I recomend:

3 not sleeping. it makes me giddy.
4 Scary-go-round
5 adapting to low fluid intake. I drink ,like, never…..
6 eating at odd times. it’s more fun than eating when everyone else does.
7 MUSEBLOG….. actualy i don’t. it adicts you after one post (like cocain [?])
6- Not exactly like cocaine. More like smoking, because the addiction can be broken. (I went cold turkey for a week, and could have gone longer if I knew it was doing me lasting damage.)
I highly recommend hanging out on the Ask The Gapas thread. It’s nice to gain some insight into the Unseene Poweres That Governe Thy Movementes Whilst Thou Art On This Webbe Logge.
I second the recommendation to read The Dark is Rising. Actually, start with Over Sea, Under Stone, which is the first book in the series. And the movie coming out next week (actually called The Seeker) is nothing like the book from what I’ve heard.
Get 8 hours of sleep a night.
Do your homework before MuseBlogging.
Be on time to marching band practices.
Don’t obsess over little things.
Try to keep one or two things from taking over you life and/or thoughts.
Nah, it just sounded like that. I often say things and then realize that they could be interpreted differently…. I usually end up turning an unattractive red and trying to explain what I really meant to say.
I also recommend climbing trees. All the time, it’s great fun.
Canix, that’s what I kind of thought too, and I had, like, a panic attack (Well, okay, not really)… But then I figured it out. And I do things like that all the time.
I recommend sleeping. And actually doing your homework sometime before 10. *Maniacal laughter*
I recommend the type of potato peeler with a horizontal, self-levelling blade. It’s a very simple and cheap invention, but it works amazingly well. It’s revolutionised my peeling technique.
Yes, I know, I should get out more.
OK, I’m taking a day off tomorrow to go sailing on Lake Windermere. How’s that?
26-You should have gone to the latest kokonvention!
Strange for me to be posting in the middle of the day, but my mom is making lunch and I didn’t know if there would be time to come on this evening, so…
7-I understood you before you had to explain! A little bit ago I was away from MBlog for a little over a week. But becuase 8th grade now takes so much time! Harg! They cannot tear me from the blog again!!
P.S.-Lunch was ready before I could post this and then I had to do Algebra first, so this is getting in later than I thought.
24-i second that. being lazy, while putting you in a perpetually good mood (ok, punctuated by moments of random panic, true), is not the way to be successful. unless of course, you don’t care if you’re successful. now me, i’ve already got my box picked out.
What do you meen abour Over Sea, Under Stone? I know it’s not the best book in the world but your way over doing it. I liked it. I like The Dark is Rising better. If you like thatsort of stuff I sugjust the Lord of the Rings books.
Watership Down is a classic. The mystery of Edwin Drood by Dickens. He died while writing it, so it’s a real mystery .
Hyazaki Films(spelling?)
30- looks beautiful and green :^)
37-i recommend skyclad, because then maybe somebody will buy a cd and send it to poor ebeth (yes, ebeth is aware that she is a dirty freeloader, the type of person that music companies love to hate :D)
ebeth would second the recommendation on macs. She would also recommend webcomics, such as xkcd, QC, scary go round, sam and fuzzy, ctrl-alt-del, sheldon, wigu, etc
46- I had a lovely conversation about my eccentricity (is that a word?) in Frosh Trans today. The girl next to me and the boy whom I was talking to were both laughing. I took it as a compliment.
Oh, in that vein, I recommend taking everything as a compliment, if it is at all possible. If you do that, then after a while anyone who would want to be rude to youwill just give up.
34. Oh yeah? Well i recommend Jones brand soda. It too comes in glass bottles.
I very highly do NOT recommend macs. I prefer to call them craptops (in the case of their miserable excuses for laptops) or white trash (since white is a pretty common color for them.)
46. I whole-heartedly agree. Normal people are boring.
I’m not sure whether Dr. Hopper coined that saying, but it certainly typified her philosophy of life.
I met her several times when she worked for my father at the Pentagon, and once chauffered her around when she gave a talk at my college. An unforgettable character.
Oh, recommendations: Uniball Vision and Vision Elite pens.
44, 49, 52, 55-No. macs are better. PC’s are only better for gaming and filesharing. And yes, linux is amazingly flamablamablous. Windows is just a no.
WHOA. I speak a little french… i am teaching myself by watching Harry Potter/Star Wars/ POTC/LOTR in French w. English subtitles. It’s wicked fun. So, i reccomend watching movies in French w. da english subtitles. Isn’t Umbridge such a DIRP???
i reccomend being weird.
also…SMILE! it confuses people.
i speak french. and i don’t know enough about macs to make any judgements.
i also recomend not sleeping in school. it disorients you(trust me, i fell asleep in study and felt weird the rest of the day)
Elizabeth, how’s Bella? or Luxa, or Arwen? or Hermione? or Max? Angel? five-five dash- one oh nine slash one oh five three six? Leia? if u don’t like these names, lemme know. I’ve got millions.
Vendavel, i saw a sixty minutes expose on those laptops. They rock. Im getting one wicked soon.
The Rough Guide to Climate Change. Thorough and readable. Described and reviewed at www. amazon. com/Rough-Guide-Climate-Change-Reference/dp/1843537117 .
62: This has happened to me (disorientation after sleeping in school). I can’t say it deterred me too much from sleeping, but it’s an amusing little story in my opinion, so i will tell it.
I was in chemistry. Not really the type of class that it’s easy to sleep in and not miss anything. So i fell asleep and when i woke up the teacher was talking. I didn’t hear the beginning of her sentence; all i heard was “…whenever a child goes to the bathroom.” What? How did we get from states of matter to children’s bathroom habits? After she finishes saying this, the entire class exclaims “EWWWW!!!” of one accord. Clearly, i had missed some disgusting fact. Fine by me. However, immediately after this, she passes around a strange clear gel in a beaker, casually remarking to wash our hands if we touch it. Needless to say, i didn’t touch it. I still have no idea what it was or what the heck she was saying. So kids, get eight hours of sleep, drink your milk, and eat your broccoli, or you might end up with an unknown bathroom-related substance in your hands. To counter-act that randomness, i shall make a recommendation. Watch Wired Science if your PBS station shows it. It’s awesome. Except the hosts are eye-rollingly cheesy.
I recommend seeing The Importance of Being Earnest. I also recommend going on a road trip with seven other highschoolers and a bus driver in a minibus. It’s much fun.
Put stickers on your journels/folders/biinders relating to the class you’re in. I’ve got xkcd ones on mine, my chem teacher actually was laughing at the “STAND BACK, I’m going to try science” one (even though he spends most of class braging about his kids and telling us we’re never be as smart as them).
Skip. Randomly. Through a hallway after school or across a parking lot or on the side of a road. It’s quite fun, and you can sort out what kind of people might be nice to get to know better based on who gives odd looks, ignores you, or laughs good-naturedly.
68- correction: Birdhouse In Your Soul is always great.
74- I’ve done both of those at separate unrelated times, and I can confirm both. Any somewhat big group of intelligent people in your grade who you are forced with for most of the day gets interesting and potentially fun.
76- Yes. I haven’t done things to my binders yet, I should. I’ve started writing random song lyrics on my science binder, though. And I still have last year’s Calvin and Hobbes with the concert band stuff.
Skipping’s also good in gym if they make you jog places. [I need to see Harry Potter 5 sometime, don’t I?]
80- I want too!!! I want to go to Vancover, Toronto, Ottawa (de Lint lives there and plays at a coffee shop on thursdays), Montreal… anywhere. yeah.
76- I’m constantly skipping places and I’ve got two different skipping buddies! yay for skipping places!
Ooh cool xkcd stickers! I’m going to give my chem teacher the snapple comic. I would have given it to Ms. K but L already did so I’ll give it to Mr. L instead.
I recommend giving crayons to people. Bring a large box to school and hand them out. You’ll be surprised at how positive a response this gets. People, it turns out, are, for the most part , still 6 years old at heart.
Also, choose one person you don’t know that well, but think seems cool. They need to have a really good sense of humor. Give them a pineapple. Completely out of the blue. Yes, I did do this. It worked out really well, actually. We’re pretty good friends now.
I recommend getting lost. I tried to walk home from school once ( I do not live in an are where it is possible to walk to anywhere from anywhere else). I cut across a golf course, a residential area and several dry riverbeds before hitting the major road that’s about a half mile south of my house. I was standing at the intersection and my biology teacher drove up and asked me if I wanted a ride. I took it. I don’t think she knew what to think. I got home several hours late, but still in time for my piano lesson. It was fun.
87- Until yesterday I was thinking that getting lost would be fun. And it probably would be. But not if it’s late, getting dark, you want to be somewhere by six, and you just hbad an extremely long day.
85- I like your advice. Especially the pineapple one. I know a lot of people who I’m not that close of friends with but would like to be closer to/know better. and hooray for crayons!
The pineapple thing might be cool, but the crayons would freak me out and in all honestly it’s exactly that sort of thing that makes me nervous around people. It scares me when people decide to like me for no reason.
pineapples and crayons and skipping…hmmm. and i thought my friends were wierd. the crayon idea sounds coold though. along with the decorating your school books.
i reccomend learning. its helpful. also, being pwnsome at gold wouldn’t hurt either. my brother is on the schools golf team, and he’s pwnsome. we jsut played contsests in the yard and he kcked my a**. *sigh* i’ll do better next time.
93- don’t just read manga. my biggest petpeve is totaly the kids who only read manga. and draw fancomics. honestly. if your gonna draw comics at least have the sense to make your own characters.
i recomend talking to your soul on a daily basis. everyone knows what my soul is feeling. right now it’s nutral… and slightly euphoric…

Alice is miserable but at least she's alive now says:
94- My soul is deeply unhappy and feels like December. A very small part of it feels Christmas-y but most of it feels like laying by the space heater and moping. And my body is now going to go cook.
85- AH, I remember you talking about that. Was it called Happy Tuesday or something? A crayon to every friend you see and a pinapple to an acquaintance? I told one of my friends about it at the end of last year, and we’re going to do it as soon as we get a pinapple.
Actually, I think I know who I’d give the pinapple too. Very amusing. Very…
I recomend sunscrean And not sweating it off in the first 5 minutes of a tennis match, and then playing for over an hour in the scorching sun and sweating so much it could in all probity pass for swimming. And then doing so 3 more times.
Jadestone is red, and her sock tan line just went from ‘eh, okay’ back to ‘very bad’ (aka dark legs and white feet, with a dinstinct line between them).
Jadestone would also recomend owning a pair of shoes that are not sandles that can be worn in the summer (it’s hot enough to be… high 80s )
82-i want to show my teacher the SCIENCE: it works, [snip]s one but i’ve had so many experiences with teachers yelling at me for my lack of a school appropriate censor in my brain *coughFEATHERSandtheJESUSISMETALCOMIC*
i showed hemmel the snopes comic, and he printed it out and stuck it on the wall
85-huzzah for pineapples!
95-aww, i like december. therefore i must like your soul. have a pineapple.
skipping and walking backwards are both good things to do. even more fun-marching backwards. it throws you off step for a sec when you turn around and when you face front again, but it enables you to talk to the people behind you (a good thing when you’re next to leah the obnoxious and behind sarah (not feds or hecht, diff sarah) the bossy) Also, it makes you feel special and lets you test your marching skillz

Musicman841, that guy who constantly lurks and scarcely posts says:
I recommend macs. Yay!!
And ocarinas.
That is, good ones from songbirdocarinas. com.
And hindocarinas. com, though a little pricier.
NOT from mountainocarinas. com- they sound a lot worse in real life than the sound clips sound.
And try planting the leafy thing at the top of the pineapple.
98-i have several ocarinas somewhere around…one of them is shaped like a turtle the other two look very celtic. i’m not sure where they’re from, i got them as presents
93-I started drawing manga based off the style of drawing of ‘Gin Tama’. I’m gonna start designing my character’s for whatever stuff they’ll do soon.
100-did it melt?
I recommend the new silicone spatulas. They look like plastic, but they’re impervious to heat. That’s right: they should melt, but they don’t. You can get them in specialized kitchen-supply stores and some supermarkets.
11 (PraCan) – I love the Ask The GAPAs thread! It’s one of my favorite threads. In D.C., we ate at this pizza-type restaurant, and afterwards we basically had a huge ask-the-gapa-thread with Robert.
30 (Paul) – We have one of those peelers. They really work well! Whenever we’re peeling potatoes THF and I have to take turns using it, because we both want to use it. Our other ones don’t really work very well.
38 (Queen) – I really liked those books. I actually liked the first one better, I think, but I’m not sure why. I haven’t read them in a long time.
41 (Kiki) 42 (Glassboro) – Yes! Macs!!
43 (Ebeth) – I love xkcd!
54 (Robert) – My dad uses those pens, and whenever he brings them home I “steal” them. But it’s always really (intentionally) obvious, so I don’t keep them.
61 (Swann) – I watch movies with subtitles, too. It really helps, actually, because I find myself reading the subtitles more than actually watching the movie.
75 (Robert) – When we had hermit crabs I named mine Smeagol. And whenever he pinched me, his name was switched to Gollum for the next thirty minutes.
105 (Robert) – We got a bunch of those a few years ago. They work really well! My grandma also has hot-pad type things that you can use in boiling water. It feels really weird, because you’re sticking your hands in boiling water but they don’t feel that hot. It’s also weird because the pressure of the water causes the rubber to squeeze in to your hand.
I also suggest that you memorize pi to the 100,000th decimal place. I don’t want to be the only weird person. I only have 99,993 more decimal places to go……..
104- I never wanted to use a plastic spatula, but both our metal ones broke and the other metal one stayed in Snip and the Safeway only sold plastic ones.
112- In other words you’ve memorized pi to the seventh place. Better than I.
waffles are pwnsome. and so is pi. i think i have up to the 6. 3.14159 or something like that. i can’t wait til pi day in march. i will pwn all!*breaks out into maniacal laughter*.
115-whats the best one? i want to join to practice for nanowrimo.
119- The Sci-Fi one was good, but it’s done. Etheterre’s being edited. The Last Grimoire’s a little violent. I recommend Sea Roc.
Speaking of which, I’ve noticed a trend in the RRRs. TLG: We decide to make magic only appear in ancient artifacts that hardly anybody knows how to work. One thread later: Enormous magical battle going on in the streets of Wandstadt. SR: We decide to make magic only available to storm-masters and alchemists, the latter mostly in order to make “alchemical powder” in place of gunpowder. One thread later: All sorts of magic popping out of the woodwork.
My conclusion: You can’t do a fantasy RRR with minimal magic. You either have to ban it completely or resign yourself to it being prevalent.
Of course, in Etheterre, it was popping out of the woodwork from the start, but there’s a delightfully illogical logic to it that can be refreshing.
Sorry. This post started out relevant and got way off topic. But maybe it’ll encourage people to go on the RRRs, so if the PoPoPo fine me it’ll be worth it.
120- I wouldn’t actually say that magic is “popping out of the woodwork” in The Sea Roc. Maybe. Well, yes. The thing is, we never really put a limit to it. We wanted it to be all-out fantasy, or else we wouldn’t have made stormmasters and alchemists able to use it.
By the way, I think you should come back to The Sea Roc. Maybe you aren’t doing RRRs anymore…?
122- Ah. You may be right, to some extent. It is utterly weird. I’m trying to figure out how to get it back on track, because there are definitely elements from the first thread that I want to bring back into play. But even so, it would probably still be too weird for you…Oh well. I might as well go discuss this on the pertinent thread.
118 (alley) – Yes, I know, I was just going off of what Robert said.
Alice – I’m almost done reading the Sea Roc, and I’ll join in soon. I did have some time to read it this weekend, and I’ll probably have time on Wednesday to finish it.
yay. [squealing hyperactively] I reccomend reading Harry Potter. Then seeing the movie. Then writing to David Yates to ask him what the heck was he thinking. Then go to read the books again.
I reccomend not:
Eating a bowl of pretzels, and eating all the salt from the bottom. Then going on the computer too long. And then swinging round and round on the revolving chair.
I think that you should be a pink bunny for halloween. Thats what my friend and I are doing!
HELP HOT PINK BUNNIES TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!!
HAHAHAHA!!!
Were even dying our hair pink!
1-Band kids aren’t geeks.
2-Neither are smart kids.
3-Try to get good grades.
4-Be nice to everyone.
5-Read Muse.
6-MB is cool.
7-Smileys are cool if you’re a girl, and brilliant accessories if you’re a guy.
I reccommend eating all your Halloween candy the night you collect it because if you don’t the candy gremlins will come and take it all MWA-HA-HA-HA-HA
I reccomend using speak wors while you tal. Example:
Me (note quotation marks): “Hi! My name is Sianna she said brightly”
Other cluless person (again note quotes): ” Uh, hi sianna…” He muttered.
Get it? It drives your teachers up the wall.
I also recommend Moleskine notebooks. They’re flamablamablously flamablamablous.
I also recommend making chocolate-chip cookie dough, except instead of making them into individual cookies on a cookie sheet, put them in a pan, and make them like brownies. It takes less time, and they’re really good! (Robert can back me up–he ate about 10 of them at the Pumpkin Drop.)
I also recommend not setting your clocks for Daylight Savings Time yet. Save it for Monday. Then, you’ll wake up, and it will feel like an hour later than it actually is. Yay extra sleep!
GAPAs: I have a website reccommendation. it is mostly harmless and an excellent and amazing website. It contains many short stories, poems and essays by published writers in the fantasy area (mainly). www. endicott- studio . com/ the spaces are entered so it doesn’t turn into a link.
because….. i don’t know… does someone wnt to explain birds of prey to me? they guy i like is obsessesd and im clueless ( and could you do me a favor and reply on the Romance thread?)
154- I’m named after the Eagle because of my Indian name, Yexhwelayalus, it means Cliff Eagle. Because my great great grandfather who also had my name, killed a bald eagle on a cliff with his bare hands.
I reccomend:
Reading your book on a day other than the day before you need to finish it.
Hugging your friends when you’re in a bad mood.
Listening to Herman’s Hermits.
i totaly recomend reading Miss Manners guide to excruciatingly correct behavior. it’s hilariouse. it’s very Robert Coontz style humor. while i’m reading it i’m all “wow. it feels like Robert wrote this!”
Miss Manners and I are kindred spirits. I spotted her in a crowd at the Kennedy Center several years ago. She had just published a book called Miss Manners’ Guide to Raising Perfect Children and was with her 16-year-old daughter, who was, as far as I could tell, perfect.
156- that’s cool. i was pretty sure your name mean cliff eagle or something along tose lines. my frien malan (although it might be his brother Beknel) name means eagle or snake.
164- you actualy met her? that is so cool! *is jealouse*
I recommend helping hot pink bunnies take over the world. HELP HOT PINK BUNNIES TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!! Mua hahaha!!!!
If you don’t want to sat all of that then you can just shorten it to H.H.P.B.T.O.T.W..
Oooh…A new thread… What is this about anyways? The description isn’t very informative. Are we recommending things about life?
Look at last year’s thread.
Oh. I get it now. I have no recommendations right now, though.
Ebeth recommends breathing.
Hummm….
I had FLE today, so… use Abstinence. Yeah. *nods head vigoursly*
I recomend:
1 doing hw
2 sleeping it makes you tired in the morning
3 not sleeping. it makes me giddy.
4 Scary-go-round
5 adapting to low fluid intake. I drink ,like, never…..
6 eating at odd times. it’s more fun than eating when everyone else does.
7 MUSEBLOG….. actualy i don’t. it adicts you after one post (like cocain [?])
6- Not exactly like cocaine. More like smoking, because the addiction can be broken. (I went cold turkey for a week, and could have gone longer if I knew it was doing me lasting damage.)
Sorry, Robert- it can’t be flattering to have your brainchild compared to addictive drugs.
No offense taken. Just don’t everybody take a break at the same time. It would get lonely around here with no messages to moderate.
Now, back to recommendations, please…
drink dr. pepper
. WHEEEE!
I highly recommend hanging out on the Ask The Gapas thread. It’s nice to gain some insight into the Unseene Poweres That Governe Thy Movementes Whilst Thou Art On This Webbe Logge.
I recommend you make careful decisions and never lie. Even when it seems like a really good idea.
“Getting forgiven is easier than getting permission. Usually.”-Walter Slovotsky.
Discuss?
12-well, he’s kinda right. getting caught breaking a stupid rule is easier than going through the beuroacracy (sp?) of getting around it.
I recommend reading these books:
Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell
The Golden Compass
The Dark Is Rising
I reccomend not randomly going out with people
DERON!!! *glares in his direction.7- Wait, you smoke? Seriously? Or am I just being gullible?
I second the recommendation to read The Dark is Rising. Actually, start with Over Sea, Under Stone, which is the first book in the series. And the movie coming out next week (actually called The Seeker) is nothing like the book from what I’ve heard.
14- Johnathan Strange and Mr. Norrell. I’ll have to look out for that.
16- Cold turkey from MuseBlog, not smoking! Geez!
I recommend not following my example.
Get 8 hours of sleep a night.
Do your homework before MuseBlogging.
Be on time to marching band practices.
Don’t obsess over little things.
Try to keep one or two things from taking over you life and/or thoughts.
I recommend doing living history. [I’m sure you were just waiting for that….]
7~ I’m asking Kiki’s question, you smoke?! How old are you?
Oh, whoops, never mind that last question, your latest post wasn’t up yet….
Note to self: Reread posts before submitting in order to prevent misinterpretation.
Nah, it just sounded like that. I often say things and then realize that they could be interpreted differently…. I usually end up turning an unattractive red and trying to explain what I really meant to say.
I also recommend climbing trees. All the time, it’s great fun.
I recommend a work ethic. Not having one has killed me, don’t be like lazy SM.
20- I wish I could do living history…
23- I love climbing trees!
What’s living history?
Canix, that’s what I kind of thought too, and I had, like, a panic attack (Well, okay, not really)… But then I figured it out. And I do things like that all the time.
I recommend sleeping. And actually doing your homework sometime before 10. *Maniacal laughter*
I recommend Acting class.
I also recommend getting up early enough that yolu have to do stuff like MuseBlog or read before school.
How’s that?
14: Is the Golden Compass really good? I’m debating reading it.
I recommend that everyone goes outside today and enjoys fall. Rainy-cold weather or not.
24-not likely…
30-w00t! have fun!(btw, potato peelers pwn all!)
DRINK DR. PEPPER!!!!!
Jammin j
Erm… I recommend Stewart’s brand sodas. Delicious, and they come in glass bottles.
I also recommand relenting not, lest ye be trampled and left for dead.
31-yes, definitely read it
30-ooh, sailing. spiffy times.
24-i second that. being lazy, while putting you in a perpetually good mood (ok, punctuated by moments of random panic, true), is not the way to be successful. unless of course, you don’t care if you’re successful. now me, i’ve already got my box picked out.
jk…ish
7 – I think after several months MuseBlog becomes easier to drop cold turkey for a while.
And I would sure hope MuseBlog doesn’t harm you!
17- Dude, the first book (Over Sea, Under Stone) sucks. Read it last if you have to read it at all.
Listen to Elvenking, Masterplan, and Helloween. And any other power or folk metal band that you can get your hands on.
What do you meen abour Over Sea, Under Stone? I know it’s not the best book in the world but your way over doing it. I liked it. I like The Dark is Rising better. If you like thatsort of stuff I sugjust the Lord of the Rings books.
Oops! Sorry about the spelling mistakes. I still like Over Sea, Under Stone.
Watership Down is a classic. The mystery of Edwin Drood by Dickens. He died while writing it, so it’s a real mystery
.
Hyazaki Films(spelling?)
30- looks beautiful and green :^)
I recommend… um… MACS!
MACS!!!!!!!!!! YAYZ!!!
41-oh yeah? yeah? Well I recommend PCs and Windows. So there.
Shun the nonbeliever! *shunnnnnn*
I recommend not being normal..life’s more fun that way…
45-ow. I feel so shunned.
46-I agree. much more fun.
I recomend everyone wear a “perfectly Harmless” button. Honest, people all the time ask me about it.
I recommend freaking out all the new people at guides (or any other organisation) by laughing manically and being generally weird.
12- I thought it was “Getting forgiveness is easier then getting permission” Grace Hopper (I think)
I recommend Linux. Any distro. I prefer SuSE but it got shunned by everybody so there is no support. Now I use kubuntu. So go kubuntu.
Ebeth- How do you get to the comics on xkcd? When I click on the link. i get a blank page.
GET COWS
and lots of ’em!!!!!!!
oh, and I’m going to have another calf born VERY SOON I need help with names, mostly girl ones
so if anyone would like to reccomend…
I’m not sure whether Dr. Hopper coined that saying, but it certainly typified her philosophy of life.
I met her several times when she worked for my father at the Pentagon, and once chauffered her around when she gave a talk at my college. An unforgettable character.
Oh, recommendations: Uniball Vision and Vision Elite pens.
I recommend the brand-new XO laptops, designed for kids in third world countries. they’re a stroke of genius. and they run on a linux.
Learn French, or at least one other language. or play an instrument
Visit museums often.
44, 49, 52, 55-No. macs are better. PC’s are only better for gaming and filesharing. And yes, linux is amazingly flamablamablous. Windows is just a no.
also, yay, uniball!
Windows -grrrr- antiwindows!
Languages? Esperanto.
55- I speak French! and Spanish!
Do some sort of music, learn an instrument and/or sing. It’s fun, and you can meet lots of people through it.
58-esperanto, definitely. also latin, greek, italian, whatever else you can learn to speak
Buy posters. Paper your room with them. No questions asked.
I recommend English. It’s very useful in these parts.
65-Oh, God, I wish. If only.
Oh yeah. When feeling depressed, listen so something old like 1985.
That’s not actually that old of a song…unless you mean songs from the year 1985…
i recommend pink floyd and dire straits when you’re depressed. and when you’re hyper and uber-happy, elvenking, aerosmith, the four tops, TMBG
birdhouse in your soul is great when you’re depressed though
I recomend dinasaur comics by ryan north (a canadian incase youre wondering) they are some awesome webcomics.
I recommend The Endicott Studio of Mythic Arts.
69-i started reading that once…i should finish that once i’m done with the wigu archives. but yeah, it was great
The Rough Guide to Climate Change.
(53) Names for a calf: Melpomene is nice. Be sure to pronounce it correctly, however. (It rhymes with “hominy.”)
(63) When I was Muser-age, we had a hamster named Arwen. Our cat was Saruman the White. I named them both, of course.
Ah, the Luna Lovegood method.
I recommend watching Charlie Chaplin’s The Great Dictator.
71- is wigu good? I’m still reading scary go round archives…
I recomend visiting Canada. We are an awesome country. Toronto has a lot happeneing all the time so you should go there.
76-I do that, to the strange stares of everyone around me.
79-Is that the one where he acts like Adolf Hitlar?? If it is that was so funny.
Anyone looked at Endicott yet?
80- I want too!!! I want to go to Vancover, Toronto, Ottawa (de Lint lives there and plays at a coffee shop on thursdays), Montreal… anywhere. yeah.
76- I’m constantly skipping places and I’ve got two different skipping buddies! yay for skipping places!
Ooh cool xkcd stickers! I’m going to give my chem teacher the snapple comic. I would have given it to Ms. K but L already did so I’ll give it to Mr. L instead.
81- It is indeed. Especially the food fight with Napaloni/Mussolini.
76- Is skipping randomly not normal? Ohhhh…I see…
I also walk backwards.
I recommend learning another language. Spanish is easy, because there are a lot of cognates.
There are even more if you learn French.
I know a lot of people who could really use a pineapple.
pineapples and crayons and skipping…hmmm. and i thought my friends were wierd. the crayon idea sounds coold though. along with the decorating your school books.
i reccomend learning. its helpful. also, being pwnsome at gold wouldn’t hurt either. my brother is on the schools golf team, and he’s pwnsome. we jsut played contsests in the yard and he kcked my a**. *sigh* i’ll do better next time.
final fantasy, dungeons and dragons… umm… manga.. computer games… books.. pretty much it!
82- toronto in summer is the awesomenest.
Very…
I recomend sunscrean
And not sweating it off in the first 5 minutes of a tennis match, and then playing for over an hour in the scorching sun and sweating so much it could in all probity pass for swimming. And then doing so 3 more times.
Jadestone is red, and her sock tan line just went from ‘eh, okay’ back to ‘very bad’ (aka dark legs and white feet, with a dinstinct line between them).
Jadestone would also recomend owning a pair of shoes that are not sandles that can be worn in the summer (it’s hot enough to be… high 80s
)
I recommend macs. Yay!!
And ocarinas.
That is, good ones from songbirdocarinas. com.
And hindocarinas. com, though a little pricier.
NOT from mountainocarinas. com- they sound a lot worse in real life than the sound clips sound.
And try planting the leafy thing at the top of the pineapple.
98-i have several ocarinas somewhere around…one of them is shaped like a turtle
the other two look very celtic. i’m not sure where they’re from, i got them as presents
I recommend not using a plastic spatula.
Yup.
Hm. I think I know who I’ll give my pineapple to.
93-I started drawing manga based off the style of drawing of ‘Gin Tama’. I’m gonna start designing my character’s for whatever stuff they’ll do soon.
100-did it melt?
102- Well, not quite. Well, sort of. But it didn’t actually melt into the food. It sort of formed a slightly different shape.
I used to be scared of picking anything up with a plastic spatula. I had to always use a metal one.
Stay fit.
I recommend the new silicone spatulas. They look like plastic, but they’re impervious to heat. That’s right: they should melt, but they don’t. You can get them in specialized kitchen-supply stores and some supermarkets.
(105) You can also find them at Target and other such places. Check the labels, though. Some will withstand higher temps than others.
4 (Ebeth) – Thanks for the recommendation!
I’m kind of confused but I think this is about recommending things….
Right?
That’s right. Things to do, things to experience, things to use. Anything that makes life easier or more interesting.
If it is I recommend that you watch the movie Grease and eat waffles. My friends and I are having a waffle Grease party!
whooooooo!!!
Greasy waffles? Yum.
I also suggest that you memorize pi to the 100,000th decimal place. I don’t want to be the only weird person. I only have 99,993 more decimal places to go……..
not greasy waffles
eat waffles while watching grease
104- I never wanted to use a plastic spatula, but both our metal ones broke and the other metal one stayed in Snip and the Safeway only sold plastic ones.
112- In other words you’ve memorized pi to the seventh place.
Better than I.
I recommend RRRs.
112-I recommend the poem Poe, E. Near A Raven
Greasy waffles…hmm.
I actually really don’t like Grease. Our school’s musical in 7th grade was based off Grease and it was absolutely awful…maybe that’s why.
not greasy waffles
eat waffles while watching grease
thats what i said before
waffles are pwnsome. and so is pi. i think i have up to the 6. 3.14159 or something like that. i can’t wait til pi day in march. i will pwn all!*breaks out into maniacal laughter*.
121- Of course I am. The Sea Roc just got too confusing for me. I left, and by the time I got back, it was utterly weird.
So anyone looked up Endicott yet? It’s an online magazine of SFF if that helps. yeah.
now i have 29 decimal places of pi memorized!!!
I RECCOMEND READING MAXIMUM RIDE BY JAMES PATTERSON! AND IF YOU DON’T THEN TOTAL WILL MAKE AN OFFENSIVE YOUTUBE VIDEO! (says he)
-Max
jk, i’m not max, but i’m sure that’s what she and Total would say(if you’re lost, read the books)
jeez, no one posts here anymore
Hmm, what can I reccomend?
Ooh, here’s a good one: POST ON MB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, I couldn’t resist….
Did you puke?
Today was united nations day
I think that you should be a pink bunny for halloween. Thats what my friend and I are doing!
HELP HOT PINK BUNNIES TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!!
HAHAHAHA!!!
Were even dying our hair pink!
you are strange.
I recommend being cool. Here’s how to be cool:
1-Band kids aren’t geeks.
2-Neither are smart kids.
3-Try to get good grades.
4-Be nice to everyone.
5-Read Muse.
6-MB is cool.
7-Smileys are cool if you’re a girl, and brilliant accessories if you’re a guy.
i reccomend…. a new tradition….. do u know how many times i’ve been hit with a pie today? *growls* there isn’t even any whipped cream!
52-excellent. umm. yeah. i still use SUse…well, actually i triple boot ubuntu SuSe, xp. *is ridiculously geeky*
I recommend not trying to practice the elctric guitar or trumpet while MuseBlogging. Trust me. It doesn’t work!!
140 – hee hee
I reccommend reading the Chronicles of Narnia books. They’re really good. Plus they’re being made into major motion pictures as we
speakread.I reccommend eating all your Halloween candy the night you collect it because if you don’t the candy gremlins will come and take it all MWA-HA-HA-HA-HA
I reccomend using speak wors while you tal. Example:
Me (note quotation marks): “Hi! My name is Sianna she said brightly”
Other cluless person (again note quotes): ” Uh, hi sianna…” He muttered.
Get it? It drives your teachers up the wall.
I recommend keeping your computer in a fire-proof box in your basement.
I recommend not procrastinating.
I recommend chocolate.
Ah, yes. I have a long history with procrastinating. It always worked until at 8:00 PM the night before the assignment was due.
I recommend NaNoWriMo.
146 ~ My Sunday school teacher makes those. She’s an amazing baker. They’re delicious.
I recommend band. Especially low brass.
I reccomend never listening to Hilary Duff. NEVER. EVER.
(146, 147) Yes, they’re amazing. I could live on them. I might not live very long, but it would be worth it.
GAPAs: I have a website reccommendation. it is mostly harmless and an excellent and amazing website. It contains many short stories, poems and essays by published writers in the fantasy area (mainly). www. endicott- studio . com/ the spaces are entered so it doesn’t turn into a link.
148- I loved Hilary when I was 7. Yes, I still have a soft spot, and can recite all the songs from memory.
I reccomend converting your music religion to country. It is not uncool, and I shun all who disagree.
151-I added part of “With Love” from Dignity to my NaNoWriMo as an annoying answering machine.
151- I love country music! especially Tim McGraw.
I also reccomend going to the Classic Pie War and joining Zemtee and the Coconut Cream Guerilla. Vamos Todavia!
Why are so many people named after birds of prey?????
because….. i don’t know… does someone wnt to explain birds of prey to me? they guy i like is obsessesd and im clueless ( and could you do me a favor and reply on the Romance thread?)
154- I’m named after the Eagle because of my Indian name, Yexhwelayalus, it means Cliff Eagle. Because my great great grandfather who also had my name, killed a bald eagle on a cliff with his bare hands.
and red-tailed hawk is the lead hawk of the kokonspircy.
I recomend everyone do thier homework before ten minutes before its due!!!!
been there, done that…. i reccomen that you on’t mess with the Evil one *winces over bobby pin wound* Ow
who’s the evil one?
I reccomend:
Reading your book on a day other than the day before you need to finish it.
Hugging your friends when you’re in a bad mood.
Listening to Herman’s Hermits.
I love birds!
who’s herman’s hermits?
i totaly recomend reading Miss Manners guide to excruciatingly correct behavior. it’s hilariouse. it’s very Robert Coontz style humor. while i’m reading it i’m all “wow. it feels like Robert wrote this!”
I recommend not letting this thread die, especially for so long!
Red-tailed HAWK

This thread is SO DEAD!
I meant to say say not sat.
I recommend gala apples to anyone who doesn’t already have a favorite variety.
I also recommend a new installment of this thread.
Let me guess, Random Thread Generator?
Nope. I was just eating a gala apple and thought it would be good to recommend it to the rest of MuseBlog.
I like Gala apples.
Oh, okay.
A new edition does seem overdue. Here you go.
