IBCF- Hello, everyone! We are in Spokane right now and are using Meow’s laptop. It was fun. Goodbye.
Meow- Haha! We’re at a Kokonvention and you’re not! Well, the good news is that it hasn’t been anything like the SSSSs predicted. We have actually been able to think of things to talk about! Success!
Alice- Huzzah! At long last, a west coast kokon! And it’s been ever so fun. First we rode on a carousel, and then we went out t eat, and now we’re at a library. Oh, and the comment box is shrinking, so we can’t exactly see what we are typing right nowl Hurrah.
Alice – Yes, fake email addresses. Whee!
And now my laptop works so we have TWO! Simultaneous postage!
Cat’s Meow – Yup. We have two laptops, which now means we can annoy you TWICE AS MUCH! Aren’t you so lucky?
Alice – Mwahaha. IBCF brought chocolate bunnies. And we’re taking lots of pictures so you can see exactly what we look like. Or wait. Is that a bad thing?
Cat’s Meow – I look exactly like a hot pink bunny. Alice and IBCF can confirm that. Plus, my new HPB T-shirt pwns.
IBCF – Yes, I brought chocolate bunnies. Alice and Meow look a lot different then I expected. But they’re still awesome! *excited*
7-Hi guys! I posted on the kokonvention thread about an hour ago, wondering if you’d log on. IBCF, say hi to the Chief of Trade for me. Meow, say hi to the Air Force Commander for me. Both of you, say hi to Alice for me. Alice, say hi to the to previously mentioned people for me. And have a great time, whatever you do! *Pies*
12 – Parental units approve, and say they will e-mail you soon. Pictures will be awesome, and so will the Spector House song that we are still planning to send in.
Alice – What happened? :horrified: There’s no “Awaiting Moderation” message.
We get pie! Sweet!
It was really easy to find everyone. Meow was sitting on a bench wearing an HPB t-shirt, and IBCF walked up carrying a Muse.
Cat’s Meow – Yeah, that’s been happening to me too. Oh well. And yes, it was so cool. I was looking for any muser-age girls that matched Alice’s description, and then she just walked in and looked like she was looking for someone, so I waved, and she saw me, and she walked over, and then…well, the rest is history.
13-Hahah! It’s funny to think of you three sitting there posting. It brings back memories of the August kokonvention when we were all sitting (mainly standing actually because there weren’t many chairs) posting.
*envy* Sounds like you guys are having fun. At least we have pie here that I can eat later with some self-sympathy XD But yeah we defiantly need a Chicago one…
Man. I WANT A KOKON! Anyone live in Florida? Southern tip. That’s where I’m going to be the next week. Well, at least I had an impromptu one with Speller73, which was quite fun. She’s really nice. But I want a fancy one with a lot of people and Muses etc.
I got another Tamagotchi! But I suppose you don’t want to hear about that.
Hey, the question marks are back! Pwnage! Me luffs teh kweston marks.
I am having Apple lust. MEH MACBOOK AIR I WANTSESSSSS….
Do I have anything to talk about? No. But I went to the library yesterday and I think I got the best 24 books EVAR. They had all of these great books, all sci-fi. If you haven’t noticed, that’s my fave genre. Squee! *runs off to read*
Yes, we are having fun. And pie and ice cream, too. *laughs* (IBCF)
Never fear, we have returned. Now you can all stop worrying that we fell into the Spokane River and died, okay? (Meow)
I know, it’s a waste of pie to just eat it, but if we throw it, then only a few people can appreciate it. We got some picture of us posed as if to throw them, though! (Alice)
Too bad we couldn’t actually throw them at Alice. (Meow)
After this, we’re thinking of going to a Zoological park and visiting my wonderful tree house. (IBCF)
Oh, and in case you couldn’t tell from that last sentence, we’re currently at IBCF’s house. (Meow)
Kokonveentioneers~ Hey! I was thinking about you all today, I’m glad that your get-together went well!!!
16~ Yes, I remember that! There were two computers with a cluster of Musers around each one and Robert trying to keep up with all the posts we were generating on his little treo thing. *gets lost in memories*
I wore my Mostly Harmless shirt today. My family didn’t get it.
26- Yes, just wait! My parents don’t want me to do it, as they’re afraid I’ll mess up, and they’re both very busy at the moment. I’ll probably be able to send them in a few hours.
The pictures are ready, but I need to make sure that the GAPAs and the other parent consent to let me send photographs with our faces on them. I’ve sent one, though, with our faces covered up with Muse magazines…
31 – Oh, you sent that one? I thought it might have been my dad. Um, well, I’ll get him to e-mail the GAPAs soon. I think he’s watching a basketball game right now.
I’ll go get that ready now so that everyone can hear our voices raised in loving praise of our beautiful Spector House. At least it was (sort of) heartfelt. We were all a bit embarrassed…
Hardeeharharhar… I am so happy my cat didn’t start yowling in the middle of the night like she’s done for the past two days. I actually got a good night’s sleep. yay.
I have so much homework to do today…an essay, 2 stories for my school’s newspaper that have to be 500-700 words, a standerized test prep packet, some history assignment, a speech to write for history class…
And all of this has to be turned in, despite the fact that I’ll be on a field trip all day tomorrow.
Urgh.

44 – Google has a translator, although it’s not very reliable. If you go to their homepage and click on the small link that says “Language Tools”. It’s not a great translator, but it’s better than nothing.
45 – Fine. I’ll eat all your candy, if you don’t want it.
I made a HPB Easter egg yesterday. I thought about taking it home so I could get a picture, but decided against it, as all it would do is rot here in our vegan household.
44) It depends what language you’re looking for. Do not under any circumstance use babelfish. If you’re looking for WORDS to be translated freedict.com is okay. Searching around is good too. Doubt you need Japanese stuff but if you do let me know.
Did you guys know people used to dye bunnies (and chicks, for that matter) pink and various Easter colors? Believe that’s outlawed since I can’t imagine it was beneficial.
Happy Easter! I got:
No plot? No problem! Kit
Not Even Wrong (String theory)
Simpsons and Science
A Screen Writing Book
Aristotle and an aardvark go to washington (Political Double Speck and jokes)
Metro (the DC subway system) made an ad that had marshmallow peeps on it. And the person who drove instead of taking Metro was a pink bunny!!
I don’t think I can post the link to the video, but if you Google “metro marshmallow peeps ad” and click on the…4th link down and then click the big “Peeps in the Park” link and then click the “Click here to watch the video” link in the box (yeah, I know that’s a lot of steps) you can see it.
Sorry I haven’t been on, I got grounded. Mom was gossiping about how horrible I am to people, and I told the people that they were lies. Which they were. But now I have blackmail on everyone, so if Mom gets me too mad I can tell everyone that Mom was saying bad things about them (which she was).
Yeah. So nothing else interesting happened.
Except for me being insanely jelous of the Kokonventioneers.
Thanks to everyone who gave me translation suggestions! And as much as I love bad translators (I got something that just repeated the word instead of translating it) I have to use one that works today.
*sobs hysterically for what is probably the 900 millionth time today*
I NEED HELP NOW!!!
sorry but im in a bit of a mental breakdown. I seem to recall an article in Muse about a female swimmer who swam the arctic but i can’t remember her name, only some facts. I sure hope i didn’t invent her because i already wrote half the report (it was easy) Does anybody remember this? i just went through 447 articles on some website or other that has old muse articles and i couldn’t find it. I may have remembered it from an old “popular science” magazine but if so I’m lost because i don’t even know where to start.
50-They still do, but it’s illegal in most places because the animals end up being neglected. People would buy the babies and put them in Easter baskets, but when they grew up the hair would regrow and they would be normal colours and nobody wanted to keep them.
I had an unremarkable easter, for the most part.
I made a HPB egg at my grandma’s, but I don’t have pictures because it’s still there.
*appreciates the HPB*
My sister wrote a story, and I couldn’t resist posting it here…
Partially Defatted Peanuts
A tale of love, loss, adventure, betrayal, mystery, hate, rescue, tragedy, life, death, religion, scorn, beauty, persecution, enchantment, prejudice, hope, vanity, wonder, pain, peanuts, and two cities
ONCE UPON A TIme, in a land far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far away, there existed two cities. A boy from one city fell in love with a beautiful girl from the other. They both got lost on an adventure. For some mysterious reason, the girl betrayed her lover. He then believed she hated him.
One day, as the girl was being persecuted by a prejudiced dragon, the boy came upon her while hunting wolverines using the blowdart technique.
“Rescue me, lest I die!” shrieked the damsel.
“Not on your life,” replied he with scorn.
The dragon wondered at the lad’s reluctance.
“Are you entrapped by the enchantment of some Albanian witch?” questioned the reptilian monster.
“No,” cried the fellow, “but I have instead been pained by the vanity and duplicity of this young dame. Do carry on.”
But before the dragon was able to recommence its previous pursuit, a revelation struck its scaly head.
“You know,” mused he, “the lass would taste quite delightful with some partially defatted peanuts. I would forever be in your debt if you were to embark upon a quest to pick some peanuts off the rare magic partially defatted peanut tree that grows atop the highest tower of a castle on the highest hill on a mountain of the highest elevation surrounded by eighteen volcanoes and heavily guarded by the ferocious three-foot tall dwarves.”
“Oh, no problem! answered the boy, who reached into his pocket and produced a handful of partially defatted peanuts. “I’ve got some left over from brunch.”
“Oh. Well, thank you,” said the dragon, who promptly popped the partially defatted peanuts and the screaming girl into its mouth.
“Do enjoy,” laughed the boy, as he leisurely departed down the lane, kicking pebbles and stones on his way.
In case anyone was wondering, the “prejudiced dragon” refers to the Flight of the Conchords song “Albi the racist Dragon” that we watched on youtube once. Ditto with the “Albanian witch”.
I wish they made M&M shells with nothing inside. I love eating M&M shells. It would be even better if they were still in a hollow shape and I didn’t have to pick them off the M&Ms.
I eat weird things.

79- Hey guys, this is “her.” I must admit that I honestly forgot to explicitly include the words hope, tragedy, and religion, so that means I’m leaving them open for interpretation. Perhaps you were on the right track with “religion” and “revelation.” I bet eating partially defatted peanuts is most certainly a religious experience. Otherwise, it’s all up to the reader.
Don’t you hate it when writers do that?
59 – it was in the July 2005 or 2006 – i cant remeber which year but i know it was July since i was in alaska and I remember my dad bringing Muse up. I think it was 06
Me ish dyeing eggs. Pink and blue, of course. Let’s watch them hatch and enjoy the newly-hatched lagomorphs fighting it to the death! Of course, the pink ones will win. MUHAHA.
Has anyone heard of flash mobs? Google “improv everywhere”. It really is pure pwnage. I want to do the freeze one for April Fools’ day at school… hehehe.
Speaking of which, April 1st is fast approaching. Does ANYONE remember what, um, happened last year? ANYONE? Or have the bunnies erased it from your brains? AM I THE ONLY ONE?????
87- I don’t think the GAPAs will do that to us again; the bunny invasion messed up the Blog and made everyone angry and annoyed. Or would they…? *shudders*
87 – Why would you assume you are the only one? Everyone there that day recovered with full memory.
If we prepare ourselves for a bunny attack, then we may avoid them from coming again. I assume that they want an element of surprise in their next attack. I hope it’s not April 2 [my birthday]…
I wish I were good enough at freezing to start a freeze. It would be so cool to do that.
92- I was one of those posters, and in retrospect, I think I overreacted slightly. It was actually quite funny (although very creepy).
I don’t think I would have gotten as mad if the other threads hadn’t suddenly been closed.
I don’t know where to ask this – Robert or Lady Bunniful, could you please add a Musery logo of a hot pink bunny with “pure evil” under it? That would be awesome if you could.
A queshiezzx is a thing of thought. It is made with moonbeams and sunshine mixed together in a vat of hope, emiting the steam of peace and aroma of love.
Hmm, I’ll go check ome other threads and see what’s been up. f it crashes into oblivion again I’ll retreat to Muse Academy and curl up with one of the cozy blankets that was handed out on the random thread over there.
I have nothing better to do, so I will post another one of my infamous song parodies. This one’s to the tune of “Hard-Knock Life.” (I had way to much time on my hands during Annie rehearsals.)
It’s a flying pie for us
It’s a flying pie for us
Pies are coming
Better hide
If you don’t then
You’ll get pied
It’s a flying pie
Yes my friends, it’s really so
It’s the pie war row we hoe
Often you will
Hear a splat
Once or twice you’ll
Get knocked flat
It’s a flying pie
Don’t it feel like the pies are always flying
Don’t it feel like pastry’s always in the air
One day we will take over the world
That really should give others quite a scare
We are a band of faithful Musers
We love paper and we love ink
Though some may brand us losers
We’re just some random kids who like to think
Oh!
Boysenberry pie
Gooey cherry pie
Banana cream pie
So good you could scream pie
Kokopelli’s possessed me
Koko, we give thanks to thee
For life is never a bore
When your in a pie war
It’s a flying pie
(several bars of full-fledged pie war madness)
It’s a flying pie for us
It’s a flying pie for us
For life is never a bore
When your in a pie war
It’s a flying pie, it’s a flying pie
It’s a flying pie!
106~ I think it’s just a general announcement. They do that now and then to alert us about things of interest, and if there isn’t any need for us to talk back, there isn’t a pace to post on them.
Hips Don’t Lie, By Shakira
Scales Don’t Lie, by Beavo! [Period added. –Admin.]
Ladies up in here tonight
We’ll weigh em, we’ll weigh em
We got the refugees up in here
We’ll weigh em
Latifa, Latifa!
I never really knew that she could weigh that much
She makes a man wants to see her lunch
Como se llama (si), gorda (si), mi comida (si, Latifa, Latifa), su comida
Latifa, Latifa
Oh baby when you eat like that
You make a woman get fat
So be wise and keep on
Adding the pounds to my body
And I’m fat tonight
You know my scales don’t lie
And I’m starting to feel the weight
All the Cheetos, Doritos
Don’t you see baby, this is unhealthy
Hey Girl, I can see your belly jiggling
And it’s driving me crazy
And I didn’t have the slightest idea
Until I saw you eating
And when you walk up in the kitchen
Nobody cannot ignore your unhealthy habits, girl
And everything so unexpected – the way you scarf and wolf it
So you can keep on eating it
I never really knew that she could weigh that much
She makes a man wants to see her lunch
Como se llama (si), bonita (si), mi comida (si, Latifa, Latifa), su comida
Latifa, Latifa
Oh baby when you eat like that
You make a woman get fat
So be wise and keep on
Adding the pounds to my body
And I’m fat tonight
You know my scales don’t lie
And I am starting to feel the weight
Come on, feed me, real fast
’Cause this food asi es perfecto
And I’m fat tonight
You know my scales don’t lie
And I’m starting to feel the weight
All the Cheetos, Doritos
Don’t you see baby, this is unhealthy
Oh boy, I can my body growing
Half fat, half me
I don’t, don’t really know what I’m doing
But I seem to be hungry
My will and self restraint
Have come to fail now, fail now
See, I am doing what I can, but I can’t so you know
That’s a bit too hard to explain
Come en la calle de noche
Come en la calle de da
Come en la calle de noche
Come en la calle de da
I never really knew that she could eat that much
She makes a man want to see her lunch
Como se llama (si), gorda (si), mi comida (si, Latifa, Latifa), su comida
Latifa, Latifa
Oh baby when you talk eat that
You know you got me hypnotized
So be wise and keep on
Feeding the fat on my body
Senorita, eat the food now, let me see you eat like you come from America
Mira en Barranquilla se baila as, eat it!
Mira en Barranquilla se baila as
Yeah
She’s so hungry every foods fantasy a slob like me back with the Americans from a Five Star restaurant
I go back like when she was as thin as Brittany Spears
She make a whole club hungry
Why Weight watchers wanna watch her?

She ain’t hungry, it’s her family tradition
No more does she scarf cake
She runs the restaurant because she owns her own float (YO)
And I’m fat tonight
You know my scales don’t lie
And I am starting to feel the weight
Come on, feed me, real fast
’Cause this food asi es perfecto
Oh you know I’m fat tonight
You know my scales don’t lie
And I’m starting to feel the weight
All the Cheetos, Doritos
Don’t you see baby, this is unhealthy
Greetings fellow musers! I have had time to drift by the blog again. I can gladly say that my wretched IB project is done. Now I have to write a bunch of reflection crap about how I learned. Hooray…
Goodnight everyone!
I’m going to go, since it’s late here and when I’m really tired my posts make even less sense than usual. And that’s pretty bad, as you probably all know.
Pies and peace!!
I have returned! My parents are being stupidly restrictive about my time allowed on the Internet. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr……
115-Yes, they are.
Does anyone read the Circle of Magic books by Tamora Pierce?
113-What’s IB?
I am 83% done with the Harry Potter OOTP computer game, which makes me happy! I finally figured out how to lift up the unicorn tapestries! None of you probably know what I’m talking about.
I got bunny-shaped Peeps for Easter, but they were neon yellow, not hot pink. Oh well.
I finally know my musical lines! Yay! And on Thursday I’m leaving for the Disneyland trip with Choir! YAY!
Hmm…that was a really random dumping of thoughts that were rattling around my brain at the moment. Sorry if I confused anyone.
Well, lf anyone’s noticed, I’m back from my repreive. The blog is different, and the good old days are over. Though there’s nothing really wrong with this, newbies flood it, and my fellow veterans depart.
*sigh*
Why, pray tell, have I turned 5,000? The beard is hard to manage!
119- To tell you the truth, these days aren’t really that bad compared to the “good old days”. Veterans and Newbies came and left then, and they come and leave now. Change isn’t always for the worse, you know.
They are going to put the Mars rover Spirit in temporary shut-down to deal with budget problems.
That little guy’s survived dust storms, frost, fierce winds- but even he can’t fight the government.
NASA don’t get no love.
A moment of silence for Spirit, please.
well Mary and Alice seem similar personality-wise. and both are involved with theatre. Mainly it is just that both are really nice people who care about everyone.
139- Because you’re 5,000 days old! *celebrates* *gives pies* *throws confetti*
And no, change is not always for the good. I admit, I miss some people who’ve left. And sometimes people can be kind of annoying. But if by “the good old days” you mean back in April or whenever, when we had FIVE RANDOM THREADS and there were long discussions about pointless posts that would be interrupted by someone pointless posting and everyone went around turning everything green and going on about how the good old days were so much better and full-fledged flame wars were always going on in some part of the blog or another, then I think it’s a change for the better.
Sure, people still go on about how the good old days were so much better, and then they leave, and people still come on who won’t type proper grammar, but the flame wars have died down, and “PoPo-ing” isn’t such a big deal. It’s really got a lot more laid back, and I’m glad. I wish it could be good for everyone, but I’m not sure that’s ever going to happen. So I guess I might as well just leave the issue be.
O GAPAs, when will you unveil your secret? Because it just occurred to me what I might have said that inspired it. Unlikely, but possible…
Oh, days! I thought it was years! Anyway, that which you spoke of was all I knew. You’re blogolder than me. That was perfect to me, the niche I needed, despite the problem. Now is different. I didn’t mind all the random threads at all, l had nothing to compare the posts to, I loved the green stuff, and the “flame wars” just seemed like debates, and I love to debate. Your hellishness was my perfection.
(140) I’m trying very hard to get it done before this week is out. One of the images I’m putting together is taking much longer than anticipated. Partly because I didn’t realize how long the artwork would take (a different approach from what I’ve tried before) and partly because it seems every time I get a chance to work on it, something interrupts me — mostly one or the other of my jobs, but all the blog outages haven’t helped. This has been an unexpectedly bizarre March.
Then there was the matter of that Narrow Escape, which I confess I simply couldn’t resist.
141- I wouldn’t call it hellishness. It was just odd, and chaotic, and I came so close to leaving the MB forever, but I was already in too deep. *sigh*
That’s a very different way of looking at it. It makes me think about other perspectives, which is definitely something I need to think about more. I’m very self-centered.
…
I want to . . . cheer people up, I guess. But I’m so aloof and awkward, I’m not sure how. If someone needs cheering, all I can think to do is offer chocolate. Heh. Chocolate’s good, I suppose.
YESSSSS! bACK ON MB!!!!!!!finally!!!! I went tramping round Te Anau for easter, got bitten by sandflies and there were too many bees! beautiful scenery though its for Duke of Edinbourough but I have to finish my summary/coordinates/report of it before I can say Ive done it…oh welll….
night all
just wondering–has the KoKon been yet?
see you all
Sam
147-There was a Kokon and it has it’s own thread somewhere. It’s called Spokane kokonvention.
I can’t wait for it to get warm.
Holy cow! When I get back from spring break there will be just over a month until the school year is out. In 2 months I’ll be in Peru. Woahhhhhh!
*anticipates summer*
Life in the Pacific Northwest can be summed up in one word: Rainy. Or, if you want to expand slightly, Cold and Rainy. Or “Rainy and filled with hailstones.”
And of course it almost always rains if you’re stuck downtown with no means of transportation but walking. First your hair gets wet, and then your coat, and then the wetness sort of creeps up your hem and through your shoes so that your feet and ankles are wet as well. And of course, if you’re walking, then it’s fairly inevitable that somehow your pants are fully saturated and your kneesocks, being kneesocks, only protect your calves. So you end up with your thighs being very very wet indeed, and sort of numb-ish, and every hailstone sort of stings a little. And you’re still blocks away from home. And now the wetness of your coat is soaking through to your shirt. And your hems which are far to long are sort of wrapping themselves around your ankles.
150- Our weather is so weird in march. Just in the past week we’ve had lightning, rain, snow, sleet, hail, cats, frogs, dogs, Toyota car keys, meatballs, and now…. *looks out window* …salamanders.
i intensely dislike weather at this time of year. it gets warm and sunny so you think ‘yay!! it’s springtime no more coats and scarves, yippee!!,’ then it says to itself ‘haha!! another spirit i can crush!!’ and gets really cold. and then i am sad because i have to wear my big bulky coat that doesn’t even fit in my locker at school.
Huh. I’ve been reading the old bunny threads. All they do is make me yearn for old RRRs. And for CERTAIN PEOPLE to come back to the Sea Roc RRR. But I completely understand the reasoning behind ens departure. It’s very confusing. And it’s not what it started out as. But kiwimuncher hasn’t been on a lot, or Pan…So it’s me and Meow…And the latter has been absent for a day or two as well.
Hello all! I am currently on vaacation in Colorado, for skiing. The mountain we’re on is beautiful and there arn’t many people at all… maybe when I get home I can say the town (very small so snippage would be likely if I mentioned it while I’m here) and mountain. Today we took a day off skiing and are in town, I’m at a liibrary right now because there is internet! Our condo doesn’t have any… I am deprived XD
There’s these cool sculptures all over, made of old car bumpers and bits of metal and pieces of wood. They’re really cool, even though some of them are buried in the 8 feet of snow piled around (O.o). ((and oh dear. I am now a victem of the shrinking comment bokees. It only started just now though… so an appology for any typoes from this point on.))
There’s a sculpture of a dragon somewhere that’s supposed to be really good, I’m ggonna go take pictures of it soon.
Anyway I can’t see what I’m typing and I only have 16 minutes left online so I’m gonna offski for now. Bye all!
It is now snowing. Rather a lot. Which is odd.
The likelihood that it will last until Monday, thus giving me a delay or even a whole snow day, is so slim it need not even be contemplated. And yet I contemplate…
Google [Snip! Sorry, Kokonilly. We really don’t want MBers telling the whole world how to find them. –Admin.] and click on the first hit. ((My blog — [Snip, again.]))
Anyway…
It’s cold outside. When it’s cold outside, I’ve got the month of May… and I guess you say… what could make me feel this way…
I can’t wait until we find out what’s in the egg. I hope everyone had a good easter. mine was nice. I sept for most of saturday because I had gone to bed the night before at almost 4a.m. and because I was sick. I feel pretty good overall. sort of. except for the back of my mind. Anyways, happy easter to the people who celebrate it and Happy Non School days for those who don’t.
That was very dramatic. The window blew open and snow was blowing in and the curtain was billowing… The wind keeps changing direction, so the snow’ll be blowing one way one minute and another the next.
132-Yes, almost all of them. But the real MuseBloggers are always so much better.
It was springy today. Yay Spring!
I lost my voice at lunch, because you have to WAIL to get anyone to hear you. So my voice was all cracking up at play rehersal, even though I had, like, one line.
143~ You aren’t aloof!! And it isn;t hard to cheer anyone, if you are sincere, then they will be cheered because you are being truthful when you say you want them to be happy. And chocolate is ALWAYS good, no matter what!
Weather: It is BEAUTIFUL here today!! Nice and warm, so I was able to wear a short sleeved shirt (GO MUSE ACADEMY!!) and not feeze to death. Unlike the past several days, where I’ve been wearing short sleeves and freezing. You’d think I’d learn….
I liked the springy weather today. I biked to the __________ Park and then walked around by the creek, discovered a waterfall, sang, and almost got my nice boots stuck in the mud on the way out of the woods. I hope there’s more warm days, even though I probably won’t want to go to the park again.
176) Really? I’m actually mostly the same. I’m always crazy and happy. Although I can sometimes be harsh and very competitive, especially when I’m trying to give a point in a discussion. Mostly though, I act the same.
Oooooooo! American Idol starts in 2 minutes! I LOVE American Idol! Bye bye!
176~ How so? I imagine that anyone who can be nice at all, even on the internet must be able to act the same way in real life. It’s there, but maybe just lurking. And you’re definately nice on MB.
Hmm…
I think all of my comments on the recent comments sidebar are going to say hmm.
I have about 7000 different personalities. Yay mental disorder.
Ok i don’t actually have a multiple personality disorder.
*talks to self*
181- It’s sort of hard to explain. I don’t really understand either. But I think it might have something to do with the group of people. Because at the kokon, my MB personality came out, even though I wasn’t on MB.
GAPAs, there was a Chameleon thread a while ago that had lists of things to do to scare/weird people out, could you post a link to it? I can’t find it.
Who I am varies wildly on the time, place and my particular mood at the moment. I like to think that I’m mostly nice though. Sometimes I’m VERY quiet (yes, beleive it or not!) and other times you can hardly get me to shut up. (More beleivable, right?) It all depends, sometimes I vary in the same day, it’s all quite confusing. :rol:
I talk to myself too. All the time. Sometimes it’s very boring. *walks away muttering to self*
I am one hundred percent me at my creative writing class, slightly less me here and only sixty or so percent otherwise. I dilute myself. It’s sort of like I become a nine molar solution instead of twelve molar. I’m still the same me, only less reactive, less energetically me. My molarity changes though, depending on the situation. In some situations at school I can approach my full, non diluted self but in others I can be only two or even one molar me. If I ever put on a mask, it is a mask of layers.
we had science club today at the Otago University
we were looking at honey bees and we got to dress up in funny bee suits and Zoe (from MB) said, while I was holding the pristine white suit and she was holding the mucky suit, “I think you are XL” -may I add that I am VERY short and thin- and quickly swapped the suits, I was too bewildered to object so I looked similar to that of a large marshmallow mushroom, but we go to see bees and the Queen and a 1nce in a lifetime chance (apparently) to see a virgin queen which Peter ( the scientist) killed because appparently she would have to fight with the old queen, who would lose, and the new one would not be able to mate as it is too late into autumn which would be bad for the colony and Peter’s reasearch
I finished my essay for english…’Choose one important theme from the play [the Merchant of Venice] say how it is portrayed and how it is important’ soooooooo boring!!! but-I FINISHED!!! WOOHOO!!!! ONLY 16 DAYS TILL CHINA!!!!ONLY 14 DAYS TO THE PLAY!!!! uhoh…14 days to the play and I havent learnt my lines!!! AAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
still, I get to insult Zoe in Shakespearean without getting told off oh the good times…Be Damned thou inexcrable dog!!
ah…its great
Holy cow! My sister’s gerbil had babies last night. 7 of them. Apparently one of them was a boy and one was a girl, even though we thought they were both girls. I don’t remember them actually checking when we got the gerbils. The babies are so cool! They’re tiny and red, and I can’t wait for them to grow fur. Baby gerbils with fur are so adorable.
My sister keeps getting gerbils that have babies. She got one once that had babies about a week after we got it. It’s hard to tell if a gerbil is pregnant, and apparently that one already was when we got it.
Whee! I’m at the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in an internet cafe. It’s really pretty; lots of bromeliads and orchids and mangroves, etc. etc. And lizards. And I caught one, it was on a banister on a walkway. I smacked down on it’s tail and I yelled to my brother, “Get it by the head, stupid!” But he didn’t, and the lizard’s TAIL CAME OFF! It got me by surprise and I screamed and the lizard ran away, tail-less. So I went “eeew” and then my brother PICKED UP THE SEVERED TAIL and ran after me with it. Yuck. But cool!
150, 151 – Yeah, that pretty much describes it. 2 inches of snow this morning, and it has already melted. I wouldn’t be shocked if it suddenly started raining salamanders.
i feel terribly sorry for all of you experiencing bad weather, i feel very grateful for the warm spell we’re experiencing here in New York, i do hope it lasts *prays to the heavens above to have mercy on the poor souls who want warm weather*
It should be snowing here starting around 4 AM tomorrow and going till about 1 PM, with an expected total of 8 inches. If that does actually happen, there is a chance that there will be a snow day, which would make me incredibly happy.
….
Whoops, I forgot I was typing this post. I almost closed the browser tab.
…
Do you guys want to hear some incredibly long rants stories from the past week?
210- A plot hole? It’s more to do with writing than reading, but you can encounter them in published books too. They’re even worse in print.
Anyway, a plot hole is an obvious gap in the plot of a story. For example, a character gets lost, and then a few chapters later, that same character shows up and no one acts like it’s out of the ordinary.
212 – I hate it when books have big plot holes. Like, a character admits that he/she has some secret and it’s never referred to again for the entire rest of the story.
Speaking of secrets, POSOC and the GAPAs must tell us what they have planned. -impatient-
Okay, then.

Part One: “The Condescending *****”
This is a direct quote from one of my friends about my songwriting teacher. See, last week, in the songwriting class, everybody presented the songs that we had been working on with the collaborators that she had assigned us. It went pretty well. This week we were editing the song by having the teacher and the class critique them. Now, you need to know that when I first started working with my collaborator, I knew that I wasn’t going to be able to write any depressing lyrics. So, together with my collaborator, I created the song Silent Lullaby, a wonderful poetic song about winter, which is currently on the Poems and Songs thread. The problem is, it’s too poetic. The teacher said that on Wednesday, and she suggested several changes to the lyrics; basically, she expected a love song. I. Was. Not. Writing. A. Love. Song. That was the whole ‘not writing depressing lyrics’ part. I don’t think I really need to explain that more. Anyways, that set me off. I just started crying and wouldn’t stop for 15 minutes (of course, I wasn’t happy yesterday morning anyways having burned my fingers while getting coffee). And yet my songwriting teacher still seems to think that I don’t actually hate her (maybe because I was the star student in the music theory class that she taught first semester). Of course, everybody hates that class anyways since she’s only teaching us how to write pop songs and insisting that we follow the ‘rules’ exactly all the time.

Part 2: Deni
As I might have mentioned (only a million times in the past couple months), Deni was friends with my best friends Shelby. Correction: Deni stole my best friend, and I hate Deni. But let’s back up to Monday. Apparently, Deni has been going out with this guy Jake. He broke up with her. Deni told Shelby. A few hours later, he asked Deni out again. Deni told her other friend Sasha. Deni didn’t tell Shelby. Shelby found out later that Deni and Jake were going out still, and thought that Deni lied to her. Shelby now hates Deni, and doesn’t want to talk to her. The thing is, so does everybody else that was friends with Deni. They were all only friends with Deni because Shelby was friends with her. Also, Deni is a liar and everybody has already found that out. Anyways, today during lunch, Deni came over to me. Direct quote: “You don’t hate me like everybody else does, do you, Fio?” Major. Problem. But I couldn’t bring myself to say that I did hate her. So i just shook my head. A few minutes later, my friend Dan, who also sits with me, went to the school store like he usually does, and I went with him. And Deni followed me, because she ‘didn’t want to be alone’ (she’s pathetic that way). So we get to the store, and we’re standing in line to buy cookies. Shelby is in front of us. Dan tells me to stand between him and Shelby, because he can’t stand her. Deni is still following me, because she wanted to talk to Shelby. Shelby says to Courtney something along the lines of “oh look, here she comes” and ignores Deni. So at this point, I realized that Deni had put me into the middle of a conflict that had nothing to do with me. But I managed to fix that later, since Deni had been texting Jeff and Jeff didn’t want Deni texting him. So I told Jeff that he should include in one of his texts to Deni that I hated her for stealing Shelby. So, tomorrow will be interesting.
…
I have other things, but this post is getting a bit long, so I’ll split it up.
hey, question – my family recently decided to stop eating poultry for ethical reasons, and so I need a replacement for my chicken soup. I don’t like bean soups or creamy soups. Any suggestions? It would have to be vegetarian / fish, since I don’t eat red meat either.
214- Aw, I’m sorry about all that. It sounds complicated and unpleasant. Do you want some chocolate?
215- Umm… Egg drop soup is very good, but if you’re not eating poultry, then you might not be eating eggs. But if you ARE eating eggs, definitely look up egg drop soup.
But wait, there’s more! Actually, this last part isn’t that important, it’s just the fact that I noticed that all my grades have dropped this quarter (I can check my grades online, as long as my teachers update). I have my suspicions as to why my grades dropped (well, mainly because I stopped caring about school, for reasons that have already been discussed too much on the blog). But I didn’t realize that it would actually have this much of an impact.
217- Actually, no I don’t want any chocolate. What I want is an escape. I want to get away from myself and away from everybody that I know and just start over.
so, since i’m much too lazy to read through comments and figure it out for myself, what exactly happened to the blog? all i got was error messages for a while.
Nothing interesting has happened today, except for me sending my NaNoWriMo to my Language Arts teacher and telling Mom off for using the word “British” to say “the British ‘Garks”.
228- Well, you could go for irony… and dark humor. Although they’re often similar. Umm… humor, humor… OH! Try the quotes thread, there are some quite funny quotes there. I’m sure you could find at least two different types of humor there.
I don’t have much homework. I need to re-memorize my monologues and maybe fix Ophelia’s so it’s not so flat.
And I have that really huge Hamlet project that I haven’t started that’s due on the 8th. Yup. And of course the WWII project, but that’s more of a work-in-class thing…
192 – Merchant of Venice!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m Shylock and the Prince of Arragon while Sam is Gratiano. Our rehearsals are hilarious because we can’t stop laughing. Today I threw a temper tantrum because I messed up my lines and then I was told my crying wasn’t manly enough. You had to be there.
Sam – there’s only 10 days until MOV. Sorry, but I thought you might want to get the days right. Oh and did you notice that Flavia was wearing a HPB pin on her hat today?????
The Bee thing was sooooooooooooo cool and it was really funny how I tactfully got the nice brand new one off Sam while giving her my grungy one. It was really funny because she took AGES to notice. Hehe the bees were really interesting too.
Today at lunch my friend C was throwing an apple at me. We were running around Girton – me screaming and C throwing the apple at me. She managed to hit my head but then it went through the fence onto the road. What a shame…
200- Ugh, the peeps didn’t help very much. The temperature was freezing today–in the thirties–and I could hardly move my arms and legs, let alone run. *shivers*
Oh, and in case you were interested, I got last place. *sighs*
230-oh Im sooooooo sorry I got the days wrong
YES!!! I NOTICED!!! and Im lke–‘theyre evil’ and she got rather annoyed at me; “THEY ARENT EVIL YOURE SO MEAN! ITS CUTE!” clearly she has been zombified!
your lunch time sounded—productive—I had a China Meeting and a Chinese lady called Wallace sppoke to us about Shanghai
234 – well Flavia is a bit odd but maybe, JUST MAYBE she has been bunnified.
Oh and my lunch time WAS productive – I now have a nice bruise on my head. Much better than some lady named Wallace (isn’t that a boys name?) lecture on a city! teehee
215) Wow. I wouldn’t be able to do that. I mean, yu can’t even eat chicken noodle? Well, I would normally say potato soup, but you said that you don’t like creamy soups. there’s always onion and tomato. Of course, you pretty much make any type of bisque with any vegetable or fruit. I tried this really good peach bisque once……….
225- Beavo, I seriously suggest that you make some earnest revisions to that comment, before I allow some of my friends to read it. My BRITISH friends, and my British non friends.
I have a feeling I ought to be discussing something but have very little knowledge of what is being discussed. I will, however, recommend tomato soup to everybody and their mother because it’s pretty much the best thing ever. nomnom.
YES I will talk about food god I could do this forever. Things that you ought to eat because they rock: dried cranberries (x a billion), super-spicy-salty peanuts (got no idea what they are properly called), wasabi peas, super-cheesy ravioli, dark chocolate raspberry gummy things, et cetera. Aha these are almost all snack foods I srsly have no idea why I’m not enormously fat by now.
FOOD=LIFE (actually pretty literally too, although I hear that you need sleep too)
196/197-i’ll send pictures soon. They will probably end up on the friends of fur, feather, and fin thread.
My friend A came over last night and it was fun. We took a bunch of pictures and danced and talked a lot. The only thing is that now I’m even more confused about all the stuff i keep talking about on the romance thread.
240- Well, thank you, Munchie! (is it okay if I call you that?)
242- Good to see you, Penty! And I agree that tomato soup = ♥ x ∞. It’s my favorite food, in fact, when coupled with grilled cheese sandwiches. *drools*
I’m at the poolside. My brother just jumped in… and I will too now!
Hey, my sheos came today! (Totally random and worthless information) they are really comfortable and cute. Rockt Dogs, if anyine here knows about them.
242) Y HALO THAR
plz send me some of those gummies omfg
On the subject of fud I lyke to et, I always buy copious amounts of sweets when I get to chance to go to the Marukai in Little Tokyo. Mostly I just like bread with cheese and a glass of apple juice, or a plowman’s lunch as my mom says. 8BBB I is simple farmer.
I lack to strength in my scrolly finger to catch up with all the posts, but if someone is sick have a lots of vitamins and drink outrageous amounts of water…I was getting sick the days before spring break and no way was I gonna take that sitting down, so I did the above and got a lot better relatively quick.
again, anyone gone to/heard of an immersion school?
UP, yeah, I have the same problem. sort of. I shall describe it on R+R. See you there?
food is good. I like chocolate, sour cream and onion chips, daal soup, samosas, enpanadas, kash-e-badmjan and various other things that I shall remember as soon as I press ‘submit’.
*appears after being away at the beach and playing on the computer for far too long*
I believe that I have a split personality. Erk.
I wonder what would happen if I came to school talking. Everyone would freak out and make me mad. And then I would somehow get dentention, probably.
I’m losing sleep *sings* agaaaaain… Ha, I have to go back to school on Monday. Nooo..
Hmm…I love food. Seafood is my bestestest friend. It makes me sad that most of it is so expensive though.
I love oranges and things that taste like orange. Yummy yum orange!
254- it is a school, usually starting in the elementary years with kindergarten, where all lessons are taught in a language that is not the students’ native language. For example, I was taught in Spanish in elementary school though my first language is English. It is an excellent way to become somewhat fluent in another language.
253 – ZOMG I WENT TO AN IMMERSION SCHOOL. From Kindergarten to 4th grade. I was literally fluent in Spanish… And then we moved. Now I haven’t spoken Spanish in 3 years, because literally nobody in the area speaks the language. Rawr.
254 – Well, at least at my school, in Kindergarten 90% of our class was in Spanish. We could talk to the teacher in English, but she would only speak to us in Spanish. This was in California, so many of the kids grew up speaking Spanish (since their parents were from Mexico) so we had to get their help to figure out what the teacher was saying. By 4th-5th grade about 50% of the day was in Spanish and 50% in English, but by then we were on to subjects that were a little more complex. I just basically learned everything (or almost everything) in SPanish for 5 years.
258- yeah. ours started all in Spanish (we could speak in English, yes, but the teachers didn’t) and slowly got to be more and more in English until reaching fifty fifty in sixth grade. The teachers would come up with all sorts of reward systems to encourage Spanish speaking though…
260 – I think they did that at ours too. that and created rules and rewards for speaking Spanish. and we had to check out at least one Spanish book from the school library each time (the book limit was two books per visit)
253 (oxlin)- There are immersion schools in the K-8 district in my town, although I didn’t go to one. The parents who were pushing for their creation were rather crazy, though.
up here in my country we have french emersion schools. i was in one K-3 but then I went of to an arts school. currently I am eating graham crackers and they are deliciouse.
Good morning.
Who wants spdzk points?
I’m thinking of giving my points away.
All of them.
More importantly, I’m thinking of leaving.
I’m not going to go into a whole speech about how things were better when I first started posting, because I don’t think that’s true. Things are just as good now as they were then, for me at least. But I just feel no need to post anymore. I have lost interest in the blog. Actually, I shouldn’t say that I’ll be leaving permanently. I know myself too well to say that. I will come back at some point. After today*, I will not be posting for a while.
*I will most likely be posting on the Books in Progress thread later today, with chapter 2 of my book. But nothing on the rest of the blog.
268~ Ecspecially on the chocolate ones. Other than that it can be a bit *makes face, trying to find an adjective that describes the sensation of peanut butter and grahm cracker being stuck all over one’s mouth* a bit, strange. Best when the eater is alone, it can be embarrasing if anyone sees….
DARN IT.
We have 3-4 inches of snow on the ground, and it’s still falling steadily.
I had a soccer game this morning (It was a 10am soccer game)
I was excited to get to play in the snow, plus it’s our first soccer game.
But I just found out it’s canceled.
DARN IT.
Also, La Mort, I’m sorry that you’re leaving. I don’t think I can change your mind, though, so I won’t bother to try. We’ll miss you, though.
241-I have some British friends too, I just hate how my mom assumes that the word “British” can be used to describe the royal system thingy, with whome she strongly dissagrees with.
265-I’m horribly glad that it’s not permanent. The blog wouldn’t be the same without you.
270-I can give you sixteen PiePoints, if you’d like, I have no use for them.
269–Graham crackers with peanut butter and marshmallow cream. Especially with chocolate graham crackers.
258–Quieres hablar espanol? Robert, could we have an international thread where people can speak lots of different languages? Including made up ones?
Does anyone have the script to an old Vaudeville skit called “Niagara Falls”? It has the line in it, “SLOOOOOOWLY I TURNED…” If someone does, maybe we can figure out a way to email it, I really want to perform it and I can’t find the script online.
(276) The web site suggests unplugging electronics that are not actively in use. It should also be noted that bservance allows for lights that are necessary for safety reasons.
273 – Oh, a languages thread! That would be great!
I saw Earth Hour on Google. My parents are going to be at a basketball game (The Stanford women’s basketball team vs. Pittsburg) so they’re not going to be here, but my brother, grandpa, and I might do it.
From what I read in the Earth Hour FAQ, I got the impression it’s all right to have the computers and other electronics on IF you’re actually using them at the time.
The Space Station’s going to be visible at 8 where I am, so my family’ll go watch that, then come inside and light some candles, kind of like a blackout, only it’s temporary.
Anybody have a good story about what happened to you durring The Blackout of ’03?
284- oh goodness!! i think the blackout purposely struck on one of the hottest days of the year, just to torture us poor souls who wanted our air conditioning on. it was so hot we couldn’t move. blegh.
i was..let’s see *counts on fingers* around eight or nine at the time, and i thought it was pretty exciting at first, but got pretty bored soon enough. we (my family and i) weren’t allowed to open the fridge (“because the cold air will get out and the food will go bad” said mother), so we had to satisfy ourselves with crackers and such.
otherwise, we pretty much played yahtzee the the whole time. we heard gunshots at one point, that was scary.
OOH i remember something now!! my brother was coming home from work when it happened, and the subway train he was on was just leaving the station. the whole train was in the tunnel except the last car, which was still in contact with the station platform, when the train stopped. by some crazy coincidence, my brother was in the said last car, and was one of the first to get out of the train.
it was pretty boring actually, and very very hot…but it’ll be an interesting story to tell our grandchildren..”let me tell you about the great blackout of ’03..”
From Wikipedia:
“The Northeast Blackout of 2003 was a massive widespread power outage that occurred throughout parts of the Northeastern and Midwestern United States, and Ontario, Canada on Thursday, August 14, 2003. Although not affecting as many people as the later 2003 Italy blackout, it was the largest blackout in North American history. It affected an estimated 10 million people in the province of Ontario (about one-third of the population of Canada) and 40 million people in eight U.S. states (about one-seventh of the population of the U.S.). Outage-related financial losses were estimated at $6 billion USD ($6 billion CDN).”
Hmmmmmm. I’ll probubly get everyone in my household to do it except my sister. She’s awake all the time these days working on schoolwork and scholarships. I don’t think she’d even turn off her lights for a few seconds.
288- Yeah, I guess so. Something to tell for posterity. I hear it was one of the inspirations for Lights Out America, a amateur astronomy group that was how I first heard of Earth Hour.
I’m not going to be home to participate, I always unplug my laptop at night and turn off unnecessary lights at home though…someone’s always leaving something on.
Hre in Southern California I am very familiar with rolling blackouts, so no light for an hour really isn’t much.
295–Lol yeah we plan on blackouts during the summer in SC. “Wup, it’s windy (or hot or dry or just about anything else), expect a blackout”. My neighbor bought a $3000 generator because they happen so frequently in my neighborhood (and ONLY in my neighborhood–we must be on a different grid or something, it’s very frustrating).
273–I tried, I couldn’t find the right one. Maybe I’ll ask the school drama teacher.
Uh, GAPAs? I just wanted to point out that the link on the “Happy Birthday, Luna the Lovely!” thread links to the February Birthday Thread, not the March one. Just FYI.
ATTENTION TO ALL MUSEBLOGGERS WHO LIKE WRITING:
Several of our RRRs have recently started becoming very active again! If you have worked on any of them in the past, it would be helpful if you would come back and help us write and throw around ideas – we’ll be happy to provide summaries!
Here are a few links to RRRs you may remember: https://musefanpage.com/blog/?p=1257 (Alternate History, North American Confederacy) https://musefanpage.com/blog/?p=1213 (The Sea Roc, Pirates, Magic)
It’s 9:22 local time, just turned everything back on. The ISS flyover was very nice, and after that I had a great stargazing session with my brother. Then I came inside and did a little meditation. I haven’t done that in a while. It felt good. I want to do this again next year.
Oh, I forgot to mention that I went to Olverta Street in L.A. yesterday. I went into this shop and the had these dolls. All the girl dolls looked worried and sorta scared. They were looking sideways at this creepy boy doll and he has an overbite and looks like what I first imagined Neville Longbottom to be. I also got giant tissue paper flowers, three little doggies in a basket, a snowcone, and I almost got an accordian!!
307 – my freind and I had to rescue her kitten from the empty bathtub because she was being a spaz
Today I had 3 hours of Stage Challenge practice and I fell on my left arm numerous times and now i have a large painful briuse on my elbow It really hurts!!!!!
(310) Banana, I still have a little pottery vase I bought for my mom during a 7th-grade field trip to Olvera Street. We stopped there for lunch then went to see Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead.
Hallo, everyone. Grant here, just popping in to ask how everyone’s pagan holiday was, and to express my exuberance that something cool awesome happens in less than 20 days. And, until another thread happens where I will be more noticed, I shall leave you with a few words:
Neh I don’t want to go! Waste of a good Sunday! But I suppose I’ll seriously mess up at my bat mitzvah (any of you chicago-ites want invites?) if I don’t go, so oh well.
321- Smashing, luv. I read it, and posted an appropriate comment on that thread.
319- I was rather busy for a while, so I had to let some things lag. Unfortunately that had to be the blog. By the way, who’s coming? Someone dangerous? If you like, I can make you one of my wooden letter openers. I found out the other day that one of my friends holds hers after she watches a scary movie.
I’m back from my relatives’ house…..that was semi-horrible. They made me go to a ‘Taste of” sort of thing, where there was really nothing to eat, and they had a clown. Just how young do they think I am???
Thanks to everybody who participated in Earth Hour. And to those awesome Australians who thought the whole thing up.
“In every stage, let history’s page advance Australia fair!”
330- *splutters* Principle, POSOC! PRINCIPLE! I – argh.
You’re an only child, obviously. You have never had a child scampering about after you pulling your hair while you talk to your friends. Her + me + my friends = utter embarrassment and annoyance.
Maybe it’ll be OK on MB, goodness knows I have a different personality here. But she’s done some fairly unforgivable things. And overexposure to her has made it worse.
333- Yes. Maybe. She’ll keep changing her name though. With every post. So I don’t see how she can get terribly established.
*prays*
My parents don’t get it. Daddy says, “Well, it’s public domain. If you want it to be private…”
“But I don’t want it to be private! I just don’t want her on there!”
“Get over it.”
And Mother said much the same thing. *sigh* They understand, but they don’t sympathize.
Alice-I feel your pain, my neice and nephew ALWAYS want to come with me to go to town with Yumeki, Ruka, Ji-Eun, Ji-Won and Ju-Yeon and Satoi omg if they came……*shudder*, I understand how you feel…
I should start getting ready for school….
I did say I was going to give my points away, so:
9 spdzk points to Kokonilly
8 spdzk points to Grant, if he wants them, or to Midnight Fiddler if he doesn’t.
And now to my main point:
Congratulations, GAPAS, fellow bloggers, you managed to make me want to keep blogging.
I don’t know why I wanted to stop blogging.
And I don’t know why I want to keep blogging.
But just so you know, I’m not leaving, because I can’t leave.
Actually, I do know why I came back.
Because I saw Kagcomix’s post right before my ‘farewell’ post.
Because I saw Grant’s posts this morning.
I came back because I saw two of my favorite bloggers posting again.
And because the H&H thread just seems incredibly intriguing.
And because I realized that I had gotten to a point where I was forcing myself not to post.
And this post has no point, and it’s my third post in a row.
Earth Hour was awesome. I was at a party, so they turned off the lights, turned up the rap, and danced in the dark. Muy muy fun.
Does “exsanguination” mean to die or something of that ilk? “ex”=opposite or not and “sanguin” means blood or red (referring to a ruddy complexion), so it must mean “the act of loosing blood”.
I could just look this up on Merriam-Webster, but roots are SO much better.
GAPAs- I just had a brilliant idea, you could create a
March Madness finals predictions thread were Musers
could post predictions on which of the final four teams
would get into the championship game & win the
championship! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
317~ Hi again! I was wondering if you’d pop up on here again. But, ahh, one of your “leaving words” was my real name, Fern. Eep!
327~ I gotmy violin in Ann Arbor last two years ago, at Shar music, if you went past there.
331~ Hmm, I don’t have any siblings, maybe I’m luckier than I thought. I do, however, have parents that often match your equation of self+parents+anyone else=disaster.
La Mort: I’m really glad you’ve decided to stay. I’d really miss you if you left. I’ll take the points, unless Grant wanted them,.
I have comment box shrinkage, so I’ll jus submit this post now.
The final four has been identified
all #1 seeds, North Carolina, Memphis, Kansas,
and UCLA on April 5th North Carolina will play
Memphis and Kansas will play UCLA and on
April 7th the winners of those two games
will play for the championship! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
317- I just discovered the meaning of those words! You were attacked by an ocelot, and then either it or you experienced exsanguination and died among the ferns.
348- Dad and I are still trying to convince Mum to take a weekend-type trip down to the National Maritime Museum and Colonial Jamestown, but no cigar this spring break. Perhaps this summer. Fern, eh? Did your parents like Charlotte’s Web, or just the name?
351- Nah, I was just trying to have interesting and lovely words to end my post. Ocelot is a particularly lovely sort of word, and ex-sanguin-ation is a serpentine word that trips across the tongue, and I just wanted a soft, velvety word to close it off, like fern.
DEAREST MUSEBLOGGERS:
You are all cordially invited to a party aboard the Sea Roc thread. (https://musefanpage.com/blog/?p=1213) Cat’s Meow, Alice, and kiwimuncher are proud to announce the completion of The Sea Roc Round Robin ‘Riting, and we would like to celebrate this grand occassion with as many MuseBloggers as possible.
We are having The Hare & Hedgepig cater our party, so you will be given the same wonderful food you can enjoy here.
We hope you will all come and celebrate this marvolous accomplishment with us!
Sincerely,
Cat’s Meow, Alice, and kiwimuncher
296) Earlier this year they had to bring in generators for each particular street in my neighborhood, cause we were just totally out of the loop with getting our power back. I think it was out for something like two or three days and my mom was gonna go insane.
It was in September so I couldn’t sleep at all, still hot. :/ So, essentially, I feel your pain.
GAPAs, could you direct me to the thread about colleges? Or perhaps create a new one. I’m not sure who all is of the age to begin to freak out about it, but I thought I’d ask anyway.
Oh, speaking of the Sea Roc, we’re going to start editing now, so this would be a perfect time, for anyone who wants to, to come on over and help out. I sure we could use a few fresh minds for anyone who wanted to stop in for a moment!
Hey guys. I havnt had time to catch up on everything yet, but will try soon. I have been pretty busy, and will be for a while. I wont be on a lot, but will stop in occasionally, sorry. I have lots to do. As I said on the romance thread, I have just been wanting to take a break for a while.
-dancergirl13
p.s. I am getting the ends of my hair dyed purple!!!! Fun fun!!
Sam – whatever I tell Mrs. Roxboro tomorrow in class, PLEASE follow it and don’t ruin it. Its a little April fools joke, which involves me “losing my voice” and not being allowed to talk for the next 2 weeks thus, I can’t do Merchant of Venice. hehehe
Oh and tomorrow isn’t Mufti – if you come mufti, you’ll get detention – it is just a joke someone is pulling on us. Brilliant though…
367-good plan ^^ either she’ll spaz out or catch on, I shall be much interested as to how it turns out
also-Im not THAT thick…pity we get detention though…we could have worn mufti anyway!!!
Flav REALLY has got it in for you cos of those posters! also in science and you said your fossil was good shes like – “ooh someones MODEST” be warned…when she gets a grudge…shudder, that happened to Aimee last year (u know, the spazzy girl next to you in science) she held a MASSIVE grudge against her for two terms and then Aimee went mad and literally flew at Flav and knocked her to the ground punching her and nearly strangling F with her tie…both of them are odd!
DONT TELL ANYONE ELSE ABOUT THE JOKE as they will all start laughing when you tell Mrs R
372- That’s got to be a good sign. Last year you didn’t create the thread and look what happened. Later someone said, “Now I know why you didn’t make an April Fool’s thread!”
So I will assume that no ferocious HPBs are going to swarm the blog tomorrow.
God, this was the worst spring break ever. Half of it was spent at rehearsal for the musical: 42nd Street, which has the worst plot ever contrived. I said we should do something like Urinetown, but our school is so PC is hurts. I hate PC. As Billy Connolly says, “Politically correct is the language of cowardice.”
350~ What color? Scary thought, the other day I had the urge to paint my nails. They are now metallic green.
352~ I’ll not be in Jamestown in April, but May I think I will be. Do let me know when it would be possible, then we might be able to schedule a Kokonvention.
My parents didn’t really name me after anyone in particular, they just heard the name and decided that they liked it. Besides, I was born in May, so that’s when all the ferns on our place come up.
365~ Don’t ever say that again or I will be forced to pie you with the most vicious spike pies that I can find. But really, don’t think that, it’s not tru in the least.
…I just noticed something odd. I recently posted on the Alter Ego thread under another name, and it had the usual “Your comment is awaiting moderation” thing, but when I posted here, under my normal name, that didn’t show up. In fact, it looked like my comment had disappeared.
382- No, no, not at all. PC stands for Politically Correct. If I hated you, I’d actually bother to find those symbols and put them into this tiny little box here. I put a lot of effort into hating. And I don’t hate you. So everything’s hunky-dory.
Except for the fact that I’m about out of joie de vivre.
372( Oh. OK. Happy April Fools! Whether it’s today or tomorrow!
377) lol
382) How did you find those symbols anyway? Are they from a different language or something?
Ug. I’m sick. Very sick. I felt bad because I practically passed out in my favorite class and I had to lay my head on my desk to stop to room from spinning. I disrespected my favorite teacher. Now she probubly thinks I’m a druggie or something.
La Mort: Yay! *blackberry pies* January seems to be haunting me, I’m glad it’s stopped stalking you. You’re one of my favorite bloggers, I hope you know.
Well, you and the other five million people on here. I luv pretty much everybody.
This girl that I met through my ex-friend who lives in Florida decided that I was a forty year old guy living in Arazona who likes stalking little kids and blocked me.
Ooh! I forgot! I’m gonna dye my air black () and put red highlights in it for my part as Iago in Aladdin.
And now, my comment box has shrunk and I’m probably typing jibberesh.
And mom hates me for being on. So I have to get off. Or she’ll kill me</strike eat my organs.
[Warning: THIS POST IS POINTLESS AND MAY BE ZAPPED WITHOUT MERCY]
I lost the comment box in the last post, so couldn’t quite get the HTML right. Could you wonderful GAPAs fix that strike-through at the botttom and make it “Or she’ll kill me eat my organs.
Welcome to STAVING OFF JANUARY AND YOU: An educational film strip without visual or sound.
In the modern world, many people are being burdened with the problem of global warming. Others are wondering where their portion is, there still being snow on the ground and a depressing air about everything. These others, commonly known as Jan-Bandits, are in need of help. Well, not anymore! With this educational film strip, the Jan-Bandits will no longer have to suffer under the oppressive thrall of the cold and dark months.
Step 1: Find a brightly colored shirt (Hawaiian, if possible) and some khaki pants that are shorter than long pants. They can be shorts, or they can be those ridiculous Gilligan’s Island-type pants I have in the drawer providing a footrest for me right now. Put these articles on. Some sandals wouldn’t hurt either.
Step 2: Go commando! There’s nothing like a healthy breeze ’round your naughty bits to help you feel spring, spring, springy!
Step 3: Get ahold of some freshly picked flowers. Scatter them behind you as you frolic through some sort of straight medium.
Step 4: Put on some music. NOT metal. Something like Mendelssohn’s Scherzo from A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Dance appropriately.
Step 5: Run outside, screaming, then halt in a powerful stance, give the finger to the sky with both hands outstretched, and curse the very name of January.
We at Stupid Satire Inc. hope that this filmstrip without visuals or sound has helped Jan-Bandits everywhere escape the ghastly shadow of winter.
Well, lets see, whats new…whats new…..OH!
Well here is a random interesting story!! My class went on a field trip to St. Louis the other day, and guess what happened!!! I passed out!!! It was interesting, I feel myself fall, someone catch me, then feel someone slapping my face trying to wake me up, people leaving the room, then my teacher calling 911. Apparently everyone thought I had fallen until my friend caught me and realized I was not, in fact, moving. So paramedics came and did all this stuff while my teachers tried to comfort me, and after my mom refusing to have me go to the hospital, my dad picked me up and we went home. So I went to the doctor the other day, and had to have blood tests done (I HATE NEEDLES!!!) and we havnt gotten the results back yet, so hopefully I am ok….I have never passed out before, but my Dr. said it may just be some sinus problems. FUN!!! How is that for an interesting field trip?
Enough of me, what is new with you guys while I was gone?
MUSEBLOG IS BACK! YAAAAAAAAY!
Wow, it’s back already? Or is this just for a second or two?
2 – It’s permenant-ish. For now it’s up, but it might go back down.
I have to go now, though. I have to get ready for the KOKONVENTION! -runs off screaming-
Hello everyone!!! how is everyone this fine easter eve afternoon?
Good!
i just did my easter egg dying. i attempted to recreate the foremost HPB egg in the picture for this thread, but it didn’t turn out very well…
IBCF- Hello, everyone!

7- send PICs!
Haha, hi guys! Have fun!
*Pies*
Red-tailed HAWK

(10) We’d love to see pictures! And we’ll be happy to post a selection — provided we get permissions from parental units.
11- Hi! Hi! Hi! Hi! Hi! Hi! etc.
Red-tailed HAWK

We’re going to be off for a little while. But never fear, we shall return, with more news to share! And pictures! Hurrah!
17-Bye!
I have to remember, it’s just after 2:00 there. Here it’s nearing suppertime!
Red-tailed HAWK

(20) Appearing in October of 2005, the Anti-Chatroom was a thread dedicated to long or longish posts.
(Meow)
*doesn’t know what to say* (Alice)
Kokonveentioneers~ Hey! I was thinking about you all today, I’m glad that your get-together went well!!!
16~ Yes, I remember that! There were two computers with a cluster of Musers around each one and Robert trying to keep up with all the posts we were generating on his little treo thing. *gets lost in memories*
I wore my Mostly Harmless shirt today.
My family didn’t get it.
It’s 4:30 over there now. So you are/were at IBCF’s house? Cool!
Hey, pie and ice cream!? Mmmmm…
Red-tailed HAWK

Well, they’re gone now… It was over so quickly…
Are you going to send PICTURES??? It sounds like so much fun.
I had to be at my grandmother’s house. Ugh.
26- Yes, just wait! My parents don’t want me to do it, as they’re afraid I’ll mess up, and they’re both very busy at the moment. I’ll probably be able to send them in a few hours.
It feels great to be back!
The Kokonvention is over now.
We’ll get pictures to you guys as soon as possible. They’re spread out over 3+ cameras, though, so it might take a few days!
Was the Spector House song the one I wrote? *hopes*
30- Yes.
The pictures are ready, but I need to make sure that the GAPAs and the other parent consent to let me send photographs with our faces on them. I’ve sent one, though, with our faces covered up with Muse magazines…
If I get to go to Space Academy this summer I will try to take along a Muse issue and photograph myself in front of some hardware.
Did you get the picture yet? *impatient grasshopper*
(33) No need for impatience, Grasshopper. The picture is already up.
31 – Oh, you sent that one? I thought it might have been my dad. Um, well, I’ll get him to e-mail the GAPAs soon. I think he’s watching a basketball game right now.
30- Yes…I’m sorry…
I’ll go get that ready now so that everyone can hear our voices raised in loving praise of our beautiful Spector House. At least it was (sort of) heartfelt. We were all a bit embarrassed…
I wish it had been three or four times as long.
Hardeeharharhar… I am so happy my cat didn’t start yowling in the middle of the night like she’s done for the past two days. I actually got a good night’s sleep.
yay.
Happy Easter everyone!!!
I just had a blue/pink tinted egg salad sandwich.
36 –
Noooooooooo. Emberrassed is an understatement.
I GOT HOT PINK BUNNY PEEPS IN MY EASTER BASKET. I’ll make sure to send a picture.
39-Easter seems to be a sort of hpb appreciation day, doesn’t it?
40 – Of course. What else could it be?
I have so much homework to do today…an essay, 2 stories for my school’s newspaper that have to be 500-700 words, a standerized test prep packet, some history assignment, a speech to write for history class…
And all of this has to be turned in, despite the fact that I’ll be on a field trip all day tomorrow.
Urgh.
41- *dies of shock*
*revives and checks blog*
*dies again*
*dies of shock*
*revives and checks blog*
*dies again*
*dies of shock*
*revives and checks blog*
*dies again* (And so on and so forth)
On a different and totally random note (but thats what this is for after all) does anyone know a good online translator?
41- No hot pink lagomorph is going to tell me to grovel! *boycotts Easter*
44 – Google has a translator, although it’s not very reliable. If you go to their homepage and click on the small link that says “Language Tools”. It’s not a great translator, but it’s better than nothing.
45 – Fine. I’ll eat all your candy, if you don’t want it.
Endeavour’s crew finished thier last spacewalk and are getting ready to undock from the station on Monday. They’ll be home Wednesday, Force willing.
46- No, the candy is fine. I’m just boycotting the HPB appreciation part of Easter. *boycotts*
Happy Easter everyone!!
And HPB Bumper Stickers from MLC.
44- why are you looking for a good one? bad translators are so much more entertaining.
Kokovention?! Awesome! *hopes for pics*
Happy Easter everyone!
Yes! I can finally eat chocolate! (I gave up chocolate for lent)
50) Really? So, on easter, there really used to be pink bunnies? Whoah……………

56- We’ve already got pics on the Spokane Kokonvention thread.
59- Lynne something. I forget the last name.
59, 60 – Lynne Cox
60- anychance of finding the article anyone?
Greekgurl- I’m sorry. I remember the article, but not which mag it was in.
62 – July/August 2006
Oh. That’s…odd.
66~ That’s funny, was that the wording she used hen she wrote it?
68- Yes.
In case anyone was wondering, the “prejudiced dragon” refers to the Flight of the Conchords song “Albi the racist Dragon” that we watched on youtube once. Ditto with the “Albanian witch”.
66- I found all but the hope, tragedy, and religion. Although perhaps the latter was tied to the revelation?
66-Haha! Nice story.
I wish they made M&M shells with nothing inside. I love eating M&M shells. It would be even better if they were still in a hollow shape and I didn’t have to pick them off the M&Ms.
I eat weird things.
70 – Tragedy is probably the girl getting eaten. Hope…hope, many the hope of the girl getting eaten? I dunno.
(71) I heard today that it’s possible to have customized words or patterns printed on M&Ms. Hm… that gives me an  …
71 – I’ll bet they would squish in the bag.
73 – HPB M&Ms. THAT WOULD BE SO COOL.
-looks it up- Aww, man. You can’t do patterns, just words.
We could still do Mostly Harmless/Koko For President.
72- Or maybe the girl hoping the boy will save her…
73- *shudders*
72- That’s not what I mean… look:

76 – Oh, you’re right. I didn’t even notice that.
76, 77- My sister is presently amused at our antics.
78- Really? I can’t think why?
Could you ask her where the hope, tragedy, and religion come in?
79- Hey guys, this is “her.” I must admit that I honestly forgot to explicitly include the words hope, tragedy, and religion, so that means I’m leaving them open for interpretation. Perhaps you were on the right track with “religion” and “revelation.” I bet eating partially defatted peanuts is most certainly a religious experience. Otherwise, it’s all up to the reader.
Don’t you hate it when writers do that?
I liked the story as well as Alice’s way of looking at it.
M+Ms O_o…
78 – Hmm, I can’t understand why. Tell her hi, and, as Alice said, ask her where the hope, tragedy and religion are.
There is current a documentary on TV about dinosaurs. And guess what. They’re talking about Liopleurodons.

80- Well, there you have it. See if you can make anything out of it, I’m busy smuggling all the leftover Easter candy into my room.
59 – it was in the July 2005 or 2006 – i cant remeber which year but i know it was July since i was in alaska and I remember my dad bringing Muse up. I think it was 06
80- Hmm. It’s not particularly tragic. Or hopeful. But I’ll pretend it is, and a new religion can be created worshiping partially defatted peanuts.
87- I ♥ Improv Everywhere.
And yes, I remember April 1st. We can only pray that it won’t repeat itself.
87- I don’t think the GAPAs will do that to us again; the bunny invasion messed up the Blog and made everyone angry and annoyed. Or would they…? *shudders*
89- Who said anything about the GAPAs being involved?
89 – What Alice said!

73- We can print dozens of bags that say
Read Muse!
And sneak them into vending machines.
57) Awesome!

66) Wow. That’s kind of……… well…… funny!
91) Freeze? Freeze?! You wouldn’t do to my garden would you? *whimper*
Endeavour is set to undock at 5:13 EDT today.
Mom won’t let me buy a Lego space shuttle set. She says I’m too old to play with Legos.
92- I was one of those posters, and in retrospect, I think I overreacted slightly. It was actually quite funny (although very creepy).
I don’t think I would have gotten as mad if the other threads hadn’t suddenly been closed.
53- no can find. You can post a link by putting spaces into it.
95- WHAT!!!!!!!!????? To old to play with Legos? Your mother is deranged!
I don’t know where to ask this – Robert or Lady Bunniful, could you please add a Musery logo of a hot pink bunny with “pure evil” under it? That would be awesome if you could.
87- ooh, yes, Improv Everywhere is great!
-97 right, no one is to old to play with legos, or to build cool things with them.
Ooh. April 1st approaches.
*cowers*
*peeks out behind fingers*
A queshiezzx is a thing of thought. It is made with moonbeams and sunshine mixed together in a vat of hope, emiting the steam of peace and aroma of love.
Would you like a queshiezzx? I have orange ones!
It’s back. *confused* Why? How? What’s going on?
(102) I wish I knew, Alice. Firefox shut down on me, and when it restarted there was MuseBlog.
Hmm, I’ll go check ome other threads and see what’s been up. f it crashes into oblivion again I’ll retreat to Muse Academy and curl up with one of the cozy blankets that was handed out on the random thread over there.
I have nothing better to do, so I will post another one of my infamous song parodies. This one’s to the tune of “Hard-Knock Life.” (I had way to much time on my hands during Annie rehearsals.)
It’s a flying pie for us
It’s a flying pie for us
Pies are coming
Better hide
If you don’t then
You’ll get pied
It’s a flying pie
Yes my friends, it’s really so
It’s the pie war row we hoe
Often you will
Hear a splat
Once or twice you’ll
Get knocked flat
It’s a flying pie
Don’t it feel like the pies are always flying
Don’t it feel like pastry’s always in the air
One day we will take over the world
That really should give others quite a scare
We are a band of faithful Musers
We love paper and we love ink
Though some may brand us losers
We’re just some random kids who like to think
Oh!
Boysenberry pie
Gooey cherry pie
Banana cream pie
So good you could scream pie
Kokopelli’s possessed me
Koko, we give thanks to thee
For life is never a bore
When your in a pie war
It’s a flying pie
(several bars of full-fledged pie war madness)
It’s a flying pie for us
It’s a flying pie for us
For life is never a bore
When your in a pie war
It’s a flying pie, it’s a flying pie
It’s a flying pie!
Um, sorry this is so random, but it IS the random thread, so…
The “Muses on Ebay” threads…….why do you put them? You can’t write anything there, so it seems a bit pointless…
106~ I think it’s just a general announcement. They do that now and then to alert us about things of interest, and if there isn’t any need for us to talk back, there isn’t a pace to post on them.
Hips Don’t Lie, By ShakiraScales Don’t Lie, by Beavo! [Period added. –Admin.]
Ladies up in here tonight
We’ll weigh em, we’ll weigh em
We got the refugees up in here
We’ll weigh em
Latifa, Latifa!
I never really knew that she could weigh that much
She makes a man wants to see her lunch
Como se llama (si), gorda (si), mi comida (si, Latifa, Latifa), su comida
Latifa, Latifa
Oh baby when you eat like that
You make a woman get fat
So be wise and keep on
Adding the pounds to my body
And I’m fat tonight
You know my scales don’t lie
And I’m starting to feel the weight
All the Cheetos, Doritos
Don’t you see baby, this is unhealthy
Hey Girl, I can see your belly jiggling
And it’s driving me crazy
And I didn’t have the slightest idea
Until I saw you eating
And when you walk up in the kitchen
Nobody cannot ignore your unhealthy habits, girl
And everything so unexpected – the way you scarf and wolf it
So you can keep on eating it
I never really knew that she could weigh that much
She makes a man wants to see her lunch
Como se llama (si), bonita (si), mi comida (si, Latifa, Latifa), su comida
Latifa, Latifa
Oh baby when you eat like that
You make a woman get fat
So be wise and keep on
Adding the pounds to my body
And I’m fat tonight
You know my scales don’t lie
And I am starting to feel the weight
Come on, feed me, real fast
’Cause this food asi es perfecto
And I’m fat tonight
You know my scales don’t lie
And I’m starting to feel the weight
All the Cheetos, Doritos
Don’t you see baby, this is unhealthy
Oh boy, I can my body growing
Half fat, half me
I don’t, don’t really know what I’m doing
But I seem to be hungry
My will and self restraint
Have come to fail now, fail now
See, I am doing what I can, but I can’t so you know
That’s a bit too hard to explain
Come en la calle de noche
Come en la calle de da
Come en la calle de noche
Come en la calle de da
I never really knew that she could eat that much
She makes a man want to see her lunch
Como se llama (si), gorda (si), mi comida (si, Latifa, Latifa), su comida
Latifa, Latifa
Oh baby when you talk eat that
You know you got me hypnotized
So be wise and keep on
Feeding the fat on my body
Senorita, eat the food now, let me see you eat like you come from America
Mira en Barranquilla se baila as, eat it!
Mira en Barranquilla se baila as
Yeah
She’s so hungry every foods fantasy a slob like me back with the Americans from a Five Star restaurant
I go back like when she was as thin as Brittany Spears
She make a whole club hungry
Why Weight watchers wanna watch her?
French and Italian
She ain’t hungry, it’s her family tradition
No more does she scarf cake
She runs the restaurant because she owns her own float (YO)
And I’m fat tonight
You know my scales don’t lie
And I am starting to feel the weight
Come on, feed me, real fast
’Cause this food asi es perfecto

You know my scales don’t lie
And I’m starting to feel the weight
All the Cheetos, Doritos
Don’t you see baby, this is unhealthy
We’ll weigh em
We’ll weigh em
108 – THAT WAS LONG.
Let this be a warning to the perils of not including a period early in your post.
105, 108- *clapclaplclap*
*is back-ish*
*is verrrrrrrrrrrrrry tired*
*is glad that the blog is working*
*but does not actually want to post*
111- *why not?*
Greetings fellow musers! I have had time to drift by the blog again. I can gladly say that my wretched IB project is done. Now I have to write a bunch of reflection crap about how I learned. Hooray…
113- eeuch, IB. I’m in the middle of writing stuff for my theatre test and then I’ll have to finish my CAS portfolio.
108-Hahahah! That’s awesome!
Improv Everywhere is amazing!
(106, 107) MF is correct. We announce the Ebay sales so MBers can go to Ebay and buy back issues if they want to. Some do.
(105) Great song!
Well then, I was just about to post that you wouldn’t come on the blog.
119- To tell you the truth, these days aren’t really that bad compared to the “good old days”. Veterans and Newbies came and left then, and they come and leave now. Change isn’t always for the worse, you know.
110 – I agree with you look on the first Hareathon for my rant about the newbies
121- I have to say I like tha blog the way it is NOW.
119. yes, i imagine you look just regularly Dumbledorish. *rolls eyes playfully*
They are going to put the Mars rover Spirit in temporary shut-down to deal with budget problems.
That little guy’s survived dust storms, frost, fierce winds- but even he can’t fight the government.
NASA don’t get no love.
A moment of silence for Spirit, please.
I am back! I was at Las Vegas… got back last night around midnight.
SPRING BREAK!!!
LATEST NEWS FROM THE PLANETARY SOCIETY
Spirit has been saved!
What do the gamers say, woot?
Aaaand it’s back.
I wish this switching would stop.
(127) You and me, both.
128- Me three.
127,128, &129 – whats back?????????????????
130- MuseBlog.
so. Alice reminds me of my friend Mary. Does anyone else know MBers that remind them of people they know in person?
131 – oh hahaha im just a bit slow today
132- no
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! the recent comment bar as been overtaken by a non puctuated post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
132~ Sometimes, I guess. I can’t think of any particular occurrances at the moment, but every now and then.
someone here reenacts…i can never remember who…
midnight fiddler!!! you’re the reenactor!! well my friend kaitlyn reenacts as well. there, midnight fiddler reminds me of my friend, kaitlyn.
well Mary and Alice seem similar personality-wise. and both are involved with theatre. Mainly it is just that both are really nice people who care about everyone.
121- Change isn’t always good either.
Seriously, why the 5,000 thing?
(143) Chocolate sounds cheery to me.
144- Yes. I do have one of those mediocre chocolate easter eggs in the fridge…
But not at this hour. Good night!
143- As long as you can give me chocolate, Alice, I’m cheered.
YESSSSS! bACK ON MB!!!!!!!finally!!!! I went tramping round Te Anau for easter, got bitten by sandflies and there were too many bees! beautiful scenery though its for Duke of Edinbourough but I have to finish my summary/coordinates/report of it before I can say Ive done it…oh welll….
night all
just wondering–has the KoKon been yet?
see you all
Sam
Endeavour’s going to land at 7:04 PM, EDT in Florida.
And people wonder why I walk so fast.
It’s
weirdmiserable in MN. Cold, wet… bleh.151- Dang. I missed the car keys.
The weather’s picking up over here. It was snowing heavily Friday.
To all those complaining about weather- I’m in FLORIDA! And it’s warm. HAHA!
Yay! We’re back! *huggles*
I want Warriors… OUTCAST! COME OUT! April 22nd won’t come fast enough for me…
Our condo doesn’t have any…
I am deprived XD
Bye all!
157- I’m sorry! I need to help.
158- Ooh… Skiiing scares me…
It is now snowing. Rather a lot. Which is odd.
The likelihood that it will last until Monday, thus giving me a delay or even a whole snow day, is so slim it need not even be contemplated. And yet I contemplate…
Opal = Annoying. Opal + friend = REALLY REALLY annoying.
Google [Snip! Sorry, Kokonilly. We really don’t want MBers telling the whole world how to find them. –Admin.] and click on the first hit. ((My blog — [Snip, again.]))
Anyway…
It’s cold outside. When it’s cold outside, I’ve got the month of May… and I guess you say… what could make me feel this way…
Sorry, I’ll take it to Song Lyrics.
Shouldn’t that have been sniped? the blog part?
Did so, just before your post arrived. Thanks for the vigilance.
163- Your Welcome!
The Man For Aeiou, Privacy Protector
I step out of my nice steamy bath and what do I see? SNOW!!!! IN *******!!! IN MARCH!!!!! *rants*
166 – I feel your pain. LAst year, we had one snow day the WHOLE YEAR. About 2 feet of snow fell… in MARCH.
That was very dramatic. The window blew open and snow was blowing in and the curtain was billowing… The wind keeps changing direction, so the snow’ll be blowing one way one minute and another the next.
Slight change of plan, landing at the Cape at 8:39 EDT.
Seven minutes to landing.
All looks good.
At ninety thousand feet, traveling 2000 miles per hour.
Five mintues…
This live feed rocks.
We have visual.
52 thousand feet.
1000 miles per hour.
171- Not on MB I’m not. But I’m a completely different person when I’m not around you guys.
Safe touchdown.
Flamabulatious.
157) Oh.
I’m sorry.
164) My Easter was awesome!
Bye bye!
178- Don’t be sorry!
Hello.
Sorry that this will be pointless.
Goodbye.
180- Hello! Goodbye!
181- It’s sort of hard to explain. I don’t really understand either. But I think it might have something to do with the group of people. Because at the kokon, my MB personality came out, even though I wasn’t on MB.
I’ve decided that I want to be Kelly for Haloween, and I’m now recruiting pink striped socks and leather jackets and blonde wigs.
Pardon the double post.
Goodnight everyone!! Pies and peace! ♥
188 – Huh???
I talk to myself a lot. It bugs a lot of people.
we had science club today at the Otago University
oh the good times…Be Damned thou inexcrable dog!!
we were looking at honey bees and we got to dress up in funny bee suits and Zoe (from MB) said, while I was holding the pristine white suit and she was holding the mucky suit, “I think you are XL” -may I add that I am VERY short and thin- and quickly swapped the suits, I was too bewildered to object so I looked similar to that of a large marshmallow mushroom, but we go to see bees and the Queen and a 1nce in a lifetime chance (apparently) to see a virgin queen which Peter ( the scientist) killed because appparently she would have to fight with the old queen, who would lose, and the new one would not be able to mate as it is too late into autumn which would be bad for the colony and Peter’s reasearch
AAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
still, I get to insult Zoe in Shakespearean without getting told off
ah…its great
And by the way, GAPAs, I apologize for giving you all of those play-by-play posts from the landing to moderate at once.
woo hoo!

Good morning everyone!
*eats colored easter egg*
190) Oh NO! You haven’t learned you lines?!
Oh… wait….. what play is this? It sounds……. interesting…………
Yay! Museblog is back!
I wanted hot-pink bunny Peeps for Easter just so I could have the satisfaction of gobbling them up.
195 – Cute!!! Could you send in pictures, mayhaps?
194- Mehehehahahahaha… *chomps on hot-pink bunny peeps*
195- Cool! Yes, send pictures!
I have a track meet today, and I think I’m going to lose. Badly. *sigh*
(191) No apology necessary, KaiYves. I, for one, enjoy your bulletins.
Yuck. But cool!
(197) Carb-loading helps, I hear. Better keep eating those peeps.
Can we have the april muse threads? I just got it…
Oh. Look. It’s snowing again. How wonderful.
Only now it’s rain, so that’s alright.
My fingers are really cold and sort of failing to cooperate.
202 – Why? Are you outside?
(Double post? If so, sorry!)
Wait a minute… *does a double-take* Doesn’t that other egg in the basket also have a crack in it? The one with the flowery-thing on it?
*backs away slowly* *runs*
203- Outside? No. But it’s cold inside too.

Do you guys want to hear some incredibly long
rantsstories from the past week?208- Why not?
One good thing about real life: It doesn’t have plot holes.
What is a plot hole? ? ??
I should know this!
Does it have to do with reading?
210- It is something in the plot of a story or movie that is inconsistent with the rest of the plot.
OK. Bad example. But do you get my drift?

Please, suggestions?
Hi everyone!! I’m at the library and I don’t know when it’s going to cut me off, joy! (sarcasm)
It’s raining here. I can;t think of anything particularly witty to say, so I’ll go look at some other threads…
(215) Onion soup.
…I just realized that the end of post 219 sounds bad. Don’t worry, I’m not getting suicidal again.
215- squash soup, black bean soup, black bean and squash soup. all are excellent. Now I’m hungry!
Has anyone learned about molarity? Did post 188 make /any/ sense?
I like the lander announcements!
so, since i’m much too lazy to read through comments and figure it out for myself, what exactly happened to the blog? all i got was error messages for a while.
*random*
I am whittling an HPB out of soap with a small Swiss Army knife.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to wash the soap dust off of my hands.
has anyone here read ‘the master and margerita’?
Nothing interesting has happened today, except for me sending my NaNoWriMo to my Language Arts teacher and telling Mom off for using the word “British” to say “the British ‘Garks”.
Because the Brits are awesome!
Especially the girls…
Has anyone gone to an immersion school? I went to a Spanish Immersion elementary school and I’m curious.
225 –
222 – Yes, I think it was down for a bit.
Ghaa. I need to think of two examples of humor, and then figure out what type of humor they are.
*sighs*
213- I must have told you at least five times, t’s out of my hands now. It probably won’t happen anyway, but you never can tell.
231- Aw, I’m sorry it went badly.
Much better than some lady named Wallace (isn’t that a boys name?) lecture on a city! teehee
AAARG the waiting comment is *gasp* GONEEEEEE!!!!
what has become of this cruel, dark world??
230) Ow. Poor apple!
(Teehee)
Neh,,, I don’t have anything to talk about. I want to go swim. That’s what I’ll do.
Is there any reason nobody responds to my posts?
I had a track meet yesterday. 7:54 mile. Very happy.
238) I’m responding!
225- Beavo, I seriously suggest that you make some earnest revisions to that comment, before I allow some of my friends to read it. My BRITISH friends, and my British non friends.
I told Axa I’d post again so umhai? -floats past-
I have a feeling I ought to be discussing something but have very little knowledge of what is being discussed.
Anyway, nothing of interest is going on here.
235-yes, it is, I was really cnfused when a girl walked in
242) Y HALO THAR
plz send me some of those gummies omfg
237) Oops. I forgot to add consommes. They can be made with just about anything too!
Still whittling away. I lost my Swiss Army knife, though. Sigh…
238- Wait – who’s not responding? I just don’t really have anything to say…
242- Penty! Hello (again)!
I love food. Just not cooking it. Tomato soup is AMAZING, especially (as Kiki said) with grilled cheese sandwiches. Mmmm…
247- Lots of vitamins…lots of water… Yup, yup. Hasn’t really helped though. *has been sick since September (on and off of course)*
And I just walked up the hill so I’m horribly horribly dizzy. *falls over* Hate that…
246 – my youre up early – I only just got up now!!!
251 – What time did you fall asleep? 3 AM?
I STILL CAN’T FIND IT!!! *cries*
hi there pent-tay and axa!
again, anyone gone to/heard of an immersion school?
UP, yeah, I have the same problem. sort of. I shall describe it on R+R. See you there?
food is good. I like chocolate, sour cream and onion chips, daal soup, samosas, enpanadas, kash-e-badmjan and various other things that I shall remember as soon as I press ‘submit’.
now I am hungry.
253- I would LOVE to take Immersion Spanish. Unfortunately my school does not offer it.
I’m not sure what an immersion school is though.
*goes to R&R*
259 – Not at ours. By 2nd or 3rd grade if we talked to our teachers in English they would pretend that couldn’t understand us.
Mm, I forgot samosas. Good stuff.
Good morning everyone!
263- good morning.
up here in my country we have french emersion schools. i was in one K-3 but then I went of to an arts school. currently I am eating graham crackers and they are deliciouse.
264~ Grahm crackers are the best when al soggy with milk. (soymilk, in my case.)
265~ Aww, don’t leave!! I’m glad you say it’s not permanent, but I’ll miss you just the same.
266- actualy, they are the best when all soggy with jasmine tea!
(266, 267) Peanut butter is often a worthwhile addition, I find.

265 – I’m sorry. How about giving your points to your best buddy Kokonilly?
265- Goodbye, again. I shall see you sometime in the future.
Earth Hour’s tonight. Remember to turn off your lights from 8-9 PM, your local time to flight global warming.
275- I won’t be here! But maybe I can do it in the country. Where we’re not all terrified to light candles.
Do we have to turn off our computers too? And heat? And other things?
273-“Canst thou not Google?” -Robert Coontz
(276) The web site suggests unplugging electronics that are not actively in use. It should also be noted that bservance allows for lights that are necessary for safety reasons.
276- Computers, yes. Heat, no.
I’m getting my MuseBlogging done durring the daylight hours.
265-What are spdzk points?
273 – Oh, a languages thread! That would be great!
I saw Earth Hour on Google. My parents are going to be at a basketball game (The Stanford women’s basketball team vs. Pittsburg) so they’re not going to be here, but my brother, grandpa, and I might do it.
Well, I’ll never get my dad to do that.
“Daddy, you need to unplug your computer.”
“I’m using it.”
*sigh*
(Alice)
(Alice’s Dad)
(Alice)
From what I read in the Earth Hour FAQ, I got the impression it’s all right to have the computers and other electronics on IF you’re actually using them at the time.
The Space Station’s going to be visible at 8 where I am, so my family’ll go watch that, then come inside and light some candles, kind of like a blackout, only it’s temporary.
Anybody have a good story about what happened to you durring The Blackout of ’03?
283- Get ready for a comment frenzy.
284- ’03? I was eleven… I don’t remember it. In fact, I’ve never heard of it in my life. (The Blackout of ’07 is quite another matter…)
Oh…. New York. I’ve never been to New York, so that would explain it…
284- oh goodness!! i think the blackout purposely struck on one of the hottest days of the year, just to torture us poor souls who wanted our air conditioning on. it was so hot we couldn’t move. blegh.
i was..let’s see *counts on fingers* around eight or nine at the time, and i thought it was pretty exciting at first, but got pretty bored soon enough. we (my family and i) weren’t allowed to open the fridge (“because the cold air will get out and the food will go bad” said mother), so we had to satisfy ourselves with crackers and such.
otherwise, we pretty much played yahtzee the the whole time. we heard gunshots at one point, that was scary.
I’m disgusted. Someone just sent me a Youtube video of Mad TV’s “Tickle Me Emo”.
Grahm cracker with nutella.
280) Good question……
Hmmmmmm. I’ll probubly get everyone in my household to do it except my sister. She’s awake all the time these days working on schoolwork and scholarships. I don’t think she’d even turn off her lights for a few seconds.
289- Some people shouldn’t be let within 100 yards of a computer with functioning internet access.
288- Yeah, I guess so. Something to tell for posterity. I hear it was one of the inspirations for Lights Out America, a amateur astronomy group that was how I first heard of Earth Hour.
290- Wait. Not eleven. Nine. *hits self over head* I can’t do math…
290) Hmm, I remember that.
Just FYI.
273~ ANYTHING with nutella, really. Yuuuuummmmm. I’m hopeless for nutella, totally hopeless.
I love Nutella.

Earth Hour! *turns off lights* Wow. It’s so… dark.
It’s 9:22 local time, just turned everything back on. The ISS flyover was very nice, and after that I had a great stargazing session with my brother. Then I came inside and did a little meditation. I haven’t done that in a while. It felt good. I want to do this again next year.
252-durrrrr myself and Zoe live in the realms of the cold, wet and insanely dull, that is, New Zealand and is roughly….hang on Ill check….
well, today is March 30 (a Sunday) and its 2-37 pm so its 8-37 pm on March 29 in USA if you are good at maths you vcan figure it out…which Im not
I just got back from a taekwondo tournament. I love their lovely time management skills. Or i would if the had any. They were running an hour late.
Awww my spring break is almost over. I don’t want to go back to school. But we only have about 30 days left so that’s good.
Earth Hour has begun. And it’s really dark. -shivers-
I have returned! Flee, mortals, flee!!
In other news I ound a dead mouse in the toilet. Ewewewewew. >.
yes – 252 – it was 11 am when i posted that!!! hehe
Sigh. I am feeling unloved.
Oh, and a elephant necklace and a piggy, both made of glass.
I’m going. I’m feeling unwanted.
*sniff*
*choke*
310 – scary shop!!!!
307 – my freind and I had to rescue her kitten from the empty bathtub because she was being a spaz
Today I had 3 hours of Stage Challenge practice and I fell on my left arm numerous times and now i have a large painful briuse on my elbow
It really hurts!!!!!
Banana dont go – we still love you!!!
309, 312 – What’s up?
(310) Banana, I still have a little pottery vase I bought for my mom during a 7th-grade field trip to Olvera Street. We stopped there for lunch then went to see Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead.
Hallo, everyone. Grant here, just popping in to ask how everyone’s pagan holiday was, and to express my exuberance that something cool awesome happens in less than 20 days. And, until another thread happens where I will be more noticed, I shall leave you with a few words:
Ocelot. Exsanguination. Fern.
POPOPO
my friend wants 2 know what time it is in America so Im posting this to see?
317- Grant! Where did you go? I kept wondering what happened to you.
We just watched Kitchen Nightmares. It was slightly nerve-wracking.
ARGH!
*draws chalk circle*
*sits in middle*
*surrounds self with talismans*
*intones protective spells*
*whispers* She is coming.
GRANT! I finally posted Chapter 2 of my book, if you want to read it.
It’s on the Books in Progress thread, post 223.
poop.
Sunday school.
poop.

Oh, I forgot to mention- on Monday and Tuesday I was in MiCHIgan, specifically Ann Arbor.
323- Her. My sister. The one I try to avoid by coming to MuseBlog. She posted last night. *shudders*
A letter opener sounds wonderful. Thank you.
Thanks to everybody who participated in Earth Hour. And to those awesome Australians who thought the whole thing up.
“In every stage, let history’s page advance Australia fair!”
328- She goes by Star Forest? Why do you try to avoid her? She seems nice on MB.
Yay Grant is back!
I didn’t get to do Earth Hour at my house, because I was enjoying the lovely scheduling skills of ATA tournament organizers, and then driving home.
331 – Just don’t make a big deal out of it. She’ll forget soon.
It is just past 10am, and I have already played 2 soccer games. We won.
6am soccer games ftw.
Wow! 2? How early were you up?!
333- Yes.
325&326- Nobody seems to be decoding my messages so my
pig latin phase has now ended! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
THE SEA ROC RRR IS DONE!
This Acnocment is brought to you by the people for the advancement of RRRs
You guys don’t have to read this.
340- *feels January rushing back* *stamps it underfoot* Yay! That’s great! *refuses to get sappy* Have a pie!
342- *takes pie*
I’m not trying to get January to rush back! It’s just a simple fact that in the space of 24 hours, I wanted to blog again.
344- Haha. Not you fault at all. It’s not the bad part of January, just the sappy part, and everyone knows that I have a secret emotional side.
GAPAs- I just had a brilliant idea, you could create a
March Madness finals predictions thread were Musers
could post predictions on which of the final four teams
would get into the championship game & win the
championship! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
343- Exsanguination is dying of blood loss.
I have comment box shrinkage, so I’ll jus submit this post now.
all #1 seeds, North Carolina, Memphis, Kansas,
and UCLA on April 5th North Carolina will play
Memphis and Kansas will play UCLA and on
April 7th the winners of those two games
will play for the championship! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
I painted my nails!!!! they is much shiny…………
317- I just discovered the meaning of those words! You were attacked by an ocelot, and then either it or you experienced exsanguination and died among the ferns.
Nah, I’m fine without points.
348- Dad and I are still trying to convince Mum to take a weekend-type trip down to the National Maritime Museum and Colonial Jamestown, but no cigar this spring break. Perhaps this summer. Fern, eh? Did your parents like Charlotte’s Web, or just the name?
317) What?
348) What are these points?
338) It’s DONE! OMG!
I have to get over there! Bye!
351- Nah, I was just trying to have interesting and lovely words to end my post. Ocelot is a particularly lovely sort of word, and ex-sanguin-ation is a serpentine word that trips across the tongue, and I just wanted a soft, velvety word to close it off, like fern.
354- Oh, good. *breathes sigh of relief* But I quite agree. Ocelot in particular is a wonderful word.
DEAREST MUSEBLOGGERS:

296) Earlier this year they had to bring in generators for each particular street in my neighborhood, cause we were just totally out of the loop with getting our power back. I think it was out for something like two or three days and my mom was gonna go insane.
It was in September so I couldn’t sleep at all, still hot. :/ So, essentially, I feel your pain.
GAPAs, could you direct me to the thread about colleges? Or perhaps create a new one. I’m not sure who all is of the age to begin to freak out about it, but I thought I’d ask anyway.
Oh No! My school starts back up again tomorrow after Spring break!
I don’t wanna go!!!!!!!!!! *whines*
Fun fun!!
357–I’m definitely there. Ick.
360–Lucky, I want to dye my hair too. Maybe bubblegum pink, tho.
272 – Ok! *adds to name*
339 – Thanks a bunch, pal! *adds to name*
I know someone who used to have a purple fringe on her hair. Last time I saw her it was orange. Very odd with black hair.
358-*Joins back to school whining.*
Woooo Cleveland Cavs win!
I just got back from their game. It was funnnnn.
Oh, I forgot to let you lot know: I’m the most worthless piece of refuse on the face of the planet.
365- *wishes there was a “:concerned:” smiley* What makes you say that?
OOOHHHH tomorrows April fools day!!!!
Can we please have an April Fools Thread today because it is April Fools for me and Sam!!!!
please!?!?!?!?!
But today isn’t April Fools. That tomorrow…..
364- So your a Cavs fan too Unintended Pun.
Alas, the end of spring break,
I’m sooo not ready for school
to start up again! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
(370) Zoe and Sam are in New Zealand, where everything happens sooner (or later, depending on how you look at it). I’ll create the thread.
372- That’s got to be a good sign. Last year you didn’t create the thread and look what happened. Later someone said, “Now I know why you didn’t make an April Fool’s thread!”
So I will assume that no ferocious HPBs are going to swarm the blog tomorrow.
Someone wanted a college thread, I believe. Seconded, at any rate.
373 (Alice)- Ugh, your name reminds me that I ought to be editing and rewriting. Or at least writing. Which I’m not, obviously.
And I’m hungry. Blarg.
365- No, you’re not.
Not much happening today. Posting durring school lunch from the library.
376- *chucks spike pie at politically corrected-ness*
_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_/\_
____/
\____
Wait–was it politically correct to do that?
I am so! It even says so on my Facebook status!
To my chagrin, my email was not picked for this week’s sbemail. I had rather hoped it would be, it was very clever.
365- What? Don’t say that!
…I just noticed something odd. I recently posted on the Alter Ego thread under another name, and it had the usual “Your comment is awaiting moderation” thing, but when I posted here, under my normal name, that didn’t show up. In fact, it looked like my comment had disappeared.
376- I hope that isn’t referring to me?
Will the welcoming committee please report to the bottom of the vernal equinox thread? Thanks.
*gasps* TOO MUCH HOMEWORK! And it’s only the first day back from break! How cruel is THAT? Meh.
374- Go eat some tomato soup. It’s deliciously filling.
372( Oh.
386- Ooh. I’m sorry. Did you tell her that you felt like you were about to pass out? She’d probably make allowances for that.
You CAN’T be the lowiest piece of refuse on Earth, because Mr. Joe is.
Or she’ll
kill me</strike eat my organs.388- And who, pray, is Mr. Joe? Usurping my spot… Just kidding.
[Warning: THIS POST IS POINTLESS AND MAY BE ZAPPED WITHOUT MERCY]
I lost the comment box in the last post, so couldn’t quite get the HTML right. Could you wonderful GAPAs fix that strike-through at the botttom and make it “Or she’ll
kill meeat my organs.Please?
389- I’m trying to fight January off, right now it’s going better than it used to.
*sarcastically* Thanks for saying hi you guys…..
Sorry if that last message didnt make sense, it is late, and I am quite tired. Bye now!!! :):):):)
