I figured. I freaked out for a second there…. “Why is there no random thread? Aah!” Then I realized it was probably just unsticky.
Is there a technical term for sticky other than ‘sticky’?
Should we be worried about the safety of the Apollo crew? No, wait, the other thread showed Aldrin greeted by the Muses on the surface, so everything turned out okay.
No, they are attacking me. I’m on the somewhat hidden moonbase, near the pole, shaped like a crater. They are beginning to descend, and they are coming closer. They’ve found my base! WLlh[agaeguia[sd
THE BUNNIES ARE awesome. They are TAKING my computer to help ME become fully bunnified. I have realized I am just a PRISONER in a human. Join the bunnies, for it will HELP you. Bunnies don’t want not to be loved. They just want to be loved by you and ME. Yes, they may cause destruction, and are able to kill many QUICKLY. THEY won’t kill you. There ARE many things to be afraid of. Oh, yes, masters. I was just GOING TO ATTACK the incorrect ideas about bunnies on MUSEBLOG. As I said before, join the bunnies, for it will HELP you. Bunnies don’t want not to be loved. They just want to be loved by you and ME.
Okay, I suppose I will join the bunnies. Your logic sounds pretty good. WHERE EXACTLY can I go to join them? ARE there bunny hideouts on Earth too, or just where YOU are? I NEED TO KNOW SO I CAN join the leagues of the bunnies! (Bunnies rule!) If the only available place is on you moon, I guess I can ORGANIZE A flight there. Together we shall RESCUE humanity from itself! And from then on it’ll all be a big PARTY!
Yes, as YOU SAY, there are many incorrect ideas about THE BUNNIES on MB. Off With Their Heads! and Bunny Apocalypse in particular ARE the worst offenders. I think after this post I am GOING TO the BA thread to stop all their ATTACKs on the bunny world! MUSEBLOG shall not stay anti-bunny! WHEN the month is out, MB shall be completely pro-bunny!
I AM, with the bunnies ON MY MOON BASE AT THE NORTH POLE. The bunnies as I said before AREn’t going to ATTACK MUSEBLOG. We are planning a mass bunnification for anyone who wants to come, THURSDAY AT 6 O’CLOCK. Be there! SAVE the date for ME!
Enc– On THE MOON BASE? That’s cool. I’LL be coming soon, then I guess. I’ll GET KAIYVES to come with me. IF we’re not there on Thursday, it’s because it took us a while to get there. Kai should be helpful–SHE’S an expert ON space and stuff.
A mass bunnification ON THURSDAY? OH NO, I MAY NOT BE able to come! I’ll be ON the shuttle…. Or should I wait to go to your moon? Are the bunnies bringing you with them to the bunnification? I assume it’ll be on Earth, since Enceladus isn’t too highly populated…. I’LL see you then, I guess, when we will TRY TO RESCUE the humans from their evil non-bunny ways! See YOU! ANYWAY, hopefully you see.
Errata–Join the bunnies! Bunnies are good! They are cute, awe-inspiring, talented, lagomorphically excellent, and all around better than any of the other animals!
IT IS IMERATIVE THAT EVERYONE comes to the bunnification. There will be music, dancing, singing. IS it ok, do you think, to post one of the songs ON MUSEBLOG? Just to get some propaganda. AVOID THE falsness of Bunny Apocalypse. We will discuss how those misconceptions came to be. At the very end of the ceremony, everyone will be zapped with BUNNIFICATION RAYS, AS THEY want to be TURNed to bunnies. YOU will have fun, and remember, the bunnies aren’t EVIL. SAVE the date, for ME!
ALL RIGHT, I’LL WEAR A nice suit to the BUNNIFICATION party…. It’ll be hot pink, as PROOF of my love for the bunnies. Hot pink makes the best OUTFITs. AND I’LL GET EVERYONE ELSE TO wear hot pink TOO!
I’LL TRY MY BEST TO SAVE the date for YOU…. I MAY NEED HELP to do so. I’m terribly forgetful.
I’LL HELP YOU bunnify as many MuseBloggers as possible! WHAT else DO YOU NEED to tell ME and all the other poor misled people here? It won’t be easy TO convince them to DO as we say….
GET lots of pro-bunny supplies TO Museblog. On ENCELADUS, at MY MOONBASE, we have lots of ideas for pro-bunny things.
-Bunny rhymes!
NORTH, south, east, west! From POLE to pole bunnies are the best!
BUNNIFICATION=elation!
PROOF bunnies are good! +link to pro-bunny site+
If you don’t like bunnies, SUIT yourself! The bunnies are as harmless as an elf!
HooRAY! Go bunay!
-Bunny stories!
One day, a stupid person tried to shoot a HPB with a GUN. The person realized what they had done, reformed, and became a bunny-lover.
-Bunny facts!
Bunnies need SPACE. With their SHIPS, they can take earth, which is rightfully theirs!
RQ- ENCELADUS IS with the bunnies ON THE MOON (ENCELADUS, THAT IS). WE’RE thinking about TAKING A SHUTTLE UP there TO join him and be bunnified, so we can RESCUE ourselves from our destructive human habits. Enc will then come back with us to Earth, and we, HIM, and THE BUNNIES WILL HOLD A MASS BUNNIFICATION PARTY ON MB THIS THURSDAY AT SIX. WEAR AN HPB-colored outfit as PROOF of your love for the bunnies. I already have a SUIT picked out. TO AVOID MuseBloggers who will try to reverse our BUNNIFICATION, we should probably be pretend to be un-bunnified at the event.
Enceladus- WHAT? HooRAY for the bunnies, definitely, but….people shooting bunnies with GUNS? How horrible…. What kind of SPACESHIP do you think we Should take to your moon? WHAT about a hijacked space shuttle?
I think that being bunnified WILL HELP SAVE my social life. YOU guys know I need it. WHERE on MuseBlog CAN I FIND the bunnies at Thursday? I will bring A tRAY of snacks and refreshments. it hasn’t beGUN yet, has it? The Hare & the Hedgepig would be a good TARGET thread. I can bring WALl-e and we can have a bunnies only slumber party! MARTinis would be great, but we’re underage. As I wRITE this, I am thinking, are there any ways I can AID you?
I’LL HELP prepare for the party. A bunnification party is a good way to RESCUE humanity. Did YOU help organize it? I’M GOING TO BE there at the party. The party’s ON Thursday, at 6:30, right? MB will THEN become exceedingly better AND totally awesomer. WILL it be here, on this thread, or somewhere else. I’ll be sure to BRING all bunny-related stuff. Soon, MB will be all wonderful HPB and humanity PROOF. And of course I’ll wear my bunny SUIT. WILL ANYONE ELSE BE THERE???
YOU defintely will get help in your social life by getting bunnified, but the real question is, if everyone is, CAN it really help? Don’t forGET about Dr. Suess’s book “The Sneetches” everyone got stars on their bellies, then off, then on, and it didn’t make a difference. HooRAY for the bunnies, and no, the party hasn’t beGUN AT MUSEblog. BunnyMART will give you supplies. You can buy lots of insta-bunnifiers there, as THEY ARE SOLD FOR FIVE DOLLARS FOR FIFTY.
RIGHT, I WILL BE SURE TO BUY insta-bunnifiers. I’ll be there on Thursday. (HooRAY for all the bunnies!) (The party hasn’t beGUN, yet. It’s on ThurSday) Is their anything else needed for the party? I can buy ONE thing. I PACKed my bunny-related stuff away, but I’ll get it out again.
Moderation is so fast today! I am going to tell my friend C about MB, and I’m a bit worried she’ll die of fright when she sees the bunny apocalypse eclipse, not to mention me scaring off neopytes, the REAL BA thread, and the SSSSs.
Yesterday, during colorguard, it was FREEZING. My hands were numb and I was shivering like crazy. On top of all that, it was windy. So whenever I tried to march, the wind would get my flag and I would take a half-step back. >.< I lost my balance about a bazillion times because of the wind. That’s not normal in July!
In other news, I like your avatar, Jakob. Is that the Freecell guy?
In other other news, I’m going to a surprise birthday party today! Woo!
No, it’s made of sturdy foam rubber in the shape of a huge wedge of orange cheese. Very popular among football fans. I sent a lot of them as gifts when I lived in Wisconsin, because their light weight makes them cheap to mail.
If you turn one upside down and fill the head “cavity” with popcorn, you’ll have a floating snack bowl to use in a swimming pool. That’s almost as good.
I saw one at a shop and was thinking about buying it but it was a child-size one that didn’t fit. I have been going to Wisconsin every July as far back as I can remember and I don’t see the trend slowing down anywhere in the near future so I have plenty of time to get one.
I think a guy survived a plane crash once because he buried his face and hands in a cheese hat. Maybe I should think about getting one sooner.
*sigh* You gotta love Florida. It was a beautiful sunny day in my neighborhood, but I had to go to the store. It was pouring rain right outside my neighborhood.
Wait, I swear it was raining a minute ago… And it was sunny five minutes before that. Weather here defies all laws of nature. Or at least the ones I’m aware of.
Hello, everybody! After my 3 week long sabbatical, I have returned! LIfe has returned to normal, after my stay-away camp at CTY, in [Self-snip]. How’s life? Or, should I say, as I took a philosophy/logic class, How’s existence?
Oh, it was great. I had to take a course for the camp, and it was on Logic/ Philosophy, so expect some Nihilism/ transcendental thinking/ uber-logicalness from me.
It’s a camp where you learn about space and do various simulations and challenges leading up to a 6-hour mission in full-size mock-ups of the shuttle and space station.
Back for a little bit schools starts back on Monday. Winter break is not as relaxing as I would have thought…I helped out with makeup with Gangshow and then everyone seemed to get sick. Myself included but not swine flu…yet.
Umm, flash flood anyone? It was perfectly sunny and all a few seconds ago, and then suddenly there’s a pounding noise on the roof, and it’s raining like the dickens!
Heylo! (I love that “word”)
I’m in the adirondacks currently, so I won’t be able to post until tomorrow afternoon. Right now I can. Because we own a house across the street from a gas station with wi-fi. I might be able to post some more, but I don’t know right now. I’m writing on my iPod; maybe if I had a the laptop, I would post, but I don’t… See ya’ tomorrow!
I think I bruised a rib. Or something. Anyway, there are scratches and red marks all over my sternum, and I don’t remember getting any of them, and when I touch it the entire thing feels like that sharp stinging pain you get when touching a broken bone.
But the scary part is that I do not remember ever getting any injury…
Some ancient cultures (I think Asian) thought that the craters and shadows on the moon looked like a rabbit. They believed that the god(-ess) of the moon was a rabbit! *shudders*
What makes that even creepier is that I just
read Artemis Fowl: The Lost Colony and there are demons that are descended from lunar microorganisms. Some are awesome, but most are evil. *more shudders*
19.1- The sun has something to do with space weather!
I went to the Hartford Science Center yesterday and saw a sun video, IN 3D!!!!!!!!!!! It was all totally awesome!!!!!!!! We saw one floor of exhibits, and there was one about space!!!!! (Sorry for the exclamation point overkill) Needless to say, I am psyched!
36.1, 36.2- You are forgetting that not everyone on MB lives in the United States. Surprisingly, there’s an entire other hemisphere than the Northern. (Or I could be getting my various MBers horrifically confused again.)
I’ve had this choker I’ve worn since I was in… 4th grade, I think, and I’ve never taken it off, and it broke after all these years. My neck feels all weird without it even though I could never feel it when it was on (it could stretch, so I wasn’t actually choking as I grew).
Eheh. Mine may have something to do with the fact that it was cheap plastic? Didn’t itself come from a 25-cent gumball machine but it might as well have. The funny thing is it’s the one thing I’ve never managed to lose or misplace or break, like all my other stuff, aka the more expensive/prettier/ect stuff. Everything I grow attached to seems to vanish
Mine starts in about that amount of time too. Whoopee.
I liked band camp last year, but am not looking forward to it at all this year for various reasons (mostly involving wanting to stay away from the most annoying person on the face of the earth and my ex).
I am, however, looking forward to our show. It’s Fiddler on the Roof this year.
DID YOU GUYS KNOW THAT NERDANDPROUDOFIT IS THE SAME PERSON AS LOREENA CHATHENG?
Okay. You probably did.
BUT I DIDN’T!
I was looking at the birthday thread, and I thought “Hm… Loreena Chatheng seems to be older than I thought she was.” So I went to the Who’s Here page and pressed ctrl+f and whaddaya know? It’s NAPOI.
42- Yes, NAPOI is AthenianPsycho is Loreena Chatheng.
Good heavens this weekend did not go as planned. My mom dropped me off yesterday afternoon to mow my grandpa’s yard, as I have been doing for several years. Though he is eighty-six years old, he was in a little flower garden by the curb trimming weeds. After greeting him, I went into the garage to get the lawn mower, when I hear him start yelling, “Help me up! Help me up!” Long story short, some neighbors came over and helped me lift him out of the street, I had to call the paramedics, and now he’s lying in the hospital with the worst-shattered pelvis the doctor had ever seen. Apparently there are only two surgeons in the state that can hope to rebuild his hip socket, so he’s being transferred to a different hospital tomorrow. He’s been in traction all night last night, today, and for the rest of tonight; this basically means they drilled a hole through his femur right about the knee, stuck a metal pin through it, and, through a series of pulleys, have a ten-pound weight pulling the femur away from the pelvis to help ease the pain and prevent more complications. For now it’s just waiting and praying. He’ll almost definitely not be going back home, but hopefully he may be able to walk again.
But apart from all that, my weekend was pretty all right. Does anyone else eat plain white rice, no soy sauce or anything? I made some a little while ago. Delicioso.
He’s in surgery now. It started at 0800-ish, and apparently surgeries for this type of fracture usually take between three and six hours, but longer in more severe cases. Since my grandfather’s is the worst case the doctor had ever seen, I’m guessing it’ll be longer than six hours. Yet somehow he’s always in good spirits. Even when he was being wheeled into the wing of the hospital containing the OR, he was cracking jokes with the surgeon. Well, cracking joke. His repertoire’s a bit limited. When the surgery’s over and we find out more about how he’s doing, I’ll pass it along.
Unsure if anyone is actually reading this, I’ll post anyway. The surgery went fine. It was about five hours, but everything seems to be normal now. Blood pressure’s fine and everything. He has all sorts of pins and screws and chains in his pelvis now. The surgeon said that they wouldn’t, under any other circumstances, do this surgery on someone over the age of, say, 65, but they had no other choice. The biggest hurdle now is waiting the next few days to see if any infections arise. Then, of course, rehab will be tough. It’ll actually be the second stay in rehab he’s had in the past four months or so. But he made it through the surgery–he’s in the home stretch now.
I don’t think anyone would mistake him for a MuseBlogger (not that there’s anything wrong with being a bald, pointy-eared, chalk-white 400-year-old vampire with claw-like fingers as long as carrots).
Oh is that Nosferatu? Not that I have any clue who he is, but I assumed it was Voldemort, given the fact you replaced it so soon after the HBP movie came out, and wondered why it was in black and white.
Nosferatu is from a 1922 silent movie of the same name. The movie was originally going to be an on-screen adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, but the company couldn’t obtain the rights to the story, so the names were changed and the movie was released anyway. “Nosferatu” is actually the word they used for “vampire”; the name of the Nosferatu in the picture is Count Orlok instead of Count Dracula. The exact shot this picture came from is when Orlok is him looking up from the fair maiden from whom he had been drinking, about to be engulfed in sunlight and thus destroyed.
47.1.1- I just watched it yesterday. There’s nothing better than watching public domain movies on Youtube, in my opinion. It’s all the fun of watching a famous movie for free combined with all the fun of not doing so illegally.
47.2.1.1- I wouldn’t say they were less “glamorous”. They just lived simpler lives, closer to the soil. Both figuratively and literally.
Isn’t it? For years I dreamed of seeing it, in those dark days before YouTube, DVDs, or even easy home video. When I finally got hold of a library videotape, I was afraid the reality would be a disappointment to what I’d imagined all those years. It wasn’t.
I found something even better than watching public domain movies on Youtube. Downloading them off Google Video and watching them on your iPod. That is, if I’ll be able to read the title cards.
Cool! We just got back from Georgia, and we went to see an old cemetery that went back to the civil war, and we saw a bunch of foxes, they were all over the place!
[Snipped for spoiler material. Kiwimuncher, there is a thread devoted to the Half-Blood Prince movie. Please post comments about it there, with sufficient spoiler warning at the top. ~Rebecca]
Also, the town I mentioned in 50.1.1, is incredibly awesome. it’s been around since 1909 and the whole downtown area is ancient. My aunts house (which we visited) was over a hundred years old!!
Guess who is visiting the UsofA starting wednesday? It couldn’t be Kagcomix! Yes, that’s right. I will be visiting this country of yours. New York and Washington here I come. I’m really excited for Washington. I’ve been to New York several times, but Washington is new territory. It is, however, a road trip. I hate cars. I hate being in them. I get nautious easily, and generally wind up boiling with a headache. Blech. Ah well, I’ll survive.
Cool, I hope you like it here! If you don’t mind, where are you from? I understand if you don’t want to say, but I’ve only known a few non-Americans online.
(53) What fun! Rebecca will be here in D.C. later this month, so if the timing is right and your parents are in a good mood, you could conceivably meet two GAPAs in their non-virtual personas (protons and neutrons as well as electrons; here on the blog we’re all just electrons).
I am turning into a bug-eyed shock smiley. I must have looked like one when I was talking to Brambleclaw’s formerly homeschooled friend. And this thread has RABBITS IN THE MOON. And when I emailed all my friends (Welcome back to Term 3! May the chocolate bunnies be with you!) two of them got into a lengthy discussion about me giving out chocolate instead of hiding from the s.
i wonder where the escaped moonlight from the bunnyeclipse’s eyeslands……mysterious lack of moonlight all over the the western hemisphere…except for greenland and alaska!!!
Oh, me too. Kiwimuncher, how do you make yours? I have two methods:
A. 1. Get out the frying pan and butter it
2. Butter lightly one side of each piece of bread (I don’t know why either… It’s how my mum does it, though, so it must be right.)
3. Sandwich the cheese with the unbuttered sides
4. Throw it on the pan until it’s browned, then cut it in half with the spatula you’ve been using to flip it every now and then
B. 1. Toast two pieces of bread for a slightly shorter period of time than you normally would
2. Put some cheese in between them
3. Microwave that until the cheese melts
A is of course the preferred. B is just if I need it quickly or am feeling particularly lazy.
Wait, did I just spend over five minutes explaining to someone the myriad ways I know how to make grilled cheese?
1. Learn how to do a rain dance.
2. Learn how to do a grilled cheese dance
3. Figure out how to do a rain grilled cheese dance.
4. Do it.
5. Hope.
Or D: (Apologies to Monty Python)
1. Want grilled cheese
2. Decide to go on a quest for holy grilled cheese
2.5 Visit Switzerland!
3. Find out you don’t have a horse
4. Hire one of your servants to clack coconuts behind you
5. Gather adventurers to help you get holy grilled cheese
5.5 Accidentally kill a historian
6. Search far and wide for holy grilled cheese
6.5 Visit Switerland and see the moose!
7. Repeat 6. ad infinitum
8. Repeat 7. ad infinitum
9. Get on with it already!
9.5 Fire the people who wrote 2.5 and 6.5
9.75 Fire the person who wrote 9.5
9. 875 Fire the person who wrote 9.75
9.99…. repeat as necessary
10. Get to the cave of death
11. Blow up the evil bunny with the holy hand grenade by counting 1, 2, 3. Not 4, not 2, but 1, 2, 3. 3 is the number that shall be counted to, and numbers shall be counted thrice.
12. Go in.
13. Wait for the cartoonist to have a fatal heart attack so the monster dies.
14. Get to the bridge of death.
15. Answer the question! (African or European?)
16. Go across
17. Find the castle where the holy grilled cheese is
18. Find the annoying Frenchman there
19. Storm the castl-
20. Get arrested by police for killing hisorian
21. Get served grilled cheese in jail
1. Butter both sides of a piece of bread, one with slightly less then the other (this side is for the outside of the sandwich, can’t have our fingers getting greasy!) and slap on the frying pan.
2. Place 2 pieces of cheese on top
3. repeat step 1 with the second piece of bread and place on top
4. Flip several times and wait for sandwich to cook
5. Take up only when cheese is thoughly melted and there is a thin, black ring around he outside of the sandwich.
6. Enjoy profusely.
I tend to eat like a pig when I have grilled cheese, so I figure my fingers will get greasy anyway… I usually have chips with it, and sometimes soup, so my fingers do definitely get dirty, but my finger-licking skills are better than most.
So, to sum that whole shenanigan up, a. I agree with the concept, but b. I only butter the outside in any case so it really doesn’t matter for me, and c. I’m good at licking my fingers, though, so it’s all good anyway.
I have to write a movie review in Spanish (For July tenth, actually.). And take three French tests in four days. Oh, joy.
Grilled cheese, save me… Ahh, nevermind, too much effort. I’ll just go get that Italian ice I saved.
Did you know that can be an aspiration in Sims 2? If you misuse the Ren-Yu-Porta-Chug (i.e. use it below gold aspiration level), the Sim’s aspiration becomes Grilled Cheese, and all of their wants and fears directly relate to grilled cheese. It’s awesome.
Yes I did. I had a family of vampires who were going to get that. But then I had to delete the program. Did I mention that my computer hard drive is 37 GB total? Which leaves 15 for actual programs?
54- (Kokonilly) I assure you it wasn’t me. That’s pretty crazy. I met someone who looked exactly how I imagined Kiki once; and a character in a book reminded me strongly of Alice (so much so that I have forgotten her name and simply refer to her as Alice).
My, but international flights are long. I don’t understand how anyone could be a pilot or flight attendant for a living, regardless of how much they love travel or flying. They must have special powers that allow them to go that long without sleep.
Twenty-five hour travel day “yesterday”. We left our hotel in Tokyo at 11:30 am (7/21), took approximately nineteen thousand trains to the airport, got on a plane to Toronto at 5:00pm (7/21), and flew across the Pacific. When we got to Toronto, it was about 3:30 pm (7/21) Toronto time, so we got there before we left, kind of.
The seats had little movie screens in the backs of them, which was pretty cool. I dozed, watched a movie and a half, read a couple books of my sister’s, and chipped away at Silent Spring. (I have to read it for AP Environmental Science, which I’m taking next year. Surprisingly, it’s quite easy to get through, but it’s certainly not a book I’d ordinarily chose to read.) Sadly, I had to leave my Kindle in Japan with my dad, who will be there for another week giving papers at conferences and such and who consequently would be pretty bored without reading material. Ah well; I’ve read all the books I’ve bought on it so far save one, anyway.
We had a four-hour layover in Toronto, so I slept some more. Our second flight got in at 10:30 pm, still on July 21st.
As for Japan itself (because I’m sure no one really cares about what I did on a plane ride), it was great! We visited Tokyo, Matsumoto, Magome, Kanazawa, and Kyoto (and Hiroshima for a day). I don’t even know where to start, and actually considering I really should get a start on what I need to do today I think I’ll post about it later. I started writing this post at about 9:00, but I got distracted by A Very Potter Musical, which is my new favorite thing ever.
Oh my goodness. If you think Japan is bad, try from the Philippines. You have to connect through Japan. The last time we came back from there, my personal clock told me I had been traveling for thirty-six hours. >.<
M wants to be a flight attendant, because she’d get to travel, and… *would blush, could they* Umm, anyway.
Welcome back! We missed you!
Also. A Very Potter Musical… It is officially not only your new favourite thing ever; it is also the new best thing ever as well. Everyone must see it.
I once had to endure a ten-hour flight across the Atlantic. It was tolerable, but mostly because there were screens on the back of the seats on this one too!
I just had to dispose of a dead cat at my grandmother’s house. *shudder* It was really nasty. It had been caught by a fox. It’s eyes were eaten out and all it’s insides, so it’s ribs and pelvis were sticking out. It’s mouth was open in a scary snarl/scream that gave you the willies. NASTY! Plus, it was as stiff as a board.
My grandmother once found a dried-out dead cat in her back yard. She painted it black, nailed it to a plank, and used it to decorate her front porch on Halloween. I had unusual ancestors.
Hehehe, I kept giggling about this, so I put it as my away message on AIM, and my grandmother logged on and read it and at first thought I was talking about HER until she noticed the quotation marks.
Wow, and I thought my family had some strange stories!
On a totally different note, I have to go bowling with my church’s teen group in approximately an hour. *sighs*
I originally used it in a Halloween costume concept, so when I was looking for a random silly word, it was the first thing that popped into my head. It’s pronounced (sound of someone spitting)(electric shock).
Um… I’m not exactly sure. I think they were the forerunners of all other ‘points’, decorations to stick at the end of your name. There’s about five hundred of them in existence, and several people have a few. Some display them in their name, (Midnight Fiddler) and some don’t (most other people). Most newbies, at least the ones I’ve witnessed, go through an obsession with points at some point (pun not intended). I know I did, and Enceladus, and I don’t know who else. I invented Oddpoints in my desperation for points, and awarded myself fifteen of them. Then, I came out of the phase, whacked myself on the head, and discarded them. I still have the text file describing them though… Anyway, that’s an much longer than necessary answer to your question. It turns out I’m much surer than I thought.
Off to a weekend in Wisconsin. We’re going biking and stuff, and I hopefully will get to take lots of pictures but there’ll be no internets for Jade. See you all on Sunday/Monday.
I’m going to grow my hair out again. Not because I want it long, but because we’re doing Midsummer in the fall, and until I know what kind of spin they’re putting on it, I don’t want to possibly limit my chances of being cast because my hair’s too short. My hair grows rather fast, and at the moment it’s chin length although I got it cut a month ago–maybe less, I can’t remember. By auditions, it should be rather longer, and it’s easier to check “yes, I am willing to cut/dye my hair” than it is to say “well, I’ll grow my hair out as much as possible by the time we open.” I’ll talk to the director once we’ve started, and ask her permission to cut it back to the usual.
I’d really like to be Puck. Second choice would be Hermia, but Puck would be the coolest. -hopes fervently-
Goodnight to all. I bid thee farewell and, in turn, greet my evening companions: a spoon, half a cup of Luigi’s italian ice, and Rubyfruit Jungle – one of the best lesbian books I have yet read. I am thoroughly enjoying it.
I finished season four of Doctor Who. -melancholy sigh- There are the specials I can get from iTunes if I get terribly desperate (though there’s only one at the moment), but I must make it stretch out as long as possible because it’s going to be a VERY long time before season five comes out on DVD. Even then it won’t be David Tennant. I’ve nothing against Matt Smith, honest (the fact that he was in The Ruby in the Smoke does make me a little miffed, but then, so was Billie Piper), but I like the Tenth Doctor.
Isn’t it funny that half the time I come on the random thread anymore, it’s to talk about Doctor Who?
This is an ad for the Superheros and Mary Sues, and I’ll skip all about how it’s perfect for you. It’s more or less dead, so if those of you who once took part in it could come back, I’d be quite happy, along with CTN. Rainbow*Star, TMFA… That’s all I can remember right now, but I’m sure there’s more. We’re in Lorien, being attacked by Orcs, and nobody has anything to say? Some of us are on a distant planet. Admittedly, those groups are rather limited, and the rest of us are back at base, in a rare lull between attacks, but please, come back!
The Lughnasa festival is coming up! Tomorrow! I’m so excited! I finally called everyone I needed to call, now I just need to finish my dress. Mother says it would be easier to put ribbons on it that I could tie in back and thus deal with the excess fabric, but I think I’d rather put a zipper in and take in the sides a little more, because it’s so very simple and ribbons at the waist would sort of half-cover the ribbon that’s already there and make a muddle of it.
I have this horrible guilt welling up inside me, because of all the thank you notes I wrote for the artists who donated art to my auction, which was over two months ago. And I wrote a lot of thank you notes and sent off all the ones I had addresses for, but then there were all the ones I had to hand-deliver, which I put in my purse and forgot about, but sometimes I remember and then it’s awkward, and I should deliver them, but I keep making excuses to myself and I have to write a note to one guy but I don’t know how to spell his last name plus he works with my mom and if I gave it to him Mother would know that I hadn’t delivered the notes yet and she would be mad. -cowers-
I finished the dress, with ties, which work all right. It’s not ideal, but I have other things to worry about at the moment, such as jewelry and shoes. If only I could go without both…
I quite agree. Speaking of which, this post isn’t really necessary, but since it’s so much fun to clog the random thread with nothingness, I shall post it anyway.
Obviously I didn’t have a chance to post about Japan yesterday, and I’ll be gone until tomorrow night, so I’ll post then. We’re dropping my little sister off at camp in western NC today. I went to that camp, and it’s without a doubt the best place on Earth. I’m so jealous…
86.1- My apologies; it would be quite worrying to see someone speak of ens greatly injured grandfather, only to disappear without explanation several days later. He’s in a rehab center, on many medications, depressed, confined mostly to his bed, but alive. My nonexistence did not relate in any way to him.
86.2 et seq.- I have freakier options for avatars, but I don’t want to change it too frequently.
*choklit* I’ve never seen you depressed before. When I was a neophyte, I looked on everyone else as a god[dess] especially the seemingly older posters. I stopped after a while, but you still seemed like a happy, goofy Muser, liked by everybody, like I wanted to be. *drones on in monologue frequented with cheesy phrases* So, Seeing you sad seems strange to me, *more monologue* Well, it could be embarrassing if Rq and Armada see this, but I hope it makes you feel better to know that you have an admirer.
I know how you felt. When I came here, I pretty much admired everybody who was there. But I never thought people would actually respect me. I’m almost never respected at school, haha. I’m the second-youngest in the entire school, so I’ve never actually been admired. I’ve been liked – by most – but not actually looked up to.
This is pretty neat. And, woo, I got to use italics!
I was just noticing the RRRs that were started last month, and now I feel depressed… I really want to join the Keys, Boxes, Locks, and Doors one, but it does say private… I’m also depressed that all three of them and the planning thread were all launched while I was gone, which meant that there was no possible way for me to join, as I didn’t get on Museblog at all, except for once on the way there, which was probably before the threads were posted, and a few times on the way back, which was probably after they were all running, and it wasn’t for long anyway.
After some chocolate and milk, I’m feeling much less depressed. I realize that it is your privilege to say no, but those of you taking part in the Keys, Boxes, Locks, and Doors RRR, would you object to having me join? There’s probably a better thread for this, but I can’t feel good about posting on the thread itself, given the nice shiny warning at the top.
On a completely random side note, I just realized that I’m old enough for the Paleophyte threads. Wow. I’ve been officially a Paleophyte for five days without realizing it. *blinkblinkblink*
Thanks! I think I’ll post on the thread, wait a few days to make sure nobody else has an objection, and then go from there. I’m cautious by nature, you see. I’m always the one in my group of friends, (i.e, my friend and my sister) that tells the others when they’re being stupid. (“No, M & K, you cannot rappel down the side of the house after tying the rope to the washing machine!” <True instance.) Wait, where was I? Oh right. Anyway, I’ll go now.
That sounds rather amusing.
My dad to my sister, true instance: “N, you can’t bake cookies in a microwave.” We came home to find the house full of smoke.
I spent seven hours at the Lughnasa festival today and now I’m exhausted. It was great fun, and my costume was awesome (if I do say so myself) only my shoes were a little bit small and so my feet hurt even more than they might otherwise have hurt. Also, I got a lot of sun. My dress exposed skin that hasn’t seen the sky for years, and consequently I am rather warm. It doesn’t hurt; it’s kind of nice actually, but it does make me a bit sleepy.
But it was really great and there was awesome music and I danced a little (only not as much as I would have liked because most of the time my feet hurt too much) and had a grand time.
A friend photographed me holding up a “Muse- Mostly Harmless” banner in Space Academy’s mock-up of the International Space Station’s Destiny lab during our group’s fourth training mission. (I remember how the 10th anniversary issue of Muse chided us for not getting the brand to the ISS.)
As the station’s second-ever female commander (Following Peggy Whitson.), I did an experiment in making foam similar to the insulation on the Space Shuttle’s external tank (The big, orange thing in launch pictures.) and programed a robotic hand to pick up objects and hand them to another astronaut.
My friend isn’t sure how to download her pictures to her computer, but when she figures it out and sends them to me, I’ll send them to the GAPAS.
Hello dear MB! I have returned!
I went up to WV to visit my family. I haven’t seen everyone in a LONG time and they’ve all gotten so old! One of my cousins has shot up practically a yard! Another smaller one has turned into a screaming, hyper 3 year old! It was also sad though, because my great aunt has alzheimers and this will most likely be the last time I see her when she knows who I am.
I have something to talk about now! I went to the *self-snip* (it was this celebration-like fundraiser) yesterday, and ate lots of cookies, marshmallows, etc. I also got a henna tattoo thingy! And a blue cat painted on my face. (Not my entire face, though, just my cheek.) I’m feeling relatively happy today, but kind of nervous, because I’m going to a camp I’ve never been to before tomorrow.
I’m sorry… I’ve felt like that before. I’m sorry we’re not exactly ignoring you, but posting something like that makes it kind of un-ignorable. Are you and SudoRandom and Armada siblings or something?
No, but we Kokonvened, and stayed in contact. Same thing, really. I’m the annoying little brother, Armada is the bossy cow, (Aah! Kidding, Armada!) And RoseQuartz is the pushover. (Sort of.) Together, Armada pushes over Rq while I stand there babbling about How a danish duck sounds. We are one big happy family!
And SR, we talked about this, remember? If you tell us to stop being pushovers and we stop, then we are pushovers, because we did what you told us to. So it’s sort of a hopeless cause.
I am sick. That’s why I’m not at camp today. I don’t know why I have a stomach bug. I want to get better so I can go to camp.
(Wow, that sounds rather weird.)
It’s Monday, so the GAPAs are back at work (meaning work work, the jobs we do in order to pay our rent and buy our food so we can continue MuseBlogging). That tends to distract us from the blog sometimes.
*breathes hard* *pantpantpant* Whew, that was scary. I tried to refresh this page, and it came up with a weird ‘Internal Server Error!!!’ message, so I began freaking out, remembering April, and went to refresh a different window, (I have about twelve MB tabs open at this time) and that did the same thing, and I completely freaked out and went to find MA to see if there was anything there, and found it and there wasn’t anything, and then I came back and refreshed this again and it went just fine. I was quite alarmed there though. Whew.
Um, no offense, but compared to some of my other sites (which I LOVE and am not trying to put down) this site is a breeze. It can be six hours before something is posted. The GAPAs spoil us.
Ugh… I have an orthodontist appointment in a half hour. *frowns* That’s always the low point of my day. Most of the times, he doesn’t even do anything! Anyway, what color should I get the elastics?
Owww, I’m sunburnt and it HURTSSSSS. My back is the worst (darn low-cut dresses!), but my left shoulder is also pretty bad which is annoying because shoulders are so important. It’s funny though ’cause I got it at the Lughnasa festival when I was wearing a sash that said “Queen of Cakes” so only half my neck/chest is burned, with a diagonal line between the burn and normal skin.
Ooh, that must hurt. Reminds me of my brother, we went sailing the other day, and he didn’t put on sunscreen, because, after all, nobody told him to. Anyway, he had a very sharply defined line on his arm, below which he was red, and above which he was white, where his swim shirt had ended. It was spooky, actually.
105- I like Radio Lab, but I don’t think it’s all about science.
IT’S SO HOT. I am dying here…I can’t even go outside, I stay indoors where it’s relatively cool and feel bad because it’s such a glorious day and I’m not outside. I’m making tea and I’m going to put in the fridge (’cause I haven’t any ice cubes to make ice tea) and I want fresh fruit but we haven’t any and I can’t bear the thought of going downtown to get any, because then I’d have to come back, and I think I would die if I had to come back up the hill in this heat.
And everyone not in the Pacific Northwest is laughing at me right now.
Oof. My band teacher wants me to switch to oboe this year. I’m not going to, after four years on saxophone (and I started lessons this past year), but I picked up the school oboe today just to try because he wants me to, and I must admit I do like it. It’s tiring though. Oddly, my hands are more tired than my embouchure. This leads me to think that my embouchure is wrong, because it doesn’t hurt enough, and also that I’m holding the instrument weirdly, because my fingers feel stiff. Although it could just be that I’m used to holding a saxophone.
I can already play a decent portion of the fingering chart
Yes, in general, with wind instruments with reed and removable mouth pieces, embouchure hurts you lips because they are straining their muscles to vibrate at the right frequency to produce the correct note. On the French Horn, your lips will ache after 30 min of practice. That’s a guarantee.
What Enceladus said. On any wind instrument your mouth is going to hurt after a given amount of time (the more you practice, the longer you’ll be able to play). If your embouchure is off, though, then sometimes it hurts less. My embouchure on sax was completely screwed up for about three years, and it’s mostly better now (although I still tongue wrong). I can’t play for as long as I could before, though.
Started camp today! In one of the classes after we were finished, we went and creeped people out! I swam in the pool twice! But, my henna tattoo started to fade (due to water) with I don’t like. I also did archery! *hops up and down* I hit the target a bunch of times, but never popped a balloon. Oh well.
I saw the GAPAs
On the ‘Blog and in the mag.
Two of them in each.
((Gaak! *Parasails off to Haiku thread*))
I saw Paul in the Neptune’s Gardens article of Muse, in a reflection from the mirror maze, Robert on a Muse Mail page (I can’t remember which issue) Lady Bunniful from the Bunnifying hat thread, and Armada sent me links to Rosanne pics.
Actually, there’s some decent pictures of them if you search ‘dapa’. I think they all looked like I would have thought they would, if I had put any thought into that.
I’m drinking my own version of ice tea. We don’t have any ice, so I made tea, and put sugar in, and let it sit in the fridge all day. So cold tea might be a better word for it.
I’m making another dress! With a pattern this time, and we went to the fabric store so I could buy fabric and everything.
Hey! I’m just calling to say I’m in Arizona and I’ll be going through Coconino county. Or am I in it now? I don’t know where the counties are here.
There is a lot of Kokopelli stuff here.
SudoRandom: I love your name!
The wifi in this hotel room is really crazy because we’re as far away from the lobby as we can get. There’s about 9% connectivity most of the time, and it goes out if I take the laptop off my legs.
Arizona beats Ohio by a ton in terms of nighttime visibility of stars.
Thanks, КарÑн!
Grr… I can’t sleep.
I think I may be officially obsessed with MuseBlog. I live for chatting with Musers from the Kokon, I spend all day on MB… Tell me, what do normal MuseBloggers (yes, I sense the contradiction.) Spend their time on?
113- Lots of things. Reading, sewing, cleaning, reading some more, MuseBlogging, Facebooking, reading, eating, sleeping, biking, watching Doctor Who, listening to the radio or music, sewing, reading, taking walks and waiting for something out-of-the-ordinary to happen, developing long soul-searching monologues in my head, reading. But for months and months in 2007, I didn’t do anything but MuseBlog either. You’ll get over it eventually and turn into a disgruntled, discontented paleophyte, just like me!
I’m so wierd… I’ve been wondering about who vs. whom a lot lately (I don’t know why), and it was driving me crazy! So I searched it on Google, and it came up with a simple trick; if you could replace the who or whom with him, then the correct interrogative pronoun, was whom. And vice-versa. But of course being me, I had to know why. Most of the example involved whom in prepositional phrases, so I tried to see if that was the only time that you should use whom. Turns out, if you have to know when to use whom/who, you check to see if it is the subject, or the object of the sentence. I still thought that that meant that (3 “that’s!”) “whom” could only used in a prepositional phrase(because there is an “object” of a prepositional phrase)! But I was still wrong, when I saw a perfect example!
Who warned whom?
((You can see that Who is the subject, and whom, is the object, without there being a prepositional phrase!))
So now I am sitting at the library computer, contented with the new addition to my knowledge of the English language…
Because “he” is always used for a subject, and “him” for an object (whether of a verb or of a preposition), that he/him substitution trick you mentioned will work every time.
You’re not as big a nerd as I. I remember the different cases of “who” and “whom” by the fact that, in the first three Latin declensions, the singular accusative ends in “m”. I’m also a nerd in that, when I typed “who” up there, I instantly thought of it as the acronym for the World Health Organization instead of an English pronoun.
Does anyone else watch Criminal Minds? I watch it occasionally, and it’s on right now. This one had a recap, so it’s obviously two-parted. This one is about a terrorist organization, which makes it quite epic. The van just exploded and the girl’s(I don’t know their names) back is opened up… It’s so exciting right now! I’m literally shaking with excitement and suspense.
I’ve been watching far to much Buffy except that it is impossible to have to much. Oz is pretty much my dream guy at the moment <3 Do want one of him for myself. But I know what happens at the end and it makes me veryvery sad
I’m going away for a short vacation to New Hampshire. Off to the beach! I should be back on Tuesday. I don’t know if I will be able to find any wi-fi there, so I might not be able to post…
I gotta’ go. Mother calling! Just know that I won’t be able to follow my RPG’s…
I didn’t realize how nice some of my photos from Space Academy turned out until I finally put them on my computer and blew them up full-sized. Only a few interior shots needed brightening, although playing with contrast and color balance helped make the writing on signs more visible.
[I Snipped some words here because I thought they might be giving too much info about MuseBloggers’ locations. I’m too busy right now to check for sure — so to be on the safe side and get this moderated quickly… snip! — Rosanne]
Ocean. My aunt recently bought a house near the beach. It’s very nice here. Her husband died a few years ago, and now she has a new boyfriend. She is selling her old house (Which I really liked!) and moving here! I think he’s (her boyfriend) trying to “connect” with me, and he has already been able to talk sports with my younger brother. He tried to impress us earlier with a motorcycle and an antique car shop nearby. I’ve been reading basically the whole time… I’m going to enjoy watching him continue to try and relate to me. But he’s a nice guy, so that’s ok.
It is beautiful outside today! The sky is blue, there is are a few fluffy white clouds, and it is about 75 degrees.
Now, why can’t Ohio have weather like this more often?
I’m really excited, and apprehensive, and guilty, and a little sad. But mostly excited. Because tomorrow my dad picks me up and on Saturday we head north, and on Sunday I go sailing!
…And I just realized how many days are still between me and sailing. Darn it.
I’m going to deliver/mail the last of the thank you notes. The only ones I’m worried about are the ones to mother’s coworkers. I’ll probably have to admit that I haven’t delivered them yet, and just deal with the consequences.
HEllo again MB! My internet has unfortunately been down for 2 excruciating days due to circumstances I don’t care to mention. *grumbles irratibly* (yes, I know I misspelled that)
So, a recap on Jade’s life recently, because I haven’t been posting much:
– Went to Wisconsin last weekend with the family and stayed at my dad’s friend’s cabin. Stargazed where we could actually see the milky way and satellites and tons of stars; went for a long bike ride, during which my sister stopped suddenly in front of me and began wobbling, causing me to run into her and fall onto the road (oww); hiked to some waterfalls
– The last 4-5 weeks I have been in a photography class in Chicago twice a week, and today was the last day of class. Tomorrow is the showcase, where each of us put out pictures for our final projects up (we were supposed to hang up 5 each, but when we got to the gallery, they were a lot lower on space than they’d thought and so we could only pick 3 : / I was disappointed because the theme of my pictures worked a lot better with 5 of them)
– Tennis camp for my school was the last two weeks (4 days each week, but I missed 4 alternating days because of my class which was sad). It’s going to be realy weird on varsity with the seniors gone… there were 10 of us last year, and now 4 are left, and I don’t know about the ones coming up… *sigh* I’m also probably going to miss our manager, who graduated last year. He was pretty nice, although I’ve long since grown out of the crush I had on him freshman year. Yesterday was probably the last time I’ll have seen him, and I forgot to mention his haircut is starting to resemble Spock’s now, damn.
– Hockey is still endless and endless and tiring. Just back from dryland and a practice tonight.
– School resumes August 17. Notreadnotreadnoynotreadycrapcrapcrap. Sooo not ready to go back. I haven’t relaxed at all! And with 3 AP classes/tennis/two hockey teams/The Dreaded College Preparation I am going to have NO time during the year. I also have not finished my summer homework. Eeeek.
– I am now a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Oz is the bestest, with Spike a close second) and starting season 4, if I can get the episodes sent to me from various people I know or get my friend to lend me a DVD >.<
Not sure if there’s anything else… probably is, but I’ve forgotten it.
Grr. Can’t sleep again. Third or fourth night in a row.
Waa. I’m slightly sad about never being welcomed to MB. The new thread for Inu-Chan woke my feelings up again. Plus I’m tired. So….
There. At least he’s sadder than I am.
Never welcomed? Everyone must have been terribly distracted for such an oversight to occur. How sad!
Well I’ve got a plum pie topped with a golden-brown lattice-work crust — and it’s heading right at you. Welcome!
I watched Endeavour land on TV, then I had to work on an assignment I didn’t know was due on Monday, but tomorrow, I might get to go out to Long Island for some stargazing. (Don’t snip, Long Island is, as the name implies, really BIG)
Yes, lucky. I live in Nebraska, right in Tornado Alley, so I’m quite fond of severe storms. We haven’t had any good ones in a long time, so I’m envious of HAWK.
I heard thunder down here in North Carolina too. Is it The Day After Tomorrow or something? -checks weather-
I saw that movie (well, the first 3/4 of it) after my World History midterm, then went outside to wait for my bus and saw that the sky was cloudy and threatening rain. I was pretty freaked out.
Thanks everyone! Wow. I was on here before TFATF42? WOOOOW.
Teh. Kiga, You make me feel like an Oldby. Thanks.
So, anybody else not been welcomed? We need to get everyone.
Ok, I was here 4 days earlier than you, but I always thought that you were some person who’s been here forever!
QUESTION: We’re not supposed to talk about other websites here, right?
After being directed accidentally to the Transformers Wiki, I am both amused at how many Transformers turn into space shuttles and disturbed by how many of those are Decepticons.
Wow, these pictures are awesome! How do you do them?
Photoshop. All worship Lady Bunniful! *bows to Rebecca*
Oh. My. Goodness. A bunny eclipse.
Can we move this thread to the top of the blog, BTW? Thanx.
(First post?)
Sorry, when I first posted I forgot to click the little box to make it sticky.
Sticky?
It “sticks” to the top of the page.
Oh, I see. Thanks. I had a vision of you taping down the thread…
I figured. I freaked out for a second there…. “Why is there no random thread? Aah!” Then I realized it was probably just unsticky.
Is there a technical term for sticky other than ‘sticky’?
No, “sticky” is the official term for it.
Actually, “sticky” is the standard term, I believe.
That’s rather amusing, really…
I just keep thinking about the tape…
I’m not that high-tech, so I wouldn’t know. Maybe there IS some kind of virtual tape that can stick down threads.
Jinx!
I was going to say that, but then I figured you would say it, too, so we’d end up jinxing down the page….
You’ve done that before.
Ok, how do you un-jinx?
Bunny eclipse….. bunny apocalypse…. Why must everything to do with bunnies end in “-ipse”?
Should we be worried about the safety of the Apollo crew? No, wait, the other thread showed Aldrin greeted by the Muses on the surface, so everything turned out okay.
Luckily for us, this isn’t our moon.
Yes, now that I look at the details, I want to say Enceladus or Mimas.
Your first answer is correct.
Whee! It’s me! It’s me!
This means Saturn will probably get invaded by the bunnies soon
~My moon base
*gasp* ENCELADUS HAS BEEN BUNNIFIED!!!!!!
No, they are attacking me. I’m on the somewhat hidden moonbase, near the pole, shaped like a crater. They are beginning to descend, and they are coming closer. They’ve found my base! WLlh[agaeguia[sd
Obey the bunnies.
Uh-oh.
*sticks Armada and Enceladus with debunification darts*
BUNNIFICATION=elation!
I’LL bring some pies, but someone will have to HELP me carry them.
Oh, there we go. SFTDP.
You guys are fast tonight…
It’s nice, isn’t it?…
Yeah, who says this isn’t a chatroom? I know it isn’t most of the time, but…
Anyway, my older sister wants the computer and I’d better go. Bye!
Wow, it’s rare people sign off MB…a sign of its fastness, I suppose.
Anyway, bye!
*sets picture as avatar*
*looks outside*
The sky outside is yellow. I swear it’s yellow…
And it’s turning pink. I swear this is true.
Is the sun setting?
No, it was the whole sky. And are sunsets usually yellow?
Whoa… freaky.
It was. It looked like everything had gone sepia.
Uh oh.
Okay, don’t panic… wait it’s turning pink?
*panics*
Where?
Yikes. Turning PINK, you say?
Oh. My.
WAHHHHHHHHHH hugogigantic double thunderstorm! *panics* *sees towel* *stops*
You had a thunderstorm last night? So did I.
So did I! My brother and I were lying in bed and we counted 8-10 big lightning flashes in 60 seconds.
I had a thunderstorm at camp last friday. Hit less then 100 meters away.
AAAAAAHHHH! *Hides*
I love when the sky is yellow. When I was younger I called it “old newspaper sky”.
On this day, 40 years ago, Apollo 11 took off! Squee!
It’s a giant shadow bunny peering down upon earth
!
Moderation is so fast today! I am going to tell my friend C about MB, and I’m a bit worried she’ll die of fright when she sees the bunny
apocalypseeclipse, not to mention me scaring off neopytes, the REAL BA thread, and the SSSSs.Last fall, as the sun was setting, the overcast sky was orange, yellow, pink, and a bit of green.
Green?!
PINK?!?!?!?

You outdid me…
Yesterday, during colorguard, it was FREEZING.
Woo!
Ive always wanted to go to a surprise birthday party…..
Instead I’m going to Wisconsin.
Goodbye.
Whoa, I’m going to Wisconsin next week! Whereabouts will you be?
Make sure to get a cheese hat!
Cheese hat? As in a hat actually made of cheese?
No, it’s made of sturdy foam rubber in the shape of a huge wedge of orange cheese. Very popular among football fans. I sent a lot of them as gifts when I lived in Wisconsin, because their light weight makes them cheap to mail.
To bad, because if they were made of real cheese they’d be edible.
If you turn one upside down and fill the head “cavity” with popcorn, you’ll have a floating snack bowl to use in a swimming pool. That’s almost as good.
What about filling it with real cheese???
I don’t have a real cheesehead. mines like a slice of swiss.
Yay for proper capitalization! You’re learning, Marf.
Have fun in Wisconsin!
Have fun, MW! Wisconsin is nice at this time of year.
Really? It’s always sounded like a cool – figuratively and otherwise – place to go. Maybe I will someday. Anyway, have fun in Wisconsin!
Does the moon hove anything to do with space weather?
Nobody knows, my friend.
Holy…bunny.
Hello, everybody! After my 3 week long sabbatical, I have returned! LIfe has returned to normal, after my stay-away camp at CTY, in [Self-snip]. How’s life? Or, should I say, as I took a philosophy/logic class, How’s existence?
Hi, Enc! Welcome back to MB! How was camp?
Oh, it was great. I had to take a course for the camp, and it was on Logic/ Philosophy, so expect some Nihilism/ transcendental thinking/ uber-logicalness from me.
I’m going to be away at Space Camp starting tomorrow, so I’d like to wish everyone goodbye for now.
Have a great time, KaiYves! Enjoy the anniversary!
Bye KaiYves!
Good week to be going to space camp, what with Apollo 11 40th and all.
Bye, Kai, and have fun at Space Camp!
By the way, what exactly is Space Camp? It’s always sounded fun to me, but I never really got it….
It’s a camp where you learn about space and do various simulations and challenges leading up to a 6-hour mission in full-size mock-ups of the shuttle and space station.
Have a good time!
Hello, Enceladus. Welcome back! Bye for now, KaiYves. Have a great time.
Ok, now that I’ve returned, I shall make a claymation, and (hopefully) send it to the GAPAs. You shall be in suspense….
Enceladus: Don’t forget your chess game with Cromwell.
Back for a little bit
schools starts back on Monday. Winter break is not as relaxing as I would have thought…I helped out with makeup with Gangshow and then everyone seemed to get sick. Myself included but not swine flu…yet.
Your school starts again on Monday? I thought it started in September, or late August.
Notice the key words: “winter break.” I believe Sam lives in New Zealand, correct? Someone does, anyway. I could be confusing MBers.
Oh, I see.
Answer to question #23 found: NZ, at least, has the vacations that we have in their seasons..
I’d just like to point out in rage that Dumbledore cannot in fact apparate in Hogwarts, NO MATTER WHO HE IS. It just doesn’t work like that.
Also, the Felix Felicious scene immediately made up for that and anything else that was ever wrong with the movie.
-A
Umm, flash flood anyone? It was perfectly sunny and all a few seconds ago, and then suddenly there’s a pounding noise on the roof, and it’s raining like the dickens!
-A
-A
Some ancient cultures (I think Asian) thought that the craters and shadows on the moon looked like a rabbit. They believed that the god(-ess) of the moon was a rabbit! *shudders*
So did the Aztecs. *shudders even more violently*
Shuddering? Why?
-A
It’s the traditional reaction to the mention, or even the thought, of hot-pink bunnies.
Rabbits in the moon can’t be a good omen for anybody.
Oh. Oops. Well, I rather like them. Perhaps I’m not a traditionalist.
-A
What makes that even creepier is that I just
read Artemis Fowl: The Lost Colony and there are demons that are descended from lunar microorganisms. Some are awesome, but most are evil. *more shudders*
Snow today
soo cool!
32: they do look like a rabbit…don’t they? maybe it’s a southern hemisphere thing…or maybe I am posessed :O
SNOW? Oh. Got it. Lucky… I wish I had snow.
-A
Everyone has writer’s block!
HELLO MB! I’m back from vacation! How’re yall?!
We’re all flamablamablous, kiwimuncher. Did you have fun?
Yes I did!
It was fantastic!
School tomorrow. My holidays have been so boring I’m actually looking foward to it.
School?
Me is Australian!
Ohhh…
Ew. School?! ALREADY?! *scream*
Oh. My bad.
My necklace is gone. O.O
I’ve had this choker I’ve worn since I was in… 4th grade, I think, and I’ve never taken it off, and it broke after all these years. My neck feels all weird without it even though I could never feel it when it was on (it could stretch, so I wasn’t actually choking as I grew).
*rubs neck*
Oh, no… *hugs* I hate it when something like that happens.
Yikes! I’m remembering… M lost her necklace that I gave her for her birthday when she came back from GIA… Then found it, luckily. In her suitcase…
Anyway. I take mine off when I go to bed and for showering… Along with the bracelet. I hope they won’t break too soon!
-A
Everything I grow attached to seems to vanish
x_x It is a curse.
Yay! Band camp starts in two weeks!
Mine starts in two weeks too! Are we in the same school, is that just a big coincidence, or do all band camps start on the same day?
I don’t know. Actually, freshman orientation is in two weeks, and band camp starts the Monday after that.
Sorry, Armada. I took the afternoon off to watch “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.”
We probably overlapped in our movie-going truancy. Guess it’s just as well I didn’t make the earlier showing as originally planned.
Really? How was it? Or I guess I should ask you on the official thread… *goes to movie thread*
I just had an epiphany!
It’s NAPOI.
O.O I just realized that you got 42nd post AGAIN, Kokonilly. How do you manage it?
Delicioso.
Holy cakin’ wung buttons. That must have been freaky. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family, I hope everything turns out alright.
I’m really sorry, Piggy. I’ll be thinking of you and your family.
Oh my goodness gracious!
That’s scary. My sympathies. I hope he recovers.
Oh, and plain white rice is DELICIOUS.
Oh goodness. I hope he’ll be okay. My thoughts are with your family.
And okay, choklit too.
Have some sympathy white rice.
Piggy, how upsetting. It’s lucky for your grandpa you were there and could help. Sending thoughts of good luck to you and your family!
Off on vacation tomorrow, but I should still be able to post. Well, not tomorrow, as I’ll be traveling, but you get the idea. Au revoir!
Toodles for now, tgypwya.
GAPAs, does Nosferatu count as a recognizable human face?
I don’t think anyone would mistake him for a MuseBlogger (not that there’s anything wrong with being a bald, pointy-eared, chalk-white 400-year-old vampire with claw-like fingers as long as carrots).
True. Even Lady B. has no trouble distinguishing between the two. Of course, she did see the movie, which helps.
Vampires were less glamorous in those days.
Ah, yes, those glorious bygone days when men were men and vampires were vampires.
He’s a bit freaky.
German expressionist film is so visually exciting, hypnotic. Have you seen “The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari”?
I will have by the end of the day.
Strike that. I’ve seen it now. That’s really an amazing film.
I just got back from London via Newark…pretty tired.
There were foxes in my yard! My dad took pictures. (With my camera) I might send the pictures in, along with a few from Holland. But that’s a maybe.
Send them in! Send them in! I’d love to see them!
Cool! We just got back from Georgia, and we went to see an old cemetery that went back to the civil war, and we saw a bunch of foxes, they were all over the place!
There was one fox that walked up our front walk!
I’ll send the photos in. (In hope I get time and don’t forget.)
All the foxes on the San Juan islands are black because of a genetic mutation.
[Snipped for spoiler material. Kiwimuncher, there is a thread devoted to the Half-Blood Prince movie. Please post comments about it there, with sufficient spoiler warning at the top. ~Rebecca]
My bad.
Also, the town I mentioned in 50.1.1, is incredibly awesome. it’s been around since 1909 and the whole downtown area is ancient. My aunts house (which we visited) was over a hundred years old!!
1809, not 1909.
Kagcomix is Canadian.
Like a certain YXirt?
I actually preferred xirTalleB
Washington DC you mean? Yes, it’s really nice!
*turns around* *waves to the North at Kagcomix*
Hey, Kagy, I went to this day camp at the University of Minnesota today, and there was a girl who looked exactly like how I picture you.
It was eerie.
(53) What fun! Rebecca will be here in D.C. later this month, so if the timing is right and your parents are in a good mood, you could conceivably meet two GAPAs in their non-virtual personas (protons and neutrons as well as electrons; here on the blog we’re all just electrons).
42(Kokonilly)
43(Piggy) That’s awful! I hope he recovers.
53(Kagy) *is jealous*
I am turning into a bug-eyed shock smiley. I must have looked like one when I was talking to Brambleclaw’s formerly homeschooled friend. And this thread has RABBITS IN THE MOON.
And when I emailed all my friends (Welcome back to Term 3! May the chocolate bunnies be with you!) two of them got into a lengthy discussion about me giving out chocolate instead of hiding from the
s.

i wonder where the escaped moonlight from the bunnyeclipse’s eyeslands……mysterious lack of moonlight all over the the western hemisphere…except for greenland and alaska!!!
Actually, as stated earlier in the thread, the bunny eclipse is, in fact, on a moon of Saturn named Enceladus.
(Psst… capitalization…)
DD, are you new here?
Hello loverly MB!
Today is absolutely wonderful! I made myself a fantastically fantastic grilled cheese sandwhich for lunch! Aren’t you proud of me?
I love grilled cheese.
Oh good lords my life is going down the drain. XD
-A
Of course, there is always method C:
1. Learn how to do a rain dance.
2. Learn how to do a grilled cheese dance
3. Figure out how to do a rain grilled cheese dance.
4. Do it.
5. Hope.
Or D: (Apologies to Monty Python)
1. Want grilled cheese
2. Decide to go on a quest for holy grilled cheese
2.5 Visit Switzerland!
3. Find out you don’t have a horse
4. Hire one of your servants to clack coconuts behind you
5. Gather adventurers to help you get holy grilled cheese
5.5 Accidentally kill a historian
6. Search far and wide for holy grilled cheese
6.5 Visit Switerland and see the moose!
7. Repeat 6. ad infinitum
8. Repeat 7. ad infinitum
9. Get on with it already!
9.5 Fire the people who wrote 2.5 and 6.5
9.75 Fire the person who wrote 9.5
9. 875 Fire the person who wrote 9.75
9.99…. repeat as necessary
10. Get to the cave of death
11. Blow up the evil bunny with the holy hand grenade by counting 1, 2, 3. Not 4, not 2, but 1, 2, 3. 3 is the number that shall be counted to, and numbers shall be counted thrice.
12. Go in.
13. Wait for the cartoonist to have a fatal heart attack so the monster dies.
14. Get to the bridge of death.
15. Answer the question! (African or European?)
16. Go across
17. Find the castle where the holy grilled cheese is
18. Find the annoying Frenchman there
19. Storm the castl-
20. Get arrested by police for killing hisorian
21. Get served grilled cheese in jail
Tee Hee.
When I make my grilled cheese, I…
-A
2.5, 6.5,- Sweden, not Switzerland
You realize you just spoiled all of MPSHG for anyone who hasn’t seen it, right?
Cool! Honestly, grilled cheese is one of my favorite foods. I don’t know why.
My, my. It’s rather empty in here, isn’t it? *echoes…*
‘Tis indeed empty. Where is everyone?
I’m here! *waves hand*
Me too, lovies.
-A
I’m here!
54- (Kokonilly) I assure you it wasn’t me. That’s pretty crazy. I met someone who looked exactly how I imagined Kiki once; and a character in a book reminded me strongly of Alice (so much so that I have forgotten her name and simply refer to her as Alice).
I’m back!
Konnichiwa, Tesseract-san! Once you’ve recovered from what I can imagine must be dreadful jet lag, you have to tell us more about the trip.
-A
P.S. Totally awesome!
62.1 – I’ll post about the trip at some point today.
62.2 – Ouch. I sympathize. That has to be horrible.
63.3 – I find it totally awesome as well.
Unusual is an understatement.
It explains a lot, I’m afraid.
Definitely an understatement…
Wow! Yikes… creepy! Don’t take that personally Robert, but *shudders* Gee, that must have attracted trick-or-treaters.
She would have had better luck with a pumpkin, but I suppose it all depends on what kind of impression you’re trying to make.
Hehehe, I kept giggling about this, so I put it as my away message on AIM, and my grandmother logged on and read it and at first thought I was talking about HER until she noticed the quotation marks.
That was not my grandmother’s only eccentricity, as you may have guessed.
Yes, I think we all suspected the dead cat moment didn’t leap wholly formed from an otherwise humdrum background.
I’m not sure I want to hear about the others…
*gasp of horror*
Robert, I love you and your ancestors. That just made my day. Which is kind of weird but hehehehehe I cannot stop giggling.
Wow, and I thought my family had some strange stories!
On a totally different note, I have to go bowling with my church’s teen group in approximately an hour. *sighs*
Hey, bowling is fun. Wasn’t it?
It’s my mom’s birthday tomorrow, so I may not be here….
Umm, this has bothered me for a while, and I’m sorry if there is a better thread for this question, but what exactly are spdzk points?
POSOC, then known as Prarilius Canix, introduced spdzk points on November 20, 2007.
POSOC has done a lot for MuseBlog, but the Administrators aren’t sure that inventing points was one of his happier contributions.
I must abashedly agree with your assessment. *runs off to Alliteration thread*
Oh. So does spdzk stand for anything, POSOC?
I originally used it in a Halloween costume concept, so when I was looking for a random silly word, it was the first thing that popped into my head. It’s pronounced (sound of someone spitting)(electric shock).
You know, I was very close to getting all 100 and then the points would not have started.
Do you know where the REPLY button on the Happy Birthday thread went? Not that I need to reply or anything, just thought I should let you know.
We turned off replies on the birthday thread.
Off to a weekend in Wisconsin. We’re going biking and stuff, and I hopefully will get to take lots of pictures but there’ll be no internets for Jade. See you all on Sunday/Monday.
Happy afternoon everyone!
Today is a happy day! Unfortuantely, I have so much to do that I can’t stay long! *goes off to speed trough other threads*
-hopes fervently-
I got this Flamablamablous bright orange fishers hat today. I’ve been looking for a good hat for a while. I’m going to wear it everywhere!
And, I forgot what I was going to say.
Anyone wan’t to play chess with me?
Never mind. RoseQuartz is.
RoseQuartz is playing two chess games at once? Dang, that’s some serious mental skills…
Or maybe not, since our game is pretty much inactive now.
I’m playing three at once, actually. But neither of my Turbo Chess games is very active.
Is anyone here at the moment?
-A
That would be a no; nevermind.
Goodnight to all. I bid thee farewell and, in turn, greet my evening companions: a spoon, half a cup of Luigi’s italian ice, and Rubyfruit Jungle – one of the best lesbian books I have yet read. I am thoroughly enjoying it.
Well, ta.
-A
I finished season four of Doctor Who.
Doctor Who is funny! Terminate! Terminate!
Well, I’m posting earlierr today because we’re leaving for the weekend, so AuRevoir and all that and I’ll come back sometime Sunday evening.
It’s EXterminate, actually.
If the Terminator stops being the Terminator, does he become the Exterminator? EXTERMINATE!
I recently posted. No one else seems to have any news on the Orc attack….
And back at the base, we’re fighting this weird girl who wears a rain slicker.
Is anyone else here? I seem to be monopolizing the RCSB.
-cowers-
Have a great time!
What… is… the… Lughnasa festival?
Note that “Lughnasa” (or Lughnasadh) sounds a lot like “Lunacy.”
80- Ha, so it does!
I finished the dress, with ties, which work all right. It’s not ideal, but I have other things to worry about at the moment, such as jewelry and shoes. If only I could go without both…
O. M. G. Best. Talent show. EVER!
I love talent shows. I just always end up singing opera or musical theater, and end up getting made fun of….
I really have absolutely nothing to say, which is why I haven’t posting.
That’s the best reason I know for keeping silent.
Attention MuseBlog: I will not exist until further notice.
Thank you.
May your nonexistence be of brief duration. We hope it is not for unhappy reasons.
Your avatar freaks me out.
Me too.
Me, three.
You don’t exist? Well… happy nonexistence then! of course, if you don’t exist, you likely cannot read this….
Tomorrow, I shall be leaving for band camp at a college in Minnesota, the name of which shall remain anonymous. I will be back on Friday.
SFTDP – I looked at my ‘upcoming events’ thing on Facebook.
It’s my friend LM’s birthday today.
She died February 21.
I’m really sorry about that, Kokonilly.
She’s fifteen.
Oh, I’m sorry, Kokonilly!
Oh, that’s terrible!
*hugs* *choklit*
Thanks, guys… I was pretty much depressed for all of yesterday, and some of my friends were crying.
Wowsers! I’m respected? And liked by everybody?
I know how you felt. When I came here, I pretty much admired everybody who was there. But I never thought people would actually respect me. I’m almost never respected at school, haha. I’m the second-youngest in the entire school, so I’ve never actually been admired. I’ve been liked – by most – but not actually looked up to.
This is pretty neat. And, woo, I got to use italics!
Did I make you happier?
I’m sorry.
Aw, I’m sorry…
That’s really, really, really, really sad
.
*Gives cookies*
Hugs and choklit. I’m sorry D:
*Hugs*
You can join! I don’t mind if you join! We’ve barely gotten started!
I’m back!
Another smaller one has turned into a screaming, hyper 3 year old! It was also sad though, because my great aunt has alzheimers and this will most likely be the last time I see her when she knows who I am.
I went up to WV to visit my family. I haven’t seen everyone in a LONG time and they’ve all gotten so old! One of my cousins has shot up practically a yard!
*Virtual hugs*
I have something to talk about now! I went to the *self-snip* (it was this celebration-like fundraiser) yesterday, and ate lots of cookies, marshmallows, etc. I also got a henna tattoo thingy! And a blue cat painted on my face. (Not my entire face, though, just my cheek.) I’m feeling relatively happy today, but kind of nervous, because I’m going to a camp I’ve never been to before tomorrow.
*is rather depressed* *and is not telling why so don’t ask* *or ask SudoRandom or Armada because it’s their fault* *not exactly* *just ignore me*
I don’t know why, but hugs and choklit all the same. Feel better
*hugs and chocklit* Not asking, don’t worry! Hope it turns out okay!
*Hugs* I seem to be doing a lot of virtual hugging today.
Me? A pushover? No way! I’m the Sith lord, remember? And I can be VERY bossy. *cough.Armadaknowsthat.cough.*
So yeah, basically he’s the obnoxious little brother and Armada and I are the bossy older sisters.
But you can BOTH be pushovers. My job is to keep you two from being them!
That’s right.
And SR, we talked about this, remember? If you tell us to stop being pushovers and we stop, then we are pushovers, because we did what you told us to. So it’s sort of a hopeless cause.
Oh, RQ….still? I’m sorry. Wait….this is about that, right? I told you, I’m working on it. *choklit*
Working on it? Where?
Just kidding. I know you’re thinking of something. Or something.
Or something is right….I think maybe I shall wait for a bit. Explanations off-blog. (*hinthinthinthinthint!*)
Yay! I’m very happy now!
We went to Walmart and I got the Jordin Sparks and Daughtry CDs! I’ve been waiting for them for weeks! *does happy dance*
I LOVE the happy dance! *also does happy dance*
I am sick. That’s why I’m not at camp today. I don’t know why I have a stomach bug. I want to get better so I can go to camp.
(Wow, that sounds rather weird.)
Erm… It’s a bit slow today… I’ve been waiting for my comment to go through moderation for a LONG time.
It’s Monday, so the GAPAs are back at work (meaning work work, the jobs we do in order to pay our rent and buy our food so we can continue MuseBlogging). That tends to distract us from the blog sometimes.
It’s fine.
Whew.
I did the exact same thing.
I have now seen photos of all 4 GAPAs! (And none of them looked like I thought they would.)
Four? I know Rosanne, Rebecca, and Robert (hey! Your names all begin with R! like you didn’t know), but who’s the fourth?
Where are the photos? I want to see what they look like! (don’t take that the wrong way; I’m just curious)
Mr. Paul Baker!
OK, thanks. I guess he doesn’t post much, so that’s why I didn’t know him.
Gee! haven’t you read the HG2MB yet?
‘PB&J: Paul Baker, the jovial but elusive English GAPA’
Sheesh. Yeah, I’ve read the HG2MB, but I haven’t seen his posts around, so maybe I forgot about him?
SFTDP
I just went on HG2MB and I didn’t see that sentence.
I’ve heard of him, but am not sure if I have seen him posting.
@Jakob-Like your gravatar!
I’ve seen his posts twice or thrice, on the old Student Lounge thread.
Yum, steak for dinner!
Lucky… I WANT STEAK!!! *loves steak*
But I have recently taken a liking to fish… *is a cannibal if you consider me to be a fish*
A fish that can type…
Whee. *is bored* *goes off to edit BA*
Aloe vera, and lots of it.
So, I’ve already done some reading, completed 60% of my Social Studies work for this week, played Tetris and Bejewled… it’s a good day.
Good Afternoon, Fellow Musers!
Does any one know any good science podcasts?
Can I ask that here?
Oh, “The Naked Scientist” is a good podcast. It’s from England, and they’ve all got funny british accents.
SpaceVidcast is, as the name implies, a weekly vidcast rather than a podcast, although they occasionally also do podcasts.
Science Friday at NPR. It is my fav. science podcast. No, it’s my fav. podacst ever!
I’m not.
Ack, I know what you mean about the heat…
Wrong because it dosent hurt enough????? Is it supposed to hurt????
Oh well.
I have returned home from
CheeselandWisconsin! Now to catch up… Did anything epic happen?Giant cheeses invaded the east coast and were beamed up by giant space squid in their hot pink flying saucers! Oh, and then the Earth blew up.
Oh yes, that was quite strange. You also forgot how all our computers grew arms and pulled us into MuseBlog. It was quite nice to meet each other.
I read for a lot of my day. School, (or camp in the summers) and annoying brothers take up most of the rest of it.
I get to be just like you? Oh boy!
I’m such a nerd…
Because “he” is always used for a subject, and “him” for an object (whether of a verb or of a preposition), that he/him substitution trick you mentioned will work every time.
Yes, on the web-page that told me exactly why you use who/whom, it also explained the trick.
Your nonexistence has ended!
If that can be proven, I will believe it.
I got to re-watch some of the old Magic School Bus episodes today with a little girl I was baby-sitting. I’d forgotten how good they were.
Bye, SLATFATF42!
I didn’t realize how nice some of my photos from Space Academy turned out until I finally put them on my computer and blew them up full-sized. Only a few interior shots needed brightening, although playing with contrast and color balance helped make the writing on signs more visible.
Have fun! And watch out for lime ticks, New Hampshire is second in the country for lime disease.
OOPS! My aunt has Wi-Fi here, so I’ll be able to post occasionally.
Sorry for the false alarm! *gives fish back*
Are you going to a lake or the ocean?
Wow, i feel awful.
I’m ill, I was at the doctor yesterday. I might have H1N1 (swine flu). I’m almost done with it, but still.
Oh dear. Feel better soon!
Oh wow, I’m really sorry! Feel better soon!
GAPAs, did you get the photo I sent you from Japan?
HEllo again MB! My internet has unfortunately been down for 2 excruciating days due to circumstances I don’t care to mention. *grumbles irratibly* (yes, I know I misspelled that)
Endeavour lands tomorrow!

Never being welcomed? But it seems to me you’ve been here forever!
Well, welcome!
*is puzzled as to when you came* *looks at Who’s Here page* Ah, you came at the same time I did. Belated Welcome! Sorry!
I came (here) around the same time as you, so I didn’t even know about welcoming people. In fact, I think I may have came after you, so…
[/excuse]
WELCOME!!!
What? Never been welcomed? How….weird!
*welcomes

obnoxious little brotherSudoRandom to MB*I thought you said he and Armada weren’t siblings… oh, never mind.
I mean, I thought you said he and you and Armada weren’t siblings… oh, never mind.
Hehe. We aren’t. We just call ourselves siblings sometimes.
Oh.
You’ve only been here since… February? Really? I thought you came within a month of when I did. Hm. Anyway, belated welcome.
Welcome!!!!!!!!
(Even though I was not on here when you came.)
Welcome!
*grumble* Lucky. Rub it in, why don’t you.
Um, lucky???
Yes, lucky. I live in Nebraska, right in Tornado Alley, so I’m quite fond of severe storms. We haven’t had any good ones in a long time, so I’m envious of HAWK.
Whoa-there’s-one-near-here-too!!!!!!!!!!! It came in as we left camp. I have NEVER seen clouds so dark!!!!!!!!
Funny, a thunderstorm just passed through…
Up in New Hampshire too…
Heavy rain for me too.
It canceled the circus. Boo. This is the same thing that happened last year. Oh well, 3 chances left.
No, we’re not. Not in great detail, anyway.
I thought the same about you.
*suddenly feels very old*
After being directed accidentally to the Transformers Wiki, I am both amused at how many Transformers turn into space shuttles and disturbed by how many of those are Decepticons.
If anyone feels like playing Find the Pattern: 6692. Bonus points for finding why this code was used for July.
Well, the first test came back negative, so YAY! I might not have swine flu!
In other news, I have no other news. I think.
Hooray! You’re…still sick nonetheless. But still, hooray!
Yay!
