Pies are a traditional greeting, actually. They are also often used as rewards or symbols of affection, so you wouldn’t pie them for using bad grammar. Most likely a PoPoPo would fine the offender.
Or you can pie someone who disagrees with you in some way. Usually in the form of not liking your favorite book.
Hm. True. Still, even then they seem mostly friendly. I’ve never seen pies used as a serious form of punishment.
No, not really. Actually, I think that for of pieing is normally used by the person disagreeing with everybody, as shorthand for ‘I know I’m disagreeing and you can pie me all you like, it won’t change my mind’.
