  1. Ah, I love all my pets. They’re so lovely, especially the chickens. And we might get some chicks from a hatchery online…
    FIRST POST!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

    1. Chickens! Somebody else owns them? I love ours, even though they are idiotic! I wanted to name one Colonel Sanders, but my mom was against it for some odd reason. We ended up naming them Baboon, Michaella the Headless, and Rosa Sharn. (Babs, Molly and Rosie for short.)

      1. Aren’t they wonderful? Our flock is dwindling, one of ours actually just died yesterday… :( We just have one left now, Priscilla. She’s a little skittish, but she has a nice personality. Now, off to go bother my mom about those little chickies…

  2. 3- They were doing that in NC, too!

I have a dog. Her name’s Junebug, and she is the cutest thing in the entire world. In my opinion, anyway.

  3. 2- My mouse used to be an escape artist. (This is Chai. I’ve posted about her before. I keep meaning to send in pictures.) Then I started feeding her way more than I was, and she got fat enough that she can’t escape any more.

  4. My family’s previous pets include my ferret, Bandit, my sister’s parakeet, Luna, and a rat (we only had him for a while :( ), Milo.

We’ve also had a lot of fish. My first pet was a goldfish, Amy, and she lived for 4 years, which was surprising. It was kind of funny because I would come home and she’d be floating belly-up at the top of the bowl, so I’d reach in and tickle her and she’d flip over and start swimming again. A fish who could play dead XD

We have a lot of outdoor friends too–we used to have a pair of nesting mute swans on the lake, and they recognized us and would eat bread from our hands. I even (VERY CAREFULLY) stroked the male’s back once (I DO NOT ACTUALLY RECOMMEND DOING THIS THEY ARE VERY BIG AND STRONG). We also have a lot of fish in the lake who are not bets, but we catch-and-release them all the time. I know maybe a pair of orioles in the yard by sight, and in general a lot of the birds around here.

I love animals. I wish I wasn’t allergic to everything with fur or feathers D:

I am thinking about getting a snake or lizard for a pet, though. I’m leaning towards snake, because although I’d love to own an iguana (what I’d prefer if I were to have a lizard) but those can be really hard to take care of and keep their habitat right. But I do love snakes, although it’d have to be a smallish one as keeping large pythons is both irresponsible and can be potentially dangerous.

  5. Once upon a time, I had a hermit crab named Sebastian….
he died within a year, but hermit crabs don’t necessarily have a long life span so…yup.

    1. I used to have a hermit crab as well…Two, actually. They died within two weeks I believe. :? My only memory of them is the funeral my friend and I held. My friend had an issue with mixing up her b’s and p’s (this was in like first grade) so on the obituary she wrote, “Shermie [yep, best name ever! ] was a good hermit crap…May he go to crap heaven.” XD

    1. Well that’s kind of obvious. :D

Me? I love domestic cats. I have two at home, although one is *coughnotthatsmartcough*. They’re also much easier to take care of than dogs. Just sayin’.

  6. I’ve got two kittehs whom I love dearly. One is named Sophie O’Shea and she is a brat but incredibly sweet sometimes. The other one is Shadow; I never see her though because of an overdose/underdose of anesthesia that we suspect she had while being spayed. :( She’s very nervous now. A guinea pig named Einstein (for a tuft of white hair on his head) makes up the three pets I have, although my mom is really the one who looks after him.
I’ll see if I can send in any pictures!

  7. I have two dogs and a cat. The oldest dog is a 6 year old yellow lab/Chinook mix who is very…..food oriented. I also have a 2 year old Carin terrier/toy poodle who is a bit of a total brat but is very smart. And cute. My cat is named Sir Ginger the Fearless. He was a foster kitten, but no body wanted him (how is that even possible?!)so we ended up adopting him. He is a real sweetie.

  9. Aww! My duckies are playing in the sprinkler. :3 They’re drinking from it and taking a shower.
I read an article about a study conducted about whether ducks liked showers or baths better; the preferred showers.
Ducky, maybe you should leave a sprinkler out for yours. :)

  10. We went to Baxter State Park and caught a ton of frogs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! …I’m sorry, I have a bit of a obsession with frogs…. We let them go about 5 minutes after we caught them, of course, but I still think of them as my pets… Here is a list of all the frogs we caught.(Along with a leech and a newt.)
Prince-leopard spotted. Rocket-green with a small tail. Humpty Dumpty-green. Newphie-Brown newt with red spots on back and yellow underbelly.ADORABLE!!!! Cricket-Green. Chameleon-green. Stanley-green. Mr. Sitsy-green. DAY TWO Squirm-Worm-Green speckled with lighter green. Lily-Green speckled with a small tail. Gilroy-Dark Green Bullfrog. Amazon-mini green and silver leopard spotted frog. We call this type of frog”Katahdin frog”. Killer-Small Green Bullfrog. Sweetheart-Small Katahdin frog. Edwort Pickles-light green. Lazybones- Extremely Fat bullfrog. Teeny- Small green frog with a few large speckles. Looked light some bizarre Katahdin-Regular frog hybrid. Hicupp-green. Georgie-small, semi-bullbrog. Then we caught 20 frogs, one after another, at a different frogging spot. We didn’t bother to name them, because they all looked alike (Except for one, who had a tail.) So… Yeah, we caught a lot of frogs. I view each and every one as my pet. 20 frogpoints to anyone who actually read all of the frogs’ names.

    1. Oh, I love catching frogs! It’s earned me many strange looks from a wide variety of people, but it’s a lot of fun. They’re cool. :D
