Looks outdoors. It’s cloudy and will be cloudy tonight and probably all of the week. Why must we always have bad weather? (Incidentally, they’re predicting snow this weekend.)

Why is it so amazing this month? Did it turn purple or something?

  9. Well, the crescent gives you a good chance to see earthshine on the rest of the moon, and on Tuesday night it will be near a gorgeous star cluster called the Pleiades. Nothing miraculous, but pretty.

20- Sigh…I’m so ready for warm, quiet summer nights, with crickets chirping and mosquitoes buzzing…

And I won’t experience it this summer. *glares*

Despite the fact that my location isn’t exactly made for star-gazing I took a pair of binoculars, and actually managed to see it. It was fantastic. The moon was pretty exciting too, to be quite honest. You could see a faint sliver of light around the other edge and the rest was a grayish black.

    21-Why not? *gives sympathy choklit*

22- Now I’m in the city. And it’s cold. And wet. And if I go out to the country I will be bored out of my Mind because I don’t have anything to do there anymore.

Alice (23): Why won’t you have anything to do there?

  25. Alice says:

24- The sheep are gone. :( And Daddy’s off guiding kayakers, and that leaves me with books and the computer, neither of which are the most wonderful thing on a hot summer day.

Although I’ll probably be out there for a few days at least, for kayak rodeos and maybe an intergenerational elderhostel, if there’s any room on any of them.

Why do I keep trying to put myself in situations with other people?
