yay! anywayz, green calms me down. They tell u it calms everybody diown if u go 2 artspace in nc.they als have a batik class, which i took. first it was a stable 4 ur horse and buggie when u went to town (1909) and then it was a car dealership until 1978 (Snyders car dealership, did a brisk buisness, too) and now its artspace, a place where visitors can watch artists at work.

I bought this bright green newsboy hat w/ a clover on it + wore it to the mall today. Now I’m going to take the clover off, b/c it’s a sweet hat, + I want to wear it again!
I had to work yesterday (downtown), and there were A LOT of rowdy pub crawlers running around! They were pretty funny, but they freaked me out @ the same time. I was just camped out behind the counter, praying that they wouldn’t decide to come in!
And my mother made green pancakes today. They were pretty good.

St. Patrick’s day, as far as i am concerned, is not something 2 be celebrated. people generally celebrate it because they say that he drove all the snakes out of ireland, and therefore he is a saint. but let me tell u something else: snakes are very often symbolic of Paganism! you getting what this means? “Saint” Patrick drove all the Pagans out of ireland! why? BECAUSE HE WAS [snip] PREJUDICED, THAT’S WHY!! (i know i should probably take this rant 2 the religions thread, but i saw this thread and just couldn’t resist.
BTW, there’s a typo in the title. it says, “by one MB’s insistent request”, but it’s supposed to be (i think), “by one MBer’s insistent request. just pointing that out.

It was clever of Patrick to take the credit, but no one in Ireland had ever seen a snake when he lived there. Scientists have figured out that glaciers wiped out the snakes during the last Ice Age. When the glaciers melted about 12,000 years ago, the Irish Sea rose before more snakes could wiggle across from Britain.
I have this little card type thing that says “The Legend of St. Patrick.”
Here’s what it says:
