The eye docter wants me to try those hard lenses that you sleep in at night and take out in the morning and your vision is better for the day, but I don’t know. He says the main probalem people have with hard lenss is they can fell them when the blink, but since you sleep with your eyes closed that shouldn’t ba a problem, but I open and close my eyes a lot at night, and lay with my eyes open. Plus, you can’t just try them for a few weeks, you have to stick with them. For three years. So I don’t think so…

Imaxed Harry Potter is fantasticcccc.
The Tech Museum had a pretty long line though. We did see some people from school, both on the VTA and in line. It was so cool. Imax is amazing.

I don’t know when I’m seeing Harry Potter…but I do really want to see it. And my mum won’t let me pre-order the book until I have enough money…which I don’t, of course.

22: I have hard lenses and you do feel them when you blink. It’s a little annoying, but I’m used to it now. Actually, what you’re thinking about getting is the total opposite of what I have: I wear mine in the daytime and not at night. I would say go for it; they’ll take a little time getting used to, that’s all.

Oh, goodness, no, I’m not going to college, yet!!! Community college in the fall, but that’s all for now. And, yes, this is the one that counted (all the official ones count, you just get to pick the one you want). Yeah, only 3% of the people who took in that day (not only in my state, MI, but in the whole country) had a score equal to or better than mine. Man, you should’ve seen my face… Oh, the “College Survey” thing was something biblioRose (I think?) came up with, to tell you which college would be good for you.

36-an AP test it’s like a college class in high school and if you get a certain score out of five some colleges count it as college credit so you don’t have to retake the class in college.
Started re-reading hp today. Forgot how big the print was! I finishsed the first book in an hour and fifteen minutes, which is just crazy. I’m not saying i like teeny tiny print but that size is just a bit ridiculous. although i guess it’s really aimed at younger kids so it makes a bit more sense.
Haven’t seen the movie yet. Probably will tomorrow, since i have to work six hours today. And in that six hours i’ll make more than i’ve made all summer.

i don’t get to read HP7 until late august. sob. i’m in france when it’s release and, though i am fluent in french i have extremely bad reading/writing skills. reading better than writing.
skipping is so much fun. It’ s one of the weird things I do when I’m happy. Usually after I’ve seen a movie I’ll either skip around the parking lot if we’re at a movie theater or I’ll skip around our living room.
And my dad announced a couple days ago that we’re going to see Harry Potter in IMAX at the Smithsonian when we go to DC!!!!! I am so excited. Also at my viola lesson today my teacher gave me a copy of the music to the harry potter song. I put it in trebel clef and now I’m trying to harmonize with it on the piano. It’s hard. Too many freaking accidentals.

Oh, and l have a problem with my family. My dad’s side is always insisting that l tell them what l want for my birthday this time of year. Unfortunately, they’re the christian, eurocentric side, and they don’t really understand me. If they don’t know what l want, they give me stuff l would never want, and this year l only want manga (shaman kings 8-12) and a shiva statue(l’m decorating my room with easternphilosophy stuff). None of them know who shiva even is, or which way you read manga. And l have to tell each side of the family a different list, or l get duplicates, and there’s not enough to go around this year. l can’t avoid getting stuff l could never want. *sigh*

Here’s a solution, but it involves parents.
I almost always ask my relatives what they want for a present. They usually give me a few possibilities. If they’re kids, I check with one of their parents before I buy the present — and so do the other relatives. That way the parent can tell us if someone else is already giving that particular present. So no duplicates.

I’m going to completely change my hair. I’ve hand long, straight, blonde hair my entire life. I’m going to ask the hairstylist to make it look like Dita von Teese’s, which is shorter, dark brown, and curly. I’ve been looking around for a good picture, but the best one I’ve seen shows her breast. No suprise, considering she’s a burlesque entertainer. Still, she’s like my new idol. Also, she’s been wearing a corset since she was 15, and now she can tie her waist down to 16 1/2 inches(down from a natural waist of 22 inches). Which is like… really skinny. I mean, she’s naturally petite (103 pounds and 5’3″). Haha, I’m like, in love with her now. Right.

Hee hee… Earlier today, when I was still on camp, the bus that was coming to take us for a hike on dartmoor (Groan. We’d already walked over ten miles in three days), and then home, backed into a pillar and smashed its window. We had to send it off again for the 2 hour drive back to somerset from devon, because we wouldn’t ride on it with a broken window. While we were waiting for that bus to get back and another one to come, we obviously couldn’t go for a hike. ( No way to get to dartmoor) So, all fifty of us, not counting teachers, walked into Exter and went ten pin bowling!

I am quite thrilled at the moment, for I got my AP scores back! 4 in Chemistry, and 5 in Calculus AB!
It probably means that everyone else in the class got a 5 in Chemistry, but that’s entirely beside the point, considering that test was pure death… ish…
It also means that I won’t be made fun of all next year by my Chem teacher, whom I will have for H. Engineering next year. Oh, happy day!

I’m not sure if I’m skinny or average. I wouldn’t call myself skinny, but the fact that most jeans are too wide at the waist might be evidence to the contrary. I weigh about 100 pounds, give or take a few (I’m not a weight-watcher) and I’m about 5’3″ or thereabouts. Maybe taller, maybe smaller. I wouldn’t call skinny admirable, even though this culture seems to be fond of it. In some places, wealth and power is judged by how fat you are.

81/82- It’s just another form of body modification, and not nearly the worst one when it comes to that. Also, I never said she was my idol /because/ of the waist-training, it was just something that I thought was pretty cool. It takes a lot of self control, which is admirable. Also, it ties in with my other interest. Also, some people are just naturally skinny- plus, with her routine, she gets a lot of exercise.
84- Okay, I’ve dyed my hair multiple times before. It’s not going to ruin my hair for life, trust me. Nothing’s /wrong/ with my hair right now, it’s just the same thing it’s always been. What, exactly do you think is going to hurt it so much? It’s just a cut, dye, and curl.. It’s gonna be a hassle to take care of, which I’ve never really had to deal with.

I sometimes get teased or picked on (or whatever it is) because I’m really thin. The only reason I can come up with this is because people know they can’t pick on fat people because it’s mean, but they feel they can pick on thin people because it’s not mean. It’s ‘rude’ to say someone is ‘fat’, but not ‘rude’ to say someone is ‘thin’. At least, that’s what I think. I’m not 100% sure.
Wow, we should make a club for us thin people! (haha, jk.) There’s a lot of us! 88: Same here. I eat lots, but don’t gain weight. A lot of people envy me because of it, but sometimes it’s annoying. I disagree that you look good no matter what weight you are. people who are 700 pounds are extremly unhealthy and unattractive as are extremly skinny people. Everyone needs to be at the weight that is good for them, and consult fashion magazines a lot less and there docters a lot more.

Sometimes I think I’d like to change my name, but honestly, Alice works well. It’s who I am. (Wow, what a revelation!)
Names are just weird to me. I mean, there you are, with a brand new baby (okay, so there you aren’t, bu you get my drift), and the first thing you do is name it. And that name may end up being the very opposite of that child’s personality, or they may hate it. It’s just weird, the way you “name” things.
Slightly related, whenever I see my name written down it looks all weird, like it doesn’t really belong to me.

I must get up so that I can write it before I forget.” At the same time, I was thinking, “I’d love to say that the blue horse, ‘glowed with an unearthly light’ but it’s not really unearthly. What makes something unearthly anyway? If we know what it looks like, then it must be earthly.”

I had a cool dream last night, but it was quite bizarre. I climbed a mountain and it was very cold (funny, cus it’s boiling here). And there was all this christmas stuff happening. And there was my dad (another odd thing- I never have dreams about my [late] father), but he was my mom. Kind of. And the presents got all messed up and my father ended up getting an American Girls doll set cus I forgot to get him a christmas present. 116- Yeah. I went through this month-long period recently where I would hear my name and be like “Oh crap, that’s me” even though I’ve been called it my whole life. It was just… weird. Now I’m used to it again, but still feel odd. I don’t think my name fits me (as in I don’t corolate that name with being the kind of person I am. 12 – Wow, congrats!!! Would that be the US history test or something else? The people from my school who took the history test last year only got twos or threes at the highest. I heard it was insanely hard. The only AP test I’ve taken is Latin (Vergil). I got a four on that, which really surprised me.
20 – Do you like contacts better? I have glasses now and I’ve heard that they’re worse for your eyes than contacts, but I’m afraid to put things directly in my eyes!

95 – You are lucky if you don’t have to worry about what you eat! It sounds like I’m in the minority for MB body types. I’m not morbidly obese or anything, but I’m certainly not thin even though I exercise regularly and stick to a healthy diet (my mom’s really into nutrition). I guess I’m just not built to be that small. It still bothers me, though. I’m not obsessed with weight, but I do get self-concious about it a lot. It’s also frustrating to go looking for prom dresses and find that most stores don’t have anything above a size two.
99 – Me too! I have curly hair and brushing the tangles out takes so long it drives me crazy.
116 – I just had one of those moments! I was looking up my names in a name book and I thought “hey, that name’s meaning sounds like my personality….oh wait, that is my name!”. But lately every time people say my name it takes me a second to register that they’re addressing me. It is weird.
As I was packing today I found three boxes filled with old Muses. It felt like finding buried treasure – there were even issues from the first year of publication! For once I’m glad my family saves pretty much everything!

I didn’t really think Harry Potter 5 left such a lasting impression on me in the way some of the others did. I kind of left the theatre thinking: meh. Luna Lovegood was really good, though, and so was the actress who played Professor Umbridge. *shiver* On the other hand, I thought Transformers was amazing, and would gladly see it again in theatres( i happened to see HP 5 twice). Speaking of movies, I stayed up way too late a few nights ago to watch The Matrix. Which was pretty good.

re: names: Agh. My name is rather suited to me, I think, but people who know my name but not my face are always like “omg it’s a girl O.o” when they meet me.
I also go by Penty so often that it seems like it’s my actual name. Or one of them, anyway; my full name (as printed on my birth certificate) is six words long.
Seeing my name written out when it’s not in relation to me makes me feel odd. When it applies to males or cities especially so.

You know, contrary to popular belief, not much has changed since I discovered MuseBlog. My schedule remains the same, with one exception. Where I used to send my spare time (spare time=not cleaning house, watching the sheep, or writing) reading or wandering aimlessly, now I spend it MuseBlogging or editing, unless I’m making an effort not to spend my spare time MuseBlogging, in which case I wander aimlessly.
In short, I have too much spare time. Not something that many people can boast of.

RANDOM!!!!: I was out riding my bike while my parents walked our dog around the park. This was about an hour ago. I was going along, and my foot slipped and the bike slipped out from under me. I was riding on a paved sidewalk, and I scraped my knee and my elbow, the elbow badly. Deep scrapes on both sides, with gravel in the wound. So I just got back from immediate care. They cleaned and put numbing stuff on the wound, cleaned it some more, and put a million miles of wrapping material on it. *faints*

I need to go to bed early, but I’m so wound up I can’t sleep. Tomorrow I’m going kayaking! We eat at eight, start getting ready at nine, and leave shortly after. NOT ENOUGH TIME! I’ll need to get up insanely early. Tomorrow we’re going around an island, the next day we’re going even further, the day after they’re visiting a museum and babysitting a block party’s worth of small children. On the nineteenth I MUST manage to get out of the town which I ought to be staying in after babysitting and kayak, because they’re going to explore a CAVE! And it sounds like it’s going to be the funnest of all the days, and unless I can get home on the evening of the eighteenth, I’m going to miss it. Oh woe is me! And I haven’t any shorts, and I’ll have to kayak in long pants!
And I’m not sure, but maybe I shouldn’t have drank the ice tea. It seems a prime suspect in my wound-up-ness.

Ug. My mom is really mad at me. She owns a dance studio and somehow figures since I am her daughter I would love to help teach all the little kid classes, but that isnt the case. I’m just letting you all know, I haven’t drowned. And I won a game in the kayak rodeo. It was the game where you had to race down to the finish line, switch boats with your partner, and race back up. (I dunno how to explain them, at least not in this mind state–look ’em up.)

207-Glerg. I have to get a meningitis shot soon. I’m turnin 13 soon, but they didn’t want to give it to me till I was all better from mono. Now with a big scrape on my arm, I don’t know what they will do.
Having this bandage on my arm is making me do things more with my left arm (I’m VERY MUCH SO right-handed) so it is an interesting experience. But last night, when we were trying to change the bandage, the pad had slipped, and the rough wrapping material was touching the wound. My body had tried to include the wrapping in the healing, so it wasn’t fun getting that off. I was amazed by how much the wound had healed in a day, but that was bad when something was being included!

actually once hermann leaves we’ll be pretty sober. most of the drugs left after my freshman year (the four senior saxes) and the rest left with noah last year. (noah in a theory-if you’re high all the time, nobody can catch you because you’re just acting like you do all the time) And most of the alcohol left last year too, with the sousaphones (ALL our sousaphones left, which is why we now have tony and sarah, who are both about half the size of their instruments…). I think hermann’s the only one left who drinks.

Well, I tried to post while I was gone, but this WordPress thing came up and told me I couldn’t. WordPress is evil. Or maybe it was the hotel’s internet?
Anyhow, I’ve had enough of Virginia for, well, quite a while. Seriously, I felt like I was in a time warp in some of these towns. Everything’s so old. I mean, the whole state isn’t like that. Shenandoah Nation Park was beautiful. But there sure were a lot of crummy towns on the way there.
I had my first encounter with Virginia accents. On some people it’s neat to listen to, but on others… eh, I just think I could take these people more seriously if they didn’t, like, leave out syllables. I had to laugh when we were touring the Monticello house and the guide told us about Jefferson’s “increble libary”. I shouldn’t be talking, though, being from Northeast Ohio… home of the Akron “A”. (I don’t live in Akron, /disclaimer)
I got a lot of reading done, also, from so much time in the car. My sister’s making me read Uglies by Scott Westerfeld. Blehhh. I’m almost done after two days, and I can’t stand not knowing how it ends, even if it’s dumb.

It’s over. Today was exciting, though. As we were getting ready to launch the boats, one fell off the trailer. Whatever, we all thought. Not a big deal. But then a little while later, someone suddenly said, “C***, why is your boat riding so low?” It had a huge hole in the bottom! My dad stuffed the hole with saran wrap from the boy’s lunch, which was ruined. Then when we got back to the dock, I***** and D*** learned to roll their kayaks. I also tried, but even the smallest boat was far too large for me, so my hip is all bruised and I didn’t learn how to roll. Which isn’t fair, since I***** is a year and a half younger than me. But oh well. Then for the evening program, there was a talent show, and I***** and D*** did an “interpretive dance”, in other words, the mimed the whole week.

Well, despite the fact that The I.C. just joined, she must now leave you for two weeks. She is going camping in Minnesota in the Boundary Waters. She will canoe out to an island on Saganaga Lake and stay there for three days without anyone else but her dog… and all the cute chipmunks. And moose. And red squirrels. And possible black bears.
But do not fret your little selves, The I.C. is very experienced in these matters. She goes camping every summer and is looking forward to her first solo journey. By solo, she means that she is going somewhere, other than her one-acre backyard, by herself.
After camping, she will spend a week driving around Minnesota and Iowa, seeing the sites. Yes, there are sites to see in Iowa. The American Gothic House, for instance – the one that inspired the painting.
Anyways, she bids you all farewell and hopes to return to blog as soon as possible.

I’m thinking about re-reading the sixth again, seeing as i finished it earlier than i’d planned. of course i’ve read it least out of all the books so the story’s rather more new and exciting, so i read through it a little faster (like through dinner, for example, and staying up late…or as late as i could which was a pathetic 12:30 before i fell asleep, but i haven’t slept very long in a while)
i did watch part of apollo 13 yesterday though. good movie, but i’ll never admit it to my brother, he’;s obsessed with it.
also it’s a bit hard to watch seriously, forrest gump in space…i kept waiting for him to say “life is like a box of chocolates” or something
oh, and while we’re in this lovely harry potter spirit, does anybody know why the scholastic wizard challenge went kablooie? i was just on for the first time in ages, cuz i got really bored and it said it was temporarily down or something. double yewz tee effs?

The eye docter wants me to try those hard lenses that you sleep in at night and take out in the morning and your vision is better for the day, but I don’t know. He says the main probalem people have with hard lenss is they can fell them when the blink, but since you sleep with your eyes closed that shouldn’t ba a problem, but I open and close my eyes a lot at night, and lay with my eyes open. Plus, you can’t just try them for a few weeks, you have to stick with them. For three years. So I don’t think so…

Oh, goodness, no, I’m not going to college, yet!!! Community college in the fall, but that’s all for now. And, yes, this is the one that counted (all the official ones count, you just get to pick the one you want). Yeah, only 3% of the people who took in that day (not only in my state, MI, but in the whole country) had a score equal to or better than mine. Man, you should’ve seen my face… Oh, the “College Survey” thing was something biblioRose (I think?) came up with, to tell you which college would be good for you.

Started re-reading hp today. Forgot how big the print was! I finishsed the first book in an hour and fifteen minutes, which is just crazy. I’m not saying i like teeny tiny print but that size is just a bit ridiculous. although i guess it’s really aimed at younger kids so it makes a bit more sense.
Haven’t seen the movie yet. Probably will tomorrow, since i have to work six hours today. And in that six hours i’ll make more than i’ve made all summer.

skipping is so much fun. It’ s one of the weird things I do when I’m happy. Usually after I’ve seen a movie I’ll either skip around the parking lot if we’re at a movie theater or I’ll skip around our living room.
And my dad announced a couple days ago that we’re going to see Harry Potter in IMAX at the Smithsonian when we go to DC!!!!! I am so excited. Also at my viola lesson today my teacher gave me a copy of the music to the harry potter song. I put it in trebel clef and now I’m trying to harmonize with it on the piano. It’s hard. Too many freaking accidentals.

And I said, “What’s MTV?” And my mom just stared at me. She didn’t believe I honestly didn’t know about MTV! Now I do, though…
Oh, and l have a problem with my family. My dad’s side is always insisting that l tell them what l want for my birthday this time of year. Unfortunately, they’re the christian, eurocentric side, and they don’t really understand me. If they don’t know what l want, they give me stuff l would never want, and this year l only want manga (shaman kings 8-12) and a shiva statue(l’m decorating my room with easternphilosophy stuff). None of them know who shiva even is, or which way you read manga. And l have to tell each side of the family a different list, or l get duplicates, and there’s not enough to go around this year. l can’t avoid getting stuff l could never want. *sigh*

Here’s a solution, but it involves parents.
I almost always ask my relatives what they want for a present. They usually give me a few possibilities. If they’re kids, I check with one of their parents before I buy the present — and so do the other relatives. That way the parent can tell us if someone else is already giving that particular present. So no duplicates.

I’m going to completely change my hair. I’ve hand long, straight, blonde hair my entire life. I’m going to ask the hairstylist to make it look like Dita von Teese’s, which is shorter, dark brown, and curly. I’ve been looking around for a good picture, but the best one I’ve seen shows her breast. No suprise, considering she’s a burlesque entertainer. Still, she’s like my new idol. Also, she’s been wearing a corset since she was 15, and now she can tie her waist down to 16 1/2 inches(down from a natural waist of 22 inches). Which is like… really skinny. I mean, she’s naturally petite (103 pounds and 5’3″). Haha, I’m like, in love with her now. Right.

Hee hee… Earlier today, when I was still on camp, the bus that was coming to take us for a hike on dartmoor (Groan. We’d already walked over ten miles in three days), and then home, backed into a pillar and smashed its window. We had to send it off again for the 2 hour drive back to somerset from devon, because we wouldn’t ride on it with a broken window. While we were waiting for that bus to get back and another one to come, we obviously couldn’t go for a hike. ( No way to get to dartmoor) So, all fifty of us, not counting teachers, walked into Exter and went ten pin bowling!
Lucky person… But then, I’ve been managing to get out of camps.

83- Wow. l’m 13, 4’10”, and l weigh 80 pounds.
I’m not sure if I’m skinny or average. I wouldn’t call myself skinny, but the fact that most jeans are too wide at the waist might be evidence to the contrary. I weigh about 100 pounds, give or take a few (I’m not a weight-watcher) and I’m about 5’3″ or thereabouts. Maybe taller, maybe smaller. I wouldn’t call skinny admirable, even though this culture seems to be fond of it. In some places, wealth and power is judged by how fat you are.
See what I mean peoples? Being skinny is only a problem when you’re anorexic or buelimic or don’t have anything to eat anyways. I eat tons. And probably weigh less than most of you!
Why do people even care? Why do people even think about it? You can look nice no matter what your weight is, providing you wear nice things. (NOT sweatpants!)
PS. Corsets are unhealthy. They squish your internal organs, and make it hard to breathe.
81/82- It’s just another form of body modification, and not nearly the worst one when it comes to that. Also, I never said she was my idol /because/ of the waist-training, it was just something that I thought was pretty cool. It takes a lot of self control, which is admirable. Also, it ties in with my other interest. Also, some people are just naturally skinny- plus, with her routine, she gets a lot of exercise.
84- Okay, I’ve dyed my hair multiple times before. It’s not going to ruin my hair for life, trust me. Nothing’s /wrong/ with my hair right now, it’s just the same thing it’s always been. What, exactly do you think is going to hurt it so much? It’s just a cut, dye, and curl.. It’s gonna be a hassle to take care of, which I’ve never really had to deal with.

Also, corsets can have positive effects as well, helping with back problems and whatnot. They’ve changed quite a bit since when they were first introduced.

89/90- Extremes of weight are /not/ nice. Morbidly obese and the very skinny do not look good. Corsets only squish organs and damage ribs if it’s badly fitting or over-tightened. Also, there are numerous advantages- women with larger breasts get more support, can reduce pain, they’re warm, and they offer an easy way to define the figure.

I sometimes get teased or picked on (or whatever it is) because I’m really thin. The only reason I can come up with this is because people know they can’t pick on fat people because it’s mean, but they feel they can pick on thin people because it’s not mean. It’s ‘rude’ to say someone is ‘fat’, but not ‘rude’ to say someone is ‘thin’. At least, that’s what I think. I’m not 100% sure.

Well, I finished packing for camp about ten minutes ago. I will be leaving tomorrow morning around 9, and then I’ll be at camp for three weeks. And then I’ll come back for a weekend, and then go spend a week in New York, hiking and camping and such, and ending the week by seeing the NASCAR race at Watkins Glen. The down side: I won’t have computer access for a month. So this will be my last day on MB for a month. Farewell, mes amis.
I disagree that you look good no matter what weight you are. people who are 700 pounds are extremly unhealthy and unattractive as are extremly skinny people. Everyone needs to be at the weight that is good for them, and consult fashion magazines a lot less and there docters a lot more.

Sometimes I think I’d like to change my name, but honestly, Alice works well. It’s who I am. (Wow, what a revelation!)
Names are just weird to me. I mean, there you are, with a brand new baby (okay, so there you aren’t, bu you get my drift), and the first thing you do is name it. And that name may end up being the very opposite of that child’s personality, or they may hate it. It’s just weird, the way you “name” things.
Slightly related, whenever I see my name written down it looks all weird, like it doesn’t really belong to me.

I need to think of something else.” And then I did think of something else, and while I was standing on the very big lawn confronted by two flaming horses (well, one was glowing electric blue, and the other one was flaming, and it was red), I thought, “This would make a very good book. I must get up so that I can write it before I forget.” At the same time, I was thinking, “I’d love to say that the blue horse, ‘glowed with an unearthly light’ but it’s not really unearthly. What makes something unearthly anyway? If we know what it looks like, then it must be earthly.”
It was a remarkably lucid dream.

I had a cool dream last night, but it was quite bizarre. I climbed a mountain and it was very cold (funny, cus it’s boiling here). And there was all this christmas stuff happening. And there was my dad (another odd thing- I never have dreams about my [late] father), but he was my mom. Kind of. And the presents got all messed up and my father ended up getting an American Girls doll set cus I forgot to get him a christmas present. Then I finally remembered it was my birthday, and that’s why I forgot it. It was all very unsettling.
116- Yeah. I went through this month-long period recently where I would hear my name and be like “Oh crap, that’s me” even though I’ve been called it my whole life. It was just… weird. Now I’m used to it again, but still feel odd. I don’t think my name fits me (as in I don’t corolate that name with being the kind of person I am. Ish.), actually ‘Jadestone’ is more like I am than my actual name.

12 – Wow, congrats!!! Would that be the US history test or something else? The people from my school who took the history test last year only got twos or threes at the highest. I heard it was insanely hard. The only AP test I’ve taken is Latin (Vergil). I got a four on that, which really surprised me.

95 – You are lucky if you don’t have to worry about what you eat! It sounds like I’m in the minority for MB body types. I’m not morbidly obese or anything, but I’m certainly not thin even though I exercise regularly and stick to a healthy diet (my mom’s really into nutrition). I guess I’m just not built to be that small. It still bothers me, though. I’m not obsessed with weight, but I do get self-concious about it a lot. It’s also frustrating to go looking for prom dresses and find that most stores don’t have anything above a size two.

You know, contrary to popular belief, not much has changed since I discovered MuseBlog. My schedule remains the same, with one exception. Where I used to send my spare time (spare time=not cleaning house, watching the sheep, or writing) reading or wandering aimlessly, now I spend it MuseBlogging or editing, unless I’m making an effort not to spend my spare time MuseBlogging, in which case I wander aimlessly.
In short, I have too much spare time. Not something that many people can boast of.

RANDOM!!!!: I was out riding my bike while my parents walked our dog around the park. This was about an hour ago. I was going along, and my foot slipped and the bike slipped out from under me. I was riding on a paved sidewalk, and I scraped my knee and my elbow, the elbow badly. Deep scrapes on both sides, with gravel in the wound. So I just got back from immediate care. They cleaned and put numbing stuff on the wound, cleaned it some more, and put a million miles of wrapping material on it. *faints*

I’m just letting you all know, I haven’t drowned. And I won a game in the kayak rodeo. It was the game where you had to race down to the finish line, switch boats with your partner, and race back up. My partner and I had switched twice before everyone else had even hauled themselves out of the water. It was fun. *smiles sleepily* And then later we threw darts from atlatls. (I dunno how to explain them, at least not in this mind state–look ’em up.)

207-Glerg. I have to get a meningitis shot soon. I’m turnin 13 soon, but they didn’t want to give it to me till I was all better from mono. Now with a big scrape on my arm, I don’t know what they will do.
Having this bandage on my arm is making me do things more with my left arm (I’m VERY MUCH SO right-handed) so it is an interesting experience. But last night, when we were trying to change the bandage, the pad had slipped, and the rough wrapping material was touching the wound. My body had tried to include the wrapping in the healing, so it wasn’t fun getting that off. I was amazed by how much the wound had healed in a day, but that was bad when something was being included!

I have pierced ears. Which may quickly become un-pierced if they haven’t healed in three months. Because I got them pierced in January, and one of them is still unhealed, and possibly infected. It was this morning, probably because I swam in the river yesterday, but that seems to have gone away.

actually once hermann leaves we’ll be pretty sober. most of the drugs left after my freshman year (the four senior saxes) and the rest left with noah last year. (noah in a theory-if you’re high all the time, nobody can catch you because you’re just acting like you do all the time) And most of the alcohol left last year too, with the sousaphones (ALL our sousaphones left, which is why we now have tony and sarah, who are both about half the size of their instruments…). I think hermann’s the only one left who drinks.

Well, I tried to post while I was gone, but this WordPress thing came up and told me I couldn’t. WordPress is evil. Or maybe it was the hotel’s internet?
Anyhow, I’ve had enough of Virginia for, well, quite a while. Seriously, I felt like I was in a time warp in some of these towns. Everything’s so old. I mean, the whole state isn’t like that. Shenandoah Nation Park was beautiful. But there sure were a lot of crummy towns on the way there.
I had my first encounter with Virginia accents. On some people it’s neat to listen to, but on others… eh, I just think I could take these people more seriously if they didn’t, like, leave out syllables. I had to laugh when we were touring the Monticello house and the guide told us about Jefferson’s “increble libary”. I shouldn’t be talking, though, being from Northeast Ohio… home of the Akron “A”. (I don’t live in Akron, /disclaimer)
I got a lot of reading done, also, from so much time in the car. My sister’s making me read Uglies by Scott Westerfeld. Blehhh. I’m almost done after two days, and I can’t stand not knowing how it ends, even if it’s dumb.

Today was exciting, though. As we were getting ready to launch the boats, one fell off the trailer. Whatever, we all thought. Not a big deal. But then a little while later, someone suddenly said, “C***, why is your boat riding so low?” It had a huge hole in the bottom! My dad stuffed the hole with saran wrap from the boy’s lunch, which was ruined. Then when we got back to the dock, I***** and D*** learned to roll their kayaks. I also tried, but even the smallest boat was far too large for me, so my hip is all bruised and I didn’t learn how to roll. Which isn’t fair, since I***** is a year and a half younger than me. But oh well. Then for the evening program, there was a talent show, and I***** and D*** did an “interpretive dance”, in other words, the mimed the whole week.
Well, despite the fact that The I.C. just joined, she must now leave you for two weeks. She is going camping in Minnesota in the Boundary Waters. She will canoe out to an island on Saganaga Lake and stay there for three days without anyone else but her dog… and all the cute chipmunks. And moose. And red squirrels. And possible black bears.
But do not fret your little selves, The I.C. is very experienced in these matters. She goes camping every summer and is looking forward to her first solo journey. By solo, she means that she is going somewhere, other than her one-acre backyard, by herself.
After camping, she will spend a week driving around Minnesota and Iowa, seeing the sites. Yes, there are sites to see in Iowa. The American Gothic House, for instance – the one that inspired the painting.
Anyways, she bids you all farewell and hopes to return to blog as soon as possible.

my uncle works there and he said it’s $15 everywhere (which they must’ve announced by now, but i haven’t been checking…), and they’re raffling 10 free books at each store. yay for cheap stuff 
I’m thinking about re-reading the sixth again, seeing as i finished it earlier than i’d planned. of course i’ve read it least out of all the books so the story’s rather more new and exciting, so i read through it a little faster (like through dinner, for example, and staying up late…or as late as i could which was a pathetic 12:30 before i fell asleep, but i haven’t slept very long in a while)
i did watch part of apollo 13 yesterday though. good movie, but i’ll never admit it to my brother, he’;s obsessed with it.
also it’s a bit hard to watch seriously, forrest gump in space…i kept waiting for him to say “life is like a box of chocolates” or something
oh, and while we’re in this lovely harry potter spirit, does anybody know why the scholastic wizard challenge went kablooie? i was just on for the first time in ages, cuz i got really bored and it said it was temporarily down or something. double yewz tee effs?

We are having this big party for my english teacher who is leaving the school, and she knows nothing about it! A friendly librarian has lent us the library for it, so we are going to set up at break and then go and get her and the class from the classroom we should be in! Fun!
Argh. My computer speakers are broken. But at least they can go up to a certain volume now before making a weird noise. I don’t know what ruined them, either.
