39 – I was Clara at first (my name), and then I noticed everyone was calling themselves other than their names, so I changed mine to Malignant Mandolin. But I didn’t really like that, so I was thinking of other names and I came up with Purple Panda. I’m not sure I like it a whole lot…it seemed a bit girly for me, but I don’t really want to change it again and I can’t really think of anything I like better. So Purple Panda works for me!

106-Friday and 13 have a long history of unluckiness. I don’t know about the Friday bit, but 13 has been unlucky for not that long, but it grew to an obsession in the last hundred or two years, if I’ve got my facts right. The most popular 13 superstition was multiple variations on the theme of “If thirteen sit at a table, one will die”. Sometime in the early 20th century, someone started taking unlucky 13 and unlucky Friday and joining the two superstition. It is now the most popular superstition in the world. I know all this only because I’m reading a book on the superstition.
