How do you know they exist if they’ve never posted?

isn’t it scary to think that there are people out there who are reading every word you type, but you don’t even know who they are? (now i am making the lurkers feel guilty) actually, i was a lurker once. i found this site, lurked around for awhile, read some of the threads (they were really funny) and finally decided to post. i was really nervous. but then i realized that museblog was my friend and wasn’t going to eat me if i posted and everybody here was really nice and blah blah blah blah
very sweet. actually phoenix had me lurk and then MADE me post, but then i stopped for a while. now i’m back.
Is it scary to think you would actually tell things about you to people who you only know through a website?

what’s stupid is that a lot of people listen to these lectures, and then disregard them completely on their blogs and post pictures, their full name, where they live, etc.. Don’t they know how easy it is to find these blogs? And do they really want their future boss reading it and then deciding not to hire them?
Phoenix forced me into coming here. Little does she know, I am slowly gathering followers. Eventually, I will overthrow her and this silly little site, and RULE THE INTERNET!

I lurked around the gaboomba for ages and then left for a looong time and came back and saw the musblog. I lurk around here a lot believe it or not. Usually when i’m doing skool stuff i open up a couple windows to all my Lurking Sites and lurk around until somebody else gets on.
But i do post a lot too which takes away some of the lurkiness. Where are the lurkers anyway? they seem to be lurking…

I was a lurker on EVERYTHING for about two years. It’s fun to read when you’re unable to poat, and such.
I deny forcing Sphinx and Ismael to post! I showed them this site, and they asked what Muse was. So I gave them issues, and they signed up. End of story.
I did force Zyviva though.

i know almost nobody who reads muse. except for this one girl who i know vaguely and the boy who used to sit next to me in math. (still does, in fact) so i am jealous of you people who have a bunch of friends who read muse.
I lurked around until I had an email address, but I’m not a lurker by nature.
yeah, i know one person who reads muse. Other than that nope. Story time-when i moved i was talking to three of my newer friends and i said “hey do any of you read muse?” one looked blankly at me, one said “what’s that?” and one said something about the muses of art and struck a dramatic pose. It was pretty funny. story time over now…
