By the way, the other day I went to a grocery store, and as Easter is getting Nearâ„¢, they had lots of bunny stuff. Including Pez dispensers, which as far as I can guess are little tubes to hold Pez brand candy, with lids shaped like heads, not unlike the picture this thread is about.
Anywho, some of the Easter Pez dispensers had pink bunny heads. Here’s a picture (I didn’t take this, I found it on the internet,but it’s the same product):

Ichigo is the main character. the main gist of the series is from what I remember various battles with spirits and so on. it has a supernatural element to it. You would think I’d know more about Bleach…sigh.

When I read your post, I read it as “for fear of waking up in a coma or underwear.” As opposed to underwater…..Dang, they still sell pez? I remember those from my childhood–we had so many different pez dispenser, it was awesome.
Hehe, as was the little battery operated lollipop twirler I managed to get my parents to buy me……don’t ask, I’m not quite sure why I was so obsessed with getting it, I mean, is it really necessary to have a machine that rotates a lollipop while you suck it??????? I still have it somewhere, I think it is shoved in a box under my at home with a bunch of other random no longer used items….
Hey, speaking of things when I was little, and pink bunnies, I have these two little bitty plastic bunnies–they are so cute. I believe I named them Pinky…..I named all my stuffed animals and such when I was little. And I actually used to remember their names….

I would suggest that attitudes in Japan or elsewhere are too complex to be nailed into a “fact.” Their culture may contain sexist practices and traditions, but there are also feminists in Japan, the national traditions are changing, there are many other crosscurrents at play.
Broad generalizations reinforce the very sorts of stereotypes I’m sure that you, as compassionate and passionate as you are, would wish to avoid.

65- That’s not what I mean at all, with targeting different sexes! I think it’s ok to create magazines and other products aimed toward a certain sex, but I think the messages some mags send girls (in particular) is sexist, especially to young girls. Girly pink magazines create an image to young girls on what exactly a girl is supposed to be like, and if the girl reading the magazine isn’t exactly like all the lip gloss models in the ads, or don’t have the right clothes, they feel upset with themselves. The magazines don’t intend to make them feel bad, it’s the advertisers, trying to make them feel down in order to make them buy their products. I don’t like that, and corporate America isn’t exactly trying to stop it. (I heard a seminar on under-the-radar sexism about a year ago and I’ve been hypersensitive about these things ever since).
And I wasn’t trying to make a broad generalization, I’m just saying the Asia (some parts of it) are very sexist. India, for instance, has the highest rate of sex trafficking in young girls in the whole world. They don’t care about them; they’re just seen as money making objects. (Look up Love146.org for more info; I’ve been on fire with this charity ever since I learned about it.) And China, with their one child only policy with boys desirable, more girls are up for adoption than anywhere else. That’s where I’m coming from on the sexism in Asia.
Meh, long post. I just get off to the races on the subject of femenism…

Then, when Easter comes and goes and nothing changes about how much I talk about HPBs, people look at me and are all “NAPOI, Easter’s over.” It’s really frustrating, because they were THERE that whole time I was completely obsessed and Easter was far, far away. People are stupid.

“Soul Candy” is used for Soul Reapers to eject their souls out of their Gigai (gee-gi) (artificial body to be used in human world when coming there to fight hollows) and replace a artificial soul in there so humans won’t come along a random body lying in the street. These artificial souls are completely harmless, rest assured.
This design is called “Chappy.” It is the most popular kind, but Rukia got Ichigo the ducky one because Chappy was sold out. So the main character was not bunnfied, and I continue to enjoy Bleach to this day. *smile*

An enormous pink bunny has been erected on an Italian mountainside where it will stay for the next 20 years.
The 200-foot-long toy rabbit lies on the side of the 5,000 foot high Colletto Fava mountain in northern Italy’s Piedmont region.
Viennese art group Gelatin designed the giant soft toy and say it was “knitted by dozens of grannies out of pink wool”.
Group member Wolfgang Gantner said: “It’s supposed to make you feel small, like Gulliver. You walk around it and you can’t help but smile.”
And Gelatin members say the bunny is not just for walking around – they are expecting hikers to climb its 20 foot sides and relax on its belly.
The giant rabbit is expected to remain on the mountain side until 2025.
