If you’re new on the blog, please stop by this thread and say pie — er hi.
We recommend that newcomers (that’s what “neophytes” means) look over The Rules and The HG2MB (Hitchhiker’s Guide to MuseBlog).
Next, if you’re so minded, stop by Who’s Here (see the menu at the top of your screen) and announce your arrival in a comment there, so we’ll be sure to add you to the official list.
MuseBlog Veterans: Please use this thread only to welcome newcomers as they arrive and answer questions that they ask.
Hey! So, no promises that I will actually stay around, but here I am, so hi! I actually stumbled upon MuseBlog around 2009/2010 and posted a bit, but I never really got comfortable with it. Does anyone have any tips or helpful hints for me to start again and give it another go?
Hi! Welcome back! Post on the monthly random thread. Just let us know about your life! Keep coming back for a while, it helps to stick around for a little while so we can get to know you! Glad to see you around.
A NEWCOMER
OH MAN WHAT DO I SAY
IT’S BEEN SO LONG THAT I FORGOT MY LINES
Oh, right.
Heya, nighthawk! Nice to re-meet you. I thought your name looked familiar. Welcome back. I’ve got some tips, yes.
If you just want to post about your life, there are three main threads for this. Romance & Relationships, which needs no description, Rants & Plaints, which is for being sad/upset/annoyed/mad and talking about it, and the Random Thread, which is currently called Bovember. And that thread is for everything that doesn’t fit in the other two.
Aside from that, you might want to bookmark Museblog so you’re more inclined to click on it when you’re surfing and think “Hmmm, what do I do now?”.
Don’t be annoyed by slow moderation or posting. Some days are slow days. If people are talking about something you’ve never heard of, don’t be afraid to ask (even in the Hot Topics thread, which is for sensitive issues such as religion and politics, whee). the more you know
Happy to see you, NH. We had another Nighthawk on the blog for a while in 2006, but as far as I can tell, you arrived here in December 2009. Welcome back!
nighthawk- Hello and welcome! And I’d say probably the best way to get into it is just to pick some threads that look interesting to you and start posting! The random thread is good for day-to-day or nonspecific stuff and that seems to be where people often congregate, but the more specific threads are good for more in-depth conversations about things.
Tell us a little bit about yourself? How old are you, if you’re comfortable saying? Any hobbies? Interests? Favorite color or species of sea life?
*welcome pies*
