Can I join…?
Yes, you may.
Just do the house quiz, read the past thread, and join right in!
((So, we’re in the underground tunnels, and we just escaped the giant rolling bolder, right?))
“If I have my Indiana Jones correct, this is where the poison darts come in…”
“I hate to destroy this lovely piece of architecture, but all my friends are at stake, so…” *swings sledgehammer at fireplace*
((Wait I thought were out of the tunnel))
“Poison darts, eh?” I said pointedly. There was a far-off crash ((that is, IBCF bashing the fireplace)), but I barely even noticed it.
((dangit, I don’t have the time to read the threads. I’ll just have to wait for a new story arc or something.))
Baylee looked around nervously to see if there were any flying darts. Nothing. They were all alright.
“Let’s get out of here before something else tries to kill us.”
I slowly make my way down the tunnel. As I went on, it was getting steeper (going up) and colder. Before long, I could see my breath. Soon, I begin to hear a faint humming noise.
“Anyone else hear that?”
“Uuf…this is one strong fireplace!” *puts sledgehammer down* *thinks* “Hmm…I wonder if MA keeps any explosives?”
Oh, gosh. Michael and Beavo have quite literally dissapeared. Along with my weird-haired teacher that I completely forgot.
“Oh, wait, I DO have my Indiana Jones wrong. The poison darts are BEFORE the giant boulder.”
“So what’s after the giant boulder?”
“The Nazis.”
Can I join MA? How?
Baylee could hear a faint pounding noise getting louder and louder, almost like feet. Wait. It WAS feet. There was a loud BOOM and what seemed like a million soldiers surrounded them, with one grinning in the front, almost like Hitler, but not exactly. “It’s the NAZIS!!!!!!”
The guy frowned and said, “No, we’re not the Nazis, we are the Sizan,”
“You mean the opposite?”
“No, we’re the same thing except we are ALIVE,”
“Oh,”
For some reason, at that moment, her Jedi instincts kicked in. She whipped out her light saber hiding attached to her belt. The Sizan got out there guns and prepared to fire, but she tried the mind controlling technique. “You are not the Sizan, you are peaceful and don’t know how to use guns. You’re supposed to be in England right now, for tea or else your mama will yell and spank you,” The Sizan looked at her quizzically, and still prepared to fire. “Well, worth a try,” she got her lightsaber ready to block the guns,”
((I want a lightsaber!)) “Uh-oh. Sizan don’t look nice. Are we supposed to run now? Or can anyone Apparate?” I whispered to the group.
((14- No lightsabers or force powers, please. This is Earth, not Star Wars. And besides, lightsabers have been proven scientifically inaccurate.))
((16- Well, you could make something like a lightsaber blade out of plasma, but you’d need a room’s worth of machinery to power it.))
“Somebody tell me why they built a school over ancient tunnels full of carnivorous bunnies, booby traps, and neo-nazis.”
((Sorry about all the bunnies, booby-traps, and Nazis. I guess we should have paid closer attention when we were digging out the basement.))
((Sorry I haven’t been here. My computer died… we got a new one yesterday.))
I unsheathed my lightsaber and paused. I screamed in the neo-Nazi’s face and sprinted away.
I racked my brain for a plan. It didn’t look good. Nothing in my pockets but my Swiss Army Knife. Legs sore from outrunning the boulder. Nothing to do but kneel on the sandy floor and beg for mercy…
I looked down at the sand again. It was very fine, almost like chalk dust. If this stuff got kicked up, you’d have a sneezing fit- that was it!
Discretely, I pointed to the floor. The nearest person nodded…
post 13? anyone?
((13 – Take the House Placement quiz, and introduce yourself into the story at the nearest logical point.))
I see KaiYves’s signal and nodded. I looked around at everyone else and point. They see what the plan is. All of a sudden, I start kicking the ground, releasing billowing clouds of dust. Everyone else does too. We hold are breaths and wait to see the Nazis’ reaction. ((Continue, please?))
Baylee kicked the dust and put away her lightsaber. She could hardly see. The Sizan slowly began choking and one by one, fell unconscious onto the floor. She was blindly trying to find somewhere she could breathe. She felt along the wall and found it had softened in one area. She pushed, it gave away a little. She pushed more, almost there. She tried to speak but the words came out in choked gasps what she meant to be “help me push this wall” came out as “Ep mkkkk us thi wha!” She covered her face with her jacket and found she could speak now “Guys, help me push this wall, we need to find a way out,” Everybody was trying to find where she was. “Feel along the wall,” she felt a presence beside her and reached out. Kai! “Kai, I’m right here. I can’t find the others,” she looked at Kai helplessly.
“I’m up here!” I yelled to Baylee, “I got catapulted by a booby trap up to this ledge. I can’t move, I think I sprained my ankle!”
can i join?:lol:please?
((26- sure! You just need to take the sorting quiz and introduce yourself in the story at the nearest logical point!))
“Hang on! Can you still breathe?” She looked in her pack frantically for aspirin or Tylenol, or a bandage. Nothing. Baylee took the and of her shirt and ripped it. She took a piece of random wood from the ground and threw both up to Bookworm. “You need to tie the steak to your ankle to make it straight!” She got out some leaves that looked like pain relievers. She took out her water, crushed the leaves and put them in the water, then threw her bottle to Bookworm. “It’s gonna hurt a lot even if this works,” she usually was never prepared. Never. The rest of her pack was empty except for a pie.
“Thanks Baylee! I’m tieing it up now. Is everyone else OK?”
22-What is the house placement quiz, and how and where do i take it?!?!?!
((NAPOI: See the Useful Muse Academy Links and Information Thread, which has a link to the Sorting Quiz. Take it to find out which House you’re in, and then join in the story at a reasonable point. Reading Part 2 from Post 337 would be helpful too. Also if you’re writing out of character, use (()).))
I ran straight through a door, which locked behind me. “Help? Help! HELP!” I called, furiously pounding on the door. Then I remembered the walkie-talkie I had slipped into Beatlesrockr’s bag just in case something like this happened. I radioed her. “HELP! HELP! HELP!!!!!!”
When the dust cleared, we noticed that Kokonilly was gone.
“Anybody have any idea where she is?” I asked
“HELP! HELP! HELP!” We heard, from Beatlesrockr’s bag.
[Kokonilly is a girl. –Pronoun Gnome]
I had some how become sperated from the others when the Sizans attacked……… “HELP!!!!!!!!!” I shouted, but then something awoke “Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…………”
“Oh crap…….. HELP!”
“HELP!” I heard, far off. Looking round, I realized Adeia was nowhere to be found. I tapped Baylee on the shoulder. “I think I hear Adeia. I’m going to find her.” She nodded. “Be careful.”
I set off.
“I can see Adeia from up here! Wait… Is that a large creature behind her? She stepped on its toe! Watch out!”
32- I had to go to a track meet in three minutes and was hurrying. I know that she’s a girl.
“My gosh, it’s a…”
“HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” I screeched at the top of my lungs.
I sighed and sat down near the door. I realized there was a beeper on the walkie-talkie that was equipped for something like this. I whipped out the instruction manual and flipped through until I found out how to beep Beatlesrockr. “Okay… press button 2… then 3… Whoops, hat’s the ‘off’ button…” I heard footsteps behind me just as I beeped Beatlesrockr, activating the homing device.
“Kokonilly! Kokonilly! Are you there?” Beatlesrockr shouted into the walkie-talkie.
“Oh, that’s the homing beacon. He’s in that direction.”
((He?))
I whirled around — and radioed Beat fearfully. “Come qui–AAH!”
((Gah! I missed so much!))
A huge monster was standing behind us. It bared its fangs…
((In a hurry again. Sorry.))
35: “You can see her, Bookworm?” I shouted. “In which direction? And what’s the creature look like?”
I was grabbed and taken away. I beeped Beat again, activating the homing device to a range of 2 miles.
“It’s big, scary, and has lots of teeth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” I shouted.
“Expletive! Run AWAY NOW!!!!!!!!” *stampedes around, discovers no exits, freaks out*
44-“It looks like a large troll-like creature. I would come down, but my ankle’s sprained. It’s in a splint. Watch Out!”
We ran in the direction of Adeia’s voice, prepared to face whatever strange monstrosity might be waiting for us…
“Holy Halakalea! It’s a T-Rex!”
I was whisked away to a dark cave, where I saw something that promptly made me go into a dead faint. The homing device was still activated.
((Hello? Beat? Anyone? I feel unloved… ))
((She hasn’t gone on this thread in a while and I don’t want to write for somebody else.))
50-((I can’t see you, and I don’t have a beacon.)) “A T-Rex! Run!”
“WHAT?! A T-REX?!” I shouted, “HELP! I CAN”T SEE IT!”
I turned around, away from the growling, and there was Kokonilly!
“HELP! Kokonilly is with me too! She’s out cold!”
“You don’t have to tell us twice!” Everybody took off, running down the tunnel until we reached a metal door. We pushed it open and ran inside. Behind us, it locked.
“Hey, that’s Kokonilly’s necklace on the floor!” Somebody said. Someone else tried the door.
“The good news is that we’re in here, and the Tyranosaurus is out there. The bad news is that we’re locked in. And there’s nowhere to go but forward.”
“Well, that’s where Kokonilly’s homing beacon is leading us.” I said
“A T-Rex? Aren’t they extinct???” I followed the group through the passage.
“Who could have guessed that our wonderful Muse Academy held such horrors? How deep in the castle are we? Where’d all this space come from? Are we underground?”
“I don’t know! Be quiet!” shouted someone up ahead.
“Sorry, but if I focus on these random questions, I won’t panic and waste everyone’s time!” I called back.
“STOP SHOUTING! YOU’LL ALERT THE T-REX TO OUR POSTION!!”
*thump*
*thump*
*thump*
“Oh, crud.”
“Hey Rexie!” I shouted down to the T-Rex to get it away from my friends, “Up here!”. The T-Rex swiveled and turned towards me, upon the ledge. I hoped it couldn’t reach me…
I grabbed Kokonilly’s walkie talkie and radioed “Kokonilly is out cold and I starting to feel sick with this smell of decay around me, I don’t know how mucch longer I’ll last… come ASAP!”
*goes to Oasis Mirage* *buys power tools* *heads back to fireplace* “Okay, you fireplace, let’s see what you’re made of!” *attempts to drill through bricks* *bricks are too strong, and power tools are fouled* “Aw, dangit. I wonder if we have wreaking balls?”
“We’re on our way.” Somebody radioed back.
“We’d better get on our way fast. I don’t know now long that door will hold the Tyranosaurus out. Or how long our flashlight batteries will last.” I said.
“Come fast – I am getting dizzy…” I radioed.
“Let’s go!” *runs down passage* “Eurgh. Do you smell that?”
I step into Muse Academy. I got sent a pamphlet about two weeks ago. I decided to come to the original Academy instead of the South Academy because Antarctica is just too cold for me.
Having read all of the information in the pamphlet, I already know that I am in Baker house. I’m taking Archery, World Domination, German, Pre-Calculus, Pie-Making, and Latin, along with many less interesting electives. I hope to start a Letterboxing club.
I make my way to the Baker commons. Finding my dorm room, I deposit my things on the bed and head off in search of the library. I have always felt a special connection with books and writing, even though my true calling is to play the cello. I find the library, not far from the Baker commons, and marvel at its hugeness and selection. Suddenly, I hear a loud bang coming from a secluded corner of the library. I immediately hurry over and find a boy ((? Sorry if you’re not, IBCF)) trying to break open a fireplace with a sledgehammer.
This was not my idea of normal, so I was content to sit and watch a while with an amused smile on my face.
The interesting boy ((?)) stormed from the library with not a glance at me. I select a book and begin to read. About ten minutes later, the boy comes back with numerous power tools and makes more attempts at breaking the fireplace. With each attempt, he becomes more and more frustrated.
“Aw, dangit. I wonder if we have wreaking balls?†He says.
“I really don’t think so,” I finally pipe up. “I don’t think schools are allowed to have those types of things… Maybe this fireplace wasn’t meant to be broken into? Maybe there’s some way of getting in without damaging it.”
“Yeah, I do smell that. Kind of smells like cleaning chemicals.”
“Cleaning chemicals? Think there’s a broom closet around here?”
64- “Oh, there’s a way to open it. But I’d need people from every house, and then it would just close up again. My friends are in there, you know! So I have to break open, whatever the cost. *goes out looking for wreaking ball*
“I don’t think so, but it is a chemical smell. Maybe somebody’s got a lab down here. That might explain the T. Rex.”
The radio was still in the on positon and I was still concious, so I heard everything… “OR maybe it’s the smell of dead stuff from the TRex’s last meal? GET US OUT OF HERE!!!!!!!!!!” I shouted.
67- I follow the boy out of the library. “Well, I’m in Baker, what house are you in? We just need to get some more people. That’s a lot easier than finding a wrecking ball around here.”
(( Kyra – you never know what you can find at MA, it’s not your ordinary school! ))
Although I was limping, I intended to search the entire platform I was on. I walked into the platform and… fell. “Again!” I thought, “I hate falling! I wonder if I’ll sprain my other ankle.” Screaming, I hit the ground. I heard something crack, and lay there screaming. Suddenly, it seemed darker… The T-Rex was standing above me! “HELP!”
((Yeah, just look at what we’re finding in the basements!))
We came to what looked like the entrance to another tunnel, with stalagtites on the ceiling, sticking TIGHT to the top.
“Hmm, looks like a natural limestone cave.” Piggy said
Cautiously, we walked inside, as the stalagtites looked like sharp teeth.
“Hey, you found us! Over here!” a voice shouted
I stirred a little bit. “…Adeia? What are you doing here? What’s that– T-Rex?!?!?!?!”
“Kokonilly you are awake! I was traped in here when you came in and fainted from the sight of the t – rex, ” then I radioed the others, “Koknilly is awake but still, I’m amazed the t- rex hasn’t found us.. come as fast as you can!” Then something hit me in the back of the neck.. and I slumped to the floor, radio in hand……………………..
We hurried through the cave, because the beacon was growing stronger.
The flashlight revealed a leg.
“Ahhhh! It’s a dead body!” Somebody screamed
“Nah, it’s just Adeia. And she’s unconcious. Something knocked her out, but… what?”
“Do you hear those footsteps?”
((sorry, I haven’t been on in awhile, I got a new puppy))
“Hello? Kokonilly? Adeia?” She had failed them. She followed Kai and everyone else. This is what happens, this is what always happens. Suddenly, she could feel something, something hard almost near her arm. She whizzed around, and there stood someone strangely familiar. It looked like, like, like, she screamed. Could this cave be magyk? How can all these things come alive. Things from their wildest dreams? “Run!” She looked around quickly and picked up Kokonilly. “Someone get Adeia!” She checked if he was there one more time. He was. She could see a dark cape and hear heavy breathing. Something red flashed. She ran. She had no idea what she was doing, but she was still running when everything went black.
70- “Oh, that will take too long. Besides, I’ve already found a wreaking ball.” *swings ball* CRASH!!!! *bricks go flying* “Oh, and I’m in Spector, if you wanted to know.”
I grabbed Adeia, and ran as fast as I could. Things didn’t look good.
“I never liked the dark, and I’m not entirely sure that I’ll ever see daylight again!”
I felt I was being picked up. “Huh? What’s happening? Adeia? …Adeia?”
She heard Kokonilly’s voice. “We have to run, Kai has Adeia,” she whispered.
“Was that really a T-Rex?” I ask faintly.
((77 – Really? Me too!))
(( Since no one is posting I shall double post just to make life more interesting… ))
I tossed and turned in the sleep I was enslaved in… I felt hot, then cold and hot again… I felt every last bit of power draining from me… then a new burning energy surging through my veins…
“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH….” I screamed at the top of my lungs, literlly flying to the top of the cave, not knowing what’s going on or if this is even real, and taking every one and everything into the air with me ((like Jean in X-men The Last Stand)) fire in my eyes…
“Deimos and Phobos!” I shouted, as I floated into the air, along with everyone else.
“AHHHHHHHH…”
I turned in the direction of the screaming and saw the fire Adeia’s eyes.
“Please don’t go all Dark Phoenix and threaten the Universe, please don’t go all Dark Phoenix and threaten the Univese, please…”
((Come on, this is really exciting! Somebody post!))
Suddenly, everything goes black. It’s deathly silent. All light is gone, everyone blind as a cavefish. The sound of water dripping is no more. No one is brave enough to move. Maybe they’re unconcious. Maybe they’re not even here any more.
No sound.
No light.
No warmth.
Nothing.
Baylee noticed Adeia. I whispered to Kokonilly, “Don’t fail me now, don’t fail me now!” She then yelled out, “PHOBOS IGNEUS!” She and Kokonilly shot up into the air. They were one huge fireball. She finally got to see Adeia up close. Adeia looked scary. Nobody could mess with her, not even…… All of a sudden a black cape whizzed by and her arm was stinging. She started zooming at him. While still fighting she could hear him say, “Today will be long remembered, I have seen the death of no one, yet I will soon see the end of the rebellion,” I could hear a gasp. It came from Kai. “Kai what is it?” she spluttered out “It’s DARTH VADER!!!!!!!!”
“Night at the Museum, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, X-Men, and now Star Wars! What is this, Hollywood?” I said, crawling down a large stalagtite.
“If there’s two things I know, it’s Marvel Comics and Star Wars. If Adeia’s really been empowered by the Phoenix Force, as Jean Grey Summers was, she’s very, very powerful, and VERY dangerous. But of course, so is Vader!” I explained, standing on the ground.
I stare at the smashed fireplace, wondering how the boy fit a wrecking ball in a library. Shoving aside bricks, I peer inside the fireplace and discover a hallway with a spiraling staircase at the end.
“Come on, what’s-your-name” I say. We’ve got to go in there and save your friends! Right?”
With a roar, the T-Rex leaned down and bit off my right arm. “HELP!!!!!!!!” I screamed with all my voice, “HELP!!!!!!!!!!” Hoping someone would appear, I fell unconscious… ((I hope someone can come to my aid, as I have 2 sprained ankles, one splinted, and no right arm. I’m losing blood by the second. I don’t want to get killed!))
Baylee could hear -who was it? Bookworm?- back from where we cam from. “BOOKWORM NEEDS HELP! ANYBODY?” She looked around. There stood Vader. Blocking the way to Bookworm. Kokonilly was wide awake. “Kokonilly, do you think you have enough energy to get to Bookworm?” Kokonilly did look tired. She thought back to Magyk class. Her teacher looking all serious saying, “Only used in time of great need, you can transfer energy into another, but if you give to much, it could be fatal,” Why couldn’t she remembered the words? It must of not seemed so important then. She finally remembered. “Giefan Energia!” She put her hand on Kokonilly. Then Baylee fell.
“Darth Vader???” I yelped. “He DIED!!!” I then noticed Bookworm.
“Holy CRAP!!! What happened to YOU???” I rushed to him and fished the first-aid kit from my bag.
((Post 92 hadn’t appeared when I posted. Sorry for the double post.))
I bound Bookworm’s arm, then I went to Baylee. She had collapsed transferring energy to me. I fished through my pockets and found what I was looking for. “Aha,” I breathed. “Coffee.” Wary of what might happen if I gave an coffee to a Muser, I poured some lcoffee into her mouth. Then I backed away. “Please let this work, please let this work…”
Baylee sat straight up. Caffeine was flowing through her veins. She felt like a race car, and she shot up the wall. She calmed down. “Thanks,” she gasped to Kokonilly. She looked around and saw Bookworm, his arm seemed to be cut off, or ripped off, and he looked like he was in agony. “How are we going to get out of here before we get killed? Soon we might be facing like, Godzilla or Voldemort,”
“ACK!!! Don’t jinx us!!” I said, while applying cream onto Bookworm’s bleeding stump.
(( Don’t forget about me… threating your saftey… unintentionally…))
I stood up and (finally) noticed Adeia. “Um… Baylee… what happened to Adeia?”
“Thank you! I thought I was a goner… It still hurts a lot, and I don’t think I can move. A lot better than dying, I think!”
“You’re welcome, Bookworm, but… er… what happened to Adeia?”
((I’m still threatining your saftey… still unintentionally… I’m getting bored… seeing as I can’t do anything… being trapped in an uncontrolable state… 100th post… cool!))
(( or not… sorry for the double post…))
“Wait, is THAT Adeia over there? She’s terrifying.” I contemplated what to do. Calm down Adeia? …Or fight Darth Vader. I figured Adeia could help us with Vader, so I approached her from behind. Praying she wouldn’t turn around, I hit her in the back of her head — hard. “Sorry, Adeia,” I whispered. She diminished to her former self, tired and pale, but still unconscious. I gave her coffee and stood back.
((I DESPISE COFFEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where did you get it anyway?))
I stirred in my enslaved sleep straining against the power holding me in… I finally awoke, but I felt different… I heard everyone’s voices in my head, and objects pulling on my finger tips… I appearrently retianed some of the powers I had been empowered with… whether or not it is permanent, only time will tell…
“Let me guess, you’re no longer the woman we knew, now you are fire, a force of life…” I began.
“Huh, what? What happened?” Adeia asked
“Your eyes glowed and you were levitating stuff and throwing fireballs. Which would be perfectly normal, except this isn’t a comic book.”
((sorry for the double post…))
“Wh-wh-at happened?” I asked, confused, with everyone’s voices in my head differing with what they where really telling me.
“Tell me the truth!” I yelled, everyone suddenly confused and thinking ‘How does she know?’ ….
why the heck do you despise coffee? ((okay, okay, stupid question.))
(( The taste, though I’m not exactly sure ))
(( Sorry didn’t see 105))
“You’re apparently the new host of the cosmic Phoenix Force, as seen in the classic 1980’s X-Men comics, which is what I was quoting before. This means that you possess telepathy, telekinesis and pyrokinesis on an almost limitless scale.” I said
“How the heck do you know this stuff, Kai?” somebody asked
“I’ve always loved reading comics, but I never knew it would actually come in handy!”
“Any way for me not to go Dark Phoenix again, then Kai? I’ll try not to read your mind so I don’t intrude on personal thoughts.”
“You have to keep your personality in control. And don’t let anybody mess with your mind. That’s what went wrong in the comics. Not counting the retcon, that is. But seeing as there’s no mind control in the real world, I’m sure you’ll be fine if you can manage your anger.”
My head was spinning. Was the real world colliding with the Marvel Universe? Was fiction becoming real? Was this a real Crisis of Worlds, like DC was so fond of?
“Yes, I belive it is..” I answered silently to Kai’s unasked question.
(( sorry for the double post… but will someone continue?!))
((I hate the smell of coffee. How did I get it? My backpack. It has thermoses containing over twenty different liquids/drinks.))
“Oh great, X-Men, Indiana Jones, Night At The Museum, and Jurassic Park! What next?” I repeated Kai’s list in a slightly different order.
I unsheathed my lightsaber and went to check out Darth Vader. I didn’t get very far until I let my guard down and immediately found myself in a Force choke.
I beeped Beatlesrockr, right before his grip tightened and I saw blackness.
((This could make for a great story arc.))
I heard Koknilly cryout… ‘Time to try out my new powers’ I thought and dove into Darth Vaders mind… not plesant … and commanded him to let Kokonilly go… and he did! “Leave us” I tried and amazingly he did! People never listened to me before!
I thought… This could be it… Adeia, hear me… Help… Your new powers…
I sensed nothing.
No voices.
No sound.
Nothing.
Then
Light.
I cry out in relief.
Then
Whoops… I fainted.
‘Sorry Kokonilly, forgot he was floating’ I thought to Kokonilly as I lifted her up.
“Lots of fainting going on today, eh? But, anyway, this cave goes on in that direction. Maybe there’s a reason for the wierdness… or a way back to the surface.”
I woke up. “Aw, no, I hate being picked up!” I jumped off. Then I trotted over through the tunnel.
((IBCF, where are you?))
The boy hesitantly steps into the hallway, and I follow him.
“At least we can get out when we want to, right?” I ask.
“Yeah.”
Suddenly, the boy steps on a tile with a clockwise-pointing arrow on it. It depresses slowly, like in the old Indiana Jones movies. I begin to freak out. The room starts to turn and the staircase and library vanish behind the concrete walls. After 90 degrees of spinning clockwise, the room stops revolving. I look behind me and see only darkness. Not a good way to go when you were only expecting a trip to the library and didn’t bring your flashlight. I look back towards the more welcoming room, the lighted one. The boy has already headed in. I follow him.
((Some notes: The dark door is the tunnel everyone else is in. Just so you know. The lighted room might hold treasure…? Or the reason all the books and movies are coming alive in the basement?))
((Wha?
…Oh noes. I’ve missed too much. Well, I don’t have enough time to commit myself to rejoining this thread and actually being active, so I’ll have to stop posting. If there’s anything brattish that you really feel needs to be said, go ahead and post Nora saying it. ))
I was tired. I had gotten separated from the rest earlier. I saw light. “Who’s there? Are you Voldemort?”
“What the heck? Voldemort? Where have you been?”
“IBCF? Kyra?”
I took a flashlight, and tip-toed down the dark hall. “Hello? Hellooo? HELLO! HEY, ANYONE THERE!?!?” There was suddenly a loud crash, and an easter island stone head smashed through the spiral staircase, sending dust, splinters, and chipped rock all over the place. On top of it was a snarling, bloody, cannibal HPB. “Yike!” I sprinted back into the library and jumped inside the wrecking ball.
((Ha, I’m a neophyte, Kokonilly. I’ve never met any of you before. I don’t even know IBCF’s name!))
“What the heck? Voldemort? Where have you been?”
A voice echoes from the dark doorway.
“IBCF?”
A girl walks tiredly into the hallway.
“Don’t move!” I yell. “There’s a panel in the floor–I don’t know why none of you stepped on it before–and it rotates the room! Be carefull where you walk. It has a circle arrow on it.”
The girl nods and walks hesitantly across the hallway over to where IBCF and I are in the lighted room.
“This must be the treasure room…” she says.
((122, 125- Dang, conflicting plots. Let’s say that when we reached the lighted room, the easter island stone head fell through the ceiling, and I ran back, stepped on the tile, and sped back into the library.))
((Ok, so now Kokonilly and I are trapped in the lighted room? Dang…))
An easter island statue falls through the celing. CRASH!!! The girl and I jump back further into the room just in time, but IBCF runs out of the room. I hear the groaning of the hallway as it turns. We’re trapped.
“Ummmm… while we’re stuck in here, we might as well check out this room, right?” I say. “What’s your name, anyway?”
128- I knew Kokonilly and M’sLS were trapped in the lighted room, but I was too afraid of the bloody, pink thing to care at the moment. I jumped into the wrecking ball and swung. BAM!!! The ball missed, but it created a huge hole in the wall. WHAM!!! The ball grazed the cannibal bunny, knocking it out cold. I climbed back out and ran into the hallway.
“Hi, I’m Kokonilly.”
“I’m Kyra.”
A huge crash sounds out.
“What was that crash?” I say.
“It must be IBCF. He’s a little… eccentric.”
I was now fully awake. Or was I? I saw Darth Vader?!? And Adeia, acting strange?!? Magic?!? “?!?”?!? And then, someone clear showed up. She was dressed in black with a large black pointed hat. “Don’t stare!” she snapped, “Without a hat, who would know?” “Granny Weatherwax?” I mumbled, “Mistress to you!” she said sharply.
I appeared next to Kokonilly and Kyra… I love my new powers… “Any way I can help you?” Kyra looked suprised, who wouldn’t? Kokonilly not so much… All of a sudden “CRASH!!!!!!!” That defiently wasn’t IBCF! I swooped down with Kokonilly and Kyra under me… forming a shield of fire…
“Help! I’m trapped! Again!” We heard Kokonilly’s voice over the walkie-talkie.
“Don’t worry Kokonilly, you’re not trapped, someting just fell on top of us and I am figuring out how to lift it since it is so big… and I’m not used to doing this.”
“Well, Kyra, we’re all a little quirky one way or another here at MA,” I said casually as she gaped at Adeia. I noticed her staring and said casually, “Oh, don’t mind her. She just transforms into a whole ‘nother being sometimes. It’s really quite terrifying.”
She stared at both of us now.
((wow… ummm… I was thinking that you could only have powers in the basement, because of the mysterious thing that’s making books and movies come alive. That’s because a lot of people have been objecting to the supernatural, ever since the Almost-Mages appeared.))
((Where am I? I got horribly confuzzled. I’ll follow someone for awhile….*picks random person* Okay, I’m with Beatlesrockr.))
((136-Okay, that’s what I was thinking, too.))
I stepped on the tile, and the room turned. The library turned into a dark corridor. “Wait–this isn’t where I was before, was it?” Suddenly, I felt a metal object being pressed against my head.
“Hands up! This is the Sizan!”
I turned. “A Sizan? You look just like a Nazi.”
“We’re just the same, except we are alive.”
“Ah. I see.”
“Now come with me, boy! You are an enemy of Germany, and therefore impure!”
“Hey, hold on a minute! I don’t have anything against Germany! I’m Japanese! We’re allies, remember?”
“Liar! You look Chinese to me!”
“Oh, yeah? Have you ever been to China or Japan?”
“Well, no.”
“How can you tell a Chinese from a Japanese if you’ve never even been to either country?”
“Well, I guess…”
“Hey, look there! Behind you! I can’t believe it! It’s HITLER! HAIL HITLER!” *salutes*
“Hail Hitl–wait, where is he? I don’t see–” *is hit by club*
*runs away*
((139- Brilliant way to escape, IBEF!
So, we’re waiting for Adeia to bring Koko and Kyra out?))
*pushes tile* *room turns to reveal boulder rolling straight at me* *pushes tile again* *army of angry Sizan is reveal* *ducks to avoid bullet* *pushes tile again* *T-rex charges* *pushes tile* *lighted room is revealed* *runs in* *T-rex and boulder crash through wall and collide*
“Ok, here it goes…”
*pushes down tile to turn room to T-Rex*
* Throws gaint thing ontop of us at him*
*Turns room to light room*
*un-shields*
*(phisically) helps Kokonilly and Krya up*
*(phisically) goes into room with everyone else*
*remebers the maps that started it all*
((** means mentaly unless specified))
*sizan blast through wall with a grenade* *rush into room only to find furious T-Rex struggling under easter island statue and boulder* *T-Rex’s tail lashes and throws several sizan across the room* *loud CRASH!!!* *now-conscious cannibal bunny blasts into room with wreaking ball* *sizan run away* *T-Rex gets out of rubble* *ball swings* *smashes T-Rex in the head* *cable holding ball is broken* *ball goes flying straight up, going through ceiling and causing easter island statues upstairs to fall, crushing machine and bunny* *ball comes back through ceiling and crushes T-Rex* *watches whole spectacle in awe*
((143-You can only see stuff like that at Muse Academy, people!))
“Nice work, Adeia!”
We all hurried into the glowing room. The walls seemed to be plastic or glass with some sort of strange yellow fluid flowing behind them. A steel circle with wires connecting it to some machines stood upright in the middle of the room.
“This stuff looks almost… alien.” Kokonilly said
“You know, normally I’d argue with that, but right now, I’m willing to believe anything.” I said.
” Alien. Well. The Sizan are gone, the T-Rex is crushed, and the bunny is disposed of, so I think I’ll just watch from a safe distance. Just in case, you know.”
“Where are you taking me, Mistress?”
“Never you mind, Bookworm.”
Mist swirled around us as we traveled downward. I knew better than attempt to interrogate Mistress Weatherwax, so I relaxed and stayed calm…
“Good idea IBEF, but where’s Bookworm?”
when shrugs came from everyone else I asked “Anyone up for finding him with me?”
“I guess I’ll come with you, Adeia. It seems pretty safe quiet in there now.”
((Oops. Safe and quiet))
“Sounds good. The rest of us can stay here and investigate this room. We’ll stay in contact with the walkie-talkies.” I said
A piece of paper was sitting on top of a machine. I picked it up, and read the messy handwriting.
“All worlds will become one, and one will rule them all.”
I begin to see areas of the yellow liquid darken. Some spots begin to form shapes. Human shapes. “Uh, guys, I don’t think this is a good room to be hanging around in.”
151- “Good point.” *leaves*
“I agree!” I shouted, and hurried out, taking the paper and a floppy disk near it with me.
I sprinted out, checking to see if I had everything with me. “Wait, where’s my rubber band?”
“No time!” said Kai, dragging me out of there.
Before I walk quickly out the door, I look at a small screen on the machine opposite the exit. I see strange but strangely familiar characters on it. They seem to be constantly changing, but always remain the same. I snap a quick picture of it with my cell phone and hurry out of the room.
((Can we use the tile to go back to the surface?))
“Lord of the Rings, too??? How many more book references can fit in the basement?” I say.
“Back on subject, where did everyone last see this bookworm person?”
“Bookworm? BOOKWORM…!” I screamed, realizing that “We left him after we fixed his arm.”
Suddenly, we heard a shriek from the room we just fled. I paled. “Uh-oh…”
“Is someone calling my name?” I screamed up. “Don’t shout, Bookworm.” responded Granny Weatherwax. “But.. where are we going? My friends are up there!” I pointed upwards. “We’re going to Lancre. Now, no more questions!” “But, but, how do we get to Lancre from MA’s bas…” My voice trailed off. As I fell down, I hoped my friends were around here somewhere… All I had was faith… And Granny Weatherwax. I suspected the latter was worth more than the former! ((I’m falling to Lancre with Granny Weatherwax, apparently! See posts 131 & 146 for more info.)
I followed the homing device of Bookworm’s walkie-talkie. “Wait, Kokonilly!” I turned. “There might be dangers there!”
“Adeia? Can you come with me?”
I enter this thread.
“What in the name of Pwt is going on here?”
I stepped on the tile, which depressed. The room turned ninety degrees, and we found ourselves back in the library. We nearly fell over each other running out.
Sunlight was coming in through the windows. It was the most glorious thing I had ever seen. I ran over and stood in the light, just soaking it in.
Somebody pulled out a piece of paper and stuck on the entrance to the underground passage. It read
“Do not enter. Believe me, dude, you don’t want to.”
((KaiYves, you left me behind! ))
((Poor Bookworm))
“Wait, someone’s got to save Bookworm!”
This was turning out to be an eventful first day.
((Don’t you remember, the group split. The group that’s looking for you is still underground. My group, the one that was investigating the glowing room, is on the surface right now.))
“Bookworm? … Bookworm? BOOKWORM!” I called, following the beeping. I entered a place with a mysterious air, then… ((continue))
‘Kokonilly, Kyra and I are already looking for Bookworm but I have already picked you up, my power of going anywhere in time is confusing, I know. Bookworm is with Granny Weatherwax, but I don’t remeber enough of those books to know if she can be trusted…’
I picked up the walkie talkie and talked to the other group:
“When you find Bookworm, go back to the tile with the arrow on it. That’s your ticket out.” I said
“Now, let’s look at this floppy disk and those symbols Piggy photographed.”
“Okay, thanks Kai. Over and out,” I radioed back.
“Who IS Granny Weatherwax anyway?”
((Oh, right… sorry.))
“I don’t know. It must be in some book Bookworm’s read that the rest of us haven’t.”
I follow Kokonilly because I’m a total chicken.
“She’s from a series by Terry Pratchett, they are on my list of books to read…”
“Hmmmm. I’ve only read The Bromeliads. I didn’t care much for his other books. I guess I should have read them. Maybe someone from the other group knows. Use the walkie-talkie before we get too far underground for it to work!”
“Hmm…. she’s a witch from the Discworld series… can tame unicorns… was supposed to be evil but decided to be good… doesn’t really use magic if she can help it… skilled in mind control… not much else, really.”
KaiYves’ voice comes out of the walkie-talkie.
“So basically, she’s a formidible opponent, if she is one at all. This is just making me more confused than I already am!” I mutter.
Adeia is walking rather quickly through the tunnel. “Come on! Bookworm’s getting farther away from us every second!”
As I am unusally tall for a girl my age, I can keep up with her fairly easily.
Falling…Falling…Falling…I hear the others talking hurriedly upwards, and perhaps some of them are falling down too. And then, I hit the ground. Luckily my fall was cushioned. Looking around, I saw a place I’d read about many times. I was in the country of Lancre…
I followed Bookworm, then — “Aah!” I screamed. “Help, I’m falling!” I called the others. I heard some yelps and realized they were falling, too. I shrugged and went into a spread-eagle position to slow my fall.
“Guys, I can feel Bookworm’s presence now, I shall to get contact with him!”
‘Bookworm, this is Adeia, give me your statis. Are you ok? Do you know what Mistress Weatherwax has planned?’
((Oh, I guess we’re closer to Bookworm than I thought.))
Kokonilly, Adeia, and I were falling through a mysterious hole, following Bookworm. Kokonilly was spread-eagled, which wasn’t a bad idea, but if she fell on the ground like that, she could risk severe internal injuries. I read somewhere which way was the best to fall, but I forgot. As I neared the ground, all I could think about was which position was the best for slowing the fall and minimizing injury. I was pondering this dilemma so hard that I forgot the part about hitting the ground and didn’t.
“Hmmm, this seems strangely familiar,” I thought.
((Oh wow, I just switched into past tense. Sorry. It won’t happen again.))
“I don’t know what she’s planned. I’m okay though, and it’s amazing to be somewhere I’ve read so much about! How are you?”
“Is it just me, or is this fall strangely long? It seems like we’ve been falling for a long time. Wait a minute… I think I see some tunnels splitting out from this vertical one. Maybe we could grab one of them to stop our fall!”
‘Fine. Kyra and Kokonilly are with me. Kyra is fine and Kokonilly… I’m not quite sure… She just landed on her face but is concious and showing no distress or bleeding, so I guess she’s fine… Does Mistress Weatherwax know of my contact with you? And is there any way we should help you, or should we stay on standby?’
((And what is the first book in the series?))
I inserted the floppy disk into the computer. A window popped up, showing three folders, marked with a character from a language I didn’t recognize. I began systematically searching them.
“Found anything?” Somebody asked
“Well, there’s information about different worlds in fiction, and scientific papers by cosmologists about wormholes, and then these really odd diagrams that look like the machines we saw down there. But a lot of the information requires some sort of password.”
“Ow.” I fell flat on my face. “My nose hurts.” I saw the other people laughing and cracked up. Kyra appeared to not have noticed she landed. Adeia looked deep in thought. I decided not to talk to her once I regained my composure.
i looked over KaiYves’s shoulder, “Does it look like there’s anything in there?” i asked.
182-“No, she doesn’t. I don’t know if she’d approve. I think I’m at Tir Nani Ogg, Nanny Ogg’s House…” ((The Color of Magic, but the first with Mistress Weatherwax is Equal Rites!))
“Well, I can’t access much without the password, but if I had to guess, I’d say that metal oval thing in the glowing room was a portal between universes- which would explain the cosmological papers. All the things from those movies aren’t real in our world, but maybe this creep opened a portal to THEIR worlds.”
I fly around, aware that awareness of this fact would make me fall flat on my face. I try to think about my cats that I left at home instead.
I notice that Adiea and Kokonilly have hid behind a bush. I decide I’m safer in the sky.
‘Which is where?!’ ((I’m reading Hat Full of Sky right now (the Nac Mac Feggle have gotten in Tiffany’s mind right now) but I’ve read a little bit of wintersmith to sum it up, I’m confused…))
“It’s Nanny Ogg’s house, in the Realm of Lancre. I’m walking in now! Ouch! Greebo the cat has a sharp bite. I see why people where chain mail around him!”
“Piggy, can I see that picture you took with your cell phone? It might be a clue to the password.”
I grab a tunnel as I fall by. Slowly climbing through, I suddenly fall into my bed in my dormitory. I regain my composure and make my way back to the library to help examine the disk. “I’ve got an idea about the password,” I say, leaning over to type in “42.” “It’s working!”
“KaiYves! what’s that?” I pointed to a tiny icon at the side of the password space, the little clickable was
((I’ll just let other people move the story along because I haven’t read the books and have no idea what the setting or characters are supposed to be like. Just look up if you need me!))
“Oh, right, the hint button! Hmm…’The Ultimate Answer’. You’re right, it must be 42.”
An animation popped up when I clicked the first unlocked link. There were lots of spheres near each other, almost touching. A hole opened in the side of one, connecting it to another. Then the second bubble began to be sucked into the first, until it was inside of it. The same thing happened with the other bubbles.
The text from the note then appeared on the screen.
“They’re trying to MERGE all universes into one!”
((I haven’t been on here for a little while, I’m too lazy to read all the posts))
Baylee was trembling, in her hand was the second walkie talkie. What felt like an hour ago, Kokonilly had beeped her and Darth Vader had almost killed her, if it were not for the dark pit she fell into. But how could she get out? She yelled until her throat was sore.
*has been left behind* “Okay, I’ve done my part here; I’m tired of saving everyone from certain death and destruction. Off to lunch.” *leaves*
“Hush, Baylee! You fell down here too? Come on, I’m right here.”
((Looks like we’re getting to the bottom of the mystery. Now who should be behind this evil plot?))
“Kokonilly?” This pit must be bigger than she had thought! She felt her way along the wall. When she got to what seemed the middle of the wall she could hear a beeping noise. She knocked on that space. A hollow noise. “Where are you Kokonilly? I think I found something.”
((Why is everyone down here…? Baylee, Beatlesrockr, the “pit” isn’t really a pit at all, but the Realm of Lancre. Or maybe the pit could be trans-universial. Maybe it’s just a pit to you guys, but to Kokonilly, Adeia, and I, it’s the Realm of Lancre and we’re following Bookworm.))
I’m getting a little worried about Bookworm, but I don’t want to land to talk to Adeia because flying is so much fun! I dropped a little in altitude. Oops, thinking about flying again… Another drop Ummm, I’ve got a lovely bunch of coconuts, deedileedee, all here a-standing in a row…
“I’m right behind you, Baylee.” I poked something.
“Hey! That was my head!”
“Hello, and welcome to Nanny Ogg’s Home, otherwise none as Tir Nani Ogg. I am her daughter-in-law. She will be here shortly.” So said an anonymous person, as she bustled through the busy house of Nanny Ogg. “Hmph!” Muttered Mistress Weatherwax, “Nanny has her ways… All three of us will be here shortly…”
I finally decided to make my self known to Mistress Weatherwax. Stepping foward with a little Ahem, A present my self to Mistress Weatherwax… “Greetings, Mistress Weatherwax…” ((Bookworm please continue with Mistress Weatherwax’s reply, you know her best.))
“Aah, Adeia. I knew you were around, I just wondered when you would show up. Nanny will be here soon, as well.” She turned to me, “If you have any other friends around, Bookworm, please ask them to show up!”
I heard Adeia and Granny Weatherwax. I directed my thoughts toward Adeia and said I don’t trust her. Tell Bookworm not to! Be careful.
((As I asked before- who should be behind the evil plot?))
((207 – Um… not sure. Voldemort? Darth Vader?))
(( 207 – We should have a vote to see who we think is the most evil character in the books we have read… A suggestion is St. Dane from the Pendragon series))
‘ Don’t worry Kokonilly, I know Mistress Weatherwax she can be trusted. Get Kyra and come back here…’
((Suggestions: Voldemort, Darth Vader, Hitler, etc.))
Okay. “Kyra! Baylee! We’re going to visit someone!”
((Other possiblities: Sauron, Morgoth/Melkor, munchkins/The Lollipop Guild))
((You’re right, we should vote. Maybe it’s Tardiff from POSOC’s story.))
((211 – I thought the munchkins are good?))
((I vote for St. Dane!))
(( Same here. My vote is for St. Dane. Now Bookworm, Nanny should be here… Continue please… ))
((St. Dane? Who?))
“KYRA! BAYLEE!” I called. “WHERE ARE YOU?”
((216 – Only the most evil person in the world of literature from the Pendragon Series, which you must read!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!))
((217 – Fine. I will.))
I wandered over to where I heard them last. “Where are you guys?”
I heard a muffled shout. “Let me go, let me–“
‘Did you hear that?! I don’t recognizie it!!!!!!!! This never happened in the comis strip… Did it Kai?’
“Yes, I’m here now!” said Nanny Ogg as she stepped out into the parlor, “Adeia’s here, and so is Bookworm and…” She paused for a second. “Esme is here.” she said, after her pause, “I believe that’s everyone for now. Shall we begin, Esme?” ((Esme Weatherwax, (Mistress), and Gytha Ogg, (Nanny)))
I heard Adeia’s voice in my head.
“Did you hear that?! I don’t recognizie it!!!!!!!! This never happened in the comic strip… Did it Kai?”
“What?” I thought back
Just then, somebody behind us said
“If you kids want to live, hand over the floppy disk and don’t move.”
((Henchman of Bad Guy))
((I think a Vogon, The Wicked Witch of the West, Bonnie and Clyde, Count Dracula, Sauron, they are all pretty perfect for the part *thinks* yeah, I think those are the best villains))
All of a sudden Kokonilly disappeared ((with Misstress Weatherwax.))”Where are you guys now?” No response. She knocked on the hollow spot again. She felt around it and didn’t find a button or anything. The only nick in the wall was a little hole. She reached her hand through it and felt some sort of key pad. “13 by 2. 26. Must be the alphabet. I wonder what kinda code it is.” She thought for a long time. “Howabout ‘BOOKS’?” The pad went in order from A-Z down each row because once she typed it in something said, “BOOKS, incorrect.” She kept on trying. “BOOK? DARTHVADER? VOLDEMORT? EVIL? VILLAINS?” She randomly typed in “BEV”. She heard a long creaking sound. “Well that must’ve have done the trick,” she walked into a large room, glowing, it seemed, and saw Kai. Baylee waved to Kai excitedly. But then she saw the Henchman of the Bad Guy from X-Men ((which one? I’ll hust make it Sabertooth if you don’t mind)). He was big, furry and ferocious. Baylee froze in place.
“Help.” My voice quavered as I radioed Bookworm. “Kyra and Baylee have vanished.”
I heard some footsteps behind me. I whirled around, saw a hand… then nothing.
Sabretooth had forced us back into the glowing room, and wanted the floppy disk back. The truth was, we didn’t have it, it was still in the library computer.
((Baylee, you haven’t read the Pendragon series have you? St. Dane is the most evil character I’ve ever read about, and I read a lot!))
‘Kokonilly – Baylee is with KaiYves some how and Kyra is missing, I don’t see a trace of her anywhere! I need you though to go back to the pit, you should find a keypad, password is BEV, and it will lead to the room we cane out of. They need physical help there. Kai – I will help as best as I can, mainly by knocking out Sabertooth but that is the best I can do right now, as I am meeting with Nanny Ogg right now. I’m scared Kai, why can’t I sense anyone?! Could these be signs of me going Dark Phoenix again? What’s wrong with me?!’
“Hush down, Adeia!” said Mistress Weatherwax, “You aren’t going Dark Phoenix again. That’s merely the effect of the antidote, a magical vaccine, if you will. We placed it on you. It’s effects will be gone by the time we start…”
“What? Will it take my powers?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!? If it does So help me from not going Dark Phoenix!”
OY! Where’s Perdita/Agnes? The coven can’t function properly without her!
((228 – Confused!!!))
((228-She’s coming…))
I woke up. “Wha… Where…?”
I was alone. Evidently, the person who hit me had vanished.
I was in a room with a keypad. I remembered Adeia telling me while I was out about the password… Though unlikely, I thought it was BEV… I tried it. Creak.
((225-I think Rendarren is the most evil. And, in fact, I have read the Pendragon books :), I have also read a lot too. I thought Bird was dead when she was captured, and the only reason she lived was because of a locket that keeps you alive.))
((I think the only real criteria are that the villian be evil and a technology user, hence the wormhole machine. A magic user wouldn’t need that.))
((*thinks harder* How about it is all the villains are working together? Since we can’t agree on a person….))
((Sure!))
((That’s a great idea, since not everyone knows who all of the villains are. But we still need to make a list of E.V.I.L. (Every Villain Is Lemons)))
((Okay, in the story so far we have:
Sabretooth
Sizans
All sugestions will be added))
((More people for the list:
St.Dane
Rendarren
Sauron
Vogons
The Wicked Witch of the West))
((List list list!
Voldymorty
Darth Vader
Superior Saturday
Sphinxes (Dark Reflections)
Count Olaf))
((Ok, sorry I wasn’t here. I’ll come in unceremoniously.))
I hear Adeia telling me to come in the house, so I sadly give up flying for a while and land on the ground, getting my knees dirty. I fling open the house’s door, which is unlocked.
“Hi! Who’s in here?!” I yell. I see Adeia in a chair, trying to get at some old ladies sitting across a table from her. I don’t think she can see them.
“Hey, what’s happening?”
((Kyra, we already killed Darth Vader))
Baylee could hear something creak. Sabretooth was slowly advancing on us. “You don’t have the floppy disk?” I whispered to Kai.
“It’s still in the computer.” I whispered back “Got anything flat we could give him to stall?”
‘ Kai – as Sabertooth is resisting being knocked out, I have put 2 copies of the floppy disk in your pocket. One is the original and the other is the same, except for a nasty little virus I added… give him this one… ‘ ‘GET OUT OF MY HEAD ESME WEATHERWAX!!!!!!!’ I came to a sudden realization……… “ST. DANE!!!!!!!!!!!”
“Yes, indeed, you have figured me out at last… and but before you did I have completed my plan, with help from you of course” he added proudly… as he underwent the transformation I had read about so many times, with his ice blue eyes flashing…
My anger grew to a height I could not control… “Stop Adeia! It’s just what he wants!!!†someone yelled, but I paid no attention, all I wanted to do was destroy that evil twisted creature… and then there was darkness and the power pulsing through my veins… but not the type of power there was in the beginning… Then there was light, and a change no one expected….
I felt Adeia break the psychic connection, almost violently.
“Uh… here, take the disk…” I said, giving it to Sabretooth. He took it, as Beatlesrockr reached behind her and turned a dial on the machine. The portal started to glow.
“Now we can go where the others are!” She whispered “Run for the portal on the count of three!”
I was in a trance like state, I saw visions of … ((continue someone, I have no ideas!))
I watch in horror as Mistress Weatherwax grows and becomes… St. Dane… “You can’t stop him by killing him, Adeia! Remember Press’ words!” And yet, I watched powerlessly as Adeia batted down St. Dane and stabbed him. “You can’t kill h-” I paused and looked down at my chest. Blood was squirting from it. I fell to the ground, and looked above to see what had stabbed me. I saw Nanny Ogg, holding a bloody knife. “Lawks.” She said calmly, “I’m shedding this disguise.” Nanny began to grow, but not as dramatically as St. Dane had. She simply grew taller and younger, and her hair grew longer. She radiated power. “S-Saturday?” I murmured as I lost consciousness. “Why yes.” I heard her reply, “Yes.” As the blackness came over me, all I thought was “Kyra… Help…”
Seeing that we had opened the portal, Sabretooth charged us. Piggy stuck out his leg and tripped him. I pulled out my Swiss Army Knife and cut a hole in the wall, letting the yellow liquid drain out. Then we all took off for the wormhole.
“Be a good little mutant boy and mop up the floor, would you?” I shouted back.
((245 – what did press say and when? I forget ))
((247-Press said that killing St. Dane wouldn’t do anything in Book II!))
((248 – I don’t remeber that, where in book 2?))
Though Bookworm thought I was once more Dark Phoneix, I was not… In my eyes was not the fire the creates destruction and evil but the fire that creates warmth, saftey, and destroys only evil… and that I tried… When I had gained signifigent ground, there was a bright flash of light, pure light, and I felt a blanket of warmth around me… and then quiet… peace and quiet… and all my friends were around me talking in hushed voices, but what they were saying didn’t mater… as long as they suronded me I was safe, I knew I was…
((249-Just before he died!))
We came out of the portal, and were looking at the others.
Adeia was glowing again, but this time, she was staying in control, not letting her anger overwhelm her.
“She’s controlling it, as Jean Grey learned to in the retcon!”
I stepped out.. and saw this scary-looking guy and some people stepping through a wormhole.
“WAIT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” I shrieked, and sprinted through the wormhole.
Baylee looked around in amazement, she was in a small town near the sea. She didn’t feel like she was actually there. Where was Kai? She looked down and saw her body was very faint. She stared for a long time and realized that her body must’ve gone with Kai while she had gone through another portal. She shuddered. It seemed very odd. All of a sudden there was screaming from a big castle to her left. Troops marched out with a young girl that was limp in their arms. Baylee looked at them in horror. who would do such a thing? A woman came out next with chains on her feet and arms. She was beautiful, and her hair was put up in braids that looked like a crown. A man came next in chains too. “Soladin!” he cried out fiercely. Another well dressed man came and smiled viciously. “Rendarren,” Baylee muttered under her breath. She could hear him trying to think up a torture for the man, “Should we slowly roast him on a stick, or should we have him hang from a steak 50 feet off the ground?” he said, “Well, I can’t kill Soladin becuase she has the locket. Bird is dead but….” he ordered some men, “Go find 3 kids, one tall boy with dark hair, a girl with golden curls and a pink dress on, and a girl barely over the age of three, all of them should be together, bring them back to me and kill them,” The man in chains kept his chin up but Baylee could see some tears beginning.
I realized Baylee wasn’t with us. She must have become separated when we went through the portal. She could be in any universe, anwhere, anywhen! How the heck was I supposed to find her?
This is so much bigger than just exploring secret tunnels. I thought.
I saw Baylee. “Hello?” I waved my hand in front of her.
She came out of her trance. “Oh, hi.”
((Sorry for the double post, but, Kai, isn’t Baylee still with you, just in a trance?))
“This is very bad.” I think to myself. “Ummmm, reviewing the situation. I’m in a strange house with Superior Saturday and just about everyone from MA. Bookworm’s on the floor with a stab wound in the chest, probably from a nothing-infused knife. Adeia seems to have her power under control, which is very good. But everyone’s just talking when Saturday’s probably trying to kill us!”
“…Guys?” I say. “We need to first help Bookworm and then leave. Fast.”
(( What book is Saturday from?))
I knew I was safe… … wasn’t I? Some of my friends’ thoughts broke through my cocoon of safety more strongly than others…
Bookworm’s thoughts, all though he was unconscious, I felt thatt he was in deadly pain… I pictured the wound healing and Bookworm’s breathing returning to normal… and then his thoughts calmed… And then everyone’s thoughts were gone; I was alone totally, alone…
“Where are you little missy? You can’t hide in that cocoon of yours forever…” someone’s sinister thoughts said… I felt powerless… so I did the only thing I could… I screamed… “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!â€
((Superior Saturday, by Garth Nix. It hasn’t come out yet, and we don’t even know what she looks like, but she’s mentioned in some of the other Keys to the Kingdom books.))
((256-Ooohps, sorry))
((Can I join up with the story?))
((Yes, you can!)) I slowly awoke, feeling strange. When I looked at my chest, my wound was gone. I felt no pain. When I looked around, I saw my friends. “Am I in Heaven?” I asked.
“My gosh! Adeia’s got almost unlimitted Cosmic powers, yet Saturday’s hurting her!”
I picked up a rock and threw it at Superior Saturday…
I saw a large, scary-looking person. Instinctively, I unsheathed my ligthsaber. “Who is Saturday?” Then I saw Bookworm. “My gosh! What happened to you?”
That gave me away of course and he started attacking, put I was frozen even my mind! I couldn’t do anything! I tried movng and I couldn’t! I was stuck!
And then I saw, Adeia fall to the floor, despite no outer wounds. “I guess I’m not. Adeia? Adeia!” I glanced at Saturday and saw her glancing viciously at Adeia. Suddenly, a rock hit Saturday from behind! She turned around hastily and moved her gaze to Kai. She began advancing, a cruel glint in her eye, with a ferocious Nothing-Blade in her hand. Behind her, Adeia stirred…
I looked at Adeia, who was stirring. That had been the idea. Of course, if I failed… well, I’d just done something that amounted to suicide…gulp.
I stepped forward. “Don’t hurt my friends,” I growled.
((Adeia: Saturday’s a girl. I think. Right?))
I need to get outside and try to fly again. I’m doing any good in here. I sneak to the back of the little group while Saturday is distracted by Kai and Kokonilly. Luckily, the door is still open and I make not a sound as I step out into the fresh air.
Hmmm, how am I going to get to fly again? I think to myself. I know that you can fly by either tripping or falling and forgetting to hit the ground, but it’s almost impossible to get it on purpose without practicing many times.
Well, there’s no time like the present. I spy a great place to practice. The house isn’t all that big, only being one story high. I could climb up to the roof and jump. There are some convenient bushes off to one side to land in.
I start to climb, using the gutter as a handrail and the rough brick sides as footholds. I can’t let Saturday notice me…
((269 Yes))
I could still think and see. I thought… Saturday is focusing her power on me because I am where the power is, but what if someone else has them? I found a trickle of unfrozen power… I thought again… I can move stuff so can I move my powers to another being, temporarilly of course? ” Yes” a voice said in my head and continued, “We, the Phoniex Force will temporailly tranfer your powers to another person so you can escape… Who shall we tranfer them to?” Kokonilly I thought, she is in the best position to attack… and it was done… I was then able to esca
(( sorry me text box shrunk before I could copy it …)) pe and Kokonilly was able to attack.
Baylee lasped back into the world she was supposed to be in and saw Kokonilly. But while she just stood there, staring at the people in the room her mind seemed to go away into another world. I gave a random scream while I felt power surge through me from Adeia into Kokonilly.
I stood, moderately helpless. I had no powers. Adeia had woken up, and her eyes looked normal, not power-filled. Saturday was still advancing Kai, who appeared to be praying. Kokonilly, brave and appearing defenseless, stepped in front of Kai and uttered “Don’t hurt my friends.” I felt like a pathetic coward. My friends where being attacked by Saturday, and I was doing nothing! “Saturday!” I yelled, “You’re a un-superior moron! Penhaligon’s here to challenge you, and your little ally St. Dane is nowhere in sight!” Saturday spun around in alarm… ((Penhaligon’s not really here, it’s a distraction!))
((Clever!))
((okay, I’m going to insert myself in.))
Saturday stopped at the shout. Me and the Bookworm stood there, staring at her. She snarled, and ran at us.
I suddenly felt a surge of power. I glanced at Adeia. She nodded, her eyes normal and clear.
((I don’t know what to do know… I know nothing about Saturday!))
(( Well niether do I … I haven’t even read the keys to the kingdom books. ))
‘You can do it Kokonilly, I know you can’ I thought, though no one could here me now, Kokonilly could…
((277 – I have never heard of the Keys to the Kingdom books.))
I heard Adeia’s comforting words. I stepped forward and attacked Saturday. “I don’t know WHO you are, but there is no way I’m letting you hurt these people!!!” I screamed. Saturday turned.
((Whew, I finally finished reading all of the previous Muse Academy posts from the main three threads! Do I need to read the others (ball, planning, etc.) before I join? Also, is it acceptable for my character to have taken online courses, so she’s somewhat familiar with the school despite being new to the campus? I don’t have time to do an intro now, but I should be able to jump in tomorrow.))
((No, you don’t have to read the other threads. It’s acceptable for you to have taken Internet classes.))
“Get her, Kokonilly, get her!”
((279 – WOW! How much time do you have on your hands?! ))
‘Just picture it happen, Kokonilly, just picture it…’
((BTW – I won’t be here again till next saturday… BUT I will be having a blast in Colorodo See you all then! ( someone can use my charachter if they need to)))
I pictured Saturday getting her butt kicked.
I lunged forward and attacked viciously.
((Oh…my…gosh. We have telepathy? What the heck is going on? Are we even in Muse Academy? Why is Granny Weatherwax evil? She seemed okay in Tiffany Aching’s books! I think I shall vanish and come back into the story when we return to Muse Academy. Oh well.))
((284 – Where have you been? Adeia got weird powers, Granny Weatherwax is not evil, she was St. Dane is disguise, and we’re still under Muse Academy. I think.))
((282 – Fortunately I had a nice chunk of free time yesterday – hooray for summer!))
In the midst of the action, a pale-complexioned, befuddled-looking girl appeared out of the blue. Compared to the spectacular forces battling around her, she was an unremarkable figure. Rather short and on the stocky side, she wore standard casual teenage attire: dark blue jeans and a black hoodie. The Lovecraft elder sign ((look up “elder sign” on Wikipedia for a picture)) embroidered on the front of the hoodie in gold thread was the outfit’s sole distinguishing feature. A Muse Academy house badge was pinned precariously to the hoodie’s right sleeve. The girl’s dark brown hair spilled over her shoulders in unruly curls, which she brushed from her face impatiently, revealing bright, dark brown eyes magnified by purple-framed glasses. Good thing I sent my bags ahead – now all I have to worry about is getting myself to school. She scuffed her boots in the dirt, wanting to approach the others but holding back out of chronic shyness. Go on, this is Muse Academy! These people will be different! They won’t mind that you love literature, folklore, and random factoids more than MTV…go on, talk to them! Finally mustering her courage, the girl took a deep breath. “Hi, is this Baker house?” She asked hopefully as she approached the nearest person and waved shyly. “My name is Eta. I’ve been in Muse Academy Online, and I was supposed to transfer to campus this semester – I’m seventeen, so I’m going to be a senior – only my plane got hijacked by Cthulhu cultists and…um…” She trailed off awkwardly as she took in the strange scene around her. “Sorry, is this a bad time?”
I finally reach the roof of the house. I prepare to jump, and do so. As I fall, I try thinking of the lyrics to a well-known Beatles song, but I can’t help but looking at the bushes below me. Dang, this isn’t going to work I think, when suddenly, I hear a random scream. The scream surprises me just enough so I forget about hitting the ground. I was flying again! Finally, I can be of some help. I try to contact Adeia. From reading so many fantasy books, I have often tried to talk to my pets and have, in practice, achieved a level of concentration necessary for telepathy. Or at least I think so. It’s never worked before.
Adeia? Adeia?
No response. I try harder.
Adeia? Answer me!!!
Then, suddenly Kyra! Calm down! It’s Kokonilly. What do you want?
Surprised by this new plot twist, I answer Try to bring Saturday outside. You’ll have more space and plus, I can help now.
What?
Just do it! Trust me.
Ok…
All of a sudden, Baylee was not with Kokonilly any more. And her whole mind seemed stuck in the other world. Rendarren was viciously beating to young kids and Soladin was just about to give a small locket to Rendarren when Baylee ran at him and started to shout and punch with all her might. Rendarren cackled softly, “Baylee, tsk tsk, Baylee,” Baylee froze in mid punch. “How do you know my name?” “Well, we’ve been watching you, haven’t we?” “You will never get away with this!” She screamed. “Oh, but you and your friends are already taken care of!” “My friends are still alive. You know nothing of them!” “How do you know? They might be trapped in a cave with a dragon, or on a boat in swamp with leeches, nowhere to go,” The limp girl in the soldiers arms gave a shudder. She was alive! Baylee looked almost relieved, but then there was sudden darkness and she was in a cave, with her friends, and an odd girl who looked strangely like Saturday.
((oh sorry, I didn’t see post 286))
All of a sudden another girl appeared with them too who had just seemed to have finished a sentence and looked very confused. Baylee had never seen her at MA before. So her talkative friendly side kicked in, even though it was the most unusual time. “Hi, I am Baylee. I will prolly get to know you more at MA, but it’s nice to see you here. We have to hurry because I’m pretty sure there is a dragon in here,” Baylee pushed on, “Are you a neophtye?”
Puzzled at Kyra’s request, I battled Saturday for a bit and ran outside and resumed the battle, wondering what would happen.
I ran outside with Kokonilly, not able to do much to help.
I watch Kokonilly run outside from my bird’s-eye-view perspective. I carefully wiggle out a loose brick from the house’s chimney and wait until I can give Kokonilly some backup.
Reassured by Baylee’s friendliness, Eta relaxed, seeming to come out of her introvert shell more. “Nice to meet you! I’ve been taking online classes, but this is my first semester actually at the school, so I guess I am kind of a neophyte.” As dangerous as the situation was, her eyes still lit up at the mention of a mythical creature. “What kind of dragon? Dragon like the cartoonish, friendly ones or…” Yet again she trailed off, turning hesitantly to investigate the source of the sudden hot wind at her back. She heard a low rumble and started to back away as faint, ominously fang-shaped glimmers began to materialize from the darkness. “…the evil, knight-roasting variety,” she finished, gulping.
((Where are Baylee and Eta? What books are they encountering?))
I ducked and jumped Saturday’s swings, praying to any deity that Kyra would come soon.
I drop the brick and hope that it hits Saturday instead of Kokonilly. I also hope that Saturday didn’t think to bring her wings or the 6th key.
With a resounding THUNK the brick hits Saturday’s head. Since she is a denzien, she is merely knocked out instead of killed.
I swoop down lower and say, in a panicked state of voice, “We have to get rid of her somehow before she wakes up!”
“Is there a portal around here, in the house? She must’ve gotten to Lancre somehow…”
I looked around, and pulled back a wall hanging to reveal another metal oval.
“There’s a portal here. Now, if we could just find the controls, we could send her to the age of dinosaurs or something.”
I look up to see Kyra holding a brick. Her plan dawning on me, I stepped deftly so that Saturday was directly underneath her. There was a loud THUNK as Saturday collapsed. I collapsed too, but in relief.
I looked around the area near the machine. There were what looked like wooden crates. I opened one up to find buttons on a metal surface and a plastic screen.
“Hey, guys, I found the controls! Now we can use this portal! Now, where do we send Saturday…”
“Send her back to her book! If we don’t, the whole series will be messed up! After we send her back, let’s smash the portal! It’s too dangerous… Where did St. Dane go, by the way?”
“Anywhere we send her, she could easily get back to the House if she has her Key.” I reply. “She probably could get back to the House if she doesn’t have her Key, now that I think about it. Do you think we could send her into a pit of Nothing? That should slow her down.”
“How about the Stone Age?” I asked.
“What about the effects on the time-space continuum?” someone asked.
I frowned as I contemplated the possibilities.. “Well, THAT complicates things.”
“Let’s send her to Lord Arthur! He’s the only one who can truly get rid of her!”
((New thread?))
“I don’t know who you are talking about, but okay!”
“Hmmm… I was thinking Tunguska, Siberia, June 30, 1908.”
((4th episode of COSMOS))
“Just hurry up and make a decision already!!!”
“Is she waking up?”
I punched in the co-ordinates for Tunguska and the others pushed Saturday through the glowing portal.
“On June 30, 1908, a mysterious object exploded above the Tunguska region of Russia. The blast has been estimated at being the equivalent of 10-15 megatons of TNT or 1000 atomic bombs. Scientists believe that the object was a comet or an asteroid vaporizing in the atmosphere. Only one woman was in a position to find out… and I don’t think we’ll hear from her again.” I said.
309- *bored* *reads history book in MA lounge* “Huh, that’s interesting. Bet it was the Russians testing out nuclear weapons or something. Wait, but it was in 1908…
310- Which is why we think it was an asteroid or comet. Either way, I don’t think Saturday survived it.
“Great place to send her! Saturday goes Boom! What will happen to the book series, though?”
“We’ve already killed Darth Vader, Bookworm. I think they must come back to life in their books or something.” I am still hovering overhead.
a 4’3” girl shuffles into the school. She appears odd atfirs with her violet cloak, 2’high stack of books, and multiple braids. “*sigh* what was I thinking, of course noone would expecr me. I ‘m coming in midyear for peat’s sake!” she thinks. struggling, she puts down her books and pulls a crumpled sheet of paper from her cloak. “Spector..spector…what is that?” she mutters to herself. “Hello? Can anyone Help me! I need to find out what Spector is!!!” ((I hope noone minds me dropping in unanounced))
((sorry if this is a bad time, and anyone can itroduce me when the feel like it :hopeful:)) ((what’s going on?))
((“Contextual incommensurability due to the juxtaposition of mutually orthogonal imaginative axes,” as Chad once said.))
((Hi Robert! I know this is totally random, (but it is just one thing so dont banish me to a randomnes thread) but are you related to Dean Coontz? My dad likes his books))
“That sounds like an ideal place to put Saturday. Good idea,” I say absentmindedly, wondering if we would ever get back to MA.
Unfortunately, I was still broadcasting messages, making everyone hear my thoughts in their head. Even the ones that did not make any sense.
“I’m worried about St. Dane. Until we find him, I don’t think we can go back safely…”
(((316) I like to refer to Dean as my “temporarily more famous cousin.” He spells his last name with a “K,” however, so he’s probably a distant cousin at best. There’s also an Otto Coontz (with a C) who writes somewhat dark fantasy books for children. Coontzes/Koontzes have been in North America since the early 18th Century, and most of the various tribes lost track of one another generations ago.))
“Well, if we set the co-ordinates to Muse Academy Island on the day we left, we can go back through this portal.” I said, punching in the lattitude and longitude.
I realized my mistake and stopped sending out thoughts. But I sent one to Adeia.
I can’t handle these powers. You want them back?
I wonder if we’ll ever get back to MA… Eta suddenly realized that she wasn’t the one thinking that. “Um, Baylee, did you hear anything just now?” The voice was unfamiliar, but it had to be someone else from the Academy, right? As she focused on the source of the voice, the materializing dragon flickered. The cave started to fade in and out, revealing Kokonilly and the others just out of reach. At the same time, however, Eta was distracted by another mid-year arrival asking for Spector house ((earthgirl)). Eta immediately admired her impressive stack of books; an awkward moment passed before Eta snapped out of reading the titles and offered a hand. “Oh, hi! I’m Eta. Are you new too? Spector is one of the Academy houses. I’m in Baker. I haven’t actually been there yet, but maybe if we both concentrate on those people over there -” she gestured vaguely in the direction of the other room “- we can at least get out of this cave.”
((Agh, sorry my posts always end up long! I’m also sorry if I’m taking over your storyline here, Beatlesrockr/Baylee. Feel free to take the lead again whenever.))
“thanks eta! yeah, I;m new. I had no idea tha MA acctally existed outside of the MB. I just got a letter and my eccentric aunt drapped me off here. what are thay doing?” *glances at the group of people that Eta had gestured towards* ((by the way, can we even see you kokonilly and co., if you are in a dufferent time?)) “umm, *stggers under weight of books* could you help me with these? you can borrow some, if you want”
“Aw, man, I wanted to keep flying.” I touch down on the ground, wobble a little, and stand upright. KaiYuves finishes typing in the coordinates of MA and the portal flares into life. The shimmering colors inside form into a picture of the MA library and an untouched fireplace.
((We could put another villain in here, like Raistlin, but I really want to get back to normal life again))
((Oops, I guess someone should remember Bylee.))
((PLEASE, no more villains. That was exciting enough.))
I stepped through the portal and see two girls. I wave. They wave back. “Hi. What are your names?” I ask.
((322- it’s fine, sometimes we do something that’ll change the whole course of the story))
I quickly help ((what’s your name in the story Earthgirl? Should I just call you Earthgirl? Oh, and we are talking in 1st or 3rd, just to let you know)) Earthgirl with her books. “Hi, I’m Baylee. I’m in the Spector house and we are just about to head home…” she put Earthgirls books in her sack so her hands were free. “Oh, and don’t worry Eta, it’s just Kokonilly or Adeia. Using there ‘mind sending’ thingy mabobber,” she turned around and found there was a dragon in the cave. It was a Knucker, and a very large one at that. Knuckers are slimy and disgusting. But this one seemed to be quadruple slimy and disgusting.
” hi, you can call me eria!, thanks Baylee. I was just wondering where the Spector House is and since you’r in spector t-WHAT IS THAT!!!!” *frezes in fear, then tries to hide under cloak (which is smart because it is accidentallly dragonproofed…mighr be useful if anyone else wants to joinn me?)*
“Uh-oh. Another weird thing?” I turn and ask Eria “Is your cloak dragonproof?” Seeing a mute nod, I ducked under the cloak too.
“Let’s head back to MA then! Wait… Where’s Baylee?”
((I already stepped through the portal too!))
“Yeah, where IS Baylee?” I asked. “Did she end up somewhere else when we warped to Lancre?”
Baylee could here Kai and Bookworm asking where she was. “I’M HERE!” They didn’t seem to notice. Maybe they weren’t actually there? She remembered that there was a Knucker in the cave with them. She quickly grabbed a stick of wood, tore off part of her t-shirt and lit it. She threw it at the back of the cave and the bones-that hadn’t been there before- flared. “Get out of the cave!” she yelled, “It’s gonna BLOW!”
a burst of flame bellowed out of the rip that kokonilly had come from, with Baleey running befor it. two more peope dived uner my accidentally (long story…) dragonproof cloak, and they dragged me away from the flame as I was still frazen with fright. coming to my senses, I call “waht about Eta and the others!”
Eta took the few books that wouldn’t fit in Baylee’s sack off her hands, freeing them up to spread the handy cloak. The voice she’d heard in her head – Kokonilly’s, apparently – was now coming from right in front of her. “Hi! I’m Eta. Is anybody else here from Baker house?” She quickly squeezed under the cloak with the others and prepared to run as Baylee’s fire blazed behind them.
((I’m confused, can we see you again now?))
As I ran for my life, I sighed, wondering If I would ever get to my dorm and start a normal school day. “Is every day like this?” I yell to Baleey who had just caught up with us and was trying to get under the cloak while running. ((where ARE we running?))
“Yeah, just a typical say at MA,” I yell back to Eria.
*I shiver at the thought of eternally running under an overcrowded and stuffy cloak* oh well, at least I wond be bored.
((Sorry, typical day.))
“What’s happening? Where is everybody?” I look around Lancre, seeing nobody left around. ((They all got transported, but then the portal stopped!)) “Ah well. Maybe they teleported back! I’m going to!” I flipped a few switches on the machine, and watched the portal to MA open. I stepped through, throwing a rock at the machine. It hit the machine, which crumbled. I watched it fall apart as I teleported…
*******************************************************************************
I was back at MA. “Where is everyone? I said out loud…
((Okay, so we were in the teleporter, but we didn’t go back to MA?))
((ok I need a conformation: I think Eria, Eta, Kokonilly, Baylee, the Bookworm, are here is taht all?))
((343- Are where? Anyway, I never got teleported, either. Or did I? I’m confused. Tell me where I am!))
((Can we just say that everybody’s back at MA?))
((I know I’m back at MA. I don’t know where everyone else is. I think they all got teleported to the Cave with the Knucker…))
‘Ello, everyone! Where’ve you been all this time?
“Well, we were exploring in these underground tunnels and we found this secret lab, with a teleporter that sent us to a fictional universe, and this bad girl named Superior Saturday got sent to Siberia… how was YOUR day?”
.”And she blew up! BOOM goes Saturday!”
((I want to be back at MA. I’m going to say that I tripped and forgot to hit the ground, flew out of Larce, and ran back into MA through the fireplace. There.))
((I am afraid that I was too lazy to read back for all the other adventures, but it seems to me as though you are going back to ordinary school life…If you are, can I pretty please join? I read up through about post 100 on the second thread…))
((351- Yes, we are. And to think one day took more than a month to write!))
I’m back in the library. I’m covered in blood, sweat, dirt, and leaves. I need to wash up.
I try to hurry back to the Baker Dormitory without anyone seeing me, but I fail. The hurried explination of “Got lost in the woods” keeps away a few stares.
I arrive at the luxurious bathroom and begin to take a shower.
Aaaahhh, it’s good to be back…
I, too, head to the Baker dormitory. I’d only been there once before, to drop off my bags. Seeing no other Baker boys, I begin to unpack and unwind.
I manage to shake everyone off as they go back to their dorms, and follow Baylee, hoping she is gong back to the dormitory.
Realising that someone should probably tell the GAPAs about the dangers lurking under the school, I headed to the main office, taking the real floppy disk with me.
finally, Baylee passes a door and says, “her is the dorm, you can have any bed you wnat. you should probably unpack now, you won’t have time tomorow.” I thank her and head in. ((Idk if you come in or go to the GAPAs with KaiYves, so i dont want to say))
((I know its a little on the odd side to be joining a school halfway through the year, but from what I’ve heard of MA, that doesn’t seem to be too much of a problem…still, I think I’ll randomly pop into existence))
Hypatia sits down in the Spector dorm, appreciative of the plush fuschia. She pulls out a fairly interesting book review, focusing primarily on the German populace’s sentiment towards the Nazis and begins to read, awaiting her fellow Spectorians’ return.
From time to time, she breaks into fits of raucous laughter and settles further into the plush of her armchair.
348- Yes, yes, I was with you in the tunnels. But you blew up a girl named Saturday? Don’t know who she is, don’t really care, either.
I’ll get the wreaking ball to seal off the fireplace. Wait–it was crushed. I’ll get another one. *runs off*
((349- I was making a joke on the expression “sent to Siberia”.))
“So, there’s these freaky tunnels under the school, and inside, there are booby-traps, HPBs and a secret lab with a machine that lets you travel to other universes and times.” I said.
Ms. Spector picked up the telephone and dialed a number.
“Hello, Navy? Yeah, we need you over here again.”
Eta followed a few of her fellow Musers back to what she hoped was Baker house. Poking her head through a few open doorways inside, she finally located her bags in a dorm near the end of the hallway. Shutting the door behind her, she proceeded to unpack and freshen up. Feeling refreshed, she left and wandered down the hall to the main area of the house, hoping to meet some more Musers.
((for those who were confused of where they ended up with me, see posts 288 and 253))
Byalee was back in her dorm with ((what’s your name? Eria? or should I call you Earthgirl?)) Earthgirl. She was very relieved. She went off to wash herself up. After she finished, she told Earhtgilr to follow her to the mess hall. “It’s time for lunch right now, you’ll get to meet more students there. I think they’re serving Mac and Cheese and Sandwiches. Or something like that,” she walked into the hallway and saw Kai coming back. “So, how did it go?” As if to answer her question, the Navy came bursting in through the doors for the second time that week. “Are you coming to lunch?” she asked Kai. “I’m really starving, I could eat a 50 foot long carrot!” Baylee grinned as she said this. She was happy to be back in MA after all the adventure the had.
((GAPAs, am i in a house?))
“Sure, I love Mac and Cheese!” I said, walking towards the cafeteria with Baylee. “As Spider-Man once said, ‘The stuff you miss when you’re a million, million miles from home!'”
I walk out of the dorm, and into the cafeteria. “Mmmm, Mac & Cheese!”
357-((I think i’m already there..I’m new too)) ((362- call me Eria, I’m only earthgirl in Bunny Apoclase part two)) I tagg along after Byalee and Kai, bringing only a 6” high stack of books (and my purple dragonproof cloak, just in case). I hope I see Eta at lunch, and I sonder if different houses can sit together. as we enter the cafetiria ((lucky MA! my school only has a cafagymatourium)) I ask Byalee “do I have to sit anywhere special?, or can I just sit anywhere?”
Hypatia stands up to join the general exodus towards lunch. Tentatively, she approaches Kai and Baylee. “Hi!”
“Hi, I’m Kai.” I said, to the new girl. “Want to sit with us?” I asked.
“Hi, I’m Hypatia,” I respond, smiling bashfully. ((I am switching to first person)) “I’m in Spector and pinch confused. I would love to sit with you! Thanks so much, I don’t really know anyone yet…” I ramble on.
((anyome care to answer the question in 366?))”hi, I’m Eria” I say to Hypatia, ((feeling very honored not to be the “new person”)) I’m in Spector too, but I was hoping I could sit with anyone. I met some nice people yesterday, and I’d lie to know them better” *looks expectantly at Byalee and kai, who are the senior MAs*
“Hey, Eria,” I say. “I’m glad there are some fellow Spectorians about! Will you sit with me?”
After my shower, I wander over to the cafeteria to have lunch. I take a sandwich and some juice and head over to a table with Kai and a bunch of other people I know sitting at it.
“sure Hypatia, do you like *stops to read the spines of her books* Terry Pratchet, Tamora Pirece, or Charles Dickens?” we sit down, already discussing pros and cons of various authors. ((sorry if youve never herad of any of those, but there all real))
“I tried one Tamora Pierce and wasn’t particularly fond of it,” I explain. “Terry Pratchett alternately cracks me up and puts me to sleep, but I absolutely adore Charles Dickens. Particularly Great Expectations and,” I say after a moment of thought, “Hard Times. David Copperfield was fairly terrific too. Actually, one could probably go so far as to call me a Charles Dickens addict. You?” I add, enthusiastically!
((sorry about the double post, hitting submit tends to trigger my brain…))
I see another girl enter the cafeteria and take a brief break from my conversation to wave to her, hoping to make another friend.
“Eria, Hypatia, do you like Mark Twain?” Baylee contentedly munched on some Mac n’ Cheese while listening to Eria and Hypatia. She spotted Kyra. “Hey Kyra! Some adventure we had there wasn’t it?” A lot of people were entering the mess hall. She gestured for Eta, who had just gotten in, to come sit with them after she had gotten lunch.
gleefully recognising a fellow book addict, i say “I’m deffinetly a fantasy person. Which tamora pirce did you read? some are deffinetly better than others” ((is Eta there? I thought she had an interest in books too, and might like to join this disscusion))
i turn to Betlesrocker, and reply “yes! his are some of the greatest clasics ever written! Personally, huckleberry Finn is my favorite character. you?” this is addressed to beetlesrocer, Hypitia, and the recent arrival Eta
I join in the conversation.
“I’ve read one Terry Pratchett series that was really good. It was… Dang, I forgot! It’s the one with Truckers, Diggers, and Wings. I’ve never really gotten into Discworld.”
“What books did Tamora Pierce write? I’ve heard of her, vaguely.”
“I really liked Oliver Twist, but not so much Great Expectations. Great Expectations was scary.”
“Say, have any of you read the Pellinor series by Allison Croggon? The fourth one’s coming out in September! Whoopee!”
I sincerely hope nobody starts a cataclysmic argument about Eragon.
“I love Mark Twain. Of course, I’ve read the standard Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer, but I think one of the nicest pieces that I ever read by him was a short story about an imbecilic general who became a national hero and was revered as a genius through sheer luck! Very biting,” I respond enthusiastically to Baylee. I then turn to Eria again. “‘I’ll be quite honest with you: it was some time ago, and I don’t really remember. I might even have dropped it partially through. I love fantasy too, but only totally zany fantasy. Is there a Tamora Pierce that you recommend, however, because I would be only too willing to give it a try if a fellow Muser recommended it?” I say. Finally, I make a query adressed to no one in particular, “Actually, being a ‘phyte, I am rather hopeless. I was wondering what classes everybody recommends? And which, if any to steer clear of? I desperately need some help devising a schedule.”
“Hello,” I say to Mogget’s Little Sister. “I’m a phyte from Spector House: Hypatia! I take it you’re a more veteran student? Nice to meet you,” I say, brimming with energy, but a little shy.
“I read that terry pratchet too! My favorite was “a hat made of Sky”, but it is the 2nd in a serise, Diskworld i think. Tamora wrote the circle of magic books. there are 4, and each focuses on one of the 4 main characters. I’ve never herd of Pelinor, what is it?”
(I am nutral about Eragon, I wont start any arguments)
380-“It is best to start at the beginning of Tamora Pirce. I suggest you start with “circle of Magic; Sandry’s Story” this is the first in the begging serise. there are other serise though, you can read them independenly. I

or

Tamora Pirce’s BOOKS!!!!!”
*turning to Kai* I need some help with my scedual too, I just got here yesterday, in the middle of that big knucker explosin thinggy”
“Hello, everyone! Mind if I sit here?” Seeing no objections, I sit down. “I haven’t read Twain’s books. I liked Great Expectations, but I was bored to death by Oliver Twist. The musical is good, though! I like Tamora Pierce, although I’m not avid. However, I love Terry Pratchett’s Books! Discworld especially, but I also enjoyed Good Omens! I have shelves and shelves of Discworld. I am addicted to the point where I can summarize the plots from memory, and quote long sections. It’s so sad about his Alzheimers…”
“Thanks, eria. I’ll definitely consider them. By the way, whose up for a stroll through the grounds once desert has been served and cleared. I’d love a better picture of the premises as, so far, all I’ve seen is my dorm…And maybe someone can show me that staple of existence the library? I would appreciate that ever so much,” I say, still eager to explore MA.
“Hey,” I say, in a fairly futile attempt to interrupt Bookworm’s rant about books. “Glad we have so many avid readers here! Anyway, I am a phyte Spectorian called Hypatia and, if you’ll excuse the bluntness of the expression, who are you? Other than a Bookworm of course?” I add, laughing rather pathetically at my own feeble joke.
“I absolutely love Huck Finn! Eragon is okay, I’m still waiting for the last book to come out in the trilogy. Have you read Sebastian Darke Price of Fools? It’s a very good book. Fantasy is my favorite genre. What about you guys?” Baylee was surprised to find more book addicts at MA. MA needed a lot more. Bookworm came and sat down with us. “How’s it going?” Baylee asked. “Did you get to see the nurse today?”
“A Bakerian Phyte-ish! I haven’t had any time in regular school, but I was down in the tunnels for a while… My name is Bookworm, although that does describe who I am fairly well as well!”
Emerging from the lunch line, Eta spotted Baylee’s signal and made her way over to that table. She sat down just in time for the conversation to turn to one of her favorite subjects. Here was something to cure her shyness! “I’ve only read one book by Terry Pratchett – The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents – really loved it, I need to read more of his stuff. I ‘ve never really gotten into Tamora Pierce; I don’t know if it’s the style or what. I’ve only read Great Expectations by Dickens. What else do you recommend from his work?” Whipping out a pen and notebook from her pocket, she paused to scribble down the book suggestions already floating around. “I’ve read Tom Sawyer, but I still have to get Huck Finn…” She paused again to eat a bit, nodding agreement with Bookworm about the Alzheimer’s situation for Pratchett. “Hi, by the way!” She waved to Hypatia and Bookworm, who seemed to be other new arrivals. “I’m a Baker ‘phyte, too. I haven’t read Sebastian, but I do love fantasy and horror…” She stopped, remembering that before she could dive into any more extracurricular reads, she needed to work out her class schedule. “I have no idea about classes either. What’s everybody taking? I’d love to see more of the campus too, but are there going to be more Sizans and evil Saturdays around?” If there were, she would have to remember to carry an especially heavy book around for self-defense.
((Yikes, sorry for the long post again! I think I’m caught up now.))
((ARGH! Gone for three days!))
I walked back to the dorm. Seeing no other Coontzites with me on our little adventure ((I think)), I walked slowly back alone. Then, I collapsed on the bed and snoozed.
I reply to Hypatia.
“Actually, I’ve only been around here for a day, so I’m really new, too. I haven’t even gone to a class yet!”
I turn to Baylee and tell her that Eragon isn’t a trilogy anymore, but a cycle. Now, we have to wait another five years for the last book to come out. I start laughing, and when nobody joins in, I stop sheepishly.
“So… who has Pre-Algebra with me tomorrow?
I finish scraping the remailns of a choclolate eclair from my plate and reply, “I have no idea what my scedual is, but I think i’d like fencing/archery ((I arch in the real world and want to fence)), meival history, dead languages, advanced inventions, and unique art forms. I think I also get digital phot as manditory, bing in spector, and that sounds cool too. I’ll propably end up in algebra one, but I really wnat geometry. how are the tech ed classes here?” I ramble and rant, this being the first time i have ever felt like i fit in enough to talk about my intereests.
I woke up hours later. Groggy, I wandered over to the cafeteria and saw Eria. “How’s life?” I ask sleepily.
“Actually, Eta, Muse Academy is pretty normal most of the time. Normal being a relative concept, of course.”
“ok, but still confusing. everyone’s trying to figure out sceduals, and go an walks in the gardens at the same time. you missed a great book sharing disscusion ((which does not need to be resuredcted, as I sort of wnat to attend muse acadamy, plese?)). what do you wnat to take?” ((see post 392 for my choices))
“Schedules, schedules, schedules…. There will be a lot I can’t do without this arm. However, maybe I can get a prosthetic of some sort… What are the class choices?”
((wha happened to your arm?))
“Everything!!!” *looks hopefully around, hoping to be agreed with*

((Sorry, post 405 wasn’t there. New thread?))
I heard Adeia and was reminded of her powers. I would never really get used to them. I walked to Adeia, somehow knowing the way to where she was.
“You called?”
((Hypatia would like to voice her humble opinion that this would be an opportune moment for a new thread as a new story arc is beginning, and there are more than 400 posts on this one. What sayeth all?))
((I would like to add my neophytical opinion and agree with the non-neophyte hypitia. NEW THREAD PLEASE!!!))
