Speaking of bikes, since we were talking about them earlier, I decided to fix mine up. I cleaned it, put air in the tires, and brought it in for a safety check (they tried to sell me a new bike, saying mine is too small, but… I don’t know, for what I’m doing I think it’s fine…) Yay!

I like the normal Blog colors (as it is now.) It’s very calm and refreshing, and it makes reading the comments easier. Bright colors are distracting and can bother your eyes after a while. You have the perfect colors already, GAPAs, and I don’t see how you could improve on them!

Opal’s birthday is coming up. Ugh. I should probably make her a present, but I don’t want to. In all honesty, birthdays don’t mean anything to me anymore. I’ll probably spend my 15th birthday recovering from a two-week-long camping/road trip. And by the time I reach my “sweet sixteen,” I won’t even care.
My mom gave me my birthday present early again.
She can’t ever actually wait until my birthday. But it was a very lovely shirt, so I can’t complain.
So. I have decided that it is now necessary, not just an “I’d-like-to…”, that I build a ball pit for my house. Not sure where yet. Either the basement or my room, unless I can get an smallish plastic yard pool/cover and put it on my deck.

Today was a very nothing sort of day. I sat outside and daydreamed for a very long time, because the weather seemed to call for it. It’s not too hot, and not very breezy, and very, very quiet.

I appear to have acquired a tendency to write long run-on sentences and a desire, although a primarily stifled one, to put colons and semicolons in where none should be. Bother it. Why it should happen now, I really can’t think, after all I have been reading Novik’s work for a considerably long time, and this is the first influence that has shown.
Kokon. tomorrow (later today, it’s after midnight here.), and I’m STILL awake…because we had to make a bouquet. And now I’m so tired that I’m sure this post isn’t making any sense at all.

RtH and MF Hi again everybody! We are back from the D. C. part of the Kokon, and are at HAWK’s house. We are going to have dinner soon, with many ingredients coming from the garden!
THE KOKONVENTION:
We all (RtH, MF, Meow, Robert…) met on the steps of the Natural History Museum. We talked for a while, and then headed to the Folklife Festival. After browsing through Bhutan (and having HAWK pooped on by a pigeon) we went to Chinatown for lunch at one of MF’s favorite noodle places where Robert posted the above comment. Then Robert had to run off to an interview (thankfully it was by phone, because he was bedecked in true Muser fashion and promoting Muse Academy). The rest of us returned to the Folklife Festival to explore NASA, where we took a few goofy pictures. We parted after riding on the carousel, roasting to death in the Washington DC heat, tired and pleased with our day.
We then came back to RtH’s house, and ran to the blog. And here we are!

87~ Yes, I heard a gasp and giggle and Meow and I turned around to see HAWK with a bit of bird, umm, droppings, on his arm….fortunately he’s a good sport, and we all laughed it off. Actually, he was the one that had me type it into the comment above. Well, we were both typing on the same keyboard and canceling each other out now and then which resulted in some strange sentences and spellings.
Where in the South? I would probably be able to do something in VA.
That sounds like tons of fun! How was Bhutan? It’s a country I’ve been interested in.
89~ I want to go there now, it was wonderful. All the people from there were very kind and happy to be there, and all the crafts were so beautiful, wow. On Thursday I tried on the traditional dress, and some of the dancers came by and commented hat it looked nice. I promptly became rather embarrassed, the one who spoke was quite lovely. My dad’s been teasing me about Bhutanese dancers since.

I just got back from a sleepover. Never, ever, ever sleep outside in tents in someone’s backyard if their sprinklers are set to go on at dawn. Or anytime really. Enough said.
And before that, we went to Waterworld in Concord! And it was fun and we went on the Tornado funnel-thing and it was awesome!

First posts…oh I’d say that at least 2/3 of my MB career was just me rattling on to no one, but the first posts are especially painful. Even considering I was thirteen at the time, I was still v. obnoxious, though I’m sure we all feel that way and I never really noticed most of you being annoying to that level in your MB beginnings.
Right now we’re going to go into LA to see a special screening of Lord of the Rings! I’m so excited adsjdkfh. It’s the Fellowship of the Ring if anyone is interested…oooh man I hate LA.

Ow. You know what doesn’t work? Retaliation. If, for example, a younger sibling is beating you up, it does not do to elbow en or pull ens hair in an attempt to make en leave you alone. En will only take encouragement from that, and, if you should somehow make en really angry, it is best to retreat to your bedroom and put something heavy against the door rather than try to fend off the attack.

145- In order to become more immune to that, I’ve attempted to continuously move that threshold so that stuff she used to use against me doesn’t work. When she starts randomly hammering he firsts into me, however, I find it best to curl up into a small ball so as to expose less of my body to the fists.
