By the way, the other day I went to a grocery store, and as Easter is getting Nearâ„¢, they had lots of bunny stuff. Including Pez dispensers, which as far as I can guess are little tubes to hold Pez brand candy, with lids shaped like heads, not unlike the picture this thread is about.
Anywho, some of the Easter Pez dispensers had pink bunny heads. Here’s a picture (I didn’t take this, I found it on the internet,but it’s the same product):

I would suggest that attitudes in Japan or elsewhere are too complex to be nailed into a “fact.” Their culture may contain sexist practices and traditions, but there are also feminists in Japan, the national traditions are changing, there are many other crosscurrents at play.
Broad generalizations reinforce the very sorts of stereotypes I’m sure that you, as compassionate and passionate as you are, would wish to avoid.

I think it’s ok to create magazines and other products aimed toward a certain sex, but I think the messages some mags send girls (in particular) is sexist, especially to young girls. Girly pink magazines create an image to young girls on what exactly a girl is supposed to be like, and if the girl reading the magazine isn’t exactly like all the lip gloss models in the ads, or don’t have the right clothes, they feel upset with themselves. The magazines don’t intend to make them feel bad, it’s the advertisers, trying to make them feel down in order to make them buy their products. I don’t like that, and corporate America isn’t exactly trying to stop it. (I heard a seminar on under-the-radar sexism about a year ago and I’ve been hypersensitive about these things ever since).
And I wasn’t trying to make a broad generalization, I’m just saying the Asia (some parts of it) are very sexist. India, for instance, has the highest rate of sex trafficking in young girls in the whole world. They don’t care about them; they’re just seen as money making objects. (Look up Love146.org for more info; I’ve been on fire with this charity ever since I learned about it.) And China, with their one child only policy with boys desirable, more girls are up for adoption than anywhere else. That’s where I’m coming from on the sexism in Asia.

These artificial souls are completely harmless, rest assured.
This design is called “Chappy.” It is the most popular kind, but Rukia got Ichigo the ducky one because Chappy was sold out. So the main character was not bunnfied, and I continue to enjoy Bleach to this day. *smile*
