It will take some doing after the latest Pie War. Whew, what a doozy! Such a sad waste of carbohydrates. The calorie count alone was staggering. Now, a new chapter begins…

You know, though, I believe that that last Pie War was good for the Museblog. It gave us a chance to unleash all our pent up wild-pie throwing urges, and now look at the great Civilization that is growing up in it’s wake.

Here’s my suggestions for our civilization:
I think we shouldn’t divide the two hemispheres too severly. It shouldn’t be like “only the pwls/pdls are allowed here and only the Jadestones/ Ops are allowed here”. Let’s keep it an open border, cool?
Also, I suggested the name Museica, but that’s not final. Other ideas are welcome,
kiki, where are these cities (that you created on the Pie War thread) located? You can make up new ares, no the just the ones that have already been named.

Howabout we don’t divide it up into countries, but have the whole Blog live together in peace and harmony? We can have Muse Schools all over the place, I’m talking every fifty miles or so here, and that means kidnergarten through high school. College is a special Muse School in Iceland where Bobby is the leader. In fact, we should make him the Superintendent of the School district, which is the whole world.
Also, the major sport in school and the biggest professionial sport elsewhere should be Pie War. You know, you have teams from each individual school who War each other and all that. It would be the best way to keep out pie-war-needs covered without having to have an actual war. Sound good?

Ah…. We are hanging up our war stripes for a while. Let there be peace, and let it flourish and grow into the beautiful flower it was meant to be. And then let it be picked by a cold, industrialized hand to be squeezed into a perfume bottle with its bretheren when we start the war up again. Now, if we are to build Museica, we must know where cities are and what their names are. This would be so much easier if we could submit visuals! Well, here are my ideas.
To the North, there are the Snocreme Mountains. There are many small villages nestled in the foothills, which have very fertile soil. A few medium sized towns are in the valleys within the mountains. At the peaks, there are scores of the best cocoa plants in the world, and many hot springs are scattered throughout the range. This makes the Snocreme Mountains the number one producer of hot fudge in the world. They also get a lot of spa and sauna business. To the north of the mountains are the taigas, with majestic lakes and forests, and then the frozen tundras.

If I’m in charge of any aspect of the Muse Academy, I think I’ll require that students learn calligraphy and that all papers be written by hand with quill pens. That will keep them short and concise and will minimize cut-and-paste “research.” Extra credit for flourishes and illumination.

The Cinnamon Groves begin at the foot of the Snocreme Mts. Flowing down from the hills is the Greater Meringue River, which feeds the Lesser Meringue River and then empties into the Filling Sea(western border of Museica). The Lesser Meringue flows through the Crusty Plains(to the east of the Cinnamon Groves), home to innumerable prairie dogs, and then into the Choklit Syrup Swamp. Beyond that are the Eastern Seas(the ones that Gwendolyn hails from). Along the shores are the Granulated Sugar Beaches, with tropical resorts at regular intervals. San Dxkosii is located where the Meringue Rivers divide.

more ideas for the muse academy:
-k-. has anyone read a manga called Shutterbox? i just finished it, and its v much worth reading. the setting of it is the Muse Academy in Merridiah, which is in the 9th dimension. cmon ppl, this is totally schweet! lets build the Academy in the 9th dimension!
since i cant post a pic, ill just try to describe it, so bear with me…
the Academy kind of has a gothic / fantasy-like aura to it. its made of stone, but somehow it floats above this crater / hole thingie – which leads down into the 4th-6th dimensions; these are inhabited by blood-sucking banshees (which were the muses enemies in shutterbox). its anchored to the sides of the hole by lots of little chains…and if it came undone, it would float off into the universe forevermore.
this Academy is huge – it can hold up to 10 million people! there are bridges that connect it to nearby towns, so we wouldnt be isolated.
the interior: countless rooms and corridors, and some of them change frequently (just like in hp, ppl). there are many skylights and balconies. there are also many narrow walkways (scaffolding, almost) outside the Academy’s walls that one can use to get around.
of course, well each be issued our own hoverboard, for when we have to get somewhere esp fast.
and the best part: we would also be near the Neverending Sea of Nothingness (well, it was called the sea of somniferys in the book). anyone who falls into this sea will simply…”cease to exist.” so…if if anyone starts to be a real nuisance…mwa-ha! *evile giggle*

I taught classes on spreading pie propoganda and recruiting at the olde Muse Academy. I think I’ll do the same thing here. And my room will have squishy red foam [like the material that stress-relief balls are made from] chairs. And “JOIN THE MUSERS!” written on the ceiling in day-glo orange. With a black background.

I want to be the philosophy teacher. (Second choice is psychology.) I went through this period when I was eleven when I was really interested in philosophy and read a zillion books on it and wanted to be a philosopher when I grew up. My classroom is in a treehouse next to the academy. It can be reached by bridge from the janitor’s closet or by ladder from the ground. The ceiling and walls of the classroom are TV screens, and show either nice outdoor views or live footage of the rest of the academy, handily provided by a remote-control robot crawling on the walls of the academy. There is a Harkness table in my classroom.

There is now a barrel of lemons in my store which says “Organic lemons- Freshly picked. One Pie Crust per pound or whatever you have to trade*
I also started up orange, grapefruit, apple, lime, peach, plum, tangerine, nectartine, kiwi, mango, papaya, banana, and pear orchard, so those are all for sail in barrels next to the lemons.
I also have a hen-house out back, so there are fresh eggs everyday for the non-Vegans.
I also have an excellent herb garden, just before the orchards. This provides the store with mint, rosemary, thyme, oregano, dill, fennel, lemon grass.
There’s also bottles of spices and salts.

Okay, I’m figuring out the rest of the Museica landscape.
In the West are the Mystic Molasses Deserts. These resemble the Painted Desert of the western United States, except they are dotted with molasses oasises (sp?). Mulberry groves can be found by these molassesholes. Many strange rock formations can be found there. Legend says that they were made by aliens who had come to Earth to have an abstract sculpture festival. Their work was to big to carry back home. As one goes toward the coast, towards the Piecific Ocean, one finds more cities, and forest after forest of berries. The beaches are wonderful, with lots of pretty shells and luverly crystal blue waters. No trashy tourist towns!

I wish that song wasn’t in my head. It’s lame. If you want, I can use (or is it abuse) my diplomatic immunity and pie a few people who need pieing the way an alarm needs setting.
In Kiador all our rivers flow south into a river that takes them all in a big steaming gorge that powers the entire country. We get batteries from it and everything. Oheedar waves (like radio waves, but there’s more of them and they’re stable, they don’t fade) are created by the gorge, and people make o-dar stations like radio stations. Except the gov. stays out of that, so we have no radio pirates. I bring this up because the system may be useful in Museica.

168- It’s NOT sawdusty. Weetabix comes in big-ish buicuits of weatflakes that break up when you pour milk on them. It’s fun to pour honey on it to help keep the pieces glued together.
I think the walls of the canyon should be made of layers of breakfast cereal, compacted together like sedimentary rock.

Okay in the molasses dessert a strangely modern buliding with sweeping curves is labled “Library of Musica” outside a pond with koi in it and a sign “No Fees” in side it is three layers the bottom there is a cafe and a nook a spiral stair case goes to the next level with rows of books and on the top level all glass ceiling floor windows a aquarium in one of the walls and books and couches and the head librarian is ::DAW::.

I live in Hawking City. I run a shop full of raspberries, which are magically engineered to grow year-round and be REALLY sweet and juicy. My classroom is in an alternate universe (my real home) and can be reached by way of the stained glass window above whoever said that’s classroom.

Please. people, no more wars. Let’s stick with the idea of a pie-war sport. Which means it’s on a regulation field, no grudges, no purpose, etc, etc. Plus, we’re a peaceful world. We don’t hunt animals (except for food) and paper is made out of a special high-tech synthetic so we don’t have to cut down trees. All electricity is water- and geo- powered, and cars don’t use gasoline, but are compost-powered. That is, you stick your garbage into the engine, and the car breaks it down into usable energy.

Just in case Bellatrix carries through with her plan, the Academy of Knighthood just got it’s first few pages. Soon they’ll be riding llamaback through the valleys, with their poison-tipped pencils as swords and a cart of pies at the back. Not too mention Pointy-Thing arrows and piecrust bows.

Howabout then, Museica is a new continent that was formed out of all the pie crusts that built up and displaced a lot of the ocean. Now most of N.america and S. america, eurpope and asia are all under water (except for the really high up bits). So we are on earth, but it’s a new continent. Iceland was spared from the flooding.

River needs to be fresh water, because salt water tastes nasty. But plain salt tastes good! I like eating plain salt! Yay! I probably should stop talking before I go horribly off topic.
