When you say “July 31”, what do people say? “Hey, isn’t that Harry Potter’s birthday?” But we forget a very important fact about everybody’s favorite alternative prophecy object: he was born on the same day as Harry! Neville, alas, although you were not selected by Mistress Rowling for such cheerful wonders and blessings as getting together with Luna Lovegood (curse you, Rolf) or getting a really nice revenge, you get so much love from Cat’s Eye that you will fall over from its extremeness! So happy birthday, Neville Longbottom, and may you have many more!
Fun facts: Neville is now 31 years old, as is Harry. The Great Battle occurred 13 years ago. Luna Lovegood (not to be confused with our own Luna, the Lovely) is now 30 years old. In four more years, The Epilogue will occur. (If the world doesn’t end in 2012.) Al is currently seven years old.
