Some of the older MBers are starting to turn 18. (Amazing, isn’t it?) On the Rules page, we announce that anyone on the blog aged 18 years and up must use his or her real name in order to be identified as an adult. Some veteran MBers, however, say they would rather go on using their blognames when the time comes — partly out of concern for privacy, partly because they and everyone else are used to them.
The Administrators have discussed this matter and, as usual, have decided on a compromise. Here’s the revised policy:
(1) Newcomers 18 years old and older must identify themselves as adults and use their real names.
(2) Established MuseBloggers who turn 18 may continue posting under blognames. The “Who’s Here” page will mark them as post-high-schoolers by placing plus signs (+) next to their names.

But unless people tell you, how would you know if they’re 18? And if they didn’t want to use their own name, wouldn’t they just pretend to be younger??? Oh well, when I’m 18, I’ll still just be able to use my blog name…Not for a year and a couple months, though.

I never plan on turning 18 anyway. I shall be 12 12/2 instead. just as I am now 12 3/2 rather than 13, and in just under a month i shall be 12 4/2. I will be 12 forever!

I ‘ve checked my diary, and it seems I’m over 18 too. It came as a shock, but it does explain why the blog refers to me as Paul Baker rather than Argolath tne Magnificent.
But to us you will always be Argolath, just the same.

My parents are all paranoid and don’t like me to sit in the front. My mom read some study about how your bones don’t mature until you’re fifteen and if they’re not matured they’re less dense and you could get hurt more in the front seat. So sitting in front is something of a novelty for me, despite the fact that I’m fourteen as tall as my mom. (Not saying much, she’s not very tall, but my point is that she’s tall enough not only to sit in front but to drive too.)
I can sit in the front sometimes. I’m not legally old enough or tall enough (I should still be in a booster seat!) but I do it anyway.

52–Though I am a paltry (square root of 169, plus one) years old, the pops has offered to teach me to drive. I’m not sure how I feel about this.

55 – My mom’s afraid of me driving, even though I can legally start. I’ll probably drag my dad out to a mall parking lot after-hours and learn where I can’t do too much damage to the surrounding property.
