~ When you have posted what you think might be the first post on a thread DO NOT wrie FIRST POST!!! and then send it off with nothing else written. This will only infuriate everyone. It is however OK to write a nice post and then add first post? at the bottom.
~ If you are on Internet Explorer 7, your comment box will shrink if you post a long post like this one. You can remedy this by opening MuseBlog with Firefox or some other internet which I can’t remember. The other easy way is to type your long posts in Word and then paste it into your comment box.
~DO NOT USE AIM OR TEXT VOCABULARY!!!! USE GRAMMAR AND PROPER SPELLING!!!! I meen wood u like it if I psted usin slang or nt reel wordz? Save it 4 ur txting or im convos. How annoying is that??? Please refrain from that vulgar usage of wording/spelling. If you absolutely must do it, pick up your phone, open IM or do it on another blog!!!!!! However, unintentional spelling mistakes are acceptable.
~ Although we are random, a post like “I like pickles†on a thread discussing something like The Hare and The Hedgepie IS STRICTLY FROWNED UPON!!! It isn’t even very welcome on the random thread of the month.
~Lastly all Neophytes are pied as a welcome. This is normally a friendly gesture so please don’t feel unloved if you are pied!!!

I see no one has responded directly to your question, so I shall. Being New on the MB can be extremely frustrating, especially when you might feel lost, and possibly ignored. Here’s how it all works:
The GAPAs (moderators) create “threads”, like Welcome Neophytes.
Musebloggers (us) can write “posts”, to talk about anything, usually with a specific theme corresponding to the thread:
The month’s Random Threads are places for general discussion, but topics change frequently and are intermingled with irreverent chatter.
The month’s Chameleon Thread changes too, but at a much slower pace.
The Hare & the Hedgepig is a much more formal establishment, akin to a Victorian tearoom.
Don’t Forget…is a repository of links to popular threads that aren’t monthly.
Happy Birthday… reminds us of, um, birthdays?
RRRs are stories written in short turns by us writers.
Any other specific questions, ask here. Lurking in the random thread is good too.

Well, not really. That got pretty boring.
There are those who feel that the blog was at its peak way before you graced her threads. What does it mean if a Golden Age is seen as continuous? Has it been perpetual, or has it never really existed at all? Time prejudice is a relatively new concept, but it’s gaining recognition. I suppose the historians of the group (I count myself among them) could count membership, or conversation length, or we could even invent a fancy formula to calculate genius per randomness times volume as compared to time, but we can’t get that now.
So be entitled to your opinion, but remember:
History is what you make of it. Condemnation of the present will only lead to vilification in the future.

239- System preferences -> international -> input menu. Then check all the languages you want, exit system preferences. There should be a little American flag at the top of your computer. Change it to whatever language you like.

Dear Fellow Bloggers, Neophytes, Old Timers, GAPA’s, Haters, and anyone else I may have missed in this greeting,
For the past few days I have been trying to figure out a way of saying this without causing a disagreement. However, I have decided that there is probably no way of avoiding hate comments, so I will post it as it is and hope that everything turns out O.K.
In the past four months I have been ungraciously rude, and I would like to apologize for this. I am now known around the blog as a Neophyte (or ‘Phyte) hater, and I would like to clear my name. I don’t actually hate Neophytes – in fact I actually enjoy some of the conversations they start.

From this post, people assumed that I hated neophytes, when in fact I only wanted to state my OPINION on the way the blog has changed. My comment about I think we should stop letting new people post was out of the line and I regret saying it, but nowhere in that post did I say “I hate Neophytesâ€.
However, most people on the blog assumed that I was Neophyte bashing, and this label grew on me until I decided that since it was the only way I seemed to be noticed, I would take on the role as the “Evil Muse Blogger who hated Neophytesâ€. In case you have never been labeled before, let me tell you what it is like. The name and reputation spreads so quickly and everyone believes it so quickly that you yourself start to mix it up with the truth, and soon enough you identify yourself as that person. I don’t have a malicious personality – in fact most people who know me would say that I am always going out of my way to make people happy, yet the barrage o comments about how I should be nicer, as well as the growing pressure and stress in my life just caused me to crack, and I became known as someone that I don’t want to be known as.
I KNOW that I was a neophyte once, and I was horribly obnoxious, but if you look through recesses of the blog, you will find posts of me making fun of my Neophyte self. Please stop using the “You were a Neophyte once so be nicer†line. I KNOW! I really do.
Some of you probably don’t really want to be associated with me anymore, and that’s OK – it’s your choice. I probably would hate me too if I wasn’t me. But before you start the posts complaining about this one, read through some of my older posts. I’m not actually that bad. I have a lot going on in my life too, and I am probably (and unfairly) taking the stress out in angry posts, and I do apologize.
