Same here… I’m thinking that I wouldn’t like it… I’m sorta bad at small talk, and I’d be afraid about awkward silences…
Awkward silences aren’t worth being afraid of. They’re simply part of life — and a very short part of it at that (they only seem long). Anyway, from what I’ve heard and experienced, the awkward silences at kokons evaporate almost before you have time to notice whether they exist.
Lady Bunniful, you are so eloquent! Now that I’m thinking about it, everyone here has so much in common, we’d probably never stop talking.

awkward silences are not a thing! i mean maybe a bit at the beginning but barely two minutes after i met grant irl i was off on an hour-long car ride with him and we talked almost the entire time
wow…now that i write that out it sounds -really- sketchy. oh well, i’m not dead
I usually only fill awkward silences one way: obsess over Star Trek. Which at the very least leads to an argument over whether pointy ears are hot or not and occasionally
gets me a new recruit for my army of fangirlsleads to an interesting conversation.haha in my case that would be a very short conversation

Cute kitty! However, with “Schrodinger’s cat is dead” T-shirt, vaguely creepy kitty. Possibly zombified kitty. Especially as its eyes are green-flashing in the light and it’s reaching out a paw as if to grab and eat your brains. Actually, now I’m convinced that all pirates own zombie pets, such as zombie parrots, zombie cats, and zombie shipworms. (See, this is why I should be allowed on KoKons. More Musers should live in the Bay Area.)
