The third installment of this month’s random thread features a summery illustration by kt the gr8. (Presumably the bunny had jelly for breakfast is using raspberry jam as sunblock.)

Ah. Of course. The picture is very logical… I enjoy it muchly.
(First poste? *does first poste dance*)
Please forgive me for the double post, but Kiki-article? If she was not joking, yay! Was that her secret project? Of course, she is off to camp, now. But still, I cannot wait for the new muse issue!
I am scared of going to CTY now. I have looked on this website www. realcty. org (please! It is mostly harmless and helpful to the CTYers)(and it’s no treally a link cuz I don’t know how to make one) and there are so many annoying traditions at Carlisle, where I am going. Lancaster has an annoying amount of traditions too. Julieb and Traggle, have you gone b4? My first time. But it’s less than a month away! Excited and nervous. And behind on SF
It’s a nice picture. I like the surfboard.
I leave for camp tomorrow! YESSSSSSS!!!
Lancaster has really wierd traditions. i went there last year, and I didn’t like it too much. and the food at Lancaster is pretty bad. I never really bothered with Passionfruit, which is one of the traditions, but it is a big deal at Carlisle. Most of the other people on my hall were really into it. I really don’t know what else to tell you right now, If you have any more questions, just ask. I’ve been to Carlisle and Lancaster, so I know a lot about annoying traditions.
Oh, and another thing, if you don’t like “the game”, don’t EVER go to Lancaster. People will shout “I LOSE” at every possible oppurtunity. That’s why I started ignoring the game when it was brought onto the blog.
Sorry for the triple post…on that site, make sure you read the Lexicon.
CTY sounds like the sort of place where Kokopelli for President buttons would be real fashion statements. </blatant_advertising>
Whoa! In k8 the gr8’s picture, the hpb has a nose! And arms and legs! It must be one of those rare undecapitated bunnies! (Wait, undecapitated? Is that even a word?)
Maybe the new post limit on the random thread should be 400 posts. That way it would be practically impossible to get 5 threads or more, so people would stop trying to make it.
I MISS CTY!!!! I made a lot of good friends at Carlisle ’05, and a few more friends at LAN ’06, and I want to see them again. And you know what, the one person I really want to see, Mike, is too old for CTY.
Oh well, less than a month now until I’m back at Carlisle.
Weird. It’s not even summer yet.
Good morning, everyone! How’s life? Did I miss anything important while I was asleep? (Jk. I didn’t sleep that long.)
12- Not technically. But who really cares? Our Solstice party is going to be on the 22, so clearly we aren’t really adhering strictly to the rules.
I should start planning my B-Day party. ‘Twill be a Tea, with tea, (naturally) and lots of little snacky-tea-things, from the Tea section of Great British Cooking. Hurrah! More than that, I should start working on my sister’s birthday present.
I am feeling strangely cheerful today. . . All happy and chipper. Weird.
(9) We have a new policy about continued threads. For the random threads, we’re going to create three parts a month, regardless of how many posts there are. We’ll see how that works out.
6- OH GREAT. Sorry, but I’m not looking forward to the “I-Lost-The-Gaming.” I’ve never been before, so I’m keeping an open mind, but still. My friends recommend it, so we’ll see. Some of my friends can be slightly sadistic.
Why hello, Museblog!
Traggle, I am going to Carlisle too. I need to find you so you can tell me traditions and stuff. I went to the Joseph Baldwin Academy last year, you can look it up, and it seems almost exactly the same as CTY only at Truman State in MO.
In other news, we got a leopard gecko whose name is Leo! (my brother named it) (very original I know) (he is 11. you’d think he would pick something else) (he wanted bob but I overruled him) (enough with the parentheses!)
Schools out!
Hey, I don’t know where to post this, but… could we have a thread dedicated to Esoteric in general?
16- Wow. You’re like, one of the people from WAY back, aren’t you?
I composed a letter to Muse. I basically expressed my displeasure at the new size, told them my theory of HPBs, and requested three things. It is so long!
I have the coolest dad in the world. It struck me how cool he was while I was out with the sheep. How many other dads build kayaks in their spare time? And make Greenland paddles, and harpoons . . .
I have changed my name. What do you think? I just like the name Mirabelle, so that is what I picked.
20- I like it. Do I call you Mirabelle now?
It does not matter. Sure.
22 – Plus, old MBers can still tell who you are.
Being a teenager is weird.
Our table needs a shim. It makes my head feel weird.
Weird and seize both have ei, rather than ie.
24 – How is being a teenager weird?
I’m going to be one in a few months, so I’d rather know what to expect than figure it out when it comes.
Has anybody ever thought about this?
25- Well, I’ll tell you how it feels weird to me, but bear in mind that I am fully in the throes of the weirdness, and not responsible for my actions and sayings.
I feel kind of like there are two parts of my mind, the teenage one and the normal one. Most of the time, the normal part is in control, but at the slightest provocation the teenage side will take over and I will usually get unreasonably grumpy, sad, depressed, etc. even though the normal side of my mind is well aware that it is totally unreasonable.
Ugh. I feel sorry for you. I’m almost done being thirteen, but fourteen can’t be a whole lot better.
Only 9 more days until all my dreams come true. Oh dear sweet Anime Expo, you have not disappointed me. ♥
I take it everyone is having a nice summer thus far? Mine’s been alright, but I’m lacking in book reading material…
27 – Wow. That explains everything about my random behavior swings lately in real life.
26- Never. But I suppose it’s possible . . . However, if you were really a GAPA with that plot, then you wouldn’t have posted a link to that, you would have tried to bury it as deep as possible. Unless that’s exactly what you want us to think . . .
I feel weird enough already, E2MB!
For me, fourteen was hard and sharp and clear and intense. An exciting age.
31- Oh joy.
I did enjoy it, even if I couldn’t quite believe a lot of it afterward.
I got it! Instead of that weird theory of Gwen’s, what if I am the only person on MuseBlog, but I have multiple personalities, and I post and moderate everything, but I can’t remember that I have done it! Or maybe I am just a figment of someone else’s imagination, and only think I’m real! Whoa . . . *is dizzy*
I just called a MuseBlogger I have never met by their short name. Gosh, this is strange.
(26, 30) That could explain why additional GAPAs were called into service. Unless, of course, we’re being impersonated as well.
30 – heh heh heh heh heh……..31 – I can imagine it is. That’s when the full effects of puberty really start to kick in.
WACK!!! NEW POST OVERLOAD!!!!!!!!!!

27- Same. What’s really weird is when you realize you’re having an irrational mood swing. Fourteen is tough. I miss thirteen. But it’s fun, too. Fourteen is definitely a year of change, much more than thirteen is.
39- Are you fourteen?
ooh it turned out fabulous!
thank you for putting it on!
oh by the way it didnt put on jelly sunscreen it tanned under the jelly sun on the planet jelyper which so many people mistake with jupiter!
16 is awesome. I can buy beer.
So how about that esoterics thread?
42 – The meaning of life. XD XD XD ROTFL
oh man, just wait until PMS. *irrationally bites everybody’s head off and devours five bars of virtual choklit*
What’s really fun is having it at the same time as your mother *KILLMENOWKILLMENOW*
But enough angsty “save-me” postings.
I got a LJ. For ranting *hinthintforsn* and the name ebeth was taken, so whoever ebeth is on there, it’s not me
Ooh, we’re going to see wicked tonight! (it’s in columbus) yeah, i know a lot of you are right now saying “pshaw, saw that ages ago” well, it’s new for me
4th of july practices starting up. Yaaaay, marching around the track for a billion hours in the crazy-intense heat! *dies*
Oh and i’ve finally actually got a job…pool lady finally put me on the schedule, so i’m training thursday and starting saturday (actually i get paid for training too, because “training” is just working but you’re allowed to be a little stupid) That means i’ll miss about three hours of monica’s sweet sixteen, but i can’t really ask for it off after stalking the lady begging to be given some hours. *sigh* oh well.
iiiiiiiiiiiiii want popcorn. bye
40- Fifteen in August.
44 – That was random.
Jeez, I hate my script. No, seriously. It took days off my life when I could have been finishing The Makepeace War or some other interesting, fun, thing, it’s unfinished, and it sucks. The story was not such a good idea as it was when I had it, because I really didn’t have any plot. But one good thing is I know I can do it. I can write several hundred words a day in dialogue, I can definitely finish my book by summers-end.
I want to have a party. (What was that about mood swings?) With cake and ice cream and warm summer-ness. It wouldn’t hurt to go jump in the river, either, ‘cept it’s too cold.
42- What do you mean by an “esoterics thread”? We’re all esoteric, so why do we need a separate thread for it?
This is the random thread, and it had a point.
I’m still in school. Isn’t that terrible? As of Friday morning, however, I am no longer a middle schooler! I’m so excited! (Of course, I keep telling all the fifth and sixth graders that I know how they’ll treasure their memories of middle school for the rest of their lives. -cackles-)
My mind is back to normal now. Hurrah!
What do people think I look like, based on my name?
I am going to be so wrong on this.
Not extremely tall, about 5′ 4″, brown hair, green eyes. I have no more specifics at this time.
What about me?
I think of you as a brown-haired, thin, brown-eyed, 5’3” medium-brown-skinned person. But that’s just my imaginary image of you.
What do people think I look like based on my name?
51-Ooo, we should have a thread for stuff like that! Um, probably a medium-height, medium-length-haired person who likes the outdoors. Right? Oh and not weak.
OH more posts!
52-Yes, thin, with brown hair and I don’t know about the eyes.
MORE POSTS!!!
54-Um, shortish lightish brown hair, relatively tall, thin, smiles a lot, laughs.
What about me??? Um, maybe we should have a thread for this at this rate!
There are probably more posts now…
51- Alice in Wonderland ^^;
52- A green-eyed, green-wearing wild elf.
54- A dude in a spacesuit.
57- A short, tan guy with maroon hair wearing brown.
Me?
I don’t know who was referring to me and who was referring to someone else! Except this:
Not extremely tall, about 5′ 4″, brown hair, green eyes. I have no more specifics at this time.
Right about the brown hair, I haven’t measured myself in a while, but I might be 5′ 4″, and my eyes aren’t green.
~~~~~~
Mirabelle – Depends on which name. Mirabelle or Green Qween? Or Julia?
E2MB – Shortish, brown eyes, medium to dark brown hair, wearing a green t-shirt and jeans.
Rt-H – Um . . . Light brown hair, small, with brown or green eyes. Wearing an overly large sweatshirt.
Oh, wait.
55- There was a thread, which is why I asked. It was called, “Theories of Life, Death, the Universe, and Everything.”
Sweet Melpomene – Brown hair with a slight undertone of gold, brown eyes. More than that, I do not know.
I do not look like Alice in Wonderland, the illustrations or the girl.
51-I picture you with straight, light brown or darkish blonde hair, shoulder length or a little longer, and brown eyes.
52-With green hair. But that’s almost definitely wrong.
54-Short brown hair, brown or blue eyes, and a little shorter than me. (I’m 5′ 3 1/8″)
57-lol, I don’t even know if you’re a boy or a girl.
What does everyone think I look like? Or have you all seen my picture already, in which case what did you think i looked like before you saw it, and how surprised were you when you did?
59 (Alice) – You’re right about everything except the eyes and t-shirt. (I don’t know what’s short to you, but I’m 5’3”.) I have blue eyes and a dark blue t-shirt on.
RtH – Tall, thin, medium-brown brown hair, blue eyes, a few freckles, wearing a big white t-shirt.
62- My hair long and straight, but it’s not light brown or blonde, and it’s not shoulder length or a little longer. My eyes are not brown.
emmatheduck – I thought you were blonde! With blue or green eyes. But honestly, I didn’t really think about it.
62 – I thought you had long, straight brown hair, and darker skin.
And less chubby cheeks.Oh, and I thought you would look older, because for some reason I had this idea that you were like fifteen.
62 – You’re entirely correct about me.
*hands over pie*
62-Boy. But before I saw your picture I had a hard time thinking of what you might look like because I kept thinking of the Emma I knew one time!
Wow people have different ideas of what I look like!!! I’ll let other people guess now that my gender is more apparent!
Maybe we should send in pictures of ourselves so we actually know what we look like! Can we do that, GAPAs? If our parents say yes?
RtH the MYSTERIOUS!!!
68- RtH the Mysterious? I see. You’ve never been particularly mysterious to me, except that you have such a unique name that anyone could find you merely by googling.
58-Longish, straight, dark hair and green eyes. Completely wrong?
65-My cheeks were only like that because i was smiling!
66-I’m 12 4/2
67-Really? wow.
68-I still can’t get a good mental picture of you, for some reason.
I think that everyone is almost completely wrong about me. I am 5’8″ or more, I’m not sure, I have a bit longer than shoulder length red hair, blue-ish eyes, brown rounded square frame glasses.almost always wearing a green shirt, and odds are khaki pants. I do laugh and smile a lot.
68 – I think so. Getting our parents to say yes will be the hard part.
I have lots of freckles on my face and my knees, and my hair is curly but often back in a bun ponytail thing. I also always wear a gold ring with a garnet on it on the ring finger of my right hand, and a silver ring on my left ring finger. No I am not married. I wear a watch that has bands alternating gold an silver.
70- 12 4/2? Does that mean you’re fourteen, or did you mean to say 12 2/4?
69-plenty of MB names are googlable. Annoingly, yours is one of the few that isn’t. If you had a more unique name i almost definitely would have tried to contact you by now. Same with elizabeth. But you’re both useless.
70 – Is there some story behind this 12 4/2 and 12 8/2 thing? Because I remember someone else doing it forever ago…..
74-no, 12 4/2. And I’m NOT 14! I would be, but I refuse to be a teenager. So I’m 12 4/2.
75 – If you google my name you can find MuseBlog pretty quick, but not much else…..
Actually, nowhere else. Except my wikipedia user page, which includes “e2mb”. But that has no contact information at all…
75- Try going to Script Frenzy and finding the MuseBlog thread on the forums. After that, it will be easy. Of course, the GAPAs will probably snip that, but it’s worth a shot.
77- I see. Okay, then I’m 12 3/2.
Emma are you doing CTY?
I’m 12 1/2! Dang, it doesn’t quite have the same effect…….
How will the GAPAs know if our parents gave them permission to post our photo?
81-Yes. At LMU. logic session 1, game theory session 2. You?
Someone should make a chart of MB ages. Me, I’m 15. I know e~a is 17~ish (sorry! ^^;) and Penty is 15 too…hmm FS is 16 isn’t he?
okay, what about me, based on my name?
27- that’s kind of what this year has felt like for me, except I’m fifteen.. I guess I just developed kind of slowly or something.. I always feel so miserable when I’m being snappish also, but it’s like I’m too lazy to act a different way or something.. It’s weird.
The parts when I’m away from home and with my friends etc have been fun, though.
86 (or probably 85, because the GAPAs are refusing to moderate the comment in which I told Emmatheduck how to contact me.) – Or maybe it feels like that throughout all the teenage years . . . Ugh. I don’t like being snappish either, but it just happens. I manage to keep it off MB though, miraculously. Today and yesterday were the only days when it has overflowed.
Lizzie – Brown or blond hair in braids. Blue eyes, and a blue skirt. A cardigan in yellow or pink.
Yeah, that’s what the name Lizzie conjures up for me. That used to be my dream outfit, too. Perhaps it still is.
85-You have dark blonde curly/very wavy hair and light brown eyes. And tallish, maybe 5′ 6.” I’m completely wrong again, aren’t I?
75- (emmatheduck) Actually, I mean this first name. I don’t know what it is, but it must be pretty darn special if we can find him by googling his first name. I get several thousand hits on my first name.
GAPAs, just snip it if you don’t want to let it through. I’m fine with that. But it’s messing up numbering for me.
Wowie. I was gone for ONE DAY and there happenes to be eighty five posts when I come back? *tsk tsk tsk* MBers truly have NOTHING else to do. Which is not exactly a bad thing…
Sorry for the 2p, but I googled my name and got the Expiditon for Scribblemaya and Random Factoids thread. *sqwee*
I’m a teenager! I haven’t really thought about being 13 las being a teenager. I don’t feel that much older. Now I have to be responsible and mature…
Today was my last day of school.
Has anybody tried Safari? I just downloaded it, and I think it’s really easy to use.
GAPAs let it through! Emmatheduck, see comment 80.
80-I just read all your posts on that thread. I didn’t see any contact information. Maybe I’m just too tired to comprehend anything? I’ll try again tomorrow maybe….
What do I look like? A beaver?
87-!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT I SAW!!!!!! Well, I think she has a banana yellow sweater, and pink checked shoes.
Holy cow the blog is hoppin’. I can’t keep up with all this… !
398 (last thread): I’ve seen her recently. Of course, my idea of recent may be slightly different than yours, because I hang out on the Pie Isle thread a lot, where things move quite sloooowly in proportion to the rest of the blog.
82: email
I can’t do this describe-y thing because I’ve already said what I look like, somewhere around here…
But I can describe other people. Though only vaguely, because I don’t really have clear pics of anyone.
RtH: I think you probably look like one of the many freshman boys I know. Sorry it’s stereotypical. You seem like you’d be light-haired.
E2MB: Same as RtH, but I think you have dark hair.
Lizzie: I always think of you as older, like at least 16, and pretty tall I guess.
Mirabelle: Hm, around 14-15 in age, shortish, with brown hair?
I think I’m worng about everything.
95- No, my name. If you search it you should find my never-again-to-be-mentioned blog. Or you could FrenzyMail me, except that you probably have to be a user . . .
97- I’ve seen TNÖ a lot. But she wasn’t on Who’s Here.
96- Ew, pink-checked shoes?
Beavo the Great – Red hair, and brown eyes. Beyond that, I don’t know.
Hello everyone!! I’m still in China, on my cousins computer.
Havn’t read this thread yet…lazy me. I read some other new ones but after finishing them, realized I had nothing to say. Oh well. Mom wants a turn now, so I have to get off. Rants/stories on China later.
Emma- I am going to Carlisle Session 2 Etymologies. I saw you on the RealCTY page or if you google Emmatheduck.
Most people seem to think I am older than I am. I mean not just on here, but my parent’s friends and stuff. I have been asked what college I am going to. I am 13 for goodness sakes! I guess I look older than my age, which can be good, but my mom always had to bring my birth certificate to the movies so they would believe that I was under eleven. Oh, and some guy who was recruiting for the Democrats asked me where I voted.
Of course even if my parents AND the GAPAs say I can send in a picture, I will have to do something interesting while reading Muse, right? Or do you just want a mug shot?
80-I have no clue how to do any of that, so I can’t find you plus you live in Washington state or some other far away place. It’s really too bad…I like sheep!
OH I forgot to say how fr00dy the picture is! Great job, kt!
YIKES!!! It’s scary what you can find with google…I tried etd, and I didn’t click on anything but there were even places that seemed to be saying how to email her or contact her or stuff!!!
I’m REALLY glad I haven’t used RtH for anything else!!!
Of course I don’t do anything else so there’s no danger!
lol
85- Didn’t we have something like that, except it was just the average age of the MBers? Or was that the average age of Musers? *shrugs* Was it 13? I’m 16ish.
104- Lucky you… ^^;
So my normal email isn’t working; I can fix it, but it’ll take a while, and I’ll be gone after 11 this morning. Sooo. It’s back to using the Gmail account. Gah. This is really starting to scare me. But I think a few minor updates should fix everything once I clean up the hard drive a bit…Yikes!
I’m also amazingly behind on SF. w00t for me. And I’ll be off to see POTC3… because I need to get a ride from the theatre, and nothing else is playing at a suitable time, save FF2, and I haven’t seen the first. I’ll be working like mad this Saturday.
Seriously, since when have I had a life?! Tomorrow I’m going to [name of amusement park snipped] and there’s a surprise party for a friend on Sunday. Egad. Stupid busy weekend. I’m also going to be on vacation from 30 June through 5 July. Which will be absolutely horrid and lacking in teh internets department.
Well, now that I’ve babbled sufficiently, I’m off…
Can we have a CTY discussion thread? It would be easier to talk about CTY there without having to sort through a bunch of random comments.
Anyways, what do people think I look like? Think carefully now…
104- Heh. I don’t put my contact info on the web. It’s not a very good idea. Of course, I used to be very ignorant that I would put my full name on the web. But I still never put contact info or locations up, so you could have googled my full name all you would get would be the two random sites where I used my full name (maybe) and a famous author. Not me. And you would never think to look where I live now. I mean, people a thirty-minute drive away don’t know of its existence!
106- I don’t know. Traggle isn’t a name that makes me think of anything picture-wise, much less anything that looks remotely like a human.
Yay for the longest day of the year!!! Tonight, I’m going to the lake access by my house to watch the sunset!
104 – Don’t worry. “Red-tailed hawk” probably got a lot of hits for nature sites, too. That’s a pretty popular name, in general. E2MB is not.
YAY!!!! IT’S NOW SUMMER!!!!!
Allright, how many people want the next random thread to be July Jam?
Wait! It’s not summer for another half hour!
It’s still spring!
What do I look like? I don’t see a clear image of any of you guys, except perhaps Alice. And she’s been discussed to death anyway.
106-I’m not even gonna try or I’ll get in trouble!
Well, you all know what I look like…
111-Are those all of your old names? I haven’t seen you long enough as cinnamon to be able to tell…
If you were ever involved with Pie Isle, the people who are there urge you to come back. It’s just one click away!
113-Um, no! How?
114- No, those are my roleplaying writing names. I can’t be bothered to change them. You may also know me as iwanttobeamuffin, or, more recently, Lady Moonstar. I’m getting rid of the other bits to my name.
lol, I love how everyone seems to think that I’m tall and blond.. In reality, I’m short (5’3″), have chin-length brown hair, green eyes, a nose, and a mouth. Yay.
106-Hm…dark hair, either dark, dark brown or black. Not a pale complexion, though…but also not dark. Probably dark blue or dark green eyes. Fairly tall, like…5’6″, or so. Hair just past your shoulders. Oval/square-shaped face.
111-Short (just above shoulders) dirty-blonde hair, bright blue eyes, pretty fair complexion, but not white. About 5’4″, heart-shaped face.
What do I look like? (Kiki, you’re not allowed to answer!)
11- What do you think I look like? Only two people speculated on me, and it’s interesting to see what other people think.
Cinnamoon – You have auburn hair, are smallish, and wear plaid. Weird, I know.
116: Everyone found my photobucket at a certain point.
75- My name isn’t googleable. Actually, I probably should have googled it before I chose it, because it insinuates all these completely wrong things about me if you try google, but now it’s my name and I can’t change it. [snip! goes the contact information] If the GAPAs let that through. [Nope. Sorry.]
I want July Jam. It’s just so right.
You all know what I look like. My hair is more blonde and less red than in the picture, though, and I’m growing out the bangs and tying it back more.
121- I’ve never looked.
122- What sort of wrong things? Do I want to know? I could google it, I guess… But I don’t really want to.
123: well, it’s there.
Photobucket? Where are photobuckets, anyway?
126- It’s a photo hosting site.
I second CTY discussion site.
128 – The “divine” really turns it up a notch.
129- I don’t notice because it’s not capitalized, and therefore fades into the background. But then again, I absorb words rather than reading them, and I can read things without even noticing I have done so.
what? I could have sworn I posted here yesterday saying I was indeed seventeen to axa…. weird…
what do you think I look like?
Um . . . Lessee . . . You have sandy brown hair, blue-grey-purple eyes, you’re not much taller than most people, but you seem taller, you have blue stud earrings, and wear a periwinkle skirt and light green turtleneck pullover.
How’s that? What do you think I look like?
wow. That is actually quite accurate. I’m not so sure about the light colored clothing, or the turtleneck bit (turtlenecks bother my neck) or the stud bit. (I’d definately be wearing earrings though, they’d just be dangly ones. I”m always wearing earrings (usually handmade ones)
133- elasse-adeal is a very light-colored name to me. The double S and all those Es and As speak to me of periwinkle and pink, oddly enough.
122- lol, I just tried it. Two of the results that I saw were actually you, xkcd and tmbw.
If you press all four arrow keys at once, your computer beeps at you.
136-Strange. Not on macs I guess! It didn’t work for me…
136- Really? Mine doesn’t.
My computer seems to be unique around here.
Do any of your computers show the code for making smileys in the little yellow boxes when you hold you cursor over it?
Test it out:
135- I actually hadn’t googled it since about a week after I got the wiki account. xkcd is apparently either popular or well-linked. I’m glad now, though, that you find me if you search my name.
136- Yes, but why?
139- Nope. I have a rather old Macintosh PowerBook G3, to quote the little words below the screen.
140 – So it beeps on your computer?
34- Hmm… elasse~adael isn’t really me anymore. I’ll think for a bit and then come up with something that is. I’ll still be e~a, though. I’m just curious to see what a new name reminds you of. Actually, what do you think when you see widdershins?
143- Same, actually, because I was partly going on widdershins and partly on e~a and partly on elasse~adeal. The purple came from came widdershins, the light green from elasse~adeal, and the hair color from e~a.
Guess what? My friends and I spontaneously had a solstice dance in the lobby of a large art museum near where I live. I especially loved the expression on the nearby five year olds’ faces…
I also went to a solstice party with a different group of friends. (the first group were my class at MITY and the second was my friends from school)
145- My solstice party-ritual is tomorrow, sadly… And we don’t dance. Well, we could dance, but it’s not something we normally do and I would be much, much, to shy to actually do it. I don’t dance. The closest I will get is running wildly around with the kids, and I probably won’t do much of that either…
It’s interesting to see what you think I look like. Actually, I have brown hair just over shoulder length, normal shaped face, brown eyes, “white” skin, and I wear jeans with any type of T shirt at all.
136- Mine doesn’t beep either. But if I hold down the shift button for 8 seconds, it does!
Sorry if this is rather of the subject. I can’t even remember what a solstice party is! I feel rather stupid, but since I AM brainless, I don’t feel so bad.
148- A solstice party would be a party to celebrate the solstice.
136- My computer does that, too…
136- I tried it, and my cell phone beeped at me (text message).
My gecko is very happy in his new home. We got him two days ago. He is eating well and seems happy. He is a baby one though, so he should grow a lot. Does anyone know how fast leopard geckos grow? Leo doesn’t like to play.
Ok, that post sounded really childish. Weird. I guess it;s because I’ve been writing about a kid and it has crossed over to the MB and other stuff. iam at 14541. Hey, that’s a cool number. Wow, I amd so bored. not that that’s bad. There are only 8 days left of June! My cousins just left, they were 3 and 6 and cute and annoying at the same time, but mostly annoying. My friends Patrick and Matthew are coming here in 5 days. We have so many visitors!
w00t for library computers.
153 – There are a lot of people in the library…..
bye everyone
138-Neither does mine…it just does nothing.
On my dad’s laptop (an IBM thinkpad) it beeps when you press the up, left, and right arrow keys, but not when you press all four.
Man, it feels like summer’s already been going for ages. It’s only been just over a week, but it feels like a month. (For me, anyways)
RE: Beeping Discussion
Mine beeps both on all 4 and all but the down. I have to hold it down for a couple seconds before it goes off.
I just went to a party, and was dragged off an adventure which got my feet very dirty (from walking in the creek). I then realized it was like being Bilbo, only some people thought I was the leader because I’m the oldest.
160- I cannot go to a party without ruining a pair of socks.
Most recent: I went to a bat mitzvah, and at the party they gave out socks for dancing. Soo at one point it got too unbearably hot and I went outside to go talk to Sam and his friend (Joe). And I didn’t put my uncomfortable dress shoes back on and I was walking on grass/pavement/gravel and my socks got dirty and ripped.
Just the other day, I went creek walking and lost my flip-flop in the water! My friend and I were digging through the mucky muddy water that smelled horrible trying to find it, but to no avail. Aside from that, the creek walk was most enjoyable.
Luckily, I had opted not to wear socks, because I didn’t have any that were light enough. So I thought, Well, these shoes rub my heels raw, sure, but how much walking am I going to do? And then I got dragged on the adventure (but it was kind of fun) and when one of the kids decided to walk in the creek, I thought that, since I couldn’t stop her, I should at least go with her.
We were stranded in a restaraunt two nights ago. It was down hill from a busy street, and raining incredibly hard. the entire parking lot was flooded , the worst was almost all the way up a tire. We took a chance and my dad rode in someones elses car to get to our car, opened the door from the other car, and drove by to get us. It was quite fun actually. We met this lady, who offered to drive peoples cars out for $30, and said she wasn’t scared of anything. She had lots of tatoos and told us all about how she used to work in a bar where they had to whack people with poolsticks if they started to fight. Oh, the people you meet.
We need a new Suggestion Box thread.
164- Hey, sounds fun. Once we (my sis, my friend, my friend’s mom, and me) accidentally locked the keys in the car. The first three people we asked knew how to get them out. ‘Twas funny. Makes you think that locking your car isn’t effective as you are led to believe.
165- What’s that?
South Park is hilarious.
I’m back from my shmoozing/relaxing/time off!! Who missed me?
154-w00t! w00t! w00t! Three w00ts for Library Computors!!
164- Wow. Just, wow.
I’m finally ungrounded. I’m also feeling rather ill; have been for the last two days. Headaches. And random swelling of the eyes. I think I may be allergic to something, but I don’t know what it could have been… Perhaps some questionable vegetable fried rice I ate the other day… o_O
So, how is everyone this summer?
Ugh. My Tuna Glop had a dissagrement with my spin-chop-punches. The Tuna Glop won.
Ugh. I left all my favorite CD’s (The Dutchess, Good Girl Gone Bad) at my friend’s house and when I get them back they’ll probably have aged five hundred years.
Ugh. I lost my iPod somewhere in my room.
Who feels like going Emo today? *raises hand*
168-random, but true
171-you go emo, i shoot you. hearts though. sounds like you had a sucky day. :'(
my boss is so annoying…she scheduled too many people again today, so alex called and told her to call me and tell me not to come, and she didn’t. so i went all the way there and had to come right back. Good thing though, i won’t be three hours late for monica’s party now!
My sweet ancient TV starts showing you an ad for itself when you press both the volume buttons at once. It shows you how it has such really cool features like captions and volume and a spiffy screen and the weather channel!
142- Yes. I think it’s Windows. Or laptops. The people it wasn’t working for have macs. I have an IBM thinkpad laptop running Windows XP. It beeps with all four, and the top three.
172-If I go Emo, shooting me won’t do much. *kinda smiles* Sucky day? *scoff* More like sucky year. Don’t worry, I [probably] won’t go Emo. At least for now. Sometimes I feel like it though. I do like black.
I tried to count how many BDay parties I was invited to this year, and I couldn’t find one. I thought I was really social!
My guinea pig died a couple days ago, and I just found out yesterday…we were on vacation…
175-*omish friendship bread and mint jelly* I’m sorry. I remember when my dog died. She was sixteen and had some problem and we had to put her down.
175-6: That’s depressing. This week our septic tank collapsed, so yesterday these guys came with a huge truck, and made an enormous hole, and dug up my cat. I cried…
177-
Ugh. Yawn. *falls asleep on her keyboard* I just spent the entire day:
Chasing horses that didn’t want to be painted
Playing hide-and-seek tag
Roller-skating
and
Blazing a trail through the woods
*yawn* Is it any wonder I’m tired?
So I met this boy today, he’s cool (he was involved in all of the above activities except roller-skating, because he was skate-boarding), though he does like to talk about video games. But yeah, it was a fun day. We quoted LOTR while walking through the woods.
Sadly, now that it is late enough for me to go to bed, I’m no longer tired. But, due to the lack of moderation at the moment, I might as well go make my bed. Ugh. I hate making the top bunk. I might as well procrastinate, or maybe I will write, as a sort of procrastinating excuse.
Good night, Alice. Looks like I just missed you.
As a matter of fact, you didn’t. But I am going now. Good night!
I just made 75 bucks babysitting!!
Those Oregonians sure pay well (they were visiting AZ for a conference).
Well, I’m off to read my Daniel Pinkwater. Or Robert Frost. It depends on my mood, which is currently swinging.
Who feels like killing somebody today? *raises hand* Well, not really, but I am feeling really crabby today…
183-
Wow . . . How long did you babysit?
184-Ouch…that’s not something you wanna wake up to in the morning. “Yaaawn…hm, I think I feel like killing someone.” Eesh.
Hey all! I’m back home now, yay. …then in a few minutes I’m leaving for camp. Ha.
Internet died last night when we came home, and was still dead for most of today. Then dad fixed it and VF came on and wouldn’t let me get a chance untill now, nevermind that she’ll have it all week. Grr. Oh well though. Off to check my favorit threads now, if now one’s written on the RRRs in my absence I shall be annoyed.
187- Ohmygod I’m PSYCHIC! I dreamed that you were back last night, and that you wrote on the fractured fairy tale RRR. Cool.
187-You’re VF’s sister??? I didn’t know that.
188-Weird. I never dream about the blog…
181-Wow, you stayed up untill midnight! Are you awake yet?
188-Neither do I.
Today astronemerixx is 5,000 days old. Just calling the atention of other MBers and the GAPAs to the fact.
(184) Ouch. How come?
(185) 4.5 hours.
(187) have fun at camp!
I’m so BORED. My friend and I want to do something today, we spent like an hour discussing things to do, but virtually all our options are eliminated because it’s so HOT!! I know i complain about the heat a lot, but seriously, it’s oppressive. We want to be outside, but it’s suicide. Plus this place is just boring. There’s nowhere interesting to go that we haven’t already gone to like a million times. Blah.
What do you guys do when you hang out with your friends?
191-I think she lives on the west coast, so that was really 10:00 or so…BUt it was 1:00 in the morning if it was me!
192- I don’t. Well, actually, most of my friends are on MB, but I guess yesterday I hung out with my friends, if you could call them that. We tried to paint the horses, we talked, we took walks.
What colors do you paint your horses?
Light blue. There wasn’t any other color. And we didn’t technically paint them, because they all ran off before we could do much. There are a few hand prints on them, though. We also painted the goats, because my sis was running around with completely blue hands and I said (sarcastically) “Why don’t you paint the goats?” She didn’t say much for a while, and I bent myself to the task of staying out of the way of the stampeding horses, while still helping. Then she said, “I painted the goats!” And they were eating the paint. Oops.
And they aren’t my horses, either. I’ve never even ridden them. But their owners said we could paint them, so we did.
WEEEEEEEEEE! I just got back from this camp thingy at Lake Palisades (if that’s even spelled right…) Anyhoo. I look like a boiled lobster. 8D. It hurts soooooooooooooooooooooo bad.
:idea:TNÖ:idea:
(196) To be fair, you didn’t tell her to paint the outside of the goats.
199- No, I guess not . . . I hope they aren’t dead now.
198- My sympathy. I hate sunburn. But considering we’ve only been able to go swimming once this year, I think I’m fairly safe from it.
Sorry for the 2post.
I HATE Sunburn. Being a redhead I have to be extra careful. It is so annoying. i feel for you.
202-Why? Actually, I think I only know one person with red hair…
Hello.
Haven’t been here in awhile.
Just stopped by to see if anyone I know’s still here.
^_^
I’ve had a crazy spring / beginning of summer.
AP testing, working 24/7…
I graduated a few weeks ago…so yeah, I’m kind of enjoying my post-high-skool life right now.
It’s pretty cool.
I’m in a band now…I’m working on writing / composing a song…
Maybe I’ll post it later.
Well, I’ll try to stop in again soon.
Hope everyone’s having a safe and happy summer, so far!
Hello, one of many names! Stop back by again and tell us all about life after high school. It has its good points, doesn’t it?
Hi!
Hi!
hehe, you painted the goats and horses. that amuses me somehow…
My friends and I went to the lake today. we made a sandcastle and, since it was pretty much a pile of sand, we decided that was boring and put polka dots on it. We swam, talked and I read The Privilege of the Sword by Ellen Kushner.
204- it’s emogrl!!! *hugs welcome back-ing ly* yay! I missed you!
(204) Great to hear from you, Twilight Rain/emogrl! Just this week I thought about you and wondered what you’re up to.
204-EMOGRL!!!! *bows* You should be honored emogurl. Very honored. You were the founder of Beavo the Great’s interest in MuseBlog. If it hadn’t been for your letter to Muse, I would not be here today enhancing this blog with my supreme intellegence. Thank You to the highest extreme of Thankyouness.
177-Those septic tank guys are sooo insensitive.
184-I WANT TO GO TO THE MOON…. SO I CAN KILL PEOPLE! If you havn’t seen that Youtube video go there and look up I’m Not A Phsyco. My friend made it.
189-Once I got sunburn at this lake, and me and my friend had a ‘how big piece of skin can you pull off’ contest. I won cuz mine was the length of my arm. *yuckness*
The founder of my interest in MuseBlog was my bottlefed, now-deceased, runty, bummer lamb, in a very roundabout and confusing way, and aided by my mother. She (the lamb) ruined all my Muses, I decided I needed to get some more, I found the fan page, I saw MuseBlog, I was slightly intrigued, I ignored it because it was – *gasp* – a blog of all things, I read lots of old Muses, I saw the one with the bias-test (I didn’t take it), I mentioned the blog offhandedly to my mother, she went and sought it out and e-mailed me the link, I went on MuseBlog, I posted, I decided I didn’t care for MuseBlog, I came back, and here I am!
(212) And we’re so very pleased you are.
213- Yay! So am I!
183- I have a friend who routinely babysits her cousins (two of them) for three dollars per hour per kid for, like, six hours every other day.
212- Wow. That was pretty… er… hard to follow.
Dunno how I got on here, really… It just sorta happened.
:idea:TNÖ:idea:
204) Hey I know you! :O
212) Ha, it’s weird how things work out huh?
Today I woke up at noon, took a nap at three, woke up again at seven and here I am and almost 11:30. Oh summer is glorious. I’m going to go eat cookies and drink moar root beer.
It’s late, almost one o’ the clock. I’ve been watching Freedom Writers half the night. *yawn* Time for bed.
216- Yeek. If I woke up after ten it would be almost unbearable. I hate getting up late. But yay for root beer!
I’m going to edit my letter to Muse tomorrow. It has my theory of HPBs in it, therefore I hope that the Magazine people will find it much too interesting to throw in the FMP, and will somehow manage to get through my excuses for its new size and my overwhelming requests for articles, and really cut to the core of my letter. But then again, it is the nature of Musers to write long, rambling, barely-lucid letters, isn’t it?
204- You’re back! ^_^ Hello.
217- Best of luck getting it published!
So now I have a job and I start on Thursday… o_O
Also, I’ll be on vacation from 30 June through 5 July. Ack, that’s not good.
I was at a friend’s party yesterday. I started feeling ill near the end. I’m not certain I’m entirely healthy at the moment…
But the party was fun indeed. Except for the part where I got caught on camera being an idiot, but these things happen after you eat half a watermelon… it was watermelon, after all! Mmmmmmmmm……
Also, I need to start applying to colleges. And visiting and stuff. Any suggestions? I would like to do a double major in mathematics and physics, with a minor in chemistry or possibly a language [Latin or Spanish]. Unless wherever I go allows you to do a triple major and get a master’s in one of the subjects… Hmm, I’m confused.
If you want people to cut through to the core of a letter, my experience has been that you have to do it for them. Instead of dazzling the editors with a three-ring circus (which they probably won’t have room to print), I’d focus on what I really wanted to say.
Here’s a radical idea: send both a long version and a short version, and let them take their pick. Editors love it when people do their work for them.
203- redheads generally have paler skin, and are more susceptable(sp?) to burns. I use SPF 55 always.
220-Thank you. My mom was trying to explain that too. And the person I thought had red hair she thinks is just putting something in it or something. I’m so out of the loop with this kinda stuff!
PEOPLE!
I have been brought to an amazing attention, because of a horrible matter: the slaughter of baby harp seals by people in Canadia every year. i have sent letters to the Gapas and the magazine for an article or thread on the subject. We need to bring it to opeople’s attention FAST!
By the way, RtH, are you feeling better? I had mono once upon a time, so I have particular sympathy.
222- Canadia? You mean Canada?
Baby harp seals being slaughtered is really nothing new, there was an article about in National Geographic sometime in the 90s, but it is indeed an awful thing.
I will cut short this post to avoid controversy.
I sent Muse a lovely letter (well, I forget what it said, but it was probably lovely) with a lovelier picture of my friends and I attempting suicide. Why did they not publish it? -grumblegrumble-
It’s okay, I’ll take millions of pictures with me and my Muse (if it comes -continues to grumble) while I’m on vacation and write letters on the back send all of them in separate envelopes so they’ll be so swamped with letters and photographs of me that they’ll have to print at least one.
223-I’m feeling much better from the Mono, but I was feeling so much better I went to the driving range with my dad. After a whole winter of no golf I get a little sore in the neck and shoulders… But thanks for asking!
225-They might not have wanted to endorse suicide attempts… Wait!!! Suicide???
TripleTwo-Yup, it is pretty bad…There are groups working on it, though, and it has been happening for a LONG time. It will be hard to stop…
226 ~ Well, we were actually just jumping off a statue. It was really fun. Maybe I’ll email it to the Gapas…will you guys post it if I do?
228_If your parents say yes…
AHHH!!!!! I wish people would put “SPOILERS” in front of posts to the muse discussion thread…I just clicked on a comment for that thread, and had to leave before I saw anything!
I have been helping rip a bed apart…
I sent that letter to Muse. It wasn’t as long as I thought it was, really. Do they tell you if they’re going to publish your letter, or do you have to wait four months for the next issue?
I was looking on the dates to remember thing and just realized there are two Friday the thirteenth days this year! Only one next year though… It’s in June…
Oh, how I love library computers! I can come on MuseBlog even during vacation!!!
232-Where are you?
In Carmel. At my aunt’s library.
225-Umm… maybe they didn’t exactly want people commiting suicide on the letters page. Wait a minute, you commited suicide? Was it while reading muse?!
204-OMGZSQUEEEEZ the oldest non-GAPA blogger (? is this a post she still holds?) is back!
236- There is someone called groundhog22 who has a little plus sign next to their name on the Who’s Here list.
I have a sore throat. Ouch. I wish I had some honey; it seems like that would help. Oh well. But I sure hope it doesn’t evolve into a summer cold.
237-Ugh, I hate colds. But I’m sure it dosen’t affect your spelling capibility. Can you please spell the longest word in the English language philisomethingorother?
238- Capability. And no, I can’t. And even though it doesn’t affect my spelling capabilities, I’ve been making a lot of typos lately. I just edit them out before I hit submit.
Wait, I think I can. It’s something like pneumosilicovolcanoitis-something-or-other. Never mind. I can spell Supercalifragilisticexpealidocious though. Unless it’s Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
239/240-Word.
241- The computer program? What of it?
242-*rolls eyes* no not the computor program. I mean word like what those rappers say when they don’t wanna cuss.
243- O-kayyyy…
OK, time for a pop quiz. How many of you know Muse Academy’s Latin motto? And what it means in English?
(Don’t reveal the answer, or you’ll spoil it for the others. Just say whether.)
Hang on! I think I have it! Just maybe. Pneumocoultrisilicovalocanoitis. Or something like that. *prepares to be scoffed at by the people who are better at spelling than her*
245- I think I know what it means in English, but only because someone translated (or nearly translated) on an old thread I happened to read. Sadly, I don’t know Latin myself. And I don’t actually know what the motto itself is, without looking it up. Which isn’t hard; it’s on my screen saver.
Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis. As we’ve explained several times on the blog, however, it’s a bogus word. A journalist invented it as a parody of long-winded medical terminology, and it made its way into some dictionaries. I don’t think it should count (even though I wrote a song about it).
248- Yeah, I read that it was fake on an old thread, but it doesn’t stop me from trying to spell it.
I’m supposed to make dinner, but I’m not in the least hungry, and I don’t know if my sis ate or not. So I sit here, procrastinating.
Hey, some of you remember me! ^_^ Sweet! And wow, Beavo, that really makes me feel spesh!
I need to go to the beach again soon. I just got some SPF 70 sunblock – Yes, they actually do make SPF 70 – and it might be my lifesaver (I sunburn in like, 3.5 seconds…) this summer!
Oh yeah, I actually got the June / July issue of Muse today! I thought my subscription had run out or something, b/c I’m pretty sure I missed the last issue. What was it about?
250- A June/July issue?
WordPress error. Huh. Well, I’m going to go drink my tea now.
Hey, E2MB, go back to HT and respond to my post, please.
(204) Hi emogrl! Your’re back! *hugs*. It’s great to have lots of newer people and all but sometimes I miss the old crowd that has sort of moved on. It’s cool to hear that you’ve graduated and are in a band. We’d love to read your song!
(215) Really? Wow, I feel even more fortunate now. I mean, I was thinking they’d pay me like 6 or 7 dollars an hour….but 15 was nice.
(222) Yes I have heard about the baby seals. It is really awful.
(245) Yes, I know what it means.
I’m going to Berkeley tomorrow. Then I’m going to camp the next week. It’s a ranch. We take care of animals there.
When I was a newbie, I didn’t really avoid MB like I thought I did. I just didn’t come on very much. Reading an old books and reading thread, I notice that I came on every few days, but didn’t check up on it a lot.
My house smells like burning plastic. Icky. The window is open and most of the lights are off, but it’s still smelly. I’m not sure how much of my headache comes from the fumes and how much comes from the fact that I’m sick. I wish I knew the source, but the best I can make out it is due to a water balloon being too close to a light bulb. I don’t really feel like I can go to bed until my mom gets home, but she isn’t due back till very late. Ugh. I’ve heard to many stories about people dying from fumes. One woman my mom knows accidentally killed her parakeets when the water in the Teflon pan boiled dry and the pan started to burn. [graphic details that I will spare you from.] Also, during this big storm/power outage like five families were hospitalized because they used their Bar-B-Qs inside. So I’m understandably worried. But my sis won’t let me open all the windows, claiming that it’s nothing and that she’d rather die than be cold, and that two inches is enough for fumes to get out. Ugh. Maybe my mom will be home soon; it’s really late. And I want to sleep.
Wasn’t the last issue about money?
(256) The May/June issue of Muse was indeed mostly about money.
(255) Birds have more efficient breathing machinery than mammals do, with less unused “dead air” in their lungs. That helps them get more oxygen to power their incredible muscles, but it’s dangerous for them when the air is contaminated. That’s why miners used to take canaries into coal mines to test the air for poisonous gas, and it’s why pet birds succumb so quickly to scorched pans and other sources of indoor air pollution.
Humans, being mammals (and big ones), can tolerate more crud in the air, but we still can’t breathe combustion products. Barbecuing indoors with the doors and windows shut is just loony.
Paint Fumes are pretty dangerous. I’d have opened up all the windows and showed my sister a really big baseball bat and smiled crazily.
By the way, being 14 is great.
259- are you 14? I’m almost 14…my friend and I can’t wait! For some reason I think being 14 will be the best age ever.
Multiples of seven tend to be good ages, in my experience.
255-Water balloon, light bulb? I don’t understand…
I’m almost 14. I sure hope it’s better than 13… Didn’t we already have this conversation? Anyhow, there was something about change every seven years, and since it was seven years ago that I started being homeschooled, it will be perfect for me to have seven years of formal education. Ugh.
257- Loony indeed. To their credit, the power was out for a really long time. But I think we just burned candles and listened to my dad’s radio. (He’s an EMT, so his radio tells all about any accidents that were happening. There were surprisingly few.) I read to my sister by flashlight.
262- Melting plastic. Of course, there was no melting plastic on the light bulb. The main suspect was the battery recharger, which had been recharging for a really long time and smelled faintly of burning plastic.
263-Oh, I see…
my friend from MI is coming to stay at my house for two weeks *squeez* happy days! she’s a muser too, but not a blogger. she came by once like a million years ago though.
14 was good. 15’s even better in my opinion, although my reasons for that usually revolve around friends who can drive, because most of my friends are 16. When i was 14, my friends were 15 and wanting to be 16, but i think 15’s a good age.
barbeque inside? Major question mark?
Haha, speaking of punctuation, my keyboard went completely berserk yesterday and started putting in exclamation points. i couldn’t type anything and i couldn’t stop them. this happened while i was talking to hewitt, and so i xed out of that, and it just switched over to sarah’s chat box, so i quit ichat, and it started doing it in the url box. So i logged out, and it stopped with the exclamation points but still wouldn’t let me type anything to log back in. So i shut it down. seems fine now. but it was really weird…
ho hum parade practice starts today. i was looking up my teachers (they’re online by midsummerish) (i got hemmelgarn, yess!) and i was going through and i was like “haha, don’t need to look up band, it’s always schneids! Oh wait…no it’s not…it’s johnson”
*snibble* So it really hasn’t sunk in yet. i keep expecting him to show up on the first day of school and yell “EY! quit talking!”
meh, it’ll probably just be music today. hopefully. because i really don’t want to march around the track fifty bazillion times. (well, i never do…but whatevs)
i need to find my summer uniform too…i need a new shirt because my old one has ink all over it (don’t ask) but i have my shorts somewhere…
I have a scar shaped like a lightning bolt on my forehead. No, seriously. It’s more like a two-pronged lightning bolt than a Harry Potter lightning bolt.
266-
267- It’s amusing, actually, whenever I think about it. I didn’t get it from the ultimate evil wizard, though. I got it from my own stupidity, the very hard cement, and a glass necklace. It was one of two times that I’ve ever been in a hospital. It was during Mercury Retrograde, too…
Wait, is it a scar or a scratch?
I have a scar…Or actually a couple… They are on my left hand, on or near the base of the thumb. They are left from a huge part there that was scratched off when I fell off of my bike. And I can go relatively fast on my bike, so that is why it was so big.
269- A scar. I also have one on my thumb from when I cut myself with my pocket-knife when I was eight. (Now that’s a funny story. My dad gave me a band-aid for my eighth birthday. Then he gave me a pocket-knife.)
I have three scars on my face, two that together make a capital T with the top line shifted to the left, and then there is another that is just a scar. I have had them practically since I was born. I scratched my face up real bad when I was a baby. Oh, and I checked out the Cartoon History of the Universe by Larry Gonick. Should be fun.
268-Your post wasn’t there when I hit submit…I went to a hospital one time when I slipped going over a chain link fence. I landed on the horizontal bar at the the top of it, right on my rib cage. We thought I could have broken a rib or something, and knew that wasn’t good, so we went (not in an ambulance, though). They didn’t actually look at me for about two or three hours after we got there…And from what I’ve heard that wasn’t the longest waiting time there…
Fourth of July is not on the Dates to Remember! I guess if you lived in England it wouldn’t matter…
245-No…
250-Last issue was all about economy and stuff. It has ranked up to my favorite issue.
255-Oh yuck. Once my mom burned her Ham and Eggs and the whole house reeked of…burned Ham and Eggs.
261-No! No No NO! Seven is my unlucky number! *dies of fright*
265-It was the bunnies taking over your computor!!
266-
Soo…I have scars and scratches all over my left arm (although they are mostly fading away now) my longest one has been there for a year! That’s why (and because I love black) people’s first impression of me is Emo.
On the topic of scars I have one on my left leg and over my right eye. I had eye surgery when I was four because I had a sleepy eye/ptosis. Which they over corrected. But in any case, I have leg tissue in my face.
My only interesting scar is a large white check mark on the roof of my mouth, self-inflicted with the aid of a garden trowel when I was a toddler.
276- UM_interesting…
I have a small round indentation on the right side of my nose where I scratched off a spot when I had chicken pox as a baby…
RtH
My right elbow is fast becoming callused – or maybe it’s just being rubbed raw, but it doesn’t hurt – from typing.
recommended book(s) for you all:
+Alosha
+The Shaktra
+The Yanti
fantastic series. my new name is from the second two, actually.
I have a scar on the right side of my head, from somewhere above the edge of my eyebrow into my hairline. Got it from a car crash when I was in preschool. Everyone is always surprised when they see it for whatever stupid reason. It’s not really noticeable, mostly because my hair is usually in the way. But if you’re looking for it or if you know it’s there, it’s hard to miss.
I also have one on my right thigh that I got shaving. I pressed really hard for whatever reason, and the razor snapped in half. The broken half that I still had in my hand went way into the skin at a weird angle. This happened ages and ages ago, but the scar’s still there. Took forever to heal, too. I’m considering telling people I was attacked by a ninja. But I don’t often wear shorts, let alone ones that are high enough to make it visible. Alas.
I also have this dark spot on the back of my left wrist I got trying to make pancakes when I was about four. I’m the only one who notices any more. Skin does not mix well with hot grills… There’s also a small one by one of my veins on that wrist that I got in a freak cucumber-cutting accident. Try explaining to people who already thought you were depressed that it wasn’t a suicide attempt… u_u That’s also barely noticeable now.
There’s a darkish circle on the inside of my right foot from when I went ice-skating for my sister’s birthday this year. It’s still not gone.
My shins are also constantly bruised because I walk into stuff all the time.
280- Wow.
I have numerous small scars on my hands from cats and rabbits, and possibly (I’m not sure if it’s still there – that’s how often I look in my mirror) a scar on my upper lip from a cat.
280-I might not have scars from most of those things (of course not the shaving) but I think in general my skin isn’t perfect at all…I don’t really care, I mean I hope people don’t judge me by my “cover”!
Whoa, the GAPAs moderated post 234……
That may be the closest MBers ever get to knowing my whereabouts.
I have a scar on my left thumb from when I digged, scraped, and tore off a huge wart with my bare fingernails!
I have a scar on my left wrist – it’s triangular and small – from a kickback (when a piece of wood comes hurtling towards you at many miles an hour) accident in woodworking sophomore year. I have one that looks a little like a star (I like that about it) on my forehead, though now no one but me notices. I have two on my left knee, one from triping over the sprinkler and the other from falling on the sidewalk. I think that’s all but I may realize I’ve more after I post this… eh heh…
i have a little scar on my chin from the Big Mistake of the Handlebar Brakes (yes, i pressed the wrong one going down a hill and flew over the bike. Didn’t help that i was turning at the time so it also slid out from under me off to the side. landed right on my chin first)
285- to prevent that sort of incident, I always press both brakes at once…
Oh gosh, I have tons of little scars…a result of my perpetual klutziness. And I scar really easily, too, so that doesn’t really help…I mean, I have scars on my feet from blisters I had three years ago! And then my right knee is pretty much one huge scar…due to a rollerblading accident in sixth grade. Yeah, I’m klutzy like that.
I like how dial-up-friendly this place is…This must be the only site I visit where my comp doesn’t lose connection w/ the server. *Laughs*
I have a scar on my wrist where a monkey bit me at a Monkey Temple in Indonesia. Or was it Malaysia? I think Indonesia. Believe it or not, that’s all. I’m not accident prone at all. I fell of a bike, once. And I landed in the grass.
I repeat. 14 is great. Looking forward to fifteen. Not looking forward to babysitting.
288-you have dial-up? sooo sorry *sends virtual high-speed choklit*
286-that incident left me always able to remember which brake to press. and if i pressed both at once on the bike i have now, it would do the same thing because the main brake is seriously messed up (i can make it squeak though, which is useful if i’m about to crash into some poor pedestrian crossing the street. but on those occasions, yelling is usually more effective…)
haha, megan’s bike stops like right away (she has a nice bike…most bikes around here are in various stages of degeneration into POS from constant riding) so were were riding to…i think we were riding to jeffrey at that point, or maybe sarah’s house…no it was sarah’s, ok we were riding to sarah’s and megan’s in the lead and i’m right behind her (we’re on main, so we’re going single file on the sidewalk) and she drops her phone and stops really suddenly to pick it up. of course i crash into her but i manage to get sort of off the bike without it completely falling on me (i’m quite skilled at jumping off of bikes actually. it’s one reason i never fall) but i was wearing flip-flops, and one of them broke as i scraped my toes against the sidewalk. i scraped a good bit of the skin off right where the toenails join on the last three of my toes. so we had to wait for the bleeding to slow down a bit and then i rode all the way to north where sarah’s is (across snipville) pedaling with one foot bare and bloody. i’m sure it was an interesting sight for the various cars and walkers we saw. i got a lot of funny looks :D. anyway, sarah then gave me band-aids and lent me flip-flops (which i then got all muddy over by the creek (into which, oh the irony, megan dropped her phone, resulting in it’s death. it was a nice one too, a white choklit)
anyhoo, that’s an injury story. oh, and then as soon as that was healed, at monica’s party i was pulling a chair forward to sit in, and lifted the leg up a little and dropped it on my foot without realizing it…and then sat down in the chair. And then jumped right back up screaming obscenities. It was actually pretty funny. it left a bruise and a circle of what are now scabs.
so that’s my poor foot…
I still have a birhtmark on my left side that the doctores told us would go away by the time I was 4. I am 13, and it is still there. Faintly, but still discernable.
fine, don’t respond to my comment.
293 – Um, are you new?
288-Ewww…*shun da dialup*
285: THAT CAN ACTUALLY HAPPEN??!
Ack! I thought that was just an urban legend… geez I gotta start using the back brake. Except it squeals really embarrassingly.
293: What’s your old name?
Anyway… scars. Hm. Well, my knees are pretty beat up. And my hand has a writing bump and some ice-cream-scooping bumps.
I have a V-shaped scar on my wrist from playing with a broken Frisbee. It shattered when I caught it and a slice went in my wirst. I learned later you’re supposed to leave in that sort of thing until… something. But what was I supposed to do? I pulled it out right away, and then freaked at the possibility that I might have missed a piece.
There’s also a scar on the bridge of my nose from hitting the bottom of a cement pool, twice. And one on the back of my hand from when I was three, crawling on our brand new driveway. We finally got a concrete one poured, and the first thing I do is hurt myself.
My ankle has a scar from the summer I had these clunky sandals I wore everywhere, and I kept scraping myself when I walked. Why didn’t I just stop wearing the sandals… ?
I guess that’s it. More noticable is my birthmark… It’s red and stretches from my right hand to my shoulder. I don’t like it very much but I don’t think it’s worth removing. Not to mention how painful that would be.
Nemi is SuperSayijin424.
Re: dial-up. I’m so lucky to have DSL. Of course, it crashes whenever it feels like it, but I do have a fast connection.
$%$GSRBSFNBAN^UJADN I HAVE OVER 1000 PICTURES IN MY GAZETTE FOLDER dkjscnhadkv clearly this is because they’re so cool. Oh man. This is a prime example of why I couldn’t survive on dial up. Picspamming myself would take too long.
299- Is that good for your keyboard?
the new band director is sneaky-hard! you work so hard without even realizing you’re working at all until you stop and realize you’re about to fall over.
anyhoo, he’s pretty good. he hasn’t really changed much around. he did threaten the whistle, but so far he hasn’t used it, he’s just yelled “Yo!” at us. It’s nothing to schneids’ “EY!” but it works.
oh and he keeps inadvertently bringing up band inside jokes without realizing why we’re laughing. he’ll use a perfectly innocent phrase like “they’ll follow the drums like sheep” and not know why we’re all cracking up. which isn’t his fault, but it’s kind of funny because he’s done it three or four times now.
OH and he’s letting us go paintballing for one of our activities! (after band camp we do fun activity bonding type things, like going to the drexel or the pool or whatever…he’s taking us paintballing squee!)
he was really bad at pronouncing names. like moscardino was “moe-scardino” and hewitt was like “h…ewITT?”
Funniest part, hermann (who was most likely high) was being really stupid, so at one point he was like “by the way” and hermann yells “BTW!” so he was like “lol” and hermann did another acronym, forget which, and he was like “rotfl” and it was REEEEALLY funny
300- I srsly doubt it’s doing any lasting damage. Me and my laptop have a close bond. I KNOW WHEN IT’S HURTING and such. -pets-
302- Really? Wow. *looks down at her laptop* I take good care of it, but I don’t think that I have a bond with it.
All my friends are pummeling me asking if I have checked out the new Hannah Montana CD. And just because an obsessed fan gave me one for my birthday!
My laptop likes me. We have a very close bond. Then again, maybe it’s because I put my initials on the bottom of it… My laptop is my favorite laptop. All other laptops must bow down.
I wish I had a laptop…
I got my laptop for Xmas, to do my writing on. Hurrah!
My mom thinks I look like Harry Potter. I don’t.
307- Well, what do you look like? And what Harry Potter? The movie one, or the book one. Anyone could look like the book one, so long as they were small and thin, and had glasses, wild black hair, and green eyes.
My brother looked almost exactly like Harry Potter in the first Harry Potter movie…people used to tease him about that…
hey does anayone play dance dance revolution, i know this is random but do you know the minimum amount of stuff i would have to buy to play it? i dont have a game system or anything but i really want it because its fun and i desparatly need a way to exercise that isnt boring
310- you need at least one game, a dance pad, and a Ps2..pretty expensive stuff. it’s also better to play with someone (much funner)
304- poor you..not everyone likes Hanna Montana…(i personally, really dislike her) what music do you like?
Hey guys! Sorry I’ve been gone for about a week. How is everybody? I feel strangely happy today!
hey guys guess what im typing this from my windows 98 laptop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I kind of look like Harry Potter with glasses on…
Sorry for the 2post.
311-She’s actually not terribly horrible. There are only about four songs I like from her though. FOUR. That’s not really good.
I like Hip-Hop, Rap, Pop, R&B, Urban, and Alternatives which are basically all alternates of eachother. And classical.
310- Actually, there was a brief argument between me and Fire_Falcon22 as to whether I even knew what it was. I do, though, but I’ve never played it.
310 – I don’t know, but I have played that game before at a youth group party and it is a great way to get exercise and play a video game at the same time.
There was a 2.4 magnitude earthquake last night at my house. (California really does have lots of earthquakes.)
You want to know what happens when you read two posts at once? This is what I thought E2MB said: “There was a 2.4 magnitude earthquake last night and it is a great way to get exercise and play a video game at the same time.”
318. How many earthquakes have you lived through? What was the biggest? Are you scared when they happen? Or are you used to them by now? Sorry about all the questions
318-! Was it scary?
319-Hmm… lets see what this does….
like Hip-Hop, Rap, Pop, R&B, Urban, and Alternative but I’ve never played a video game at the same time as a 2.4 magnitude earthquake.! FUNFUN
320 – Earthquakes happen about once every two months. Most of them are very minor – a 2.4 earthquake can barely be felt. The biggest one that’s happened where I live was a 4.2 earthquake which happened several months ago, but even one that big can’t really do more than jiggle the furniture a tiny bit.
322-Oh… so it was pretty boring…
323 – Yea…fortunantly. I wouldn’t like it if my house kept collapsing 6 times a year.
Rosanne and I were 10 miles from the epicenter of a 6.9-magnitude earthquake in 1989. It was quite a ride.
325 – The one that happened during the World Series?
324-No, that would not be nice. If there was an earthquake here, I would like some action though, maybe some of those really ugly paintings falling off the walls…
Wow! Was it the one in Los Angeles?
(326) Yes.
(328) No.
329. I just wached a program on TV about that earthquake. Where were you?
329- Tookie Williams was in jail when that hit. He said that he had never been more scared in his life.
329-Ack! Mom was near the earthquake (I forget how near) when the world series was playing… she said it was really freaky with things falling off walls and such.
I heard there’s a 60% chance a major earthquake will rock San Francisco in just 30 years.
333-We will, we will, ROCK YOU! Sorry, I just had to do that. And plus, there’s a 60% chance that aliens have made contact with Earth. But that dosn’t mean it happned.
Part 4, por favor…haha! It rhymes!
Anyhoo (which I never say), I have rehearsal tonight!!! Yay…I’m supposed to be working on a program cover, which I suppose I’ll go do…tell you if I win…ciao!
335-Good luck!
335-Good luck getting a part four. The GAPAs made a new rule: only three random threads per month no matter what!
188- Ah, shweet. What did I look like in the dream?
189- Yup. She doesn’t really come on anymore though.
204- Hey emogrl!! I havn’t seen you around for a while! You should post your songs on the poems/songs thread
245- Yes!
Yes, I am back. Skimmed through a lot of thi thread, read a lot too. Hockey camp was fun, I got to know L better, which is good since she’s going to be on our team next year.
Me, Her, B, J, and A were playing with one of those 20 question thngs and did ’tile (like a floor tile),’ and when it asked ‘Is it flat?” We all said “Yes,” except for A, who after we’re like, “yeah, it’s flat, no question” shouted out “No it’s not! It has depth!!” Then we had a big argument about how it’s talking about the surface of the tile, and with that logic nothing is flat and the question is void. But she does it more than we all noticed before, arguing the technicalities a lot. I’m also stealing a new phrase rom L, “Don’t judge me,” which she says when we make fun of her (not in the mean way).
Also, I learned how to play egyptian ratscrew, which turned into the most intence card game ever this week. We pretty much had wrestling matches over who slapped a double/sandwhich first, and many injuries. Very, very fun though.
Anyway, off to the other threads.
338-JADESTONE!!!! *dies of irony* I was just mentioning you on your hidden thread, and now you…appear… *is dead*
338- Well, I didn’t really dream that I saw you, I just dreamed that you posted.
Hello guys! Sorry I’ve been missing all this time. I was…uhm…kidnapped by rampaging elephants-wolf-man hybrids and held for a $4.89 ransom! Yeah. And I definitely didn’t forget about the blog in almost every way, shape, or form! Yup.
335 – From now on, the GAPAs said they will only create 3 new random threads a month. No exceptions.
Am I the only one on MB right now? *drums fingers on desk*
So, anywho, I just found out something REAL COOL!!
A family friend, Leah Libresco, was accepted as a Presidential Scholar, which meant that she had the (perhaps dubious) honor of shaking the hand of George W. himself and reciveing a scholarship from him.
During the day in which the scholars had time to socialize, Leah and another high school student drafted a note to the persident, urging him to stop the U.S.’s use of torture, among other things. They got 48 other scholars to sign it and handed it to the Prez during a photo op. He read the note and calmly responded that America did not use torture.
Then he “released a group of large bloodthirsty hounds upon the students, canceled the Presidential Scholarship program, and banned High schools”, according to some blog which I forget the name of.
My friend’s famous, and I am proud of what she did.
Go Leah!
343- America uses torture? Huzzah. *sigh* Another thing to add to our list of crimes. Well, go Leah!
Well, I’m back, but only for right now….vacation, and SF to pull an all-dayer ^_^
Hello all and Faretheewell all.
I started work today. It was disgusting beyond all belief, and I’m quite displeased with the people who package the meat in this grocery store. I shouldn’t speak ill of my place of employement and all, so I’m getting it out anonymously online. Some evil lady bought VEAL patties. I barely refrained from screaming “sadist” at her. Ugh. And the stupid meats were leaking every once and a while. Ick! I was twitching, and washed my hands for 3538731hours [hyperbole!] after I got off. Ugh, why do people eat some of this stuff. Even some of the packaged garbage. I was like “eew, you’re going to put this into your body?!?”
I’m wondering how long this is going to last. If I weren’t a naturally quiet and rather tolerant person, I’d have been fired by now…
I think that Rosanne or Rebecca must be moderating right now…Or if Robert is, he must be on his laptop…I don’t think Paul would be at this hour.
Was I right?
Perhaps. There’s no way to know
348-I think Rebecca…she made the new HTML thread!
345- Some of the stuff people eat is absolutely VILE. Like . . . well, I won’t name anything, since it may turn out to be someone’s favorite food. And I think that I’ve been rather prejudiced against veal since I learned what it was. I eat lamb though. But not little lamb. Yearling lamb. That came from our farm. But that goes on the veggy thread.
Sweet Melpomene, you must be MAD. You’re not seriously going to try to finish SF in two days, when you don’t even have 3000 words? Or are you?
343-*chokescoff* You think shaking George W. Bush’s hand is a *chokescoff* HONOR???
352- He said it was a dubious honor. And if you could shake one person’s hand, what would it be?
343 ~ That’s quite spiffy! Good for her!
353-I dunno, Robyn Fenty? Jacky Chan? Ben Vareen? Nicholas Cage?
355- Who are those people? Besides Nicholas Cage, I mean.
356-
Robyn Fenty=Rihanna
Jacky Chan=John Wayne from Shanghi Nights/Noon
Ben Vareen=Lead Player in Pippen
Or people I admire. A lot.
I would shake the hand of the best person I know-me!
3- I hated CTY. I’m average, smart, but there was something oppressive about the place. I got sent to the Principal’s office every day and dropped out after 4 days.
(357) I saw Ben Vereen in the original Broadway production of Pippin when I was younger than some MuseBloggers are now. He was great — magnetic and dynamic.
357-
Sorry, it means nothing to me. I’m so uneducated when it comes to pop culture.
Pippin? Like the hobbit? Pippin wasn’t that smart. He had, as it is known in my family, “Dead Raccoon Syndrome”, which basically means that you don’t learn from your mistakes. But he was funny (sometimes, but sometimes it was just painful), and good for the plot. In the movie his roll was greatly expanded, and he was even more of an idiot than in the book.
(361) The Pippin in the musical isn’t Peregrin Took the hobbit. He’s the similarly inept but sympathetic son of Charlemagne.
362- Oh, I see. I didn’t think he was the hobbit, but it seemed a good opportunity.
360-I have the DVD, because I played Theo in a high school production when I was in fourth grade. The thing I like about him is he’s so rythmic and yes, dynamic. The production (as is usual with Bob Fosse) was a bit…gross… but it was still pwnsome.
My sister hath ate half a cube of butter today,
My sister hath ate half a cube of butter today–
Oh hello Your Majesty. What was I singing? Well I was saying that my sister has…er….spun half a skein of yarn today!
If you don’t know the rest of this story, take pity on yourself and go get a book of old fairy tales. (So originally it was pies. What’s the difference? She really did eat half a cube of butter, too.)
I have a Pippin T-shirt! Pippin is a good musical. Our local JCC put on a production of it last year that I helped out with.
Argh. My sore throat evolved into a cold, then it seemed to go away, and now it’s become a cough.
367 – I hope you get better! *sends chokolit* ☻
There’s a blue moon in 2 days! ☺☺☺
Blue moons only happen once every 2 1/2 years, you know! ☻☻☻
350- Zurg, I know… Well, at least you’re nice to your lambs…
351- Heehee, madness? This is Script Frenzy! Besides, I just haven’t updated. I only need to do about 4k today and tomorrow. ^_^
369- Do you mean an actual blue moon or the second full moon in a month? A second full moon in a month is not a blue moon. And there was one in May. A second full moon in may, that is.
368/9-
Well, the mono symptoms have come back, and my head HURTS. Like so bad I can’t brush my hair without squinting in pain.
Ow. Don’t brush your hair.
I feel like changing my name….any ideas?
374- The Raven of the Hawk? It has a nice ring to it.
367 ~ My sister has the exact same thing. Although I think she’s finally getting better.
Yeah…I kinda like this idea…
We played Settlers of Catan last night. My dad won as usual. Maybe I should stop focusing on Longest Road and build lots of settlements which I can then turn into cities. Maybe we should randomize the board. But I did get Longest Road, because it was physically impossible for my dad to get any further, having been boxed in by my mother and I.
Has anyone else ever had the urge to use the board as a setting for a book?
378-
379- It’s a board game, in which you trade and build and stuff. It’s fun.
We have a new prime minister. How do you feel about that? Anyone? Was Blair good? Will Brown be better? Does he deserve the job?
I’m making a ball dress out of random bits and pieces tommorrow.
381- Sorry, I don’t know a thing about politics.
But it’s cool that you’re making a ball dress. Are you going to go to a ball?
I have a couple dresses that I want to wear but never have, because I haven’t a ball to go to.
367-Sorry! *sends choklit*
381-I don’t know why, I don’t like any of the last two British Prime Ministers (Thatcher and Blair)… *hopes for Brown*
Cinnamon Moon (381): what do you think?
(383) About British Prime Ministers: you missed one. John Major came between Margaret Thatcher and Tony Blair.
Good day, everyone! I must go to clean the kitchen! Fare thee well!
385-*nods stupidly* Yeah, him too. I just didn’t like Thatcher and Blair. *read books about them*
You know the lists of Generations? (First MongomeryGurl made one, then Purple Panda.) I’ve been thinking that I will update it sometime, because I just don’t have enough to do. (Sarcasm.)
If I do, will the GAPAs make a thread for it?
Sorry it’s a double post.
381- they’re all politions, which is a bad quality in my book.
Sure, Alice, we’d make a thread if you do a new Generations list.
391- how nice of you!
Was that the oldest son of Charlemagne, Pippin the hunchback? The other day my brother and I spent hours figuring who should be the modern Holy Roman Emperor. We tried to go through direct succesion (father to son) and only had to go through about two daughters, and a couple nephews, but all were blood decendents of Charlemagne. We were kind of worried when we got all the way to the 1790’s, and all our French canidates were being guillotined, but we eventually found a Spainish family, and it turns out that the King of Spain is a decendent, along with another man-I think he was Louis Alphonse, Duke of Anjou.
391 – How very nice indeed. ☺☺☺
391- Thanks! I’m working on it. But I’m not very far along…
Hello. The Sage is Back (at least for now)
Anyway. People are obbsessing(sp?) about my Bat mitvah. Bleh.
Anyway…..oh never mind. *wanders off*
Otzi is in such a good mood that she does not even mind her broken keyboard or the fact that not one, but two annoying Canadian cousins are now in her house and how no signs of leaving anytime soon. Ah well. I’m still in a good mood.
396- It only has one b. I think.
*eyes are glazed over* I’m in the G’s, and I’ve been working steadily for ages, with only of couple breaks to clean the kitchen.
397- That’s good.
If I had some alfalfa pellets I would go out with the sheep and work on a birthday, present, but I don’t, so I can’t put them in when I am done. The alternative is to lock myself in my dad’s office and take the key, so that I can work on the present in peace. And that’s probably what I’ll do.
Oh my poor eyes.
I’m slightly trapped. I took my sister’s present into the office and locked the door, (with the key on the inside, naturally) and my sister learnt that I was makng her present in the office. So I can’t work on it, or shell peep through the window, and I can’t leave, because she’ll see the bag in which I carry the present and draw her own conclusions.
Drat.
We need a pictures thread. So Musers can post pictures of themselves and stuffits.
GAPAs, what’s the e-mail address to send pictures?
399- Tape wraping paper over the windo so she can’t see in.
I actiually thought Blair was s wonderful prime minister. I can’t speak for Ms. Thatcher though because I know nothing of her.
I doubt anybody cares but If I could I would shake Edith Whartons and Fredrick Douglass’ and lisa Lings hands.I admire all of them a lot.
I would shake hands with E. Nesbit. (Who is dead.) Or Arthur Ransome. (Also dead. But he was related to Glassboro, did you know?) Or Dido Twite. (Fictional.) Sigh…
But when it comes down to that, what good would shaking hands be? I mean, just shake their hand and then leave?
“Hello, Mrs Nesbit.”
“Hello.”
(we shake hands)
“Well, ‘bye, Mrs Nesbit!”
“Good-bye! It was nice meeting you.”
Pointless. Have tea with them, maybe. (Actually, I would jump at the chance to have tea with E. Nesbit or Arthur Ransome. Or Dido, for that matter.)
Who is Glassboro, anyway? (Besides the MuseBlogger, I mean.)
405- I mean the MuseBlogger.
406 – Then how did you know Arthur Ransome was related to Glassboro the MBer?
384- Well, nothing’s changing, so I’m not bothered.
384- Well, nothing’s changing, so I’m not bothered.
But Brown is a bit more boring than Blair.
382- Yes! i am! Squee! It is really our churches disco, but they called it a ball, so I’m for it.
396- Ugh, too much attention?
I’m leaving for vacation at three. I’m completely miserable. My dad’s all “if you’re unpleasant, you won’t have a computer for anything until you move out for college.”
No matter what, he’ll interpret every zarking thing I do as unpleasant. So if I don’t come back until I can find someone else’s computer, you know what happened.
Excuse me as I wallow in depression and try to finish SF [over halfway there, c’mon!] before we leave. And also go kill myself. *wanders away, muttering*
407- He (Glassboro) told me.
409- *sighs longingly* You’re lucky to get to go to a ball. Even if it’s a disco. (Though I don’t think I’d want to go to a disco, actually. The music makes a world of difference.)
380- Ah. Thanks of the explanation.
396 – Well, I hope your bat mitzva goes well!
410 – What’s SF?
412- Was that sarcasm? Or are you actually serious?
I can hardly talk, for some strange reason. It comes out all hoarse and whispery. That’s why I like typing. No one need ever know.
It’s hard, though, when someone asks me a question. I try to avoid speech.
I am in the Ps on that list. I should be done by tomorrow at the latest. I like making lists. Staring at the computer screen for hours on end is a downside, though.
See, you are lucky to have parents who let you sit at the computer for hours on end. I am required to stay outside for at least and hour a day. But we have a recently redone pool, so it’s OK. My computer is being screwy though and saying things like ERROR and then closing whatever I’m doing. Anyway, I am going to Busch Gardens again tomorrow to FINALLY ride the Griffin.
414- Hey, i was serious!
WHAT’S SF?????
Actually, I think the bunny in the picture is undergoing some horrible purplish (sunburn/skin disease/acne) and is venting poison air from everypore in its body. But then that’s just me…
Did anyone notice the “recent posts” sidebar? At the moment, I have about half of them! score
(I’m hoping this shows up on the sidebar too)
GAPAs, we need a thread for next National Peach Ice Cream Day (May 19th!!!).
Plz???
Script Frenzy is SF
4th of July is not on the list! Please put it on the calendar!
419-Probably because you did five posts in just 11 minutes on this thread alone!!!
ARG I knew I wanted to say something else in that post!!!
400-Great idea!!! Can we, GAPAs??? OH and Beavo- gapa @ musefanpage .com w/out spaces, right?
378: Oh my gosh! How freaky! My friend just introduced me to that game last night, and I loved it! I think I’m going to start playing it online at AsoBrain.
425: I forgot to mention the edition my friend has is entirely in German. She had to translate for the rest of us.
Hey Robert, I saw some guy who looked like you today. C’ept then he took his dark glasses off, an’ he didn’t look like you anymore.
I sent a comic…
428-To the GAPAs? *Looks forward to it*
I just went down to the dock and dangled my feet in the water and watched people swim and ate ice cream. Ah, lovely. It was huckleberry ice cream, but there wasn’t much of that so the girl put some chocolate on the top of it. Two flavors for the price of one! Yum…
Good Glory!!! 430 comments?!?!?!?! You people are CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whatever…:shocked:
My dog is having a fight with a raccoon right outside our door. Such is life in the country. He’s chased it up a wooden pole and is barking at it. He won’t respond to our calls, either.
Never happened in daylight before. I’ve never seen a raccoon in daylight, either.
My sister, of course, is rooting for the raccoon. Though as soon as I typed that, she switched sides.
Anyhow, I sent the Generation List. It’s loooong. As long as or longer than the Who’s Here page, since everyone is on it.
Don’t ask why I signed my name, I’m just in habit of doing that. So yeah…
434 – Um…..congratz! Cool! Lots of people wished you a very happy birthday. I reccomend you visit the May 2007 happy birthday thread.
THERE’S A BLUE MOON OUTSIDE YOUR WINDOW RIGHT NOW PEOPLES!!!! AND IT’S ONLY GOING TO BE THERE FOR ANOTHER 80 MINUTES!!!!!!!!!
Why, it’s almost July!
*wonders what the name of the July random thread will be*
*hopes it’s July Jam*
Blue moons in 30-day months are extremely rare. You might want to take a peek at one!
Oh good, some moderation. For a second there, I thought the GAPAs had all gone to bed and that I was the only one left!
The only thing rarer than blue moons in 30-day months is blue moons in February, because they never happen.
434- It’s not a series, it’s a trilogy! ^_^
