Haha! I love it! Pwnage, Lady B!

I hate projects with a fiery passion. Except for ones that involve MAKING MOVIES! YAYAYAY! But in this case, we had to do it outside, which didn’t work, because we couldn’t wear gloves because we had to work the camera. So I got like frostbite. But we made the movie! Yahoolala!

TEH SPRING HARVEST FESTIVAL IS IN MOTION! WE (being me and Sara) HAVE TWELVE! Springs, that is. We collect them from abandoned retractable pens. Lol. It’s fun! Try it sometime!

I’ve had lots of free time, but I just only come on MuseBlog once or twice per day.
And when I do, I only go to one or two threads.
I think it’s because there’s nothing on here that really addicts me anymore…all of the writing threads have all but died/slowed horribly down, and that’s where I usually go the most.
But I’m not leaving, no way.
I’ll be here for my birthday.
And I wouldn’t miss the Kokonvention for anything. (31 days to go!)

Ugh. Just got back from the worst dress rehearsal of my entire life.
OK, it wasn’t that bad. But I kept doing the curtain wrong and the backstage was chaos.
I did get some flowers from my uncle and grandpa though.

I just went outside and saw the moon slowly being uncovered. It was amazing. That’s my favorite part of the eclipse, when the moon is partly unveiled.

15- OK, I’m glad you’re not leaving. We need to have that kokon.

Now I’m home alone (Mother took Opal to the country. She would have taken me, except for the rehearsal issue), and not very happy. Oh well. I’ve ben in a Hot Topic store once!!! Most people that know me don’t beleive it, since I’m about as different from the kind that usually frequents that place as one can get. I went in because one of my friends got a pair or really cute gloves there, I did find them, but they were $15, more than I was willing to spend, so I left empty handed. Dad (who took me there) had a grand time teasing me and generally acting like a bumpkin and embarassing the heck out of me. His excuse was that he’d never been in one of those stores before, and probably wasn’t going to have a valid excuse to go in again, so he was going to make the most of it. Needless to say I wasn’t exactly pleased.

RE: Warriors names- Er… I don’t know. I didn’t even read the books.

Opening night went pretty well. In the waiting room scene I forgot to put out the candy dish, but Katie found a reason to bring it onstage and I doubt anyone noticed. Then in the Disney World scene Brandon and Mike put up the wrong backdrop, but it worked out fine anyways.
One of the actors was sick so we got Andrea to play Dr. Charlotte (as opposed to the other guy being Dr. Charles. It was much better with Dr. Charlotte then with Dr. Charles, which makes sense because the part was written for a girl) and another fellow played Bob. He did a very good job indeed. Poor Katie had to put on the horse costume, and she got all claustrophobic and couldn’t see, but all that happened was that the character didn’t scare me as much. Andrea and I talked about future plays, and if we don’t get parts in the next one (which is a musical, and I cannot sing) then we’re going to do costumes together.
Helen gave a me a late half-birthday present, a very colorful shirt that I rather like. I think I can make it work somehow.

-dont chicken out- reach into a bowl of hearts, snouts, trotters, livers, eyeballs etc. and remove as many as possible in 30 seconds! yuck!
-alphabet soup- 6 plates covered with teatowels with a letter on top. you ate what you picked- there was liver, kidney, mussels, prawns, CHOCOLATE!!!, and what we got…ox tongue and jellied veal! IT WAS HORRIBLE! and Annika didnt eat it so we lost points. she is rather selfish.

92- I think Shadowclan is highly misrepresented in the series- all of the leaders shown are either evil (Tigerstar, Brokenstar) or senile (Nightstar). We have to be ruthless and cunning in order to survive. It’s easy for the other clans, with fat rabbits and succulent mice popping out of the woodwork. WE LIVE IN A SWAMP. CATS+SWAMP=NOT A LOT OF FOOD. But simply because we’ve been subjected to hardship and adversity, and tend to use our brains more than our brawn (a tactic I think ThunderClan ought to put to use- I’M TALKING TO YOU, FIRESTAR!!), we get stigmatized as a bunch of scrawny schemers who are constantly plotting the takeover of the other clans and eating crowfood. (OK, the last part’s true, but only because we have to. You would too, if you lived in a swamp!) *rant subsides into hissing and spitting*

Scene: Some friends are hanging out at a party. A joking scuffle breaks out between a couple. The girlfriend ends up victorious, with the boyfriend lying on his back and the girlfriend straddling his stomach. The mate from the last three scenes is standing nearby, and he says idly, “People pay to see that kind of thing,” as a harmless joke, like he sometimes does. Everyone laughs, but the mate’s attention wanders and he doesn’t notice the girlfriend get up and slug him in the stomach, expelling the air from his lungs and knocking him down.

Mouthpieces are for lames (read: single-reeders), and who doesn’t want to sound like a sick duck?

Also, if you take up bassoon you will soon know how to repair every instrument known to mankind. The things have so many ridiculous fiddly little bits that after a while fixing any other sort of instrument is a piece of pie. With ice cream on.

I’m back, yet agian….I was at my friends house on friday (she had a snow day) spent the night (unexpectedly), hung out the whole of Sat., and got back at 7 or so.
We were sledding with her little brother down the hill in the blueberry patch, lots of fun. The second day it was all iced over, so we went barraling down, screaming our heads off, crashing into the fence, bamboo, trash piles or all of the above, and having a grand time. Then we got the most brilliant idea; take videos of it! So I now have several bumpy, blurry movies of various configurations of the three of us sledding and, invariably, crashing, along with a video I made going down the hill.
Then we decided to make a sound recording. So we did, com, plete with me screaming, “LEAN, LEAN KATIE, LEAN!!!! OTHER WAY!” When her mom heard it she just cracked up. Turns out she could hear us all hollering from the house.

When we got too tired and soggy from sledding we came in and watched the Horachio Hornblower movies and picked them apart from historical, nautical and medical veiwpoints and had a grand time.

53~ My Mom and I used to have what we called “Opera Day” where we sang everything we said. The only exeptions were answering the phone and door, then we would talk, otherwise we’d sing everything. We just made the tunes up as we went along though, instead of singing actual songs.

Sorry I haven’t posted in the past million-and-a-half days. I was lurking a bit today when my mom decided to wake up and scream at me to do the math homework that I had already told her I couldn’t do. Honestly, the word “elephant” would be closer to the correct answer than the answer I would give. My brain dosn’t work math-like. It dosn’t. There isn’t any other way to explain that, and therfore no one in my family believes me. They think I’m bluffing so that I can get out of doing homework. I would if I could, but I can’t. So I wont.

Anyway, there’s a scene in our production of Aladdin called “Why Me” where Jafar basically vents about how bad his life is/was and how he’s going to overthrow everyone and take over the world, with Iago (that’s me!) butting in every once in a while with a line of encouragement. The song that was written SUCKS, and we both (Jafar and me) hate it. The director hates it too because it’s not at all evil-geniousy so she’s going to rewrite it into a rock song, and make it an octave higher. The girl who plays Jafar is a soprano. This might be a problem for me, though, because I can’t sing much higher than the origional written music. But it’ll work out. Dani (the director) is putting in a Christina Aguliera note for Jafar.

Yes, it was exceptionally work-free (we watched Ice Age: the Meltdown in L.A., used calculators in Math, played kickball in gym and did Vocab games in Spanish) but before that. This morning. I woke up feeling wonderful, and didn’t notice that I wasn’t wearing a bit of black until I came to school. My hair was perfect. Aladdin rehersal was glorious.

    Did you miss me?

My intention was to stay away longer, mostly to see if I could do it, partly to see if anyone noticed, and a good portion because I’m far too busy to spend more than a few minutes on MB, particularly given that pretty soon I’m going to be reading some book about WWII for English, and there’re those monologues for Acting and the play tomorrow and Friday and Saturday and the stacks of science homework due on Friday and my entire sophomore year to plan and Honors English 10 applications if I have to do that and I’m sick and my throat hurts and I can’t stop coughing and I just want to sleep for a long time and I wish I could stay home sick tomorrow – I could, too, because I really am sick and I nearly fell asleep during the Forecast Fair yesterday, except if I’m not at school I can’t participate in the play and of course I have to do that, so I hope I feel better by tomorrow.
And does anyone else become extremely sweaty and hot when they’re giving a monologue?

Yeh. That’s life. And Monday night I stayed up till 11:30 working on my English project and then skipped lunch Tuesday to finish it before it was due 7th period. I know it doesn’t sound like an awful lot to you people who frequently get four hours of sleep or whatever, but for me it’s simply horrible, particularly when I’m sick.

So Bandit(ferret) was really sick when I went downstairs last night. She was curled up on the couch and was letting me pet her for longer than usual, but when she got up and dropped off the couch she couldn’t walk. She’d take a few steps and just fall on her side and lay there. So I took her up stairs and she lay in a rug in the kitchen for a while and then I had to go to hockey. She was a little better when I got back and later that night could walk (slower than norm though…), and then at night she showed up in my room around 2 so I shut the door and let hr sleep on one of my sweaters on the floor rather than take her back to the basement. She woke me up every hour or two by tipping over the garbage or digging in my plant and I’d have to go put something over it but it was late start so I got to stay in bed an extra hour anyway. She’s walking more now but still… she’s really old for a ferret. 8 years or so…

@253 – WHY do they make us plan for the next year in FEBRUARY?! It’s insane… They have an entire year and at least another half to plan it out all the schedules, and while I’ll admit it would be very difficult, it can’t take computers that long.

    Ack Googlefight.

Y’know Souja Boy? Youuu!!! Anyway, he put out a new song called “Yahh!”. It sucks so bad, but it’s hilarious to walk up to random people and yell “YAHHH!” and scare the crap outta them. I did that to my dean by accident, she was like “This is not chit-chat ti-” “YAHHBLAGHBLADBA…. whoops, sorry Ms. Loiselle.”

    hello museblog!

    :'( about the ferret

so i wrote up a nice, long, old-school MB-style rant and decided to post it here because why not?

    cincy was AMAZING

we had to get up early, but not obscenely. i got there around 7 and there were a couple people waiting. johnson was late, came around 7:10. we loaded up the bus and left around 7:35. the flutes brought bagels with them from panera so we got free breakfast, which was good because i hadn’t eaten it was a charter bus so it was uber-comfy seats and tvs and stuff. for some odd reason though, people decided to watch elf, so andy and i watched tenacious d pick of destiny on his ipod instead.
when we got there we went right to the university of and had our rehearsal. it was ok, the guy spent a ton of time on tuning but it wasn’t too horribly exhausting.

we went to kentucky for lunch! the easton-y place across the river. we went to johnny rockets and then to coldstone and then we went to the aquarium, which was awesome! they had the sweet tunnels where it was all water around you. i just started spinning around through there, and i stopped fell, really dizzy, and i saw andy and david exchanging “the look” (the “she’s on drugs” look if anyone cares to know) and i was like “whaaat?” which was apparently hilariously funny. we also sat in the bubble windows (the ones that said “CAUTION: Do not sit” but hey, it was sweet) and watched the guys try to beat each other at the shark jaw thing (you had to push a fake shark’s jaw closed and it told you how much weight you’d pushed. i got a little over a hundred… yeah ok i’m weak) it was funny, hewitt and andy and devin just kept going, like one would get slightly stronger and one of the others would be like “ok let me try again” kind of pathetic, but fun to watch.

and we petted the sharks and saw the penguins and the gigantic turtles. XD

we ate at montgomery inn, which was fantastic but i wasn’t really hungry because we ate at like 4 so i just had a bit of salmon. great food though

then on the way back i borrowed cheese’s DS and andy and yeti and i played BS and then i played tetris and we watched some more tenacious d and listened to music. then we got back right as the middle school musical was about to start so andy and i spontaneously decided to go. it wasn’t bad for middle school. it was bye bye birdie and the kid who played conrad actually made a pretty decent elvis.

the end. and then today we all went to devin’s and played rock band. we still couldn’t get andy to sing though.

oh, we also had our 20’s party in english! there were a lot of feathers in people’s hair…i kept finding more in math, i’d just be holding my head and i’d be like “wait…another feather” i ended up with about eight of them in my pocket and gave another two or three away…

there were cakes and cookies too, and we all learned the charleston. ruhi and lauren had a dance-off. ruhi is the funniest kid EVER. he’s completely neutral and/or apathetic about everything, it’s great.

so life’s pretty good. also fedner and i are planning a partay tomorrow (yes, a partay, not a party. a party with an(other) a). we were going to do it tonight but we decided not to, but i told her that andy was having dinner with the kids from israel and she was like “there are kids from israel? are they hot? have him bring them along, hot israeli makeouts!” i was like “fedner you are my hero” anyway, it’s gonna be pretty sweet i guess, once we actually figure out what we’re doing and where (and when and with who)

so that is ebeth’s life. enjoy

ooh, also re the classes discussion-i like picking early, you can always switch out if you want. i’m taking AP euro, AP lit, AP stats, AP music theory, torch (newspaper), latin 3, and band. :D

also hello and hearts to emogrl/twilight rain! loooong time no talk. XD

peace to alice too! don’t be sick and don’t skip lunch. you can sleep a lot less if you eat, but sleeping doesn’t necessarily mean you can eat less. so if you must, stay up later and eat food! :P

    love and choklit to all
