DLoD, A-C is short for our long-lost pal, Anonymous Coward.
Linguistic observation: Muser-age people say “anyways.” Muse columnist-age people say “anyway.” To us, saying “anyways” sounds like saying “anywheres” (as in “I haven’t seen A-C anywheres”). Not judging–just noting how the language is changing.
Anyways is more satisfying. I like saying:
“Anyways,”
“Though I digress.”
“Zarquon! zarking”
“Put your analyst on danger money, baby!”
and also
“an emu on acid.”
Language changes itself like Madonna.
