Wow! Part two already!!!!
1- give cholkit to popopo.
well, the first one was dieing, we had to get people to come, and this is how the GAPAs did it.
I didn’t join the first one because there were so many posts, and I wouldn’t have had time to read them all.
4-oh. well now your here. cooleo.
Can we have a really cool uniform? With TIES?
6-NO WAI.
6 and 6- I think uniforms are a fantastic idea, but there should be an extremely wide variety of uniforms to chose from.
8-Uniforms are GROSSS. (And expensive.)
8- yes.
6- Ties = nooses. I wouldn’t want to wear one everyday. But I sort of wanted one today…
I like the thought of uniforms, but I agree with Cappy.
9 – Expensive?! There is always (virtual) money in the first national muse academy bank!
11 – You wouldn’t have to wear a tie, I wouldn’t guess. You could chose one of the many “non-tie” options.
12-And plaid? Yuck. As long as the uniforms allowed jeans and black T-Shirts.
Maybe the uniforms could be optional as well as there being many choices.
The uniforms should be free…
Have you guys talked about a hiking and outdoors stuff class?
14- technically, it’s not a “uniform” if it’s optional.
Perhaps we should adopt official, non-optional uniforms that no one actually wears….
I suggest jeans with button-up shirts and optional ties, and bowties for formal occasions.
There you go. Everyone’s happy. But no plaid. Unless you’re Scottish and want to wear your kilt. In which case, go ahead.
If there are too many options, the uniforms won’t be very uniform. Maybe we should call them “multiforms.”
18- More people wear kilts in America than they do in Scotland.
All l know is that l want long robes. l’ll wear a black mage hat. or a gaasa.
How ’bout we get to wear what we want, but there’s a dress code?
That might work. It seems to me that the main value of uniforms is wearing them off-campus to strike fear into the hearts of the general populace. Weren’t we talking about capes or something? Formal school occasions should also require special garments. Apart from that, I’d guess Musers would need a fair amount of freedom.
6- Ties = bad. Have you ever had to wear a tie to school? Huh? (Actually, you probably have, but still) I have worn a tie to school for a year, which is not very much, but I, and all my comrades, want to cut them up into very small pieces. And we’re the “good” students!
Yeah, that would be so much better. There might be one thing (like a cloak) that you have to get that’s from the school, but that’s it.
Yeah, I’m fine with just a cloak, but not a full uniform. Let us express our individuality! We are all smart enough, I hope, not to wear extremely provocative clothing.
26-I doubt that a girl on MuseBlog would wear especially short Booty Shorts.
20-Who on earth would go and research those statistics? And why?
24-Yes, I have. I know 20 ways to tie a tie. What about ascots? Cravats? Do you like those?
27-I wear booty shorts. And midriff tops. So there you go.
Capes would be excellent. Or what about really stylish hats?
Can we have a Scholastic Bowl team?
24- actually, yes. every day.
Cloaks are cool
I say we should have mandatory cloaks with specially-enhanced billowing effect, and we can wear anything else that we like. SOME of us might choose to wear cravats (which are very cool, BTW), and tricorn hats (doubly cool), but others can opt for jeans and a t-shirt of they choose (although that’s a bit boring).
27 – I wouldn’t be caught dead in booty shorts.
Capes! So long as they’re short enough that you don’t trip on them. Because however brilliantly coordinated other MuseBloggers are, I’m dead clumsy.
I don’t really care what I wear, but I think that we should find a uniform that everyone can agree on – because it wouldn’t make any sense for everyone to wear the school uniform while wearing different clothes from everyone else.
I say whatever, but you have to wear the cape.
31-Yes, cloaks are not complete without the billowing effect. That makes it all so much more intimidating/pwnsome.
Uniforms, yes the Uni part means ONE and the Form part mean formal, right? So uniforms are one formal (yuck) manditory (yuck) outfit. YUCK. Altough I do like cloaks.
27-Neither would I, but I’m a boy. Oh, huplah, everyone’s triped on their jeans at least once (well, I have) and tripping on a cloak would be just funny. Especially when you’re sweeping it to look impressive and eville.
28-No, I mean like SHORT booty shorts and REALLY CREEPILY LOW midriff shirts. If you have the body, you can wear it. If you don’t DONT. Some crazy girl at my school wore a midriff tank top and her bulge stuck over the shorts. :yuckness:
We should just have dozens of bizarre, obscure uniforms and you can choose which one you want to wear. The only commonality is that they all have the “Muse Academy” logo on them somewhere.
I think people should just start designing uniforms!
Black cloak
Black hood
Black shirt
Black pants
Black leather armor thingy
Red face paint
35-Black JEANS. And face paint I’m not so sure about, except at Quidditch matches.
wheee i wanna join the academeeee!
27 – Sometimes
33 – Eew. Actaully, form means type or kind. I’ve actually tripped on a cloak before, I wore a really awesome one for Halloween last year and nearly fell down the stairs.
35 – I totally agree, save for the red face paint. Cool outfit!
Not uniforms, everyone: multiforms, myraforms, morethanoneforms. Maybe it depends on hobbies or clubs or groups or something. But I must say, a black cloak should be at the very least encouraged. Very billowy, mysterious, with a hood and secret pockets.
Mine is pretty much the same as Lawrence’s, except they wouldn’t all need to be black, though that would look completely awesome. Just add a belt, scabbard, and some sort of headband, and I’d wear that around school! I’d need five gazillion pockets to carry all my amazing knick-knacks around with me, though.
NO UNIFORMS! I like robert’s idea, just for special occasions. billowing capes are always fun, but i wouldn’t wear them every day.
Anyway, i would never wear the uniform uness it involved jeans or cargo pants and t-shirts (and hoodies when it gets cold). So there. MA’s first rebellion.
I think it would be cool for everyone to create their “own” uniform, though. But I think special occasions make sense. With your “own” uniform. Or something like that…
31-perfect. The only mandatory thing is the cloak.
(35) So, sort of a Darth Maul look. Hm… Not sure that would work well for me.
oh. FACE PAINT!!!!!!!!
40 – Yeah.
MULTIFORMS! Like Robert said earlier. That’s perfect! I think that every “house” might have a uniform, or we could just each have a uniform we chose/create with similar colors/logos like what was mentioned earlier.
42 – Or cardinals. But Darth Maul is pretty cool.
28- I don’t know.. We’ll see.
36- no i mean MINE
42- HAHAHAHAAA!!!!!
Robert, you would look very funny in a Darth Maul costume.
Creating your own uniform would be quite interesting. You would see people in, like, jeans, and some people in a bumblebee costume or something.
People in swimsuits next to people in parkas…
So, basically, uniforms that you make yourselves are basically no uniforms at all! But whatever, it’s fun
50 – Well, yeah! But I would say that they’re uniforms if they represent that you’re from the school.
I actually like plaid. But I wouldn’t want to wear the same thing every day…
I have a khaki pleated skirt I wear to school sometimes. It looks like uniform skirt, but I don’t wear it every day. More like once every 2 weeks.
I would enjoy wearing the cape, sometimes, but not every day. Then it might get annoying.
36- We have quidditch? Awesome!
Do we have a map of muse academy island?
52-Well, as most of us are Harry Potter fans, plus some of us are scientific geniuses, I guess flying broomsticks and balls wouldn’t be so hard. Of course, being a wizard would kinda help too, but there’s none of those here. I think.
wow, i have definetly not been following this thread…
20-haha! Yes! a kilt! that will be part of my uniform!
54- l want a blackmage hat… and l made up my own class for my real life-rpg. The class is… if l told you, c++d would overreact. That’s another thing, C++DM. Don’t overreact.
My uniform isn’t going to be uniform. I’ll just wear whatever I feel like wearing on a given day.
Personally, I think we should be able to wear whatever we want, and have cloaks that indicate which house we’re in. Whatever colors were on the cloaks would sort that out. They could even have designs, if we were so inclined, but I don’t know if too many guys would want to wear a cloak with a rose on it. Either way, Spector House’s cloaks would be scarlet with dark green trim; Coontz House’s would be purple with silver trim; Baker House’s would be Lincoln green with gold trim; and Lasley House’s would be hot pink with black trim.
(I couldn’t find what color trim was for Coontz and Lasley Houses, so I made those up…they cna be changed accordingly.)
57? pretty much every class you can be has pretty much been made in some game or another, so tell me what you want, and i’ll find a class that fits it.
I finally wrote a Baker house song!
Sung to the tune of “Green sleeves” (If you want to sing it, feel free to interpret it in your own way)
We, the Baker House, shall win,
Dun dun dun dun, oh house of Ba-ker
Oh Lasley and Coontz, you stand no chance,
a-nd Spector shall fall un-der Ba-ker
dun dun-dun dun dun dun
O-h-h house of Ba-ker, Ba-ker house
We shall tri-umph, for we are,
Th-e mi-gh-ty house o-f Bak-er
61-Bah! Indeed…Spector rules all!!! Actually, when it comes down to it, we’re quite diplomatic…(I just had to say we rule in retaliation…lolz).
61- I think it should glorify something else besides triumph over the other houses.
Has a Spector song been written?
60- Nah, l actually know most of the FF1 classes from research. mine is a combo of red mage, thief, and monk.
63-No, it hasn’t, that I know of…we should write one, but I don’t have time, really…I’ll see what I can do, though.
Hey, GAPA’s, like my new email address, btw?
63- nope.
63- Yeh, probably. I wrote it very quickly, and did not put a lot of though into it. Anyone else can write one if they want.
You know what would be awesome? A thread like the roleplaying stuff except with house competition.
I think uniforms were planned out on the origanal thread. You had to wear one part of your uniform (such as the cloak) and a house badge, but then whatever else, like jeans. And whatever you wanted on weekends. Look on the other thread for the actual descriptions, the uniforms were cool, not lame like the ones the catholic school near here has to wear.
61 – Well done, old girl. We do need a house song. You don’t think that one is a little – er – garrulous?
23- my old school had a performance uniform we wore on outings and stuff. personally i love the idea of a uniform. Mabe we could have a different varriation for each house.
34- i’ll go design some stuuf
40- YEAH!!!!!!! people should send in designs!!!!!!!! i will be!!!!!!!!!
61- the lastley song is better.
(71, 61) Let’s see if I can improvise one…
When Baker Hou-use comes on the sce-ene,
All other hou-uses turn bright green.
The finest hou-use that’s ever bee-een,
We ne-ever sha-all forsake her.
Hail, hail, good Bakers a-all!
Unfurl your colors, stand proud and tall!
Shout her name out from hill to ha-all,
The glor-i-ous hou-use of Ba-ker!
There! Don’t say Coontz House never did you any favors.
74- that reminds me. is the fight of the uki- what ever still it?
(To the tune of My Country, ‘Tis of Thee)
Oh, Spector House, thou great
Gem in Muse’s estate,
Forever strong.
Innovative and bright,
Rose like a guiding light,
Unscathed by any plight,
Hear thou our song.
Now how do you expect me to choose a GAPA?!
l’m going to make a map of the island. What’s on it?
77-There was a test on the last thread.
Robert, I have to hand the Rhubarb Pie to you. Wonderful Baker House theme song. How can we ever repay you?
Wait a minute, what are the colors/animals of each house? I forgot. *goes to check*
In case anyone has forgotten, 74 is to be sung to the tune of “Greensleeves.”

Hail, fellow musers! I took the test and I am in Coontz House. Also, I know I’m kind of late coming to this thread. It is because of homework. There should not be three hours of homework every night at Muse Academy. Right? Got it? Good.
Moving on to the uniform issue thing, I think you should have to wear something that is your house color, whether it is a shirt, pants, hat, button, cloak, ect. You could buy many of these items through the school, so it would be like school spirit wear. However, things from home would work just as well.
Finally, was there a certain number of classes that you had to take?
Welcome, my fighting Uruk-hai! I mean, esteemed new house member.
By the way, I was a perfect match for Coontz house.
76-Brilliant, Canix!!!
*pies in approval*
‘Tis spiffarific!
74- Excellent! Much better than mine. Like I said, I wasn’t really thinking.
74 – Well, that’s saved me writing something unintelligible in Tudor. Ta, Robert.
81- Trojan Tiger lost interest.
MAP???? Should l make one or not?
im in spector. just for the record.
Ok, something needs to happen, here…
We have Houses, dress codes, classes (we need to schedule them), songs (for all Houses?), symbols…
We need class schedules (as I mentioned before), sports, and dances (ok, they’re not necessary, but would be nice)…
Anything?
Geez, people, c’mon, now!!! This is still on the main page!
GAPA’s, will you put some kind of reminder up, por favor? And tell me whether or not you think it could be a good idea to, once all is settled, turn this into an RPG-type thing?
i think an RPG would be spiffy
92- yes.
And me. While we’re on the subject of dieing threads, Shadowkat- Pie isle needs you.
94-Coming!
And, ok, let’s find the stuff we need, and then start RPG-ing…is pieing a sport, do you think (need I ask)?
Of course!
ARGHHHH!!!!!!! GAPA’s, a reminder, or something, please!!!
I’m here. Just tell me what you want to discuss/do, and I’m happy to do it.
I went and made a floor plan for the first floor. If I get hold of a scanner I’ll send it in.
40- I love the idea of each “house” having their own uniform. I think that each of the muses will have their own house, and their own colored cloak. Check this out!
Chad-blue cloak
Aeiou-purple cloak
Pwt-red cloak
Crraw-black cloak
Mimi-yellow cloak
Feather-green cloak
Kokopelli-orange cloak
Urania-pink cloak.
After the cloak/house rule applies, the musers should be allowed to wear whatever they want underneath. Uniform problem solved.
99- sweet!
94- If pieing isn’t already a sport, then it should be.
100- the house are the four GAPAS, just so you know.
100-Tha’d be a good idea, except for the fact that there are only four houses: Baker, Lasely, Coontz, and Spector.
maybe we can have wings named after the muses.
That’s a good idea. The Muses are inspirations for academics. For example, the electronics lab can be named after Chad, the computer center after Aeiou, the math hall after Urania, etc. Mimi presides over anything involving economics, politics, and history, as they either describe ways for people to get along together or record what happens when don’t get along so well. Literature or “language arts,” of course, is the province of Crraw.
Sports could be Kokopellis, I suppose, because they are often unpredictablle? And what about Bo? She could be everything random that doesnt’ fit with the other things, I guess.
Or the library?
Wait, I’m confused. Just what are the classes, exactly? I’m trying to work on mapping out the main classroom area and can’t figure out what needs to be put down, bleh. And also, we should have a school in Montreal, and maybe one in the People’s Republic of Berkeley, which I’m sure would make Robert happy, right? =P
108 (Koko) – why do we need more than one school?
105-Feather is, of course, Botany. Pwt, Zoology (and maybe Espionage); and Urania is in charge of the Sciences!
i’m back. And just for the list, i’m in coontz.
Welcome, O favored one!
does anyone mind If I write a muse academy term paper on the history of the muses?
I want to post here…but I have nothing to say….is the acadamy constructed yet?
114- no.
Hey, how does one get into a house? Do we get sorted?
This is not a great place to put this, but a secondary school is going to be started in The Great and Wholly Sugar-filled Empire of Zemtee. ANY Muse Academy Graduates can attend for a minor fee of ten cherry and five apple pies. NOT THROWN AT THE TEACHERS, PLEASE!!! HANDED IN TO ME!!!
Also, cloaks? That makes it seem Harry Potter-ish, but that’s not what we want, is it? Muse Academy Hoodies make more sense!
Red-tailed HAWK
117- how about throw into you!
*not the time, for CPW*
117- Yes, let’s not have this be a retro-renesance school. Hoodies are okay.
But cloaks are so FUN!
Someone on the Polling Place has asked everyone what their Muse Academy house is. What’s mine?
One rule we should make is that whenever there is a live Immersion Presents broadcast, we can leave class and go to the computers to watch. I hate missing those!
(Immersion Presents is a series of broadcasts from ocean explorers.)
Hmmm… I found the quiz, but when I took it, it was a tie between three of the houses. What do I do now?
Pick one?
I was hoping for a solution where I wouldn’t be caught in a web of self-doubt. (Maybe I should go to Albuquerque.)
I’m pretty sure that I’m Spector house. -looks at current Spector house people- Yup, yup, definitely.
Ok, I think I’m in Lasley house…
I’m in Coontz House. I think.

Re: Uniforms: Give that the Muserly mindset is all about differences and individuality, I think that we should do away with uniforms all together, and say that we just have to wear a little badge and other than that we can wear whatever we want.
131- Badges are good. Can I join the Spector house?
132- Course you can! Welcome!
Certainly, ¡Ã߀ƒ! ! Welcome to Spector house.

I'[m going to make a map!
140 – More like a RPG, maybe.
I think I’ll do a Muse Academy story for SF.
140- That would be fun!
Does anybody remember the Caltech Ditch Day article? Maybe we should do something like that at Muse Academy!
I’d say no power in the ‘verse could stop you.
145 – That was a great article.
-chucks bunnies at people-
145- I liked that article. I might want to go to CalTech if I was more technologically inclined.
-begs for a Muse Academy RPG thread- -uses mind control powers on GAPAs-
145,147,148- Oh wait! Was that The Myth of Osiris? I loved that article.
I second that motion.
150 – The title doesn’t sound familiar. It was the one where the students tried to break into each people’s dorm rooms/stop people from breaking into their dorm rooms, using the walls of concrete and puzzles and stuff.
152- Yeah. The Myth of Osiris.
yeah, good article.
153- Isn’t that when isis brought him back to life?? idk
Sorry i haven’t posted in a while, but i remeber the first part of this thread.
Can i join the Spector House? I’d absolutely lurv that!
155- The Myth of Osiris was the name of an Egyptian themed Ditch Day prank.
When will people start graduating from Muse Academy? We need people in The Zemtee Secondary School! *Campaigns*
Red-tailed HAWK
155 – Is that what you got on the test?
157 – As soon as we get a Muse Academy RPG thread so people can actually go to school.
-hint, hint-
157- But Secondary School is like High School. And so is MA.
159 – Really? I thought MA was more like middle school. Maybe it should be a combo of the two.
160- Okay, correction.
Secondary School is where you get sent after Primary School. It’s like middle and high school combined.
MA is a secondary school. Something like grades 6 to 12.
161 – I understand now. Thanks.
Yes, sorry for the confusion, I mean this new school is secondary to Muse Academy, and because Muse Academy contains all of the grades of normal school, this “secondary school” is really a college of sorts, where one learns more about the history of pies and muse, etc., the science, and anything else you could think of that’s cool like that Beyond what Muse Academy can teach, of course!
Red-tailed HAWK
163- Understood.
How do you know which House you should be in?
How are they different?
165 – There’s a test in the first couple posts on the last thread, which you can get to through a link in Post 0 of this thread. And they’re different in the fact that they “focus” on different areas – music (Baker), science (Coontz), art (Lasley), and writing (Spector).
*campaigns for Muse Academy RPG thread* RPG thread! RPG thread! RPG thread! RPG thread! RPG thread!
167 – YAAAAY!
-grabs some random signs from a pile and starts waving them- -looks at signs-
Hey, these are Koko for President signs.
-scribbles out “Koko” and writes “Muse Academy RPG-
-chants “Muse Academy RPG for president!” over and over-
*posts signs promoting a Muse Academy RPG all over the Spector House*
*fixes up big signs that say: MUSE ACADEMY THREAD!* what do we want? THREAD!
I third the suggestion that IBCF proposed and Cat’s Meow seconded.
PETITION FOR A MUSE ACADEMY RPG THREAD

ΡÖŞÎĈ
Now that that’s out of the way, let’s decide on how exactly we’re going to play this out. Do we just interact with other Musers at Muse Academy?
169 – Heck with that. -posts signs promoting a Muse Academy RPG all over ALL of the houses-
-and the cafeteria-
-and the entire campus-
-and my forehead-
172 – Hmm, probably. Sort of like the Pie Wars and the other RPGs and the Pieceful Pie Planet stuff.
Would there be any particular adventures?
172- Yes, and we’ll have activities, raid each other’s dorms, make tests for each other–anything we can think of doing.
okay. each *day* we have our classes and interact…we can personalize our characters…and eventually. EVENTUALLY MAYBE we can have a plot that we all fit into. sorry. I just don’t want to move too fast…hooray! *staples poster to forehead* OW! not smart…but now I have a poster on my forehead!
175- Anything we can think of doing, which probably includes adventures.
174 – I dunno. That would have to be RPed. But, at least to start with, it would probably just be going to classes and stuff. Any plot twists would probably get introduced later. I really don’t know.
well, maybe we just have our own small, temporary adventures. so it doesn’t stop after one. you know, a band of students goes here…etc.
This sounds like an idea whose time has come. I’ve created the RPG thread.
WHERE IS IT? IT’S NOT ON THE MAIN PAGE!
182- It’s here.
Oh. There it is. *is dumb*
Yay! Thank you Robert!
Oh, and you have no idea how long I just sat on this page refreshing, so I could see and post on the Muse Academy RPG thread as soon as it came up. I refreshed for about 6 minutes, with only occasional breaks.
Then I took a break and it came up. But oh well.
Thank you Robert!
I think this thread should still be used as a world building thread (class schedules, classes, teachers, discriptions, other stuff like that) but the new thread can be for the actual RPing.
There were just 3-4 posts in a row that all started with Yay on the Recent Comments. All about the RPG thread. Cool.
How are we sorted when we’re actually in the RPG?
187 – Um…I dunno. Feather’s carrot speaks to us? I’d better figure it out fast, since my character is going to get sorted pretty soon. Yours as well.
Some background knowledge for MA: It’s one or two years old, so some students have been there before, but students from all grades are still pouring in. If this year’s students have already been sorted, then I’ll be a late arrival, otherwise I’ll assume that the people who have declared their house already in the RPG are second/third year students.
How about when you first apply to Muse Academy you get a “personality survey” that’s about 200 questions long, and based off of your answers they tell you what house you’re in when you get there? Or something like that.
189- Okay. I think I’ll write the personality survey.
While I’m taking notes.
Will it be mostly multiple choice or essay questions?
190 – Maybe you should just add to the one that was started on the last thread. Except straighten it up a little so all As are Coontz, all Bs are Lasley, all Cs are Spector, or something like that, so you don’t have to guess what all the combonations of letters mean.
oh, I just posted about that kinda on the other thread…
192- Oh well. Inside they find out their test results.
193 – Yeah, that’s what I was thinking.
I can think of a few adventures right off the bat that we could have.
we need to think up a schedule, right? first let’s decide on different classes, and then the different times for them.
182-oh yeah, it didn’t show up for me for about a minute, too. I freaked out.
How many years should MA last?
((It covers secondary school, at least: the six years from grades 7 through 12, in the American system. I haven’t made up my mind whether it should include a primary school as well. Maybe a couple of primary grades. Age 10 is a nice round number. Any opinions?))
We should have a mini-MA for 5th and 6th graders. Like, not full blown MA, but sort of an intro course. It’s basically a magnet school, but you get to do Muserly-ish activities (fencing, archery, art, stuff like that). And you don’t have to be a Muser to get in, but Muses are often used as reference guides for projects and clases and stuff.
And I think that for characters, everyone can have one teacher and one student, and that’s it. But everyone who already has three characters or two students or two teachers or anything like that can be grandfathered in, and just not be allowed to make any more charactrs.
All in favor on either measure say “Aye”.
((199- I don’t think there should be an age limit. as long as you can do the work, You can start at any age. and you can do moe then one grade a year.))
200-I’ll say ‘aye’ to the second. Everybody should be able to participate in the original school we thought up.
200- Aye!
200- Aye, aye.
TMFA, got to the RPG thread.
go to, not ‘got to’
200- aye for the first.
I think that we should be able to have two people and one teacher. per person.
Hmm, okay…
-reworks it-
All MuseBloggers can automatically choose to go to Muse Academy starting in Grade 7. Any younger than that and you have to take an extra test proving you’re mature enough. (not really, but let’s just pretend) You can also CHOOSE to go to that earlier school (so,for example, your character could have already gone to that school for a year or two before coming to MA.)
And for the second one…
I actually agree with TMFA. 2 students and one teacher per person sounds okay to me, as long as it doesn’t get too confusing.
Re-vote:
1. Do you like this new idea for grades and stuff?
Yes
No
2. How many characters should be allowed?
1 student, 1 teacher
2 students, 1 teacher
Other
2. One student/one teacher sounds reasonable. we’ll need teachers, but two students will be too much.
208 – Okay.
Voting will end at 11:59pm blog time. Unless not many people vote, and then we’ll extend it.
207- 1. Yes
2. 2 students, 1 teacher.
oh, and for 1.-yes.
200-Aye, Aye.
199-Is there a lucky Muse number? If there is, and it’s over five and under twelve, we should use that one. As long as it’s not seven. That would be copying Harry Potter, right?
207-I already have two students and one teacher written into the story, so if that’s the limit, that’s okay with me.
Ages? 10-18. That would encompass pretty much anyone “muserly”.
212 – 42. Oh, wait, that’s over 12. 9, maybe? Since there’s 9 Muses? That would basically be 4th grade.
1. Sounds good to me.
2. 2 students, 1 teacher
1.Yes.
2. Two students, one teacher.
212,213- 9 to eighteen, but you can start at any age you want.
9 = year one
10 = year two
11 = year three
12 = year four
13 = year five
14 = year six
15 = year seven
16 = year eight
17 = year nine
18 = year ten
Current tallies:
1.
Currently being rewritten again
2.
1 student/1 teacher: 1
2 students/1 teacher: 4
216 – Wait, but that would mean that Cat (who is 12) is a 4th year, when this is her first year.
Where exactly is the island, or is no location given? I was thinking of the North Atlantic for some strange reason.
218 – I really don’t know.
218,219- Iceland, I think.
218,219- Off the coast of Iceland, OBVIOUSLY! I thought that was common knowledge. Oh well. Maybe neither of you were around back then.
217- Hmm. Right. Let’s redo that.
9 = grade one
10 = grade two
11 = grade three
12 = grade four
13 = grade five
14 = grade six
15 = grade seven
16 = grade eight
17 = grade nine
18 = grade ten
Better?
221- Well, maybe I subconciously remembered, as that is in the North Atlantic.
I think that one student and one teacher is better, to avoid confusion, but if there really need to be more students, then two students and one teacher per person.
As for the grades, I like Alice’s new idea.
Is writing home on Sundays like Roald Dahl described in Boy a good idea?
224 – That’s kind of what the Postcards from Muse Academy thread is for, I assume.
And by the way, that = good book.
I thought that we could write home as needed.
226 – Same. It shouldn’t be a requirement, but you can if you want.
I’m in Coontz house.
That means… ?
…What do we do here?
Grade three? I started subscribing to Muse at age nine, and started posting at age nine or ten. I’m also advanced in school.
I have no idea what that counts for. Nothing? Everything?
…I’m getting either very sleepy or very hyper.
The home page of the web browser is the MuseBlog!
muff. I’m grade six. okay, I guess…
221- Wait so, the numbers on the right are ages???? Then I’m in grade……2 or 3. Depends.
I say we just have plan old grades, but they aren’t that “real”.
That makes Beavo a fifth year and Michael a fourth year.
I thought Beavo was a second year, but he’s thirteen.
And Michael is a Neophyte, yet he’s twelve.
I’m totally confused.
Anyway.
Yeah… I’m in third year. In Coontz house.
*picks up bags* Okay, where do I move in?
I killed a thread. Joy. Well, anyway… what now?
I can greet you on the RPG thread if you want.
I think a lot of the action has moved to the Muse Academy RPG thread, but there’s still plenty of work to be done here.
I think the grades are merely what you would be in if you started Muse Academy as soon as you could. Most of these students are coming in late, since they didn’t know about MA, so the grades are kind of messed up.
Well, what do we do now? I’m all set and ready to move in to Coontz house… where do I set up?
This thread is pretty much dead .
yup. hooray. it’s nice to look at…
Hey, it better not be dead!
I took the quiz and I’m in Coontz House.
Also – slight change of topic here – I read a lot of webcomics, and I was looking at the Top 100 rankings and found…
A COMIC CALLED MUSE ACADEMY!!
If everyone already knows this, I’m sorry. If someone on here wrote it, then I know where you got the name. But if neither of these are true, then they stole the name! Or if they didn’t steal it, then that is seriously weird…
242 – Visit the RPG thread.
232–I say we get grades like in HP. Outstanding, Exceeds Expectations, Acceptable, Poor, Dreadful and Troll.
Also, perhaps a new thread could be started that has all the vital Muse Academy information contained in the top section. I lurrve Muse Academy, but I don’t really want to scroll through two threads’ worth of posts to figure out what we’ve all decided on. Unless someone wants me to. I AM, after all, bored out of my skull with my third day of vacation, and this would be a useful task for me. Just say the word! ^__^ Quintessentia the Scribe.
did YOU get troll?!
Nothing is happening on the RPG thread. We need another “event”, like the ghost ship. Some kind of event… an invasion by the Mole People, even!
246- the bunny is hatching!
I have read an awful lot of this thread, but I stopped around post 140, I think.
59 – I love that the Lasley uniforms are hot pink, and I’d love to have uniforms as just capes and then otherwise whatever we want, yet I don’t like the Lasley uniforms, because a person at my current Reality school always wears hot pink and black, and I don’t like her very much.
groundhog22 (post 123) – I know that you already picked Lasley House (like me – whee!), but I wanted to say that I also got 1 of each Coontz, Spector, and Lasley. If you read post 197 of Part 1, you’ll see I just picked one instead of being assigned one. Well, you can pick another even if the quiz clearly rules you to a house, I guess. And being “assigned” isn’t quite the right word. But you get what I mean. I hope.
81- BEAVO!!!! You forgot ME! 129- Alice you forgot me too! Oh well, I was here for all that, but I guess it’s been a long time and I just haven’t been on as frequently as I used to…… but still. I didn’t really take the quiz, but when we were doing the role playing I was definitely there. Anyway, I have an idea for a “special event” maybe we could do something like going back in time, or there could be an invasion! OR we could do something with a floating island, and a mystery about the grounds where MA is…… I don’t know. They migh sound stupid too.
249- I was almost gone by the time you came onto the RPG. I didn’t realize you were in Spector. Sorry.
I’m in Coontz! And I am trying to draw a House Crest, incorporating most of the types of science: physics, chemistry, biology, Earth science (volcanoes, plates, etc.), and electricity (what kind of science is that?) Does anyone have any ideas for something I may have missed?
i don’t have a house….
252 – Then take the quiz. Wait, where IS the quiz???
I would like to sign up for Pie-Kwan Do…
Ebeth’s Muse Academy House Placement Quiz was first posted on the first Muse Academy thread:

SSPPEECCTTOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!
i actually got ACC, but close enough.
59- oh dear, wouldnt we look like christmas? why those colors again?
251- isnt electricity part of physics?? i wouldnt know i havent taken physics yet but thats what i thought.
wooo im back in 7th grade!
246– can we join the RPG?
….likenow?
255- Welcome to Spector!
255, in response to colors – Maybe. Maybe not. No. We’d look like Roses, which is what we are.
255 – Welcome to Spector!
this is really great,
are we going to have threads for various Muse Academy classes/clubs ?
the students must be educated!
and what is this is hear about 2 academies? are we *gasp!* segregated by gender?? :O
257+258 – thanks

260-
ahhh see i saw south now,
well i noticed there is that whole application for MAS and i couldn’t find an application for MA, and i already applied to MAS, and is this where we are located in reality?
aaaa this is terribly confusing…
We GAPAs have assumed that just being on the blog automatically makes you a Muse Academy student. Apparently our New Zealand MBers have different rules for their Muse Academy South. The logistics of attending two schools on opposite sides of the world is something students will have to work out for themselves.
There should be a seperate RPG for MAS. Otherwise, it may get very disorganized.
264 – That was discussed before. I believe the consensus was that they could share a thread, but at the start of your post you would say which academy you were writing for.
Hey! I’m in Coontz!
(264, 265) I think a separate thread is a good idea, to minimize confusion. Here you go.
NerdAndProudOf It has sent us this lovely parchment manuscript of the Lasley House Song:
RPG Story Arcs so far:
Welcome to Muse Academy: Posts 1-328 of Part One
The Ghost Ship: Posts 329 of P1- 7 of P2
In the Underground Tunnels: 211 of P2-112 of P3
Crisis of Worlds: 113- ongoing
268-Ooh! You posted it!
on the topis of uniforms-I don’t care. I’m not London Tipton. Although…id prefer not to wear polos.
Uniforms? Please, PLEASE nothing too fancy. Something light and comfortable.
They’re not uniforms exactly, but I’ve noticed a lot of Spector House denizens have taken to wearing their aprons even when they’re outside the kitchen. You can tell by the bits of dough and filling stuck to the fabric what sort of pie might soon be flying your way — or better yet, waiting for you to devour if you stop by for a visit.
Uniforms? Bleh….unless they’re just cloaks or something. I would like a cloak!
We could wear whatever color cloak, but have a house pin or something.
I made designs for Coontz and Lasley houses, but Baker and Spector are harder. I’m going to send them in soon!
Okay, the Crisis of Worlds arc ended at post 362 of Part Three, when the Navy burst through the door.
JUST PASSING BY.
Waitaminute.
On the House quiz, I got ADC! What house would that put me in?
Story arcs, continued:
Battle with the Myth-mash Monster: 141- 321 of Part Four (Get it, “Myth-match” because it’s a mish-mash of mythical monsters?).
The Hall of Portals/The Infinite Library: 322 of P4-76 of P5 (Although there’s a lot of loose ends, this arc may not be fully over.)
The Riddle: 88-ongoing
276- I got DBD, so I canceled out the ones that contained C, since A appeared in all of them (except Spector, but that had 2 C’s). Then It was a tossup between Lasley and Baker, but since I have no Photoshop skills whatsoever, I decided on Baker.
Foundation courses. A communications class should cover all media, teaching en how to express themselves powerfully in writing, speech, and visual creation. Philosophy and logic would also be helpful, but not as necessary.
On a funny sidenote, I discovered that The University of Iceland only costs $400, and apparently this applies to international students as well. I can’t find anything to the contrary. So, I could go to college in Iceland. And they have a museum studies program! I think the language barrier is the biggest problem.
