I’ll be leaving soon, for ballet camp. But I’m such a lurker, now, it might be hard to tell that I’m gone… Ah well. I shall return! (And I’m not going for another week or so, anyway…)

I won’t go anywhere, I don’t think. I’ll be moving, but the town is less than an hour away, so it’s not exactly traveling. I’ll be going kayaking though, and even if I sleep here every night, I’ll be gone all day. And I’m scheming to get every one of the kids I kayak with hooked of Muse. While still keeping it safe and dry. Yeah, right. . .
I am leaving in July to go on a weekend trip to Cedar Point, America’s roller coast! My brother wantsa me to ride the Millenium Force. I’m sooooo scared. Can anyone give me advice on what to do???
3- ? What is Millennium Force? My advice is: If you don’t want to ride it, then don’t.
4 – It’s like the scariest roller coaster on the planet.
I’ll be in Montana for 2 weeks in July. Do any MBers live in Montana?
3- Go for it even if its the scariest rollar coaster on earth. But if it is waaaaaay out of your comfort zone don’t do it. My advice is not to make up your mind until you get thereand you see it yourself. Or have your mom or dad ride it first.
I’ve found the scariest part of roller coasters is when they slowly haul you up the big hill. After that you move so fast you don’t have time to be afraid.
I’m going to adventure camp! Yeah! We ride a bus up to *a city* and then go kayaking and rock climbing and more! It’s going to be so much fun! Yeah!
But it’s in July…

2: Wow, you’re moving? What will happen to the farm?
3: Ride the Dragster, or you will regret it for the rest of your life. I’ve been on it twice, and it was one of the best experiences ever. The line was about an hour long, and my best friend and I just talked to people the whole time, and then when you finally ride it, it’s just SO FAST. And SMOOTH. It’s indescribable. Or I’m an inadequate describer… whichever ;).
Anyhow, my extended family goes to Cedar Point every year. No other amusement park rides compare, really… you’ll have a blast. I guess my advice is: all the roller coasters rock except the Mean Streak, which is miserable. Seriously, it’s hell, and not because it’s scary: it’s just so jerky it’s painful. Oh, and you asked about the Millenium. It’s nowhere near as thrilling as the Dragster, but definitely second-best. You might even like it more because it’s more than like 10 seconds long so you actually have a chance to enjoy it. It’s very smooth.
5: Not really. It’s not as big of a deal as everyone thinks. The only freaky part is going up the big hill, building anticipation.

11- Sadly, we will have to sell the sheep. But we are keeping this place, we’re just renting a town house so that I can go to a good high school.
yeah, I’m leaving saturday for a six week camp. Should be fun. I probably will return when I’m back.
I’m doing lotsa stuff this summer, we’re thinking about hosting a fresh air child. does anyone know anything about that? I know all the stuff they tell you in articles and the internet and all, but has anyone hosted or been a fresh air kid? It sounds kinda like fun… but I don’t know, I’ve never had much contact with anyone from a city… their like foreign creatures, I babysit kids around here, and they understand all the safety stuff and all of a farm, but there’s so much a city kid wouldn’t know about… I don’t know, I guess I’ll find out, there’s quite an adventure for my summer

I’m going to Australia with People to People for three weeks, and then we’re getting an exchange student from France. I’ll either never be on the blog, or constantly, trying to escape the hectic life that I lead. It’s suposed to end with school!
15- Naw. I thought it was unlikely, but the kayaking and the buses sounded like it could almost be in Washington.

Now my 5-day trip to Carmel starting tomorrow doesn’t sound so big.

I’m going narrowboating for a week, and then coming to America.
Anyway, I’m leaving tomorrow for camp for six weeks. Should be fun. I hope. :-/ So yeah. I’ll be back when I’m back.

Fourth of July parade? does that count? we travel three or four miles at least…we don’t go in a straight line, we wander down all the streets so lazy snipvillers can sit on their porches and wave without the bother of actually going to the parade.

We’re also heading off to DC sometime, because you can never visit DC too many times (although i doubt i’d want to live there.)
We’re not doing too much traveling this summer actually. usually we do more but we’ve actually got stuff going on *gaspe* like omgz a job and like omgz camps and like omgz my friend’s coming down from MI
fun stuff like that. Minus the omgz because i just realized how annoying they really are.

DId I tell you guys the reason I’m going? My grandfather was born and grew up in Montana and we’re going to see where he spent his childhood. I love learning about history from the people who where there!
On Tuesday i’m leaving for… Scottsdale, Arizona! Yay!

It’s supposed to 108 up in Scottsdale today (110 where I live)…my most heartfelt condolences.
Sorry, I didn’t mean to sound so negative…normally, I love Arizona, but around this time of year, it kinda loses its appeal. I hope you have a good time anyway, though.
I’m leaving this place on Tuesday, thank goodness. I’ve been confined in doors for the past two weeks because of the heat…I’m going to Berkeley, and then to camp. Won’t be back until July. Then I go to Prescott for band camp.
27: I’m going to visit my relatives, eat a lot, argue with born-agains, flirt with my hot cousin, and at a certain point go to California too.
I’m going to Oakland California, Hilton Beach Ontario, Charlottesville Virginia, and maybe Shawnee Kansas. I’m going on my first UM flight. *is kind of nervous*

I already went to Paris this summer. It was lovely. I love Paris. I shall live there someday. My sister has a really cute apartment there. Tiny, but cute. You know what I like about cities? Public transportation. yeah. Brilliant idea.
I’m going to tour a college and go out of state.

I went to Washington D.C. on Thursday and came back Sunday. I saw my uncle’s retirement, lincoln memorial, washington monument, jefferson memorial, Vietnam memorial, WWII memorial, the zoo, etc. It was fun but my feet hurt soooooooooooo bad!

This is one of my last posts on MB, for a month or so, for I will be away in ballet camp. I’ve been sewing all kinds of things (Blech. Sewing is funnish, but not when you’ve left it until the last minute…) , and I’m making a mad attempt to clean my room, and pack. So goodbye, musers!

My gorgeous summer so far ha involved a beach, ten horses, and a great deal of rain. But it was fun. Now I get to sit in one place for the rest of the summer. yay.
I’m still stuck here at home and will be for over a week. Then I’m going to Mexico and I can’t wait! Once July eighth hits, I’m pretty much away from home till halfway through August though.
I’m soo bored this summer, we don’t (didn’t) have anything to do all June, then late July is 1 week of camp, and that’s just about all, then one week of august is vacation and a few days there for FFA stuff… I don’t think I’ve ever had a more “empty” summer

My mom keeps saying stuff like “Why don’t you practice your instruments?” when she knows I spent an hour doing it this morning. So I tell her that I already did and she’s like “Well, I could always give you chores to do…” I was sorely tempted to start banging my head against my desk. Argh.
China was very fun. Except it’s also very poluted. I knew this, but I didn’t really realize I wouldn’t be able to see the stars ever.
I’m back… and this time I’m really leaving…
But I had an unexpected opportunity to check back in before I left for the camp, so I decided to stop by.

I just got back from Mexico – we (my mom, dad, sister, brother, and grandma) went to the Yucatán Peninsula. We went to Mayan ruins in Chichén Itzá, Ek-Balam, and Tulum. We also went to the Yucatán’s capital city, Mérida, to see the culture, etc., and then we went to Tulum and Akumal to swim with sea turtles, sting rays, sharks, squids, fish, etc. We also snorkeled in several Cenotes (underground river systems).
Just got back from France, yesterday.
The traveling was just awful to begin with…
we got stuck in Houston overnight and spent hours in airports all over. We were stuck in Lufthansa (German airport) for something like eight hours, and they kept moving us back and forth from gate to gate.
When we finallllly got to France, we had virtually missed Paris.
My traveler’s cheques were signed incorrectly, and deemed worthless, so I had to use my credit card for the entire trip. Lot’s of the food places didn’t accept credit cards, so lunch was always a problem.
It wasn’t so bad though, there were late night parties that I occasionally went to, consisting of cheap wine and loud music in a cramped hotel. Generally not my scene, though I did have some Smirnoffs in a different setting. Now I really want some Smirnoff, bummer for laws.
When we reached Corsica, we were right next to the beach… fantastic. One of the teachers was like “well, we’re closing the doors at 11, so if you’re not in by then, you’re stuck sleeping on the beach”.

We brought out some blankets, lit a small fire, started chilling, and then

Madame came out and, per usual, was completely stupid. Before I sound like I’m name-calling, this is a widely established fact. She’s stupid, mean, and crazy. I don’t know why she teaches, she hates us (except for a select few) and we hate her. Anyways, she comes out and goes all stupid-crazy on us about how we’re going to burn everything down (we’re in the middle of sand, right next to the water) and how we aren’t supposed to listen to the other teacher.
Also, earlier at dinner, she and some of the teachers from the other groups (there were also some kids from Pennsylvania , Colorado, and Oregon) were talking about how ungrateful the Californians are and how ungrateful. When my friend, Frances, confronts her about it (we were two feet away when we heard this little thing, but she confronted her after the beach thing), she said that it had been taken completely out of context and how Frances was being rude.
Ugh, glad I’m never going to see that creature ever again.
Also, I got a children’s book for my friend. It’s about a piece of …poo. He wanted to find love, but no one would love him cus he smelled so bad. He tried to disquise himself as chocolate, to no avail. Eventually he decided to end it all and flushed himself down the toilet.
July 18 (birthday! woo!), I’m going to go fly out to Martha’s Vineyard to our house out there. That’s always nice… I’ll have some babysitting/grocery jobs around there, and it’s five minutes to the beach by bike, 15 to town.
All in all, good summer.

We pretty much seperated ourself into Californians in the front and everyone else in the back… but this one kid, Gordy, came up to the front and made us introduce ourself for a mint.

I just got back from Australia yesterday!
I was gone for three weeks, so I’m going to describe each section in a post because I want to tell everyone how awesome it was! The plane ride was about a day though, and the time zones/international date line really confused me.
Sydney was huge, I’m used to NYC as a city, but it’s just an island Sydney is a valley around a harbor. Opera house is acoustically amazing, and it feels kind of old, but full of life. I wish I could make sets there. We climbed the bridge, so that was cold and windy, but fun.
