most definitely scrap the whole idea. But, it would definitely deter Azorica. I know she’s 13, but if she likes Edward then would they be closer in age….?))
((Yeah, that may be a problem… Anyway, change Azorica’s age to, say, 17. She acts older than 13, anyway.
I don’t know, I kinda like your idea. Lots of drama!
I’m thinking maybe Claire gets the ring to scare off Azorica, and then Edward thinks there is someone else she is seeing… Then that all resolves and he actually proposes. Or something.
Yes? No?))
You’re a genius. FISHY!!! What do you think??
This is kind of turning into Romantic Musical Soap Opera, but oh well.
((Ahaha, why thank you!
Fishy and I and our friends at school were actually planning to spend the next day acting like we were in a soap opera. Hehe. Très fun.))
I’m back!
Sorry it took so long. Getting back into the swing of things is hard! Sophomore year, lots of homework, made the school play (we’re doing I Remember Mama and I’m one of the annoying aunts, how fitting). And then I remembered my favorite play…er, musical!
I just read the thread again. Maybe now we can do some David sabotaging!
Speaking of which, where is RoseQuartz?
HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What do you think of having opening night soon?
Sure! How are we going to do this…
If it’s not too late…Is there any space for a new character? Like is there anywhere in the story where a new character might/could possibly be inserted?
Because this story seems quite (read: very) interesting…and I’d like to join if that’s ok.
Thanks!
((Sure, join! We don’t mind. :3 ))
((We’d love to have new people! Just post a character with some background information. I’m not sure if there are main roles open in the cast, but I think you can join set and crew, or be a minor cast member. I’m sure we can work you in somehow. Also, comments that aren’t part of the story are in double parentheses, something I forget to do QUITE often. :-)))
((Oh…sorry. Anywhere specific that a new character could be wanted?))
((Hey Fishy, what do you think of post 170.1.1 and the nested comments following? Daisy*Chain had a great idea, but we need your input too.))
((bella the aviatrix–I don’t know if there’s need for a specific character, but you could be a bit ambiguous and then go from there. It’s possible that a specific role may need to be filled but I couldn’t tell you which one. Agrrrfishi, do you know?))
((Well, we do need a few of the Jets and/or sharks. They could also be girls dressed up as guys. It’s gender ambiguous. ))
((Like Phineous Trout…))
((Exacatacaly.))
((I’m so sorry for not seeing it sooner! Yes, your idea is great, and Daisy*Chain’s little add on will be perfect. Though, I don’t think that Azorica should be completely scared off. She should be suspicious, and start to talk to Edward about how he feels about Claire. But would Claire say that it was Edward’s ring? Or would she sort of assume that Azorica would make that connection? If you’re planning the latter, then we could make Azorica ask Edward directly about the ring, thus making them both think that Claire is seeing someone else, causing Edward and Azorica to be a more likely couple. Of course, Claire wouldn’t be too happy about that…. so there would either be a cat-fight, or a nice monologue about how much Claire loves Edward, and then Edward would have to make the ultimate decision…))
((Cause and effect, baby.))
((Does anyone else like Jeremy (apart from Nathalie)?))
((No.))
((Aha… I see where you’re going.
Ah! Idea! :3
See, Jeremy and Nathalie are like, avoiding each other because of Nath’s outburst in the park. So your character, she can go and confess love to Jeremy (our choice if you want her to be that straightforward.). Jeremy accidentally accepts a date. And the drama unfolds!
So, are you willing to go along with this? Huh? Huh? :3 ))
((Does anybody know where Thomas is?))
((Okay, can someone help me put Ashley back in? I’m sorry that I don’t have the time to read all the comments between now and then.))
((Zinc the sorceress – yes! I am most definitely willing to go along with this.
*cheers because there is somewhere a new character could be used*
Should I think of a character name, looks, personality, background et cetera et cetera?
And how old should my character be?))
((Zinc- of course! More than willing!))
((Um, can someone help me get back in, too?))
((Long post, including a summary.))
((I’m going with the second scenario, Fishy. It fits Claire’s character better.))
Minka, Shae and Claire were driving to the theater when Minka suddenly noticed Claire’s new jewelry.
“Are you getting married?” She blurted out, at the same time Shae asked, “When’s the wedding?†Claire just smiled. When they reached the theater, Claire strode through the front doors with the confidence of a star walking the red carpet. She was as glamorous as always, but today she felt completely unstoppable. She quickly found Edward.
“Hey baby,” she greeted him with a light peck on the lips. “How are you today?”
“Great!” he said, lighting up. “And the play is nearly done. We could almost be ready to perform…”
While he was speaking, she had brushed aside a stray piece of hair. He must have noticed her ring, because he trailed off and a funny look came over his face. Azorica, unbeknown to either of them, had been watching from a distance.
((How was that? I tried not to PP too much.))
((bookgirl_me and JJjetplane-girlw/catsâ„¢–Welcome back! Summary: Edward was kind of falling for Azorica. James broke up with you and he and Maxine went on a date. I was introduced (I’m a choreographer, my character’s name is Minka Taylor, who has an identical twin sister Shae who usually hangs out at the theater with everyone. Minka and Nathalie had a misunderstanding, so they’re not quite friends, but not quite enemies.) David and Angie had their “fight” and “broke up.” Their plan was to humiliate Rosa somehow. Everyone took a day off and went to a baseball game, where Edward was hit by a baseball. He had mild amnesia and didn’t remember anything. While Edward was in the hospital, David kissed Rosa (against her will) while Thomas was watching, and so now Thomas doesn’t trust Rosa anymore and Rosa is heartbroken. Sapphire and Jason also went on a date. Jason had been in an accident, and Megan was flirting a lot with him, so he and Sapphire managed to go on a date while the twins “distracted” Megan. Rosa had a plan to spread the truth about how she was tricked and try to sabotage Angie and David, but we’re not sure what it is yet. Edward’s ex-girlfriend Claire (also my character) came to visit Edward, and when he saw her he remembered everything. She is now working on hair and makeup for the play, and Edward is back to directing. Azorica finds out that she does in fact like Edward, and is plotting to break him and Claire up. Claire also has a plan to try to get Edward to propose to her. Nathalie had an outburst and confessed that she likes Jeremy, so her and Jeremy’s relationship is kind of awkward. I think that’s pretty much it.))
((I can help Bella, if she’d like…
Nathalie and Jeremy are around 16.))
((Yes Zinc I would like!
Er..should I start by making a character first? I know you don’t want to create the whole character for me but what kind of personality would work best in this story? Thanks!))
((Oh, and SFTDP – but should my character be any relation to any of the other people? Otherwise there isn’t really a good explanation as to why someone would just suddenly show up..or would there?))
((I don’t quite know… ))
((Well, at least everyone is trying to come back… To bookgirl and agrrrfishi: Personally, I don’t have a clue where they are and how to put them in, but if you even have the smallest hint of what they were doing, quickly go through that. Right now, everyone is preparing for big drama storm, so find your own drama! You can also try and tie in with what’s already going on. Maybe Ashley also has feelings for Edward… Fake or real? That’s up to you!))
((I’m going to bring Rosa and Thomas back together now so we can begin sabotage.))
Rosa sat dejectedly on a bench in South Memorial park, with a bag of chocolate covered raisins and a broken heart. She ate a raisin, then threw one to the pigeons, then ate another one, then threw another one.
“What’s the use?” She sighed, and dumped the contents of the bag on the ground. The little gray birds began to gather around her feet, pecking and gulping down the sweet candy, but Rosa couldn’t bear to eat one more. The content feeling that chocolate brought was brought down substantially by Rosa’s strong guilt and sadness.
Suddenly, there was the sound of a twig breaking somewhere in the woods behind her. Rosa spun around quickly to see Thomas coming towards her.
“Hey,” he said quietly.
“Hi,” she replied. Her heart was pounding like a bass drum on steroids. “W-would you like to…sit down?”
“Okay,” he replied. he walked over and slowly sat on the bench next to her. They were silent for a few moments, then each spoke at once. “I’m sorry?”
“You are?” they replied in unison.
“Yes,” Rosa said first, smiling broadly. “But I want you to know…” She leaned closer to him. “I didn’t really kiss David. He kissed me first, I didn’t want him to.”
“I know,” said Thomas.
“You know?” Rosa was puzzled.
“ Now I know,” he finished. “I can tell. You wouldn’t be this sad if you had meant to kiss him.”
“Oh, Thomas!” She beamed, threw her arms around him, and hugged him, then blushed furiously. “Ah, I mean…”
“I know,” he smiled. “I know everything.” And, with that, he leaned in and kissed her.
It was not too long, or perhaps it was, that they drew apart. Rosa couldn’t tell space, nor time, nor the beating of her heart apart from his. She looked up at him, smiled and drew closer. “I always knew I liked you.”
“Me, too.” Thomas grinned. They sat on the bench for a while, enjoying each others’ company. Finally, Thomas stood up, and took Rosa by the hand. “Come on,” he said, motioning towards the theater. “Let’s go back.”
“But..” she said, her head downcast.
“What’s the matter?”
“A lot of them still think I did mean to kiss David.”
“It doesn’t matter,” he replied. “Once they see us together again, the whole point of Angie and David’s plan will fall to dust. And I’m glad.”
“So am I,” she said, smiling, and they walked hand in hand down the path towards the theater.
((Ooooooh, what’s this? Can I join?))
((This is a formerly awesome RPG which has died. Please, please join. We need fresh perspective! And even more clichéness! XD))
((Well, actually, it seems to be coming back!))
((But what’s it about? And are there any character restrictions?))
((Nope. The only thing you need to know about characters is WE NEED MORE GUYS. So yeah. ))
((WHAT’S. IT. ABOUT.))
((There’s. A. Summary. Below. No need to be pushy. ))
((Daisy*Chain… You should add on to this…))
Had he been wrong? What was going on? Was this some kind of sick joke?, Edward thought.
He looked back at Claire, who was now talking to someone else that he couldn’t see. He looked around in the theater, trying to find hope in his sorry little life. He spotted Azorica, looking distraught. She then raised her head and looked at him for a second, but then quickly brought her eyes down to a book. Edward sighed, I guess nobody wants me anymore…
He sulked out of the theater. As he got into his car, Azorica ran up to him.
“Um, are you and Claire…”
“What? Engaged? Oh no! She’s ran off for some other guy!” He was getting angrier.
“Wait, you didn’t give her that ring?”
“No! Now, if you will excuse me, I’m going to go home and watch Spanish soap Operas for 6 hours!” He rode off in style, and Azorica stood there in wonder. She thought about something and then ran back inside to talk to Claire.
((That’s where you come in. I think Azorica should slowly figure out that Claire is playing a trick on her, and then make her mad by going out, or pretending to go out, with Edward.))
She’s run off. (Present, run/runs; past, ran; participle, run.)
((I’m sorry. I don’t think that I have learned that in English yet… *shrug* Anyway, Edward is the one talking, so correct grammar isn’t needed in every sentence. ))
((I would like to join, I just don’t know how…can someone help me out here?))
((Soccer Starr and I-Man, there is a summary of what’s going on in post 182. We would love to have you!! This is an RPG about people in a musical (West Side Story) and all the drama that happens. It’s very realistic–no superpowers or anything like that. We definitely need more guy roles. I’m not sure if there are specific roles in the cast open, but you could be working on the set, lighting, a dancer, a minor cast member (Shark or Jet), costuming, whatever.))
Claire saw Edward run out of the theater with Azorica following him and felt a twinge of nervousness. What if he took the ring too seriously? She willed herself to focus, but it was hard when she heard Shae ask, “Where did the director go?”
Warner Joes, if you would like to join too, that would be great! Are you new?
((Here’s a summary for everyone who wants to join:
The thread is a story about a bunch of kids and their director (Edward) who are putting on a play called West Side Story (in the theater that Rosa lives in and her parents own). Rosa and Angie are formerly best friends in an on-going feud because Rosa beat Angie out for the main role of Maria, and Angie and her boyfriend David are in with sabatoge, trying to bring Rosa down by breaking her and her crush-and now boyfriend- Thomas, apart. Meanwhile, Nathalie and Jeremy are a couple interested in one another. Edward is a player whom all girls are attracted to (or so he’d like to believe). He formerly liked Ashley, who dumped him. (Ashley is like Sharpay in HSM, and is now going out with James.) Jason and Sapphire like each other. Right now, Azorica and Edward like each other and Claire likes Edward, and it’s all very complicated.
PLACES WHERE WE COULD USE CHARACTERS:
We are currently missing the male lead in the play, Tony. If someone could introduce a male character to play Tony, that would be great. We also need the supporting male lead, Bernardo. Some Sharks and Jets would be great. Then they can get into whatever drama they want.
If we could get all characters back to the theater ASAP, that would be great!))
((Um, James is dating Maxine now. By the way, there was a past of Minka and James being part of another show earlier that could somehow bring up drama.))
((Soccer Starr and I-Man, there is a summary of what’s going on in post 182. We would love to have you!! This is an RPG about people in a musical (West Side Story) and all the drama that happens. ((Warner Joes, I thought I saw you post on this thread, but I confused you with someone else. You’re perfectly welcome to join, if you want. Sorry about any confusion!))
((Psst…GAPAs. Did you zap my post here?))
JJjetplane-girlw/catsâ„¢, thinking about shortening/changing her name–I would like to keep Minka and Shae from falling in love with anyone. Someone can fall in love with THEM, but they’re not going to. Claire is getting all the drama.
((Well, I was thinking that the drama doesn’t have to be falling in love, but maybe connecting characters in ways no one would expect. For example, someone might’ve known Edward before this show but didn’t want to remember it, or some use like that. Not love. I’ve already got Maxine!))
((Ack, sorry. I kind of… forgot… about this thread…))
[AZORICA]
I stared off after Edward, my insides in a twist.
‘If he didn’t give her that ring, then… Wait. No. That doesn’t make sense: Claire wouldn’t go through the whole show of liking him and then run off with another guy…’
I went back inside and found Claire.
“That’s a very pretty ring!” I gushed, “Who on Earth gave it to you?”
“Why, Edward, of course!” Claire exclaimed with glee.
“Oh, congratulations! When is the wedding?”
We continued the mindless chatter, each trying to find out what the other knew.
((Glad to have you back))
((Yay, thank you! ))
((Hmmm…I’m not sure how to work with this. Edward thinks I’m engaged to someone else, but Azorica thinks I’m engaged to Edward. Daisy*chain, is Azorica (I’m so tempted to call her Azzy) going to “congratulate” Edward, and then he finds out? Now I’m thinking of using the twins to tell Edward that it’s not someone else’s ring. Should Azorica try to steal their evidence or something? That way, Edward might ask her out on a date. And welcome back! :-D))
Minka and Shae heard what Claire said.
“That doesn’t seem right,” Shae whispered to her twin. “That’s just not Claire. Why wouldn’t she tell us in the car?”
“There’s a way to check if it’s her ring,” Minka said.
Shae ran home as quickly as she could and crept upstairs to the guest room. It was very orderly, and she quickly found what she was looking for. There was a receipt from Overstock. com for a cubic zircona ring, and it was billed to Claire. Shae scanned it on the printer to make her own copy, and replaced the original receipt exactly where she found it.
“Good,” Minka said when Shae returned. “We can go to Edward’s (house? Mansion? Apartment?) this afternoon and tell him it’s not someone else’s ring.”
((Haha, Azzy is fine! And thanks!
…Azorica knows it’s not Edward’s ring because he told her it wasn’t. She doesn’t particularly care if Claire bought the ring or got it from someone else, because either way she can get to Edward.
…But she will want to steal the evidence, to make sure Edward doesn’t realize that Claire isn’t cheating on him. [yeesh, that’s confusing.]
…So no, Azorica isn’t about to congratulate Edward. And besides, he already saw the ring.))
((Okay, I’m semi-back and need more drama. Hmmm, how about if someone from Angie’s past that she used to hate shows up? Or something? I could make an NPC to use for this purpose, or some new character could do it.))
((Do I need to make a character profile or something of that sort? I think I want to make my character a female prop director of some sort if there isn’t already someone. Is that ok or is someone like that already taken?))
((soccer starr–I don’t think there’s a prop director, so make a profile telling us name, age, physical characteristics, character, and so forth. ))
((RoseQuartz–Angie got even madder when Minka walked into the theater, maybe because she was usurping Angie’s place as a choreographer. If Angie wants to hate Minka, that’s OK. Or, you could not like soccer starr’s character, if that’s OK with her.))
((I think she shall hate both of them. XD This should be fun…))
((Wow…ok, I’ll do a character profile now! This looks like a fabulous RPG, but I’m still in a state of confuzzlement and kind of unsure of the characters so I apologize if this seems out of sync with the rest of the plot. If there are any major problems, I’ll be glad to make the appropriate revisions, just give me a head’s up. I’m hoping I’ll get the hang of it soon, but for now this is all mostly my own creative juice, which is probably not very good…RQ, I don’t mind if you want to hate my character, that’s fine by me! Anyway, enough ranting here’s the profile:
Name: Leah Foster
Age: 15 (I have no idea what’s the norm, but they seem to be mostly high school age, so there.)
Physical characteristics: Short, with short silky black hair cut in a little bob. Always is seen with a pencil tucked in one ear and comfy sweats, sweatshirt, or whatever clothes she can easily move around in and sneakers. Usually has a tote swung over one shoulder with the script and other supplies.
Personality: Shy and quiet. Is in the play only because she needs a few more hours of community service. (Is this a school show?) Has never had a boyfriend in her life but has had various crushes. Likes artsy cute guys that are usually taken. I’m kind of picturing her like the girl (I don’t remember her name) who writes the songs in HSM. Never has control of the rowdy cast, usually just sits in the corner and reads.
Now can somebody please write me in? I’m not really sure how to get started. Once someone does I’ll take over! Thanks! Was this alright? I know it’s cliquey, but that’s the point…right?! Sorry, long post.))
((RoseQuartz, why does your character hate so many people? soccer starr, I’ll write you in.))
The twins were discussing their plans when a short, unfamiliar, black-haired girl walked into the theater. She spotted Minka and Shae and nervously walked over.
“Hi,” she said. “I’m Leah, and I’m the new props director. Do you know where I can find Mrs. Brennan?”
“Nice to meet you,” Minka said warmly. “Mrs. Brennan is probably backstage, but if you can’t find her, ask the set people.” Leah nodded and left.
“Hopefully she won’t hate you,” Shae said. Minka rolled her eyes.
((It looks like a lot of people have left so please come back on! Anyway, thanks vb for the start up…is this ok? Oh yeah, and I did a scan through of the thread and now am only in a state of semi confuzzlement! However, I don’t remember seeing a Mrs. Brennan anywhere…is she just a backstage helper of some sort? Anyway, because I don’t know who she is I’m planning on just saying I can’t find her and wandering into Angie by mistake…))
After Leah spoke to a pair of twins who were frighteningly similar, she took a deep breath and straightened her tote, which was slung over her shoulder as usual. The familiar feeling, although small, immediately comforted her, and she straightened up and headed backstage. Just as she was about to begin looking, she spun around just in time to bump into another girl who was rummaging through a large costume box.
“Um…excuse me!” Leah stammered nervously, clutching her tote anxiously. Nice move, she thought. It’s been less than five minutes and you’ve already bumped into someone!
“Oh…hi,” the girl said in a bored tone. Just as she was about to turn back to the box, Leah exclaimed,
“Uh…I’m new here, and I was, uh, wondering if you, you know, if you’re not busy or anything, could, uh, tell me where I could find Mrs. Brennan?” Leah bit her lip. The girl turned around again impatiently.
“Sure…she’s probably back here somewhere,” She said with a sigh. “Can’t you see I’m a little busy here? Who are you anyway? You’re not, you know, an actress right? You don’t exactly seem to have the nerve…”
Even though Leah recognized the stab, she decided to just ignore it.
“I’m the new prop director. I was told to find a Mrs. Brennan. That’s all I know. I don’t even know what West Side Story is about, but, well, that’s why I’m just, y’know…a prop director. Who are you?” Even though Leah could already tell that this girl didn’t want to make conversation, she didn’t know what else to do. It was better than wandering around in the dark for some unknown lady backstage.
“I’m Angie,” The girl said shortly. “And…” All of a sudden the girl’s face lit up as she realized the possibilities.
((Sorry if this is too much, I know it might be a little overboard so feel free to cut any of this if it’s not right RQ!))
A newbie, doesn’t seem to know what she’s doing here, and definitely unsure of herself! What am I doing Angie? Angie thought to herself. This was a golden opportunity! She could sooo use this one. But how?
((We are frighteningly similar. I made up Mrs. Brennan because we didn’t have a name for whichever adult was overseeing props, like the orchestra director and the lady in charge or set. She can just get you set up and then you can take it from there.))
((I think I shall be an Alyssa. Who is …somehow connected to the characters? She needs to be written in anyway, later. And I think the plan is that she’s supposed to like Jeremy as well. Though I have yet to work out the details of her appearance, personality etc, sorry! But I am really busy lately so I’ll try to catch up more on the weekend .))
((Psst…are we still doing this? Please?))
“Uh, yeah! Mrs. Brennan’s office is right over…. thataway,” Angie said with a secret, evil smile, pointing in the direction of the emergency exit. “Follow the exit signs. There should be a little room on the left after a while, with a 102 on the door. It might be a little dark, but don’t let that scare you. There’s a glowing exit sign on a door in there. Open that, and Mrs. Brennan’s office is number 113.”
“Okay, thanks!” Newbie Girl exclaimed, hurrying off in the direction of the signs. Angie laughed to herself. Now, who should she send to 102?….
((Nice, RQ!!))
“Okay, thanks!” Leah exclaimed, glad that for once someone actually was giving her real directions. Maybe Angie was just nervous in the beginning? Leah thought to herself. After their original encounter, she sure had brightened up about giving directions…
With a smile, Leah rushed over to the signs that Angie had gestured to the minute before. Now that she thought about it, being in the play didn’t seem like such a bad thing. Maybe there were even some cute guys on the set… Leah quickly forced herself to get back to reality. She was soo not ready for another crush. At all. She was sure that it would just end in a disappointing failure, like her other sweethearts-from-a-distance. Because the truth was, Leah just wasn’t brave enough to get up the courage to actually, y’know, say anything to a guy that might be anything more romantic than “pass the ketchup.” Asking a guy out, or even talking to one of “them” was enough to make her whole body shake and her head spin in circles.
Leah pushed any thought of a male out of her head as she opened the door. To her surprise, she didn’t see the woman she was expecting. Instead, she saw –
((Sorry, but I can’t think of someone! Maybe vb’s character, since en seems to be one of the few still on here? What do you think))
((Maybe James could be there… ))
((Good idea…except for the fact that I forget who James is…could someone tell me? Sorry!))
((I am James.))
((No, no. I mean describe his character. I don’t remember his personality.))
Angie pulled out her phone and texted James.
Hey, J. Could U go 2 rm 102 4 me? U kno, the old prop rm. I think I left sumthing in there. Thx!
Send.
She was lucky: he’d apparently been checking his phone at just that moment, since a few seconds later “Sure” was on her screen. She snuck to the outside door that was a shortcut to the room and stealthily followed him. He stepped in another outside door and opened the door to 102…. and…. oh, good, there was Newbie Girl. Angie watched as she opened the door in the dark and–yessss–walked straight into James. Angie just loved messing up people’s romance. It was so fun being evil.
“Oh! Sorry!” Newbie Girl stammered, backing away, and–yessss again–slamming straight into the emergency exit. Which just happened to be one of those emergency exits that set off a bunch of alarms. And sprinklers.
Unfortunately, Angie just happened to be under a sprinkler.
When she could see/breathe/speak again, she stumbled to a bathroom and groaned. Her mascara and eyeliner had run all over the place, her eyeshadow looked horrific, and on top of it all she was wearing a white shirt. A very tight one. With eyelet holes. And no tank underneath.
She decided to reconsider her stance on being evil.
James scratched his head. Now what prop was Angie looking for? Oh well. He walked toward the door while texting her back ––
Thunk.
He ran straight into a random girl. She tugged on her tote bag nervously, looked at her shoes, and said “Um, I gotta go.” James smiled to himself. ‘I do have that affect on women,’ he thought. Suddenly, the sprinklers turned on. He glanced up to see the girl had ran into the emergency exit door, setting them off. James just laughed.
“Thought you could get away, huh? I’m James, one of the actors. And you are…?”
((Ha ha ha! This is fun!))
When the sprinklers came on, everyone in the theater screamed and ran around, except for Shae and Minka. They ran backstage, where the alarms had started. They thought that someone set off the alarm as a prank and wanted to be in on it/find out who did it. They turned a corner just in time to see James semi-flirt with Leah, and Minka immediately thought of Maxine. (( )) They backed away slowly, and looked at each other. They had been wearing identical clothes, and now the were identically drenched.
((Should Minka tell?))
((Ha, good idea guys! I’ll be on later to write in, but I’m about to leave so no time right now…sorry.))
Can I join?
((Yeah of course! I would suggest scanning this thread first to get a feel for it all though, because it’s quite confusing. I just joined, and I’m still a little confused as it is…or, just read the summaries in post #182 and #191. If you’re still interested, start off by writing a profile like the one I did in post #200. Sorry, that’s a lot by also you should try to write in double parenthesis when you’re not doing the RPG. Like this.))
Edward was furious. Did people know how long it took him to make his hair look good? Apparently not.
Leah couldn’t believe her luck. First she ran into Angie and this guy who had called himself James AND managed to set off the sprinklers, all in the same rehearsal. Triple ugh. Her short, black hair was matted onto her head and her clothes were dripping with water.
“Thought you could get away, huh? I’m James, one of the actors. And you are…?” The strange boy she had ran into said, a sly grin spreading across his face.
“Umm…I’m Leah, the prop director.” She stammered nervously, trying to think of a tactful way to get out of the room. The problem: she was trapped. If she left, well, that would just look weird. Not to mention that she definitely DIDN’T want to go out and face whoever would be ready to fire her for setting off the sprinklers on her first day on the job. And if she stayed? Well, this guy wasn’t exactly making her feel any better.
((Psst…is James already in a relationship? If he isn’t, good he keep on flirting with Leah, and maybe they could get together in the future…*hint hint*))
“Leah…well, that’s cool.” James said, nodding approvingly. “Um…do you want to, y’know, change?” Leah blushed.
“I didn’t bring a spare set of clothes,” She said nervously.”I didn’t know that this was part of the game plan…setting off sprinklers! What was I thinking?” She laughed nervously, but when she looked up and saw that James was laughing for real, she smiled, a true one. Just about the first time today, Leah thought.
“There’s a whole costume room. This is a theater, y’know.” He said with a smile. Why don’t you come with me?” Leah just nodded slowly. Maybe this guy wasn’t so bad after all…
After the pair both got decked up in full clown gear from last year’s show, (Leah still couldn’t believe what she had done!) they walked out onto the stage, and Leah’s face was pink, and not only because she looked like a walking advertisement for a circus, but because she had actually talked to, had fun with a boy. Maybe this won’t be so bad…Leah thought. The truth? It wouldn’t be bad. It would be worse.
((How’s that?))
((fireandhemlock1996–We would love to have you! You could work in lighting, set, costuming, makeup, help soccer starr with props, or be a minor character. We also really need someone to play Tony, the leading male character.))
((soccer starr–As to being in a relationship, he went on a date with Maxine, and it seems like they really like each other.))
((Fishy–is Edward going to confront Claire or is Claire going to say something first?))
((@SS: oh that’s no prob. I’ve been following this rp for a while.
Name: Leslie
Age: (can she be someone’s little sister? If so, then 13/14. If not, then 15?)
Personality: Stubborn, a prankster, extremely hot-tempered, but can also be extremely good-natured.
Physical Charecteristics: Brown/black hair which is usually down and flying out around her face. A bit on the small side. Very flexible and athletic, and wears black yoga pants and a white tshirt most of the time. Could be a backup dancer if needed? Also likes to sing.
I was wondering if she could be Nathalie’s little sister or someone like that? Pretty please?))
((If Zinc doesn’t want her to be Nathalie’s little sister, she could be Angie’s?))
((Sure!))
((I don’t really care… just don’t make Nathalie go OOC. She keeps to herself, and doesn’t tell people her problems. She goes to the theater on the bus. Parents have work all day.))
((S’ok, Im going to be Angie’s sista. XD))
((215 – Is it pushing it if James gets stuck in the middle of Leah and Maxine then? It would make for more drama ha ha but if no that’s fine too…
Fireh – Yes! It’s great that you’re doing this, we needed some more active people on here. Do you want to start off and be in the theater where the sprinklers were set off or somewhere else?))
((Perfect!))
James laughed for what seemed like the 15th time in 15 minutes.
“I’m sorry Leah … *gasp* *laughs* … these costumes are HILARIOUS!”
“Hey Leah,” James began, “how about we grab a bite? We could talk about the show, and all the petty drama that goes on, too.”
((Speaking of sprinklers, maybe they could do something to Edward? ))
((Fireh– if you don’t mind, I could RP you in. Oh, do you want Angie to hate you or like you? I think she should like you, just for a change.))
((Ha ha, that would be a first for Angie…
As for James getting caught in the middle of Maxine and Leah, would that work? And wasn’t Maxine sbf who hasn’t been seen on here in awhile…I’m not sure what we should do about that. Ideas?))
((I want her to like me. After all, Les is her little sis right?))
((Er, Fireh? May I remind you of our many conversations about your little sister?… XD))
((*turns red* oh yeahh. XD it’s your choice.))
((Yeah, I’ll have Angie like her. Mostly because my Code Geass obsession is screaming at me, “Cornelia and Euphie! Cornelia and Euphie!”
I gotta make you watch that sometime.)))
((I think Edward already left the theater.))
((OK, this is my character:
Name: Alyssa Stoner
Age: 15-ish?
Appearance: Light brown hair, green/blue eyes (is there such thing?), average height (but on the tallish side)
Personality: outspoken (but usually right), intelligent but lazy. Persistent – doesn’t stop until she gets what she wants.
Role in story: I don’t know how she would be related to anyone (someone please write her in?) but I think the plan is for her to like Jeremy, just when things are awkward between him and Nathalie….
I would appreciate help! Thanks!))
((Okay, can we move the story? Is anyone in the theater(namely Angie and David)?))
((Um, I’m not sure. Angie is in the bathroom as of now, but I don’t know about David. All I know is that Leah and James are beginning to flirt with each other after putting on clown costumes because they were drenched by the Sprinkler Disaster…ha ha. Sorry, I’ll write more later. Bella, I probably wouldn’t be very good at writing you in but I can try later when I have more time. Sorry.))
Thanks. I don’t mind who writes me in, and I don’t really mind when (as long it’s not, like, two weeks from now). But thanks anyway!
((Minka, Shae, and Claire are all in the theater.))
((I’ll write Bella in.))
Nathalie came to the theater the next day, dressed in a gray turtleneck and black pants, her hair draped over her eyes. She did not want to be noticed today.
As she settled into a sitting position near the fire escape canvas, she heard laughing coming from outside the door. It’s none of my business, but I might as well see who it is… She walked over to the door, and peered out.
Oh, no. Oh god no. Not good.
Jeremy and a new girl were standing out there. Together. This girl was so pretty, much prettier than she was. She looked like the type of girl who was in Jeremy’s social class, unlike her, the ultimate nobody.
She was perfect for the perfect boy.
Nathalie slunk back inside. She didn’t want to look anymore.
((Howsabout Alyssa’s on the set crew?
Can Alyssa have no idea what went on between Jermey and Nath, and either try to become friends with Nathalie or accidentally ignore her?))
((OOH! OOH! OOH! OOH!
The perfect song for Natalie: “I’m Not That Girl”))
((Thanks Zinc!!!!!!!
The idea of accidentally ignoring or becoming friends with Nathalie sounds *evil*, because Nathalie might think Alyssa was, I don’t know…making fun of her or something by acting super-nice, or whatever. You can decide – I don’t really mind which one. I’m thinking ignoring her might be fun because Nathalie would maybe keep trying to confront her, or maybe try to talk to Jeremy while she’s also there and it would be awkward! But then becoming friends with Nathalie would make Alyssa seem like she was more perfect, maybe…like she was also really nice and friendly as well as all her other “perfect” features..which is more reason to hate her! (This is fun!)
It would have been fun to make Alyssa really mean and try to break up Jeremy and Nath on purpose…but it’s fine if she has no idea, I guess. Both ways would be fun!
Set crew? I don’t know….do we have too many people in orchestra already? Because I play the violin in real life, in the school orchestra (well, string orchestra actually, but that’s beside the point) But if she was on set crew would it make it easier to interact with Jeremy/Nath? If so, I’m fine with set crew.
Thanks for writing me in! And I’ll try to think of a situation to write some of my character…sometime soon.))
((Vanillabean- Sorry for not posting!!! Edward isn’t planning on approaching her… I think he should start to either go out with, or pretend to go out with Azorica. That is to let Claire realize that her plan was flawed. We need a new thread, don’t we? This one is long enough, and we could use a bit of a revival. *goes of to box of suggestions*))
((Sorry, guys. I’m having writer’s block! Ahhh! Can some people please post on here? We really need a new thread, I can help you ask Fishy!!))
Claire was starting to wonder why Edward wasn’t talking to her. (( )) Where was he? And why was Azzy going around with a smirk on her face?
((I’m replying to Post 217.1.1, ok?))
“Sure!” Leah replied happily. “Is this afternoon ok?” James nodded.
“I don’t have anything planned,” He said, sparkling an adorable smile. Leah wasn’t sure if this was a date or what, but she was still excited about it. James was exactly her type! He had already filled her in on everything theater, and it sounded like, although the cast was filled with some Drama Queens, there were some pretty cool people, too.
((I’m not really sure what should go on from now. Maybe if Angie could get a hold of the “date”, she could try to gate crash the get together. Or something like that. I think that it would really be ideal for Maxine to see James and Leah together, but sbf hasn’t been spotted in a long while so I’m pretty sure she won’t show up anytime soon…not sure what we should do about that. Anyhow, can anyone help me out here and write some more? Please? A new thread would really be the best thing though… *hint hint gapas*
((383rd comment!! w00t! That’s how many comments part one had when the GAPAs gave us a new thread! HINT HINT!))
((And, to keep this from being completely pointless…))
Minka and Shae were hiding in the wings, eavesdropping on Leah adn James’ conversation. They snuck away when they started talking about all the other people on the cast.
“What about Maxine?” Shae whispered.
“I don’t know! I kind of want to tell her in case James is two-timing her, but then again, I kind of don’t.”
“I know,” Shae said. They walked back to their seats, where Shae started digging around in her bag for something. “Um, Minka? Did you take the receipt out of my bag? It’s not here.”
“What?” Minka dropped to her knees to help her sister. They dumped the contents on the floor to look for the paper. “Do you think someone took it?”
“Who would do that? It probably fell out.”
“I hope no one found it. Let’s look around.” They spread out and started to search. Azzy saw them, and put her hand in her pocket. The paper they were looking for was safe in there.
((Mwahaha…))
James smiled at Leah. She seemed real cool, even though she’s a little shy. He furrowed his eyebrows.
“I still don’t get why Angie sent me in the prop room. What did she need? Anyway, I don’t regret it.”
Leah beamed.
((New thread PLEASE!!!!))
((New thread!!!!))
((YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!))
((I don’t know…what to do. Are we even in rehearsal right now? New thread would also be good. ))
((C’mon, please, almighty GAPAs?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?))
As you wish, my lady.
