12-I SORT OF have a VAGUE idea of what you look like. I do for just about everybody here; I go by your personality. But when I see a picture I’m completely wrong.

I’m surprised the photographer got such a clear picture of them about to throw pie at the camera! WAIT!!! Emma’s May/June Muse was between them!!! If a pie fight had broken out, the magazine could have been pied too!!!

I should add that the photographer was Emma’s mother, who e-mailed me copies of the pictures and gave me permission to post them. MuseBlog doesn’t post photographs or other personal and/or potentially identifying information without parental permission. We’re old-fashioned that way.

(55) Apple is the only pie on the menu at the National Press Club. Apparently they were out of ice cream that day, too. The waiter told us proudly (and somewhat apologetically, as it had taken a while) that they had had to go “downstairs” to get it. We thanked him graciously, even though we hadn’t asked for ice cream, which was an encumbrance for our purposes.
What, not even apple and blackberry? What sort of pie shop is it?
I could live without the ice cream. The only true accompaniment to pie is custard. With lumps.
Obviously, that doesn’t apply to steak and kidney pie.
