What the……………..
Dang, girl! Nice work! Looks like March is a very popular month…hahaha.
so does this demonstrate the amount of first posts? in what months? just this year?
does the march spike correspond with Monty’s letter?
i imagine there will be a similar spike this january.
YOU MAY JUST HAVE TOO MUCH TIME ON YOUR HANDS.
i was just looking at the whos here page… did you copy down ALL those dates?
Wonderfull! Goodjob. I applaud thee. Yes, I would say the spike in the March first posts came from a) Monty’s letter and b) the mention of the fanpage on the Contest winners page of that same issue (that’s how I found this place).
was that on that contest page? *goes to check in gigantic stack of muse mags* AAAHH!!! WHERE IS MY GIGANTIC STACK OF MUSE MAGS?!?!?!?
That big dip there might be MontgomeryGurl’s children. Eventualy, the kids rebelled and drove her out of the house. Die, maternal unit!
Anyway, I’m a proud Gaboomba-person.
The fanpage was on the contest page that had all the cool websites. I linked from there to the Museblog.
I knew about museblog, but never actually ventured out to try it! But i like it here, and if you will keep me, i will stay.
Nice. I’m a May blogger, May 7. My first post was on the Muse’s 10th anniversary thread.
I’m a November blogger. I came here on November 3rd of last month.
Ok, I’m ashamed to have to ask, but…what’s Gaboomba?
*cringes at onslaught of pies*
I’m one of three July people, I think. 7/28/2006, right? A minority!
It’s very cool, but one thing- is every year counted for one month? Like, for November, does that include both last November and this November?
14- I think so.
13- https://musefanpage.com/NewFiles/messages.html
i came february 16, but then i was gone from june til november, because of that big spike.
When making these graphs, I first copied down everyone (yes, everyone) on the Who’s Here page and the dates of their first post. Then I categorized them by the month they first posted, and graphed them by the results. This list is compiled of everyone on the Who’s Here list, so it isn’t just this year’s dates.
What’s up with March?
Nice graphs though. I’m Gaboomba stock. Ancient since the 90s. I remember those days. Lettered posts, sticking to the point, and no first post mania. The PoPo people would have been out of a job.
I’m all right. Yes, I’m sure I am.
thanks a lot! we really appreciate it.
(17) The pre-MuseBlog way Musers communicated. It was much slow paced. I remember reading it a few times, but I was too timid/not allowed to post. -sigh-
This is so cool though! It’s a lot of work! o_o I’m an August person myself. Yay Gen. 1~~ -shiny badge flaunting-
16-Ooooohhhhhh…..thanks.
Gen 1, October ’05. After FINALS OF DOOM, I should compile a new, updated Generation Guide, like the one MG did but bigger.
Sweet!!! I’m a september person. September 1st to be exact.
im purple!
what about the people who came before january, but werent on gaboomba?
Gaboomba! I’ve been here since 2003! (yes, the gaboomba has been around for that long, I checked my old email outbox as you used to send messages by email)
By the way MG’s children are also my children as they also saw the musecontest result of the muse fan page in the same issue as MG’s letter.
And I’d like to see an updated MG-style generations thing.
Thanks for making these graphs! that must have taken a lot of time!
Oh yeah! One of 5 from february! Sort of… I remember going here a long, long time ago(oops, now I have “American Pie” stuck in my haed) and posting somewhere vaugely gaboomba-like. But it doesn’t look the same, and now I’m not sure… was there anything else besides GaBoomBa?
Oh! Axa! I havn’t seen you for a while.
Who made these? I’m a March person. I came because of MG’s letter.
very interisting
did i spell that right
29 – Ze froodiful Purple Panda.
I’m an April comer. PPanda kept on coming here in March, and then I asked her about it, and she told me, and so I came. I’m pretty sure she came because of MG’s letter as well.
Gaboomba. But I switched computers between then and now so I don’t actually know when I first posted. 2003/2004?
Jadestone was a January 06 person, because she came before me, and i started February 16. It’s been a long time, hasn’t it? Soon will come my MuseBlog one-year anniversary!
Oh yeah… I was in January, not feb. But ony for a few days, I think. Lesse…. I think the thread I first posted on was the Jan. random thread… “Out with the old, in with the new.” Wow, I’ve been here for almost a year… scarry….
14- yes. I came the day after you.
do the months refer to muonths in general or to a specific year?
months in general. most people came in 2006, but people were on from September onward in 05. however, then she would have had to make two graphs instead of one, one for 05 and one for 06.
for the bday issue… I was born in 91, yeah. And, no, my fave colour is not octavarium. I don’t have a favourite color. So just make sure you listen to a good band on the first. Maybe Napalm Death.
And wear my color, then, while listening to some of Fridgie’s music. Cerulean(blue). Or green, which is second.
Hmm… so many from the november one… that was with the museblog bit in the back, right? Man, I want my January Muse really bad now… I’m curious… One or two of my friends are getting muse starting this year, It’s a good year for them to start, with the aniversary and all.
I just came here, but somebody worked raelly hard on those graphs. I would be waaaaaaaaaay too lazy to do work on the computer like that. I’d probably press the wrong button on the keyboard and make the computer explode or something. Hmm…..I wonder how long I’d get grounded for that.
AAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIYYYYYYYYYAAAAAHHHH.
um.
Way cool.
but.
a
teeensy bit
obsessive?
in, of course
the
nicest way
possible.
I’m not on the who’s here page so I’m not on the graphs
But very cool, it would be great to see a graph of the years that people joined in.
26-None of those. The blog started Aug. 1st. The graph isn’t actually in order, but that’s ok. It shows the interesting spikes and suchlike.
Gen. 2 i believe. September. w00ty w00t! Or was that even Gen. 1? Double w00ty w00t if it is!
Hey GAPAs? How about adding Poch (not PrCa, formerly called PC) to the Who’s Here list?
PPanda, I hate to say it…. you might want to start a new one next year. I’ll do it if you don’t want me to. Hehe. Maybe.
after the feb issue, that was. the question is, which august, september november, december months do those show?
i’m confused. hasn’t MB existed since august 2005 or something?
43-gen 1. gaboomba is gen 0.
Wow, Have not posted for a while since the end of NaNoWrimo probably. I was apart of the may. Gosh I don’t remember how I found museblog. But I am happy I am here ^_^
March is busting in all over!
Wait. Something’s wrong there.
I found Museblog when I was trying to find the Muse contest. You know, the one with the subconious (spelling?) test thing? Well, whatever it was.
HEY! I’m back. I posted a few times on the last hot topics thread and then vanished. I was also never pied. Oh well. SM2K finds me very annoying. Hee hee. I’m a Novemberan MBer.
51- You don’t even read Muse. You called us nerds just like Tiffany and Laney did. You only posted about 5 times. I don’t think that qualifies you for MBership. If you must stay, then stay. I don’t care, as long as no one else cares.
52- Seriously? When was this?
53- At school last year. She told me to enjoy living in Nerd-Dom forever. And I told her “At least I’m not the one making a 30 in every class.” And that was the last time I have actually seen her.
Yes. I said that. And yes, I am using your email (both your school email and home) adress. But I apolagize.
Who said we were fighting, or that I was mad?
I am confused. Really confused.
I was a March MBer. Introduced to MB by MG’s letter.
35- Really? I didn’t know that. *goes to What’s Here, then to Welcome, Newcomers for July ’06* Oh. That’s cool, I guess.
I feel like being nitpicky and noting that my first post here was actually as the A of A&K, but I realize that after I got home I went on the computer and on MuseBlog as curious and questioning that same day, so it doesn’t help me look more veteran-y, really.
I noticed MB in the contest and thought, Oh, that’s nice, then promptly ignored it/didn’t care enough to actually take the magazine to the computer, open Internet Explorer, and type in the address.
I wonder why all of the Muse Bloggers like March? I arrived in late August.
MontgomeryGurl wrote a letter that told everyone to go to MuseBlog…I think that’s why. At least that’s why I came.
I didn’t read it. I just liked the idea, and my notion has made me happy!(not surprisingly!)
Yah, i think Monty’s letter brought the biggest flow of newbies.
Hey, a clone! You must give us the secret of cloning. It’ll be useful for Mostly Harmless.
yup. and the fan page was featured in the contest results.
62 – She wasn’t there! She wasn’t alive until the cloning had already taken place. But we should definitely ask for the company that cloned SM2K. You’re right, it would be fantastic for MH.
62/64-Um, well….. I don’t now the secret. We went to school together last year, and oddly, we have the same birthday…..and face. But that doesn’t mean we’re related. At least I hope not….
Anyways,she’s smarter than I am.
YAY for clones! And pie!
Coincidentally, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has just determined that clones are safe to eat.
mmmmmmm. i think I’ll go enjoy a clone of an adorable animal. a cute one. that has feelings. and hopes and dreams. i hate meat. who would want to eat something that has a face and a personality? gggrrrrrrrr. OK, that was random. kind of.
Pwt pwns
Kokopelli should figure out how to clone pies. Now that would be interesting. We should tell Larry Gonick.
65- You hope not? Okay.
66- Um, EWW!!! Are you going to eat my clone? That might be a form of canibalism.
Ooh! Dead thread.
