I’m reading The Origin of Species for bio. It’s really interesting, because it gives a hold side to evolution that you don’t get in a classroom- that is, the actual evidence that made people come up with the theory in the first place. I find myself having to read each section two or three times before I properly understand them though.
Yay for Abe, too. He was a good president, methinks.
I have to get my Darwin report together for the next Musecast…ahh…I’ll get it in at some point GAPAs I swear… National French Contest this weekend though, so I’m likely to be cramming for that all week.

7- Biased as in for or agianst evolution? We just finished that unit too. My teacher was really worried he was going to offend someone with what he said. He kept on saying ” they’re really all just theories…” It did get pretty annoying…
Anyway, I told all my friends that it was Darwin’s birthday (they already knew about Lincolns’)…then asked all our teachers if we could sing to him. None of them would let us so we sang at our lunch table.

But it was at my homeschooling program, where nearly all the teachers just assume everyone’s Christian, which I am (I just became), but I have my own ideas, and she was all like, “Well, we know that’s not true, but unfortunately, it’s widely accepted, and here’s the evidence against it, and all the structural homology means is that God found a good structure, so He stuck with it (granted, structural homology is evidence against it, but still…), and blah, blah, blah…”. It just gets annoying after a while, you know?
And way to go on the singing!
