If you’re ever in a hopeless position and want to resign a game rather than continue playing, just hit the skull-and-crossbones button on the control bar. That’s what it’s for. It’s more polite than simply abandoning the game.

According to the chess software, fireh made her most recent (seventh) move on August 12. You responded on August 16. So it has been her turn to move for 11 weeks.
Ah. Eleven whole weeks?! Wow. I think she’s forgotten me…
I will also use this as an opportunity to call for Red-tailed HAWK. I haven’t seen him around for awhile, but it’s worth a try.

Well, I think you’d win with me- I don’t use stratagy at all, just trying to capture as many peices as possible- I think that you should find someone else, because I woud be 100% garunteed to lose with someone who can “play decently”.

Really, I don’t use strategy either, especially not with games on MB. It’s hard to remember strategy through multiple weeks. I don’t think I’ve played in months, either…
Basically, your playing level sounds about like mine. More or less. I guess I used a different meaning of ‘decently’ from you. I know how everything moves, and I think Dad tried to teach me all about how to play once. Years ago. I didn’t get much from it.
What I mean is that I have no idea whatsoever as to how to play chess. I was once involved in two games, and both of my opponets left. Keiffer- Sure!

My usual rule on MB is that the person who first requests a game gets the black pieces, and the person who agrees to play en gets the white ones. If it’s unclear, I flip a coin (or the equivalent). But I’ll let you pick your colors if both players agree.
I don’t really care, but I just like to go first in games.
I can go with black pieces. I usually like to go first, but it’ll be more convenient if all my games are the same color. If that makes any sense.

I’ve only played regular chess before. I did see a thread when I clicked that random button that had a ton of queens on either side. I think it was called Turbo Chess or something. Then there’s Capablanca Chess. I think.

I never really did understand Turbo or Capablanca. *ponder*.
Capablanca chess has extra pieces. Turbo Chess (found exclusively on MuseBlog) is played with kings, pawns, and queens.
