Luciferian is right. They’re like soulless demons whose sole purpose is to turn others and make the world evil.

    9) Help your fellow HPBs and allies

6, 8 – HPB’s don’t need to eat pink stuff to stay pink, although they do seem to have an affinity for hot pink food. That pales in comparison to their mania for coconut donuts though. I don’t know about hot pink carrots though. The bunnies may have been genetically engineering them to bunnify people with.

  22. groundhog22 says:

19 – Bunnies don’t need pies to take over the world. They can hypnotize, zombify, bunnify, hypnobunnify, etc. There’s no more powerful weapon than the ability to make your enemies come to our side and work for you. Second, it was once thought that HPBs needed to eat hot pink stuff to survive: BUT THEY WERE WRONG! The hot pink pigment is almost a separate organism from the HPBs, and it doesn’t need pink stuff to stay pink any more than a chloroplast needs green stuff to stay green.
By the way, that’s how bunnification and hypnobunnification work. Because the hot pink pigment is almost like another organism, it can be injected into a victim, and then spread all over the body, like a virus. Hypnobunnification works similarly, except that the pigment has been tweaked in a lab to act like an airborne virus. It’s called hypnobunnification because the airborne pigment is slow-acting, and infected victims act as if they had just been hypnotized at first. Later, the bunnification takes effect.

23- Hm. So which came first, the bunnies or the *shudders* virus? You must remember that the evilus are still evil when depigmentized, and the nicegoodius are pink, but they don’t seem to be affected…and why is there only a pink variation? I’ve only seen pink bunnies bunnify.

Are bunny skins (without fur) pink?

    Pie 0
    Squid 0
  26. groundhog22 says:

25 – It’s not a natural virus, the bunnies encased their hot pink pigment in virus casings. What actually happens is that instead of injecting DNA into the victim’s cells, it injects hot pink pigment organelles into them. These organelles, which are similar to mitochondria, or even better, chloroplasts, are the essence of the hot pink pigmentation, and they give the bunnies their powers. The organelles have different effects in different types of cells, just as DNA has different effects depending on what cell is reading the DNA. The fact that the hot pink pigment is a separate organelle is what allows debunnification and depigmentization to work, because the mechanisms in those processes can then target specific “objects.”

    26 – Yes.

Koko, give that loser Xeer a spike pie in the face, please.

Let the experts explain, please. A Hot-Pink Bunny is in essence, a rabbit with genes gone wild. Originally, they were heads, perfectly suited for using their main weapons: Hypno and Bunnification. However, after the 1993 Massacre, in which an army of resisters attacked and killed, captured, and wounded 500,000 estimated bunnies, they realized that another devastating attack such as that would wipe their population to the edges of extinction, so they developed bodies. Bodies to hold weapons with. The black bunnies were the first–Xeer is a black bunny–to develop this. In fact, they were the experiments that made it possible. Ever since we have been fighting a selection of bunnies, and losing.

76- Sir, you are sadly misinformed. Here’s the Apocalypse Dictionary definition of both:

Bunnification is an irrevocable mental condition, which can be induced in two ways:

A bunny surgeon can do the bunnifying (BUNN-if-fEYE-ing) by modifying human organs to a bunny form; or can be injected with a liquid blood modifier, which takes three to four days to finish.

A bunny can also perform a type called Partial Bunnification. PB involves the bunny gaining access to the mindshape of the subject, then planting its orders inside the victims’ brain. After, the human is hardwired to answer only to bunnies, and to fight for bunnies.

Pinkification A relatively new technology, Pinkification is done with a specially designed airborne gas virus. Also an injection is used. Details unpleasant.

I captured the bunny from the wild and took a picture of it. It tried to bunnify me, as you can tell from the hypnotic bunny spiral in its eye. Luckily, the camera lens deflected the bunnification rays. I also made a disturbing discovery: that HPBs have the ability to make photographs of them look fake. No one has ever been able to photograph what an HPB truly looks like. After taking the photograph, I released the bunny into the wild.

A thought: Are there any nice HPBs?

    Pie 0

146- Um… anyone… if you ever catch an HPB, please dispose of it properly. I have started a company that de-bunnifies the bunny so that anyone does not release an HPB in any populated area, where it could harm anyone.

I have also made a scary discovery about HPB’s. They have the ability to turn white for about an hour, where they might get bought if they are at the pet store… and as soon as the buyer gets the disguised HPB into the car, the HPB bunnifies the buyer. Then, the two HPB’s go off and bunnify the pet store workers, and on and on! So watch out!

This doesn’t have anything that directly relates to HPBs, and it is really nit-picky, but i have noticed a small, and very unimportant error in post 0. It reads, “Limning the Luciferian logic of the leporine legions.” The word Luciferian, commonly known to mean evil or Satanic, does not really mean so at all. Lucifer was the name of Satan when he was still the most powerful archangel, in good standing with God. After the Fall, however, his name was changed from “Bringer of Light” to Satan. This has been bugging me for some time now, and I finally broke down and am now writing this post. I believe I may have OCD, to some extent. Maybe I’m just a perfectionist. In either case, I hope I have prevented some serious misconceptions about religion and alliteration.

  165. New findings from the Lagomorphology Department at Muse Academy:

    1. HPBs are obsessed with symmetry, probably as a result of having two ears. They like things to come in powers of two (2, 4, 8, 16, etc.) — hence their aversion to music played in 3/4 time. Their reactions to waltzes vary from mild distraction to unbearable torment, depending on the volume. Some lagopsychologists believe that such music can disrupt their higher brain functions, turning them back into ordinary bunnies until the music stops. That’s uncertain, however, as they flee waltzes as soon as they hear them.

    2. Bunnies are extremely vain about their personal appearance, particularly their cuteness and symmetry. (They probably do not experience cuteness the same way we do.) If one of them becomes asymmetric — say, by losing an ear — its fellow bunnies will shun it and may even tear it to pieces.

    3. As mentioned before, bunnies cannot interpret visual symbols — in other words, they can’t read letters or numbers (though they can see photographs and other realistic pictures). They have good memories and snobbishly consider written records a crutch for inferior beings, but this disability does give humans an advantage in some situations.

    4. Some lagormorphologists theorize that the evil, intelligent HPBs are mutants born from nice pink bunnies of ordinary rabbit intelligence. Such kindly, non-sentient HPBs may be the ones that Kagcomix depicts in her drawings. Experts also suspect that the “evilus” bunnies cannot reproduce and are completely dependent on their ordinary (though also pink) kin to replenish their ranks. Absence of mating behavior may free HPBs to focus singlemindedly on world domination. These hypotheses are highly speculative, however, as nobody has observed bunny society and lived to tell the tale.

    Pie 0
    Squid 0
  166. Raynpho says:

169- Oh! That is pure genius. The part about the waltzes sounds a bit like the description of a basilisk from Harry Potter. Though the bunnies are, quite obviously, much more dangerous.

The information about waltzes and visual symbols is also highly informative! I’m sure it could be put to good use in a number of bunny-resisting methods…

    Pie 0
    Squid 0
  167. groundhog22 says:

169 – Well, I actually did get to observe bunny society in earlier days, thanks to my bunnyproof suit. At least at that point, they reproduced just like any other animal. But all the evilus bunnies we’ve seen in recent times are male. This leaves me with a few possibilities as to their reproduction.

First, Robert’s theory about them turning nicegoodius bunnies. Nicegoodius bunnies haven’t been spotted in years, but this may be because the evilus ones have captured them all and are using them as breeders.

Second, there are female evilus, but they do not go out into the open at all, instead spending all of their time being pregnant with and giving birth to more evilus. They may even be using genetic engineering to reproduce, similar to how Dolly the sheep was cloned. Create embryos in a lab, and then implant them into a female evilus. This would allow for huge amounts of evilus to be born, without the males ever having to stop thinking about world domination.

Third, the evilus has become an exclusively male species, reproducing through clones and genetic engineering. The offspring are grown in artificial wombs.

And fourth, the evilus has evolved to have both male and female organs, similar to some types of slugs, and has begun to lay eggs, like the platypus or echidna. Self-fertilization and subsequent egg-laying would be automatic, and as the eggs would hatch without any sort of help, reproduction would not distract the evilus from world domination.

Pretty much. Space Shuttle Endeavour’s already on the pad just in case. They’d have to launch Endeavour with a skeleton crew, rendezvous, and transfer the Atlantis crew to Endeavour. For the transfer, though, everybody would have to be out in the void, wearing space suits- presumably without tethers, which adds a whole different degree of threat to it.

There’s never been two shuttles in space at a time and they’ve never done a transfer like that. Nobody even planned for anything like it until the Columbia disaster back in ’03.

(Inspired by the “Recorded Outbreaks” section of Max Brooks’ ‘The Zombie Survival Guide’, and in order to clear up some loose ends from a long-abandoned fan-fic)

HPB Case Files- Historical Encounters- Germany, 1944

Despite extensive research by historians over the past 60 years into various Nazi secret projects (H. Jones, 1936, 1938), it is surprising how little was known until recently about a failed attack plan known officially as Operation Thunderbolt. Had Thunderbolt succeeded, it is almost certain that the tide of the war would have changed dramatically.

Most of what is currently known about Operation Thunderbolt comes from a series of 1973 interviews conducted for Aviation Week magazine by the late Vance Pruett.

Pruett was able to determine that Operation Thunderbolt consisted of some sort of unconventional destructive payload that would have been aimed at London via V-2 missile. The missile was launched according to plan, but its guidance system failed, and the weapon was lost somewhere in the North Sea.

In his article, Pruett suggested several theories as to what the Thunderbolt payload could have been, including various types of chemical and biological weapons. However, in light of recent discoveries, the truth has emerged, and it is far scarier.

Under unknown circumstances, a Hot-Pink Bunny was discovered and brought to the missile base at Peenemunde. When and how the HPB came into Nazi possession is unknown, but military officials were aware of its destructive potential and planned to send it to England, in the hope of creating mass chaos.

Technicians were ordered to ready a V-2 for this purpose, with some who refused being fed to the HPB as a demonstration. Convinced that such power should never be unleashed upon innocent civillians, the engineers secretly sabotaged the missile’s guidance system. Decades before the knowledge of any forms of depigmentization, they hypodermically injected the HPB with a cocktail of various anesthetics.

Both measures proved effective, resulting in the surrender of Germany the following year, as the reader should be aware. The HPB survived the missile’s impact with the ocean, but remained entombed within it, still asleep, for over sixty years, until it was awakened by nearby munitions tests preformed by the British Navy.

Mutated by the drugs and the radiation it had experienced on its flight, it began attacking shipping in the area with greater than normal strength, in several cases biting through hulls of industrial steel. A Muse team was contacted and dealt with the problem, resulting in the monster HPB’s defeat and capture.

An analysis of the chemicals in its bloodstream has since yielded several improvements in debunnification serum, collectively known as the Peenemunde Formula.

The following is a technological familiarization briefing created by the Anti-Lagomorphic Logistics, Science and Technology Applied Research Group, otherwise known as ALLSTAR. Read it throughly, as it may someday save your life.

ALLSTAR Group Technology Brief- Communications- SOFAR Bomb

The unceasing battle against the hot-pink menace frequently takes our agents to exotic and dangerous locales worldwide. In these far-flung operations, rapid and reliable communication with our headquarters in Iceland in the event of an emergency is a necessity.

However, there are various circumstances where traditional electronic means of communication are impractical or dangerous, especially when enemies lagomorphic or otherwise are monitoring all frequencies. In search of a covert distress signal usable by our agents in the field, ALLSTAR turned to nature and to a proposal made by two American military scientists in the 1940s.

Since 1943, it has been known that at a certain depth in the oceans, conditions of temperature and pressure are just right to allow sound to be naturally magnified and carried far. Whales have been observed communicating over great distances by singing in this deep sound channel.

Shortly after this phenomenon was discovered, Navy scientists proposed giving small explosive devices to pilots flying missions over the ocean. In the event of an emergency, the explosive device would be dropped into the water, and would be timed to explode once it reached the deep sound channel. The shock waves would be carried in the channel and detected by hydrophones at installations onshore. By triangulating the signal, the downed pilot could be located and rescued without any electromagnetic signals that could have alerted an enemy to en’s position.

These SOFAR (SOund Fixing And Ranging) bombs were never actually employed by the American military, although a similar concept was used to detect Soviet submarines. ALLSTAR has revised and improved the design and our version is now standard issue to all agents on missions involving travel over or operations near the ocean.

Thanks to the MAURS (Muse Acoustic Underwater Rescue and Surveillance, pronounced “Mars”) system of hydrophones, wherever in the world you are, you have a guarantee that your signal will be detected wherever in the world you are.
