Em’s description:
I was going to send these awhile ago, but I never got around to it. The
first picture is from my trip to Germany, and there is a rather lengthy
story behind it.
*Ahem*
Long Long ago, when you weren’t even born, and we had to walk 2 miles
every day in the snow just to get to school,(Where did we live, anyway,
Alaska?) a lovely person named Paul Baker (You may have heard of him)
wrote an article for Muse Magazine on the subject of those lovely little
carvings in cathedrals on the roof bosses and miserychords and such. When
Em went to France and Germany this past winter holiday, she entered many a
cathedral and church, these being the major points of culture in Europe.
(Aside from beer and outdoor cafes, of course) Keeping in mind the afore
mentioned article, she spent most of her time staring at the ceiling.
(Tourists don’t really have enough time to request special tours of the
choir lofts) Finally, in Germany, (The people in Paris had much better
taste than this) she came across several green men (see aforementioned
article) and took some photos of them.
Yes, it is quite a lovely story, Isn’t it? The second picture is my
much-improved Hpb pic (You may remember the first one) and I threw it in
simply for kicks. Please show the lovely Green man to the MBers!
Otherwise, what was the point of me spending so long looking for it?
(Okay, so I had to go in the churches anyway)
Green men are cool.
Eee! Bunny! What’s his/her name? I adore rabbits.
Cool! Nice pictures, Em!
“But it’s just a cuuute li’l bunny raabbiit”…*chomp*
for some reason, that’s immediately what i thought of when i saw that pic.
my…my comment…WHERE IS IT?!?!?!?! RAAAAHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Psychedelic!
I’m offically scared. or scarred. Both.
Hahaha…that’s pretty sweet…
Nice Green Man! My friend said Germany had lots of dragons stuck with spears in their churches. he didn’t know who St. George was. Europe is awesome
*Tremble* *Shake* It’s terifying!
Green Man is cool, love the bunny… it looks like it’s suffered some horrible radiation accident.
(10) Or else is about to cause one.
Fun. Very Pwt-pwns of you.
The bunny looks like it took a bath in Kool-Aid.
Holy whoa the green man is cool-lookin. And a teensy bit freaky. no offense
HARGH-BLEH RADIATION PRIPYAT CHERNOBYL ARRRRGH!!
Paranoia. Gotta luv it. The pics rule, btw.
um. Yay?
The bunny’s name is… Valentino!
…
Hey, don’t look at me, I didn’t name him.
There’s a guy in The House of Windjammer named Valentino.
Yes, that’s what I think of when I hear hat name. I’m such a dork.
Ha ha! I like the bunny!
I heard my name mentioned.
Excellent green man. Lovely to see a German one, although he looks pretty much like the English ones. Must be from the same tribe.
Oh, and the bunny is delightful. One rarely sees a bunny quite so vehemently and uncompromisingly pink. It restores one’s faith in the world.
Even the real bunnies are starting to turn pink! Our plan is working splendidly!!!
ooh i like the pink rabit!
green man:OK.
pink bunny:SOOOOO photoshop. (if not, just something that distorted the color.
20- GAPAs, please zap this. No offense, R-TH, but your post just gives Bunnie- Haters another reason to hate us. a/green man
Oops, I meant aGreen Man/a
Darn, that should be
Oh, just zap all that bilge. *Pays fine in advance for popoing and quadruple posting*
Oh, thanks for the fore-thought. I hadn’t even thought of fining you.
I RESENT THE IMPLICATION THAT I USED PHOTOSHOP!!!!!!
If I had photoshop, I would do CG art.
Incidentally, no bunnies were harmed in the making of this picture. (I should hope not, since I believe it was taken on christmas) That means I didn’t use any spray paint.
24 – You betcha
29 – Then how did you get the bunny ( and most everything else ) pink? I was thinking you went to photoshop, and cranked up the magenta.
iPhoto.
Ha ha
I cranked up the saturation and the pink tint all of the way, saved, opened the pic up again and the settings had reset so i could do it again. It took a while.
31- Really? Interesting. Expect the reign of the forest-green ferrets next, people.
32 – Somehow I would like those better than hot-pink bunnies. Maybe cause they’re green
Interestingly enough, iPhoto only tints in pink and green. That’s what you had in mind, right?
I find it really amusing that there’s leaves comig out of his nostrils.
Love it!
Horrible thought – are HPBs pink because they eat flamingos? Has anyone seen them nibbling grass like regualar bunnies? Are we sure they’re vegetarian?
On the Summer Vacation thread, it’s been revealed that HPBs subsist on pie and editors.
36- They’re pink because they eat editors. See here.
w00t, that was a great article. people always give me funny looks at church now because i’m staring up at the ceiling looking in vain for carvings (no, it’s not a cathedral, but a girl can dream, huh?)
I am loving the HPB
Awesome Green Man! And speaking of vacation pics…I’ll have to send some stuff from England to the GAPA sometime.
very cool. I’ve always wanted to go to Germany.
37- Buts its possible that they could have some irregular tendencies. that could explain my missing pencils in my desk….. Add no.2 pencils to the list!
*shaking in boots* I see this thread is restored.
HBPs pwn!
I have a multi-phase plan for the bunnies taking over the world:
Phase I: Build a base at the North or South Pole.
Phase II: Build an army of bunnies and some transportation boats.
Phase III: Sail to each of the countries in the world.
Phase IV: Dig an underground tunnel to the capital in each capital.
Phase V: INVADE AND TAKE CONTROL!!!!
Oops, I mean the capital in each country.
Now that I have learned what HBPs eat, I have an addendum to my plan:
We cover every government official in the world with pies and pictures of magazine editors, THEN WE SET THE BUNNIES LOOSE!!!
An ambitious plan, but impractical. How do you expect to control an army of evil, ravenous hot pink bunnies? They’ll probably betray you once you take over the world.
46- Rascist! Not all bunnies are evil! Half aren’t!
47- But half are.
And as we all know, half of infinity is still infinity.
does that mean there are an infinity about of HPBs?
50- Apparently. *shudders*
