For those of you just tuning in:
This was Alice’s idea, sort of a cross between RRRs and RPGs with a touch of epistolary novel. Here’s how she described it:
Everyone makes up one character (made up, mind you!) and we decide on plot, time, etc. just like usual. Then we start. It would be in the form of letters or e-mails, and we would say at the top of our post who the letter was to.
Everyone would have to read all of the posts, though, to prevent conflicting plot twists, but their character wouldn’t know about whatever the letter said unless it was addressed to them.
Get it?
If not, then phooey. That was hard to explain.
A note to everyone before joining: If you want to join, it is MANDATORY that you read the entire previous thread to understand what the story is about. Then, pick a character and introduce them into the story in a logical way.
Alice – what do you think we should say at the meeting? How are we to talk to Tutankhbastet, who is the equivalent of Saruman in LOTR? (at least that’s how I see him. Anyone agree?)
Cool! So here’s a quick summary, more for my own enjoyment than any necessity:
Tut is threatening to kill everyone in New York City. Rhoda and Luna are on their way to stop him.
Merle and Miriam are in Venice, where the Evil One is.
Dallas has been destroyed.
Everyone except the aforementioned five characters are in the underground Tree Home.
1- Wow, never thought of it that way. The letter form dulls my noticing any already-done plot twists, and PC’s writing style is very different from Tolkein’s. (What a revelation!) But he is, isn’t he? Tut wants us to reveal ourselves so that the Evil One can get rid of us, but I, at least, am already revealed. And you are already dead. Do those things mean we have the upper hand? I still don’t know what we’re going to say. But I am going to try to bring Tut back to the good side, which I do by concentrating REALLY hard.

4- merle isn’t birdwatcher. She didn’t know she could speak with birds until recently. It surprised her and startled her a bit. I mean, wouldn’t you be startled if a bird suddenly spoke to you? She walks on the winds through our world and others. I’d call her Windwalker but she’d rather be called Merle.
Yes we should plot and yes Tut is like Saruman. (did you know that “saurons” is a legitimate French congugation. I think it means we will know.)
5- Great! So Merle is Windwalker. I like that better anyway. I like the name Merle, too. Especially when paired with Linwood.
I want to go with rhoda and wgoever is ging with her to meet tut.
4-Lsyor has a minor Seeking power, though…she can find people according to a certain “invisible” signal they give off…each person has a different one…it’s kinda weird…but that’s how she ended up in the Void: she was trying to find Tut, and she found him, and tried to get to him, and couldn’t, because, little did she know, she was trying to go through a barrier…see?
7-I want to go, too! It would be the perfect plot twist for Tut to actually see Lsyor, and have a little flashback, of sorts, or something…anyway, can I/Lsyor go?
8- Alright. Then I think she’s an Empowered too. I would be perfectly happy if you guys came along. What do you think, PP?
Sure, whoever wants to. But we need to plan…What do you think we should do about this whole …problem…?

After he put the block on me last time, I figured out how to repel such traps, and I can just dissolve through them. We are evacuating NYC, but I’m not sure if we can get them all out in time. We must negociate with Tutankhbastet.

14- I think someone will have to write a letter to someone after the meeting, rather than during. We can play the whole thing out, and then someone can write a letter to someone else recounting the meeting and everything we did. Because it’d be ridiculous to write letters while we’re in the same room.
17- Maybe. How about on the next one you give us a summary and if it’s accurate then you can join. Though by the next one we’ll be even further in and side characters are less likely to be introduced, but whatever.

26 – Have you read the entire previous thread, and really understand what is going on? How do you know you are Empowered? How did you get Tutankhbastet’s letter? What letter did you get? Can you give a lot more information and show that you really understand what is going on? What is your relationship with the other characters?

I am helping the population of New York acheive the order necessary to get them all into the underground home. I will head to the Chryseler Building as soon as possible. We will try to discuss terms with Tut and Rhoda will try to turn him back to the good side. As Tut will do everything
wehe can to kill everyone in New York if we don’t reveal ourselves, we will endanger over a million lives if we stay under the Veil (Those of us that aren’t out from it already)30- We? Are you going to go over to the dark side now? *sigh*
So far as I see it, Tut is on the ‘wrong side’ and is trying to do something (blow up, maybe?) to NYC and is currently in the Chryseler Building. Rhoda is with him. The Empowered guys are trying to evacuate NYC through underground tunnels, and convert Tut back to the ‘good side’ to boot. Is that all right for a start?
32- Well, it’s okay, but there’s a lot more to it. For example, we have a bigger goal than converting Tut, and there are lots of different personalities, and lots of us are in different places. I think that if you’re wondering about something you can ask, and we can kind of guide your letters (correct, not dictate) for a while, until you get it fully. But you still need to have a really good way to introduce your character, and you all (you and agagabagabag, so far) need to give lots of back information.
Also, NYC is not going to be blown up. Foxfire (one of Tut’s minions – or is he a minion of the Evil One? Clarification, PC?) has surrounded the whole city in green flame, and I imagine that he’s just goping to burn the place up if we (the Empowered) don’t come out of the Veil, which is a magic thing that keeps us hidden from the Evil One until we use our powers. So far Rhoda (also known as Elderseventh, played by me) is the only one that has come out of the Veil.
Now go read the first several posts of the first thread until you know all the characters. Or is that being cruel?

34- I think as few Empowered as possible were coming, but really it depends on how much you want to come. If you don’t care much, stay away. If you care a lot, come, by all means.

*A NOTE TO EVERYONE WANTING TO JOIN*
This isn’t like an RRR, where you can just jump in anytime, etc. Every character plays a critical role in the story-line, so if you don’t introduce your character well, or understand everything, it will ruin the whole thing. So please, before joining, read the previous thread. Personally, I think it is essential to read the entire thing, but if you read a lot of it and think you’ve got it, you can give a summary and make sure you don’t miss anything. I don’t think any of us are trying to be mean here, but if you don’t know what’s going on and you jump in, everything could go haywire. You should know who all of the characters are, and what role they play (because you will be writing letters to them).
But I just got a new idea: If two new characters want to team up and write letters to each other, you can start a new sub-plot or something. But still, you need to understand what is going on.
Did that seem to mean? I didn’t mean it to…

For one thing, you, not being at the tree home, would not have received the letter to the Empowered, and would therefore not be coming to the Chrysler Building. We need to know who your correspondents are, where you come from, what is your background, etc. Same goes for you, Beavo. And you also need to read the previous thread.

I avoid Lsyor’s eyes, and don’t speak to her.

I spit at tut and say
“Oh, yes and you are so bloodthirsty for control over us that you want to destroy NYC just to get us.”
I wipe the saliva off. My eyes harden.
“That was a mistake, Duskwolf. I’ll take that as a no. What about the rest of you?”

“I already talked about it. Join me or everyone in New York dies. Including the people in the tunnels. Just because we can’t affect anything underground doesn’t mean we can’t collapse the tunnels from above ground.
And speaking of which, Luna, the Crystal is the very essence of earth. If it breaks, ground loses its ultimate protection, and the Empowered will no longer linger on Earth as ghosts, but be pulled to Otherlife like the rest of humanity.
I’ll give you one last chance. Will you join me?”
I break in, eyes glittering. “Tut, how could you?! I came to visit my friend, not my enemy! And that’s what you’ve become…my enemy.” I collapse in a fit of sobs, not being able to look at Tut.
I hesitate, and hope Tut isn’t just bluffing. “I . . . yes.”
Note: I AM NOT A TRAITOR! I am going to try to bring him down from the inside, because that’s the best way to go, if he isn’t bluffing. If he is bluffing, it’s still the best way to go. It’s also a good plot twist.
Oh, and whats more, everyone can think I’ve betrayed them, and there can be much accusation and drama while I try to convince them that I’m not trying to destroy them.
I turn on Rhoda. “*gasp* Rhoda, how could you?! I trusted you!”
I laugh at Tutankhbastet. “Oh, please, Tutankhbastet. You undersestimate the power of the Empowered. Evil has its powers, and so does good. All of nature has taken our side, and they are much stronger than you think. You cannot collapse the tunnels: magic protects them, and it is stonger than you could ever imagine. Now, almost the entire city of New York is in these tunnels, and they are being trained to fight evil. All you are doing is breeding a larger army – for your opponents. And you alone do not have the power to destroy the crystal. We have the lightning bugs currently working on repairs, but why would you want the Crystal destroyed? You would die as well. What is going on here?”

40-I don’t think you’re being mean, I understand what you and Alice are saying. I had a primative blog kind of like this thread and people kept coming in and saying “Hi! My name is George of the Jungle and I’m the master of flying zombie monkies” and join the story. It eventually became a completely random series of events.
I probably shouldn’t answer that, since I am the “betrayer”, even though I’m not.

Dangit, it did it again. I only have one more thing to say.
I’m reading all the new posts as the story progresses. I suggest every week or so I give a short summary of what’s happining from my standpoint and Alice & Friends can correct me if I’m wrong about something, but not dictate. Actually, it’s kind of fun trying to figure out what’s happining. It’s like reading a sequel without reading the first book.
I hesitate. For a moment, I seem about to speak to Lsyor, then I turn away.
“It is you who underestimate us, Moonchild. I may not have the power to destroy the Crystal alone, but I’m not alone. Three of the Eight Worlds have fallen under the sway of the Corrupt Empowered, and a fourth is heavily embattled. I lead only the advance force for the conquest of Earth. If we conquer four, we will be equal to the so-called Pure Empowered. But that point is moot, since Elderseventh is now on my side.
Ah, Nightwarrior. You’re too late. One of the most powerful in your ranks has come to see my point of view. Elderseventh! Repeat after me: I swear by the Hand of Set and Loki’s Flame that I will faithfully serve Tutankhbastet and the Evil One until my soul is extinguished.”
73- That, Beavo, is a sign that you don’t know this story very deeply. The whole thing has been written in letters.
I turn pale. “Swear? I have to swear? I – I – fine.
“I swear by the Hand of Set and Loki’s Flame that I will faithfully serve Tutankhbastet until my soul is extinguished.”
Note: It’s not an accident that I left out the Evil One.
“Rhoda, dont do it!”
(Rhoda winks at me if thats ok but noone else sees it other than me)
Suddenly there is a humongous bang and a burning smell.
I mutter “Edal, you have truly outdone yourself this time.”
(If Foxfire is inside a building near something electrical it just burst inrto flame probably because Edal shortcircuted the electricity in NYC through the computers.)
78- No offense, but I’m not the winking type. I’m trying to say it through my words, but no one has picked up on it yet, or if they have the haven’t said anything.
77-I know all the posts are written like characters writing letters to eachother, but I don’t get what you mean by agagbagbag and I writing letters if we’re not involved in the story yet. Do you mean we write letters as if we’re, say, someone in NYC wittnessing the events, or actually characters that only correspond with eachother, or….?

I look out the window to see that New York is no longer surrounded, due to the fact that Foxfire is dead, and let out an Egyptian curse.
“-what used to be inside Foxfire’s wall? It’s more difficult than what you’ve done previously, but you have more than enough power.”
I look at Rhoda for a moment, then comprehension dawns on my face…a little. “Well, I will not join you, Tutankhbastet, but I will not hurt you, either. Leave me out of this…I’m going home, where my friends are still my friends…I hope!” I begin to step into my mirror.
Note: I am speaking to Tut’s inner self, right now, the part that’s not evil.

Yes, you’re right. I was frightened when I heard that I would have to swear, but Tutankhbastet didn’t seem to notice that I failed to swear to obey the Evil One. I’m glad you’re here too.

“No, the city will be fine.” I turn to Nightwarrior and Duskwolf. “You may want to get people out of the deeper tunnels, though.”
A tattoo of a black hand with a golden flame in its palm appears on Elderseventh’s forehead.
I concentrate. It is very, very hard. As you watch, the view from the window shivers, and suddenly the building is upside down. I sit down heavily on the ceiling.
Right, is it time to go back to writing letters now?
Well, wait, I don’t think so, because we still don’t know the point of this whole exercise…
All right. I’m going to write a letter to my parents sometime, though, because I had to go even though they wouldn’t let me, and they’re bound to be worried.
Technicalities aren’t a very big part of this, but it’s implausible that they would let a fourteen-year-old girl go overseas with money sent by a total stranger, so naturally he had to run away. This is the note she left pinned on her pillow:
Dear Mom, Dad, and all the kids,
It’s very, very important that I go to America, much more important than you could comprehend. Therefore I am going, with or without your blessing. Don’t worry, I’m sure that I’ll be fine. I have friends there that will make sure no harm comes to me.

The windows are suddenly filled with a view of dirt and rocks. Rhoda, Luna and I are catapulted through the floor and out into a very strange place. It appears to be a cave with a high, domed ceiling, and clouds floating past the ceiling. The people who were in the underground tunnels are now sprawled on the floor. “Excellent, Elderseventh. If the Empowered can get out of that, I’ll begin to respect them. Let me explain what’s happened. In the meantime, we’re fleeing to the Sahara Desert.” I begin digging at the wall of the cave to make a tunnel. Immediately after I enter the tunnel, gravity seems to switch around, and I land on the ceiling. “Come, Elderseventh, Moonchild. There is now a massive dome of earth and rock encasing the buildings of New York City, and a huge cave below it, containing everything that used to be underground. Gravity has switched in both those places.
Now, I’ll tell you my plan…”
Suddenly a raven lands on the window — sill and cocks its head against the window. Only Hedge sees it and knows I’m listening.
93- To get to the windowsill, you’d have to fly through a hundred feet of compressed soil and rock.
92 – wait…but the evil people can’t collapse or do anything to the underground, so that’s not possible…
91- Luna, Tut, Hedge, and Rhoda are in the Chrysler Building. Lysor stepped into her mirror, so she’s who knows where. Everyone except the aforementioned and Miriam and Merle (who are in Venice) are underground, along with most of the population of New York. Luna and Rhoda are pretending to be bad.
I feel the letter form slipping away. Maybe Tut should finish with his plan, and then we’ll write some more letters.
95- But I can, and I am on the bad side now. (Or so Tut thinks.)
96- Well, if they were underground, they are now in the cave.

I send the fAZE letter to Hanjjvar with the raven and tell Hanjvar I am going under. I transform and tunnel through the dirt trying to find some sort of opening.

I sensed some presence of evil when I was walking past a small tourist shop. I went inside, and found a very creepy atmosphere. And cracking the Crystal wouldn’t kill me, because I have a corporeal body, and only disembodied spirits and ghosts (like Luna) will be sucked across to Otherlife. And I’m immortal, so I won’t become a ghost unless someone kills me, which is close to impossible now that I have two of the most potent Empowered on my side. Or so I think.

The Crystal is the moon. It was originally in the Earth’s crust, but Empowered from Planet X steered a planetesimal into Earth while it was still molten. The Crystal was blown out, along with a lot of debris, which eventually settled on the Crystal and cooled. The resulting celestial body began orbiting Earth, and the Empowered animated its rocky crust. If magic touches the Moon’s surface, the face (the man in the moon) will come to life. An Empowered can convince the face to reveal the Crystal. The crust will then crack and fall off, revealing a massive dodecahedral topaz. This is the Crystal.

I was shocked to discover that Rhoda had apparently turned evil. I have to stop now, as I have the feeling I’m being watched. Over.

I will right to Rhoda, as she may know of someone who is free. I realise that we are in a bad postion here though. The greatest danger may be here, but there are only two of us! In my last letter, I mentioned that no one else seemed to see the shop. Perhaps this means something? Since you have seen it too, maybe only empowered and those working for the evil one can see it? I’m afraid that I don’t really know what is going on in America or where ever else the empowered may be right now. I am assuming that we both recieve the letters sent to “All Empowered”, but there hasn’t been one in a long time. It is also possible that some have been lost somehow, as we don’t have the best of connections to the others. If we recieve no answer from Rhoda within a couple days, then we will plan our next move. Fighting Tut will not work. He has too much power, and many of the good Empowered are too unexperienced to survive. They, along with you, must be trained before any fighting can be done. And still, that is the last resort. We must use our powers of thought and logic to defeat them, not violence. We will not let him destroy the Crystal. I have been working on mending it during the past few days, and he has not even noticed. Since I am a ghost I can slip away occasionally unnoticed, and I have already manded a significant part of the crack in the Crystal. I have a stong connection with it, so that helps me fix it, and will give me strong powers when he tries to destroy it. Do not go to Ireland. Stay safe, in the underground tunnels in America. If you must, have the worms and other underground animals make you some caves and tunnels in Ireland, but do not go anywhere above ground. You will weaken the veil and be in much greater danger.

Tutankhbastet has just asked me to begin speaking to the moon. I have been speaking to it a lot lately – and it has seemed to be quite responsive. If all has gone as I have asked, the crack in the crystal is almost completely healed. There is no way Tutankhbastet can get to the crystal without me, and only me, opening up the moon for him. If I do not “succeed” in revealing the crystal, there is absolutely no way he can get it. He can’t blow it up or use any destructive force, because if the crystal is not revealed, there is nothing that can break the moon’s protective barrier. It will also be extremely difficult for him to destroy the crystal if there is no crack. Perhaps I will reveal the crystal when the crack is completely closed, then it will be almost impossible to destroy it. Then we can bring up the other Empowered, and destroy Tutankhbastet – or at least threaten to, because he would be one against at least 10 or so.

Tutankhbastet caught me healing the crystal, but I was in luck. I completely healed the crystal, and put a special charm on it so it is nearly impossible to break. He is probably going to try and find another way to destroy the Earth, so keep a good ear, and eye, out for his plans. I created a strong shield which is now draped over all the Empowered, and I am now in semi-hiding. I never made an oath with Tutankhbastet, so I am free to go, but I urge you to keep following in his poisonous footsteps. I don’t know what will happen if you break your oath, but I do not think it will be good.

Somehow, up here on the Moon, I have not tried to switch Tutankhbastet. Perhaps it is because he is well-protected, or perhaps there is some other reason, but whatever the reason, I have not yet tried. I am not sure that I can anymore, for the Moon is sapping my strength. I hope that we go back down soon, as it is, I don’t know what I would do if Tutankhbastet discovered that I was not truly on his side. I certainly wouldn’t be able to use my powers in this state. I couldn’t break my oath if I tried, even in a good situation, which this is not. It is very strong, despite the fact that I left out the Evil One. One bonus is this: Tutankhbastet cannot use my powers for evil.

How are we going to get out of this one? Someone should say whether or not it worked pretty soon. If it didn’t, I have ideas. If it did, I still have ideas.
So basically, something is very wrong with Luna, Rhoda is totally powerless against Tutankhbastet and about to be shattered into hundreds of ghosts of agony, the rest of the Empowered are clueless as to these desperate plights, and Tutankhbastet is gaining the upper hand in general. This is definitely more fun than anything that’s happened so far.
Is Luna’s problem because she disobeyed Tut? They’re slightly conflicting, my pain from resisting the oath, and her tiredness at disobeying Tut. Maybe it’s a different sort of spell. Perhaps Tut is trying to hinder her in whatever she would do in the service of the good?
I think it might be fun to go evil. But I don’t know. I wouldn’t want to be evil for very long if I was at all. But remember how you couldn’t switch Tutankhbastet? That reason might be the same reason why you can’t switch me, if you don’t want to switch me. I’ll let you decide whatever you want to do. If you want to switch me, just let me know when I’m switched, and I’ll switch. PraCan, what do you think?
I think we should go o the moon and have an epic battle, and I should push myself and (if its ok with PC) Tut into the crack. If Tut doesnt come with me he may turn bac cause he realises he just led a great person to their doom.
238- I don’t want to switch you. But it’s kind of a lose-lose situation. I can switch you, which will lead to the downfall of the Eight Worlds, and live (for a little while), or I could not switch you, and die, leading to the downfall of the Eight Worlds. Or I could fail to switch you, die in agony, the Empowered could go through a complicated ritual to bring me back to life or at least to the sort of life that Luna has.
Yeah. Well, I’m going to a party, so please don’t do anything crucial without me.
238- I think that you should switch, but before you do, warn the other Empowered. Elderseventh’s soul will shatter, and you will begin to crack the Crystal, but the rest of the Empowered will attack the Moon. A huge battle between Pure and Corrupt Empowered will ensue. Jewelhawk or some other healer will put Elderseventh’s soul back together, the faint remnant of good in me will telepathically order Elderseventh’s ghost to switch me back, and Moonchild and I will switch and heal the Crystal just as it is about to split in half.
Suspenseful climax, anyone?
Okay. I’ll switch, and before I do, I will tell the Empowered that I am doing so. Elderseventh will, essentially, die, but she will still be in the story, right? (I don’t want to make Alice leave the story, so maybe she can have some sort of being other than her soul. Oh! Maybe, the trees [I guess, Jewelhawk too?] collect her shattered soul and mend it, and Rhoda becomes a tree. Then, in that form, she can still do stuff. I don’t know. It depends on how soon and in what form Alice wants to be in the story. Alice?) So during the battle, I’ll be bad, but then just when Tut and I are going to crack the crystal, Elderseventh turns us back and we’re all happy. Then all we have to do is destroy the Evil One. Okay, I think I get it.

Right! I’d rather be a ghost than a tree, merely because a ghost is more mobile, but being a tree would be cool too. Maybe I can be made a ghost, but the trees put so much of them into me that I have several tree-ish traits. But maybe that’s too much. This is going to be so much fun . . . I think I’m going to enjoy dying. I can make it very dramatic. Wait, no I can’t. Someone else will have to make it dramatic for me, or at least convey a sense of drama, without dramatic wording, because I will be DEAD.

Oh, and I accidentally posted this on the Kokonvention thread, (at the end of a long-ish post), and I must have forgotten what thread I was on by then. Or something like that. But anyway, this is what I said:
“Oh, and by the way, I’m leaving for Mexico on the 20th and not coming back until July 4th…that’s 2 weeks. What is going to happen to the story then?”
251- Oooh, good point. Ouch. Two weeks is a long time to be without the story, but I don’t see what we can do but pause it. Or else we could just slow it waaaaay down, because Luna is an absolutely essential character, and we can’t do anything without her, really. I mean, the Empowered on earth can still do stuff, but it’ll be a lot slower since we can’t switch Luna till you’re back. Rubea and Miriam could find and heal Rhoda, I guess.
I asked Lsyor to take Merle, Miriam, and I to the moon. Has she done it, Shadowkat? Month 2.
Most everyone goes to Dallas, Tut goes bad. Miriam and Merle are in Venice.
Month 3.
Dallas is destroyed, we move to New York, we confer with Tut.
Month 4.
We go to the moon, those of us that do. I die, and Luna goes bad.
We need to wait for Purple Panda! This isn’t the way it should go! We’re speeding up now she’s gone, not slowing down! Argh no!

301- You have to have a last name, yes. How about Hedge Atwoods? And Edal Sparks. It works. But one thing this thing has is problems. For example, if the hospital is sending letters to Hedge, who is a thirteen-year-old orphan who lives in the woods, they must know about him, and one thing I’ve learned is that if a kid lives all alone and a grown-up knows about it, they aren’t too happy.
But I guess they don’t have to know that he’s a kid, or that he lives all alone.
Lsyor went back to X to save her own people…she might come back, someday, if the story’s not over, by then…right now, she’s preoccupied with way too much, doesn’t even know what’s going on, here, anymore (because she wasn’t on for a while), and is extremely sorry for the inconvenience. i have an idea and if you agree i want you to say that here. I think Hedge’s uncle should be a human Watcher like the ones in Marvel. He knows nearly eveything, and knows about the profecie and everything. But being a mere human, the burden of knowing so much has turned him partly mad though his mind is sane. He mumbles a lot.

Now, hold hands, and clear your mind of everything but the Moon.” She grabs Miriam’s hand, and the others join together. “Is everybody ready?” They nod, eyes closed. “Good…here we go!” Lsyor’s Mirror shows the Moon, and opens up to create a swirling vortex with the Silver Orb at the Center. Lsyor tugs on Miriam’s hand, and they all glide, ghost-like, through the Mirror. They are on the Moon.

I and Rubea have reconstucted Rhoda’s soul. She is now walking this moon again. However, I fear that Tutankhbaset may soon learn of her revival. I think that is in the interests of us all for you, me and Rhoda to walk in the other world for a short time. If Tutankhbaset is unaware of our exsistance, then we have the chance of a surprise attack. I am going to take us their now, so we can be safe for a while. We can return if we are desperatly needed. You cannot imagine how painful it is when your soul shatters. Such a deep pain! And it does not stop when your soul has shattered. It lingers on, though all consciousness has vanished. Do not swear an oath to Tutankhbastet! Speaking of the oath, I am unsure as to whether or not I am truly free of my dreadful binding promise. When I swore, I said that I would serve Tutankhbastet until my soul was extinguished. It was not extinguished; it was shattered. My present state does not show in mirrors, so I do not know whether the mark of my oath is still on my forehead.
But I cannot die again, and that in itself means a certain immunity to the oath. I do not think that I shall be controlled by Tutankhbastet anymore.

well hedges uncle is a reincarnation of Imhotep (egyptian god of wisdom, medicine and magic). He can see over the world and knows nearly everything. He was reincarnated to help the empowered but the combined power of all the dark secrets in the world have overpowered him since the wisdom of imhotep has binded itself to a human. Yay! Thanks for waiting everyone! I just got home, about half an hour ago, or sometime around then. And, as I have said on many other threads, I basically forgot how to use a computer, and am very shocked by civilization. Because I have been living in thatch-roof huts for almost a month, and, well, yeah..
So, I’ve read the thread, and thanks a million (times a zillion) for waiting for me! I guess we’re getting a new thread? I don’t think there is much for me to say right now, (Luna, I mean), so I’ll just re-read the thread a few times and think of something.

Unfortunately, lots of people are going on vacation, so the story will be rather slow for a while. Oh well.
I like the going slow idea rather than having someone else take over your character. So I guess we’ll just stay really really slow until September, and I guess hold off the new thread, too…unless this one gets really bogged down.

I don’t really care either way. I was just thinking about the same reasons people said earlier – that it would bring a bunch of new people, etc. And we don’t really want any new people, do we? Well, at least not right now, if we want to keep it slow-paced. But I don’t really mind whichever way the GAPAs/we decide.
348- No, we don’t want new people. That may be preventable by putting up several posts that are really the one rule reiterated several times. But that would be kind of mean, too.
I think that the only real reason to have a new thread is, this one is getting really off-topic. It’s been many many posts since anything of real import (save Purple Panda’s return) has happened.
Finally, we can move the story along again! So I am with Merle and Miriam on the moon. Oh, and we can still send letters because we pass notes to communicate, there not being air on the moon.

353- No you’re not. You’re from an alternate world. The Otherworld is more like a place where ghosts go.
I know it’s a style, but when people write in fragments like this: “hel[po you guys but I don’t know Ifg I can beca,” it really takes away from the story. If you don’t have super strong feelings about writing like that, you could get your point across that you’re going fast, or whatever you’re trying to imply by writing like that, another way relatively easily. It just makes it really hard to read, and it’s unprofessional (not that we’re trying to be professional or anything, it just really takes away from the story)
Also, Alice – If you’re editing the story, and I’m editing the story…do you want to work together? (Well, I guess not really, but we could confer and such)

Well I know I took a few people to the Moon, but now, since all this dying and destroying had happened…well…I’m more than a little confused.
Me, Rhoda and Merle are in the other world, where we are learning to use our powers. I’ll write an actual letter now! In the otherworld, we are together, but a bit apart, and we can’t really speak to each other, so we pass notes.

After much experimentation, I have discovered how to use my powers to their full. I always knew that I could get inside people’s minds and heal them a little with just the power of my mind, but I have found a more potent power. If I sing the right song, I can fully enter a being’s mind and do whatever I please with it. I can heal and sooth, but I also have powers that could be to our advantage. I can confuse minds, send beings to sleep, and even take full control of their bodies, and mark them permently with me essence, which controls their mind, even when I am not in them. This last takes much effort though, and I will only use it if it is truly needed. I am not alive physically any more, but I fear that it would kill my soul. I would not be able to return to any form of life, except a wind, or breeze. I will sing this song, however, if it is to defeat the evil one, or one of his minions, if destroying this evil while help the empowered and the world.

In the big climatic battle I will die forever. I want to. It doesn’t make sense for us all to come out alive. Maybe I will use it before the battle to destroy one of the evil one’s most powerful allies. How about, I confront Madspin, and destroy him. Oh! I’ve got it. Is it ok with everybody if Madspin comes to the other world, because he is the only corrupt empowered besides Luna who can do that, and tries to destroy us, because the evil one has tracked Rhoda? I defeat him, and soon the battle begins. Someone else defeats the main people.
Ok? If no one disagrees, we can describe it tommorow, before anyone else goes away. I’m not trying to make myself seem like a hero or anything by volunteering to die, I just really feel like dying. One of the more powerful empowered can defeat tut and the evil one.
I will now starve to death.

I was walking today when I saw a terrible sight. Madspin, the only corrupt empowered besides Luna who can walk the worlds has been sent by Tutankhbaset to destroy us! I believe he has tracked you. There is only one option left to us. I must enter his body and destroy him. However, I am afraid that this will completely destroy my soul. I will not see you again. Beware of Luna.

Hanjjvar wants attention. I therefore suggest he does something about his predicament and gets to know some Empowered, because the only person who knows about him is Hedge, who is in Egypt as a wolf. In fact, most everyone is in some far-away place, and no one but Hanjjvar is in New York. (Maybe Rubea, but I don’t think so.) Also, if you starve we will be forced to take you out of the story altogether, because you would have played no part. Soooooooooo . . . DO something! Use your power to escape! I don’t know! But you haven’t played a very big part, and very few people know about you.
Cinnamon Moon – did you want to stop being in the story? You seemed a bit excited… Maybe your death can be a bit more, well, not so abrupt.
372- Yeah. The thing about this story is it goes too fast. I mean, as soon as Koko du Pelle learned what his power was, John Smithsonian had a vision saying that Tutankhbastet was evil.

It pains me with every stroke of my pen as i write this, I am not supposed to interfere. But I feel that if I do not intervene there is no hope. You have an amazing strength inside you, as do I. You are even stronger than me as you can somewhat control that strength. You have all the strength of the anchient egyptian god, Wepwawet tucked inside you. Alas, I fear that the sheer strength of Wepwawet would destroy your human form forever if you tried to use it all. But i feel that you can help greatly in the destroying of the Evil one. I’ll decide whether or not to die in the end when some people have answered. I’d rather live, honestly, but if everyone decides to kill off their characters, it would be no good to have Rhoda standing at the edge of the battlefield, ghostly and not technically alive, but more alive than everyone else.

I hope against hope it will not come to that. If it does, then there is nothing to be done. I believe that all of us could kill ourselves with our powers, and you at least could accomplish a great deed with it. But in the meantime, be careful! Even here the Evil One can not be far away. Luna would know, were she still on our side.

384: I dont exactly want to die, but Hedge might have to. And Hedge if he did do that he would just become a sortof spirit, who could transform into a wolf form at times. He just wouldnt have a human body unless a body was made for him.

Okay, quick update. Miriam and Rhoda briefly talked about their powers being able to kill them, Hanjjvar got out from his underground prison, and Hedge’s uncle wrote him a letter saying that he (Hedge) had great power that could destroy the Evil One. We discussed dying, because it seems that Cinnamoon wants Miriam to die, and Hedgehogboy wants Hedge to die.

The bad news: The Empowered seem to be figuring out their abilities, even the ones I concealed from them. Stormwatcher has realized his ability to create golems. They seem to be rallying for a final assault. My Empowered will probably be able to defeat them, but we must take all precautions. I strongly recommend sending me Kanjal.
