Yayy another hare-athon. this bunny keeps running and running
i hit my head really hard today in gym. L ran into me and i flew backwards. Apperantly my head was bouncing on the ground ad people on the other side of the gym heard it.
first post?
the blog is boring
when GAPAs sleep
it sinks into a state
of dismal abyss
noone is on
the posts lay in a corner
waiting
waiting to be accepted
waiting to be read by eyes across the world
and so
I go
To find another past time
To wait until tomorrow
When I can post again
A wee poem I just made up on the spot. I know genius eh?
hehe
EXPRESSES DISAPPOINTMENT WITH LACK OF DISNEY
math homework now ohh it is 11:30 fie upon it D:
1-yeah….I didnt hear it cos my supposedly BFF was chasing me with a noodle, but with a head as big as yours Im surprised I missed it (JUST JOKES!!!!!)
darn. I never got to see the prank. presumably that was what the Disney thing was all about, no?
1 – Yesterday, I smashed my hand in a door, landed hard on my rear, and got yelled at my two of my classmates (none of whom are my friends, thank goodness).
Dude, there’ve been almost as many random threads in the past few days as there have been Rocky films.
Disney was great, but it’s nice to have things back to the level of wierdness that we call normal here.
That was fun.
odd pic.
By the way, anyone who missed out on yesterday’s hijinks can still hear the “Mickey Muse Club March” down on the Disney Random Thread. It no longer plays automatically; you have to click the player. Kokopelli himself makes a brief appearance at the very end.
8-Yeah the picture was a little odd.
I;m going to see Horton Hears a Who soon. Yup, HORTON HEARS A WHO!!! Yes very weird.
9- That was weird. It stoped being a-MUSE-ing after the hundredth time.
What ever happened to last month’s saga?
I’m ready to start recording. I’m pretty much going to be following what I wrote the other day, with some minor editions and additions (such as “Here we have an anonymous peon who will demonstrate”). Keep in mind that I will be using my announcer voice; I don’t really sound like that.
13 – Cool. Good luck.
12 – I agree. What hatched from the egg? Do we really want to know?
OMG I’M FREAKING OUT.
Congratulations! Your team has been selected
as a potential regional winner for the 2007-2008
eCYBERMISSION competition.
For people who don’t know (most people, likely) eCYBERMISSION is a math and science competition that I obsessed over for most of February. I am literally freaking out right now.
Plus, at least 2 other groups from my school got that message as well. There’s a chance that as many as 2-3 teams might win for our school. And THAT would be cool.
16- Ooh congratulations!
I’m changing my name. Karin is my 1st name and my middle name is Taylor. I just wanted to be a bit more gender specific, and I was tired of my old name.
I finished recording. Because the recorder on my computer only does 60-second clips, I split it into two. They’ve been emailed to the GAPAs.
I just got back from a really great walk! I took the bus from school to the Barnes & Noble, which is about 3 miles from my house, and got a birthday present for THF, then walked to the bus stop to take a bus home. After standing there for about a minute, I decided it was boring, so I just started walking home! About 45 minutes later, here I am…and I had a flamablamablous walk! It was nice, because it was sunny, and a bit windy, and my backpack wasn’t *too* heavy — I only had 2 binders and 2 textbooks.
18- Oh, excellent.
16 – Good job! I know how you feel, being a competitor in a lot of academic competitions myself.
16-Congrats! Thats absolutely fantastic!
Disney was wonderful but I like normal wierdness too!
Hello all, prepare for exuberance….
MY CONCERTINA CAME TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, sanity. It came, and I’m very, very excited. I already figured out two songs. Ooh, aah, Hot Cross Buns and Diddle Diddle. Two very, very simple songs, but it’s a start and I’m thrilled.
Before I bore you all to no end, I will submit this comment and go see what’s been up since the last time.
Oh, GAPAs, I just noticed that the usual blue background of the top of the page is gone…..I’m asuming that it’s left over from the cleanup of the whole Disney thing yesterday, but in case you missed it I thought I’d remind…*coughnagcough*
Ah, cool picture!
Nothing is happening in my life, so I shan’t bore you with the details of nothing.
12- I think this picture depicts what hatched…
Urgh Science Olympiad Regionals are on Saturday. Bus leaves at 7; have to get up at 6. ON A SATURDAY. And the night before is supposed to be for cramming but NO, they HAD to plan the school dance (complete with DDR and Rock Band) that night. Woe is me… *dies*
26- No, the picture depicts the broken eggshells.
HOORAY!!! Museblog is back to normal!
26-I feel your pain. Science Olympiad Regionals is for me also. Talk about SCARY!!!! I feel like I have studied everything there is to study, and I don’t know what to do! And other times I feel hopeless because I feel like I don’t know anything and I do, and my partner in one of my events is totally crushing!
26 – I was in a very similar situation before state MathCounts. Of course, I didn’t go to the school dance and crammed instead.
Oy. That sounds really intense. These days, my life is mostly harmless, which is nice.
I’m off for now- gotta fo and play with my new toy…..and make horrid noises without fear of having anyone hear me….what fun!!
See you all later!!!!
No…Disney… *comes back to life*
I just bought thirty one dollars worth of songs for my party on iTunes.
Sooo…yeah. That’s life.
Yay! Muse is back! I don’t have to be a Mousekokoteer anymore do I?
28- Are we at the SAME regionals? Chicago area? *gasps*
I just bought lots of songs on iTunes, too. Even if you’re not interested in hearing them, here they are!
Crushcrushcrush-Paramore
Bleeding Love-Leona Lewis
Touch My Body-Mariah Carey (SHUT UP! *harrumphs*)
Between the Lines-Sara Bareilles
Stop and Stare-OneRepublic
I’ve Just Seen a Face-Jim Sturgess (Across the Universe)
Realize-Colbie Caillat
Low-Flo Rida (ALSO SHUT UP!)
Speaking of my party, me and Ana made invitations and passed most of them out today. Which is good. Yay!
I had something else to say, but I forgot.
34 – haha you know how the US is supossed to make a song a hit and then it goes to other countries?? Well I’ll have you know that Bleeding Love was on the top 10 here MONTHS ago. Hahaha were not as much of a hole as I thought we were
Song I bought for the party:
Show Me Tha Money, Is It You, 1985, All Star, Crank That, Cupid Shuffle, Deja Vu, Don’t Lie, Fresh Azmiz, Give It Up to Me, Hey Mama, Hey Ya, Hollaback Girl, In The End, I Wanna Love You, Last Night, Mambo No. Five, Pimpin All Over the World, Money Maker, Ridin, Scars, SexyBack, She’s Like The Wind, Smack That, Sk8er Boi, So What, The Way I Are, This is Why I’m Hot, U Can’t Touch This, We Fly High, and Whats Luv?
I Bought Crank That for party purposes only, not because I liked it. Ew.
37- 1985! The Bowling For Soup song?
26, 28 – If you don’t mind me asking, what is Science Olympiad? I compete in Science Bowl, and I have heard that Science Olympiad and Science Bowl are the two most common middle school science competitions, but I don’t actually know what Science Olympiad is (other than the fact that is very different from Science Bowl). Would you mind informing me?
Meow – Congratulations! *cheers*
Fiddler – Ooh. I’ve never seen a concertina. Is it cool?
My new goals:
• Learn to play the hurdy-gurdy
• Learn to speak Welsh
I got a Welsh book from the library today. The hurdy-gurdy might be a little harder, since my school doesn’t offer that as a class.
School is…slow. I don’t need more than two explanations of whatever we’re learning, and yet I get anywhere from five to nineteen. :sulky:
I did my monologues today, so I won’t have to do them again ever in my life if I don’t want to. Yay!
40 – Congratulations on everything except your school being slow. My sympathy on that. My 2nd grade teacher spent the whole year teaching us how to carry. I did not like him. At. All.
40 – Welsh? I’ve been interested in Welsh ever since I read The Dark is Rising. Enough so that I actually searched for every word from Welsh in the dictionary and read through all their definitions (only about 100 or maybe a little more, about half of which weren’t really from Welsh).
I just got back from drama rehearsal. Six o’clock to 10:45. My feet hurt.
GAPAs, did you get those?
(43) Yes, we got the clips. We’re still in recovery from the effort required to be relentlessly perky, so we have some catching up to do.
40) What is the hurdy-gurdy?
Wow. Welsh is supposedly one of the most difficult languages to learn. They have really weird sounds too. Of course, you never know how weird a language sounds when you have a fluent 6 year old who you don’t know insulting you in it. This actually happened to me, and the kid was speaking Welsh. *long story don’t ask*
45- The hurdy-gurdy’s one of those instruments Paul plays. It’s cool.
My Welsh attempts:
*gets out Welsh book*
*tries to pronounce some of the words*
*butchers them*
I don’t know where to put the stretches! And I keep pronouncing it as though it was Spanish.
Eight days until Yuri’s Night!
46) That’s OK. When we went to Wales, I tried to pronounce the language but stopped when I tried to pronouce the Welsh word for ” Wales”.
I’m confused is hooray/hurray spelled
h-o-o-r-a-y or h-u-r-r-a-y? I’ve seen it
spelled both ways lately! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
49 – I believe that both are acceptable spellings.
Hello peoples!
I’m back simply to tell you that I’m not going to be back till May…
Aaahhhh! MB ate my post I think..
Anyway, I’m not here till may.
(51, 52) Thanks for dropping by!
52-I’m having troubles similar to that too! ! ! ! ! ! !
48- Apparently Gwynedd is pronounced Goouneth. Is that what put you off?
The eggshells are… melting. And weird shapes are appearing in them.
56- They looked strangely like bunny footprints to me. Any input.
57- I was thinking bunny ears, but footprints sound more likely.
49–I think “Hurray” is the English version
Ick. I just went running for the first time in like three months. I HATE BEING OUT OF SHAPE!!!!!!!!
*discreetly dies of overdosage of economic terms*
Erk!
*growls not-altogether-discreetly*
48 – Potted guide :
It’s spelled “Cymru”. But Welsh speeling is a bit weird.
The C is hard, as in “cast”.
The y in this position represents the neutral vowel, which is used all the time in English, but we don’t have a symbol for it. It’s the sound of “er” at the end of “Father”.
The u is pronounced like English y.
So, without resorting to the actual phonetic alphabet, you could approximate it as
Kermry
As long as you remember the “er” is short, and don’t roll the r, you won’t be too far off.
40~ Yes, it is cool. Very, very cool. ABout at cool as a hurdy gurdy. (Another instrument I love, by the way. You’re sure we aren’t twins?)
So, progress report: I actually made it through Blow the Man Down without messing up!! I can play several opther tunes too, but I always have to start and stop to get the notes/timing/belows movement/etc. right. Well, right-ish. Now I’m on the computer for a little bit so I can rest my poor tired pinkies and then go hack away at my violin…….and then read or watch a movie or sleep, or whatever else I might want to do… Like play the concertina some more!!!!
(61) Remember, though, that Brits like Paul don’t pronounce the “r” in “father”; most Americans do. Paul’s “Kermry” would probably sound more like “Cumry” to us.
58 – I think the egg hatched and it is hopping… *gasp* Hare-athon! I GET IT!!!!!
61 – In linguistics terms, the neutral vowel would be a schwa which is represented by an upside down e.
64-Yes. Oh me oh my! Yes. They look a bit like exclamation points too.
Today I was in my sister’s room…
And I was attacked…
By a vicious bloodthirsty…
MOTHER GERBIL!
I was trying to pet the babies and it bit me, and I had to shake it off of my hand. I love gerbilssssss!
Grades close tomorrow for third quarter.
I think I might have just barely managed to stay on Honor Roll.
But I still have a problem with French National Honor Society.
You see, I have to maintain at least an A- average in French.
I either have a B or B- in French right now…
Mmmmm, tea. English Toffe, with a bit of honey in. Yum. My fingers were getting really cold too, so it’s nice to hold. *is happy*
68- Third quarter? Our school divides the semester into thirds.
Have you noticed how schools are starting to come up with weird, oversimplified names for subjects? Biology is Life Science, P.E. is Life Fitness, History is American/World Studies-
Goodnight all, I’m off for now. See you later, most likely raving about my new concertina or the Gaelic Storm concert that I’m going to. WWWHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Life is swell/groovy/cool/awesome/supercalafragilisticexpealidosios! At least for the moment. Ah, don’t you just love bong in the throes of teenage-ism?
68- Oh, wow. Our quarter doesn’t end until… I don’t know. Sometime in mid-April. I hope and pray I can keep my 4.0.
Our school doesn’t seem to do + and -. Well, except for A+, but other than that, I’ve never had a plus or minus tacked onto my grade (or did I have an A- once?)
70- Hmm. The only odd name I can think of is Global Studies for Social Studies/History (I think…)
I think I might go and make some sort of feeble attempt to revive the poetry thread (that was not meant to sound bitter, it just came out that way and I am too zoned from screnzying to fix it). Sorry!
Woops! I’m awfully sorry, but I didn’t realize there was a new version. Please be so good as to forgive my impudent requests!
(74) That’s all right. I’ve been meaning to tell you but was interrupted every time I started to post a comment.
Yes! please everyone go to the poetry thread!
AP TEST IN 35 DAYS
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
WHAT A FUNNY JOKE I HAVE TOLD
Grade for third quarter are meaningless to me. It’s only near the semester end that I begin to fully wallow in the sorrow and desperation of 88.2%. Woe to me.
So I have a concussion. See post 1 for how I did it
71 – Concertinas can go to your head. Which is good, because they’re wonderful beasts. Almost as wonderful as hurdy-gurdies.
When you get really good, there are some Victorian virtuoso pieces that were popular in the music halls. Now there’s something to aspire to.
and nnoone seems to care.
The referees made us run the mile in our skimpy uniforms yesterday, and now I’ve got the sniffles.
80 – Aw. Please accept sympathy and some virtual choklit.
WANTED: MUSEBLOGGERS WILLING TO BE IN A SCRIPT FRENZY SCRIPT.
Job Description: You will be featured in my Muse Academy script for Script Frenzy, as a minor character or even a main character, depending on where the story goes. Several people who apply will be featured as part of a Muse Academy-deployed Emergency Rescue Squad and will get to fly in a helicopter to save Cat’s Meow, Alice, and IBCF.
Salary: A one-time payment of 100 Pie Points
How to Apply: Post a description of yourself, including age, gender, appearence, interests, personality, and what name you want to be in by (preferably something related to your blog name. For example, Cat’s Meow might be shortened to Meow for simplicity’s sake). You can also choose to post classes that you might be interested in taking at Muse Academy, but that’s optional. Applications can be posted on the Hare-athon thread, or on the Script Frenzy Countdown thread, where they are more likely to be noticed.
68- Oh god don’t remind me. I got a 4.0 1st and 2nd quarter but I think I have a B in two subjects for third and OH CRAP GOSHDARNIT… *sighs* Well I think I’ll do okay 4th. But it’s a given that I’ll get on high honor roll though!
Wow. Windstream lets the DSL line go down for two days and look what happens.
83- Ooo, I’m in your script frenzy? *honored*
80) I care! *gives choklit* I hope you don’t suffer permanent brain damage!
83) OK! I’ll do it. *has no idea what she’s getting herself into*
82 – I accept your chokolit
87 – its not a severe concussion!!! thank god – Merchant of Venice opens in 2 days
86 – You, Alice, and I are the main characters right now, mostly because I knew what we looked like and stuff. I’m probably messing up all of our personalities, but it should be all right. I hope.
Concussion, eh? My sympathies.
Tonight and tomorrow, 42nd Street is being presented at our high school. I am “Mac,” the stage manager of the play within the play. Currently, I’m working on a satire of it that points out anything silly. Quote: “Here we can see Peggy arriving in NY. Somehow she doesn’t get mugged immediately upon her arrival, even though it’s both the Depression and NY.”
Good day everyone! *Tips hat*
I suppose you have wondered where I’ve been. Or maybe not. But I’m going to tell you anyway.
Well, I haven’t been on the blog. I stopped in a while back, but I haven’t actually lurked for a long time. A LOT has been going on, and so I haven’t had mounds of spare time to shovel out to different worthy causes.
I would also say that MuseBlog has seemed very different lately. Mind you I’m not saying I’m leaving or anything. But as I get older, I too have felt as many old (in MuseBlog and physical years) bloggers have. The blog just seems to be moving so fast and yet getting nowhere, as if everybody is getting in each other’s way. It’s odd. The Blog always seemed a bit fast-moving, and plenty of people posted (me being certainly an active blogger myself, I’ll add). But lately, although no more people seem to be posting, they seem to be posting faster and in greater hurry. It’s hard to keep up, and things happen before you can say anything about them.
Also, I will add, lately the blog has seemed extremely unwelcoming to me as a person. No matter where I seem to express my opinion, I get smacked down by many bloggers who used to be good friends who appreciated me. I don’t know that I have changed. I may be showing my opinion more frequently, but that shouldn’t be a problem. So I ask you, will I be allowed to peacefully express my opinions as I always have, or will I be “banned” (not physically, but still) because my opinions disagree with too many others? I know this sounds strange, but it’s true. If people cannot read my posts without becoming angry and posting with flaming and such, it is neither appealing to me to post nor kind to anyone who doesn’t wish to see angry posts on our blog.
Apologies if I am not making sense, but since I’ve been away so long I wanted to update you on my condition
89-Good grief! Be careful! That’s terrible, even if it isn’t a very bad one! *Hands chocolate*
Meow-I’m afraid I must tell you this: You can’t offer piepoints unless you have traded something with me that I give you piepoints for. I’m open to that if you like, but they are not just open for general use without proper payment for them. Sorry! *Hands pie (not piepoint, just pie, which is quite tasty! )* What things do you have to offer, and how many piepoints do you want? Also, since you are a member of Zemtee, you can automatically receive 100 piepoints if you let me know so I can change my name. But, you might want them for your own use, and so might not want to trade them for somebody’s salary…
IBCF, what happened to your piepoints? I haven’t seen anyone with piepoints around, actually. What happened?
Red-tailed HAWK
92 – Hmmm…I thought somebody had given me piepoints at some point…or maybe those were some sort of other points. I’m really not sure. My apologies.
91- That is SO funny!
Today’s my bloggversairy!
*Little Jig*
92 – How do I become a member of the Zemetee???? I would really like to know
93-No problem! Would you like your free 100 piepoints?
95-Congratulations! *Pies* Wait, on who’s here it says 04/08/07. Well, have the pies anyway!
96-Head to The Zemtee Thread and I’ll help you find a position that you would like. There are many good ones left, so anybody is welcome to come!
Red-tailed HAWK
83 – Sure:
Age: 12
Gender: Female
Appearance: Fairly long extremely curly to the point of being frizzy brown hair, short, brown eyes, glasses
Interests: fantasy novels, computers, math, science, spelling/words (listed from approximately least important to most important)
Personality: Generally kind though often fiercely critical, knows way too many random facts (particularly useless words) and likes to incorporate them in conversation.
Name: speller73, or you could just stick with speller
“Le la la koola! Paba! Shoo flee…”
That has been the simlish quote of the day.
Translation:
“Help me, I really need something! Pain! We have a problem here…”
95 – Happy Bloggversairy! One or two years?
91 – Ooh! I have piepoints! 111 of them!
What? How do you get piepoints then if you don’t already have any? And if you get them from other people, how did the other people get them? And if they got them from other people……….
102-Well, here’s their history. I hope it helps:
Just after PC invented spdzk points (I believe he started with 100, or some other incredibly small number) I decided I wanted to create a point that would be valuable, but which everyone could easily obtain. By this I mean there are enough for everybody if they are distributed.
However, it has been difficult to hand them out. I have been giving them away and people still won’t take them. See, I made 10,000 to start. I had them all, and I intended to distribute them across everybody. But not everybody wants them, and some people forget, or leave them out of their name when they get them. So it has still been disorganized.
If anybody wants some, let me know, I need to get rid of them! Just remember to keep them in your name until you trade them with somebody else.
Red-tailed HAWK
RTH – may I pease have some points??? I am heading over to the Zemetee thread right now
103- Yes, I started with 100.
103 – Can I have a few piepoints? I’ll accept some!
79~ that will be quite a while. Although I’;m very proud of making it thruogh Maid of Ampsterdam, Blow the Man down and Liliburlero WITHOUT mistakes. I even managed a few others WITh mistakes (many, many mistakes). *has an over-inflated ego*
78~ Ow. I really hope you’re feeling better soon. *sympathy*
92~ I am always glad to read your posts. I have noticed that you get a lot of bashing on some of the threads, sometimes I mean to say something and then forget, but I do usually support your ideas, whether I say so or not.
83~ Okay.
Physical desription: Short-ish, mastly straight hair (waist long at the moment, but I intend to cut it to chin length soon) blue/grey/greenish eyes that change color depending on what I’m wearing, wears jeans, t-shirts and sneakers most of the time. Hair is usually left hanging in face or in two braids. (see kokonvention pictures)
Personality: Varies wildly depending on mood place and company. Talks a lot, laughs easily, is energetic, goes on long tangents, teases and tells jokes.
107 – Thanks!
i dont get the picture……..it appears to be a hot pink bunny-printed wallpaper that has broken out in hot pink boils.
109- The “boils” are rabbit footprints.
109 – I know, I don’t get it either.
108~ Yup. Do you need any more?
Hello, everyone! I don’t have much to say except that I’m still here. I haven’t been posting for a while (well, a couple days at least) but I have been lurking and such. It’s just that track season has started, and I’ve been really busy. But it’s worth it! I’m on the varsity team, w00t! Also, we had a meet yesterday and one tomorrow, and practice every day except Sunday and some Saturdays. So, I took a really long time to say this, but if I’m not here for a while, don’t panic. I’m not dead, although after some practices it’s sort of hard to tell.
Sorry for the possible double post, but my comment box keeps shrinking once I fill up to original space. (It’s like its subtley hinting to hurry up!)
83: why not? I’m a 15 year old female human. I have light brown hair a few inches past my shoulders, dark brown eyes, and glasses. I’m fairly short for my age.
Interests: running(see last post), playing my violin, reading
personality: I’m pretty shy, but when I’m with my friends you would never know. Sometimes I can be defensive if I don’t know someone very well, but everyone tells me how nice I am. I try to be supportive of my friends and teammates.
You can call me Ginger if you want.
97- Oh, you’re right. Oops.
I’ll take some points! Cause then I can give them to other people when I’m happy!
38-Yeah.
83-*raises hand*
Would it be too much to ask to skip the PiePoints and head to the Muse Fanfiction thread where I’ve got, like, ten?
75-Thanks. I just posted on it. Squee!
81-Ooh! I run track too! Do you do long distance or short? Please say long.
78/80-*gives virtual choklit* Feel betta!
I think I may have mentioned this but if I haven’t (I’am almost certain I have no idea why I am writing this) the footprints sure do look like exclamation points. I am not doing any history all night. Woot! Yay. Ok. Enough of that. I really am at a loss for what to post. Ah well. I know I’ll think of something as soon as I’ve hit submit.
Ugh.
The Bad News: I have an enormous English project coming up.
(My current HW load looks like this:
Crossword for Science: Due Monday, one question left to go
Math questions: Due Monday, about one-third done
Enormous Quarter 3 final English project: Due Tuesday, hardly even begun
Field and Lab report + group discussion question: Due Wednesday, not begun.)
The Good News: None.
The Interesting Bits: I wore my my double-pronged hairstick to school today. I felt like I was wearing a lethal weapon in my hair.
Please head to the Muse Academy RPG https://musefanpage.com/blog/?p=1212
Muse Academy South has just opened for registration
Or should we have a seperate thread for Muse Academy South???
119-Ouchy! *pies with homework vaccine pie* My sympathies. I am having my Friday night procrastination seesion though I should be doing *dies discreetly* I do not even want to think about it.
Yes! I have an A- in English and in Gym! And I don’t know any of my other classes yet.
OK WE DEFINATLY NEED A NEW TREAD FOR MUSE ACADEMY SOUTH!!!!!!!!! I AM GETTING YELLED AT AND PEOPLE ARE MAD AT ME!!!!!!
Drat! I ruined my alter ego
125 – I hate it when that happens!
126 – an di had put such good clues up too.

.130 -its a perfect lenght now!!! thanks!!!
Now GAPAs about the Muse Academy South thread…..
Ok gapas – since you arent saying anything here is the Muse Academy South sheet!!
What is Muse Academy South?
Muse Academy South (MAS) is a unique school built in 2008 to tailor to the extraordinary child. These children are all unique – they alone will one day take over the world and save it from destruction from HBPs. At MAS we nurture them, give them the attention they need, and guide them through life. We are a dedicated school and we offer a wide variety of classes to choose from, all of which take place in our ultra-modern school.

Where Muse Academy South is located:
A small island called Calliope Tenric off the southern tip of Antarctica. This island is 3 miles by 5.98 miles in size (or 17.94 square miles). Calliope Tenric has a rough rocky shore, is always a temperature of 73 degrees Fahrenheit (even when it snows, but the snow doesn’t melt), is usually rainy, has 8 known caves, and has a water temperature of 62 degrees Fahrenheit year round.
What does Muse Academy South look like?
MAS is a large, stone castle that was built in the late 1700s. Because of Calliope Tenric’s unique climate, the castle has fared very well and has been renovated to have all modern and futuristic appliances. All technology is updated every month.
What (if any) is the uniform?
MAS requires all students to wear sensible, smart-looking clothing. We encourage students to wear Muse clothing as it is durable, good looking, and has built in bunny protection. We require all students to wear shoes.

How do I enroll?
You do not have to live in the Southern Hemisphere to enroll in MAS. We welcome transfers from our sister school Muse Academy. For an enrollment form, please call our number 555-PWT-PWNS or 555-798-7987 or click HERE
We look forward to seeing you here at MAS!
And for the MA students who wish to attend MAS but don’t want to transfer:
Attention to all Muse Academy students who are interested in Muse Academy South! You do NOT have to transfer. We have worked out an agreement with your school for students who are interested in attending both of our schools. If you would like to attend both schools, you have these options.
1. You can attend MAS when MA is on holiday or vice versa. This works because we are a different schedule.
2. You can come to 1 school for 1 term and the other for the next. You will be able to alternate or choose if you would like to come for 1, 2, or 3 terms.
3. You can do one of our exchange programs. Once MAS is fully set up, we will try to coordinate an inter-school exchange. This will mean that interested parties will be able to switch schools with 1 student for a week or 2.
Remember, we are a VERY accommodating school – please don’t hesitate to ask with any questions.
— Thank You—
132- That sounds lovely. I quite like the idea of going to one when the other is on holiday, but the trouble is, I may want to see my parents now and again.
I am in Thalia-Melpomene.
133 – well you can always come for 1 or 2 holidays. Unfortunatly we are closed over Christmas holiday, so you would always have that time with your parents
132- Wow. That sounds great. I would either be in Eratopolyhmnia or Cliourania.
136 – cool well i am making the “enrollment form” i will post it when its done
83-You can just use my name and take off the extra letters. I like to fly and I want to be a pilot, so it would be great if I could fly the helocopter. I talk very quietly most of the time. I’m average height and skinny, and I have brown eyes and blond/brown hair.
My hockey team lost today, so they are out of the playoffs. (it’s the CHL)
But I got a pin with a picture of the goalie. He’s cuteeeee.
Oh no! the comment box is shrinking! It’s really weired because it only shrinks in the Internet explorer on m laptop.
Muse Academy South Enrollment Form
Don’t worry – everyone gets in this is just to place you!
What is your name?
What age are you?
Are you in Muse Academy?
What house are you in? (If you think you are in 2, out both down and depending on your class choices, we will place you accordingly)
Which classes would you like to take?
Are there any classes you would like to take that we have not added?
Would you like a single or double dorm room?
Is there anything you would like to have at MAS, but you’re not sure we have it?
Is there anything else you would like MAS to know?
I need to get my History and Language Arts grades up or my mother is going to smash half the kitchen plates over my head.
Not literally.
I don’t think…
New Music Obsession: Linkin Park… yeah, I’ve caught the LP bug. Get over it.
I’m posting at 10:52 and I’m really tired.
Please go to the Books in PRogress thread and tell m e if my new beginning stinks.
to write, or not to write
which of these would be quite right
if I did happen to write,
would I be consid’rd uptight
look’d on a snob in thy sight
or should I indeed not right
and oh so reluctantly not fight
for my mild right to write
to pile words to an enormous height
neigh, I think I shall in your spite
continue on and write and write.
Are GAPAs on?
Is it just me, or is the entire internet coming apart at the seams?

everyone…lives breathes loves laughs…..but does everyone speak?
I WENT TO A GAELIC STORM SONCERT LAST NIGHT!!!!!!!!
‘Twas fun. I got a shrt that has a picture of a pair of rubber boots on it and it says “only boys who wear their wellies have a chance with me”- from one of their songs. All the member s of the band signed it and I’m wearing it right now. WHEEEEE!!!!
Argh…pop-up hell. Dad screwed up my computer the other night and I’ve banned him from going online here. So, how many of you have been banned fom the computer? And then, how many of you have banned your parents from the cmputer?!
Anyway, I’m sick of the co,puter trying to sell me a morgage, or and IQ test, or whatever stupid thing it wants to do now. See you all later, when I have the patience to close a gazzilion pop-up ads and I am able to resist the pull of my violin and concertina in my room…… Yes, I’m a pathetic mess, go ahead and make fun of me.
144) I love that song! I have it memorized!
146-Yeahhhh. The sign is a plus, and the one next to it is a minus. I just noticed that. Coooooool!
149-Eww. Popups suck. And how did you ever get away with making a rule for a parent? Everyone I know would be in deep trouble if they tried to do that.
I hate picking up sticks. Which is what I will be doing all day it seems. And not supposed to be on the comp today.
Curses!
Ugh. SO much homework. Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. I think I need to go insult Mr. Joe.
Awesome. I just enlargened my page. Thanks, Logogeo96.
No one wants me to come to their house because they think I’m a stalker or something. I’m so bored.
Zoe (Trebel_Cone_Freeskier): For my Screnzy I need to know which Muse Academy North house you’re in. I’m trying to keep it simple, so I can’t have Muse Academy South, soooo…
Well, you can be a transfer student from Muse Academy South’s Thalia-Melpomene house, but I still need to know what Muse Academy North house you would be in. (My guess is Spector, but I’m not 100% sure)
151~ My mom was just as mad at him as I was…..besides, it’s actually my computer. *evil chuckle* I just am nice and share. But not with dad.

It entirely depends on the roommate.
Is there anything you would like to have at MAS, but you’re not sure we have it?
Not that I can think of right off the bat.
Is there anything else you would like MAS to know?
See above answer.
Wouldn’t “Astronomy” fall under “Science (all types)”?
GUESS WHAT IT’S AMAZING.
I can actually see the “Your comment is awaiting moderation” message.
SQUEE.
…or not.
That’s strange. I just saw it on the last thread I posted on.
New topic of conversation: Who likes to dance? What to? How?
ATTENTION HYPATIA, ZOE, KOKONILLY, and MISSSWAN!
You guys are getting sorted in my Screnzy, and I need to know what house you guys are in. Just in case you forgot…
Spector – Writing
Coontz – Science
Lasley – Art
Baker – Music
Also, I have an OPEN INVITATION for any existing people who are characters, or who would be willing to be, characters in my Screnzy. There are currently two open slots, but if someone feels up to it they can fulfill both.
1. Have your character be always reminding everybody of “The Game”.
(Rules to The Game:
1. You are now playing the game.
2. You are always playing the game.
3. You cannot win. You can only lose.
4. You lose whenever your remember the game.
5. Wheneve ryou remember the game youhave to announce out loud “I lose’.
6. After you lose you have 30 minutes during w hich you can remember the game without losing.
7. As soon as you mention the game to anyone, they begin playing as well.
Congratulations, you’re all playing now. Oh, and I lose.)
OR
2. Have your character be obsessed with The Guide and, specifically, 42
You can be both if you want, I guess.
162 – OOH! OOH! PICK ME! *clears throat* Ahem. I hate dancing.
162 – I just saw your post, sorry if this is a doubke post, but Coontz.
The “Your Comment is Awaiting Moderation” message is messing with me. It keeps showing up on some threads, and then not others.
162-I do (and like) modern dance.
I never really got sorted but I based on what I’ve seen I am going to say Spector.
166-That sounds excessively annoying.
165 – Thanks.
167 – It is.
Oh, and welcome to Spector.
You can’t go wrong with any of the houses. Though there’s always a pie baking for you at Spector.
168-*feels welcomed* Huzzah!
As I have nothing better to do with myself (save homework, which doesn’t count) I think I will now write a long and tedious list of actions.
*twiddles pencil in fingers*
*sets timer for 30 min*
*promises to work without interruption for aforementioned period of time*
*breaks promise repeatedly*
*dances on desk*
*desk collapses*
*feels injured*
*stops typing*
None of those were at all true but I really felt like writing a filler.
170 – Don’t you have a Screnzy you’re supposed to be working on?
Kidding, kidding.
171- *whistles cheerfully* *looks at sky* My, isn’t the weather lovely today. Not a cloud. Sorry, what did you say? I’m afraid I missed it. Oh, but just look at the sky. Such a charming shade of blue.
170- Oh wow. Yes, welcome to Spector! I hate homework, that’s why I don’t do it. I do it, but I try to pretend I’m writing a awesome story that will be a bestseller, but that never works because homework is like 5,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 times more boring than that. Maybe I should add about a hundred more zeroes to that.
RE: Dance: I want to learn English country dancing. And Irish dancing, which probably has a name that i can’t remember.
I went to the Art supply store, and I got construction paper, oil pastels, and a tube of glitter (In the faint hope that if I use lots of glitter, my English teacher will give me extra points). Then I got home, and lo and behold, the construction paper was all black, something I should have noticed in the store if I hadn’t been misled by the extra sheet of paper that claimed it had “rich, opaque colors”. Argh. So now I have four options:
1.) Go back downtown and return it, and get some colored paper while I’m at it,
2.) Walk the five or so blocks down to Safeway and get some colored paper, then return the black stuff later,
3.) Go to Safeway, get colored paper, and not bother returning the black paper, since it only cost 2.60 anyway and I could actually use it, or
4.) Attempt to disguise the fact that the paper is black by covering it with thick layers of colorful oil pastel.
I’m an amateur standup comedian who has never been able to exercise my wit on the stage save once at summer camp. I used mostly recycled material for that, jokes and throwaway gags, but since then I’ve come up with some pretty good stuff, I think. Some of my topics are:
Lemonade
The Good Old Days and Other Fallacies
Chapstick
174 – Two of my friends do Irish dancing. They did it at my school’s talent show and ended up getting second place.
And I would suggest any but 4.
163 – I’m in Lasley House.
Gapas – CAN WE PLEASE HAVE A MUSE ACADEMY SOUTH THREAD?!?!?!
PWEASE??? (ha!! there I said it!) pwease pwease pwease pwease pwease pwease pwease pwease pwease pwease pwease pwease pwease pwease pwease pwease pwease pwease pwease pwease pwease PLEASE!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
(177) We would prefer you find a way for both branches of the school to share a thread. It would help to cut down on thread-proliferation clutter.
178 – I originally tried that, but then I got yelled at for inturruptin a story line. sigh, maybe I just shouldn’t have bothered
(179) Adeia apologized for over-reacting. I think you just took her by surprise. Maybe you could identify your comments as to which branch of MA your posting about.
Grant-I like dancing pretty much any way to anything. I wish I could swing, but I can’t.
Also, do you know someone named Andy who protests scientology and recently went to Ukraine?
My friend Andy is friends with someone named Grant, and you sound like you could be him.
so if we just put MUSE ACADEMY SOUTH at the top??
Ok that will work for me. Oh did you get my email??
MUSE ACADEMY SOUTH
157 and 158 – could you please put your MAS houses not your MA house
— Thank You —
148- *more envy* Lucky! And you got their signatures to! (Kelly’s Wellies… heehee.)
I am quite possibly the only MuseBlogger who reads extremely old NaNo threads out of boredom.
Oh, what’s the point? There isn’t one. Mother wants me to sweep the house. In order top sweep I have to clean up all the stuff on the floor. Some of it’s hers and some of it’s mine, and a great deal of the perpetual clutter is stuff we salvaged from the old house and which doesn’t have a home, but seventy-five percent of the items that can be picked up and put away belong to Opal. And she won’t clean it up, so I have to, and there’s no point, because it’ll be a pigsty again by the time anyone can appreciate it.
When you walk in the door, you’re greeted with the dining room, which is also where all the boxes of fabric and half-melted CDs are stored. You can’t even see the wall, and at least ten square feet of the floor is taken up with BOXES. I hate boxes. And what isn’t taken up with boxes is taken up with shoes, or stray pieces of fabric, or Opal’s instruments.
And then you go into the living room, which can be very nice when it’s clean, but it never is clean. There are too many books, and computer-related wires, and socks. Oh, and paper. Opal will draw and draw and draw and then stuff the paper under the coffee table or something.
The kitchen’s another room with enormous potential, and even wouldn’t be too bad if it weren’t for the scorched dishes floating around that no one wants to wash.
And the bathroom’s tiny anyway, but it looks even smaller when it has wet towels heaped on the floor.
And the stairs have dust on them, and the hall is full of socks and dust and paper and stuff that spills out from Opal’s room. And even my room is a mess because I never have enough hangers, so my clothes are scattered to the four winds and there’s not enough room for all the bags and miscellany that litters the floor.
Oh, and my heaters on. I have to go turn it off now.
185- They depress me.
185- I do that!
185- I do too.
185 – Oh, good idea.
187 – They actually aren’t horribly depressing, because (at least the one’s I’m reading right now) are mostly people writing lots of ks to catch up from being very behind, which inspirational in a sickening sort of way.
188, 189 – Really? Wow, we can all be weird together.
190 – Warning: It causes you to procrastinate. A lot.
185-I do too. Actually, I have read a pretty sad amount of old threads, when it boils down to it. And some nanos.
I’m back! (I have not read any of this thread)
My spring break is always over April first. I wonder if my school district does that on purpose? Anyways. I find this year’s April fools excellent.
Is that thing by PBJ and Lady Bunniful THE THING? How’d I miss the unveiling of it? Geez. My vacations always happen during excitement.
OK. I’ve cleaned most of the living room, and the dinging room, and even the hall, which hasn’t been cleaned since we got here. And some of my room. But I still have to tackle the kitchen, and I can’t even work on the little room by the stairs, because none of the stuff is mine. And I was going to make Opal go to her room so I could clean, but she went into the bathroom instead (which gives you an idea of how messy her room is), so I can’t clean that. My problem is that I can’t sweep even if the floor is clean. All the surfaces above the floor have to be clean too, or it feels wrong, somehow. So I have to clean the entire room before I can sweep. It drives me insane.
I’m going to go clean the kitchen now, and then go to my room and think about taking up the fiddle.
I read any old thread I can find out of boredom.
all posts by Zoe about MAS I BETTER be in there AHHHHHHH TOMORROWS TEH PLAAAAAYYYYY
181- Not unless there was a production of 42nd Street at his highschool yesterday and tonight. And I don’t really know anyone named Andy.
Oh my sweet FSM, no moderation for 3 hours!
198 – I know, and now posts are going through like crazy.
The sad part is I didn’t really get much done on my Screnzy, even despite that, because every time I sat down and started writing my mom came over with something for me to do. -sigh-
I was so tempted to go be an impatient cricket all over the place but I resisted! Huzzah! I think I’ll check the rest of the threads now. *skips off to check threads*
200 – I’m not even going to try. There’s probably soooo many new posts to read right now.
GAPAs, why haven’t any of you been on for the past 3 hours?
I quadruple posted on SMAS-TT. I was hoping someone would intercept it but it was no go! Just found that out now. Teehee.
I just realized that I had the 200th post!
(182) Yes, we got the email. We’ll try to catch up on the graphics backlog tomorrow.
(201) I can’t speak for the others, but I confess I’ve been out frolicking. Yes, it’s true, I actually went out to a concert on a Saturday night.
191- It’s depressing to me. I Failed NaNo, remember?
I just watched MP&THG on YouTube. Ah, the joys of YouTube.
196 – Sam – you must register. Geeze – I’m not going to fill out the paperwork for you
*mutters in disgust*
Oh. My. God.
I dont have a costume for when I’m Shylock.
The play is tomorrow.
I am toast.
GAPA’s – if we have pictures taken of me and Sam in Merchant of Venice, will you post them???
(206) If we have parental permission.
207 – so I just have my parents email the pictures
or a note saying its all good and Legit
check this out, it’s a song by the beatles called “For the benefit of Mr.Kite!” except I changed it to “for the benefit of Mr.Koko!”
For the benefit of Mr. Koko
There will be a show tonight on trampoline
The Musers will all be there
Late of Pablo Fanques Fair, what a scene!
Over men and horses hoops and garters
Lastly through a hogshead of real fire!
In this way Mr. Koko will challenge the world!
The celebrated Mr. Koko
Performs his feat on Saturday at Bishopsgate
The Hendersons will dance and sing
As Mr. Koko’s pie flys through the ring, don’t be late!
Messrs. K and H assure the public
Their production will be second to none
And of course Henry The Horse dances the waltz!
The band begins at ten to six
When Mr. Koko performs his tricks without a sound
And Mr. H will demonstrate
Ten summersets he’ll undertake on solid ground
Having been some days in preparation
A splendid time is guaranteed for all
And tonight Mr. Koko is topping the bill!
And he shall take over the world!-(I made up this line.)
204 – Oh yeah. That makes sense.
163-I’m utterly confused, but I’m open to being in any Screnzy.
I had Clarissa over yesterday, it was awesome. I have to finish tests today. Not so awesome.
Anyway… party planning today too.
Whatever.

TO POST 163:
I AM IN COONTZ HOUSE. PLEASE TELL ME WHEN I CAN SEE THE SCRENZY. I WOULD VERY MUCH LIKE TO READ IT.
SORRY FOR THE DOUBLE POST.
Ahhhhh. Such a nice spring day today……. How is everyone?
214- I’m well, kiwimuncher, I just defined about 44 terms for Macroeconomics and I’m done with the stuff I had to do. How are you?
214-It really is. Which makes me doubly furious because I have to spend it inside rotting my brains on work. Like what I should be doing now. And now. And now.
Ok, so maybe I am just overlooking something since my computer is evil and hates me, but uh, has ANYONE noticed I’m back? I dont meant to sound self centered or anything, but after a huge break I was ecstatic to be on my favorite blog again, only to feel like everyone is ignoring me. I literally feel invisible *sniffle*. Am I missing something?
214- Oh yeah. Nice Spring Day.
I think I see a little bit of blue in the sky. Maybe. Or is that grey?
It’s been pouring down rain since yesterday.
I’m almost done with my project. I just need to call H– about the skull, and S– about something representing the Ghost, and glue all my quotes onto the box, and type up my rationale, and print out a map of Denmark, and….
218-Hi Alice!!!
Ok this is really starting to creep me out….hello?? *echos*
219- Hi! How are you?
217- I’m sorry, Dancergirl. I know how you feel, I sometimes get that feeling, but as I also take long breaks, it doesn’t register on my consciousness when other people do the same.
So the extra credit for health class is to memorize and present to the class the poem Jabberwocky</i. Which I already know.
I’m out of tea tree flavored toothpicks. This is quite unfortunate, because they’re delicious.
222- I wish my health class was like that. I love Jabberwocky.
Could we revive the Poems and Poetry thread? I can’t even find it, so I don’t know if people are on it anymore.
Also “The Diaries of ???”, I like doing the spoof diaries.
222- ‘Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
That’s about all I remember right now.
225-I bookmarked poems on the don’t forget these threads thingamabobber. I’ve been posting like crazy on it. As for the Diaries, I have a very personal attachment to that (I wonder why). I wrote a really long post on it, which ended up being the last post and it saddened me that my very long post went to waste. Maybe if we both go visit it, it will get a little more attention. Pwease (I said it) come post there. : )
226-
‘Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe.
All mimsy were the borogoves
And the mome raths outgrabe
Beware the Jabberwock, my son
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch.
Beware the Jubjub bird and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch.
He took his vorpal sword in hand
Long time the manxome foe he sought
So rested he by the Tumtum tree
And stood a while in thought.
And as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgy wood
And burbled as it came!
One-two! One-two! And through and through!
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with it’s head
He went gallumphing back.
“And hast though slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
Oh frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!
He chortled in his joy.
‘Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe.
All mimsy were the borogoves
And the mome raths outgrabe.
I apologize for any mistakes in the recitation of this poem.
I love Humpty Dumpty’s definition of the words in that poem in Alice and the Looking Glass.
For example
Wabe: (I am pretty sure this is it) the patch of grass around a sundial.
229- Yes. They’re brilliant.
hi Dancergirl! I just got back from vacation too and I don’t believe anyone noticed my absence either. I, however, was more vexed about the quantity of posts that sprung up in my absence. So. Many! Aaaah!
229- And “brillig” is when the kettle is boiling, which is teatime, which is around three o’clock.
Jabberwocky is awesome. As part of our TOK (theory of knowledge) class test we had to write out Jabberwocky only we had to write it out with the nonsense words changed to words we thought fit there. I think it’d be interesting to see some of my classmates’ and compare them to mine.
230/232-I find them so excessively and insanely exciting. And I can’t remember any more. *looks downcast* I might go check if I can summon up the strength. Which I can’t.
233-I did that in English. It was actually really really fun. All I remember is all of us putting Tumtum Tree as something to do with candy. Marshmallows maybe.
Hello people.
I forgot what I was going to say.
236- Hello La Mort.
236- Hallo luv. That happens to me quite a bit. I’ll also forget what I wanted to look up. But today I finally remembered to find out that “gloaming” means twilight.
Hello Alice and Grant. I don’t remembere what I was going to say, but it probably had something to do with third quarter grades. *worries about grades again*
The thing is, if I’m not on honor roll, I can’t have study in the cafeteria. But more importantly, I will be kicked out of FNHS. Well, probably just put ‘on probation’, but I’m supposed to have at least an A- average in French and a B- average in a ll my other classes.
*worries*
Halloo!! RIght now that thats over and done with. I want to make a little sales pitch for Coy Woodnesse and Poetry. As in, purlease go post on in. Pwease (there, I said it for the third time!). Done with the annoying announcer voice for now.
Hello to all the people who keep leaving an coming back, some of which I believe are Grant, oxlin, and Dancergirl.
I had fun in the sun today.
I kept hurting my feet on the trampoline though so it wasn’t quite as fun. My toes still hurt from when i tripped over my friend’s baby brother. Nothing happened to him but he bruised my foot, elbowed my nose, and made me fall over all at once.
241- Jeez, I hope it didn’t mess up your nose.
Good morning everyone! It’s such a loverly day isn’t it? *no school*
243- Argh you lucky thing. Tho’ I don’t have any school on Friday, so I’m lucky too. Only I’m not. Because there’s a paper due Friday that’s probably going to be due Wednesday instead, because we don’t have school Friday.
I wish today was an inservice instead. *grumbles*
On the plus side, it is a lovely day. From the window. I get the feeling it wouldn’t be so lovely if you were out in it.
Which I will be in a mere seven minutes.
163-Can I be a Screnzy character?
232-Brillig is 5:00.

Random thought of the day:
If the CIA searches e-mails for the word “bomb”, they must get a lot of false alarms from people saying stuff like “That party was the bomb!”
246) Um. OK.
Well, here I am, bored out of my mind. *looks to Museblog for entertainment*
-246 you’re right, but it seems like they might miss something REAL if they spend all their time reading other peoples emails.
248- they have machines.
Grant is wondering about the status of the educational filmstrip project. Are the GAPAs done with their catching up, or did it slip their minds, being a relatively unimportant thing? It’s just that I can’t edit videos and I think people would have fun trying to use my audio to make one. Correct me if I’m wrong, I’m speaking generally here.
Sorry, Grant! No more uploads from me until I finish my income taxes.
251 – I feel your pain. I was up past midnight last night filing my tax returns. *is jealous of her parents, who have an accountant to do this stuff for them*
251- I sent a picture for the H&H cards, but it’s so insignificant I’d understand completely that the calculations concerning your entire year’s wages might mean a little bit more.
251- I can see were that could be hard:
Cafepress
Muse Q&A
Science.
re Jabberwocky: I did it for my class’s poetry slam. I got through the first round, mostly because people couldn’t believe I had memorized it, and lost in the second round by one vote. It was kind of funny, because part of the project was to do a serious analysis. (Mine was that Lewis Carroll thinks epics are nonsense.)
251- My birthday was originally supposed to be on income tax day. Lucky I was three days early. Because everyone would hate my birthday.
Tsk. Well, that’s the end of that.
220,221,231-Hey guys!! I am fine, at the moment i have a small cold, but otherwise, nothing is going on. How are you guys? And thanks for saying hi, its funny now, but I was beginning to think I was completely missing something, that there was something wrong……that my computer wasnt working or i was being kept out!!! *laughs* No one here would do that though! Thanks again!!
Ah! I love that peom!!!! It is one of my favorites, I remember doing this cool theater class once and we did something cool to it, but I dont remember what.
TMFA (254): Last Robert posted about the CafePress Musery Loves Company store, the cost of running the store was greater than the monetary profit. Of course, the aesthetic-cultural-political-social- spiritual profit has been immeasurable!
256) I approve of your name.
That’s all.
259- but he can deduce it, right?
Dude. Modest Mouse is having a concert not to far from me June 6th. With REM and The National, but I haven’t heard of them.
I wantwantwant to gooo…
224- Well the rest of the class plain sucks. I would type up the prompt for this stupid, idiotic essay we had to do (it was on the last Café thread) but it pains me. Our test on wednesday is on “Death, Dying and the Eye.” >.≤
And the recitation went succesfully I do believe. I didn’t hesitate, and only mispronounced one or two words (“tugley” instead of “tulgey” I know…). My friend was the only other perosn who did it. I did mine in a slightly disclaimish voice, but normally when I read it I do a really strong one in an odd sort of pitch that sounds cool, but I don’t think my class is quite ready for that
260- I’m just waiting for people on the Alter Ego thread to catch up.
TMFA (261):
The IRS doesn’t seem to be interested in that kind of profit. Just the money kind. Though it would be interesting to try to translate into dollars the benefit (or harm) of the existence of hot pink bunny t-shirts.
Jadestone (263):
Somewhere there exists a film of me and one of my cousins reciting Jabberwocky while engaging in “interpretative dance.” We were about 12 at the time. We loved the poem but really went a little overboard with it.
Luckily it’s from the pre-digital era so there’s no quick and easy way for it to make its way onto the internet.
266- Haha! That sounds great XD Which of you was the Jabberwock, which the beamish boy?
We were each both of them!
Erm…on the main home screen thingy under the “Don’t Forget These Posts”, it’s blank. How do I get to Poems and Poetry?
Oops. Negate that last comment.
Dude, I have a wicked pulse high right now. That’s a term I made up for when you’ve sprinted and leaped without regard to how much exertion it requires and then shadowboxed the air into submission, so then you’re doing everything with extra zest and especially fast and without regard to what’s going oooooon! Whahoooooo!
By the way, in case it hasn’t been figured out by now, Grant Grant Grant is Sarky Sarky Sarky.
My burfday’s tomarow.
On a school day.
Anyway… rehersal goes until 6:30 and I can’t get any homework done!!!
272- Happy early birthday.
272-Happy almost birthday!
Random thoughts of last night’s insomnia=
I wonder where all those planes flying around at night are going.
Random thought of sticking my head out the window while being an insomniac=
Most people’s names don’t sound so nice together as Romeo and Juliet.
you know, i just realized something…………missswan, wednesday will be a year exactly since you came to MuseBlog.
272- Happy birthday to you, Beavo old chap. (I think you’re a dude, I’m never sure with everyone on the Museblog, because I forgets forgets forgets.) (Grammatical errors intentional.)
274- I quite agree. It has a great many of what I like to call soft consonants, then ends with a good hard T sound.
La Mort, La Vie, L’Amour, luv, do you rather like opera? I don’t know what inspired me to ask that. I’m scattered right now.
276- Beavo is a dude.
Actually, I don’t think I’ve ever seen/heard any opera. (Yeah, that makes sense. And now I’m getting sarcastic at myself.)
Well Merchnt of Venice is to say the least, interesting. I almost stab Sam with a knife, H and I keep laughing, and then Portia tlls me to cut off Antonio’s “arse” instead of heart.
Oh and we dont know half of that scene. Today we skipped and got so lost we had an audiance staring at us for 1 minute while we stood on stage waiting for the prompt. Too bad the prompter didnt even know where we were in the play and our director had to yell the line from across the auditorium. Oh god.
I auditioned for Oliver today – I hope I did well – IREALLY want to be in it!!! I mea REALLY!!! unfortunatly, ive heard they give leads nly to the senior students, eve if they cant act. *please e let that just be a rumour~~* *sits and hopes*
oooohh even more good news – I GET TO GO TO A RECORDING STUDIO ON SATURDAY AND I’M BEING RECORDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yay!
272) Happy Birthday!
278) I’m cheering for you! That sounds pretty funny though. Ha ha. I would have died.
279) What are you recording?
A Soyuz rocket carrying three people to the Space Station launched successfuly early this morning from Baikonur in Kazykstan.
278 – Good luck. And don’t worry. Twelfth Night got interesting to say the least. One cast accidentally skipped a scene in the final run-through before dress rehearsal.
I’ve had a lot of dreams about MuseBloggers lately. Last night Grant was in my dream, and the night before that I dreamed I met La Mort at the library. Isn’t that odd? I wonder who I’ll dream about tonight…
I got cast yesterday ( for Acting)! I’m Mother-Jacques in The Future is in Eggs.
284 – I had dreams about MuseBloggers before, but it was back when we first planned the Spokane Kokon.
Last night I had a weird dream. See, there are two middle schools in my school district, I go to one, and several people from my soccer team go to the other. Basically, in the dream my friends had invited me to go to their middle school for a few days, and it was all dark and creepy and I got lost about a million times and the only thing I remember is throughout the dream a bunch of kids were talking about drugs. It sounds like a creepy dream, and it was, but for some reason it didn’t feel like that at the time.
281 – for our stage challenge entry, we need to have a CD with the full soundtrack, which includes the narraration. They decided that they like my scream, so they are re-reccording one of the songs (the song that “Anger” dances to) with me screaming in the middle. Then they are having me narrarate the entire entry. Its really cool!!
Where is Muse Academy South?
GAPAs- Why aren’t I on the Who’s Here page?! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
We’re just lazy, I guess.
Muahaha I don’t have school tomorrow!
I want to get a CD. But I don’t know what. I want…Avenged Sevenfold…maybe…it certainly won’t help my obsession…
I got cheap eyeliner. It is yucky. Do not get eyeliner that is two dollars or less.
Tomorrow I get to find out what my report card grades are. Parent/teacher conference day! That’s explains the lack of classes. xD I hope I get higher than a C in algebra (ugh…)
Hi everyone, I’m back! Wait, how long has it ben again? 3 days? Argh. Do I even want to try to catch up on all the bazzilion posts oni here since last time?? Auhmmmm, no. Not now, since I only have a bit of time of the ‘puter. (Library, as usual….)
So, yesterday marked the end of my four-day-long-concert-attending-streak…..wow. Gaelic Storm one day, a baroque ensamble the next, the same group (different program) the day after that and QuattroCelli yesterday. Wow.
So, how is evreybody?
Hey, it’s me. I haven’t been here for a while…but the only person I recognize, besides the GAPAs (hey guys! howyadoin’?) is Grant O. Hmm.
(292) Great to see you, Your Majesty! There are some others you’d know still around, although some of the names have changed.
292- Hello, ‘me’. I think I remember you from when I first started posting. Were you around in November 06 or March 07?
Hi, King Wachtelschlag Fliegender. Wie geht’s? (My German is better than my Kiadorese.)
292- Hey hey, Miss (I think, my memory sucks) Majesty! (As a fellow sort of ruler and longtime fellow blog member, I thought an informal greeting was okay.) Nice to see you, eh!
292) DDD:
long time no see! or blog. something.
I don’t think I’ve ever changed my name. I’ve added to it maybe twice but it’s always just been Axa.
292 – yo, juliette, sup?
292~ Hi. I’m not sure if I remember you or not, sorry. But it’s always nice when someone comes back. *respectfully pies*
Hello, King Wachtelschlag Fliegender. I dimly remember you from back in my neophyte days, but we’ve never been properly introduced.
I did all my homework, now I’m waiting for it to get dark so I can look at the moon.
298 – You reminded me of something. I went to school with my new haircut and I said something like that, and they gawked at me and said, very seriously, “NEVER… SAY… THAT… EVER… AGAIN.” Of course, being weird, I immediately cracked up.
292- hey Queenie! Surely you recognize me? (it is e~a here)
We’re watching El Laberinto del Fauno in Spanish class. It is the second time I’ve seen it and that movie is one of my favorites. Some of my class hadn’t seen it before though and I’m not sure if they understand it… However the person who sits on the other side of me has seen it three times so I talk with him instead.
Oh, yay for watching movies in Spanish class! That’s possibly the only way I have contact with the current popular movies. Indeed, the only High School Musical, Happy Feet, Ice Age, and countless-other-things-I’m-currently-forgetting I’ve seen has been in Spanish class.
Why there is such a need to put on movies instead of perhaps actually teaching us is unclear.
292- HI! I don’t think we’ve met. We’re you here after August 1st 2006?
292- I think so…
Right now we’re watching Les Miserables in AP Euro History, and the other week we watched “La Historia Oficial” in AP Spanish. Oh, and today in Physics we watched a Mythbusters segment. I sometimes think those guys don’t try nearly hard enough.
303) That is such a good movie. I should watch it again, it’s one of the many movies bought as a present and never yet watched.
We watched “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” in Japanese XD Personally I love movie in other languages. I am not in the least bothered but subtitles, and there’s nothing more satisfying than recognizing a phrase or two in real, non-textbook situations.
Ah you guys reminded me, I need to go look at the moon later…awesome
292 (Queenie)- HAI
I really, really need to see Pan’s Labyrinth, but haven’t yet got around to it. We watch interesting movies in Spanish, though. Last year it was this long 90’s soap opera thing about a woman with a cheating boyfriend, and her younger best friend who did prescription drugs and ended up getting with the boyfriend’s son. It had Antonio Banderas in it.
Am I insane for wanting a MB anonymeme?
The only movie I’ve seen in Spanish is La Bamba. Which was not that great.
I’m trying so hard to be polite to everyone at school, no matter how much they bug me, that when I get home and no longer have those restrictions with “I must be polite to this person,” it takes almost nothing for me to snap. I try harder with my parents, but to Opal and her friends I’m practically tyrannical. OK, I don’t have enough authority to be tyrannical, I just appear really grumpy, with a really low tolerance level to any sort of chaos (and when you stick three kids under eleven in any one house, you get chaos).
I don’t want to be like that, really. I just don’t like…people, in general. There are a few people at school with whom I’ve never clashed, and whom I would like to know better, but I’m really not practiced in talking to kids, so even when the people don’t get on my nerves (and it’s not just kids…), I stumble and trip over my words, and end up just smiling and/or covering my face with my hair.
And so many people refer to me in third person. It annoys me really badly, and I’ve finally come out and told them (M, at least, not T–yet) that I don’t like it. Now at least she makes an effort. But they’re all so patronizing. You’d think I was ten, not fourteen.
I belong in two groups of people:
MuseBloggers
Theater kids
Only among those two groups do I not feel like I just want to hide under my hair and wait for the bell to ring.
309- A MB what?
The only movie I’ve seen in Spanish class is…um…um…I don’t think I’ve seen any in Spanish, actually. My third grade class read “Tuck Everlasting” in Spanish, though.
311- I think she means that she wants a thread where people can post anonymously. But I’m not sure.
I’m off to bed, where I shall read The Book Thief. It has improved considerably since I last commented on it.
Tomorrow will be a different day, and hopefully a better one, even though I will have to face those dreaded social situations. I will listen to Grant’s sound files, finish up that Field&Lab report, and have a lovely long discussion about absurdism with the cast and director of “The Future is in Eggs.” And hopefully this blasted illness will not re-assert itself overnight.
Good night, all.
309) LOLL YES
I requested something like that a few months ago but it was kicked under the rug D:
287 – Muse Academy South is located on a small island called Calliope Tenric, off the southern tip of Antatica
OMG – WE DID IT!!!! WE GOT THROUGH THE ENTIRE PLAY WITHOUT SCREWING UP!!!!!! WE EVEN GOT THE COURTROOM SCENE RIGHT!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH soooooooo HAPPY!!!
Now I just need to get into Oliver!!! *hopes, wishes, even prays, even though I’m NOT AT ALL religious*
I have some Scooby-Doo episodes on DVD. Someday I’ll watch them in Spanish, just to see how it sounds when Velma speaks Spanish.
Yay! I’m not sick again! *cheers*
317 – Congratulations!
In 5th grade in Spanish, we had not-that-great of a teacher, so we watched movies in Spanish a lot. One of them was Star Wars, but it was just Spanish subtitled. We laughed hysterically at its pointlessness.
317, 319 – Congratulations again!
Hmmm…Scooby-Doo in Spanish. Interesting.
317 – What play was it?
I wish our musical was going that well. The first performance is a week from Friday, and people are still forgetting their lines. (I never even had my lines fully memorized ) Anyways, the whole musical sucks. It is based on a comic strip. A COMIC STRIP. Luann. I mean, come on! Who would bother writing a musical about a comic strip!?!
Random thought of the day:
If a person is South African English, and they move to the US and become a fully naturalized citizen, wouldn’t they technically be an a African American?
(321) Musicals based on comic strips… Well, there’s Annie, and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and Li’l Abner. I’m sure there must have been others — Archie, probably, at some point.
What is your role in Luann?
323 – I play the principal. She wasn’t even originally in the musical, but the music teacher’s thing is that whoever auditions will get in so he writes new parts for people. I guess that’s cool. But one of my two scenes is commentating a basketball game, which is a really bad part for me because I know nothing about sports, whatsoever. So I have to say some sport-jargon thing, and I want to burst out laughing because it sounds so stupid!
322 – I have no idea. Possibly.
are you a neophyte?
the principal? really? then don’t you get to be mean to the other people in the play?
217- OMG I AM IN OLIVER IN MY TOWN!!!! It is fun. But anyway, congrats on your play!!!!
Man, I have a really bad headache, and a cold. bleh.
Wow. So much happened since I last posted on this thread. Last Night. This is intense. Okay, *administers pies, choklit, congratulations etc. to appropriate recipents*
By the way, me gusta the new picture a lot. It reminds me a little of stalactites and stalagmites! In a scary surreal hpb cave!
re movies in other languages: I don’t speak Spanish, so I haven’t seen anything in Spanish, but I’ve watched Pride and Prejudice and at least one Harry Potter movie in French. (And I’ve read the first Harry Potter and a bunch of other random stuff in French and One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish in Hebrew.)
317 – Great job! And good luck in getting into Oliver!
323 – And my school has an annoying knack to do them. (Charlie Brown was good, Annie not so much)
I have to post one of my short writing assignments that I did for humanities.
Assignment: Write a paragraph about a symbol you’ve encountered in your life or a dream.
My answer: One symbol I’ve encountered in a dream is when a sperm whale fell on top of me. This probably symbolizes that I had been reading to much of Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Trying to extend the comparison, perhaps since in the book the sperm whale falling was a result of Improbability Drive, this dream represented that improbable things were happening in my own life.
The curtain is unveiling in the picture to reveal…
329-That is a absolutely hilarious paragraph. Hilarious!
I watched Les Gendarmes in French and some short films.
330-Thats so true! And how relevant with all these recent entries about theatre.
Hmm. Let’s see. On the subject of theatre, this year was the first year I succeeded in getting a decent part in my school musical. It was the Tempest and I was Sebastian. It was a fun role to play. I’ve done some camps but thats basically it as far as good roles go. I can’t sing to save my life (as I think I mentioned on my profile) which is a big problem (understandably) for most directors.
Congrats to all people with parts/successful plays!
Random….
What happened to the Muse Academy thread? I can’t find it anywhere!
we need a new kokon thread.
333 – I think it completely died. Search it, and when you find it, please put it in the “don’t forget these threads” thing.
334 – Yes. We do. Talk to the GAPAs!
good bye.
I suppose I should say something meaningful as my last words on this blog. I suppose I shall explain. Museblog helped me feel like I belonged in a world where I felt alone for the last year and a bit. It was really great and everything felt okay. but now…. I think in someways I’ve “grown out” of the blog, in the way that you grow out of a favorite sweater. You still love it, but you don’t need it. Museblog helped in ways I can’t explain in words. But now I feel like I don’t need to be here. I have nothing to say anymore. I don’t want to read the posts anymore. I suppose a little part of me will miss you all. (sorry if that’s messed up my comment box has dissapeared) I have thought this over very thoroughly. I am leaving and you will never see me again. This is not just a goodbye post where I come back in two days saying I’ve changed my mind. I mean it. I am leaving. but it doesn’t feel like the end. I feel like I’ve been gone for a long time. I don’t even ever feel like reading posts or posting anymore. Thanks for a good time Muse blog. Thnkyou MMBers for being awesome. Thanks GAPAs’ for everything. I hope that you all have verry good liives.
good bye.
Great. Just Great. Now we only have Vixen for North Hemisphere, non-u.s. people.
Eh. School was OK today. Better than it has been. I guess.
We had rehearsal in acting, which was awkward in many ways that I will not name. But yeah, it was awkward. But I learned a stage slap, so that was cool.
And yeah…That’s all.
Oh, the assembly made me mad, because it was extending our 4th period by fifteen minutes and robbing us of our break, but then we got our break in the fifteen minutes, so it turned out all right after all.
And I am SO EXCITED ABOUT ASHLAND!!!! We got our itinerary/permission slips today. *dances*
(337) Thanks for being part of the blog, Kagy. We’re glad you spent time with us, and that you found something helpful here. Best of luck with your wonderful art and in every way!
337- Goodbye, and good luck. We’ll miss you.
337 – Bye Kagy!
337- Good bye, Kagy-Kathleen. Have a nice life, and someday I’ll go to Canada, and I’ll be thinking of you.
I meant Spanish class because it is a movie that is originally in Spanish. We don’t watch dubbed English movies. And El Laberinto del Fauno is excellent.
I really want to be in my writing class. I’m sixth on the waiting list…
(337) Namárië, Kagcomix! May your heart stay mostly harmless forever, and all your pies fly straight and true.
337-well, then, this is farewell, kagy, kagomix, fallen angel, I hope you keep all those great memories with you….*sniffle*
337: Kagcomix, I’m sorry you’re leaving, even though I haven’t been around long enough to meet you… I wish you success in all your endeavors and hope that your experiences here have helped you grow as a person.
344: Well, I exaggerate. The movies we watched were mostly on half-days when classes were half as long as normal… You must have a very nice school if they have such a good selection of movies.
Oh, man, that sounds almost sarcastic. I promise it wasn’t.
337-I never had a chance to meet you because of my newness, but likewise I wish you a very happy life. : )
My language teacher has an innate adversity to watching movies in class I think.
…bye, Kagy. Have a nice life…
*is depressed now*
I’m back!!!!! be happy, oh so happy. I do have a question for all of the (other) Latin geeks out there. Did you get your NLE results back yet? I GOT A SILVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (whooo)
Farewell, Kagy. Have a great time out there, beyond the blog. I’ll miss you and your comics too.
bye Kagy, I’ll miss you! Have a good time with whatever you do!
*swiftly pies greekgurl*
337- Goodbye, Kagcomix. We’ll miss you.
YAY today in English, my story that was based on the octopus article in the recent Muse won the prize for the best story in our class!! =) I feel proud.
337 – Goodbye. *is sad*
355 – Congratulations!
Ugh. I hate geometry. Does anyone else hate geometry?
337- Goodbye! Even though your not here to read this post, we are all very sad.
337~ Bye Kagy, I’ll really miss you. It was great to meet you, an d I’ve enjoyed every time we’ve talked on MB. I’m sure that in whatever you do you’ll do well, all the best wishes to you! *hugs and pies* I wish we’d cross paths again, but if we don’t it was great knowing you even a little bit.
Oh, by the way, Kagy’s announcement eclipsed my somewhat less earthshaking news.
For those of you who have met me in person or see pictures of my waist-length hair, it’s now very, very short. I got it cut today, to chin length, and donated 14 1/2 inches to Locks of Love. So now I’m feeling all bald.
359- cool! picture? either of your head from behind or something or with parental permission. My hair is about six inches past shoulder length now. I’m going to cut it for Locks of Love eventually. when it is long enough. and then I’m going to cut it really short!
Oh, I just realized why moderation seems to be at a standstill: it is!! Actually, I just saw the GAPAs’ note announcing that they were going to bed early. Humph. It’s only 11:30 here in Eatern time!!
See you all later then, I’m off.
I used to be Banana, now I changed my name. Whoop-dee-doo.
337 – Bye, Kagy. I never really knew you well, but we’ll miss you anyways.
356 – I don’t have a ton of experience with it. Next year, however, I’ll be doing Geometry. -shudders-
359 – Oh, cool.
361 – Yup. Even though a few seem to be going through now.
337) ‘Ta, Kagy. It was nice talking manga with you, many pies to your future endeavors.
A lot of people at school have done that Locks of Love thing. Apparently one guy hadn’t EVER gotten his hair cut and then he did and donated it all o_o It was pretty long…Unfortunately I can’t live with anything but short hair so I don’t think I’d help much, haha.
321 – Merchant of Venice
Bye Kagy!!!!
