Life, the universe, pies, hot-pink bunnies, world domination, and everything
Find out what other Musers think about whatever crosses your mind.
Date: March 16, 2006
Categories: Life, The Universe, Things We like
I’ll start with a question about you: right- or left-handed?
Right, personally. Which means I’m not in my right mind.
Musers: We would never have guessed.
Me: You flatter me.
Musers: Considerably.
And now that I’ve said that, on to other matters. What is your name? What is your quest? What is your favorite color? (Not telling: Mostly Harmless; Hooloovoo for me. Respectively. Someone else can finish the MP reference. I am above such matters.)
Right. Although i occaisionally use my left hand, just for the heck of it. I don’t think i’m ambidextrous though-for one thing i wasn’t born using both hands equally and for another my handwriting is much sloppier with my right hand. But much faster.
Name: Ebeth
Quest: Choklit
Fav color: Blue
Finish MP reference: Where should i start? With launcelot, or galahad? They both get asked those same questions.
Oh well, i’ll start with launcelot.
Keeper: What is your name?
Launcelot: Sir Launcelot of Camleot!
K: What is your quest?
L: To find the Holy Grail!
K: What is your favorite color?
L: Blue
K: Right. Off you go then
L: Oh…thanks very much.
*crosses bridge*
Robin: That’s easy!!!
K: Stop! He who crosses the bridge of death must answer me these questions three, ere the other side he see.
R: Ask me the questions bridgekeeper, i’m not afraid.
K: What is your name?
R: Sir Robin of Camelot.
K: What is your quest?
R: I seek the Grail.
K: What…is the capital of Assyria?
R: I don’t know that! AAAAAH!!!!! *is thrown into gorge of eternal peril*
K: What is your name?
Galahad: Sir Galahad of Camelot
K: What is your quest
G: I seek the Holy Grail
K: What is your favorite color?
G: Blue. No, yell-AAAAAAH!!!! *is thrown into gorge*
K: What is your name?
Arthur: It is Arthur, King of the Britons!
K: What is your quest?
A: I seek the Holy Grail.
K: What…is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?
A: What do you mean? African or European swallow?
K: Huh? I don’t know that! AAAAH!!!!! *is thrown into gorge *
Bedevere: How do you know so much about swallows?
K: Well, you have to know these things when you’re a king you know.
Yes, i am procrastinating. Why do you ask?
I is a righty in school, a lefty in sports. Go me.
I can use chopsticks with my left hand, type on a Dvorak keyboard, turn a calculator to a metal detector, and slide down banisters. Oh yes, I can also read upside down and I know all the words to Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Light the Fire” and I can understand dub vocals and recite “The Jabberwocky” by Lewis Carroll, “The Walrus and the Carpenter” by the same author, and “The Raven” by Edgar Allen Poe, though the last is a little shaky. Anyone else have special talents? I know MG has tremendous oral dexterity (only phrase that comes to mind) about Starbursts, a quality which I have long admired. And emogrl, a friend of mine has that shirt.

I’ve lived in LA, San Francisco, and Canada, but LA is my favorite. Unfortunately, I live in [Name of city deleted by Administrator — Rosanne]. In the Midwest (America’s Heartland) which I have nicknamed America’s Gallbladder. I am allowed to make fun of it BECAUSE I live in it. I don’t like videogames. Age: 12

Ohhooo I read the water mirror…it was ok…
Yay Jadestone, you are correct, it is the name of a boat Arthur Ransome owned, but more importantly that boat was named after one of the main characters of the Swallows and Amazons books. Nancy Blackett, captain of The Amazon, who with her sister Peggy made the Amazon pirates. I love the Swallows and Amazons books, because they about kids making adventures for themselves. If you want a good childhood story that isnt cheesy but is clever , read the Swallows and Amazons series (there are 12 in all).
Anyway thats my little speech about those books…

I love Arthur Ransome! I can sail, too, and I’m really impressed at the level of correctness and authenticity the esoteric sailing details command in those books.

I play piano, plus violin.
i play no instrument because im just too lazy.
language english &danish interchangeably, but i read better in danish learning spanish which i dont like ut can be useful cuz about 30 percent of people where i liv speak it as a 1st language
I am semi-ambidextrous as well. I write with my left, but throw with my right, and pretty much everything else is both.
I play piano and percussion.
Oooo. Mottoes. Mine would be “______________, I shouldn’t wonder.” Pretty much anything could go into that space. Like, we’ll all break our necks, I shouldn’t wonder. That’s borrowed from Puddle Glum. One that my friend and I exchange frequently is, “It doesn’t have to be perfect!” And then these aren’t really mottoes, but my family and I use them a lot in various situations. There’s “He/she’s pretty lively.” From good old James Herriot, though Sigfreid was the one who said it. Or was it Tristian? I can’t remember. Maybe it was both. There’s also “Not too much” which comes from when we had this froody Mexican kid staying at our house. We were eating dinner and my brother needed a clean spoon for something, so he requests C****’s, asking if he licked it. C. says no and hands it to my brother. About a half-second after my brother sticks the spoon in whatever it was, C. says “Not too much.” So that’s where that came from. I like rock (punk, hard, classic, anything except screamo, where the dude isn’t even singing, he’s just making odd guteral sounds suggestive of some sort of plumbing problem.) , jazz, blues, and various other stuff which is harder to label. I play piano.
**speed
Oh yeah, and I speak English and Hebrew and understand Aramaic (duh), sort of understand German, and I am learning Arabic. Fun!
I play flute.
i play piano, flute, and a little violin. and guitar, but im not that good…
This is one of my dad’s mottos which he has passed on to me
“There are times in life when you are sure whether you’ve been complemented or insulted. When in doubt, always take it as a complement,”
Good for the self esteem… he he.
english is my first language, and i’m semi- good at french (i’m in my third year at school…) i speak a bit of spanish. instruments:flute, piano. i sail for my school but i’m not very good. #76… that’s an interesting quote. (for balance, google demotivational posters. they’re like those posters you see in school that say “always try your best” and stuff, but- oh, whatever. just google it.)
Instruments: I play cello, bassoon, and bass guitar and had to give up flute because I was so terrible at it.
Languages: I used to be bilingual because I had Chinese babysitters, but then they left and now I’m stuck with stupid English. I am, however, learning Spanish and Chinese, and plan to take Latin and Japanese as soon as I can.
Motto: “‘Pessimist’ is the optimist’s word for ‘realist.'” That’s also my sig on Phoebe’s HP board and on a bunch of other boards I don’t really play on any more.
Music: Rock, Bach, and barrel. Sorry. Couldn’t resist. I like classic rock, some metal, anything Baroque, and the occasional bit of my Celtic roots.
Do you prefer writing fiction, nonfiction, or not at all?

All of the penguins (Kororra Pingus penguini)
are right handed with a touch of left hand throughn in for good.
penguini is learning spanish and is doing very badly.
Kororra is learning to play the clarinet and the traditional native american flute. Proficint at the clarinet.
Pingus is pretending to learn how to code in python. And people say it is the easy launguage to learn!!!!?!!!!!!!!?

77 yeah I love the demotivaitonal posters… there was a thing on them In same muse issue as the controversial self esteem article, wasnt there? Maybe Im making that up. I dont remember.
79- Correct!! but also something else. see 53.
Queenie, which is your favorite AR book? Im not sure but I think it would be We Didn’t Mean to Go to Sea or Winter Holiday. Or maybe the first one, Swallows and Amazons.
Hmm maybe my next task will be to reread those…
Whats leet and how can I learn it?
what is leet anyway? ive seen it a few times
33R What2 133t? didi get it right?
There’s phan leet and there’s real leet.
As for a motto, I like the Japanese Proverb “Ura ni wa ura ga aru” which means “The reverse side also has a reverse side”. More literally”,In the hidden things are even deeper secrets.â€
If you go to wikipedia, there is an article on 1337, plus an alphabet decoder thing. Also, it gives various expressions, and grammar.
ok my LB just tried to explain leet to me, + i didnt understand it the least bit + besides i think he was wrong anyway. oh vell
The demotivational posters were in the self-esteem issue. I wrote a poem about self-esteem once. It was a parody.
rihgthanded
favorite book genre: fantasy
fav pie flavor: toomany too count! tuna, apple, pumpkin, are a few of the really good ones
does anyone get bored + come here when theyre @ the comp lab @ skool?
five more minutes until 6th hr… *starts to count down*
demotivational posters are cool, but guess what? dirt posters are awesome!
hey! stop laughing. dont make fun of me! yeah, they actually had these posters of different types of dirt @ the enviro meeting the other day. apparently there are a ton of different types of dirt. but i wanted one. + quit smirking.
99- i only am in the computer lab on day 5….its weird, because that’s not always the same weekday….i could try to get on, but i sit near the front….
I had computers before museblog.
Yeah……
I saw the thing on wikipedia. I think it’s cool that is has so many different languages.
Yeah. I have computer lab on Thursdays, and we never do anything, so I just go on MuseBlog, NationStates, and a few RPGs because the supposed “effective at blocking non-educational material” firewall lets them through. I don’t complain.
oh, you mean the block that won’t let you access games, but lets you download porn? at least that’s what the guys in my class say, as i haven’t tried the latter myself.
99: I try, but have to hide it when people come.
What RPG”s?
hehe i hav a story
my govt teacher told my class this
so, last year i believe, one of her classes was in the comp lab, and they were all supposed to go to a certain cite. she told them which cite, and the whole class went there. but-she mustve forgotten part of it b/c suddenly everyone has entered this porn cite! ha, i could just imagine her expression…it was probably priceless…
107: role-play(ing) games
91-I liked We Didn’t Mean To Go To Sea the best, though all of them are good.
l33t is a way of writing using symbols and numbers in with letters. It evolved from computer gaming and stands as an institution in the Internet.
Tomorrow I get to dissect an eye in science class. A cow eye. Do you guys like dissecting things, or am I the only one? The rest of the class is choosing the alt. option-ha ha! I would like to do a cadaver someday, but it’s far off.
Musers: You’re frankly more likely to be a cadaver.
Me: You try it and I will biff you past Alpha Centauri.
Musers: *scatter*
Once we dissected an owl pellet and then had to reconstruct the skeleton of the rodent from bone we got out of it….
Poll Questions:
What muse editions/ articles stick out most on your memory?
Which ones have your reread the most?
Which ones (dare she say it????) are your favorites? *cringes in anticipation of the pies that will be throw along with excamlations that we could never pick a favorite muse because we love them all, yeas precious*
I liked the one where Koko’s dog first showed up and also the Y2K one
(yes, I did start reading my sister’s muses when I was in kindergarten and 1st grade)
What muse editions/ articles stick out most on your memory? Napoleon, Lotr, Black death (sadly lost by lb *cries*), tower of london, Cat and dog (who can forget those?)
Which ones have your reread the most? Same. Minus cat and dog.
Which ones (dare she say it????) are your favorites? Same. Minus cat and dog.
*frantically tries to beat off hot pink bunnies*
What muse editions/ articles stick out most on your memory?
probably the ones with the letters covered in all sorts of symbols….why don’t they do that anymore? oh, and the one on goldberg.
Which ones have your reread the most?
the tombstone article!!!!!
i seriously don’t have a favourite
i miss the dog/cat (or cat/dog…i really have no preference) wars, though
I’ve been a Muser for long enough that I can remember the Cat Counter. More people requested an article on cats than the human population of the world includes. ‘Twas quite funny.
Stick out in memory- Mummy articles: Egyptian, Taklamakan, and Chinchorro. The Taklamakan mummy article was the first one I read with a Muse subscription, so I have a certain fondness for it.
There was another one, but I forgot it.
I’ve reread all of them innumerable times, and I don’t really have a favourite.
I like a lot of them. I read them at night when I’m trying to fall asleep (muses don’t make me fall asleep, by the way, but they are relaxing)
i think my first issue wat the one about the wild horses….back when the muse news page existed before bo’s page
ivbe been a muser since 2000!
party time!!!
*parties*
I dont exactly know when I became a muser. My sister always got them, since the very first issue (unfortunatley it t has been sucked into the black hole that consumes everything that I do not wish to lose). I first started looking at them when I was in second or third grade, but I didnt start reading them completely until maybe fith or sixth.
I remember the Mona Lisa article, the hoaxes article, the black holes article and the rare breeds one. Im not sure which ones are my favorites, though the Mona lisa and black hole ones are deffinatley up there. Oh, and the Animal Dads issue.
toilet issue! yeah! i think it was in 1998! yep, that was my 1st issue
(sniff) The LOTR issue was the first time i evereven set eyes on a Muse. It was my friend, who i am trying to convince to come on here but as she is grounded anew every 3 days ‘twod be impossibe. I think nmy first issue was durring the following year…
I can’t remember when I started. Jadestone and I share a subscription, though it’s technically hers. I ♥ them all!
My grandparents give my sister, brother, and I each a magazine subscription each year. I found muse at the library and LOVED it, so ever since then Ihave been checking them out of the library. Next year, I’m asking for a muse subscription!!
Motto= do what ever you think you should do.
Gives a sense of freedom.
I’ve been a Muser since my mom told me about this new magazine called Muse . . . I may still have the very first issue somewhere.
Does anyone remember that article about bacteria and how they’re all over the place? (So non-specific, I know.) What issue was it in? I’ve been wanting to wave it in my mother’s face for a while now.
~Luna
was it from the issue with the orange cover and the kid with the faucet nose?
*checks*
feb’03. how to catch a cold. page 8.
at least i hope so.
Tell me, What first comes to your mind when you think Washington? is it wooden teeth? bad hair? rain? a certain town or city? Tell all!
Random Question: Anyone else here have synesthesia? (eh, did i spell that right? it’s a silly mismash thing. rawr. x.x)
When I think of Washington, I think of my beautiful self. Teeth? My teeth are as healthy as me, which is pretty healthy. My hair, well what can I say! It’s also beautiful. And the city would bave to be, what, oh, sorry. (A man has jsut wispered something to Washington.)
Hmmm, I see. Not me, but my great ancestor. Well, then, I must say that I think of a horse, a person, and a sword. Of corse, the person is Supossed to be G.W., but His face is always blank when I picture him. I just pictuer a blank faced gentleman, sitting on a horse, with a sword on his hip. I can’t see his teath. He’s not smilling. Oh, Well. I guess it’s better to see one of our founding fathers in good shape.
What synethesia, koko
Washington? I see a sort of dark grey colour. Synesthesia at work again…
I see the town that’s wrapped around my office.
I see larry g’s pic of them crossing the delaware. Washington has the funniest look on his face…haha
Ok seriously, i see funny wigs and bad jokes about teeth.
If i had synesthesia i’d probably see some kind of reddish-blue if that makes any sense. Is there such a color? Oh vell…you can tell i don’t have synesthesia, can’t you? Darn. My evil plot is spoiled.
I see the picture of him that is on the dollar bill
the moon…
Synesthesia would be cool to have. I can only imagine colors when i think of stuff, not see them. To me, the word Muse is like a shiny silvery color that changes when you move. It’s got lots of violet in it. And my name is purple-blue. But maybe that’s just because I like the color purple-blue.
Mutt, did you write to Muse?
No, though i did see that letter.
Aah. Do you easily remember things like that town that the person who wrote in wrote about?
Happy day…….

\_/
that is supposed to be a smile……….
creepy smile.
Ive been looking for the Muse issue with the article on mideaval (i will never be able to spell that word) war machines, with the trebuchets and everyting. Does anyone remember which one it was?
No. Not at all. But i remember getting the issue…As i apear to have said nthing withwhile yet, ill hurry up and do so least the dont post this. Hmmmm…….3ric(Eric) anoys me greatly.
Skipper Nancy Blackett (#144), I think that article on medieval (I think that’s spelled right) war machines was in the April 2005 issue. If it’s the same one that talked about Greek Fire, and I think it is, then that’s the one it’s in.
hola!
Ok.
teach us a spell. PWEEAAASSSEEEE
SNB (144),
There’s a list of back-issue contents on the Fan Page. (That reminds me: I need to update it. It stops at October 2005.)
147- ah, the “if it harm none, do what you will” (or something of the like) clause. beautiful.
Heh Hemm. Well, can you teach us a spell. I really need it soon, cause my computers accting up.
It’s okay if it’s secret or something, or you need to say something that you can’t type on the computor, or your thinking “HEY, STOP BUGGING ME, YOU STUPID KING, I’M NOT GOING TO TELL YOU, SO GO AWAY, I’M TRYING TO SLEEP,” I totally understand.
Yeah, I read a book about wicca
We’re talking abotu the salem witch trials in LA,
I know it is completely different,
I’m reading a book about that. It’s called A Break With Charity, A Story About the Salem Witch Trials. It’s pretty good, though sad.
hola ppls. como estan? yo quiero dormir. yes, im relly tired. but todays the first entire day of break here, so thats exciting. more time to sleep…
#151: yeah, thats the wiccan rede; kind of the golden rule of magic. i just like it b/c its short + easy to remember; i can quote it whenever someones asking me to teach them a “hex” or something.
magic is relly nothing glamorous. i have some spells for things such as excorcisms, healings, and a lot of love stuff. by love stuff, i mean spells that are supposed to make the spellcaster themself more open to love. for example, if you move to a new skool, and youre having trouble making friends, a spell that makes you more open to love might help. oh, + if you doubt that a spell will work, it probably wont.
if a certain room or object in your house makes you feel depressed, you might want to try an excorcism. if youre sick, you could try a healing spell. you can also do spells for other ppl, but you absolutely hav to have their permission, and of course they should be ppl you trust. in the few spells ive tried, ive had a few success stories, + only one total failure. i want to specialize in healing (spiritual healing included) spells. well, my 2 favourite elements are earth + spirit, so that might hav influenced this.
most spells include making a special incense (out of household kitchen spices usually), or making a mixture of scented oils. i like using scented oils just b/c they smell relly good + you can wear them instead of buying perfume.
yeah. thats magic in a nutshell. your parents will be thanking me so much now for corrupting you w/ all this pagan stuff. just remember, im not trying to convert anyone
And now… lets take another gender poll, in case it changed since the 200 newbies arrived! Are you a boy, a girl, or a Gethenian? And if you are not sure what a Gethenian is, read The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin.
We’re reading a book called “Beyond the Burning Time” It’s really good so far (about the Salem Witch Trials)
okay, im going to randomly answer the monty pi poll.
Keeper: What is your name?
Em: Em, the Hot Pink Bunnie! Wheeeee!
K: What is your quest?
Em: To… do my English homework!
K: What is your favorite color?
Em: Octarine!
K: Right. Off you go then
Em: Oh…thanks very much.
*crosses bridge*
I’m a girl. As to that video game question that was a long time ago which I can’t even remember what exactly it was: I’m a total gamer. Mario games are, of course, classics. Zelda is the greatest, except for those weird cell-shaded ones. The plot was alright, but it was too cartoony and Link looked like he was five or something. Smash Bros. is the best fighting game ever. Period. Although I’ve never tried Soul Caliber. How’s that?
I’m, as my name probably implies, a king, not a queen. Does that answer that poll? (156)
good job not being thrown into the gorge of eternal peril!
and i’m a girl.
girl. (my name, is kitty, after all…)
our boy count must be at at least 20… whoa, scary!
Which subject do you prefer: Chem or History?
I’m a girl too.
Do you mean Science and History? Chem is much more specific than History. It’s like saying, which do you prefer, cookies or Rocky Road Ice Cream?
Ok, Fine. Chem or Lewis and Clark?
Okay. MAybe I’m scaring people a bit with the Lewis and Clark thingie.
chem. yay.
what do you prefer: polka or rap?
i think i’d rather endure polka.
lesser of the two evils.
chem, but only b/c i find american history boring for the most part.
science pwns
I think American history is interesting, but i’d still prefer chem. Polka or rap?! Ew. I don’t know if I coiuld survive either one, but I suppose I’d choose polka. Would you rather be stuck in a small room with a slobbery-kiss aunt who’s always asking you how old you are and then forgetting, or a bear?
bear. but could it be a bear who thought that (s)he was a hpb? i would die on the spot if someone slobbery-kissed me!
go weird Al!
(Weird Al Yankovic)
i like the ebay song.

Emmorgrl, what is wiccann reliion
I lived in Jurusalum, Isreal for a year when i was three. I can’t even remember most of it. I can speak five wordsin hebrew.
what’s the llama song
You know, it seems like everyone is doing something about the salem wtch trials
And despite the impression you might get from all the witchy-oriented tourist shops in modern Salem, there were no witches there. And nobody was burned (they were hanged or suffocated under boards loaded with stones). A very strange episode in American history.
One of my favorite folk singers, Bob Franke, wrote a chilling song based on the idea that the Salem trials were all a power trip by a few young teenage girls. One of the verses goes like this: It’s long, but I like it so much that I’m going to post the whole thing here.
I know it is a wicked thing in such a fashion for to sing
With no regard for God or king, and I but a little girl
But evil shapes do bid my tongue, great judges and divines among,
To say things strange to one so young, and I but a little girl.
My friends and I thought little harm to go to Reverend Parris’ farm
Our secret fortunes for to charm, such sport for a little girl
But Betty’s eyes did roll about, and Abigail began to shout
And so the devil found us out, and shapes began to swirl.
Unholy shapes of girls and men, and women to our torment then
Pronounced us damned and damned again, we being but little girls
What recourse had we but to cry, and name each shape as it flew by
To hold us in its evil eye, we being but little girls.
And so we cried and cried aloud, the names of mighty men and proud
And haughty women in a crowd, we being but little girls
And mothers, fathers, children dear, did crowd around those names to hear
And how the crowd began to fear the namings of little girls.
And learned men from near and far did drag their prisoners to the bar
Examined for the witch’s scar, and the curse of little girls
And witch and wizard once confessed cried out their comrades all unblessed
And all the world brought to the test at the word of little girls.
And you, thought safe within your bed, who send your shape about my head
Tomorrow you shall lie in dread of the hearts of little girls
And the justice of the holy court will show its terror of our sport
And the powers of this world resort to the whims of little girls.
For the evil that attacks my heart in pride of power got its start
You lie, who say you have no part in the sins of little girls
The prisons full, the gallows’ moan, the old man crushed beneath the stones
Are not a work of mine alone–for I’m but a little girl.

I didn’t know Jadestone’s a girl!!!! Whoa, that changes everything
Actually, I don’t know if it was known that there weren’t witches
one theory is that it was caused by a something called ergot which is some sort of hallucinogenic or something. It was some sort of fungus that grew on wheat. Maybe Tituba gave it to them? At least Ann Putnam and all those other girls, which started the hysteria
Dragon’s Eye: You mean agnostic? That would be when you are undecided. DLoD can probably explain in more detail, though. The llama song is a (you guessed it) song about llamas which is found on albino black sheep dot com. (Not a link! See?) Said song is sung in a beyond-falsetto voice and plays on a loop, so it gets annoying very fast. Watch at your own risk. I’m not doing anything about the Salem witch trials.
i had to read an essay on the trials for history (an assignment i actually liked). it explained how the affected girls were probably having hysterical seizures due to the social pressures present in their unconcious mind….i’ll have to find the book…but anyway, it said that when the stress was too great, the subconcious mind would take over. these seizures were supposed to cause other seizures, explaining the great number of “victims.” also, the inhabitants of salem village more often than not accused inhabitants of salem town. it was fascinating. i’ll have to re-read it and post more….
the title of the essay was “the visible and invisible worlds of salem” but i cannot remember the author(s)
186- wasn’t a man by the name of giles corey the only one pressed? because he wouldn’t deny witchcraft or admit to it?
agnosticism is basically the belief that one cannot know whether or not a supreme being actually exists. it seems to most fit my beliefs. though i do believe that there is definately some sort of higher power it would probably be scientifically impossible to prove. what can i say, i like proof. (maybe it’s wormhole beings, like the bejoran prophets) or maybe science just hasn’t gotten that far yet. actually i adhere to parts all sorts of belief systems. but moral disputes seem to be a major cause of war (that, and power/greed.)…and therein lies the problem with faith. and of course, the lack thereof. i ♥ paradoxes. wow. major philosophical rant. shutting up.
my sister thinks she’s wiccan. not in the true sense, but for shock value. i was reading about it in fifth grade (2000-2001) before it became trendy in todays omg-i-am-lyk-so-totally-gawth culture. true wiccans=wicked awesome. wannabewitcheswhodoitforpoofyeffectsandshockvalue=unrad times a million. i think there’s something about it in either this thread or the Things We Like and Don’t Like thread.
by the way, please don’t take any of what i say..ahem…type as a personal insult. it’s not. i like all of you.
i dont associate w/ the other wiccans @ my skool, b/c it seems like their in it just to be “bad”. there are so many ppl that give the religion a bad name. + whats relly annoying is that whenever someone learns about my religion, they assume im one of those ppl. mrahr to that.
oh, i know! those stupid little groupies who are too loud about whatever they “are” (for the lack of a more fitting term) who ruin everyone else’s reputation. aargh.
Yeah, there was only one person who was pressed to death in Salem, but it was done elsewhere also.
Alright, since this is a hpb free zone: Cats or Dogs?
I personally am found of cats (as you can see in the poem thread)
cats. they sleep and have their own toilet facility. huzzah. they are also smarter, because they don’t chase after their own tails. at least not that i’ve seen/heard of.
dogs drool, make messes everywhere, and smell funny. and are waaaaay too hyperactive. until they get arthritic. *gets attacked by doglovers*
cats. sorry, im a cat person. but i do like dogs, really, i do.
I like dogs, but they are a lot of work. We used to have one.
We now have 2 cats and they are great. Yes, they have their own toilet facility, groom themselves, etc. They also are smaller (usually)
dogs and cats. im more partial to dogs, but they are a lot of work. we dont have any pets because our family is like an allergy bombing ground. so no pets for me…
198: Mine too. But not me. Mom and Jadestone are allergic to cats, Jadestone and Dad to dander, pollen, ect.
There are no wannabe wiccans at my school. The people at my school are too generally stupid and ignorant to be.
There were no real witches. Just the girls. In A Break With Charity they told on “witches” for entertainment and power. It was really scary, how people could turn on their neighbors just because a mean little 12-year-old said they were a witch.
If i had any specific religion, it would be Universal Unitarianism. They believe that someone, as long as they are kind and compassionate and forgiving, is a good person. They aren’t persecutive against homo-and bi-sexuals, and you can be of any real religion and be a part of them. Or, as a friend of Jadestone so quaintly put it When you die, you’ll deal with it then.
i like that phrase.
as patricia cornwell wrote in her book, post mortem, (well it went something like, i can’t find the book, so i’m paraphrasing): we’re al going to die. so we die healthy. big deal.
Wealth or Power?
Boxers or Briefs?
Neither.
Both. At the same time.
199 i’m alleric to cats but not to dogs. my sisters allergic to horses. my mom and dad are allergic to dogs, cats and dust… and everything else. almost.
ack! what about knowledge? power, i guess.
um….i’m not a guy; so, i suppose i wear briefs? sort-of, anyway. if i submitted my preference for on guys, it might be zapped.
new poll:
if you were stranded on a desert island, what THREE items would you bring? (supposing that you were planning to be stranded there and had packed for that occasion. or maybe you’re always ready for that to happen.)
3 items id want if ever stranded on a desert island:
1. my cd player
2. my cd case (w/ all my cds in it of course)
3. a box of extra batteries
water + food would probably be my next priorities…
If I were stranded on a desert island, I’d want a radio thing to contact people, or an airplane so I wouldn’t be stranded anymore
I’m doing a poll of people’s favorite muses, 2nd favorites too. I’m wondering if the mail page shows a good representation.
Yay! Randomness! Guinea pics rule all!!!
Anyway, I was looking for googlewhacks and found something really wierd in the results for sulfanilamide and kokopelli. Yhought you might want to look.
sry, didn’t mean to post #208
If I were stranded on a desert island I would want
1) water
2) a radio
3) a light
I like cats and dogs. I have a dog, but I like cats too. it really depends on the personality of the animal for me.
Yikes I havent checked this thread in ages…
Wealth, I guess because hopefully I would put it to good cause. Honestly I agree with Robert… neither.
On books: Sci- fi or classics? Obviously there are a lot of other choices, but specifically which one of those do you prefer?
et? i like latin.
i really cannot chose between sci-fi and classics…BOTHE!
Do you like spanish?
I like the language [Spanish], but I hate my Spanish class.
213- i do concur!
What I was trying to point out was that I had changed the “et” in my name to “y” because “y” is spanish. But maybe you got that.
I agree with 213+214, though.
Why does the Recent Posts column on this page show more recent posts than the one on the main page? I find that really weird.
i thought the recent posts column was only on these pages. the main one has recent comments…..
i’m confused.
quite confused indeed.
I didn’t notice…oh well!
