This month’s random thread takes its name from
(1) National Novel-Writing Month (a.k.a. NaNoWriMo), which will be depriving several MuseBloggers of sleep this month;
(2) the small pleasures of life (nano-joys, if you will) that everyone on the blog is hereby encouraged to celebrate.
Users’ Manual: Obey The Rules. Consult The Guide. Have fun!
NOTE: This is not the NaNoWriMo thread. That’s here.
hehehe. just cause i can. umm, i really need to sleep. and do my homework earlier. yeah.
THAT’S RIGHT THE FIRST COMES AFTER THE THIRTY FIRST AFDKJFHASFDS
Is this Aeiou’s first appearance on a random thread? Her fanboiz ought to be please.
NO SLEEP FOR PENTY, NO~
YES!
Ooh, ooh. Clever, clever.
3 – I think she’s been on one before.
She was definitely on the one with all the Muses (the picture with all the old muses, and the new ones). I’m not sure what month that was, though.
Nyaaarrrr I signed up for NaNo this yeah.
And I also like small things!
xD
I had a pretty freaking awesome night last night
like seriously awesome. We had this awesome Halloween event and it was pretty kick-ass.
November doesn’t feel much different from October. Perhaps slightly colder, but that depends on the location.
MEHAHA
NANO IS UPON US
AND I AM DYING
MEHAHA
ugh… post-halloween candy hangover.
I was gonna maybe do NaNoWriMo (I always thought that NoWri or WriMo would be more sense-making abbreviation than NaNo although they don’t lend themselves to such words as NaNovember) but I don’t think I’m going to. I have no topic, no inspiration, and no time. Heh.
Halloween was so fun. Details on the appropriate thread. Time to go play tuba! Yay! Tubachristmas music must be learned by Saturday and I just got it. Haha.
it is starting to fell like fall here!
Stupid school. They put midterms right after Halloween. And also at the beginning of NaNo. Arrrrrgh. Now I have to cut down my studying time to make time for writing. Ah well. I was procrastinating anyways.
HALLOWEEN! It was awesome.
We got in a random dance contest with highschoolers. We so beat their ass.
Anyhoo.
NaNoWriMo time! I added another cue brake.
I wish I could do NaNoWriMo, but I just don’t have the time… Halloween was pretty awesome, and I hope that other’s had a good time!
10-Ick. I didn’t get one this year! W00T!
i am doing NaNo but its my first time so no way am i gonna finish it.
I LOVE this thread’s name!
it’s clever i’ll admit but i am tired of all the posts on the NaNo thread which take up space on the recent coment bar….gr… anyhoo. my bro is playing anoying french horn right now. and RE: fall: hah you USians it’s only starting to feel like fall down there….. actualy it opnly reall got fallish up here in the first/second week of october… ohhh that didn’t turn out the way i wanted it to. originaly there was going to be a witty coment about parkas in september but no.
wooow. i was one minute away from not getting first post. baad mbers. you should go to bed. and its worse for me, im on EST. lol. aaand, not doing NaNo. eh. sorry peoples.
I’d just like to point out for an update to the cllendar: November 11 is Remebrance day in Canada. please fix the callendar! thanks GAPAs’ i loves you.
ARGHDRATDARNBOTHERCURSES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am unable to fully express my feelings without voilating both my own ethical code and MuseBlog’s rules, so I’ll have to pretend that I feel better now.
There is a block on the school computers so I can’t post on ANY forum.
I have too much homework.
NaNo has begun and I don’t have a computer.
Halloween was the most disappointing day of my life.
So yeah, I’m feeling depressed.
ON THE BRIGHT SIDE:
I finished my English presentation and I think I did well, despite the fact that my hands were shaking almost too much to move the notecards and I was talking a mile a minute in an effort to get it over with. My speech was well-written and I just made the time requirement (by three seconds).
In Freshman Trans we are watching The Corpse Bride, because somehow my teacher got it into his head that it had a good example of poorly managed time. I’m not complaining.
In Spanish, which comes right after Frosh Trans, I sat around translating my paragraph on Victor’s poor time management into Spanish. w00t!
*shudders* I said it . . . with the zeros!
–Alice
i can’t do NaNo…. so im writing a story that i will soon post on here that none of you wil read because it has nothing to do with NaNo…am i rite? The stories about vampires so im calling it “Full Blooded Moon”
What is NaNo? Never heard of it before.
See https://musefanpage.com/blog/?p=1085 and www. nanowrimo. org.
18- *is a USian* It has felt like fall here since end of sept/begining of oct.
maybe cause it is fall?
Bye, everyone! *cries eyes out* Fare thee well, until tomorrow or whenever I manage to get on next.
I think *now* I’m suffering withdrawal symptons.
l’ve been gone for to days. But l’m back. Hi.
I just spent five minutes outside with a flashlight and an ash stick. Coyotes: I can hear them. Caterwauling and crying. They usually do it around 1 in the morning. Coyotes make me nervous. Actually, the thought of coyotes makes me nervous. I think: “If I let Duncan out now, he could be mauled by coyotes much more vicious than he.” I go outside with an ash stick, because it sounds as though they’re very close, but no, none can be seen. I go back inside because a. it’s very cold and b. I could be mauled by coyotes much more numerous than myself, even if I do have something the size, material, and approximate shape of a baseball bat.
AH! Go to albinoblacksheep because there’s a very scary picture of a bunny.
I had too much halloween candy today. *is hyper*
Yes, you read my name correctly. This post is a figment of your imagination.
While I’m here, though, 1889 words and 5 hours of sleep so far today.
I’m so tired… this ha not been a good week for sleeping, but I stayed up last night, because my sleep cycles are already screwed up, another day can’t hurt more, right?
But other MuseBloggers have over 3000 words (note how they’re the ones not posting), so I depart for another maybe as much as an hour of writing.

edit: I think I stopped the computer before the post was sent, forgot to add:
NaNoers, how do you upload the scrambled document for word count? I’ve just been using Microsoft Word’s toolbar, but I’d like to see how the official one differs.
21- awwww alice! *sends hugs over the internet* how are things going? i heard about youre house and am worried. i know i’m just typed words to you but you mean so much to me i hate o see you hurting!
Aw. Everyone has over one thousand. I got 943.
25- we are not so different you and i….
…… some MBer said one time “I’d live in Toronto but it’s so cold!” *chuckles(if you want cold go to winipeg)* so i was kinda making fun of US=warm. but as usual it didn’t work.
next year i should do NaNo! well, if i had the time and didn’t get kicked off the computer by my evil twin!
(35) Hey, that’s twice what you had a little while ago! And you’re only a short jump from a thousand. Take a few sentences to describe one of your characters or the setting, and you’ll cross that 4-figure divide easily.
But please, everyone, let’s keep the NaNo discussion on the NaNo thread for the sake of those who aren’t involved with it.
Oh my gosh! So excited about NaNo! But OH SO BUSY!! I have a report I have barely started do in less than a week, I have two weeks to read a 250 page book(which may be easy for some of you, but YOU DON’T HAVE MY SCHEDULE), wrestling is starting up quick, I have to read 3 chapters in a book by Monday, but I will be gone all weekend on a mission trip to San Francisco. AND I have NaNoWriMo! Oh wait… already mentioned that. I also have tons of geometry homework and physical science homework every night, and Boy Scouts on Tuesdays, and soccer on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and temporary sugar rushes from Halloween candy and… AAARGH!
35-I only have, like, 500 words typed so far. I am not trying to do the whole 50,000 word goal because I am doing the Young Writers’ Program. So don’t feel bad!!! Is anyone else doing YWP? If so, has anyone’s computer been freezing up when they try to get on it?
37-Oh sorry. I’ll move this topic to the NaNo thread.
36- you have an evil twin?
37-That’s the problem. I took up fourteen sentances describing Rosetta’s friends and aquaintances. Although they are kind of interesting… that’s too much. *sadly deletes*
I’m at 1,087, but hopefully I’ll have a couple hundred more by lights out in half an hour…. is there a seperate NaNoWriMo thread? -checks-
39 – I for one have no need for evil twins. I can be evil all by myself
After looking at that page, I have concluded that NaNoWriMo is one of the craziest and most awesome things I have ever heard of. Who came up with that? I would like to shake their hand.
(43) A guy named Chris Baty wrangled some of his friends into taking the challenge. That was in 1999 if I remember correctly. It grew from there. This year they’re expecting upwards of 90,000 to participate. The history on the web site is an interesting and funny read.
Wow, the title of this thread has people thinking this is the nano thread. And I almost forgot I was on the right thread! Too confusing…
*harg* It probably seems I’m off doing nano, but I’m glad I’m not. My absence is just from normal november madness!
Yesterday we went on a field trip to snip city! Heheh…
He’ll understand…
We had very few trick-or-treaters the day before yesterday. Mostly people from the direct neighborhood…
I have seven minutes before school starts, and I have t clean my room this evening, so if I can come on later today it is a miracle.
Tomorrow we have a hike in the morning, so no morning blogging, and then the company comes, but Sunday…GASP! FREEE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I shall come on as soon as I can Sunday! Yes!
So if you’re looking for me on other threads, that’s when you’ll find me
Pies!
Red-tailed HAWK

Last year they started Script Frenzy. You have to write a 20,000-word screenplay or stage-play in the month of June. It’s not quite as fun as NaNo, but it is equally insane.
Ick, I was home sick yesterday and today, I have a fever and my throat has gunk in it. I was supposed to go camping with my family tonight and all weekend, but now I have to stay home and study for my math test and get a science project done. *sigh*
Halloween was so much fun, my friends and I got so much candy!!!! I dressed up as a dancing pig, I had pink leotard and tights on and a lime green tutu and a pig nose, tail and ears. I went to our Halloween parade too, but my math teacher decided to have the math test the day after Halloween so I went home and studied like mad, only to find out the next day that I was sick and had to stay home from school. Sorry, no more complaints.
Hmm. The italics on my last post went all crazy. Oh well.
47 (Dancergirl) – Me too! (as in being home sick yesterday and today). I hope you feel better!
47, 48- Jeez, that sucks. I’m most terribly sorry. Suddenly, coming home from a strenuous day and finding that your dog has crapped on the bathroom floor and you have to clean it up doesn’t seem so bad.
Sorry for the double post, I just wanted to say that I really like the random thread picture. I’m not sure why, it just makes me really happy whenever I see it
…or maybe it’s just because I’m not scared away by the bunny borg.
Ahhhhh… Friday.
Nooooo… guitar lessons.
CONFLICTING FEELINGS IS MUSHING MAI BRAIN.
But on the bright side, I can do all my 4 pages of homework Sunday afternoon.
I’m reading this book called The Seems. The authors came to my school and I got one’s autograph. Yay! And I got his email and he gave me tips on writing. Huzzah!

49-May I use the title of Ultimate Supreme Executive Chairman for my NaNo?
Ack!!! Will the GAPA’s kindly reopen the Poetry thread, or simply give me permission to post my poem here, please?
I’ve reopened it. It’s always a joy when a long-dormant thread comes back to life:
https://musefanpage.com/blog/?p=93
48-Oh no!!! I hope you feel better!!!
Everyone go to the scary story thread, I finally posted the one I have been dying to share.
52 (Beavo) – What’s that for? Can I be in it?
55 (Robert) – Why do you close threads? Is there a specific reason?
(57) A lot of threads fell victim to a thread-closing virus unleashed as a by-product of the April 1 bunny invasion.
58- *bruu* that was awful!
52~ Ahem, I’m not funny?! I’d also say that the GAPAs have a major impact on the blog, but do they get recogintion?
Hmm, on the liberary computer again, it’s disconcertingly fast.
57-It’s for my MuseCast entry. Everyone on MB can vote on one competitor for each category, and the winners I will record.
60-I didn’t nominate at all. I just recorded the results. And the GAPAs chose not to participate (I think). We love them so.
61 (Beavo) – Hmm. *is confused* Where is this all taking place? (The voting, I mean)
58 (Robert) – Ahh, I see. Those darn bunnies…
Er, I mean, nice bunnies… *shiftyeyes*
could we all vote under the username anonymous voter?
61~ I was just joking. I do that periodically. I didn’t even know that these were going on….. How oblivious am I?!
61-… umm yea. *confuzzlement* can i be entered?
52- *refuses to vote*
I hate homework.
Spanish words are gradually becoming part of my vocabulary, and I don’t even think about it.
65-Sorry, nominations over. Voting time.
THE MIRACLE HAS OCCURED! I MADE IT!
Voting again? Phooey. Can you understand that some people are going to get wrapped up in winning or losing in such a pointless thing anyway? And then they’ll be sad? I’m not saying I’m one, but it just doesn’t seem fair. We should all be equal
like on animal farm64-You? Joke? NO!
58-OH THAT WAS SO FUN YEAH! SOrry nobody else liked it, though! *takes advantage of lovely bunny smiley*

Pulled up the tomatoes yesterday. They lasted really long! *gw*
Red-tailed HAWK

I’m not voting either…I don’t really want to participate in a “I’m-better” type of thing.
I think I’ve become obsessed with Stupid Senseless Smiley Stories. I’ve been thinking about them all day…
Phooey, that sentence doesn’t seem right. They lasted a really long time…
There are days when no sentence would look right to me…
Red-tailed HAWK

53- Go ahead. I didn’t even invent it.
OH man, I think I ate too much candy, and considering I have a fever and a horribly sore throat that isnt good. When is my mom going to get home?! ARG! *pulls hair out* I want pizza and movies!!!
HI EVERYBODY! Good old gim here…*collapses on floor for non-MBing abuse*…ugh…I really need to lay off that stuff…
…I don’t especially wish to vote either. eh.
Slow thread… everyone’s probably too busy NaNoing…
You know what small pleasures I enjoy? The way you feel after exercising, and driving at night with the windows open and rock music and the wind in your face. I like that.
76- Absolutely! I enjoy that most every time I drive, when it isn’t so cold. There’s something extremely satisfying about playing something like Kashmir or Because it’s Midnite (Limozeen) with the windows down. It’s a feeling like “Nobody can touch how awesome I am right now.”
Hi! I have returned!!!!!!!
Guess what everyone?!
I have strep throat, and I will probably have to miss school again!!! JOY!!! *sigh* Not really, I hate missing school, too much make up working and confuzzling stuff to do.
Are you feeling better Purple Panda?
79 (Dancergirl) – yeah, for the most part. It was probably the worst cold I’ve ever had, though.
I hope you feel better! Strep throat isn’t fun…
at least it isn’t computer-contagious
I HAVE AN ANNOUNCMENT! so read quickly: the September 2007 issue has a picture of an elephant on it, rite? Am I correct in assuming that this drawing is an ancient depiction of an Indian Elephant god? Wel in its hand is the Natzi’s symbol ( i forget wat it’s called) i could be very wrong but in that case the administrators wont post this or they will just to make a fool of me….. you will tell me if i’m wrong, rite?
39- yeah actually, my bro is so anoying and he’s my twin therefore he be my evil twin.
52- WHY DO YOU ALWAYS SPELL MY NAME WRONG????????? IT’S REALLY ANOYING! HOW WOULD YOU LIKE IT IF I CALLED YOU BEEVO OR BEAO OR SOMETHING? GET IT RIGHT FOR ONCE!
79- ouch! i had strepthoat in gr.7 or something and the doctor was all like “i think it’s strepthroat but it could be mono” it wasn’t mono but if it had been i’d know who to blame
82- actualy it’s an acient buddist symbol but reversed it is the swaztika. note about that issue: the day before i got that issue in my paper there was this thing about that god and these sculptures this guy did of them (oooohh… descriptive words kathleen)
thank u, that bothered me for the better part of a month
82- it does look like a nazi thing, but I think they copied it from the hundio. GAPAS?
hah. i forgot to mention what i did yesterday. I WENT SKATING! for the first time in about five years. i fell A LOT and on the same knee too! i have this bruise on my right knee and this GINORMOUSE blister on my heel. i only fell on my butt once though although it hurt ubermuch. and my left wrist hurts from falling. but overall it was fun. i was wearing figure skates which was anoying but ah well… twas fun….
So ebeth’s latest crazy exploit…bill and i had been tossing around the idea of a picnic on the roof of the school for a while. I’d been up there (you may or may not have read about that infamous latin class, last day of school last year) and i like it up there. so we got cheese and hewitt to come too, and we went to penn station around 7, but the others decided it was too cold to eat outside so we ate at penn station. For a bit we thought they’d actually locked the school for once, but it was just that they’d left the opposite side door unlocked. Probably to prevent high schoolers from getting in to the middle school dance, which, as we soon saw, was in the cafeteria. We peeked in at the awkwardness (boy side/girl side FTW) and considered crashing just to laugh at people, but it was actually pretty bright in there (for a dance) so we didn’t. the first gate was unlocked, so we got through to my locker to grab my coat and blank cds that i’d left, and then we went upstairs. that gate was locked, so we walked across the floor to the other staircase, which was unlocked as usual. The doors into the main part of the third floor were locked, unusually, but that was ok because the window we needed was right there next to the girl’s bathroom. It opened much more easily than it had last year, i guess they’ve cleaned it or something more recently. Or maybe it was just because there were two of us lifting it up instead of just me. We stuck our coats on the windowsill in case somebody came along and tried to shut it (we didn’t have a rock or anything to shove in there, we forgot) and went on out. we wandered around it for a while. We actually went the opposite way from where i’d gone…i’d just walked down the flat part to doc’s room and waved at everyone, and checked out the huge vent thing and suchlike, but we climbed up the ladder to the next highest level and found pretty shiny skylights. hewitt was like “i keep expecting one of them to go fwoosh and open and some alien to come out” Then we sat around for a while on the ledge from the higher level to the lower one and talked, and then we got cold and decided to go to somebody’s house. After we got down to the first floor, we found that somebody had locked the gate, but we found a janitor to unlock it for us. Cheese had brought speakers, so we walked around singing free bird and dream on at the top of our lungs (it’s very likely people thought we were drunk, we were singing so horribly). We stopped by hewitt’s house to see if he had blazing saddles, but they’d returned it so we went on to bill’s. we played pictionary for a while, and then we watched clue (tim curry ftw. also, we decided that johnson (our band director) could definitely have been a butler like that in his past life). then we went home and i realized how horribly behind i was on nano, but i slept instead of working on it. Just like i’m telling this story now instead of working on it. *sigh* i’m still over 1000 words behind *dies*
my day was boring… my friend called but i still have a sneaking suspision my mom’s paying her to do that
78-Hi!
79-NOO!!! *condolence pies*
83-Yeah, technically, my name is Red-tailed HAWK, not Red-Tailed HAWK. The doctor thought I had mono when it is really the lyme.
86-Almost a year ago I went skating for my first time. After about 50 times going around the rink hanging on the wall, I started going in smaller and smaller circles until I was almost to the center. I fell many times! I was very sore afterward! And I did fall right on my butt too. I’m surprised I didn’t break off my “tail”!
87-Add that to our story! It’s…different…and long! There you go!
Red-tailed HAWK

83-I am truly sorry, Kagcomix . My sincere appologies.
Nothing to do tonight. Everyone I usually talk to online is doing NaNo or is at the swing dance, but my mom said she was too tired to take me. My parents are in bed so I can’t practice or listen to music And I finished my book. I feel like doing nothing for another hour until certain people get home from the aforementioned dance. Which is pathetic. I’m going to go look for a book.
I made meatloaf.
Also tomorrow is the fall back thing so my computer clock will once again be correct instead of confusing the crap out of me. Yay. :D
He’d better come online when he gets home or I’ll feel so dumb.
TIME CHANGE!!
I have to go to bed now. I’ll see you all tomorrow! *pies*
‘Night GAPAs! *hugs+pies*
Red-tailed HAWK

I was in a Strep Throat study in third and fourth grade, and literally the entire year of fourth grade I had strep throat, no joke. I think they were giving it to me. I didn’t have any symptoms, though, because they swabbed you every week and gave you medicine and such.
My doctor thought I had mono when I had Crohn’s Disease. Do they assume you have it for *everything*?
Ew. My friend claims to have Staph Infection *rubbish*.
82- Are you referring to Ganesha when you say “elephant god?”
87- wow, your roof seems easier to acces than ours. ours you need one key to get to but I suppose it is fairly easy with only the tiny spiral staircase to the auditorium catwalk then the ladder from that to the roof. one bit of advice. don’t walk on top of skylights, they might break. then you could fall and die. that sounds awesome though. I love going onto rooftops at night
There’s actually a drug-resistant staph infection going around my mom’s work. She teaches at a performing arts conservatory and there are all sorts of dance floors and stuff so it’s really easy to spread. *shudder*
90- thanks for the apollagy.
96-yeah, that would be bad. no we just walked around between them and stared at the prettiness.
and oh catwalks, what interesting things…our catwalk just leads up to the second floor though. bit boring, really. it’s like *creepyspiralstaircaseness* *creepycatwalkynarrowdarkness* *outdoor* oh heeyy, mr. science teacher whose room this door leads right outside of…
98-goshdarnit, why can’t people ever spell my name right?
kidding kagy, ♥
100- lols. everyone should expect bad spelling from me! honestly! when do i type words corectly spelled?NEVER!
96-My dad was getting leaves from the top of the roof, and he stepped over my skylight in the bathroom, and I went into hysterics screaming about death. Then again, I was seven… (I’m a poet and I didn’t know it!)
101-I think you spelled everything right in that sentance (save the *ahem* punctuation).
Meh I am finally back on!!!! Though knowing me, it will probably be a good 4 hours untill I am grounded from the computer again.
It’s 70 degrees, and It’s November, something here is wrong.
87- That’s why I don’t go to middle school dances.
102- i take creative liberties with my spelling and punctuation!
97- I think stuff about that was in the newspaper today. Either WSJ or the Chicago Tribune.
102-and correctly
104-weer kewl withe creeativ spleling heer…loke att teh PB&J
97: Yikes! Somebody at my school had the MRSA staph infection, but that was two weeks ago and we haven’t heard that anybody else got it. So hopefully it was an isolated case.
Cross country is over now. very depressing.
Now I have all sorts of time after school, but I still put off all my homework. (Well really, why on earth would I go to school for seven hours and then come home and do two hours of homework?!)
I haven’t been on here in a while… and I actually read the whole thread.
I’m not doing NaNo. I barely have enough time as it is, without writing a novel.
I’m really hungry, because of the time change. I had an early lunch, but we’re having dinner at the normal time. (so it feels like 7:30, but it’s actually 6:30).
The Point Park University outbreak made the Chicago newspapers? Eep!
I came into my parents bedroom just now *snigger* and they were watching foxes attack a cayote and kill it. Ew.

What do you think?
By the way, just thought I should mention that November 18th is my (official) one-year MB anniversary. I might, if I remember, post my blog history.
111- Hmmm. That sounds interesting, and it might be useful when wanting to know more about the denizens of the MB. Ask the GAPAS!
110- Weeeeiiird… it might have been a different outbreak though.
It sounds cool, but it would make a TON of work for the GAPAs.
111- Cool, but maybe sometime the GAPAs aren’t busy. I know some of them are nanoing… And it would only be for currently active bloggers, lots of people aren’t here anymore. It goes with Muse Wiki in the list of things which would be cool but aren’t likely to happen.
Staph- A school near us had some of that, we don’t but the district sent out a notice saying everything was fine.

Ow. My anivirsary (ONE YEAR! IT’S A STALKER!) was on October 18th. I missed all the pies!
Wow, okay.
How do you get to the prejudice quiz thing? l googled it and the test l took seemed like it was written by an old, demented, senile, brain-damaged shoe.
114 and others-That one person’s description is as long as the current who’s here list! And where do those extra threads go?
People already complain when the GAPAs don’t get their names up the instant they want them. I think what you have posted is exactly what the Muser Profiles thread is for. Maybe if the GAPAs happened to have a lot of time on their hands, they could make links from our names to the post we made, but all of thsoe threads and adding stuff…I mean, the GAPAs are busy …
117-Yes! I can’t understand this-has the profiles thread been abandoned for so long people don’t remember it exists? I’m going to check…
Red-tailed HAWK

i like ice cream!
i got a kitty today!
har har har! she’s a black cat and her name is tuesday, she’s sweet!
You got her on Monday and named her Tuesday? Won’t she grow up confused?
119-Oh belive me, it was.
121-Awww. I really don’t like cats (you should see the five year old scars on both legs from “Sparky”, more like “Scary” but…) but kittens are pwnsome enough for me.
Hi all, I’m writing this from the liberary computer, since our internet is dow. I won’t be on for awhile, maybe a week or so. Ugh….
When I’m back I’ll read and respond to whatever’s been going on without me. Hugs and pies to all!!!!
124-Hope your computor gets better! *apple pies*
Sorry to brag but…
I GOT A 4.0!
Right. Moving on. Um… nothing to talk about except NaNo.
Does anybody even care if I post anymore? Seriously, does anybody read my comments?
127-I read them! Yes, I do. I just replied to you just now on the R&R thread. And just as a reminder, the 18th is your BlogDay.
Sometimes I kinda feel ignored too, but I guess I’m not. I hope.
Yes, the 18th is my Blogday, a fact that only you and I seem to have noticed…
Hmm, I wonder if people will notice now…? This might also prove if people read My posts.
129-I noticed!!!!
130- lol. You seriously have no idea how much that just cheered me up.
132-I tend to do that when I’m in a good mood. I can’t ever seem to cheer myself up, because when I’m depressed I take a box of magazines and paper and shred them one. by. one.
why is no one ever on now?
Exept for us and the GAPAs.
l’ve discovered something.
California time:
8:30 to 9:00 nobody posts.
9:00- 10:20 Nobody moderates.
But then, after 10:20, someone moderates and the posts shoot up.
Raven of the Hawk, I always notice your posts. I hope I haven’t been ignoring you. I think I especially notice your posts, becuase of your name, and…well, I hope I haven’t been afraid to respond to your posts becuase I might call you a boy! Sorry about that, again, even though I somehow feel it won’t make up for it.
When I write my posts I purposely word them so I avoid needing to mention gender at all. It’s very complicated with the various names here, I mean, technically boys don’t own raptor names, RotH proves that, so people might not know I’m a boy.
121-kt! You’re back! I had been just wondering about you, and others who were at the kokonvention.
124-*sends computer medicine* We lost internet, oh, probably over a month ago now. For, many days, I thought I would die. Somehow I lived, without even going on a library computer. Which brings up something, when you go on the computer for looking up books and try to get to MuseBlog, it lets you see it for two seconds, then jumps back to the catalog. If they want you to use other computers, it isn’t foolproof obviously!
Red-tailed HAWK

Yes!!!!!!! Ihave not gotten computer grounded yet!!!!!!
I’ve got a kitten. He’s named Jack. And he’s orange and fuzzy and otherwise very cute. and he’s new.
I hate time changes. They are weird. And they screw me up.
Sometimes I feel like no one reads my posts. I will post some story and ask for constructive critisism, and NO ONE will post anything, like it is not there.
130-Wait, what is a blog day?
139-The day someone came to MuseBlog. Mine’s on October somthing.
GAPAs, can you please tell me how to get a page like What’s Here? On wordpress, I mean.
140-Oh. thank you Beavo
my sleep cycle is messed up. i went to be at 10:15 and woke up at 7:45. Have you realized I don’t have school? w00t for reasonless Institute Days!
My schedule is messed up too…I was sick on Thursday and Friday, so pretty much slept and NaNoed all day. Then Saturday and Sunday were the weekend, so I stayed up late and woke up late, then yesterday I didn’t have school because I had a Model UN conference, and then I went to school in the evening for a performance. Today, I don’t have school. It’s going to be really weird going to school on Wednesday…
Museblog is blocked in China! I used Great Firewall of China and couldn’t get through. Guess we won’t have any Chinese bloggers.

Vendaval (145): Well, given that we are fomenting Kokonspiracy, it’s not surprising MuseBlog is censored.
But more seriously, I don’t know anything about how China’s censors make the decision to block a Web site. You’ve made me curious, though.
why whould they block us? are we to democtaic for them?
146-i checked, and we’ve been unblocked
also, what’s really interesting is i could see Vendeval’s test results too. it said at the bottom the date she checked it and “blocked” and then today and “unblocked”
148- maybe the communist Chinese gov. was watching the blog to see if we had a date for planned World Domintaion. And when they realized that we were catching on, they stopped blocking it.
I just came back from seeing HP3. It was so much better with that director, although I think Dumbledore was played better by Richard Harris. But he died, so….
Re: MB blocked in China-That sounds like an interesting hacking project *puts on gloves* Bwahahaha, they shall never know!
But really, that sounds like an interesting research project. Hacking would be funner, of course.
150-I didnt like the 3rd movie, he kinda ruined the story. But of course I read the books, and I dont know if you have soo………..
huh it came up as blocked when I tried it. i typed in the blog’s main url.
(141) Go to WordPress’s “Manage > Pages” menu and hit the button that says “Create New Page.”
36- I am the evil twin!!!
150- hasn’ the 5th movie already come out? just curious
Thats so wierd about China but, hey, they have a reason. Im studying immigration and the Chinese Exclusion Act in school and that’s just the tip of the iceberg
94- *gives long Staph spiel given to her by her teachers*
96- That’s what happened to Montmorency/Scarper!
102- How ironic. It’s sentence.
111- I think the GAPAs would be overworked trying to keep that up. It’s fine as it is. But it looks like a poll, and polls=fun. So I’ll do it.

I want ice cream very badly. I’ve been dying for it for days and days. But I must save my money for the Shakespeare Festival. I must.
I have a job now. I’m a dishwasher as my mother’s place of work.
The other day in Acting, I got to polish silver! It quickly lost its appeal (after about 2 knives), and I have a rather large cut on the top of my thumb from a double-edged knife that only looked as if it had one edge. There are also bleach stains on my pants. Dang it.
who doesn’t have bleach stains? they are a common occurence, mostly becuase I AM A TARGET FOR ALL THINGS MOVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i apologize…. i had a moment
Whoop! I’m writing this from dad’s new iPod touch… sigh… I want one. They’re pretty sweet. Though rather hard to type on,though that’s to be expected, since they squeezed theentire keyboard into a 1.5 by 2 inch space. LoL… It also took me a while to figure out how to do capitals on this thing.
But I still want one. …actually I’M kind of surprised by how quickly this page loaded considering the miniscule size of the iPod…
‘Kay I’m going now. Later (and probably not from an iPod…)!
151-I have all seven, in a pretty boxed set.
I’ve read them so many times that the binding of seven is coming off, and I got it this summer.
Everyone in my grade is auditioning for a ridiculous play. I thought it was really corny and decided not to. hehehehe
On another ramdom note, neopets is oddly amusing. I have no idea why.
159- What play?
135- why? do you live in California? but yeah i know what you mean.
154- not my evil twin! but are you a twin? cool!
today was take your kid to work day. as my mom works from home and my father is currently unemployed/looking for a job i went teaching with my mom’s friend. it was fun. I’m actualy pretty anoyed. me&my father had planned that i would go with him and learn the ways of the actuary. meh. does anyone know what an actuary is?
161- I’m not too sure, but I think they calculate the likelihood that something will happen.
GAPAs, can you tell if posts under the same name come from different IP addresses? What if someone impersonated another blogger? Not that I’m thinking of doing it, but I’m just interested.
162-They can tell if your email is different, and you couldn’t impersonate unless you have someone’s email. Oh, yeah, I just checked. They can tell your IP address. I have my own WP blog.
An article I wrote about Desmond Tutu is going to be printed in the newspaper tomorrow! He visited Pittsburgh a few weeks ago, and I wrote an article about it. Yay!
Has anyone wandered over to the Musers Recommend thread and seen my recommendation? I recommend you do and tell me what you think over there.
November is awesome in Boston because the New England Patriots are undefeated, Boston College is #9, The Celtics are leading the division, The Sox are world champions (in ur face yankees fans), and the bruins don’t suck as much as they usually do! also we get a lot of days off from school.
Once upon a time there was a thermos with hot coffee in it, and the thermos said, “Even though it is cold outside, I can keep the coffee inside me piping hot for as long as it stays there, because I am insulated,” because the thermos was very proud of its insulation, but it said this while it was resting on a counter next to a thermostat, and the thermostat heard the thermos and said, “I hear tell that you can keep coffee inside you hot even when it’s cold out,” and the thermos said, “Where did you hear that?” and the thermostat said, “From you, just now,” and the thermos said, “Oh, ok.”
Well the thermostat said, “You have an important job, regulating the temperature of the coffee inside you, but I’m in charge of regulating the temperature of the entire household, because I am so much more powerful,” and the thermos felt dwarfed by the unimaginable power of the thermostat, and then he got to thinking what it would feel like if the entire household was stuffed inside him, and he got nauseous just thinking about it. Because, let’s face it, no one wants to have the contents of an entire household inside one, unless of course one is an actual house.
The thermostat said, “I am so powerful that I can singlehandedly make your job easier or more difficult, because I control the temperature you must insulate from the coffee inside you,” and the thermos said, “Whoa,” and the thermostat said, “Allow me to demonstrate,” and the thermostat turned itself way up, and it became scorching hot inside the house, and the thermos said, “You are right, because now that the household is very hot, it is much easier to keep the coffee inside me hot.” But then the thermostat said, “Now watch this,” and turned itself way down, and the house became freezing cold, and the thermos worked and worked and worked and worked and worked but sensed little bits of cold seeping past its defenses, and the coffee said, “Hey, what’s the big idea?” and if the thermos had had a face, it would have been taut from exertion, but it didn’t, so it wasn’t.
The thermos said, “It is too difficult to keep the coffee inside me hot. Please turn the temperature of the household back up,” but the thermostat said, “Fat chance! Now I will teach you the error of your boastful ways,” and turned itself down even further, until it was utterly frigid, and in time the thermos failed completely, and the coffee said, “Aahh!” and froze solid and burst open the thermos and killed it.
The moral of this story would be, “Don’t be boastful, or someone will come along and make coffee freeze inside of you,” but just then some people came home and found the house freezing cold with busted water pipes and everything, and they bought a new thermostat and threw the old one away, and later the thermostat (the old one, that is) was lying in a landfill somewhere, and the sun beat down on it, and it got really hot, and the thermostat said, “It’s too hot here,” and turned itself down, only the temperature didn’t go down because the thermostat wasn’t connected to anything, and it lay there and got sunburnt.
The moral of this story would be, “Don’t abuse the power you are given, or someone will take it away and throw you in a landfill,” but just then a little girl came by and saw the sunburnt thermostat and said, “This sunburnt thermostat looks like a rose,” which it did, except for being kind of angular and having a temperature gauge on it and electrical wiring sticking out the back. So the little girl took it home and put it in a vase of water on her dresser.
The moral of this story would be, “Never despair, because no matter how bad things look, a little girl might come along and put you in a vase of water,” but just then the little girl’s mom came by and saw the thermostat and threw it away, and the thermostat wound back up in the landfill.
And the thermostat thought to itself, “Now that I am lying helpless in a landfill, I have learned the true moral of my story,” only nobody ever found out what it was, because just then somebody came by and stepped on it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I found this. Don’t ask where.
160- The Quiet Place or something like that. I seemed really old and really over dramatic and corny.
167- Must…not….ask….where….weird story…..came from……
166- Meh. Me not so thrilled with Pats. They run up the score repeatedly. It’s not so fun to watch.
Part one of Raven’s blog history: The first post.
I can remember this very easily. My first post was on the homework thread, and I was complaining about a health assignment where I had to write a letter as If I had died in a car accident with a drunk driver. I found the actual post, too:
#
46. Random Dark Cloud | November 18th, 2006 at 2:19 pm
Yay. My first blog post. But anyways. I hate my health teacher. He gave an incredibly stupid and depressing assignment. We have to pretend that we died in an “alcohol-related car crash”, and that we are writing a letter to our parents from the “afterlife”, saying that we are sorry for drinking at a party and being an idiot and getting in a car with a drunk driver. THIS IS SO STUPID. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO IMAGINE A SITUATION LIKE THAT? Anybody have some advice?
I had no more posts on that thread apparently. Part Two coming soon.
I’m saving up to get a wii. while it may prove to be the source of undo-able and unforgivable puns, I am aboot…ummm…$130 away. but it’s planned out. The main reason I wrote that was that supposedly you can access internet from it, and I could type posts from it. If I ever am typing posts from it, I’ll let you know.
I am exhausted for no apparent reason. I turned off my alarm and then went back to sleep. Not a good idea.
Anyway, I probably should be getting ready for school right now, but I still have 10 minutes.
You know something sad?
My new Spanish teacher taught us more in one month than our last one taught us in two years.
162- they work with pension plans!
Do people want me to continue my personal blog history?
174- That must be exciting!
175- Sure! It’s always interesting to hear people’s first blog posts, especially since I only joined in September!
175-Certainly!
I keep forgetting to mention: I joined the club the other day! I made my very own duct tape wallet. I passed out when I saw the $18.00 price tag on some in a store, and so then and there I vowed to make a better one!
It is very sturdy and thick. I used a lot of tape to make it strong and even, but not $18.00 worth!
Red-tailed HAWK
175 – Okay!
Is anyone else apalled at the fact that the GAPAs are restricting our freedom of speech? No 1337 and no binary? Next, they’ll make us all stand on our heads while we post…
first posts? mine was typically random and utterly lacking in sanity. oddly enough, the first name i used on here was ebeth, but uncapitalized. i think i like that better now that i think about it. Ebeth needs a title. ebeth is cool just being ebeth.
anyway, here ’tis
woah, hello this is cool! I hadn’t been on the muse site in ages and I came on looking for a pink bunny picture for my forum and BOOM!!!!! THE THUNDER CRASHETH!! MUSE HAS A BLOG AND I HAD NO CLUE!!! well anyhoo, here I am (finally) still smacking myself on the head for complete neglect of the lovely website *SLAP SLAP SLAP*
*falls over* woah, that was a pretty strong wind there blasting from the past…good times
(179) Actually, it’s more like telling you not to stand on your heads while you post: something that’s hard to do and that most of you aren’t interested in anyway. But don’t worry about that. We don’t care whether you post while sitting, standing, lying down, or turning cartwheels.
(180) Now, that brings back memories.
Ebeth (180): You were so cuuuuuuute! ahhh, good times.
did you know that apple censors bad stuff about the company?
I think you should do something about Fast Food – about where they get their stuff (slaughterhouses, etc) and the diseases you can get. I’m really interested in stuff like that.
My first *blog* post was not my first fan page post. That’s… very little me and I’m leaving it up to you to have the ambition to find it. My first *blog* post on the other hand is… here:
That sounds cool, Grant! My summer has consisted of reading books, going to MITY, going to a family reunion, and I will be taking drivers ed and visiting DC.
…rather boring actually. I’d advise you, though to me it is embarrassing, to seek out *truly* little me on the Gaboomba. You do know what it is, don’t you?
A mi me gusta ablar espanol.
Quien es puede ablar?
*evil laugh*
ThaT SHOULD DRIVE EVERY ONE WHO DOESNT KNOW SPANISH NUTS!!! d’OH STUPID CAPS LOCK.
186- pero, pues, puedo hablar español… Si. Y tambien, todos deben ir al site-web de Endicott porque es excelente y tambien ‘mostly harmless’ Ponia el URL en el thread de “Musers Recommend”
185 (oxlin) – I’ve read the entire Gaboomba, but I don’t remember your first post. I’ll go back through and look sometime, but not at the moment…all spare time goes to NaNo.
177- ooh, ooh me too!!!! I made a duct tape wallet. Actually, I made it out of Gorrilla Tape, which is way stronger. But it only comes in Black
The only thing is, what is the use of a wallet if there is anything in it…hmm…. I must fix this…
*looks over post* WoW I’m hyper.
The Sage does not get hyper.
My first post is too embarrassing for words(or posting)
Hi, guys. Sorry I haven’t posted in…a while. Anyway, the reason behind it is that I was
hired by the military to decode a secret message from the terrorists which eventually told me to get a sandwich from Mars so I did but them they wanted pizza so we had to invade Canada for some unexplained reason so we could get poison maple syrup to pour on the pizza so they would die and then we sent it and it worked so now I’m designing a superweaponaway.190- Nice. that’s all. i refuse to say more on the subject and i will leave you dying in suspence because you know i am thinking something incredibly funny but you can’t see past my cool additude (or your computer screen) to know waht im thinking. Wow, that was long.
You have no idea what goes thogh my head “per dium” nor do you want to know.. you would be ad nauseum
190- Hey, he didn’t disappear forever!
I’m being random today.
Speaking of people disappearing, where’s Grant been?
Part Two of Raven’s blog history: On Being A Newb
This part is kind of boring. I hung around for a few weeks after I started posting, and then I quietly disappeared. I believe I forgot about the blog, for a few months, anyways. I wasn’t really an important part of the blog then, and most of my post were one- or two- sentence posts or questions that had very little significance. And then, since I wasn’t nearly as MB-addicted as I am now, I took a three-month break, starting mid-December, and ending on March 27. For any of you who feel like finding some of my past posts, my name was Random Dark Cloud at that time.
Raven of the Hawk-Yes! Yes, We want to see your first post!
My first post was part of the Cha Cha Slide. I was really immature when I got here. REALLY IMMATURE. I’m gonna try to find it…again…
(185, 188) Ms. Widdershins was the sixth person to post on the Gaboomba. She arrived just after Morbid, I believe. You can read her first post here.
194- Dude, posts 170 and 193 are the first two parts of my blog history.
By the way, an addendum to Part Two:
My posts then seemed to have an energy that I seem to have lost. An energy that I have apparently replaced with apathy.
33-wait a sec, not thats theres anything wrong with it, but your a girl, right? and you wanna be a male model? please clarify. (or don’t, lol. its fine. )
36. Kagcomix | February 26th, 2007 at 5:26 pm
dark duke of darkness i shall clarify: yes i want to be a male model and as for my gender i’m a girl but most people in my class would like to disagree. the male model bit: okeeeeee lesseeee…. i draw short one page comics about my life and random stuff, i decided to do one about me being a male model because i get asked if i’m a guy or a girl a lot (even when my hair was 12 inches in a ponytail). i started out as i huge joke but now i realize that i could be a really hot male model. please don’t stomp on my dreams. being a male mogel would be the perfectjob for me….. except for underwear shoots…. i’d say no to those…..obviously
39. BurnedMuffins | February 26th, 2007 at 8:13 pm
Kagcomix….. please post your sad and twisted dreams of oppositegenderness on some other, sad, forgotten blog somewhere on Mars and DON’T TELL US!!!! sheesh!
47. Kagcomix | February 27th, 2007 at 5:21 pm
darkduke of darkness(42)- yes i would be a female male model. it’s a good job for me. i look more like a guy than i do like a girl…….sad but true……. see my post in the like/dislike thingy for my anger against those who think i’m a guy…..
burned muffins- i do not dream of oposite genderness. i dream of becoming a MALE MODEL not becoming a MALE. there’s a difference. i’m happy i’m a girl.
those were form muser profiles part2, and there was another post from ddod in therebut yeah
and i think i left the blog/ posted realy infrequintly until june/jully ish but i was there for HPB culture 1
Hi all! I’m back, if you missed me…..
To htose of you who were comcerned for the safety of my computer, rest assured, it’s okay. OPur internet connection expired, and we hadn’t ordered a new request form early enough….we get ours throught the local library.
Not too much gas been going on, other than desprately missing MB, of course. So, I’ll go see what else is going on around here.
I’m afraid the computer is going to shut down on me!! Boo Hiss!!!!!!!!!
198-October Foliage, 2006. Part three, methinks.
202-That was mega confusing. Male Girl Model? I’m not even going to ask. *dosn’t ask, and really dosn’t want an answer*
I see what you mean by being mistaken for a guy, because I was in the bathroom at my old Elementary school, and when I walked out a teacher said “Did you notice the sign? GUYS.” and then blushed an walked away really fast. I guess it’s my sexy moustache. Just kidding, I don’t have a moustache. Maybe it was my Axe Clix. I doubt that girls wear Axe Clix.
205- lols. but it is waaaaay scaryier when people harass you because they think you’re a guy (has happened and was scary) but yeah… i would be such a hot man!
Since people have been reminiscing about HPB Culture, here’s another picture by Capricious, inspired by the famous MBer light bulb joke.
From top down, the characters are Bernie, Harold, and Dawn. Hmm. Bernie’s t-shirt looks familiar….
207- Heeheehee! Oh, and while you’re at it, what does “intercission” mean?
That’s AMAZING!!
I like the shirt on the top bunny
209- Is that the “Mostly Harmless” logo? That thread is dying.
But only one of them is hot pink……. i still love the cartoon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tempus fugit, and until tomorrow (thats not what th quote means, that means “time flies”) Farewell until our blogging path crosses! (tomorrow)
Kaggy, remembering your male model aspirations is reminding me of my character. no, not a nano character. She’s just the sort to have male model aspirations and her initials spell K A G. Yup.
206-*raises eyebrows* Don’t worry, I’ve been harrased plenty.
207-:lol: Bwahahaha! The Hot Pink Bunnies have taken over popular jokes!
Gotta love the shirt.
Why did the HPB cross the road?
Capricious, It would be appreciated if you could make more HPB pictures and contribute to the research of HPBs. Check out the new thread!
Today had some exciting firsts. I fell headfirst down the stairs, blacked out, went to the e.r., and had a CT scan.
Okay, not so much :D. It was boring, pointless, I didn’t get to go see AtU again, and my head hurts. Oh well.
216 (Margaret) – Eek! I’m glad you’re okay! *sends feel-better love*
I love warm Saturday mornings in November sitting in the only heated room in my house and reading the MB.
Nice pice, cappy!
216- Yowches! Concussion?
l’m going to big sur for 2 days to camp. Bye!
Part 3 of Raven’s Blog History: The Not-So-Triumphant Return/ April Fools
So, as previously mentioned, I left mid-December, and returned on March 31. Here is my return post, which got the most response of any comments I have ever posted. It was on the (first) Romance and Relationships Thread.
I need some advice. About love, or maybe just life in general. I’m in high school, so of course I’ve met a lot of interesting people. I fell in love with a junior, the head of the Model UN team at my school. One of my friends is also friends with him and found out that this guy that I like is gay. That was about a week ago. I can’t seem to get over this. I don’t want to go back to school. I just want to disappear. I need some help. Anybody have any advice?
Many people gave me words of advice, and tried to be comforting, including FS. Of course, it didn’t help matters that I came back one day before the April Fools Day prank.
Speaking of April Fools, I got just a tad upset by that. I tried “fighting” the bunnies with my “secret weapons”, including random topics and individuality(to fight the crushing conformity of the bunnies). I also refused to give in to the pink by repeatedly posting the word “BLACK” on the Think Pink thread. I finally gave up “fighting” when the blog returned to normal on April 2nd. This combined parts 3 and 4 of my history.
My History:
I: The Pie War
II: Museica
III: RRRs
IV: Branching Out
V: NaNoWriMo
That’s it so far.
207- OMG THAT IS SOOOOO AMAZING CAPPY!!!!!! I LOVE YOUR ART YOU ART SO ABSOLUTELY FABULOUSE! *sends love over internet*
213- i’m confused… is it a character in something you’re writing that isn’t NaNo?
and cappy you are probably the best computer artist i have ever met!
216-Ow! I did that when I was about three. I then proceded to my room to give all of my stuffed animal “Dog” scans and “Worm” scans.
(220) RotH — You fought valiantly using ingenious weapons against humorless conformity. The moderators, who were having problems of their own that day, commend your efforts.
224- I remember being part of that resistance. My favorite weapon was this part, from the Bunny RRR.
The backdrop of the blog burst, and in rushed the Sea Roc on a colossal wave. Captain Octavio Pye stood dauntlessly at the helm. “So these are the landlubbers that closed down our RRR thread!” he yelled. “Let’s teach them a lesson!”
Cannons fired in blasts of purple smoke.
Caelan, Terenika and Sigmund crashed through the gap, fresh from RRR, 2007.1, and gave the surviving bunnies a good trouncing. Then Elanor, Lance, Emburr and Intinier swept in from v. 2006.6. Even the bravest bunnies ran headlong, but found their retreat blocked by a grim horde of afareet from the original RRR.
Not to mention the Zeppelmandarin III, the Ravangars, and the hostages that I painted forest green.
I actually had a good time being part of the resistance. I wonder what surprise the GAPAs have cooked up for 2008
Hola, amigos! ?Que pasa? (I apologize for the wrong-way-up question mark but I don’t know how to make it the right way up.)
Life here is fine. Apparently the gas prices have risen to ridiculous heights but for a girl who rides in a car roughly once every two weeks and rides public busses or walks the rest of the time, it hardly matters.
Languages are doing weird things to my brain; I have an almost irrestible urge to shout out random phrases in Spanish and I can no longer pronounce things the English way.
Last night was the opening night of The Dining Room (a play for which I am house managing). It was not a perfect production, nor was it an outright fiasco. I shall now relate the tale.
I had an unreasable number of ushers, and I haven’t the slightest idea who ushered and who did not. H was late, SC could not come and so sent two people in her place, and the director’s eleven-year-old son wanted to usher and so we let him. B and LS also showed up. Considering I only needed four ushers, this was very odd. But not a problem.
In the second scene of the first act, one actor had missed her cue and did not enter at the correct time. This led to slight confusion on the part of two other actors in the scene and a very long pause during which everyone stared at an empty stage, but it was soon over and everything proceeded as usual.
Halfway through the birthday party scene the fire alarm went off. I really hate fire alarms.
The ushers showed everyone out with the flashlights that were under their chairs in case of emergency (which was amusing because the lights were still on), and we stood in the drizzle for twenty minutes while it was ascertained that the school was NOT on fire. (The 4-H-ers in the Commons had been having a bvarbecue and set olff the alarm.) It was actually quite funny when I got over my initial shock of the second fire alarm in less than a month, and I laughed at the fire truck and told B and another person about my harrowing escape from the roof of my house.
We actually acquired two new people from the fire alarm incident who had been waiting outside since ten minutes after the play had begun.
The rest of the play went smoothly and nicely, and afterwards I hung out with the strange and hyper friends of my friends.
Then I went home and watched TV and went to bed.
And that is my very long and thrilling tale of Opening Night.
226- You can make an upside down question marks and exlamation marks by turning on num lock, holding down alt, and typing sequences of numbers on the number pad.
0161=¡
0191=¿
224- The GAPAs actually like me! Sorry, I have been feeling unappreciated lately(in case it wasn’t completely obvious by now).
226- Bonjour mon amie!
226 (Alice) – an easier way to do upside down question marks is to do alt(or option)-shift-?
¿¿¿¿¿¿
You can make upside down exclamation points by pressing alt-1
¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
226- Heh, I know what you mean about the fire alarms. We’ve had 7 since school started, and I think one of them was planned. Stupid construction…
230-All of mine were planned. We have two a month.
222- yup! She is!
226- my friends once went to a show where the fire alarm went off…
This is completely random, but it’s the random thread, right?
I was reading the DC Kokonvention thread, and I was just wondering what people think I look like. People say Alice looks like Alice in wonderland, but her description of the girl in the denimn skirt in her Muse Fanfic put a picture of someone similar to the appearance of McKenzie Mees, although you don’t know who that is.
230- all of mine are planned. all the fire drills happen durring dance (imagine a tallish girl in a black t-shirt and black tights shivering in the wind- kidding it wasn’t that cold) and all the lock down drills happen durring math.
233- curlyish hair, average height, perhaps some freckles.
Don’t get me started on fire alarms. Our school had 7 in the first month of school. One of them was because workers had broken a gas line. The rest were false alarms.
I wish I had more time.
