With a movie and the last book coming out this summer, people are bound to be talking about it all over the Web. Here’s MuseBlog’s contribution to the discussion.

Here’s my thoughts on why Snape is no longer loyal to Voldemort, and why Dumbledore believes he’ll never truly be loyal to Voldemort again. Also, some other theories/thoughts on other things in the book. If you don’t like to hear theories on things that are going to happen/have happend/whatever or haven’t read book six and don’t want it spoiled for you, do not read this.
Severus Snape was, at one point, a loyal Death Eater. According to Dumbledore, something happened to convince him never to again be loyal to Voldemort. Shorty afer Voldemort’s fall (after he murdered James and Lily) Dumbledore vouched for Snape having reformed and at aproximately the same time Snape became Potions Master. [In book five (around November) Snape says he has been teaching at Hogwarts for 14 years, and harry’s parents were murdered on Hallowe’en when he was 1 and he’s 15 in B5.] Snape was the one who heard part of the prophecy and told Voldemort. I believe I’ve finally realised why Dumbledore is so convinced that Snape has permanently severed all ties with the Dark Lord. He loved Lily Potter. True, in the memory Harry saw of his when he was hung upside down revealing his underwear, Snape did call Lily a Mudblood, but I believe this was because he was thoruoughly humiliated and embarassed by having been bested by James Potter –his rival for Lily’s attentions–in her presence. And her standing up for him–her pity–made it wore, which is why he insulted her. That’s also one of the reasons he hated James so much, not just because james h ad ridiculed him, but because James got Lily That also explains why he detests Harry so much–Harry’s a constant, living reminder that Lily loved and married James instead of him. And seeing Harry just reopens those old wounds. But despite his hatred of Harry, he can’t let Quirrel succeed in killing him, since his love for Lily (and perhaps his feeloing of owing james) makes him do it, since he knows Lily didn’t save her son from voldemort just to have him murdered 10 years later. His love for Lily is why Dumbledore knew he wouldn’t go back to supporting Voldemort. Snape feels completely responsible for Lily’s death since he reported the prophecy to voldemort. Of course, he didnt’ know that the prophecy would cause Volemort to kill Lily. If he had, I don’t think he would have relayed it. When he found out what happened, he realised that supporting Voldemort was bad and he reformed becoming loyal to the good side–and Dumbledore. This is quite likely why Snape is so loyal to Dumbledore–loyal enought to kill him. I imagine Lily’s death also contributed to why Snape is so horribly bitter.
I also think I might know why Snape went over to the Dark Side to begin with. As we learn in book six, Snape’s father is a Muggle, his mother, Eileen Prince, a witch. During Occlumency lessons, one of the snatches of Snape’s memories that Harry sees, is of a man, whose description is much like that previously given for Snape, yelling at a woman who is presumably Snape’s mother, while a young boy, Snape, is huddled in a corner crying. I th ink that perhpas Snape’s Muggle father was abusive and that’s why Snape disliked Muggles so much (he must’ve to’ve become a Death Eater) and thought of himself as a Half-Blood Prince. Not necessarily meaning Half-Blood as in half-magic (though he is) but as in he is half a Prince–the Prince blood only runs in one branch of his parentage.
Evidence that points to Harry being one of Voldemort’s Horcruxes:
1. His wand has a core of a phoenix feather taken form Fawkes, as does Voldemort’s wand
2. The Sorting Hat thought he would do good in Slytherin
3. He speaks Parseltongue, as does Voldemort
4. He looks much like young Tom Riddle (this is said when he’s confronting the diary Horcrux in B2)(perhaps they are also related?)
5. Harry can feel when Voldemort’s close by or feeling a powerful emotion
6. He saw Arthur Weasley being attacked through Nagini’s eyes and Nagini is a Horcrux
7. Voldemort is able to cause Harry to have dreams of the Department of Mysteries even when he is presumably not nearby
8. Harry sees things through Voldemort’s eyes
My original theory on how Voldemort’s piece of sould could be removed from Harry without him having to sacrifice his life:
Dementor’s such a person’s soul out in the Demntor’s Kiss. If Harry can get a Dementor to perform the kiss on him, mayhap it would take Voldemort’s 1/7 of a soul instead of harry’s soul.
Alternate theory (idea given to me by theories in a book entitled ‘Who killed Albus Dumbledore?’ edited by John Granger, the psycho who thinks HP is full of Christian morals and symbolisms):
Harry can walk through the veil in the Death Chamber in the Department of Mysteries. Since I’m not entirely sure Sirius was dead when he fell through the Veil, and it cause him to disappear (and presumably go to the land of the dead) if Harry walks through it, it could just take Voldmeort’s bit of soul instead of Harry’s soul, leaving Harry alive.
List of Horcruxes (Dumbledore believe there to only be six, as Voldemort would have divided his sould into seven pieces, one residing in his actual body):
Known and Destroyed:
1. Riddle’s diary
2. Slytherin’s Ring
Known (very strongly suspected):
3. Slytherin’s locket (taken and perhaps destroyed by RAB, who is quite likely Regulus Black, who died in 1979, the year before Harry was born. In book 5, when they were making Number 12, Grimmauld Place habitable (the Black family home) they mention a heavy gold locket that they couldn’t open. Quite possibly this is Slytherin’s locket, stashed at #12 by Regulus himself. (and, no, I did not catch on to this myself, I didn’t remeber there being a gold locket in #12, it was also mentioned in ‘Who killed Albus Dumbledore’))
4. Nagini
5. Hufflepuff’s cup
Unknown:
6. Dumbledore believe it to be something of Ravenclaw’s or onen of the other founders. I THINK IT IS HARRY POTTER (I’m also beginning to suspect that maybe, just maybe, Voldemort made more than 6 Horcruxes–but that he did not do so intentionally and that somehow when he tried to kill Harry he accidentally made him a Horcurs instead. So, there still might be something of Ravenclaw’s or one of the other founders’ out there that is also a Horcrus.)
Possible Horcruxes listed in ‘Who killed Albus Dumbledore’:
1. Voldemort’s wand
2. The Mirror of Erised
3. The cursed Opal necklace from Borgin and Burkes (I think somehow the person thought that opals are somehow attributed to some characteristic of Ravenclaw. I forget the reasoning and am too lazy to run downstairs and look it up.)
4. Harry, but I already suspected Harry before I read WKAB

luna- I like your theories. I especially like your analysis of Snape. I don’t think Harry and Voldemort are related, if they are then harry and neville and voldemort and neville must also be related.
Luna – Wow. I agree with the Snape loving Lily, and about the possible locket Horcrux – Since it was at the Black House, it’s quite possible that: a) it was thrown out, b)Kreacher hid it, or c) Mundugus stole it.
Luna- I’m not reading all of that, but I read the first paragraph, and it’s good. You should send that to Mugglenet or sompin.
I’m not allowed to read harry potter. Today in english, some people were talking about it.
3–I don’t think that if harry’s related to Voldemort that Neville has to be also. ‘Cause if harry is related to Voldemort, maybe that’s why voldemort chose to mark him as an equal instead of Neville–’cause he thought that Harry, being related to him, Voldemort, was more likely to be the one capable of defeating him.
However, I don’t really know if harry is related to Voldemort. That was just another reason that harry would resemble Riddle other than him being a Horcrux.
4–Yes, something probably did happen to the locket if it is the same one. However, if Kreacher took it, he most likely stashed it in his lair with all the other stuff he was keeping. Guess we’ll find out this summer, though…
I’m glad you all like my theories. I would tell ’em all to my family, but my mom hasn’t read the books, dad doesn’t remember enough of what’s happened to know if it makes sense, and my sister doesn’t remember lots of what’s happened AND doesn’t want to hear speculations on what’s going to happen. i was telling my Snape/Lily theory to my parents at dinner last night and dad just wasn’t particularly paying attention/interested and mom was just making cracks about Snape and lily sleeping together and Harry being Snape’s kid. mothers. They’re psycho.
Anyways, I don’t particularly have any other theories currently, but I’ll be sure to post them if I come up with anymore!

1- almost all of your theories can be proved wrong. here’s how:
1)harry is very connected to you-know-who because of voldemort attempting to kill him when he was small.
2)once again, because he is strongly connected to you-know-who.
3)some of voldemort’s abilities were transferred to harry when he tried to kill him. it is even mentioned in B2.
4)mere coincidence. besides, voldemort making harry a horcrux would not morph his features to make him look like the young Riddle.

7)voldemort is the world’s most accomplished leglimens, as shown throughout the series. he could easily get into harry’s head and cause him to have visions, especially when he’s asleep.

I think Harry could be a horcrux. The thing about part of voldemort being transferred to Harry is proof of that, not evidence against it.
I believe that Harry is a horcrux, and in the 7th book, he will die while killing Voldemort at the same time. Yup, that is my prediction. Okay, so maybe he won’t die necessarily, but oh well.

Wow, that theory is wonderful. I never even thought of that possibility. I think that sirius is not dead because in the 5th book when he fell throught the curtain lupin didn’t much care. He told harry to just run on and leave him. ALSO the weasleys, tonk, lupin and the rest of the OOTP didn’t have a memorial or anything, they just went on with their lives. He might come back just i ndog form, or harry will go through the curtain to save him. I think harry will sacrifice his life (cuz he’s a horcrux) to save the wizarding world.

I have a theory. Did anyone catch the part in book six about the phoenix rising from Dumbledoore’s grave, and the grave turning white? I’m not sure if that’s exactly correct because my mom has my book because I reread it too many times. But anyways, I think Dumbledoore comes back as a phoenix.

Dumbledore is defenitely (definetely? definetly? oh well) dead, according to JKR. BUT what about his picture? All the headmasters get pictures of themselves in the headmaster office. So wouldn’t having a picture of Dumbledore be as good as the real thing, as far as advice to Harry goes?

In my opinion, Harry is the last horcrux. If Voldemort kills him (which he inevitibly will) then Voldemort will die because he, without knowing it, killed the last part of him.self

I think that Malfoy will either die, or join forces with the order. It was weird in the sixth book, you could see his side. Under pressure from Voldemort, and looking good to the Eaters, it was important for him to succed.

Yeah I think dear old Draco is #1 on the going to die list. But I think he’s going to die a hero, at least. He was close at the end of book 6 to turning good.
Draco should sacrifice his life to save harry…. that’d be an odd twist.

Did J K Rowling ever tell us where Dumbledore went in book 5? I think Harry will die, and unless he dies in a very sad, drawn out, touching, way i’ll be happy. I am also very fed up with people inventing strange couples that will get together in HP7. I think that she’ isn’t that good at the romance part of the novels and should just give it up. I think harry will go through the veil, and save Sirius or Sirius will come back in dog form. Did you notice that the radio station SIRIUS has a dog as their icon. Sorry, that was random. Wormtail is going to help Harry, because they have a sort of “bond” the way Harry saved his life in the Shrieking Shack. Possibly. On the other hand, he might not.

Ok, just to let everyone know, my new official name on the Muse Blog will be PsychoBoy (faithful sidekick of WeirdoMan), and for this particular thread, I shall be known as Hedwig. Now, onto the information.
First, Harry could not be a horcrux, because Voldemort would have to kill Harry, then place part of his soul in Harry’s body. PEOPLE – VOLDEMORT NEVER KILLED HARRY!!! Second, even if Harry was a horcrux, then Dumbledore wouldn’t even let him come to Hogwarts.
#9: There aren’t as many instances of Harry truly seeing through Voldemort’s eyes as I thought, but it has happened:
1. Book 4, Chapter 1. Harry dreams about the death of Frank Bryce, the gardener at the Riddle Housse in Little Hangleton. He hears Voldemort talking to Wormtail about murdering Bertha Jorkins in Albania and how he intends to kill Harry Potter this coming school year. True, in this case he’s not actally seeing things through Voldemort’s eyes, he’s still seeing things involving Voldemort, which voldemort certainly wouldn’t want him seeing.
2. Book 4, Chapter 29, Pg. 576-577 (US version); Pg. 500-501 (UK version). harry is not precisely seeing things through Voldemort’s eyes, but he is seeing a real vision of Voldemort that Voldemort would not necessarily want him to see.
3. Book 5, Chapter 26, Pg. 584-586 (US version); Pg. 515-516 (UK version). Harry is Voldemort in this vision.
4. Book 5, Chapter 31, Pg. 727-728 (US version); Pg. 640-642 (UK version). In his fake vision of Sirius in the Hall of Prophecies in the Department of Mysteries harry once again is Voldemort. Not sure if this counts as it’s a fake vision and not really happening…
And as I said, I believe the reason that a connection was forged between Harry and Voldemort when Voldemort faile to kill Harry, is ’cause Harry was made an Horcrux. Truthfully, I hope I’m wrong, ’cause it is very likely that if Harry is a Horcrux, he will die in B7, and that would be sad.
23: Yeah, I’ve read B2 many, many times. And Dumbledore saying Voldmeort put a bit of himself in Harry when he failed to kill him, supports what I’m saying. THE BIT OF HIMSELF IS A PIECE OF HIS SOUL!!!!!! And even if Voldemort knows Harry’s a Horcrux, he’s still likely to want to kill him, since Harry (perhaps ’cause he is a Horcrux) has the “…power to vanquish the Dark Lord…” So, he would rather destroy a piece of his sould than risk having Harry completely defeat him. he would be sacrificing a bit of himself for the greater good (or I suppose, I ought to say for the greater evil
)
I don’t know whether or not Harry actually is related to Voldemort, that was just a very unsupported (probably unlikely) reason that Harry resembles voldemort (other than him being a Horcrux). And that part about Voldemort being the last remaining ancestor of Slytherin, i still wonder, was that really a typo, or did JKR really mean he was the last remaining ancestor? Or did she mean, as it’s printed in later editions, that voldemort is the last remaining descendant…
But even if voldemort is the last remaining descendant (ancestor just doesn’t quite make sense) of Slytherin, harry could still be related to him. I think if Harry is related, he’s related on Tom Riddle’s side (Voldemort’s father). If Harry is indeed related, he is the grandchild of Tom Riddle Sr.
As Dumbledore is really and truly dead, I’m leaning towards maybe the phoenix rising from his grave was Fawkes (or Dumbledore’s patronus, and he is dead but hadn’t died yet????). Or perchance a ghost??? i haven’t read that part of B6 recently, so I’m not sure on any of that.
51: I don’t know that Harry would be able to tell if he’s a Horcrux. Though, if he looks back on things that have happened to him (see my list of indications of HP being a Horcrux) he might come to the same conclusion (and undeniably if he is a HOrcrux, somebody will come to that conclusion). Also, since voldemort has killed and thus ripped his soul so many times, he probably is unable to feel the fragments that reside in various Horcruxes anymore, so he likely wouldn’t have noticed if Harry intended up containing a piece of his soul (assuming he didn’t intend to make Harry a Horcrux).
54:Dumbledore clearly says that Voldemort only planned to make 6 Horcruxes. so, either he knows about Harry or has 7 horcruxes instead.
56 Voldmort would not’ve had to’ve killed Harry to make him a Horcrux. he just has to kill somebody in order to rip off a piece of his soul, and then he can place it in any object. I don’t think he killed the locket to deposit a piece of his soul in it, or that he killed the other inanimate objects. I realise you are probably thinking that harry cannot hold both his soul and part of Voldemort’s but I think he probably can. Also, Dumbledore may not have realised that Harry was a Horcrux. And if he did know this all the way back in B1, he probably would’ve still let Harry coome, so that he could protect Harry in order for Harry to fulfill his destiny of defeating Voldemort!

His bit of soul would be in nagini, a snake, so he’s still alive.

I hope Sirius comes back, but I’m afraid that he probably won’t. But since I don’t think he was actually dead when he fell through teh veil (Bellatrix Lestrange had been stunning him, but it doesn’t specify which spell was used that caused him to fall over backwards. If i was another stunning spell, he probably wasn’t’ dead when he fell through.) it is possible he will somehow make it back to the pages of harry potter alive. Book 6 is my favorite so far, followed by 4.
It would be cool if Sirius came back, but I think it’s not going to happen. However, JKR said that the mirror that Sirius gave him will come into play, although he broke it, so I don’t know quite how that will work. (reparo spell, maybe? Spellotape?)
It would be absolutely heartbreaking if Hagrid dies, and unlikely since he’s got giant blood, but he does seem like a good candidate, doesn’t he?
And it would be verrrrry awesome dramatically speaking if Harry was a Horcrux; he would have to sacrfice himself for everyone else. However, the epilogue would be wierd if Harry wasn’t there/was damaged (soul-wise) somehow. Hm.

Did it ever occur to anyone that in Spinner’s End, Snape was not there? It was Dumbledore impersonating Snape. This may sound crazy, but it’s plausible. Read the chapter thinking that Snape is Dumbledore and you’ll see that none of the things Snape says are things he would actually say. It’s Dumbledore.

86: I don’t think that Harry would necessarily know he was a Horcrux, but all the clues point to it. He just hasn’t realised the reason that he’s so connected to Voldemort. And since Harry has an intact soul, and if he is a Horcrux, would only have a little itty bit of Voldemort’s soul, it wouldn’t have that much effect on his personality.

Some people in my grade think that Voldemort will kill Harry, and then Neville will kill Voldemort. Possible, but unlikely. I think that it is very likely that Harry is a Horcrux. But why would Voldemort want to kill him then?? I guess that it’s possible Dumbledore was Snape at Spinner’s End (does that make sense), but the book said that Snape ‘looked at Dumledore, and there was revulsion and hatred…in the harsh lines of his face.’ I don’t know.

Okay, my friend and I think that yes, sadly, Dumbledore is dead. Even if falling off the tower didn’t kill him, he was directly hit by avada kedavara. However, now his picture is probably hanging with all the other past headmasters and mistresses, so he can still talk to the people. Kind of.
Also, I think that Snape isn’t really evil. I think he’s just having trouble going from a death eater to a umm… non death eater, I guess. Like, when he was looking at Dumbledore with “revulsion and hatred” or something like that, it could have been just because he was upset about what he had to do. Snape’s only real problem is that he isn’t loyal to either side, and probably has vows to both sides. This is completly random, but I think that in Deatly Hallows he’ll look like a bad guy until the end, where he’ll do something heroic.

OK, I have a theory about R.A.B.
Here’s what we know about him or her:
1. He or she was a good witch/wizard with some knowledge of Voldemort and dark magic in general
2. The cause of his/her death was magical (probably caused by the potion)
3. (and a lot of people seem to have forgotten this) he/she would have needed an underage wizard to assist him/her or else he/she would not have been able to retrieve the horcrux.(see HBP-bk6, chp, the cave)
Now, everyone seems to be convinced that it is Regulus Black. I’m sorry, but that is just so obviously obvious that it can’t happen. That would just be uncool.
What do we know about Luna Lovegood’s mother?
1. She was, according to Luna, a ‘clever witch’ who liked experimenting. She was probably a pureblood or at least a half blood, who knew about magic and the magical world.
2. She died when one of her experiments went ‘horribly wrong’ we don’t know the details.
3. she’s Luna’s mother. (hinthint) and Luna was with her when she died.

I know this seems fabulously far-fetched, but I am in love with this theory, and I don’t think it altogether unlikely. Luna is one of my favorite characters, but so far she hasn’t really been of that much importance. We didn’t really see her tha much in book six, so maybe she’ll make this HUGE comeback in book seven.

Ginny and Harry broke up at the end of book 6. He said that she was in too much danger of being killed by LV if she was dating him. 135: Read the Heralds of Valdemar books by Mercedes Lackey. The main character dies in at least two of the trilogies/stand alone books.
The locket could have been in the cave BEFORE Regulus died in 1979. In ‘Who Killed Albus Dumbledore’ by John Granger, there is the theory that Voldemort had Regulus and somebody else place the locket in the cave for him (they were probably not told it was a Horcrux, but it says that Regululs somehow discovered this, and switched lockets, and the locket in the cave has been a fake one all along, and that the locket in Grimmauld’s place is the Horcrux) Sorry, Hotstuff, that book (and me after reading the book) had already come to that conclusion about the locket. I mentioned it sometime on this thread too…
And my mom thinks that JKR cannot make Harry have to sacrifice himself to kill voldemort ’cause mom thinks that if Harry killed himself, it would make some people think it’s okay to commit suicide. I told her I didn’t think an ybody was that crazy, but s’pose it’s possible….

I hate the movies. They’re nothing like the books and nothing looks how I imagined it. My bf and I have decided not to watch any more of the movies.
I agree with you. the movies do in now way compare to the books. i just thought other people would like to talk about it.
Yeah, the movies were not-so-hot (Unless you count Daniel Radcliffe, who was very hot
). They cut out parts that were important and left in ones that weren’t. But I’ll still probably go and see it anyhow, just to continue the tradition. 
I liked The Prisoner of Azkaban. The “Something Wicked” chorus at the beginning was worth the price of the whole movie.

Okay, I have a new Dumbledore theory. I still agree that he is dead, but at the very end, when he had drunk the potion and was about to be killed, he didn’t really sound like himself. I mean, pleading with Snape? Please.
So what if someone was taking his place that night, via Polyjuice potion? I think that if that were true, the most logical choice would be Narcissa Malfoy. She would sacrifice herself to make sure that Draco succeeded in his task. Whether Snape knew or not, I don’t know, but anyways that’s just a new theory to throw out there.
175- No. He was pleading with snape, because he wanted snaped to kill him because somehow he knew about the unbreakable vow. Snape didn’t want to kill him, he was hesitant, so Dumbledore was pleading for him to just get it over with.

ok, so y’know how rowling stressed the whole nonverbal spell thing throughout the whole book? well, mom’s theory is that, rite b4 he “killed” dumbledore, he pushed him out of the way of the curse, because, well, all the other victims DID NOT GET THROWN BACKWARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! mwahhahahahahahaha! i think that might be signifigant, but not that snape tried to save dumbledore. who probably would of died anyway, a fall like that…
MY theory:
Snape DID kill Dumbledore. However, he did it because, despite Dumbledores unfailing “trust” in him, he never got the Defense Against the Dark Arts position before that year. He also felt that Dumbledore, knowing about Voldemort’s one-year curse on the Defense position, only gave it to him to get rid of him. He suspected all this way back in the summer, which was why he was so willing to make the unbreakable vow. I believe he secretly hoped that Draco would turn chicken and HE would get to kill Dumbledore. Of course, it would also win him big points with Voldemort, and sastisfy the trust of those less willing to believe his loyalty.
Dumbledore was blown back by the curse, however. Some might use this as “evidence” against the whole Snape-murdered-Dumbledore thing, but I think it was just because Dumbledore, who was still weak both mentally and physically after his ordeal with the potion, was sort of insane in his last hour and thought there might be a chance of stopping the curse. Remember that Dumbledore is an incredibly powerful wizard and could probably use his wand without touching it with no problems. The curse hit the barrier, shoved it (and, therefore, him) off the battlements, and pierced the barrier and killed him before he hit the ground.
Finally, the spell Dumbledore had placed on Harry to prevent his intervention broke after Dumbledore died, which wouldn’t have happened if Dumbledore had survived BOTH the curse AND the fall.
Luna- very nice. I like it. Except I personnally don’t think that Snape and Dumbledore were in on Dumbledore’s murder like you suggested.
Of course, I could be wrong. Don’t mind me- what I really want (even though it is totally unlikely) is for Harry to kill Voldemort and Voldemort, with his dieing breath, to kill Harry. Then, once they are both dead, Draco Malfoy will sweep in for a dramatic victory over the wizarding world, aided by Dementors, Werewolfs, Vampires, Goblins, Giants, and other such nasty creatures, flanked by Snape and his father, then proceed to use Hogwarts as his base for his grandoise takeover of the entire world. As I said, very unlikely. Unless Rowling is totally insane.

Alan Rickman has an amazing portrayal of Snape, but he is not very close to the book’s. I mean Snape is supposed to be thirty something and AR is like 60.

Harry isn’t a horcrux. He would be CONTROLLED by Voldemort if he was. We know he isn’t controlled by Voldemort or he would have become a Death Eater or died. I wonder what you will say when I confess that I have been curious about the behavior of the snake, Nagini?'” And, yet again, I quote Dumbledore: ” ‘As we know, he [Lord Voldemort} failed. That’s Dumbledore’s reasoning for suspecting Nagini, and that’s a lot more evidence (when you examine it closely), than the most absurd ‘Harry is a Horcrux’ theories. Since when does Lord Voldemort have complete control over harry?

I do think Dumbledore died, there is just so much evidence. Fawks, the spread eagle, Harry’s curse being lifted, it all fits. I dunno who is going to die, but Snape is good. He has to be! When Dumbledore was calling for Snape in the tower it was because he knew that Snape was bound by the Unbreakable Vow to kill him, and Dumbledore, always thinking of others, would rather be killed and have the most valuable member of the Order of the Phoenix (Snape, because he is in Voldemorts inner circle) live.

Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix
What it’s about: We’re not sure. An Internet search on this “Harry Potter” character yields very little information. Is he an alien or something? We’re a little stumped.
Why it might be worth seeing in theaters: Again, we’re not sure. The trailer makes this look like some sort of Dragonheart sequel, but there’s no sign of Sean Connery.
Why you’re probably better off waiting for the DVD: You might have no other choice. There’s a good chance that this obscure indie could come and go from theaters in a flash, if it plays in your city at all.
Possible special feature: We did discover that it’s based on a book by someone named J.K. Rowling. Maybe he could provide and audio commentary or something.
Don’t waste your time with Harry Potter. Read something decent instead, like the Prose Edda. The HP movies are embarassingly bad, and the books are like Bruckheimer movies: appeal to the masses, but aren’t very good.
Everyone has their own taste in literature, and I like Harry Potter because of the imagination it represents. It’s like chocolate chip cookies: Good, but not necesarily healthy. Something you only eat once in a while.
