I have never experienced problems with Museblog. yet.
*knocks on wood*
When sombody says Host Company, It makse me think of parisites. Yes, yes, Sorry for the randomness. But it is true!
First Post!
*does firs post dance*
So that’s why I couldn’t load this up all yesterday…
Whew…I thought all the other MBers had just simultaniously keeled over + died or something!
I hate you WordPress. So very, very much.
WordPress is innocent, Axa (4). The trouble isn’t with the blogging software (that’s what WordPress is) but with the Web hosting company.
It IS very frustrating not being able to get onto MuseBlog. Grrrrr.
I only was able to load it up in the morning yesterday…*cries* I hope it works properly today…
2-ditto
i cried when it wouldnt load
5-WordPress is guilty. Or at least it’s being framed on my computer.
No, WordPress is just a program. This is a hardware problem at our Web host company. (It’s Larry Gonick’s company, too, but it’s worse for him because he relies on it for e-mail.)
Now and in the future, you can find out more at http://www.status.dreamhost.com/ .
oh yeah!! I couldnt get on for like 3 days!! i though something was wrong with my AirPort!
9- Then why, when Museblog didn’t load, did I get a WP error message saying to install something?
Because the program really was installed, but on a computer that was either turned off or disconnected. When the blog software looked for it and didn’t find it, it sent out a “please install” message.
AAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!! IT’S BACK!!!!! *hugs* I haven’t been able to get on for like 2 days! Actually i just sent you an email GAPA. Oh well, you can still read it and weep at my utter amazingness even if it’s missing the point now. Yay MB!!!!!!
Whatever. Bloody WordPress for the sake of tradition. See post on the Spont for details on the WordPress Song.
I couldn’t get on for days…how traumatizing. I couldn’t even get the install page; all it did for me was load endlessly and slow everything down. Roomie’s virusy compy, running-y IE-y. *spits on floor* I keep trying to get her to install Firefox.
THIS IS AMAZING! I MISSED MB SO MUCH! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!
Ack, so that must’ve been what was wrong last night. I thought it was my computer…but it probably was since it’s kicked me off of Museblog several times before. Hopefully it won’t again!
Annnnddddd that would explain why I couldn’t get on the blog!
(5) Actually, I hate WordPress for the limited amount of HTML that can be used…but I admit I didn’t know that the problem wasn’t with WordPress. xD hahaha I’m so dense.
17) Same here!
Yes.. I couldn’t get on for 3 whole days!!! I was stuck on Gaia, and it made me feel guilty. I have tendonitis from the mouse on my comp, so maybe it was a good thing… NO NEVER!! bloody wordpress
dammit i couldn’t get on either!!!
16 and 17: True! I thought it was my computer, since Internet itself wasn’t working… but who knows?
for some reason, the OMG-I-NEED-HELP-WITH-MY-HW-LIEK-WOW thread isn’t loading properly- it starts to come halfway up, and then stops; if I try to make a new tab, it doesn’t show up. Etc. It’s sort of like it’s freezing Firefox only I can still type, quit, etc. none of the other pages are doing this, though..
I don’t have that problem using Safari on my iMac. Has anyone else noticed anything like it?
(“LIEK-WOW”?!)
LIEK-WOW! A-HW-THREAD! LIEK-TOTALLY-RIGHTEOUS!
24- thank you, the people associated with my favorite magazine use my favorite computer, too. YAY MAC USERS!!!!
Elizabeth,
I use a Mac at home but a Dell PC at work. At the Muse offices in Chicago, Macs and PCs coexist peacefully side by side.
That reminds me: I still haven’t posted the pictures I took there…
You should post those pics asap! Were all dying to know what the muse office actually looks like. Though I’m worried ittle be a let down and look like a normal office.(most of us have pictures in our minds of letters piled to the ceiling, pie tins immbedded into the walls, etc.)
