Oh wonderful GAPAs
We know that you don’t wear toupees
You’re “four of a kind”
we won’t leave you behind
when we’re spreading our may-o-a-naise
Oh wonderful administrators
you deserve twenty million waiters
if only all your names
had letters the same
you could be called the RRRRs
My lovely poem.
Paul is the only GAPA whose name doesn’t start with an R!
*Gasp!*
We still love you!
8- is that an entry? read my post #7.
Oh how we adore thee
I’m using thee correctly, see!
For you are the ones who taught me!
hurray,hurray,hurray
Art, writing, books galore
you respond
when we want more
I hope moderating isn’t a chore

MBPIE: Ode in Seven Stanzas to the Administrators of the Blog
Once, long ago, in ages past,
Muse was little known or lauded:
Then R. Coontz thought of an idea,
Which is deservedly applauded.
He made a website, named it Muse-
fan-page-dot-com, and then he gave it
Parts like “Write” and “F-A-Qs,”
And “The GABOOMBA”, Which would save it
From the plague of boring-ness,
Of greater websites still the bane,
By giving Musers space, no less,
To write, and talk, and be insane.
But still, for better Coontz did itch,
He wanted “BIGGER! FASTER! NOW!”
And so he made a MuseBlog, which
Made poor old Guest-book seem a cow.
Soon Coontz’s brainchild grew quite tall,
And then grew wide, like an umbrella,
And Robert’s free time was too small,
To manage MuseBlog a cappella.
Rosanne was first to join the party,
Together “Q and A’s” they’d written,
Then Lasley, slightly crazed and arty,
And Baker the Elizabethan.
To write a poem on their talent
Would fill ten thousand threads and more,
So readers, to them, please be gallant,
And try to even up the score.
14- Ooh, very nice, Canix! I must write a poem myself sometime.
9- I wrote it before your comment was moderated. Naw, it’s not that great, so nope!
Great and powerful I may be.
But picking my fave? Woe is me!
Oh, wow. *showers GAPAs in appreciation and also pies*
Oooh, fun. I liked PC’s in 14, that was very good.
Here’s my song from last year, which I don’t think should count, as it refers only to Robert and Rosanne, but is still nice. I was going to write a new one actually, for all of them.
GAPA Appreciation Day Song
Oh great administrators
We thank you all a bunch
You’ve always been there for us
Even during lunch
You moderate our comments
Which must take a lot of time
So there’s no denying it
You’re really very kind
HAPPY G-A-P-A APPRECIATION DAY!!
You’ve led us through out troubles
You’ve helped us through out plights
You’ve got all the answers
Even the one to life (42)
You’ve taught us all so much
You’re knowledge is unmatched
You’ve given us so much,
So we’d like to give some back!
HAPPY G-A-P-A APPRECIATION DAY!!
You’re smart beyond reason
You’re wise beyond compare
And there’s no denying that
You’ve got a certain flair
You’ve given us things to talk about
Places to rant and rave
Pies, Poems and Writing
Whatever it is we crave
HAPPY G-A-P-A APPRECIATION DAY!!
So today we’ll celebrate
Each and every thing you do
And I’m sure it’s no surprise
We all platonically love you!
So Rosanne and Robert
We name this day for you
‘Cause you’ve never forgotten us
You’ve stuck with us through and through!
HAPPY G-A-P-A APPRECIATION DAAAAAAAY!!
*wild applause*
14 – Ooh, good one!
Unfortunantly, I’m not going to be here August 1st. *curses randomly* Everybody, can you keep the festivities going all week so I can participate?
This is a haiku.
Some haikus are pointless.
But not this one here.
G-a-p-as are
super cool and really… cool
unlike this awful.
Haiku, they should be
praised very, very, very,
very, very, much.
Boy are these hard to
write but the G-A-P-A
group is very cool
nonetheless. They could
probably write better hai
kus than this one… cow.
G-A-P-As are
awesome. did l already
say that? oh well… pink
Museblog was a great
idea that they had. Without it,
many lives would have
no meaning. Robert C,
Rebecca L., Paul B, and
Rossane S. are cool.
Sorry, that last one
was lame. I ran out of syl
llables. My only
chance of winning is
for this to sound cute
G-A-P-As rock!
The G-A-P-As
sacrifice a lot of time
for the blog to run.
They are kind and solve
problems amongst musebloggers.
They never get mean.
Five cheers for them! Yay!
Seven more for them! Huzzah!
And five more! w00t! w00t!

Thank you very much GAPAs, for moderating posts and being generally patient and dedicated. I really appreciate it!
IT IS NECCESSARY TO READ THIS POST, TOO!
All right- here’s hoe GAPA week is going to work.
ON THE FIRST DAY OF AUGUST- I’ll repost all the GAPA songs and poems. Then we start the chit-chat about them again. This day will also be the pie festival. Be aware of airborn pastries. Mostly, however, it is a chance to give the GAPAs some pies to enjoy. The yearbook signings begin. Just sign on this thread or the new thread.
ON THE SECOND DAY OF AUGUST- I’ll repost all the Muse Bloggers songs and poems that have the correct title format. If it doesn’t, then its not an entry. Please look at post 14, who did everything correctly. See how it says “MBPIE: (title)”. That’s the format. It must be the first thing in your post. read posts 7 and 11. This day is the costume festival. Everyone here dresses in virtual or real costumes, explains what they are wearing, and may talk with “thees” and “thous” and stuff. Or “aye, mateys!” Or “One ring to rule them all!”s. We start the Judging of the GAPAs.
ON THE THIRD DAY OF AUGUST- This is the day that the judging begins. Reread post 11. We really need to get down to the six finalists. This day will be the HPB seftival, where we honor the genus of our favorite smiley. Everyone can write a little poem or verse about their fav pink creatures, if they like.
ON THE FOURTH DAY OF AUGUST- We finish the voting for our six Poem and Song Idols, and the voting for the four poems or songs for the GAPA idols. THIS IS THE MAIN EVENT FOR THIS DAY. However, there will be a MuseBlog thread festival. We can post and tell everyone our favorite threads. This isn’t all that exciting, but the voting is going to be frantic this day.
ON THE FIFTH DAY OF AUGUST- Another franticy fun day. We vote to see which GAPA poem/song is the best. It’ll be painful, but necessary. The GAPAs will be forced to vote to see which of the Poem Idol finalists get second and first. They’ll also vote for which of the Song Idol finalists gets second and first. We’ll have a smal MUSE festival, and tell people what are favorite articles are.
ON THE SIXTH DAY OF AUGUST- We vote to choose the Ruler of the Pen! This is the FIRST DAY OF CARNAVAL! Watch out for those pies! Uhoh… loooks like that MBer had a bit too much pie to eat. You may dress in costume. Everyone eats way too much virtual food.
ON THE SEVENTH DAY OF AUGUST- We go crazy, giving the GAPAs Honorary Museblog Awesome GAPA Medals. The Ruler of the Pen gets some pies thrown at her/him as a sign of reverence. All our finalists get medals, and the first place winners of all three idols get trophies. All the contestents get laural wreaths. airborne pastry is a sign of joy and celebration. On this day, we will close the yearbook signings, where we tell the GAPAs how much we love them.
(and then we start preparing for next year’s festivities…)
About the contest – I don’t think the GAPAs, or anyone, should vote for a “favorite” or “best.” It just seems so un-MuseBlog-ish. Doesn’t it?
I mean, I like the fact that everyone’s writing poems and songs, but that doesn’t mean one is better than all the rest. Because then it gets to be a “one is better than all the rest” thing, which, as I said, doesn’t seem MuseBloggy to me.
Well, I suppose if we did this many many times, over the years they would all have won a few times and it’d be a friendlier compitition, but yeah, I dunno about the whole ‘best’ thing…
Woot! Woot! G A P A ! Yeah!
MBSIE: The seven days of August
(sung to the twelve days of christmas)
(in case anyone says it differently, GAPA is sung gah-pah. two syllables.)
On the first day of August,
A gift to you we give,
a twenty-foot pie!
on the second day of August,
Some gifts you we give,
two costumed girls,
and a twenty foot pie!
on the third day of August,
some gifts to you we give,
three Hot Pink Bunnies,
two costumed girls,
and a twenty foot pie!
on the fourth day of August,
some gifts to you we give,
four best threads,
three Pink Bunnies,
two costumed girls,
and a twenty foot pie!!
on the fifth day of August,
some gift to you we give,
five ar – ti – cles!
four best threads,
three Pink Bunnies,
two costumed girls,
and a twenty foot pie!
on the sixth day of August,
some gifts to you we give!
six adoring musers,
five art – i – cles!
four best threads,
three pink bunnies,
two costumed girls,
and a twenty foot pie!
on the seventh day of August,
some gifts to you we give!
seven million thanks,
six adoring musers,
five art – i – cles,
four best threads,
three pink bunnies,
two costumed girls,
and a twenty foot pie!
WE ARE GOING TO IGNORE THE WORLD LIMITS FOR THE ENTRIES. THANK YOU.
26, 27, – It’s a friendly competition to stir in some interest. We’ll probably end up with a bunch of ties for each place. or the winner will be the silliest song. It’s a fun parody of American idol, not a cut throat competition. For one thing, it’s about the GAPAs, not the winning or losing. It’s really a way also to get people to make songs. I honestly don’t see a problem with it, but you don’t have to vote or enter the contest if you don’t want to.
You could have categories instead of 1st, 2nd, 3rd. When we do our murder mysteries we give prizes for stuff like funniest answer, most creative, and most confused.
(29) What kinds of costumes are the girls wearing? Renaissance?
What’s with the “costumed girls”??? Strange! *leaves before somebody thinks this is a poem*
33- One in elizabethan and the other in renaissance.
32- That could work, but then it would be only musers that would vote. Is that all right with you guys, GAPAs? And then I’ll have to ask thge musers… well, the more I think about it, the way we have it now seems easier… Categories with so many people could get really messy very fast…
I agree with Pan about voting for the best one. But Lady B has a good idea.
32 (Lady B.)- You do murder mysteries? *awed*
Right now the first five posts in the recent comments bar are for this thread, thread #945!!!
Oh, silly me.

32- I would probably get most confused.
I agree with 39.
(37) Yes, we perform them as fundraisers for the theater where I do volunteer and occasional paid work. The first year I had the female lead and played a glamorous movie star (dream role). The second I was the matron of home for wayward teenage girls (typecasting?). That’s the role for which I wore the bunny slippers.
(39) Strangely enough, agagabagabag, for two years’ running, my brother’s team has won “most confused.”
41- Oh yes! Bertha!
*hunts down GAPAs* *pies viciously*
*Begins searching for ingerdients for twenty foot pies*
I hate to say this but… we already have a GAPA appreciation day and a GAPA song. It’s August 1st, and the song is *write your own* version of the llama song.
That’s okay though, we can have a week as well! *pies GAPAs*
They can be combined! the first could be the first day of our week!
45- No one knew this when I was asking a couple of days ago. Now it’s a bit too late.
The day has expanded to a week. We aren’t complaining. *revels in it*
(48) …plus all the preparations, so in effect it has already started. Um, no complaints from me either.
(47) We had a thread for it last year. Well no, actually we had a “Happy Birthday Museblog” thread with a note to the effect that it was also GAPA Appreciation Day.
I’m sorry guys, i didn’t realize that aug 1-7 was being declared GAPA appreciation week. I thought it was this week. Whoops.
Thanks GAPAs. We all love you guys and gals, too. *smiles sweetly, the malicously pies* PIE! PIE! PIE-PIE!
I like Rebecca’s idea too, because then it doesn’t seem like a winner-is-the-best type thing.
I was also hesitant about the forcing the GAPAs to vote thing Vixen proposed. Because isn’t this supposed to be appreciation in the first place?
53- Yeah! and a chance to have a bit of fun. It’s because we are all a bit tired of the adults white lieing to avoid giving us criticism. like last year, we had a costume contest at school, and then the prinicple got on the intercom and told us that everyone had won, because all the costumes were awesome, and we would all recieve a free ice cream sandwich. yay. how amusing.
I LOVE YOU GAPAS.
(sadness.. was not included in generations thingy and can’t post there because… she doesn’t know why!)
Have a flamablambulous time!
54- At least you got an ice cream sandwich.
(55) You’re on there, Jugglebug. Generation 9.
55- But I put you in. I remember putting you in.
40- Whaaa?
41- Ah, but l wasn’t here!
Yay!!! GAPA appreciation week!! Thank you, thank you, thank you sooo much!!!! The blog is very cool and GAPAs make it even more interesting and awesome!! I can’t think of a song or a poem so I’m compensating by putting lots and lots of exclamation points!!!!! Yay!!!!
(I’ll try to think of a song later, but I fear it shall be about as good as the Vogons’ poetry)
GAPAs are awesome, GAPAs they make
the MuseBlog such fun (when not splotched with a cake)
GAPAs are good, so good they make me cry,
When Koko puts them out of action with a faceful of pie.
(MUSEBLOG ROCKS!!!)
Leland- Are you new? ‘pies just in case* Go GAPAs!
YAY G.A.P.A.S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
Random things in blog history: One of the few times Robert Coontz’s name is not green.
Gapas- Your name really stands for Great and Awesome onlineParents that we hAven’t met! *that wasn’t very good* Oh well! we still love you!
*sings GAPA appreciation song*
That’s the best kind of song, because you don’t have to write it, and for all we know, it could sound like the GAPAs’ favorite songs.
Thank you, GAPAs! I appreciate you!
Yay GAPAs! *sends appreciation and pies*
Thanks, all! But don’t use up all your pies just yet. GAPA Appreciation Week is still a few weeks away.
It is? Oh. *saves pies* Well, I appreciate you GAPAs anyway!
WE LUUUUURVE THE GAPAS! W00TY W00T!
I blush, I blush; for heere uppon this blog,
Unlook’d for, nowe appeareth this newe Thread,
Wherin tis seene, within the short prologue,
That Mistress Vixen, marching at the head
(or so it seems) of manie others’ will,
Requested, nay, demanded, this small space
Wherin she may take pen and write her fill
Of praise for GAPAs; this she doth apace,
And likewise followe closely in her traine,
A multitude; and eache true-hearted soule,
Is arm’d with mirth, to swell this faire campaign,
The virtues of the GAPAs to extol.
I doubt that I deserve suche eulogy,
But yet, I’ll reverence. Muche thankes from mee.
73- And you’re included in the revering! *pies*
74 – Ta. You’re so kind.
I love the GAPAs. They solve ALL MY PROBLEMS.
Let’s write a musical!
GAPA! The Musical!
written by assorted Musebloggers!
With lots of Exclamation Points!!!
Hey Vixen, it looks like we won’t get enough entrys for our contests. We’ll have to vote on what we have.
73- *blushes madly, and hides her snout behind an embroidered fan, then gracefully bows* You are very kind, Sir Paul!
Jugglebug- perfect. We can make it like a RRR.
77- Faith, my friend.
Interesting topic… GAPA appriciation… do y’all like cheese puffs?
I can’t write a poem! I’d try, but I’m so bad at it.
(79) Do you mean the little crunchy cheesy snacks that come in a bag like potato chips, or the cheesy popovers that you make from scratch and bake in the oven? I like them both.
78. sanks. I think we are going to need more than JUST 2 people.
82- I’ll do it.
Happy appreciation week GAPAs!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for being the best GAPAs ever!!!!!!!!!!!
Still trying to think of a song. It’s slow going, but I’ll probably have one done before the first. *hands out some sandwhiches like she had for lunch to tide everyone over before the pieing starts*
*hands out chips to go with the sandwiches previously handed out*
*chicken and mushroom pies for all the gapas*
*corned beef pies for everyone else*
76 – Yes!!!
Hmm, I’m rather stumped at the moment. I’ll write a haiku later; I’m pretty awful at composing poetry, but for the GAPAs I’ll give it a try!
Okay, I wrote a poem fo it. I’ll post it on the first.
Thank you, GAPAs!
There once were four G-A-P-A
Who Museblogged simply all day
Said bloggers: “Thank you!
We appreciate, it’s true!
And then they all shouted hooray!
As you can see, my mad poetic skills are, well, nonexistent.
u remind me of craaw
Me? Um…thank you…?
That’s not a compliment.
Seriously, people, can we just vote?
Hello! O.. o… o…
*revives thread* *appreciates GAPAs*
