  1. Piggy’s sixth move makes no sense to me. It should become apparent soon enough.

I must not play chess enough…

              1. I think you misunderstood. On your move, the piece was protected by the pawn, but on piggy’s sixth move(aside from perhaps trapping you inside a cage of his pieces) you could have waltzed in and taken his rook with your bishop. Nothing was covering it.

Do you see my confusion with his play?

    1. I must admit I don’t see how a checkmate could have been more possible had I moved the queen the opposite direction. :?:

  2. The 50-move rule says a player may claim a draw if 50 moves have passed without a capture or a pawn move.

Another kind of draw, stalemate, occurs when a player has no legal moves but is not in check. That’s most likely to happen to a lone king without any other pieces.

  3. Now it’s just a matter of getting you into a corner while avoiding stalemate. Maybe to level up a few pawns into queens?

(Yes, I did use the term “level up”.)

  4. iPod, if you had LISTENED to me, that would’ve been CHECKMATE, but noooooo, you’re too COOL for that.

        1. Nay, nay, good sir! I was merely taking a lucky opportunity to prolong the game length!

            1. I’m finding it quite suspenseful.

Still, it would have ended 20 moves ago if White had played 30. Rf1 (or 31. Rf1, or 32. Rf1, or 33. Rf1, or 34. Rg1 check). That’s why I teased you about running away to gobble up those pawns.
