    Happy Winter!
We got snow yesterday. My brother and I played outside, and my family sledded with our next door neighbors and their little boy.

Wow! We actually have snow for the first day of winter here, though it’s rapidly melting. Well not rapidly, but it’ll be gone in about two or three days. Anyways,
    HAPPY WINTER!

We have snow here to! Yesterday I went out and made quite a few snow angels and also praised the snow demons. (Calvin and Hobbes)

Hmm…winter. Not my favorite season, although I do love being able to wear sweats and heavy sweatshirts ’round the house and cuddle up in layers of blankets during snowstorms. That’s always fun.

    • Beedle the Bard says:

How about Snuggies? I wanna wear a snuggie around the house. Because blankets just “slip and slide off”! Oh Snuggies… They’re so stupid. It’s alse called a backwards bathrobe.

Oh my gosh! We are so alike 8O

When I saw the Snuggies commercial, I had the exact same reaction! In fact my whole family thinks I’m crazy now because they all think Snuggies are a “good” idea… I mean, how ’bout the traditional blanket? What’s wrong with that? Last time I checked Snuggies and blankets are about the same thing…oh yeah, I forgot that blankets “slip and slide off” though… /sarcasm/

My friend got my other friend one for her birthday… You know they have Snuggies for dogs? It’s ridiculous. I love how they show people at a footbal game with them on. I would never be caught at a football game with a snuggie. Then agin I would never be caught at a football game…

Today I put my robe on backwards, to see what itWould be like to wear a snuggie, and believe it or not it ” slipped ans slid off”. If I wanted a blanket with sleeves I would cut armholes in a blanket then sew on the sleeves from a sweatshirt as well as a scarf to keep your neck warm

Winter! It’s not my favorite season, but it does bring snow!
It actually snowed here already, but it’s crumbly and dry and bad for snowman-making…

We have a Christmas tree, too! A real one, as opposed to the fake one we havebeen using for the past 10 years! (when I was little, I would cry when we had to throw out the dying Christmas trees)

My Christmas tree is so mismatched, but it has so many great memories. My favorite part about it is the bubble lights!

When I was younger, we were shopping for a Christmas tree and one almost fell on me! Luckily my older brother saved me! :)!

I love real trees! They smell so piney…and hmm, I never thought of the backward bathrobe idea! Good one! I shall stitch my own Snuggie thingie, only I shall call it…something better. And it shall be pretty!

Ah, winter. My family keeps the thermostat at 68 degrees the entire season, so I end up wearing a sweater inside. And then I get too hot and take it off…then I start freezing again. And I bring out my extra winter blankets so I don’t die of hypothermia in my sleep.

I think I used to be more cold resistant when I was littler, which led to me enjoying the season more. I will admit that snow is lovely to watch when you are safely inside and warm.

Yes, happy winter! I forgot it was the solstice, until dad said somehting about it. St. Lucia’s day too, is it not? We did the St. Lucia thing one year, just for fun. There are pictures of a very grumpy me and a very tired looking mom at whatever ungodly hour it was in the morning.

Snuggies. *snorts* I know not of this commercial you speak of, but I can imagine. (Actually, I’d rather not, but…..)
I would not, for the sake of safety, ear one of those things. I mean, what would happen if you snuggled up too close to the fire, or something? How could you move in the thing? The pictures I’ve seen are like a square sack with little holes for feet to protrude from. You couldn’t walk, you’d have to waddle. Eeew?
Maybe it’s just me, but I absolutely hate trying to walk and having my legs restricted. (I also have a long stride, so taking little steps makes me feel all unbalanced.)
    [/snuggies rant]

I love winter! Although it’s not very winter-y here…I wish I would rain on Christmas. Or something. As long as it’s not DRY I will be happy. The forecast says sunny….sigh

20- That does sound fun. Hauling wood from the basement to the xth floor doesn’t quite the same appeal *has been dodging the chore all week*

It was fairly cold and snowing- until yesterday, when everything melts and goes to march weather. MARCH! It isn’t even christmas. Anyway, we’re doing a holiday celebration today in homeroom, with cookies and exchanging presents. That the nice thing about the system: if the class behaves, it’s a sort of unwritten rule that you get your homeroom teacher’s last lesson (before Christmas) as time to celebrate instead. We begged another period of our latin teacher, since we’ll be visiting our Patenklasse (the little-sister thing) for a while in the first lesson, since there x-mas celebration is at the same time. And our last class would’ve been art, but since the teacher is on ski vacation, our subistute is my homeroom teacher again. 3 hours of party- Go *schoolname and teachernames*!

I always wondered why the MB time is always accurate for me, but other people always seem to be posting at 2 in the morning, then it hit me like an anvil. It brings me such joy to know that I could so very easily be stalking, ahem, VISITING Muse headquarters. That is the reason Chicago is awesome. Muse is here. *joy*
Another thing about Chicago: tourists seem to be thoroughly convinced that if you’re not downtown, you’re not in the city. What is the reason for this phenomenon? Tourists to our city, enlighten me!

I invented a new holiday called Winter Day. It falls on December 27. Here are some of the traditions:
    – Colors: dark green and white.
    – Decorate a pine tree with silver and white ornaments, with a fake bird on top.
    – To exchange presents within a family: One by one, each person goes to all the bedrooms, hiding presents. Then everyone goes to their room and opens presents.
I’m the only one celebrating it in my family, so I have to wait 2 days to get my presents.

I was once walking down my driveway in the snow (it is a very BIG driveway might I just add) and the school bus is right at the bottom. I start walking and I slip and fall. My books are everywhere and I’m freezing! I love the snow, but sometimes it can be very annoying!
