FIRST POST!!!!!!!
Wow, we didn’t get a part two until the 17th.
–In reply to kiki’s comment in the olde thread, I welcomed you back in comment 290.
yesssssssssssssss.
2- Um, sorry, but thats still 4 MEASLY PEOPLE!!!!
Hey, I think we’re the only people here….
^^prime example of completely useless comment…
Man, talk about “Pride and Prejudice”
I now know why women in Israel aren’t allowed to sing.
OK, so theres this british guy in my class. I hated him. Mainly because he seemed like a self-absorbed creep. He had a girlfriend: My friend.
So, today, I was quietly singing “Even the best fall down sometimes. Even the wrong words seem to rhyme. Out of the doubt that fills your mind. You finally find You and I collide”
The guy sitting next him told me “He likes you” and then said “He wants to know if you’ll go out with him.”. He then asked himself “Will you go out with me?”. Now, keep in mind that his girlfriend is my friend. I said “I’ll think about it”.
Then, I waled right up to him, and looked him straight in the eye.
Me: Have you ever heard of “Pride and Prejudice?”
Him: No
Me: It basically goes like this.
And I then, for the first time, quoted Muse.
Me (making little puppets with my hands): ‘I hate you’ ‘I love you’ ‘Ive changed my mind!’. Now, that can either be our story or… screw you.
Many things happened not worth mentioning. The teacher made him sit on the floor. Yadda yadda….
Anyone who had read P&P, tell me: How many pages is it?
CY- That’s…interesting….um, P&P is a little over 400 pages long…
What kind of freak hasn’t heard of Pride and Prejudice?
I cry for our generation.
I wonder how it’s possible for a Muser to have subscribed to the magazine for years without ever quoting it before. CY, how could you resist?
*shrugs* I might have before, I just never really used a Muse quote in a serious context.
But still…. I’m surprised myself that I’vce been reading since 2003 (My first issue was the LOTR issuse) and I’ve neer quoted it seriously.
I liked the condensed stories..they were really funny. I liked shorter Pride and Prejudice condensed story. The, “I hate you, I love you, I changed my mind!” one. I also liked the really long Harry Potter one…with one for each book. We should have a thread for condensed stories, that would be fun
Finally… I completely lost track of part one. I’ve quoted muse many, many times.
Just wondering: has anyone here read “In Cold Blood” by Truman Capote? It’s a true murder story. Right now I am almost done with it– I couldn’t put it down. It’s incredibly depressing, but so well written. My uncle loned it to me when I saw him because I was babysiting his kids. One is six, one is four, the latter of whom had an ear infection the night I was babysitting. Pour kid.
So, if you want to read a really well written book, and you can stand reading about depressing violence, read it. I’d post a link to a description, but it would get zapped, so if you want one, google on the book title or something.
On another note, my other uncle’s wedding is going to be on April first next year. mwahaha.. April fools’ day
*goes and writes thank you notes* *or should*
aaaaaaaaaaaaaah!! I spelled “loaned” wrong. It should be “loaned”, not “loned”
oh, and welcome back, kiki the great. How was camp?
6 (CY)- Wait… What’s that song? I think I know it, but I’m not good with lyrics.
That guy sounds like a jerk. Give him a pie in the face.
Dog excrement is not easy to clean out of carpets. And I’ll stop there in describing today’s Happy Shiny Penty Adventure. Fill in the blanks.
Ick. Thank-You notes.
Its called Collide. Hers the lyrics….
The dawn is breaking
A light shining through
You’re barely waking
And I’m tangled up in you
Yeah
I’m open, you’re closed
Where I follow, you’ll go
I worry I won’t see your face
Light up again
Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the wrong words seem to rhyme
Out of the doubt that fills my mind
I somehow find
You and I collide
I’m quiet you know
You make a frist impression
I’ve found I’m scared to know I’m always on your mind
Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the stars refuse to shine
Out of the back you fall in time
I somehow find
You and I collide
Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the wrong words seem to ryhme
Out of the doubt that fills your mind
You finally find
You and I collide
You finally find
You and I collide
You finally find
You and I collide
I was singing it mainly because it was stuck in my head.
#6: I have to read that this summer…for AP Lit…*starts to bite nails*…and summer’s halfway over now…oh my *chompchompchomp*
Jeesh, someone just HAD to remind me of ^^. I was seroiously having a GREAT day until just now.
Hey, I’m only kidding
But yes, I am v excited today, b/c my musik finally came!! My voice teacher told me to find the sheet musik for a song I’ve always wanted to sing, so I ordered this book that had all the sheet musik from Fallen (evanescence). Now I just have to choose which song I’m going to have a go at…It’s probably going to be Hello, possibly My Immortal.
Howie Day?
17- I have that book. Complete with guitar tab. It’s very froody.
EEG!! SPELLING ERROR! *cont to bite nails*
**seriously
Part two! Yay!
Summer is halfway over? EEEEEKKKK
I am in shock. notfairnotfairnotfairnotfairnotfair
ug
Yeah, eeek is right. I read my book report book but still need to do the actual work, aka making a big colage of pictures and stuff to go with it, which shouldn’t be too hard. I read The Martain Chronicals by Ray Badburry(he grew up in a town near mine! How cool is that? Or is that to mch info? Zap it if you want) and througoly enjoyed it. Great author, Bradburry. The Illistrated Man was another good book.
It is hard to believe that summer is about half way over. It seems like school started just yesterday! (ok that was so cliche. that’s ok.)
BLOODY WORDPRESS! It took me TWO HOURS to get to MuseBlog because it kept telling me that I had to install it to run MB. Which is utter garbage, because I never did before. So I pied it soundly, and returned to the land of the living… sort of.
Hello Musely people!
I’m headed to the Outer Banks *coughholdingmyownMuseBlogpartycough* Friday and will not be back for a week. And between now and my departure time, I will most likely be too lazy to post. So…
Adios!
Au Revoir!
Sayonora!
Aloha!
Tschüs!
Ciao!
Tot Ziens!
Tchau!
Avskjed!
Прощайте!
21- Looooove that book!
(23) Try all day to get on. Same nonsense about some php thing. Whatever, WordPress hates me so I knew I had to wait. xD
Bye Gwendolyn! Have a jolly time! -HOHOHO-
24 (Gwen)- Zai jian! Have a wonderful time at your Museblog party!
26 (Axa)- Try refreshing it once you get the php thingy. That’s what worked for me. (Not pies. I lied.) Of course, you must have figured something out, or else you wouldn’t be here. The rest of you then: try refreshing.
23- ME TOO! But more than two hours…
I got my hair cut yesterday. I tried drying it today. I look like the freakish cross between a flapper and an emo boy.
And I’m volunteering at the hospital againe today. w00tness.
IM BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i was stuck in the middle of nowhere in Alaska. Really. Luckilly my dad came out later, and Muse came the day before he left, so he brought it out, and i didnt suffer too much after that. Now, i want my OWN welcome back thread or i will leave for ever, and i will die, becaus ei have just been diagnosed with an EXTREMELY weak haert, and too much shock/suprise could kill me. (another reason why i have been gone so long- i was in hospital, right before Alaska!)
Has MG come back yet?
TaTa
21- you still have school?
22- diddo
we had a blackout a couple of nights ago and the computer was acting funny and wouldnt let me go on museblog.
23 & 26- you too? then maybe it wasnt the blackout after all…
There was a problem with the host company. GAPAs couldn’t get on, either.
Final Farewell: I’m off to camp! Gapas-will the next muse arrive in the next 4 weeks? I want my parents to mail it to me. Please reply by 6:00 tomorrow or sooner. Thanx!
BYE!!! ADIOS!!! SUDIEV!! AUFWIEDERSEIN!!!
(clueless on spelling..)
anywho, i am leaving to EUROPE for almost 2 weeks, so try not to miss me too much.. lol. i’ll send all of you a virtual sovenier (spelling..?). or a rock. lol.
anyway, BYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DY (33),
The next Muse will be the September issue.Yes, it should arrive in four or five weeks.
23 (and others, apparently)- same here! now, to get on muse blog, I have to go to my email, click on the link to wordpress login, and click “back to blog”, or it takes all day to get here.
29- Yay! Welcome back!
33- Have fun!
34- ^^Ditto!
Thank you! Bye everyone!
candles are underappreciated. all we really use them for is for their scent. but candles are as bright as any flashlight, even thogh they flicker. we should try to get our parents to give us candles so that we can try reading by candlelight or something.
24- Cool! Me and VF just came back from the outer banks. Twas fun.
39- my parents think i’m gonna burn the house down if i have candles…. but yes, candles ROCK! i had a friend who obsessed with candles, so whenever she came to our house she had to light a candle!! lol!
ok, this is really goodbye!!!!
BYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
32 (OEAD)- Bloody WordPress.
31 (FF)- We had a blackout too. It’s because everyone is using their air-conditioning, which overheats the electrical systems or something, so they burn out for a bit. Which means no AC for a bit, which is very bad, as my melting point is 80 degrees and recently it’s gotten over 100.
JUBILATION GALORE!
There are now 300 posts on the ‘Muse Movie’ thread.
Come on by.
23, 26, 28, 31, me too! I’m glad there was a problem with everyone because I would be very sad if I couldn’t get on anymore
Hello. I’m back againe, but this time in Part Two. Seems like I missed a lot while I was at camp.
My head hurts. An hour ago, I decided to go read outside and enjoy the not-raining, not-over-80-degrees weather. I was barely outside for a minute before this HUGE stinkin’ bug zooms out of nowhere and stings me right on the forehead. (Probably getting revenge for earlier today, when I was going around the deck with a can of kill spray and spraying all the wasps I could find.) I stomped down to the kitchen and got some ice cubes in a washcloth, then stomped upstairs to read in the boxed-in, climate-controlled and too hot habitat of my room. Owwww. *grrmph*
Hello!
Goodbye Gwen, DY and book_addict! Have fun where your going!
and welcome back, PSPOP!
I am at a beach house in Stinson Beach CA. (I think I’m allowed to say that…) It’s so coo!!! We have the best view EVER!! I’ve spent the last few days surfing. It’s really fun, though I’ve only caught about 3 waves because I’m so bad at it.
I’ve been trying to post for a while, but the only connection I have is through my dad’s Treo and it’s not very reliable. It always disconnects before I can read through a whole thread.
We just got rid of a gigantic wasps nest in our backyard.
Hey. Sorry I didn’t post yesterday or most of today, but my eeeeeeeeeeeevil brother wasd playing MarbleBlast Gold on my compy and he MESSED IT UP and my dad couldn’t be bothered to fix it until now.
39- Totally. I LOVE reading by candlelight. That’s why I get so excited when a thunderstorm comes. Also, I like playing Rummikub by candlelight.
IDEA!!!!!! Lets call Pentatonikk Penty, and Quintessetia Quinty!!
Five and Six, pick up sticks!
(27) I only got an error message when I was LUCKY. For the most part, the progress gauge things at the bottom of my window would be at half for about seven enternities. Very infuriating, I gave up and came back later.
I wish we would get a storm here, or something. It was spitting rain a little bit a few days ago but nothing cam of that. Hmph.
this afternoon we had another blakout. at least it wasnt during the night this time.
We had a ig storm. Big big storm. Not soo after we discovered my window leaks.
50 (kiki)- They both mean ‘five’, I believe. I go by Penty or Penty-chan already, so it’s fine by me. However, I would like everyone to notice the differences between the ‘E’ and ‘A’ keys. See? When typing the name of the Pent, do not mix them up, or I shall beat you to a bloody pulp and then implode your face with a dog-hair pie.
Sorry for the possible double post. I just took this personality quiz. I am a sucker for those kinds of things. This is, apparently my list of traits. Laugh all you like. I answered it honestly.
messy, depressed, introverted, feels invisible, does not make friends easily, nihilistic, reveals little about self, fragile, dark, bizarre, feels undesirable, dislikes leadership, reclusive, weird, irritable, frequently second guesses self, unassertive, unsympathetic, low self control, observer, worrying, phobic, suspicious, unproductive, avoidant, negative, bad at saving money, emotionally sensitive, does not like to stand out, dislikes large parties, submissive, daydreamer
Some of them are very true, but others are downright wrong. Like, I can be very sympathetic towards people that I like. I’m just awful at displaying it. And submissive? Excuse me while I go slap a few authority figures (I do not consider the OEADs to be authority figures; they’re nice.) and then laugh my dominant guts out. And I am not ‘dark’. ‘Dark’ in relation to a person makes me think of all those pseudo-goth kids who act like idiots because they want to be cool.
So… meh. But I still liked taking the test.
ahh. this explains why i couldn’t get to MB. but, the gremlins have been at large at my town, so it wasn’t out of the ordinary. they have messen up the internet on our computer, my cousin’s computer, and the dozen at the library. so sad.
UNRELATED COMMENT: Ame no Hi wa No Thank You is the best song ever. EVER. -swoons at Toru Ohkawa’s sexay voice- Roy in song form= for the winn. omg.
Anyway; those personality tests pick a certain stereotype and list the expected characteristics. Sort of like a Mary-Sue grab bag. Quizilla has become a really bad website in my opinion; two or three years ago there wasn’t as much HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE “fanfiction” and “stories”. Blech.
I do so love to report the copyright infringments, though. ♥
Has anybody ever watched Grocery Store Wars? I just saw it for the first time last night. IT IS SOOOOO FUNNY! It also has a good message to it, which is nice. Even if I could post a link( I don’t really know how), I would not do so, for it would be zapped. But it is incredibly amusing, though the plot is a bit messed up, I think. I don’t know, having seen the actual starwars movies not very many times. The characters are all food. There is Chewbrocoli, Ham Solo, Princess lettice(spelling?), Cuke skywalker, etc. etc. etc. The death star is the death melon. It is GREAT!!!!!! It took my ancient computer a million years to load it the first time, but the second time it played it really well. I am now going to play it yet again!!! *goes off into the distance searching…*
I just watched it yet again. HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!
I quote(after watching it yet again):
“It’s a melon”
“THE DEATH MELON”
“The giant fruit threateans us all”
“My father? But that’s…impossible.”
Speaking of awesome movies, I just saw The Day The Earth Stood Still. Schweet!
i am still mostly clueless about star wars, so im not entirely sure about what you’re talking. i do know a bit more since i read the wikipedia articles on star wars.
Oh, I say that! Don’t forget about Yogurt!(Yoda)
i just read a thing that said prarie dogs are at risk of extinction! save them ! save them!
55- Was that the one on SimilarMinds?
57- Quizilla *shudder* But it’s really fun to laugh at when I’m reeeally bored…
58- I loved that flick.
62- YAY!
So, my iPod died yesterday. Like, the whole screen went blank and wouldn’t go on no matter what I pressed…or even when I plugged it into the charger. Then, this morning, it mysteriously came back to life, displayed the /!\ [||_!_]~ message, and turned itself off. I plugged it in and it is fine now. I think… By the way, those funny symbols were the result of my trying to illustrate the ! in a triangle and the low battery with a !…
48 – my brother plays that too! He’s only 6 but he likes to “die.”
ROFLCOPTERS my iPod loves me. We’re best friends. Just the other day we had a nice spot of tes in the park, it was fabulous.
Going to camp in three days! Or is it four? In any case, I will be gone for a week or pure, wonderful, complete, HAPPINESS!!!1111 OMG!1!!1
Horse camp is the beeesssst.
67- My brother’s 7! He liuked to commit “marble suicide” as he calls it.
klatu barrada nikto
AXEL F!
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
ding ding di-di-dingding CRAZY FROG!
66 (SM)- Yeah, SimilarMinds.
I have my own absence to report: I will be leaving on Saturday for Canada and may not be able to post tomorrow or later today. If anyone else happens to be heading to Ontario, it’s okay to glomp every short girl with ridiculously long brown hair that you see, just in case she’s me. You have my permission to hug me, and I won’t even pie you. Consider this a boon.
Zai jian. (Possibly.)
store wars is funny
Well it seems as if someones had a little too much sugar today. *edges away fromkiki*
sorry.
63-google Grocery Store Wars
hehehehheeheeee
Have fun, Penty!
#28: That actually sounds purty neat!
Wasps are stupid.
#39: I luv candles…have about 20 of them in my room…yeah, it’s fun to read by candlelight.
#45: Aw!
#72: Ooh, hav fun. Ontario’s a cool place to visit.
LOL, I’ve heard about Store Wars.
OZZFEST ROCKED!!
…Sry – I attempted to post a little goodbye message on Tues, but my comp was having issues, and I see now that my attempt failed. Anyways.
Aside from getting beer spilled on my shoes by some random guy (Bleh. I swear, I will nvr drink that stuff. Ever. Not even after I turn 21), getting hit on by three creepy guys (BLEH!), and having to listen to Disturbed for half an hour (grr…I HATE that band!), it was the most fun I’ve had so far this summer.
So…we got there at around five (pm), and the band we reely wanted to see – Lacuna Coil – was supposed to start playing then. So we ran to the amphitheatre, and they started playing almost right when we got there. Oh my gosh, I was so excited to finally be able to see them live. Cristina Scabbia has the most amazing voice ever. There were no mosh pits yet, so my friend and I tried to do a two-person mosh pit, but that was kind of boring.
After they finished playing, we went to the merch area and got some schweet LC t-shirts. I actually made a LC shirt to wear there, but I wanted to get another one, b/c I used fabric pens on the one I made, so all the writing is going to come off when I wash it
. Then we went looking for food, and all we could find was this little place w/ cashews and almonds – six dollars per (small) bag! Why does everything at concerts hav to be so expensive? Honestly. After we gave in and bought some, my friend found this little tent w/ ppls selling henna tattoos. She got a pieces (sp?) sign on her wrist, and I got a moon on my upper arm. I’ve nvr had a henna before. The paste has to stay on for an hour, and it’s this green smelly stuff. Bleh. But it looks v coolish.
We found out that Avenged Sevenfold was next, and my friend found this spot overlooking the left side of the stage where we could sneak a few pics. See, the band we wanted to see the most was LC, but the band we wanted to STALK the most was A7X (he’s called “Synester” – plays lead guitar – HOT…need I say more?). We managed to get a few pics, but I’m not sure if they’ll turn out good.
There was nothing else to do, so we went back to the amphitheatre + watched Disturbed for awhile…grr…I wanted to cover my ears. That’s when the mosh pits started forming (Yeah, there were all these ppls doing the metal fingers + going like “Yeah! Disturbed!!” Tch.).
But that was worth waiting through, b/c System of a Down were after them. I was once again v excited. We managed to get a few pics of them also…Then they started playing…I was hoping that they’d decide to play Kill Rock and Roll (LOL this song is so random – the first time I heard it, I laughed for about ten min) – and they did!! By then, I had perfected my metal fingers – so my friend and I were doing those like every ten seconds, and I was singing too, but I couldn’t hear myself of course. OK, SoaD is def a good band to see live. Their songs are so twisted and random – one minute it’s all quiet – and then a second later it’s so loud that your ears hurt and the bass is making your brain rattle. Serj seems like a complete psycho, but he was awesome onstage. Near the end of the show, he made this relly-in-your-face antiwar statement, and it was so moving – I literally cheered until I ran out of breath.
Then…Ozzfest was over for D-Town. Sigh. It rocked my sox. On our way out, my friend and I lingered around the tour busses, in one last attempt to stalk Synester, but alas, he was nowhere to be found *sighs* . I liked SoaD and A7X v much, but my favourit band there was def LC – (LOL) They were the only band that didn’t drop the F-word during their entire time onstage – all the other bands said it at least – 85 times. Maybe Italians are just more polite that Americans (they’re Italian) – and they were actually dressed nice too – kind of dark toned, formal apperal.
I can’t wait to get my pics developed. Maybe the one of Synester turned out okay…hehe.
*Looks at how long her post is*
*whistles*
OK, I feel the need to post again. Sry.
But today my friend invited me to Sounds of the Underground next month. Eesh, I might actually be a little bit scared at this one! I mean, I’m into rock and some metal, but my friend is obsessed w/ metalcore – esp In Flames. Oh man…I’m bringing earplugs to this one.
78 (emogrl)- Lucky you. I want to go to concerts, but apparently I am ‘too young’. Because fourteen is so totally babyish and all. Practically diapers.
But it sounds really fun and like you had a good time. And that’s always shiny. I think I shall have to chck out Lacuna Coil. They sound cool.
Yeah, I’m still here. I stay up too late.
78- Uh, thanks. Ozzfest sounds amazing. You=mucho lucky. SoaD is very cool. LC sounds cool. *goes to check out*
ha ha!! LOL!! my dog was just eating tissues!! I saw something white hanging out of his mouth, and I thought it was allergies (he’s is allergic to pollen) but it was a tissue! sorry for the total randomness of that, but it was really funny
Hola!
I was up until four this morning…woke up at 10:30…still hav lots of energy! *takes another sip of coffee*
My friend and I might see Tokyo Drift this weekend. Has anyone else seen it? How was it?
Haven’t seen it. Does the text here look incredably small to everyone, or is it just me?
Store Wars is funny..I got it from google video. It gets a little tiring to watch it over and over, though.
1 person said hi to me. im now very depressed
I thought it was time to change my name. Don’t laugh. Am I the only Edge Chronicles fan here?
#82: My dog does that sometimes. When she’s stressed. I don’t know why…
87- No! i LOVE those books. I have them all in my room.
AN ANNOUNCEMENT.
I, PRARILIUS CANIX, HAVE FIGURED OUT HOW TO PRONOUNCE “PWT”.
YES.
THAT IS CORRECT.
After searching exhaustively for an online Coptic dictionary, I have come to the conclusion that it is pronounced “pwuh”.
Since “bwk”, a variant of “pwt”, means “she” I have also come to the conclusion that Pwt is a girl.
Of course, I could be hopelessly wrong.
It’s hard to tell with Muses.
store wars… must check out
Did you know that in the issue where Kokopelli stole Chad’s mind reader, and cheated on the test, Pwt thought somthing along the lines of “But (some girls name I can’t remember) is a girl! And she’s going some much slower than(some boys name I can’t rember). Well maybe she was being more careful, and takeing her time while he was rushing.” That sounds like somthing a girl would think, not a guy. However, I am undecided on the issue.
Is it too late to volunteer to tap dance in the Museical?
87- eh like those books wen i was like 8
just a kvestion, but were are:ebeth, em grant, queenie? havent seen them
(78) That experience sounds like Anime Expo for me. HYDE. LIVE. YESSSSSSSS~ And all the Naruto dub VAs being hilarious. ♥ That sounds very fun!
(83) I saw it with two friends mostly because we have an affinity for sexay Japanese men. If you’re looking for a quality movie, I would recommend it ONLY because Sung Kang is the best person in the world, and gives the only good performance in that as Han. He’s too good for them~
A lot of it was stereotypical and moderately “THAT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN” but if you like racing, sure. Though the leade character bugged me so bad. He just wouldn’t die. >___>
Many Musers are off at camp right now, DLoD. Things have slowed down a bit here, but that seems appropriate for summer.
It’s hard to keep track of the MuseBloggers’ summer activities. To the best of my recollection, ebeth is at band geek camp and queenie is at camp too — or maybe that’s over now and she’s visiting her home planet Kiador. I don’t know what em or grant are up to — though I’m curious.
I think pwt is a girl solely because it showed in the memory issue that s/he had a crush on Feather. But he could be Bi or Gay….
I’m leaving tomorrow, and i was gone all week. If i get a chance to post, It’ll be under a phony email so no one at camp finds out my address. Is that ok?
Will they be looking over your shoulder? Never mind, that’s fine.
Last night I went to see Lady in the Water with some friends. The movie was cute, but the microphone kept showing up in the top of the screen. The first time, I missed it, but it kept popping back in! I and the girl I was sitting next to were like “What? Didn’t they notice that? Didn’t they edit it out?!?!?” It was weird. And the director had a main-ish character role in the movie. Also weird. And then some idiot held up a lighter to a smoke detector or something like that so we had to evacuate and I missed the last 5-10 minutes of the movie! Aargh! So now I’ll have to see it againe!!!!! Grr.
Hey, Speaking of lady in the water, its Gergor Mendells birthday HOOORAY YAY! Thread, please?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GREGOR!! That’s a cool name.
I think this is the Gregor Mendel thread, for as long as anyone wants to talk about him.
97+98
i see
I started reading the first Edge Chronicles book a few years ago (I think), but it didn’t seem too interesting, so I didn’t read the others.
(102) About microphone booms. Roger Ebert has commented on this quite frequently. He says, “When you repeatedly see a boom mike in a movie, 99.9 percent of the time it is NOT the fault of the film’s director, but of the projectionist in your theater, who has framed the film incorrectly. Many films contain additional real estate above and below the frame, to allow the picture to bleed off the edge of the screen. A complaint to the theater manager may do the trick.”
Ooooh. Thanks for the info.
That explains a lot. Sometimes you could see the edges of the frames…
101-well, you never know. I was thinking of auto fill in- like, if i type D, my comp types arth Yoda form me…
Checking in from Canada. I do have inernet access. Joy. However, there azre only two computers at the hotel I’m staying at, and somebody’s waiting, so I’ll have to make this quick.
Happy birthdy, Mr. Mendel! It’s also my little sister’s birthday. Happy birthday to her too.
I hold firm on the belief that Pwt is male. Note clothing. Note that Crraw usually refers to him as “he”. Yes, Pwt is of the male persuasion. I didn’t know he had a crush on Feather, though. Where’d you hear that?
Uchiha Sasuke’s birthday tommorow guyssss. I;m a huge Naruto fan, so yes.
Also, Axa will not be on from the 23-29. I will be at horse camp for the week.
No one cares, I know, but I’m just letting everybody know. 8D
And I hate those paid internet things in hotels. Blah.
Gregor Mendel YES I know who that is without having to check Wiki! Yay! *goves self choklit*
Happy birthday.
#102: Now that’s a little strange…
Tokyo Drift wasn’t at the theater anymore, : ( , so my friend and I decided to see You, Me, and Dupree. V funny.
*isn’t
hey i havent posted anything on here in a long time even though its my homepage.

Have fun at horse camp, Axa!
116 (ssj)- That’s because half of us are on vacation. I am too, but I have no life, even when on a trip, and so can hang around on the internet all day (or not, since very early in the morning is hardly all day). It’s almost 11 here; I think we’re on Eastern time. This means it’s 10 back home. Which is way too early for me.
Bye Axa! I’m leaving Monday morning for camp too.
Why does it say there’s a thread “Happy Birthday, Anata~ChinTsu!” But when you click it it says “Sorry, this page was not found.” ?
Penty- Hi! *waves*
Axa- Have fun at horse camp!
JS- Bye! Have fun!
Wow. Moste of the comments here are announcements about vacations/camp.
Perplexing, Jadestone (121).
I don’t see that thread. Maybe Robert did something tricky before vanishing on his vacation.
You can only see it on the little side bar widget…
hi shriya! what’s new? bye everbody who’s leaving!
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I’m BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA—AAAAAAAAAAAACKK!!!
I’m so sorry! So, so sorry! I missed my birthday! Waaaaaahhh!!! I wanted to log on, but my parents wouldn’t let me! Sorry! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh!
So what’ve I missed?
Oh, and I know I was gone for a few months… I BLAME SOCIETY!
I hate when that happens…..what’s going on? The usual. You’ll be back in the thick of things in no time….expecially because the blog moves more slowly in the summer…:)
I thought this would create some wild theorizing.
I have another identity on Museblog. I’m not talking about Captain Cynomys. This identity doesn’t show up on Who’s Here. And I won’t tell anyone who it is.
hehehehehehe….
welcome back memyselfandi!!!!!!!
i remember you!
Prarilius Canix, you are not me or purplefinch. That much I know. You are quite sneaky.
Are you Night Fox?
GAPA will probably know who it is, though. They have special GAPA powers and will figure it out.
YAHOOOOOOOOOO!!! Today I’m going to the Muse Office place to meet Samablamablous!!!!!! WHOOOOOOOOO!!
**especially
I can’t type properly.
Does anyone have an iPod video?
130- you wouldnt be that person who posted on the invisible thread a while back, are you? right here? https://musefanpage.com/blog/?p=362#comment-44
no, it couldnt be because the whos here page says you first posted on 6/6/06.
135 – really?!?!?! Why?
I am back from not checking this website. Welcome back, kiki_the_egotistical. Not many people welcome me either. Maybe you reacted more strongly (I’m guessing here, I didn’t actually read the post) because you’re feeling down lately. Eat some chocolate and watch a funny movie!
Guess what I got to do today and yesterday! I got to go through dozens of file boxes, making a list of every single file in every box. There were 59 to begin with, now there are only 2. Nobody can say the Chairman doesn’t work hard. Seriously, face it: there’s not much to do in a small basement room with lots of boxes, a narrow aisle, and no comfortable place to sit except the job you’re supposed to. I do enjoy it slightly though. Especially since the last week I worked at my dad’s office (yes, my father is a lawyer) I made approxmately $260. That’s Monday through Thursday, 8:00 to 5:00.
I know most of the Musers aren’t gamers, but in the slim chance that some of y’all have played Half-Life 2, I’m gonna go ahead and recommend “Concerned.” It’s a webcomic based off of the game and is absolutely hilarious if you know how the plot of HL2 goes. I’m not going to give a link, since those are being deleted now, so instead I’m going to recommend you go ahead and look up “Concerned” minus the quotes on Wikipedia, then click on the link at the bottom that takes you to the comic.
I feel so out of sync with the Museblog community, because of or possibly causing my long absences.
check this out: it tried to go to some thread, and got this:

Hey! I just got more anti-highlights in my hair. I think I officially (sp?) count as a brunette.
141-hey!
welcome back
check the hot topics thread.
*pies*
I feel so loved… people actually remember me!
Welcome Back, Everyone!
87- I love the edge chronicles!
Okay!!! Woot!! The office was SO SCHWEET!!! Samablamablous showed us around, and she gave us some old proofs of the March and April issues. We also got some back issues: I got the Call of the Cryptile Lizard one, and my bro got the eggball one, and the optical illusion one. We got to look at the reelly old ones, and I actually got to HOLD and READ the FIRST ONE EVER!!!!!! We also got to get a sneak peek of NEXT MONTHS ISSUE!!!! Trust me, it’s pre-tty cool. Ask me questions.
Wow, Kiki. What was on the cover of the first Muse ever?
Sounds like Samablamablous is a fantastic tour guide.
What can you tell us about the state of insanity at the Muse office? Did you notice anything … unusual …?
148 coooooooooool!
wish i could do that
148- i am officially burning with jealousy. its simply NO FAIR! one of these days ill go to chicago and do all that…
hey, I’m checking this from camp on a computer I’m not actually supposed to be able to use, but yeah. so, hi, everyone..
and Phillippe Quint is _hot_…
148- GASSPP. THAT’S SO COOL!! I wanna go there…
#143: LOL, those sound neat.
I might be getting an Ipod!!
OOOOOooooooooooOOOOOOOOoooooooo I am SO excited!! My friend at work knows someone who’s trying to sell her old ipod mini – It’s in almost mint condition; the only reason why she’s selling it is b/c her parents just gave her a nano.
*is muy excited*
Hi Lizzie, hope you’re having fun at camp!
148-WOW!!! I am amazed! That is so cool that you were able to do that! How did you figure out a way to get the tour? Did you just, like, call, or just sort of arrive? I am so jealous!

no, not really that jealous. I feel happy for you! Congradulations!
148 – that’s so cool! Do they give tours all the time?
#154 I might be getting an iPod video for my birthday. Hopefully. Maybe. Possibly. I hope so. I could just buy one with the money I have saved up, but that would wipe me clean, and I want to buy a XPS (Ultimate Gaming Extreame Ultra Mega Cool But Really Expensive Laptop From Dell) when I go into college, so I have to save up for that. Then I’d be one of the most nerdy guys on campus! Yeah!
Hey GAPA’s, did you have to go to college to get this job?
148- You win. Againe.
154- If you buy it, make sure she gives you the iTunes software, too…
158- I want one of those, too. In red. But I’ll probably ende up getting a Koobox.
148-*gasp* That’s amazing! I’m going! *sprints out the door* lol but no do they give tours all the time or how did u get one?
Can you get blog posts with favorite quotations on the favorite quotations page? if so, here are mine:
“This had better work.”-Grand Moff Tarkin, Star Wars, ep. IV, A New Hope.
RUN! HELP! WE’VE BEEN OUTCLONED!!!!!-Koko, Muse, January 2997.
Please put those on “Favorite Quotations”, Rosanne! My favorite of the theme songs already there is “A Magazine called Muse.”
158-n00b
build yer own computer
XPSs arnt that good anyhoo
Okay. I shall answer all questions. 149- On the cover was an astronaut thinking in mosaic. The big title typeface was different, too. 151- Well, I think it would be easier if you were a Chicago residant, like moi. 156- Well, my awesome mom contacted Ssamablamablous and asked nicely for a tour! And she said yes! 148- I think I’m the first one to ask!
My comment has been awaiting moderation since 11:54 am, Blog time.
Rosanne, where art thou? *twitches*
Hey, guys.
How are things?
Hi, Sweet Melpomene and other Musers. I’m having a very busy day at the ol’ office today. So moderation has been/will be sporadic. But have no fear. I am still out here, and your comments WILL be moderated … eventually.
161- No, I really don’t think they give tours a lot. Everyone, pleez, don’t go running to get tours. We can arrange a group thing. Mebbe on a school-year weekend? If you all went running, you’d stress out poor Samblamablous!! And that would be baaaad.
…This shall be my new name for the rest of my metal phase, which will probably last through the rest of the summer – Then skool will resume, I shall become depressed again, and get the MCR, AFI, and Panic! back out…
I found the neatest forum – it’s called emptyspiral net – it’s mainly for Lacuna Coil, but I guess it’s for metal fans in general.
SM: You like evanescence, right? Their new album is coming out 10/2! I’m excited.
I forgot who Samablamablous is…
I started reading Pride + Prejudice the other day…it’s not over my head (like I thought it would be) or anything, I just think the characters, dialogue, plot…everything…in it is just…stupid. Sry. But if there was one word I could pick to describe the book, it would def be PETTY.
My voice lesson rocked today – it was an hour long instead of only half – and my teacher said I could move on from the song I’ve been practicing for the last two weeks. And I’m working on two songs from my evanescence songbook (My Immortal + Hello). Still a month of vacay left…
Emogirl, that’s what I thought of P&P too. I only got through maybe 40 pages before giving up. I’ll try again when I’m not so easily distracted, but I really don’t have the patience for it.
The Bev (159),
Your question, “Hey GAPAs, did you have to go to college to get this job?” is impossible to answer because being a GAPA isn’t a job. No one hired us, no one pays us. We do it just for fun.
Robert and I did go to college, though. And I doubt either of us would have our actual paying jobs (as magazine editors) unless we had.
169- Schweet! *does happy dance* Yeah, P&P is pretty, but it’s basically an early version of the dreaded chick-lit novel…
Hey, GAPAs, I think you should make a hpb favicon for MB…
169, 170-you have to see the funny side of it, or it’s completely boring and inane. Try reading it like the satire it is. You can laugh at the stupidity of the characters. Fun stuff. Laughing at people. Always enjoyable. Especially when they’re fictional characters and can’t get mad at you.
172-noooooooooooo! i hate it when people just see it as a sappy love story! nononononono…*pantpant* I need to get monty back in here FAST! You people…*sigh*
actually her comp has a virus. sad day.
right well nice ranting at you guys, see y’all later. Ok so that really wasn’t much of a rant…oh well. I’m feeling nice today. I’m in a non-ranting mood. Lucky you.
i just got an iPod nano!
i also just cut 14 inches off my hair for locks of love.
if nobody responds to this message, i shall do what MG did, and leave forever.
heres why-
>i never got my newbie pie.
>no one even cares that i have come back
>Robert and Rossane BOTH ignored me once i got back, when other people are gone for a week, they are treated like saints when they reaturn. Not Pinky.
I guess MG WAS right- MB is getting too inpersonal. Therefor, with a great sadness, I am never going to post here again, unless people start to notice me again.
if by Midnight, i am not recognised by 5 people, know that this is my lasy post. Cherish it.
I will always read MB’s posts, for it taught me alot, and when i still felt loved by my fellow MBers, i was really happy
Farewell Friends, I hope that this is not my final post.
Pinky
I care that u came back, stalking penguin.
now the question is — does any1 care that I came back??
i wont be posting here again for a while cuz i STILL dont have internet on my computer!!! sniffles. im at the library in maine right now.
im still fighting for an ipod — lucky! i’ll probably get one of those other mp3s instead.
i just finished witness, by karen hesse, which has to be the most PONITLESS, BADLY WRITTEN book in the world! it has no plot whatsoever and the writing is ah-bysmal! so, of course, my skool luvs it and makes us read it for summer reading. arr.
i saw the second pirates of the caribbean! who here thinks it was intensely screwed up? meee! i liked it, but the 1st one was WAAAAY better.
bye now! bemoan my passing! jk!
gapas, thank u, THANK U for fixing the dragon’sson’sex thing!
Yay. I was wondering where you [as in tPSPoP and bluemorphos’ghost] went….and a lot of other people who seemed to dissappear…iPod Nano? Lucky…I’m still putting off my [school-issued] summer reading list…..
149- Samablamablous is Samantha Sordyl’s Museblog name. She is the assistant editor of Muse.
Greetings, PSPoP & bluemorphos’ghost! Be of good cheer. Were not so many Musers away at camp or on vacation, I’m sure you’d be well inundated with welcoming pastries. I myself am in a sad state of NBP (never been pied), so I feel your pain.
Come to think, I’ve never pied anyone either. So here’s my chance! What’ll it be, PSPoP? Hmm, white-chocolate cranberry raspberry cheesecake pie should be an appropriate shade of pink.
Ready . . . aim . . . sploosh! Oops, missed, sorry. I am new at this, you know. Fortunately, a spare is at hand. Splat! Ah, yes, direct hit.
OK, that was fun. I’m beginning to see the blog from a whole new perspective . . . can’t. stop. self. *pies everyone in view*
*pies everyone not in view*
*pies everyone visible only to her pie-deranged mind*
…Museblog isn’t for being recognized or getting attention. It’s nothing personal if people don’t respond to your comments right away, especially since we’re on vacation right now and many of us don’t have access to a computer. We’re all here (I hope) to have fun and discuss things.
Leaving because you aren’t popular enough is a ridiculous (and attention seeking!) idea. Please don’t bring that kind of drama here.
Hi its em sorry no punc or caps cuz I’m using a blackberry and it is so hard to use the buttons are tiny haha and the imp is so annoying. I thought about sayin hi when I was in pa but it would have cost a dollar so I didn’t + I had no time.
Testin 123 trollss in a tantrum cause terrible trouble
Does this work
Heya pplses!!
#172: “Early chick-lit?” Yeah, that purty much nails it…
#174: OK, I’m not intelligent enough to hav more than one mode of reading, and the one mode I do hav only responds to sci-fis and manga…I guess that’s not relly a good thing, though.
I think I’m on the Chinese Food Diet or something. I’ve had either stir-fry, inari, or rice for dinner almost every night for the last few weeks, w/ the occasional (Asian) salad. And then my mother bought me like three lbs of tofu, so I’ve been having that a lot too – I don’t know why, b/c I don’t even like it that much. But it’s basically all protein, barely any calories, so I guess that’s good. And I’ve dropped at least five lbs, so that’s kewl.
180 – *pies*
now you’ve been pied!
I’ve been carving soap a lot lately. It’s really fun! I use ivory soap and a paperclip to carve it!
175- I’ve donated my hair to locks of love twice, and I’m growing it out again. My goal is to donate nine times because it takes about nine ponytails to make each wig.
187- That sounds so cool (the soap thing). I wanna try!
About P&P- I agree w/ Ebeth. It’s a great book. You just have to see it in the right way.
Will everyone on the blog please report to the Highlights magazine review page to
a) post disparaging reviews of Highlights and
b) witness how the extremely rude person directly called me a “Future Sociopath”!!!!
I wrote that as a child I was bored and read it in waiting rooms. He said that bored and listless children in waiting rooms who marked up and read copies and marred the “Hidden Pictures” panel were the future sociopaths of America. I didn’t say anything because I did not want to get into a flame war with some stranger, but will somebody cancel out his review for me please? Fanks.
(My review is posted under the name Otzi)
And thus “exiled” is exiled from the world,
And the world’s exile is death.
Eventually, yes. Since not many people could survive if launched out of Earth’s atmosphere, we can safely assume that death will follow exile from this planet.
For now we see through a glass, darkly.
Perhaps the glass was full of red wine?
Has anyone here read Shogun by James Clavell?
182- I’m typing this on a black berry. I’m glad I didn’t have to leave. This is such a boig part of my life. My iPod is black, and I’ve put purple flower decals on it. We had fireworks last night in our yard, even though they’re illegal out here. Oops!
*pies PSPoP, bluemorphos’ghost, and Rebecca Lasley with oatmeal creame pie* Just for goode measure.
189- Is this on Amazon? or on the Highlights site?
191 – you wouldn’t have had to leave either way.
Now you know.
187 & 192, Thanks for the pies! I somehow feel more real now. In a virtual way I mean.
Purple Panda, what sorts of things are you carving? Any special reason or just for fun?
189, well, Otzi, the same guy called Highlights “the New Yorker of children’s literature.” Funny, the other day I read a back issue of Muse and found an article I’d previously read . . . in the New Yorker.
195 – I’m carving lots of things…I just finished a polar bear, and I’ve done a stork and a turtle.
Hi Everyone! I just got back from vacation! So wonderful to be back on the good ole blog. However, I will not post the details of my vacation unless somone asks me to, for I do not want to clutter up this thread with unessecary chatter. For now, I’ll just say that vacation was smashing!
I’m back!! Did ya miss me? Good to see all of the people back from vacations and camps. Gwen, Pinky, the Blue Ghost, all of ye. Please don’t leave if people don’t respond right away, lots are at camp and moderation is slow.
Ahh, I see that our dear Lady Bunniful(Rebeca Lasley!) is feeling much more at homwe on the museblog… she’s starting to post on other threads besides the Visual Arts one and is pieing people left and right. Good for you! *pies with carmel-apple pie* Not a real type of pie, but it sounds good, doesn’t it?
Ahllo! *gives JS and Gwen welcome-back-to-the-blog cherry pies*
Purple Panda: That’s schweet! I tried carving soap once, but I just ended up w/ a pile of soap crumbs…
Today was fun. My friend from (censored) Lake, the town I grew up in, came here to buy tickets for a hockey game in Sept, and we decided to go downtown and look in all the vintage shops. I tried on this black dress in one of them (it went just below the knees + zipped up the front…does anyone know what era something like that might be from?), and it made me feel like Wednesday Addams. I bought this goth-type black shirt w/ green and mauve lace – It kind of looks like the top half of a Victorian dress.
LOL my friend hates this band called Dragonforce w/ a passion, so whenever she talks about something bad, she says Dragonforce instead of wvr it relly is…I’ve started doing it now, for some reason. I don’t even think the band is that bad. Ex: “My hair got all dragonforced up today”
“Be careful; don’t step in that big puddle of dragonforce”
“He has a bad case of dragonforce”
…Six days until Sounds of the Underground!!
Squee!!!!! I just got my class schedule for this year! I get to do an art exploratory and I’m in all GATE classes again! I was a little disappointed when they didn’t accept me to go to Algebra early on, but I know I can make it in for eigth grade, and most people don’t start till high school! Math was never really my strong point, and I feel flattered that they even picked me for testing. Gosh, it was annoying! You had eight minutes to complete each section of the multiple choice parts, and we were all dead on the open-ended response. I just needed one more section to pass! Oh, well. My dad tried Algebra in middle school, and almost everyone in his class flunked spectacularly.
*lurks off to do summer reading… or procrastinate*
The other day I went to tour the College of Wooster. It was very nice, I liked it there. I spent about half an hour lurking around in the bookstore. It struck me that most of the things I want to buy in college bookstores are office supplies, and that I should just go to a giant office supplies store.
Nobody answered my question about Shogun.
201 (USECGO)- Never read Shogun. Is it of a Goode and Interestinge Nature?
So, I’m still in Canada and pirateing my hotel’s computer. Stalker-phobia prevents me from stating where I am now, but I believe it’s all right to say that I am so moving to Toronto when I get out of college. I was very upset when we left, especially since I didn’t get to finish the China exhibit at the ROM. Toronto was really cool, if you like big cities. It had all sorts of fascinating little shops, which I wish I could have hung around in more. I found some spiffy vintage stuff, but none of it fit me because I’m too skinny. *TRAGIC SIGH*
Speaking of tragic sighs, no one has posted in the RRR since I last checked in on it. I’m almost reduced to bumping. Almost being the key word here. I still have some pride.
Aaah, the sounds of a lazy sunday. I slept till 10:30, adn then I watched an episode of Dirty Jobs. Then my bro came home from karate with one of his little friends. They obsessed over marbleblast gold, and they still are. I am listening to the soundtrack of the 25th annual putnam county spelling bee and typing. Huzzah for lazy sundays!!

199-i read a random newspaper article about them a few days ago. Apparantly they do like video game moosik or something. Kinda weird. I don’t think i’d like them either. video games are annoying.
201-Wooster! squee
203-Huzzah indeed! But you just posted the same thing twice. Well except for the adn/and. But whatev.
Ebeth just watched the Seven Samurai. She liked it. She will review it. But parentals kicking her off now :'( Oh she missed the first day of band camp too, being sick. V. sad. Luckily not away camp or anything. But still sad. Anyhoo, bye all
(204) I saw that musical in SF!!! I got to be in it! It was so cool! I need to stop with these exclamation points!
I volunteered to be one of the spellers in the spelling bee. THey took me asdide before the show started and told me all the stuff I had to do.
I had to walk to the front of the stage when the called my name. Then when they gave me a word to spell i had ask for the deffinintion and for them to use it in a sentance. My first word was mexicans and my second was schuse. And i got to be part of the dance routine. It was fun. But really last minute. I just arrived to see the musical and then they were like “would you like to be IN it?” and i was like “SURE why not?”
wow, really long raving post. apols.
i love being lazy. but i can’t be lazy, because my mom’s coming home tomarrow. my sister’s been living in the house for 3 weeks and it’s a complete mess. i got back from band camp yesterday and now we have to clean it before mom returns and flips out.
200- cool! congrats. you tried for algebra and your going to to 7th? wow. *is impressed* I did algebra last year, when i
was in 8th. math is cool. but difficult.
I got my list of classes. But for some reason, French 3 is not on the list… even though I thought I signed up…
I have not read Shogun, Chairman. Do tell us about it.
Welcome back JS, Gwen, and everyone else who needs welcoming back! *pie*
I got my finger smashed between 2 metal bocce balls yesterday. Now my pinkie finger on my left hand is literally un-useable. The nail is cracked and the bone is crushed. So much for my piano career.
Haven’t read Shogun.
202- I love the little shops in cities like that.
206- French three not on the list? I hate when they bump off classes. Like Psyc/Soc got bumped off of mine, and a friend was missing Spanish three. Bleah, school. How about bumping off something useless, like PE or [in my case] Junior Research/Communication. Moste idiotic class yet. But at least we can use the computers.
Shogun is about a Dutch ship with an English pilot that lands at Japan in the 1600’s. The pilot, Blackthorne, is concentrating on getting the hell out of Dodge, um, Japan, while various Japanese daimyos are trying to exploit his knowledge of the sea and the world in their perpetual war against each other. It’s smashing. As is the case with many of the things I read, it contains adult content.
My brother is hilarious. He has a delightfully twisted sense of humor. A couple years ago we went on vacation to the U.S. Virgin Islands. (Virtual handshakes to those who can see this coming.) For a while after we got back, he had this in his IM profile: “I once visited the Virgin Islands…..now, they are just ‘The Islands.'” I liked it so much I stole it. The phrase, I mean.
Unfortunately, I still haven’t got those pictures scanned into any computers. I want to do it at my dad’s office, but every time I go, I either: a. forget to bring them, or b. forget to scan them in. Don’t worry, though, by next year they shall be scanned in. Just kidding. I’m shooting for the end of the summer.
Yesterday I went to Cain Park to see a guy named Harry Manx play. He’s very good, I saw him two years ago at the very self-same place, and he was even better than I remembered. He’s a sort of fusion artist, he blends Indian music and blues together on his guitar, another guitar he made from a cigar box, two beer cans, and a broom handle, and this thing called a Mohan veena. He’s excellent.
I was in Algabre in 7th grade… I’m going into honors Geomatry this coming year…*glup* I’m nervous…
today i saw my first star wars movie ever. hurrah for me.
#207: Ouchness! Don’t worry; those things heal surprisingly fast.
I hav an appt w/ my counselor tomorrow to get my schedule straightened out. I’m going to be absolutely heartbroken if AP Bio and Chorale overlap (The former is a two hr block). But the chances of that aren’t that great…Right now I’m signed up for AP Stats, AP Lit, AP Bio, Spanish III, and Chorale. Whew.
207-That reminds me of the time a shovel fell on my toe. My toenail was black for about three months. I probably should have got a candle and a paperclip and relieved the pressure straight away, but I didn’t know about that then. That also reminds me of the time I was playing bocce, but that doesn’t seem as appropriate for this discussion. It’s just about me playing bocce.
I would really like to play bocce, except for the fact I have never seen anybody play it, and I just figured out what it was about a week ago. And now I am afraid to do so, in case I become injured.
209- Thee book sounds like a goode read. Ah, the hillarity. I went to the Virgin Islands a few years, ago, too. St. Thomas, mostly.
210- It’s not that bad. It’s just one of the few math classes that actually require studying. Proofs are really annoying though…
212- Goode luck with that. The school wouldn’t let me into AP Stats because I’m only going to be a junior. Hopefully, those classes will fit in your schedule…!
One time two of my fingers were shut in a car window by my oblivious mother. That was around the beginning of the past school year. They’re fine now.
(209) I never understood what was with all the settlers and their naming of things so…oddly. Very creepy. But that all sounds fabulous about the musician.
(210) MEMORIZE YOUR THEORUMS I took Geometry HOnors in 8th grade for half the year (then dropped back into Algebra hehe). If I leanred anything from that horrible class, it’s that you NEED to MEMORIZE your THEORUMS. Or perish in an eternal abyss of proofs. -falls over- I have to take the class in 9th grade now, boohoo….
I think we should have a Back to School sort of thread later in August…or maybe just a “What are you taking?” since a lot of the Musebloggers seem to be in middle or high school. I myself am taking:
Biology (I was three percent away fromg getting to take Honors of this class. >___> Very disapointing), Health/Careers (Some random wheel thing they make freshmen do. Sigh. ), P.E., Honors Language Arts, Geometry, annndd best of all Japanese! I can’t waiiitttt to take Japanese, I can improve my pitiful knowledge of the language. Plus, if there is any type of exchange program, my uncle said he’d pay for it because he’s awesome.
I have but a week of Summer Vacation left *sighs wistfully*
My little brother’s hand was slammed in a car door accidentally three times, twice by my mother, and once by myself. The first two times he had to go to the hospital because the tissue was damaged.
YOU CAN TAKE JAPANESE?!? *seethes in jealousy* That is so amazingly flamablamablous!
I know a little Japanese from reading various books. Konnichiwa is hello, Ikaga desu ka is how’re you doing, and Shimatta is I have made a mistake.
hah! the internet works!
hi from colorado. does aqnyone live here?
it is so hot here!
gapa appeciation day 2morrow!
only 2 prts this month? tsk tsk.
-hohoho- Yes we can, and believe me, I’m elated at the prospect of not taking Spanish for four years. I can read some katakana and I know snippits of things, but that’s it. Listening to Japanese songs all the time helps too.
Kiki (148),
I heard there was food, too.
The language I wish my school had was Arabic. I want to learn how to speak that after I become fluent in Spanish.
and WHY Is Otzi not in the “Who’s Here” List?
(198) Why, thank you, Jadestone! Just for that —
*blackberry pie zooms through the air*
Not a very original sort of pie, I admit, but I picked the berries and baked it myself, I’ll have you know. Not something I do very often. Luckily for you, this one was NOT encrusted with polymer clay and mica flakes.
Here would be an appropriate location for a headline I’ve just thought up: PIES BECOMING STALE COMEDIC PROPS. This is part of my tireless campaign to retire pies as the only food-related weapon. I’ve tried in the past to incorporate Twizzlers, rum, and other such things into the scene, but maybe I’ve been taking the wrong approach. I should take it slower. PErhaps something similar to pies would get this moving. Howsabout: squirting people with jelly doughnuts!
i knew not of your campaign, granto, but i heartily agree. perhaps you shout contack lg.
happy birthday phoenix!
Otzi (227),
Beats me. Have you been practicing disglamour again? Anyway, you’re on “Who’s Here” now. Welcoming committee..?
Who is Ig? I know not this name.
Well, so long, so long, so long to you my friends. Off to camp, won’t be back for a couple a days. BYE ALL!
#216: Eee! Glad they’re OK!

I think I’ll have to drop AP Lit.
It’s the same hr as Chorale, and of course, I’d rather hav Chorale.
No, I’m not dissappointed. (sp?)
In fact, I feel quite…liberated.
NO MORE READING P&P!!!
It was 105 today in TC…Supposedly, it hasn’t been this hot since 1916.
Hey everyone. I just got my computer back today. It was acting strange, so we gave it to one of my brother’s friends to get him to fix it. He told us there were about 10 virus’s on it, so I guess it’s a good thing we gave it to him. Anyway, I’ve been without a computer for almost 2 weeks, and I nearly went nutty. Not like that was a long journey.
So how have things been around the MB in my absence? It looks like all the people I know from the old days are gone on some sort of summer outing. *sigh* Summer generally leads to me being the only one of all my friends at home.
(235) Global Warming. That simple. It’s been getting really hot here, and it shouldn’t until at least August. That and we’ve been having freak storms.
