MuseBlog is being overhauled so that various components will work nicely together and not explode into a chrono-synclastic infundibulum or something. As a result, things may look odd around here for a while. We regret the inconvenience.

Wow, awesome story!
I especially like the Cheshire Cat reference.
First Post?
It was cloudy yesterday and now it’s cloudy, so I’ll hope for tomorrow.
yeah….it’s cloudy throughout spring here.
We had thunderstrorms yesterday, so it may be cloudy again. I dunno. We’ll see.
I’ll try to catch it tonight! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Looks outdoors. It’s cloudy and will be cloudy tonight and probably all of the week. Why must we always have bad weather? (Incidentally, they’re predicting snow this weekend.)
Drat. Cloudy. Well, I shall keep an eye out for it…
Why is it so amazing this month? Did it turn purple or something?
Well, the crescent gives you a good chance to see earthshine on the rest of the moon, and on Tuesday night it will be near a gorgeous star cluster called the Pleiades. Nothing miraculous, but pretty.
Oh. Yes. I’ll watch the Moon. Or rather, the clouds. *is bitter*
Hopefully no MBers have triskadekaphobia.
Thanks!
I’ll go lie out on my lawn and watch the sky. Should be fun!
Sweet. Must get stuff ready for it… to bad it’s kind of in the direction of the city… oh well! must find that tripod now.
I saw it its sort of like the sun coming over the horizon except on the moon, it really does look like the Cheshire cat’s smile! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Nooo, curse you, cruel clouds!
More clouds. Phobos. They’d better clear up soon.
It’s finally cleared up! Let’s hope it stays that way so I can see the occulation of the Pleiades!
i hope its clear tonight so i can catch the last day of this
I’m going to check tonight. Might be tough. I’ll try. I showed this website to my somewhat dazed science teacher and he was delighted.
I saw it last night — it was beautiful! I’m going outside again tonight, and it should be fun, because it’s SEVENTY DEGREES!!!
20- Sigh…I’m so ready for warm, quiet summer nights, with crickets chirping and mosquitoes buzzing…
And I won’t experience it this summer. *glares*
Despite the fact that my location isn’t exactly made for star-gazing I took a pair of binoculars, and actually managed to see it. It was fantastic. The moon was pretty exciting too, to be quite honest. You could see a faint sliver of light around the other edge and the rest was a grayish black.
21-Why not? *gives sympathy choklit*
22- Now I’m in the city. And it’s cold. And wet. And if I go out to the country I will be bored out of my Mind because I don’t have anything to do there anymore.
Alice (23): Why won’t you have anything to do there?
24- The sheep are gone.
And Daddy’s off guiding kayakers, and that leaves me with books and the computer, neither of which are the most wonderful thing on a hot summer day.
Although I’ll probably be out there for a few days at least, for kayak rodeos and maybe an intergenerational elderhostel, if there’s any room on any of them.
Why do I keep trying to put myself in situations with other people?
Saw it yesterday. Beautiful!
I forgot to even check.
(16) KaiYves,
As you like to exclaim “Phobos!” you might enjoy the great new closeup pictures of Phobos at http :// hirise.lpl.arizona. edu/
28- Thanks. Man, that is one pretty moon.
Dead Thread, but we could renew it by turning it into a thread about space and astronamy! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
