Life, the universe, pies, hot-pink bunnies, world domination, and everything
I would really appreciate this being the first comment, as I am the one who is always quoting random songs. Well, let’s start it out:
Gleaming in the moonlight
Cool and clean and all I’ve ever known
All I ever wanted
Sweet perfumes of incense
Graceful rooms of alabaster stone
All I ever wanted
This is my home
With my father, mother, brother
Oh so noble, oh so strong
Now I am home
Here among my trappings and belongings
I belong
And if anybody doubts it
They couldn’t be more wrong
I am a sovereign prince of Egypt
A son of the proud history that’s shown
Etched on ev’ry wall
Surely this is all I ever wanted
All I ever wanted
All I ever wanted
[Queen]
This is your home, my son
Here the river brought you
And it’s here the river meant
To be your home
Now you know the truth, love
Now forget and be content
When the gods send you a blessing
You don’t ask why it was sent…
Ooh. Japanese bands all the way. The only other bands/people I really listen to are The Shins, Fiona Apple, and Enya. xD
But most of the time it’s Japanese. Random Favorites:
Blue Train
Natsu no Hi, Zanzou ( A Summer Day, the Afterimage)
Jiheishou Tansaku ( A Search for Autism. Though the titie seems unrelated to the actual song. )
[ All three by Asian Kung Fu Generation! ♥ ]
Existence- L’arc~en~Ciel
Nakushita Kotoba ( Lost Words)- No Regret Life
Passion- Utada Hikaru
Memorial Address- Ayumi Hamasaki
Wind- Akeboshi
Hajimete Kimi to Shabetta ( The First Time I Spoke With You)- gagagaSP ( Don’t ask about the names, Japanese bands have a weird thing about them. o.o )
I have more. But no one wants to hear it, so I’ll scurry back to my Geometry homework.
yayness!
this is one of my fav songs. Oh yeah and i totally copied this off the internet. bad me. oh vell. i have limited time at the moment…
I’m gonna write a little letter,
Gonna mail it to my local dj.
It’s a rockin’ rhythm record
I want my jockey to play.
Roll over beethoven, I gotta hear it again today.
You know, my temperature’s risin’
And the jukebox blows a fuse.
My heart’s beatin’ rhythm
And my soul keeps on singin’ the blues.
Roll over beethoven and tell tschaikowsky the news.
I got the rockin’ pneumonia,
I need a shot of rhythm and blues.
I think I’m rollin’ arthiritis
Sittin’ down by the rhythm review.
Roll over beethoven rockin’ in two by two.
Well, if you feel you like it
Go get your lover, then reel and rock it.
Roll it over and move on up just
A trifle further and reel and rock it,
Roll it over,
Roll over beethoven rockin’ in two by two.
Well, early in the mornin’ I’m a-givin’ you a warnin’
Don’t you step on my blue suede shoes.
Hey diddle diddle, I am playin’ my fiddle,
Ain’t got nothin’ to lose.
Roll over beethoven and tell tschaikowsky the news.
You know she wiggles like a glow worm,
Dance like a spinnin’ top.
She got a crazy partner,
Oughta see ’em reel and rock.
Long as she got a dime the music will never stop.
Roll over beethoven,
Roll over beethoven,
Roll over beethoven,
Roll over beethoven,
Roll over beethoven and dig these rhythm and blues.
Nork nork.
…And if your glass heart should crack
And for a second you turn back
Oh no
Be strong
Oh-hh
Walk on…
..You could have flown away
A singing bird
In an open cage
Who will only fly
Only fly
For freedom…
…And I know it aches
How your heart it breaks
You can only take so much
Walk on
Walk on…
I’m listening to U2 right now. That’s all the of the song I could keep up with typing. (I’m pretty slow with this stuff) “Walk On” is dedicated to Aung San Suu Kyi, (sp) who is a political prisoner in Vietnam. She won the Nobel Peace Prize. Good song, good message.
Can you tell I’m bored?
Myanmar (Burma), not Vietnam.
This is a really good song, but it makes next to no sense. It’s more about beat and fast music than an actual message. But that doesn’t matter, it’s still awesome.
Throw up your rockfist
if you’re feelin it when I drop this.
Show ’em how we blow the spot,
Let’s make it hot,
Let’s shock ’em with the bodyrock ’til the party stops.
It’s time to take it up a notch, and keep it locked,
for all the headbangers in the parking lot.
Here we come, if you’re ready or not.
No time to talk.
Cause we on the clock bringin that Uhh, Uhh, to your block.
Let me show ya where we’re comin from,
it don’t stop, from L.A. to New York.
Show me what you got now!
All I know is what it did take to make this.
All I am is what it will take to break this.
All I know is what it did take to make this.
All I am is what it will take to break this.
Light it up now, Light it up now.
Try runnin me down, keep runnin around,
I’m fakin you out, would you just,
make it what you want it to be,
about to find out, what you’re all about,
I’m callin you out, won’t ya just set me free.
Try runnin me down, keep runnin around,
I’m fakin you out, would you just,
make it what you want it to be,
about to find out, what you’re all about,
I’m callin you out, won’t ya just set me free.
All I know is what it did take to make this.
All I am is what it will take to break this.
All I know is what it did take to make this.
All I am is what it will take to break this.
Light it up now, light it up now.
Throw up your rawkfist if you’re feelin it when I drop this.
(BOOM-BOOM)
That’s the sound when the rock hits.
Oh, you never know, I might let go.
Get ready, Get set.
Throw up your rawkfist if you’re feelin it when I drop this.
Uhh, Uhh,
That’s the sound when the rock hits.
Oh, you never know, I might let go.
Get ready, Get set.
That’s the sound when the rock hits
That’s the sound when the rock hits,
That’s the sound when the rock hits.
Make the sound when the rock hits,
Throw up you rockfist if you’re feelin it when I drop this
That song’s called “Rawkfist”, and it’s by Thousand Foot Krutch. Go TFK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ouch! A rock just fell on my head!!!
I’m not listening to anything right now. *gasp* yes i got the superglue off my headphones The last thing i listened to last night was a rock version of what child is this by stink of death. If you’ve never heard of them, don’t worry. Nobody has. They’re a couple of my dad’s friends who never show up when they get hired we tried to get them for the bocce tournament, they couldn’t come. We tried to get them for my mom’s graduation party, they didn’t come. I guess you can’t really blame them though. They live in the U.P. Talk about bad place to start a rock band…
ok i g2g now but yeah. i’ll post…something…later.
Irish music rocks!
Wow, I’m bored like…I am really, really bored.
Plus I’m never on anymore. (Collapses)
So I’ll start back off with an easy topic to comment on.
Right now I’m listening to my beloved, if decidedly explicit Dresden Dolls CD.
“Half Jack” is playing, and it is crazy good, kind of like cheetos or whatever they’re called.
half underwater
I’m half my mother’s daughter
a fraction’s left up to dispute
the whole collection
half off the price they’re asking
in the halfwayhouse of ill repute
half accidental
half pain
full instumentall
I have a lot to think about
you think they’re joking
you have to go provoking
I guess it’s high time you found out
it’s half biology
and half corrective surgery gone wrong
you’ll notice something funny
if you hang around here for too long
long ago in some black hole
before they had these pills to take it back
I’m half Jill
and half Jack
two halves are equal
a cross between two evils
it’s not an enviable lot
but if you listen
you’ll learn to hear the difference
between the halfs and the half-nots
and when I let him in
I feel the stitches geting sicker
I try to wash him out
but like they
the blood is thicker
I see my mother in my face
but only when I travel
I run as fast as I can run
but Jack comes tumbling after
and when I’m brave enough
and find a clever way to kick him out
and i’m so high
not even you and all your love can bring me
down on 83’d he never
found the magic words
to change this fact:
I’m half Jill
and half Jack
I’m halfway home now
half hoping
for a showdown
’cause i’m not big enough
to house this crowd
it might destroy me
but I’d sacrifice my body
if it meant I’d get the Jack part
out
SEE JACK RUN
Woo.
She’s got everything dee-lite-ful
she’s got everything I need
Takes the wheel when I’m seeing double
Pays my ticket when I speed-From “Sugar Magnolia”, by the Grateful Dead
Watch out
Wait till the party’s over
Oooh, baby
Strange but not a stranger
I’m an-ordinary girl
Burning down the house
Hold tight
Wait ’til the party’s over
Hold tight
We’re in for nasty weather
There has got to be a way
Burning down the house
He’s to take it back to back, trouble jumping overboard
Transportation disappears
Close enough but not too far, baby you know where you are
Fighting fire with fire
au where
yeah you might need a payphone
take down
dreams walking in broad daylight
three under
sixty-five degrees
burning down the house
it was once so fine a place, sometimes I even lose myself
gonna come in first place
people wonder where to work
Say “Baby, what did you expect?”
gonna burst into place
gonna hit it…
Burning down the house
My house
Sight over ordinary
That’s right
Don’t wanna hurt nobody
So please-sugar-sweep me off my feet
Burning down the house
No he ain’t got no self-support, and you have not seen nothing yet
Everything’s stuck together
I am not what you expect salivating from my own respect
Fighting fire with fire
Waah…
Burning down the house-“Burning Down The House” by Talking Heads. David Byrne, who wrote the song, was declared subclinically neurotic as a kid. Yeah.
I like Wings, X, Oingo Boingo, Paul Simon, Simon and Garfunkel,
Tom Petty, Slade (which is written on my knuckles now), Mudd, Wizzard, Little Feat, Les Negresses Vertes, Les Rita Mitsouko, Eurythmics, Annie Lennox, Elvis Costello, the Buzzocks, the Sex Pistols, Guns ‘N’ Roses, Led Zeppelin, the Clash, the Specials and UB40, among other things.
Gosh, you guys have good taste in music.
Currently listening to “Rockestra Theme” by Wings. It’s a good song, even if the title makes no sense.
I have to go. Fixing the skeleton is taking a zark of a lot of work.
Let it be let it be let it beeee let it be whisper words of wisdom, let it beeeee
that was playing before science and it’s been stuck in my head on and off all day. Especially the guitar solo bit. doo doo doodoodoo doo doo doodoodoo doo doo doodoodoodoo doo doo deeeuw doo doo deeeuw doodoodoo doo doodoodoo doo doo doo doodooo doo doodoodoodoodooodoodooooooo. aaah!!!!!
I like that song. I was just listening to it, actually. Creepy.
No more lonely nights…never be another…you’re my guiding light-they won’t light I’m always there. How about we guess where lyrics are from? This one is easy.
Take me down to Junior’s Farm…
“So I Thought” by Flyleaf (find theip PureVolume page to listen):
All your twisted thoughts free flow
To everlasting memories
Show soul
Kiss the stars with me
And dread the wait for
Stupid calls returning to us to life
We say to those who are in love
It can’t be true ’cause we’re too young
I know that’s true because so long I was
So in love with you
So I thought
A year goes by
And I can’t talk about it
On my knees
Dim lighted room
Thoughts free flow try to consume myself in this
I’m not faithless
Just paranoid of getting lost or that I might lose
Ignorance is bliss cherish it
Pretty neighborhoods you learn to much to hold
Believe it not
And fight the tears
With pretty smiles and lies about the times
A year goes by
And I can’t talk about it
The times weren’t right
And I couldn’t talk about it
Choris Romance says goodnight
Close your eyes and I’ll close mine
Remember you, remember me
Hurt the first, the last between
Choris Romance says goodnight
Close your eyes and I’ll close mine
Remember you, remember me
Hurt the first, the last, between
And I’m praying that we will see
Something there in between
Then and there that exceeds all we can dream
So we can talk about it
Choris Romance says goodnight
Close your eyes and I’ll close mine
Remember you, remember me
Hurt the first, the last between
Choris Romance says goodnight
Close your eyes and I’ll close mine
Remember you, remember me
Hurt the first, the last healing
And I’m praying that we will see
Something there in between
Then and there that exceeds all we can dream
And all these twisted thoughts I see
Jesus there in between
And all these twisted thoughts I see
Jesus there in between
When I became of age
my mother called me to her side
She said son you’re growing up now,
pretty soon you’ll take a bride…
And then she said…
Just because you’ve become a young man now
There’s still some things that you don’t understand now
Before you ask some girl for her hand now
Keep your freedom for as long as you can now
My mama told me
you better shop around
yeah yeah you better shop around!
There’s some things that I want you to know now
A just as sure as the winds gonna blow now
The women come and the women gonna go now
Before you tell ’em that you love ’em so now
My mama told me
you better shop around
oh yeah you better shop around
A-gotta get yourself a bargain son
Don’t be sold on the very first one
A-pretty girls come a dime a dozen
try to find one who’s gonna give ya true lovin
Before you take a girl and say I do now
make sure she’s in love with-a you now
My mama told me
You better shop around
Try to get yourself a bargain son
Don’t be sold on the very first one!
pretty girls come a dime a dozen
try to find one who’s gonna give ya true lovin
Before you take a girl and say ‘I do’ now
Make sure she’s in love with a-you now
Make sure that her love is true now
I’d hate to see you feelin’ sad and blue now
My Mama told me
You better shop around
He sings like a girl. Good song though…
We played that in band last year, in a medley w/stop in the name of love and i’ll be there.
oooh! I’ll be there! That’s another good one. But i shall not post…yet…this thing’s pretty long already.
i never listen to popular music, or anything like that. i enjoy listening to movie soundtracks though. its the dramatic music, and its good to wake up to , or for when you’re reading.
we sing the best stuff in chorus, but its not so great after we’ve rehearsed it 10000 times.
A song I like: (although nobody else will like it, I shouldn’t wonder.) Yes, that my Puddleglum/Marvin side showing through.

That’s by the Lost Dogs: a Society for the Musically Humane. Yes, I copied it off the internet. Hey! Remembering all that stuff is hard! And I’m lazy!
Pardon. Myanmar. Stupid. I should know that.
Five hours of Geometry homework=Depressed sort of Asian Kung Fu Generation song.
Jiheishou Tansaku
Stamping the errors that just missed one another
I’m always searching for that reason, that I smashed up a little too much
I’m frantic in the morning that has slipped off
I’m mourning and crying over the moment that I cut up a little too much
The words that don’t sound out in my heart
I’ve already forgotten the reason why
Break it
The sad spring, it hasn’t budded
I’ll sever it’s connection to the world
By means that I hold back
Without moving the shaking needle forward
I’m waiting to find someone, and connect with them
The words that don’t sound out in my heart
I’ve already forgotten the reason why
The words sound out, but they don’t reach you
You’ve already forgotten about me
Break it
Remember
Break down the wall
Remember
yay for songs..and..erm..stuff
My dad taught me this song when i was 3. It must’ve been hilarious watching me sing it. Anyway, this is just one of those songs that feels a bit like a teddy bear or a blankie sometimes just cuz i’ve known it forever…
Looking out on the morning rain
I used to feel so uninspired
And when I knew I had to face another day
Lord, it made me feel so tired
Before the day I met you, life was so unkind
But you’re the key to my peace of mind
Because you make me feel,
You make me feel, you make me feel like
A natural woman
When my soul was in the lost-and-found
You came along to claim it
I didn’t know just what was wrong with me
Till your kiss helped me name it
Now I’m no longer doubtful of what I’m living for
And if I make you happy I don’t need to do more
Because you make me feel,
You make me feel, you make me feel like
A natural woman
Oh, baby, what you’ve done to me
You make me feel so good inside
And I just want to be close to you
You make me feel so alive
You make me feel,
You make me feel, you make me feel like
A natural woman
good song. yayness. Oh i said i’d put up i’ll be there too! ok this is gonna be a really long post but i’ll add it on anyway…
.
Hum. That rap-style song was obviously makign fun of people who are offended if they arn’t included. Hehe– they missed Jews, along with Muslims and lots of other religions!
Here’s another song like that, called National Brotherhood Week:
Oh, the white folks hate the black folks,
And the black folks hate the white folks.
To hate all but the right folks
Is an old established rule.
But during National Brotherhood Week, National Brotherhood Week,
Lena Horne and Sheriff Clarke are dancing cheek to cheek.
It’s fun to eulogize
The people you despise,
As long as you don’t let ’em in your school.
Oh, the poor folks hate the rich folks,
And the rich folks hate the poor folks.
All of my folks hate all of your folks,
It’s American as apple pie.
But during National Brotherhood Week, National Brotherhood Week,
New Yorkers love the Puerto Ricans ’cause it’s very chic.
Step up and shake the hand
Of someone you can’t stand.
You can tolerate him if you try.
Oh, the Protestants hate the Catholics,
And the Catholics hate the Protestants,
And the Hindus hate the Moslems,
And everybody hates the Jews.
But during National Brotherhood Week, National Brotherhood Week,
It’s National Everyone-smile-at-one-another-hood Week.
Be nice to people who
Are inferior to you.
It’s only for a week, so have no fear.
Be grateful that it doesn’t last all year!
Aretha Franklin is very cool.
I would like to have been born in 1958. In ’77 (best year for rock and roll) I would have been 19 or so, and that would have been very cool. Never mind. Wishful thinking.
“No More Lonely Nights” by Wings.
I LOVE NATIONAL BROTHERHOOD WEEK! TOM LEHRER IS A ZARKING GENIUS!
I have memorized “The Elements”. I deserve a Nobel prize.
I assume you were talking about ‘breath deep’, Phoenix. It doesn’t really sound very rappy. You can trust me, I dispise rap. Although, that’s not really very brotherly. Yay for National Brotherhood Week! Also, the song isn’t supposed to make fun of anyone, it’s supposed to make a point.
I’m OK with rap, I just don’t like it.
When is NBW? Do we know? How about the last week of January? Could we mark it on our calendars? What about National Gallbladder Week?
I know, it makes me crick up. I am using ‘the elements’ for physics class.
there’s antimony arsenic aluminum selinium…
I just sort of made half of those elements up.
Hey guys, I’m in the Iron Maidens.
No seriously, we’re doing these jeopardy-type games in history for exam review, and our team name is Iron Maiden. We could think of a name so the feather made one up for us. oh yeah and he spilled his spiked coffee all over his shirt today. That was pretty funny. The look on his face just cracked me up. I know, i’m a mean terrible person…
Anyway, i’m in 2nd hr. class so nobody’s awake so he had to make up names for all the teams. The other two are dream theater and something else that i forgot. whoops. oh well…
525,600 minutes
how do you measure, measure a year
played that for our band concert tonight. Fun stuff. i’m gonna go rant about the concert on the band geeky thread now…
I used to listen only to classical, but now I like more modern things, like Green Day and Lincoln Park. There’s also a rock band called Apocalyptica that’s cool.
But I still am strongly against rap
“Some Will Seek Forgiveness, Others Escape” by UnderOath (not your typical screamo song… chorus{es} in CAPS):
I heard a voice through the discord
A deluge of passersby
I saw one gaze frozen in time
Watching me passing by
I swear I’ll know your face in the crowd
And I’ll hear your voice so loud
When you’re whispering
HEY UNFAITHFUL, I WILL TEACH YOU
TO BE STRONGER, TO BE STRONGER
HEY UNGRACEFUL, I WILL TEACH YOU
TO FORGIVE ONE ANOTHER
Here’s my kiss to betray
Desperate to brush the lips of grace
Do you feel hollow when you think of how I lied?
Oh sweet angel of mercy
With your grace like the morning
Wrap your loving arms around me
Oh sweet angel of mercy
With your grace like the morning
Wrap your loving arms around me
HEY UNFAITHFUL, I WILL TEACH YOU
TO BE STRONGER, TO BE STRONGER
HEY UNGRACEFUL, I WILL TEACH YOU
TO FORGIVE ONE ANOTHER
HEY UNFAITHFUL, I WILL TEACH YOU
TO BE STRONGER, TO BE STRONGER
HEY UNLOVING
I WILL LOVE YOU
I WILL LOVE YOU
I WILL LOVE YOU
And Jesus, I’m ready to come home
Jesus, I’m ready to come home
I’m ready to come
HEY UNFAITHFUL
HEY UNGRACEFUL
HEY UNLOVING
I WILL LOVE YOU
HEY UNLOVING
I WILL LOVE YOU
Rap is icky. Green Day is way overrated. Some of their stuff is good though…i like bnl. If you don’t know what that stands for, plz don’t ask. anyhoo this is the ultimate procrastinators song. ♥ ♥
Wiped out down the stairs
I’ll bet you there’s a song in there
I’m not sure I’m prepared to write it down
That guy should be me
I’d look much better on t.v.
Then the world would see
That I can do anything
I can be that
But soon you’ll see that
I will never do anything
(fav verse ♥)
Let’s play tic tac toe
I’ll play x, you can be the o.
Thoughts of turning pro
Have crossed my mind
I could make a mint
Fill my pockets with more than lint
I’ll give you a hint
It involves the ’internet’
I can be that
But soon you’ll see that
I will never do anything
I can be that
But soon you’ll see that
I will never do anything
Don’t write me off as an also ran
Just mark me down as an angry man
Got a big chip, you want a fat lip?
How ’bout a mouthful of chiclets?
Life passed me by, but it’s not my fault
I’ll lick my wounds, could you pass the salt?
I can be that, but soon you’ll see that
I will never do anything
If I were the king
All my subjects they would dance and sing
They could kiss my ring
And kiss my a**
When I’m old and grey
I’ll look back on my life and say
’give me one more day,
And I’ll still never do anything.’
I can be that
But soon you’ll see that
I will never do anything
I can be that
But soon you’ll see that
I will never do anything
I can be that
But soon you’ll see that
I will never do anything
I can be that
But soon you’ll see that
I will never do anything
it’s called *gasp* suprise! never do anything. It’s very loud. When you’re listening to it YOU END UP TALKING LIKE THIS WHEN OTHER PEOPLE ASK YOU SOMETHING BECAUSE THE MUSIC’S SO LOUD THAT EVEN IF YOU JUST BARELY HAVE THE VOLUME ON YOU STILL CAN’T HEAR MUCH OF YOUR VOICE
Oh and the iron maidens are totally winning at the history trivia thing now.
On the tunnel of love-yeah, love…
Dire Straits has very nice lyrics. I love Mark Knopfler’s voice. He’s so cool. Today in rock ‘n’ roll, we had a David Bowie-fest. Life on Mars, among other things.
Oh, life is bigger
It’s bigger than you
And you are not me
The lengths that I will go to
The distance in your eyes
Oh no, I’ve said too much
I set it up
That’s me in the corner
That’s me in the spotlight, I’m
Losing my religion
Trying to keep up with you
And I don’t know if I can do it
Oh no, I’ve said too much
I haven’t said enough
I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you singing
I think I thought I saw you try
Every whisper
Of every waking hour I’m
Choosing my confessions
Trying to keep an eye on you
Like a hurt lost and blinded fool, fool
Oh no, I’ve said too much
I set it up
Consider this
Consider this
The hint of the century
Consider this
The slip that brought me
To my knees pale
What if all these fantasies
Come flailing around
Now I’ve said too much
I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you singing
I think I thought I saw you try
But that was just a dream
That was just a dream
That’s me in the corner
That’s me in the spotlight, I’m
Losing my religion
Trying to keep up with you
And I don’t know if I can do it
Oh no, I’ve said too much
I haven’t said enough
I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you singing
I think I thought I saw you try
But that was just a dream
Try, cry, why try?
That was just a dream
Just a dream, just a dream
Dream
I ♥ R.E.M. too
I’m in a WICKED mood…
“Defying Gravity”
Glinda
Elphaba—why couldn’t you have stayed calm for once instead of flying off the handle!
Glinda
I hope you’re happy
I hope you’re happy now
I hope you’re happy how you
Hurt your cause forever
I hope you think you’re clever
Elphaba
I hope you’re happy
I hope you’re happy too
I hope you’re proud how you
Would grovel in submission
To feed your own ambission
Glinda & Elphaba
So though I can’t imagine how
I hope you’re happy right now
Glinda
Elphie, listen to me. Just say you’re sorry!
You can still be with the Wizard
What you’ve worked and waited for
You can have all you ever wanted—
Elphaba
I know
But I don’t want it
No—I can’t want it
Anymore
Something has changed within me
Something is not the same
I’m through with playing by the rules
Of someone else’s game
Too late for second-guessing
Too late to go back to sleep
It’s time to trust my instincts
Close my eyes and leap…
It’s time to try
Defying gravity
I think I’ll try
Defying gravity
And you can’t pull me down
Glinda
Can’t I make you understand
You’re having dillusions of grandeur?
Elphaba
I’m through accepting limits
Cuz someone says they’re so
Some things I cannot change
But till I try I’ll never know
Too long I’ve been afraid of
Losing love I guess I’ve lost
Well if that’s love
It comes at much too high a cost
I’d sooner buy
defying gravity
Kiss me goodbye
I’m defying gravity
And you can’t pull me down!
Glinda, come with me. Think of what we could do—together!
Unlimited
Together we’re Unlimited
Together we’ll be the greatest team
There’s ever been
Glinda—
Dreams the way we planned ’em
Glinda
If we work in tandem…
Glinda & Elphaba
There’s no fight we cannot win
Just you and I
Defying gravity
With you and I
Defying gravity
Elphaba
They’ll never bring us down…
Well? Are you coming?
Glinda
I hope you’re happy
Now that your choosing this…
Elphaba
You too
I hope it brings you bliss
Glinda & Elphaba
I really hope you get it
And you don’t live to regret it
I hope you’re happy in the end
I hope you’re happy my friend…
Elphaba
So if you care to find me
Look to the Western sky
As someone told me lately
Ev’ryone deserves the chance to fly
And if I’m flying solo
At least I’m flying free
To those who ground me
Take a message back from me:
Tell them how I
Am defying gravity
I’m flying high
Defying gravity
And soon I’ll match them in reknown
And nobody in all of Oz
No Wizard that there is or was
Is ever gonna bring Me Down!
Glinda
I hope you’re happy
Ozians
Look at her, she’s Wicked
Get her!
Elphaba
…Bring me down!
Ozians
No one mourns the wicked
So we got to bring her…
Elphaba
Ohhhhh!
Ozians
Down!
Aw man, I was going to post the lyrics to National Brotherhood Week..
Apocalyptica is the finnish-cellos/ists-playing-metallica one, right?
How do I know my youth is all spent
my get up and go has got up and went
but in spite of it all, I’m able to grin
when I think of the places my get-up has been.
Old age is golden, so I’ve heard said
but sometimes I wonder as I crawl into bed
with my ears in a drawer and my teeth in a cup
and my eyes on the table until I wake up
As sleep diims my vision, I think to myself
“Is there anything else I should lay on the shelf?”
but though nations are warring and [different versions have different words here; I’ve heard “Nixon” “congress” and “business”] is vexed
we’ll still stick around to see what happens next.
[chorus]
When I was younger, my slippers were red
I could kick up my heels right over my head
when I was older my slippers were blue
but still I could dance the whole night through
now I am old, my slippers are black
I huff to the store, and I puff my way back
but never you laugh; I don’t mind at all
I’d rather be huffing than not puff at all
[chorus]
Early each morning, I dust off my wits
open the papers; read the obits
If I’m not there, I know I’m not dead
so I eat a good breakfast and roll back to bed
[chorus]
Good song. If anyone’s actually read down here, which I doubt they have, they were playing “We shall overcome” between classes at school yesterday. Yay.
Yay for Wicked!!!!!
Here’s the song I always crack on when I’m trying to practice my solo part…
How many roads must a man walk down
before they call him a man
how many seas must a white dove sail
before she sleeps in the sand
How many times must the cannon balls fly
before they’re forever banned
the answer my friend
is blowin’ in the wind
the answer is blowin in the wind
Lemme guess, half of you already knew that.
oh no…plz…
it’s not actually a bad song so much (ok so it’s not great but i’ll listen to anything) but i’ve only heard it 290384756938729348 times…my mom LOVES that song and sings it ALL THE TIME!!!
I ♥ this song…might’ve posted it somewhere else but oh vell it’s going here. Oh yeah and i got it off the internet cuz i’m feeling lazy. bum bada bum bum BUUUUUUUUMMMM
Since I was a young boy
I’ve played the silver ball
From Soho down to Brighton
I must have played them all
But I ain’t seen nothing like him
In any amusement hall
That deaf, dumb and blind kid
Sure plays a mean pinball
He stands like a statue
Becomes part of the machine
Feeling all the bumpers
Always playing clean
He plays by intuition
The digit counters fall
That deaf, dumb and blind kid
Sure plays a mean pinball
He’s a pinball wizard
There’s got to be a twist
A pinball wizard
He’s got such a supple wrist
How do you think he does it?
(I don’t know)
What makes him so good?
He ain’t got no distractions
Can’t hear those buzzers and bells
Don’t see lights a flashin’
Plays by sense of smell
Always gets a replay
Never tilts at all
That deaf, dumb and blind kid
Sure plays a mean pinball
I thought I was
The Bally table king
But I just handed
My pinball crown to him
Even on my usual table
He can beat my best
His disciples lead him in
And he just does the rest
He’s got crazy flipper fingers
Never seen him fall
That deaf, dumb and blind kid
Sure plays a mean pinball
yay! listening to that a couple minutes ago. not listening to anything now though so you peoples don’t get anything else
hahaha!!! do you know what’s coming now!!!!…. *deep breath* llama…. *is gagged and tied up before she can sing the llama song which annoys Phoenix so bad* … LLAMA!!!!!!!!!
LLAMA!!!!! YAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
right now i’m listening to POTC soundtrack which has no words. Unless you want me to type out the script at this point. No there is none. Never mind. This is the thing where he’s coming in on the sinking ship…love that scene…
How many roads must a man walk down? 42. Duh.
I don’t really like Bob Dylan’s voice. And his songs are weird.
Unfortunately, practically our entire play is made up of him. Gah, Bob Dylan is killing me!
Yich! Bob Dylan! His voice is annoying! It’s sort of whiney and just generally bothersome.
Yes! Pinball Wizard is such a great song! The Who.
Hmph. I happen to admire Mr. Dylan and enjoy his music immensely.

Can you hear me?
The sky is limitless and blue
The sea is endlessly large
To you, please remain smiling or else I’ll cry
You don’t have to look around now
Because everyone are in these hands
Wanting to cry, wanting to run
If you forget happiness then sing
Light was born and dark was born, the two is together
Feeling harmonia, telepathy
The cloud is white and drifts aimlessly
The rain isn’t black and crying anymore
When you look up, you’ll notice that single line
Someday, the heart calls hallelujah
The wren that searches for an unchanging song
Can you see that we’re all connected with an unseen thread?
Feeling lonely, at the brim of being alone
If you’re buried, close your eyes and sing
Even if we’re apart, on that same land,
Under that mistletoe
Feeling harmonia, telepathy
Can you hear me?
To that dreamer, with love
I will deliver happiness to wherever so sing
If you forget happiness then sing
Light was born and dark was born, the two is together
The final harmonia, telepathy
Can you hear me?
I can hear you. That is a really pretty song!
Shir Hashirim
(the Song of Songs)
is great, and has a double meaning. Can be translated as a love song, and at the same time as a prayer telling of our love to God. I love it, it sounds so beautiful!
Here’s a llama, there’s a llama, and another little llama. Funny llama, fuzzy llama, llama, llama, DUCK.
llama llama cheescake llama, tablet, brick, potato llama llama llama mushrooms llama llama llama DUCK!
i was once a treehouse, i lived in a cake, but i never saw the way the orange slayed the rake. i was only three years dead, but it told a tale, and now listen, little child, to the safety rail.
I was once a treehouse, I lived in a cake, yet I never saw the way the orange slayed the rake. I was only three years dead, but it told a take, so now listen little child, to the safety rail!
Did you ever see a llama kiss a llama on the llama llama’s llama tastes of llama llama llama DUCK half the llama twice the llama, not a llama, famer, llama, llama in a car, alarm a llama llama DUCK!”
(ok so i took two verses but i ♥ that second bit. )
Oh, why must you all torture me so? It should be a MuseBlog rule not to sing “the Llama Song” in Phoenix’s presence.
I have been a good girl have been playing my clarinet every day even though I don’t have lessons. I’m making it seem much more ardurous than it is, I really enjoy playing and I do it pretty well. Don’t tell anyone.
I signed up for graduation band! Yaaay! Well, not a band per se, b/c it is only for the grads and so only three of us can play music without killing those around us, so we have a guitarist (he’s amazing), a drummer/pianist (never heard her play before but I think she’s good) and me, the only woodwind (I’m okay). I still think it will be fun. At least we won’t have to be in the choir, which will be horrific because only four or five people in our grade can sing. There are some skits as well, and I don’t know who can act other than Zyviva, but she is awesome so they will be good. *sighs* I despise demonstration, but what the heck.
River in Judea
Often times I dream of music
of the river that freely flows
and it sings a song sweeter than honey
one everybody knows
Late at night I hear it singing
and again when I wake at dawn
and it fills me up with hope and goodwill
the will to go on, gooooo ooooon
There is a river in judea
that I heard of long ago
its a singing ringing river
that my soul cries out
to know
I believe it keeps on traveling
but it rests on the sabbath day
and the time when it pauses in stillness
I almost hear it pray
When I’m weary and downhearted
how I long for the song it sings
and the calm within its gentle blue
the peace that it brings iiiit briiiiiiiiings
There is a river in Judea
that I heard of long ago
its a singing ringing river
that my soul cries out
to know
May the time not be to distant
when we meet by the river shore
’till then dream of that wonderful day
as we sing once more, oonnnce mooorrre
There is a river in judea
that I heard of long ago
its a singing ringing river
that my soul cries out
to know
Aww, thanks Phoenix. xD I’m currently in love with Sambomaster and the song Seishun Kyosokyoku.
Is that how it’s told now, is it oh so old? Is it made of lemon juice, doorknob, ankle, cold? Now my song is getting thin, I’ve run out of luck. Time for me to retire now and become a DUCK.
My bologna has a first name,
It’s O-S-C-A-R
My bologna has a second name
It’s M-A-Y-E-R
I like to eat it every day,
and if you ask me why I’ll saaaaaaayyyyy
Cause Oscar Mayer has a way
with B-O-L-O-G-N-A
I wish I were an Oscar Meyer weiner
That is what I truly want to be
For if I were an Oscar Meyer weiner
Everyone would be in love with me
NOoooooooOOOOoo! Not the WEINER SONG! It IS illegal to use that on another Muser, by rules of Mostly Harmless at the very ancient beginnings of the Blog, and mentioned on the Gaboomba!
What is with everyone and tormenting your ol’ pal Phoenix?
LOOKS LIKE A MOUNTAIN TO ME! LOOKS LIKE A MOUNTAIN TO ME! LOOKS LIKE A MOUNTAIN TO MEEEEEEEEE!!!!
-froths-
Yesh, the WEINER SONG! MUAHAHAHAHA! MUAHAHAHAHA!
Cause it’s fun, Pheoniks.

Is that “shower” or “sour”?
*sings* You look frenzied, you look frazzled,
Peaked as any Alp.
Flushed and rushed and razzle-dazzled.
Dry your lips, damp your scalp…
Oops.. that was meant to be sour. Hehehehe.
I’ve been traveling on a wing and a prayer
By the skin of my teeth by the breadth of a hair
Traveling where the four winds blow
With the sun on my face- in the ice and the snow
But oooeeee it’s a game
Sometimes you’re cool, sometimes you’re lame
Ah yeah it’s somewhere
and if you don’t know where you’re going
Any road will take you there
But oh Lord, we pay the price
With the spin of the wheel with the roll of the dice
Ah yeah, you pay your fare
And if you don’t know where you’re going
Any road will take you there
Brigitte with her eyes so bright
Looks toward heaven at midnight
On the longest night of year
That’s the one she holds most dear
‘Starry friends,’ she’s often heard to say
‘How I wish that I could make you stay’
Though she knows they can’t stay long
She waits ’till they come ’round again

Crazy bus, crazy bus
Riding on the crazy bus
Riding up, riding down,
Driven by a funny clown.
Wacky, goony, goofy, spoony,
High as a plane or a balloon-y.
Crazy bus, come ride with us
As we ride, ride, ride, ride, ride, ride.
It’s a crazy bus, but not a schmazy bus.
Don’t make a fuss, just come with us.
Slappy, sloopy, gloppy, gloopy
Happy-happy, hoopy-hoopy
Dopey, doffy, screwy, blue-y
Gooey, chewy, fooey, dewey
Absolutely bus-a-looey
Crazy, lazy, crazy, crazy bus.
A flat tire is no problem
Because it’s only flat on the bottom.
A flat tire is no problem
Because it’s only flat on the bottom.
So let’s go!
Let’s go!
Let’s GOOOOOO!
Wacky, goony, goofy, spoony,
High as a plane or a balloon-y.
Crazy bus, come ride with us
As we ride, ride, ride, ride, ride, ride.
It’s a crazy bus, but not a schmazy bus.
Don’t make a fuss, just come with us.
Slappy, sloopy, gloppy, gloopy
Happy-happy, hoopy-hoopy
Dopey, doffy, screwy, blue-y
Gooey, chewy, fooey, dewey
Absolutely bus-a-looey
Crazy, lazy, crazy, crazy bus

Crazy!
–“Crazy Bus”, from that Arthur show on PBS and whatnot… A request of my crazy siblings… *bares fangs at annoying siblings*
okkkkkkkkkaaaaaaaayyyyy… wierd song.. no offense to your siblings of course.
do you know that they’re kicking kids out of school who do blogs at home in some areas? especially myspace. i don’t think this one counts though…
Yes, there is an article about it today in the Washington Post. I think we’re safe, though. Being Mostly Harmless and all, you know.
i am mad a t you people now because i have the llama song stuck in my head. i will start singing ” i was once a treehouse…” and then be like “oh whoops”
it had better not count! we get the washington post!i have never been on a blog before, so nobody try and convince me to meet them somewhere, because then my parents would get mad.
not cool. even if it isn’t skool-appropriate, they aren’t writing it at skool are they? so don’t kick them out of skool. Fit the punishment to the crime!
Here’s a cool mini-kid song. Sing it reeeeeally fast
Oh mares eat oats
and does eat oats
and little lambs eat ivy
A kid’ll eat ivy too,
wouldn’t you?
did i post that already? i think i did…oh well, have it again. Yupeerdeedoo. I’m not listening to anything right now, my battery’s dead so tis chargin
Hey Em wanna meet me at [ZAPPED by GAPA] ok not really. zapped by me. Otherwise i’d have to think up a location…
Em’s parents: Our poor baby!!!!! *rush Em off the internet*
lol. jk.
Honestly kids who post those things will get/already get what they deserve. MySpace is a writhing hole of idiocy on the internet. No offence meant to Musers. But I used to have a MySpace; I deleted it out of disgust for my peers and…personally, I realized it’s a little creepy.
It’s amazing how much kids will post on themselves; however, I don’t believe that we should all be penalized just because of the stupid kids with no self worth. That was a rather acid remark, but really. They don’t.
oooh i need your love babe

eight days a weeek

eight days a weeek
doo doodoodoo doo doodoodoo doo doodoodoo doo
whoohoo, another song we are singing in chorus
you can’t stop an avalanche as it races down the hill
you can try to stop the seasons, girl, but you know you never will
and you can try to stop my dancing feet, but I just cannot stand still
’cause the world keeps spinning ’round and ’round
and my hearts keeping time to the speed of sound
I was lost ’till I heard the drums and I found my waaay
You cant stop the beat!
Ever since this whole world begin
a woman found out if she shook it she could shake up a man
and so I’m gonna shake and shimmy it the best that I can todaaay
cause you can’t stop the motion of the ocean or the sun in the sky
you can wonder if you wanna but I never ask why
if you try to hold me down I’m gonna spit in our eye and saaay
You can’t stop the beat!
You can’t stop today as it comes speeding down the track
Child, yesterday is history and it’s never coming back
But tomorrow is a brand-new day and I don’t know white from black
’cause the world keeps spinning ’round and ’round
and my heart’s keeping time to the speed of sound
I was lost ’till I heard the drums and I found my waaay
You cant stop the beat!
Ever since this whole world begin
a woman found out if she shook it she could shake up a man
and so I’m gonna shake and shimmy it the best that I can todaaay
cause you can’t stop the motion of the ocean or the sun in the sky
you can wonder if you wanna but I never ask why
if you try to hold me down I’m gonna spit in our eye and saaay
You can’t stop the beat!
Aaaah-aaaaahh-aaaaahhh
Aaaaah-aaaaaah-aaaaahhh
Ever since we first saw the light
a man and woman used to shake it on a Saturday night
And so I’m gonna shake and shimmy it with all of my might and saaay
You can’t stop the motion of the ocean or the rain from above
You can try to stop the paridise we’re dreaming of
But you cannot stop the rhythm of two hearts in love to staaay
You can’t stop tha beat!

So long ago, I don’t remember when
That’s when they say I lost my only friend
Well they said she died easy of a broken heart disease
As I listened through the cemetery trees
I seen the sun comin’ up at the funeral at dawn
The long broken arm of human law
Now it always seemed such a waste
She always had a pretty face
So I wondered how she hung around this place
Hey, come on try a little
Nothing is forever
There’s got to be something better than
In the middle
But me & Cinderella
We put it all together
We can drive it home
With one headlight
She said it’s cold
It feels like Independence Day
And I can’t break away from this parade
But there’s got to be an opening
Somewhere here in front of me
Through this maze of ugliness and greed
And I seen the sun up ahead
At the county line bridge
Sayin’ all there’s good and nothingness is dead
We’ll run until she’s out of breath
She ran until there’s nothin’ left
She hit the end-it’s just her window ledge
Hey, come on try a little
Nothing is forever
There’s got to be something better than
In the middle
But me & Cinderella
We put it all together
We can drive it home
With one headlight
Well this place is old
It feels just like a beat up truck
I turn the engine, but the engine doesn’t turn
Well it smells of cheap wine & cigarettes
This place is always such a mess
Sometimes I think I’d like to watch it burn
I’m so alone, and I feel just like somebody else
Man, I ain’t changed, but I know I ain’t the same
But somewhere here in between the city walls of dyin’ dreams
I think her death it must be killin’ me
Hey, come on try a little
Nothing is forever
There’s got to be something better than
In the middle
But me & Cinderella
We put it all together
We can drive it home
With one headlight……
Afrocelt Sould System!
Everyday, you crawl into the night
A fallen angel, with your wings set alight
When you hit the ground
Everything turns to blue
I can’t get through the smoke
That’s surrounding you
Cause when you’re falling
I can’t tell which way is down
And when you’re screaming
Somehow I don’t hear a sound
And when you’re seeing things
Then your feet don’t touch the ground
Cause when you’re falling
I can’t tell which way is down
I can see through the clouds
I can walk right through the walls
Hang me off the ceiling
But I can’t take the fall
Should have crossed the river
But I may get swept away
Out there on the water
You can still see me wave
Cause when you’re falling
I can’t tell which way is down
When you’re falling
I can’t tell which way is down
I keep seeing all those things
My feet don’t touch the ground
Cause when you’re falling
I can’t tell which way is down
And when you’re screaming
Somehow I don’t hear a sound
And when you’re seeing things
Then your feet don’t touch the ground
Cause when you’re falling
I can’t tell which way is down…
Ok I am finished annoying you. Have a nice day.

Signs disappeared
Turn invisible
Got no sign
Somebody got busted
Got a face of stone
And a ghostwritten biography

Hungry for some food
Dogs start a-twitching
And they’re looking at you

He’s dying
Claimed he was a terrorist
Claimed to avert a catastrophe

No one ever said
That he was involved with thieves

blind, blind

Talking heads is cool.
I love that song! It reminds me of the days when I was a little nerdling and was still full of innocence like that girl in that one John Cleese story. Talking Heads is froody to the mackintosh.
Some people wanna fill the world with silly love songs
What’s wrong with that
I’d like to know
‘Cause here I go
Agaaaaaaaaain…
I love you
I love you etc.
I can’t explain the feeling’s plain to me
Now can’t you see
She gave it all, she gave it all to me
What’s wrong with that
I need to know
Cause here I go…again!
I love you etc.
Love doesn’t come in a minute
Sometimes it doesn’t come at all
I only know that when I’m in it
It isn’t silly
Love isn’t silly
Love isn’t silly at all
How can I tell you about
My loved one
I love you etc.

Is this the real life-
Is this just fantasy-
Caught in a landslide-
No escape from reality-
Open your eyes
Look up to the skies and see-
I’m just a poor boy,i need no sympathy-
Because I’m easy come,easy go,
A little high,little low,
Anyway the wind blows, doesn’t really matter to me,
To me
Mama,just killed a man,
Put a gun against his head,
Pulled my trigger,now he’s dead,
Mama,life had just begun,
But now I’ve gone and thrown it all away-
Mama ooo,
Didn’t mean to make you cry-
If I’m not back again this time tomorrow-
Carry on,carry on,as if nothing really matters-
Too late,my time has come,
Sends shivers down my spine-
Body’s aching all the time,
Goodbye everybody-I’ve got to go-
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth-
Mama ooo- (any way the wind blows)
I don’t want to die,
I sometimes wish I’d never been born at all-
I see a little silhouetto of a man,
Scaramouche, scaramouche will you do the fandango-
Thunderbolt and lightning-very very frightening me-

Galileo galileo
Galileo figaro-magnifico-
But I’m just a poor boy and nobody loves me-
He’s just a poor boy from a poor family-
Spare him his life from this monstrosity-
Easy come easy go-,will you let me go-
Bismillah! no-,we will not let you go-let him go-
Bismillah! we will not let you go-let him go
Bismillah! we will not let you go-let me go
Will not let you go-let me go
Will not let you go let me go
No,no,no,no,no,no,no-
Mama mia, mama mia, mama mia let me go-
Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me,for me,for me-
So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye-
So you think you can love me and leave me to die-
Oh baby-can’t do this to me baby-
Just gotta get out-just gotta get right outta here-
Nothing really matters,
Anyone can see,
Nothing really matters-,nothing really matters to me,
Any way the wind blows….
That’s great, it starts with an earthquake, birds and snakes, an aeroplane –
Lenny Bruce is not afraid. Eye of a hurricane, listen to yourself churn –
world serves its own needs, don’t misserve your own needs. Feed it up a knock,
speed, grunt no, strength no. Ladder structure clatter with fear of height,
down height. Wire in a fire, represent the seven games in a government for
hire and a combat site. Left her, wasn’t coming in a hurry with the furies
breathing down your neck. Team by team reporters baffled, trump, tethered
crop. Look at that low plane! Fine then. Uh oh, overflow, population,
common group, but it’ll do. Save yourself, serve yourself. World serves its
own needs, listen to your heart bleed. Tell me with the rapture and the
reverent in the right – right. You vitriolic, patriotic, slam, fight, bright
light, feeling pretty psyched.
It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.
Six o’clock – TV hour. Don’t get caught in foreign tower. Slash and burn,
return, listen to yourself churn. Lock him in uniform and book burning,
blood letting. Every motive escalate. Automotive incinerate. Light a candle,
light a motive. Step down, step down. Watch a heel crush, crush. Uh oh,
this means no fear – cavalier. Renegade and steer clear! A tournament,
a tournament, a tournament of lies. Offer me solutions, offer me alternatives
and I decline.
It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.
I feel fine..
It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.
The other night I tripped a nice continental drift divide. Mount St. Edelite.
Leonard Bernstein. Leonid Breshnev, Lenny Bruce and Lester Bangs.
Birthday party, cheesecake, jelly bean, boom! You symbiotic, patriotic,
slam, but neck, right? Right.
It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it.
It’s the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine
It’s the End of the World as we Know it(and I feel find)~R.E.M.
The sky is black, Billy feels bad
Today he thinks that he’d be better off dead
He hears the pain roaring in his head
He’ll close his eyes and the world turns red
Her name was Hope her hair was blacker than the sky
She had a smile that made the Devil cry
She held is hands, looked him in the eye
She said “Believe, Believe and everything will be fine.”
Everything will be all right
Today’s the day, you can bet on that
I heard her close the door, she ain’t looking back
A twist of fate or a stroke of luck
Well, the answer’s over there beyond the wishing well
Everything will be all right
Take the fire in your hands
And place it at her feet
Walk upon the mountain
Then you’ll sail across the sea
Her eyes are taken from the stars above,
Her voice is Five Hearts Breaking
Her voice is Five Hearts Breaking
Her voice is Five Hearts Breaking
The skies are fire and he’s waiting to die
And his heart’s as empty as a dead man’s eyes
She held his hands, looked him in the eye
She said “Believe, Believe and everything will be fine.”
Everything will be all right
Everything will be all right
Everything will be all right
Five Hearts Breaking~Alejandro Escovedo
Be My Last- Utada Hikaru ( translation, though the song title is sung in Utada’s perfect English xD )
Mother, why
Does there come a day
When we ourselves have to destroy
Even those things that raised us?
As to why I can’t throw away
a scattered collage
My hands can’t connect to anything
Even when holding your hand…
Be my last… Be my last…
Be my last… Be my last…
I beg of you, Be my last…
Being unaccustomed to one another
We really did our best, didn’t we?
We were part of a mistaken love
But it wasn’t a mistake
My hands aren’t able to hold on (to you)
How far were we dreaming?
With my hands With my hands
With my hands With my hands
With my hands Be my last…
So that we may one day be connected
Tonight, I want to meet you for one hour
My hands aren’t able to hold on (to you)
Who was the one trying to be the adult?
Be my last… Be my last…
Be my last… Be my last…
I beg of you, Be my last…
i’m listening to the 1812 overture. Which has no words but is an awesome song.
bum ba dum dum dum dum DAAAA ba dum…
cool, i am listening to my friend shriek and talk to me on the phone…
Bohemian Rhapsody is the BEST SONG!
Today during P.E. (ugh!) while I was being out of the tournament, “My Sharona” came on the radio and I danced to it. Annoyed the fardwarks out of everyone, but I sang and danced, and then Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick In The Wall” came on, and I went haywire singing to it. Also Devo’s “Whip It”, one of the best 80s songs in the universe and the disco song of all time. Move over, Madonna. I also made a mix for one of my preppy friends yesterday and he still needs to listen to it.
But I digress.
Poor Freddie Mercury. He was so cool. I always wondered what that song meant.
people are stra-ange when yar stray-nger,
faces are uglay when yar alone.
do-do-do-dodo–do-do-do-dodo

Am I in luff?
Ahhhh…

Monty Python’s The Rutles is the best film ever. It’s a Beatles parody. You see, they cleverly took the actual Beatles’s screaming fangirl footage and cleverly interspersed it with Dirk, Nasty, Stig, and Barry (the four Rutles). The more you know about the Beatles, the funnier it is. “All you need is cash…”
shrieking isnot a plesant sound…
You have no ide ahow much I want to post the lyrics to Avenue Q….
I ate the last mango in paris

OH and guess what? dad finally found an unabridged audiobook of tale of two cities!!!! too long for my shuffle though… *sniff* might put just part 2 on there or something…but yeah dad’ll put it on his ipod and then i can steal it happy days!
My daddy left home when I was three
And he didn’t leave much to Ma and me
Just this old guitar and an empty bottle of booze.
Now, I don’t blame him cause he run and hid
But the meanest thing that he ever did
Was before he left, he went and named me ‘Sue.’
Well, he must’ve thought that is was quite a joke
And it got a lot of laughs from a lots of folk,
It seems I had to fight my whole life through.
Some gal would giggle and I’d get red
And some guy’d laugh and I’d bust his head,
I tell ya, life ain’t easy for a boy named ‘Sue.’
Well, I grew up quick and I grew up mean,
My fist got hard and my wits got keen,
I’d roam from town to town to hide my shame.
But I made me a vow to the moon and stars
That I’d search the honky-tonks and bars
And kill that man that give me that awful name.
Well, it was Gatlinburg in mid-July
And I just hit town and my throat was dry,
I thought I’d stop and have myself a brew.
At an old saloon on a street of mud,
There at a table, dealing stud,
Sat the dirty, mangy dog that named me ‘Sue.’
Well, I knew that snake was my own sweet dad
From a worn-out picture that my mother’d had,
And I knew that scar on his cheek and his evil eye.
He was big and bent and gray and old,
And I looked at him and my blood ran cold
And I said: “My name is ‘Sue!’ how do you do! Now you gonna die!”
Well, I hit him hard right between the eyes
And he went down but, to my surprise,
He come up with a knife and cut off a piece of my ear.
But I busted a chair right across his teeth
And we crashed through the wall and into the street
Kicking and a’ gouging in the mud and the blood and the beer.
I tell ya, I’ve fought tougher men
But I really can’t remember when,
He kicked like a mule and he bit like a crocodile.
I heard him laugh and then I heard him cuss,
He went for his gun and I pulled mine first,
He stood there lookin’ at me and I saw him smile.
And he said: “Son, this world is rough
And if a man’s gonna make it, he’s gotta be tough
And I know I wouldn’t be there to help ya along.
So I give ya that name and I said good-bye
I knew you’d have to get tough or die
And it’s that name that helped to make you strong.”
He said: ‘Now you just fought one h*** of a fight
And I know you hate me, and you got the right
To kill me now, and I wouldn’t blame you if you do.
But ya ought to thank me, before I die,
For the gravel in ya guts and the spit in ya eye
Cause I’m the son-of-a-b**** that named you ‘Sue’.’
I got all choked up and I threw down my gun
And I called him my pa, and he called me his son,
And I come away with a different point of view.
And I think about him, now and then,
Every time I try and every time I win,
And if I ever have a son, I think I’m gonna name him…
Bill or George! Anything but sue! I still hate that name!

There used to be a graying tower alone on the sea
You remained the light on the dark side of me
But love remained the drug that’s the high no the pill
And did you know, that when it snowed
My eyes become wider and the light that you shine can’t be seen

Everybody’s Changing
You say you wander your own land
But when I think about it
I don’t see how you can
You’re aching, you’re breaking
And I can see the pain in your eyes
Says everybody’s changing
And I don’t know why
So little time
Try to understand that I’m
Trying to make a move just to stay in the game
I try to stay awake and remember my name
But everybody’s changing
And I don’t feel the same
You’re gone from here
And soon you will disappear
Fading into beautiful light
Cause everybody’s changing
And I don’t feel right
So little time
Try to understand that I’m
Trying to make a move just to stay in the game
I try to stay awake and remember my name
But everybody’s changing
And I don’t feel the same
So little time
Try to understand that I’m
Trying to make a move just to stay in the game
I try to stay awake and remember my name
But everybody’s changing
And I don’t feel the same
do you now where I can get lyrics for happy birth day on a bflat clarinet
yay bnl! And if anybody on here doesn’t love this song i will personally blockade them and cut off their supply of virtual choklit.
If i had a million dollars
(if i had a million dollars)
We wouldn’t have to walk to the store
(if i had a million dollars)
No we’d take a limousine cuz it costs more
(if i had a million dollars)
we wouldn’t have to eat kraft dinner!
(but we would eat kraft dinner!)
(of course we would, we’d just eat more of it!)
if i had a million dollars
(if i had a million dollars)
i’d buy you a green dress
(but not a real green dress that’s cruel)
the song’s going faster than i am. arrrgh
if i had a million dollars
if i had a million doooooooooooolllllaaaaaars
i’d be rich.
gotta love that ending
Yay, you all have good taste in music. ^.^ I like popular songs a lot, but I get tired of hearing them all the time. Green Day is way overrated. They might have been a good band once, but now they’re nothing but mainstream poser wannabe punks, if you ask me.
Apocalyptica! Someone has actually heard of Apocalyptica! Joy!!! I’ve heard their CD where they play all Metallica songs, it’s a really unique sound. Anybody else like Rasputina, Those Darn Accordions, or O-Zone? I’ll type some of their lyrics later if I have time.
“Neunundneunzig Luftballons” by Nena:
Hast du etwas Zeit für mich
Dann singe ich ein Lied für dich
Von neunundneunzig Luftballons
Auf ihrem Weg zum Horizont
Denkst du vielleicht g’rad an mich
Singe ich ein Lied für dich
Von neunundneunzig Luftballons
Und daß so was von sowas kommt
Neunundneunzig Luftballons
Auf ihrem Weg zum Horizont
Hielt Man für Ufos aus dem All
Darum schickte ein General
‘Ne Fliegerstaffel hinterher
Alarm zu geben, wenn’s so wär
Dabei war’n da am Horizont
Nur neunundneunzig Luftballons
Neunundneunzig Düsenflieger
Jeder war ein großer Krieger
Hielten sich für Captain Kirk
Das gab ein großes Feuerwerk
Die Nachbarn haben nichts gerafft
Und fühlten sich gleich angemacht
Dabei schoß man am Horizont
Auf neunundneunzig Luftballons
Neunundneunzig Kriegsminister
Streichholz und Benzinkanister
Hielten sich für schlaue Leute
Witterten schon fette Beute
Riefen “Krieg!” und wollten Macht
Mann, wer hätte das gedacht
Daß es einmal so weit kommt
Wegen neunundneunzig Luftballons
Wegen neunundneunzig Luftballons
Neunundneunzig Luftballons
Neunundneunzig Jahre Krieg
Ließen keinen Platz für Sieger
Kriegsminister gibt’s nicht mehr
Und auch keine Düsenflieger
Heute zieh’ ich meine Runden
Seh’ die Welt in Trümmern liegen
Hab’ ‘nen Luftballon gefunden
Denk’ an dich und laß’ ihn fliegen
“Lonely Nation” – Switchfoot
“She turns like the ocean
She tells no emotion
She’s been gunning down the fight
She’s just reminiscing
Blood, sweat and one thing’s missing
She’s been breaking up inside, inside
[chorus]
Singing without tongues, screaming without lungs
I want more than my lonely nation, I want more than my lonely nation
Desperate we are young. Separate we are one.
I want more than my desperation. I want more than
my lonely nation
We are the target market. We set the corporate target.
We are slaves of what we want.
We’re just dumb and amused and we’re just used to bad news and we are slaves of what we want
[chorus]
Lonely, lonely
Don’t leave me hollow. I’m tired.
Don’t leave me hollow. I’m tired of feeling low, of feeling hollow…
[chorus]”
*now its stuck in my head* I LOVE this song! in it, they are personifying america + saying how human nature kind of overthrows real passion. the first time i heard it, it was just like: wow, that is so true
Yay for Nena! yay for Pippin! “Join us leave your fields to flower” Pheobe posted the rest so scroll up and read it!
When the cold of winter comes
Starless night will cover day
In the veiling of the sun
We will walk in bitter rain
but in dreams
I can hear your name
and in dreams
We will meet again
when the seas and mountains fall
and we come to end of days
in the dark I hear your call
calling me there
I will go there
and back again
For Papa make him a scholar!
For Mama make him rich as a king!
For me well I wouldn’t holler
if he were as handsome as anything!
this fire is out of control
it’s gonna burn this city
burn this city
picture yourself in a boat on a river
with tangerine trees and marmalade skies
somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly
a girl with kaleidoscope eyes
there’s a lady who’s sure
all that gltters is gold
now guess where these lyrics come from!
Guess where the bits of lyrics that I posted came from! I’ll send you virtual Nutella if you get them right!
OMG NUTELLA!!! i luv that stuff!!! its almost as good as peanut butter! hehe… are those lyrics from a musical? k, im totally clueless so i’ll go get some peanut butter + think on it…
They are from lots of different songs from different musicals, bands and things.
I can identify them, but I’m the Q&A guy. So I’ll leave it to you Musers. Come on, gang.
1st one: not sure on this one
2nd one: Matchmaker, from Fiddler on the Roof
3rd one: This Fire, Franz Ferdinand
4th one: Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds, The Beatles
5th one: I think it’s Stairway to Heaven, Led Zeppelin
~Luna
I shall now post snippets of lyrics. Do not Google them. I don’t.
Bob is your uncle from pennies to guineas,
The two-sided mint is the rule, not exception,
And would you not quite feel quite the fool of deception
To find the same face on both sides of the coin?
—–
You’ve got to want to rearrange and keep it off the record. Off the record
You’ve got to know that we will change and keep it off the record. Off the record
——
You gotta start sometime
It might as well be now
I wanted you to be mine
——
And don’tcha feel all warm and cozy,
Watching people out in the rain!
~Luna
Welcome, Luna!
OOOOH! I LOVE BARENAKED LADIES!!! SUCH a geat band.
Heya, Luna! unfortunately I am bad with pop culture so I will post my own:
a) these apples are delicious
as a matter of fact they are she said
can all this fruit be free?
b) we are the sultans
we are the sultans of swing…
c) some women are drippin’ with diamonds
some women are dripping with pearls
lucky me, lucky me, lookit what I’m drippin’ with…
little girls!
d) seven years of bumper crops are on their way
(ooohh…)
years of plenty, endless wheat and tons of hay
(ahhh…)
your farms will boom, there won’t be room
to store the surplus food you grow…
e) sometimes people leave you
halfway through the wood
do not let it greave you
no one leaves for good…
f) I am the very model of a modern Major-general
I’ve information vegetable, animal, and mineral
I (garbled) and I quote the fights historical
from in San Juan to Waterloo in order catogorical
I’m very well aquainted too with matters mathematical
from simple and linear to matters quite sabatical…
some of these are from musicals, sorry.
I like Apocolyptica, although I can’t spell it..
And I don’t know any of Luna’s, although I did know #4 of E~A’s was Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds… which, as it turns out, IS about an acid trip after all..
ooh- f is from Pirates of Penzance, when the pirates ahve just appeared on the beach..
And it’s “I know the kings of England”
And from Marathon to Waterloo. (Teddy Roosevelt hadn’t charged up San Juan Hill yet when Gilbert & Sullivan were in business.)
Yay the pirates of penzance!!!
has anybody heard the ranger of ithilien parody of that? it’s at stupidring. note the absense of a link-it’s a pretty pg-13 site. Anyway, don’t remember it all, but…
I am the very model of a ranger of itihilien
i’ve information on what pubs we can get drunk and silly in
i know the kings of gondor and i quote the fights historical
from gondolin to pelennor in order categorical…
and this goes on much the same but like i said i can’t remember any of it now…
who here likes jazz? i’m listening to wynton marsalis now. Can’t sing it though it doesn’t have any words.
my old skool did a production of pirates of penzance + this little guy was the major general
i just thought that was funny. *skips off to another thread*
Luna- all of the ones of mine that you guessed are correct! now someone just needs to guess the first one
Juliette is C from Annie maybe? I think D is from Joseph and the amazing techinicolor dreamcoat though I’m not sure on either
Swiftly fly the years
one season following another
laden with happiness and tears
sé, que hay en tus ojos con solo mirar
estas cansada de andar y andar
y caminar quedando solo en un lugar
Everybody bless the landlord!
Everybody bless his spouse!
Everybody raise a glass
ter the master of the house!
Wouldn’t you rather be a left-handed flea
or a crab on a slab at the bottom of the sea
than a man who never learns how to be free
not ’till he’s cold and dead
o! no! miranos! donde está nuestro corazón
oyé mà cancÃon ya no más sangre gritalo
fé! damé fé! damé alas! damé fuerza!
para sobrevivir en este mundo
it’s time to start living
time to take a little from this world we’re given
time to take time, cause spring will turn to fall
in just no time at all
#109: One of them is Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds by the Beatles (Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band). Paul McCartney says it came from a drawing his son did in kindergarten, but everyone knows it’s really about LSD. Look at the title.
#117: B is from Dire Straits’s Sultans of Swing. Which was a 40s swing band. F is from Pirates of Penzance, it’s Gilbert and Sullivan’s “I Am The Very Model of A Modern Major General”.
#94: Ebeth baby, you mean Jimi Hendrix. Who was froody to the doormat. Oh yeah.
a) Yankees-they saunter
They wanna do just fine
Met ’em in Capolia, but can’t afford a dime
b)Walking around looking like a figment of
Somebody else’s imagination
Taking every word you said just like an open invitation
c)I was alone
I took a ride
I didn’t know what I would find there
d) She wants him to be something
But she knows he never will
She’s got him where she wants him
e) See Angeles
Los Angeles
All the girls go out for black and the boys do too
She’s dyed her hair a lickerange hue…
124- JOHN LENNON NOT PAUL MCCARTNEY!!!!!!! It was Julian Lennon who drew the picture, and John who wrote the song. Duh. It’s obviously a John song- it’s too surreal to be Paul. And they denied that it was about LSD, but Paul admitted in the 1990s that it is…
c- Got to get you into my life, by the Beatles.
oooh! anyone who can recognize Sultans of Swing is a friend of mine! I HEART DIRE STRAITS!
okay, answers for mine:
a) is “These Apples” by Barenaked Ladies.
b) is “Sultans of Swing” by Dire Straits (my favorite band)
c) is from Annie, I forget the name of the song
d) is from Joseph and the Amazing Tecnicolor Dreamcoat
e) is from the Baker’s Wife’s solo, in the finale of Into the Woods. And yes, when she sigs this she is dead, as are most of the other finale people. Don’t ask me to explain it.
and f) is from Pirates of Penzance. Sorry, I thought it was San Guan and a joke that it hadn’t happened yet.
I LOVE INTO THE WOODS!!!!! I can sing it all day… especially the Witch.
WITCH:
Shhhhhhhhhhhhh!
It’s the last midnight.
It’s the last wish.
It’s the last midnight,
Soon it will be boom-
Squish!
Told a little lie,
Stole a little gold,
Broke a little vow,
Did you?
Had to get your Prince,
Has to get your cow,
Have to get your wish,
Doesn’t matter how-
Anyway, it doesn’t matter now.
It’s the last midnight,
It’s the boom-
Splat!
Nothing but a vast midnight.
Everybody smashed flat!
Nothing we can do.
Not exactly true:
We can always give her the boy…
People: No!
Witch: No?
No, of course what really matters
Is the blame,
Somebody to blame.
Fine, if that’s the thing you enjoy,
Placing the blame,
If that’s the aim,
Give me the blame-
Just give me the boy.
People:
No!
Witch:
No?
You’re so nice.
You’re not good,
You’re not bad,
You’re just nice.
I’m not good,
I’m not nice,
I’m just right.
I’m the Witch.
You’re the world.
I’m the hitch.
I’m what no one believes,
I’m the Witch.
You’re all liars and theives,
Like his father,
Like his son will be, too-
Oh, why bother?
You’ll just do what you do.
It’s the last midnight,
So, goodbye all.
Coming at you fast, midight-
Soon you’ll see the sky fall.
Jack, you want a bean?
Have another bean.
Beans were made for making you rich!
Plant them and they soar-
Here, you want some more?
Listen to the roar…
Giants by the score-!
Oh well, you can blame another witch.
It’s the last midnight.
It’s the last verse.
Now, before it’s past midnight,
I’m leaving you my last curse:
I’m leaving you alone
squirming in the mess that you made
solve it on your own
time for me to go I’m afraid
back to what I know
back to long ago
safe inside the world that I’m from
better ugly and spurned with my powers returned and I fear
midnight’s here
time to disappear
mother, here I come!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Yay for the witch in Into the woods!! She is awesome!
now who is witch into the woods?
A badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger mushroom mushroom!!!
We were singing that all through science class today. Haha. Talk about funny looks-the one liefield gave us was a killer. (yes we had finished all our work so there. ah, seventh period science.
that, incidentally, is where most of the interesting things happened.
its also where libby got her very evil twin sister beth.
she was invented during a mutation project, so natuarally she has a tail.
with spikes
and she breathes poisonous and flammable gasses
but those we’re added later.
actually, she was invented during that osmosis cartoon we had to do
*gasp* did i ever tell you about that cartoon?
well, english and history in our skool always are actually one big room with a wall in between that opens so the english and hiistory teachers can do this thingy with both classes
and we used that wall as our cell wall and the kids in the classroom were diffusing between it. except for people named paul, because of that thingy were cell walls can keep things out. and they were doing this because mrs katz’s evil twin mrs dogz had come in and she was being evil. and erm… never mind. it was a complicated metaphor.
and my friend sat on my left side, and wrote on my left arm. ‘property of libby ****’ and so on, but it was a pain when she sat on my right side, because then i couldn’t use my right arm.
she wrote the whole prologue to les miserables on my arm.
peoples kept saying ‘have you no paper?’ which was annoying.
now peoples write on my shoe.
all great truths are written on the bottom of my shoe.
like the fact that libby is the ruler of poland.
um, where was i?
oh yes.
once, when we had a sub in science this girl sat in the sink and turned the water on.
there were three people named alex in that class.
one of them gets muse
in sixth grade, there were two andrew l’s.
and an andrew j
and two daniels
no, that was fifth grade.
in my girl scout troop there were 3 christines and a christina.
2 of them were christine marie h.
i win the MuseBlog Going Wildly Off Topic Award.
someone guess on my songs!
E~A,
Well, I recognized one from “The Fellowship of the Ring,” one from “Les Miserables,” and two from “Pippin.” I couldn’t place the first one in English or either of the Spanish songs.
Is there a Spanish song that does not contain the word “corazon”? If so, I’ve never heard it.
Now here’s a song everybody knows I’d like you to sing along!
buhduhduh
This is the song that never ends, cus it goes on and on my friends some people started singing it not knowing what it was and they’ll continue singing it forever just because
Faster now!
thisishtesongthatneverendscuzitgoesonandonmyfriendssomepeopelstartedsinginitnotknowinwhatitwasandthey’llcontinuesinginitforeverjustbecausethisisthesongthatneverendscuzitgoesonandonmyfriendssomepeoplestartedsinginitnotknowinwhatitwasandthey’llcontinuesinginitforeverjustbecause!
Don’t hate me.
I was just scared by a boxelder buggie
*gasp* that was that lamb show wasn’t it?
i used to LOVE that show!!!
What show?
the first one in English is “sunrise, sunset” from Fiddler on the Roof. The ones in Spanish are “color esperanza” and “Fé”
can you hear the people sing?
singing the song of angry men
it is the music of the people who won’t be slaves again
when the beating of your heart
matches the beating of the drums
there is a life about to start
when tomorrow comes!
no… not that show… i dont even know what that show is… i sometimes remember seeing it, and lie awake at night wondering what it was, or if it was anything at all, or just a product of my deranged imagination, like so many other things.
hello. post people post!!!!!!!!!!!!! ya know we really need a new one of these…
THIS IS A SONG I WROTE MYSELF!
NOTE: IT WAS INSPIRED BY A QUOTE FROM KOKO AND CRAWW IN AN OLD MUSE MAGAZINE.
KOKO: “I’M GONNA BE BIGGER THEN THE BEATLES WHEN MY NEW SONG COMES OUT.”
CRAWW: “WHAT’S IT CALLED? I WANNA HOLD YOUR ATTENTION?”
I NAMED THE SONG ‘I WANNA HOLD YOUR ATTENTION.’
IT’S A LOVE SONG, SO I DON’T THINK KOKO WOULD LIKE IT.
SO HERE IT IS:
VERSE #1:
I wanna hold your attention/ you look so good/ I wanna hold your attention/ you look so cool/ I wanna hold your attention/ you really are hot/ I wanna grab your attention/ and hold it on the spot/
VERSE # 2:
The first time I saw you/ walking down the street/ I knew/ you were the one for me/ I wanna grab your attention/ and hold it right there/ while the traffic/ and lights around us flare/
CHORUS:
I wanna hold your attention/ hold your attention/ hold your attention/ a-te-te-te-te-te-tension/
VERSE # 3:
I wanna take you/ by the hand/ hold your attention while dancin to a saxaphone band/ and then we’ll walk/ smilin down the beach/ hold your attention as far as I can reach/
CHORUS
VERSE # 4:
I wanna ask you/ out to a candle-lit meal/ hold your attention as I tell you how I feel/ hold your attention/ make you look into my eyes/ as we talk and sing/ under the bright moon sky/
CHORUS 3 TIMES
REPEAT VERSE # 1
VERSE # 1/ VERSION # 2:
I wanna hold your attention/ you look, feel, and sound so good/ I wanna hold your attention/ you sound, feel, and look so cool/ I wanna hold your attention/ oh baby-you are hot/ I wanna grab your attention/ and hold it on the spot/
SO THAT’S THAT!
WHAT DO YOU THINK?
HEY, MAYBE WE COULD PLAY IT AT THE END CREDITS OF THE MUSE MOVIE!
WTF???
WHERE’S MY POST???? DOES GAPA NOT LIKE QUEEN???
At least I think I posted on this thread…
OMFG MY SMILEY FACE PEOPLE WORKED THE FIRST TIME!! W00T!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nvm. Just remembed….Posted on a differnt thread…”Poetry”..
one question haunts and hurts
too much too much to mention
was I really seeking good?
or just seeking attention?
is that all good deeds are
when looked at with an ice cold eye
if that’s all good deeds are
maybe thats the reason why
no good deed goes unpunished
Guess where that is from!
wicked!
these are the lyrics for antional brotherhood week. they’re reallyfunny, but really sad too.
One week of every year is designated national brotherhood week. this is just one of many such weeks honoring various worthy causes. one of my favorites is national make-fun-of-the-handicapped we
Ich frank fontaine and jerry lewis are in charge of as you know. during national brotherhood week various special events are arranged to drive home the message of brotherhood. this year, for exa
On the first day of the week malcolm x was killed which gives you an idea of how effective the whole thing is. I’m sure we all agree that we ought to love one another and I know there are peopl
The world that do not love their fellow human beings and I hate people like that. here’s a song about national brotherhood week.
HERE’S ANOTHER SONG I WROTE!
A LITTLE MORE LOVIN (upbeat and happy)
Verse 1
Baby if you need me
you just call me
Baby if you call me
I will answer
And baby when I answer
I’ll ask you to come over
And when you come over
We’ll dance all night together
And baby when we dance
you’ve got to hold me
And baby when you hold me
hold me tightly
Cause baby when you hold me
there’s somethin about it
that makes me forget
all the troubles
CHORUS
A little more lovin
A little less descruction
A little more doin
And a lot less dreamin
A little more dreamin
but only for good reason
A little more carin
And more feelin
VERSE 2
Baby when you want me
just ask for me
And when you ask for me
ask with all your heart
Cause baby I want you
And you know you want me
We want each other
We’re perfect lovers
REPEAT CHORUS
VERSE 3
You’re a beautiful person
You’re my little lovin
You’re the sunlight through the rainstorm
You’re the first light in the morn
REPEAT CHORUS TWICE
The end.
I have one other, which I’ll post next.
HERE’S MY LAST SONG FOR NOW:
WOULD YOU TAKE A MOMENT?
(upbeat or gentle- doesn’t matter which)
VERSE 1
Would you reserve a split second
and take a seat down next to me?
Cause I have a faithful attraction to you
You just fill me heart with glee
Let’s get up on the disco floor
and show them how we move it
show them how we groove it
show them how you move me all around
CHORUS
Would you take a moment
and think about this?
Cause I really love you
and I think that we should dance
Let’s show them how we move it
show them how we groove it
show them how you move me all around
Yeah all around
VERSE 2
There’s not a soul
on this sphere
who activates me more then yo–u
Every time you come around around
I’m struck dumb without a clue
REPEAT CHORUS
VERSE 3
Move me
to the music baby
Groove me
to the lovin baby
Love me
while the music plays all night
REPEAT VERSE 3 WITH MILD HAND CLAPPING
REPEAT AGAIN WITH HEAVY HAND CLAPPING
HUM CHORUS
CHORUS #2
Cause I really love you
And I really need you
And I really think that we should
dance the night away
Let’s show them how we move it
show them how we groove it
show them how you move me all around
VERSE 4
You just move me, move me, move me
Move me, move me, move me
Move me, move me, move me all around
Yeah all around
All arou–nd
Yeah all arou-ou-ou-ou-ou-ou-ound
REPEAT VERSE 2
FINAL VERSE (gentlly)
Would you take a moment?
Come sit down next to me
Would you take a moment?
Wrap your arms around me
Would you take a moment?
Glide your lips across mine
Cause you know when you do that baby
Everything feels so fine
DRUM ROLL
CHORUS #2 (very loud- twice)
The end.
Hope you like my songs.
Here’s onw I made up off the top of my head.
Nobody knows
where everyone goes
At the time of day
Away, away.
They all walk
towards the forest
And all submit
to mysterious forces.
Nobody knows
where everyone goes.
At the time of day.
Away, away.
The look in their eyes
is not one of hope.
They are not there anymore
but cannot cope
with light.
Nobody knows
where everyone goes
At the time of day.
Away, away.
People are drawn
to a large portal
And away they go
Never again mortal.
I got the idea from this song from the movie The TIme Machine.
Cedar- Those are sweet.
kiki- good! It’s kinda mysterious feeling.
Thank you Skipper.
I like to think up movie ideas in my spare time, and I’ll probably use both of those songs in one of my movies.
Not sure which one yet.
I also wrote a song for the Muse movie’s end credits.
You can read it at post 140 in this thread.
If you have any comments on the song, or would like to write you r own finale song for the movie, please go to the
‘Muse Movie?’ thread.
Don’t post your opinions on that song here please.
Thank you.
OK, because it seems a crime against humanity to NOT post this for THIS long (WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE??), I will be the first to pioneer a certain soemthing “and I will call it ‘Bohemian Rhapsody'” (- Freddie Mercury).
“Bohemian Rhapsody” by Freddie Mercury (1946 – 1991) of Queen (1971 – 1991) from the A Night At the Opera album (1975).
(A Capella)
Is this the real life, is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide, no escape from reality.
Open your eyes, look up to the skies and see…
I’m just a poor boy, I need no sympathy.
Because I’m easy come, easy go,
Little high, little low.
Any way the wind blows
Doesn’t really matter to me, to me…
(Piano accompinament)
Momma just killed a man.
Put a gun against his head,
Pulled my trigger, now he’s dead.
Momma, life had just begun,
But now I’ve gone and thrown it all away.
Momma, ooo, didn’t mean to make you cry,
If I’m not back again this time tomorrow,
Carry on, carry on, as if nothing really matters…
Too late, my time has come.
Send shivers down my spine,
Body’s aching all the time.
Good-bye, everybody, I’ve got to go.
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth.
Momma, ooo, I don’t wanna die,
Sometimes wish I’d never been born at all…
(Operatic)
I see a little silhouetto of a man.
Scaramouche, Scaramouche,
Will you do the Fandango?
Thunderbolt and lightening, very very frightening me!
Galileo! Galileo! Galileo! Galileo! Galileo figaro!
Magnifico!…
I’m just a poor boy, nobody loves me.
He’s just a poor boy from a poor family,
Spare him his life from this monstrosity!
Easy come, easy go, will you let me go?
Bismillah! No! We will not let you go! Let him go!
Bismillah! We will not let you go! Let him go!
Bismillah! We will not let you go! Let me go!
Will not let you go!
Let me go!
Will not let you go!
Let me go!
No, no, no, no, no, no, no!
Oh Momma Mia, Momma Mia,
Momma Mia let me go!
Beezlebub has a devil put aside for me, for me,
For me!
(Rock)
So you think you can stone me
And spit in my eye?
So you think you can love me
And leave me to die?
Oh baby, can’t do this to me baby.
Just gotta get out,
Just gotta get right outta here…
(Piano accompinament)
Nothing really matters,
Anyone can see.
Nothing really matters
Nothing really matters to me…
Any way the wind blows…
There you go. wasn’t too painfull, now, was it? Brace yourselves, now! I’ve got nothing better to do for the next three months so be prepared for a LOT of Queen (provided GAPA will tolerate it fot that long!).
Beatles’ Elanor Rigby rocks…
forgive my complete lack of caps.
elanor rigby
picks up the rice
in a church where a wedding has been
(doondoodoon)
as if in a dream
waits at the window, wearing the face
that she keeps
in a jar by the door
(doo-DOON-doo)
who is it for?
I love The Beatles as much as anyone (LOVELY IDEA FOR A THREAD, WOULDN’T YOU AGREE, DEARS??) thus I will post a few of their legendary (and some not as legendary) numbers.
“I Am the Walrus” by John Lennon (1940 – 1980) (although credited as a Lennon/McCartney song) of The Beatles (1962 – 1970 approx.) from the album Magical Mystery Tour (1967).
I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together
See how they run like pigs from a gun see how they fly
I’m crying
Sitting on a cornflake
Waiting for the van to come
Corporation tee-shirt stupid bloody Tuesday
Man you’ve been a naughty boy, you let your face grow long
(Chorous)
I am the Eggman…
They are the Eggmen…
I am the Walrus!
Googoogjoob!
Mr. City, policeman sitting, pretty little policemen in a row
See how they fly like Lucy in the Sky see how they run
I’m crying
I’m crying
I’m crying
I’m crying
Yellow matter custard
Dripping from a dead dog’s eye
Crabalocker fishwife pornographic preistess
Boy you’ve been a naughty girl you’ve let your knickers down
(Chorous)
I am the Eggman…
They are the Eggmen…
I am the Walrus!
Googoogjoob!
Sitting in an English garden waiting for the sun
If the sun don’t come you get a tan from standing in the English rain
(Chorous)
I am the Eggman…
They are the Eggmen…
I am the Walrus!
Googoogjoob googoogjoob!
Expert textpert choking smokers don’t you think the joker laughs at you?
See how they smile like pigs in a sty see how they snied.
I’m crying.
Semolina pilchard
Climbing up the Eiffel Tower
Elementary penguins singing Hare Krishna
Man you should’ve seen them kicking Edgar Allen Poe
(Chorous)
I am the Eggman…
They are the Eggmen…
I am the Walrus!
Googoogjoob googoogjoob!
Googoogjoob googoogjoob!
Googoogjoob gjoo!,,,,
FEEL THE WRATH OF THE WALRUS!!
For I am the Walrus!!
(“No you’re not!” says Little Nicola)
Okay, because I’m listerning to this right now and I LOVE IT SO and I need to look up the lyircs anyway because most of them are French; I give you “Seaside Rendezvous”.
“Seaside Rendezvous” by Freddie Mercury (1946 – 1991) of Queen (1971 – 1991) from the A Night At the Opera album (1975).
Seaside…
Whenever you stroll along with me
I’m merely contemplating what you feel inside
Meanwhile…
I ask you to be my Clementine
You say you will if you could but you can’t
I love you madly
Let my imagination run away
Very gladly
A brand new angle
Highly commendable
Seaside rendezvous!
I feel so romantic…
Can we do it again?
Can we do it again sometime?
Fantastic…
C’est la vie masdames et messieurs
And at the peak of the season
In the Mediterranian
It’s so fashionable.
*Vocal gymnastics provided by Freddie Mercury and Roger Taylor, vocally impersonating tubas, flutes, kazoos, etc. No synthesisers!!*
I feel like dancing…
In the rain.
Can I have a volunteer?
(Just keep right on dancing!)
What a damn jolly good idea!
It’s such a jollification
As a matter of fact.
So tres charmant, my dear.
Underneath the moonlight…
Together we’ll sail across the sea!
Reminicing every night.
Meantime…
I ask you to be my Valentine.
You say you have to tell your daddy of you can.
I’ll be your Valentino!
We’ll ride upon the omnibus and then the casino.
Get a new facial
Start a sensation!
Seaside rendezvous – So adorable!
Seaside rendezvous – Ooo!
Seaside rendezvous – Give us a kiss!
HOORAH!! one of my favourite songs on ANATO….Music’s got a bit of a Gershwin feel. Of course, “’39” and “Death On Two Legs” are both great rockin’ songs, too (well, not quite ROCKN’, but you know). You might be seeing “’39” sometime soon, as I don’t know if “Death On Two Legs” would pass…
Whoops. Sorry #84….*face flushes a deep luxery-wine red*. But still! It shouldn’t have taken that long!
Bo Rhap is quite possibly the GREATEST SONG ON EARTH!!
155- Bo Rhap? Cool!! Make it so it’s about Bo and we could put it in the Muse Movie!!
Or a special soundtrack for the movie.
You know how they make ‘songs inspired by the movie’ albums.
I mean it’s just to make money of course, but it might be fun.
Has anyone here watched the movie ‘Highlander- Endgame.’
It’s pretty good. They could’ve done better, but it was okay.
It’s rated R though, so I don’t know how many of you will have seen it.
Here’s a song from it:
Bonnie Portmore (gently)
Verse 1:
Oh bonnie Portmore
I am sorry to see
Such a woeful destruction
of your ornament tree.
For it stood on your shore
for manys the long day
till the long boats from Antrim
came to float it away.
Verse 2:
Oh bonnie Portmore
you shine where you stand.
And the more I think on you
the more I think on.
If I had you now
As I had
once before
all the lords in old England
would not purchase Portmore.
Verse 3:
All the birs in the forest
they bitterly weep.
Saying “Where shall we shelter?
Where shall
we sleep?”
For the oak and the ash
they
are all cutting down.
ANd the walls
of
bonnie Portmore
are all down to the ground.
Repeat verse 2.
Done.
They song also plays in some episodes of the Highlander TV show, starting from season three.
#158- I’ve HEARD of the film Highlander, only because the Queen album A Kind of Magic is most of the music from it, but not sure of that’s what you’re talking about.
#156- We should all get on that, re-creating the most popular on Earth so it fits to describe and honour the greatest factoid guru on Earth….(*THREAD IDEA*)
FIRST VERSE (A CAPELLA)
“Is this a true fact?
Is this the fake one?
Staring into space,
No thoughts of arithmatic…”
Correction: YOU all can get on that, because I evidentally SUCK at writing parodies, especially on the spot.
I got Fanclub Asian Kung Fu Generation’s newest cd. ♥ Much love. This song is from Sol-fa , though. Available through Tofu Records! -plug- I think it’s a good end of the year song…at lest for me. -sigh- -_-;;
Last Scene (translation)
The rain disappeared from the beautiful blue sky
And the end has paid us it’s visit
Tracks were in the ground along the blooming flowers
Tears fell down along my cheek
Ah…
Somehow
In the signals that you put out
Slipping out of the night, if only something would change
Ah…
Somehow
The broken phone receiver and the conversation that isn’t going anywhere
However far we run, I wonder if
Our weak feelings and occupied bent forms in an important place
Will be white?
Softly cover your eyes
There’s a wonderland that you should take refuge in
Far away, a circuit breaker interrupted by a sound
It resounds “goodbye”
Softly cover your eyes
There’s a wonderland that you should take refuge in
Lost feelings spread out and burst open
Goodbye
The sky is so clear that it melts
It’s hard to convey the beaity of this song unless you’re listening to it in Japanese. Goto has such a pretty voice. xD When I hear the first line ( aoi kirei na sora kara) I get CHILLS. It’s so GOOD.
# 159.
There is more then one Highlander movie.
There is also a TV show.
MOVIES:
Highlander- There Can be Only One
Highlander 2- The Quickening
Highlander 3- The Sorcerrer
Then they made the Highlander Tv show
The most recent Highlander movie, was:
Highlander- Endgame
Which is what I was talking about.
I haven’t seen the original Highlander yet, but I love the series, and think Endgame is pretty good.
It’s rated R, and a little gory, but you have to be okay with gore, if your favorite TV show is Law and Order- Special Victims Unit.
Keep singing.
PS: Highlander Tv is okay for anyone 14 and up.
Highlander- Endgame is okay for 16 and up
I don’t know about the other movies.
152: i love that song! and the beatles in general…
A. I’m goin’ down to cow town,
The cows are friends to me,
way beneath the ocean,
that’s where I will be…
B. I’m your only friend,
I’m not your only friend,
But I’m your litte glowing friend,
but really I’m not actually your friend…
Hint:
They’re both from the same band.
151- It was posted earlier.
163- A is Cowtown by They Might Be Giants, B is Birdhouse In Your Soul by They Might Be Giants
here are more for guessing!
1) When you’re following an angel
doesn’t mean you have to throw your body off a building
Somewhere they’re meeting on a pinhead
calling you an angel calling you the nicest things
2) In the rain the pavement shines like silver
All the lights are misty in the river
In the darkness, the trees are full of starlight
And all I see is him and me for ever and forever
3) Ev’ry so often we long to steal
To the land of what-might-have-been
But that doesn’t soften the ache we feel
When reality sets back in
4) I want to raise my freak flag
Higher and higher and
I want to raise my freak flag
And never be alone
Never be alone
Have fun!
I LOVE the Shins new music, especially Phantom Limb!
Frozen into coats,
White girls of the North,
Fire past one, Fire the one,
they are the fabled lambs,
A sunday ham,
The Ancient snow,
And they can float above the grass,
In circles if they tried,
A latent power I know they hide,
To keep some hope alive,
That a girl like I could ever try,
Could ever try,
So we just skirt the hallway signs
A phantom and a fly,
Follow the lines and wonder why,
There’s no connection.
And weakened falling eyes,
In cheap shots from the tribe,
And we’re often in Marcus’ porch agian,
Another afternoon with gold head tunes,
And pilfered booze.
We wandered through your mama’s house,
And the milk from the window lights,
Family portrait circa ninety-five,
This is that foreign land,
With the sprayed on tans,
And it all lfeels fine,
Beat it circa slime,
***So, when they tap our mundane heads,
To zombie-walk in our stead,
This town seems hardly worth our time,
And we’ll no longer memorize or rhyme,
To fall along in our crime,
Stepping over what now towers to the sky,
With no connection
ooh waaaa ooohhh waaaaa ohhhhh……
repeat ***
ooh waaaa ooohh waaaaaa ooohhhhh…
I know these lyrics sould really weird, but they’re actually fantastic, think The Beatles with edge! They’re great, if you haven’t heard this song go hear it!
