  1. It’s my first snow day of freshman year, which means I don’t have to go to a pep rally today!
And The Fault in Our Stars finally got here!
And I think this might be my first first post ever!!

  2. My econ class was cancelled today, and Spanish was fun and interesting. Oh, and it turns out my sociology recitation is actually meeting only four times this semester; the rest is online. That’s pretty good luck, I think.

  3. Whew, well I didn’t have the best of days (the obnoxious five posts in a row on the Random thread will tell you that) but I suppose I was lucky in that I didn’t lose anything terribly important like my phone or ID card or anything. Still, losing anything really is quite awful, really rotten bad luck.

Also, we got almost all our exams back and I’m doing okay (A’s in everything except an A- in math and goodness knows what in Euro – hopefully it’s at least a B, anyway. I’ll be happy with a B, given the teacher.)

  4. Um. There was a sub in band today. That was fun. Not really.
The trumpet players temporarily lost their ability to play, and I could hear the baritones playing random notes.
The critical slide injury with blood, however, was legitimate.
At the end, a terribly polite alto sax player apologized to the sub director on behalf of the entire band.

  5. I had a little kokonvention coffee with a smart and interesting dude! Later, I attended a lunch party with fun people- our hijinks had onlookers from toddlers to the maitre d’ laughing, and I received some (shockingly) nice gifts. I’m very lucky to have such great people in my life, they made today the happiest I’ve had in quite some time.

  6. 103/100 on my Math test, English teacher was in a better mood today, and I managed to write a semi-coherent essay in about fifty minutes.

Then again, my thumbnail broke painfully and we lost power for an hour, so I suppose the bad luck balanced out the good.

                1. It’s now even-tide, and I found an alternate way I could have replied: “I’m sorry you’re tongue-tied. Those options are quite different from each other, though; between them, there’s a large divide. If you can’t choose, perhaps in a psychologist you should confide (and no, that remark was not snide, for despite my concern, which of course is completely honest, your post I pied). If there’s a body of water between you and the nearest one, you can wait to cross it until low tide, unless there’s a boat in which you want to ride.

                    1. Choklit Orange, don’t hate – appreciate! (After all, it’s your fate. Now go eat a date.)
((The point of that was to irritate/ you even more. Isn’t that great?))

                    1. Oh, good. It was so unlike you that I wondered if maybe you were joking, but if so, I didn’t get it, and I figured that if you weren’t joking, it would seem rude to act like you were. Thanks for clarifying.

                    2. Princess Bride quotes FTW. In fact, the Princess Bride can pretty much serve as just one huge quote generator.
                      Also, it’s an excellent movie!

                    1. *looks up poisons* and tetramethylammonium hydroxide, and–perhaps–zinc oxide and selenium dioxide.
I think I found the murderesses; no longer shall they hide!

  7. Because I somehow missed this thread until now, I tell you this belatedly:

    Bad Luck:
-Late to school (During finals! Yikes!)
-Spelled the Latin translation of a classmate’s name wrong on her birthday card
-The side of my Latin class I currently sit in finally had its year-long Bluff winning streak broken (as in, when I sat on the other side, it was already the side that always lost).

    Good Luck:
-Still allowed to take the final, despite being late
-Got a 102% on my Economics project
-Got three pieces of candy in one class
-The classmate whose birthday it was didn’t mind, and said she liked the card
-Had a half day of school due to exams
-Had fun at the Voltaire’s Friday the Thirteenth event on another site

I need more Friday the Thirteenths!

      1. Well, actually the star trek fans are more killer than the exams, whether the people with red or yellow shirts die ended up being a screaming fight about which generation was best….
