Howdy, stranger! You new around here? Come right in! We’ve got some pie waiting for you, and friendly locals ready to answer your questions and help you feel at home.
For starters, we recommend that newcomers (that’s what “neophytes” means) look over The Rules and The HG2MB (Hitchhiker’s Guide to MuseBlog), which contains more helpful information than you can shake a stick at. We don’t know why you’d want to shake a stick at it, but now you know you don’t have to bother.
MuseBlog Veterans: Please use this thread only to welcome newcomers as they arrive and answer questions that they ask.
Welcome newbies! If you have any questions, us veterans are always here to lend you a hand. Here’s a welcome pie.

*splat*
Hi! I was on the February thread, but I’m still a neophyte!
Hiya!
*pies again*
1- Um… who are you? I don’t recognize the name, and… you’re not on the Who’s Here page. Are you actually a ‘phyte masquerading as an oldbie? If so, stop.
If not, did you change your name or something?
2- Trying to get more free pie, eh? I’ll not oblige.
Piggy: kokopie96 = me (who else) = bananacreampiesforever = bluedude, who first posted on February 15, 2007.
2)

Hey R101! Again.
Here’s another for you!
4- No, I wasn’t trying to get free pies, I was just justifying being on this thread.
6- Thanks!
1 – Hm, I can’t seem to remember you. Strange, because I’ve been active since January 2008, but here since 2006.
That’s for you Randomosity!
Hi! I’m really new (which I guess makes me a neophyte. . . where did that word come from?) and I just wanted to say that hpbs are cool
11- Welcome!!

HPBs?! Cute?! More like EVIL!!!
Anyway, enjoy your stay at the glorious place we call MuseBlog!
12- Yeah, I agree with you! Thanks for the welcome!

5- Huh. Confusing. I hate name changes. That reminds me: Neophytes: Please choose a name and stick to it. Name changes later on become very confusing and annoying. In the past, I’ve not realised that a person who changed ens name was the same person; I thought they were two different people. So pick a name and hold onto it. Thank you.
11- It’s from the Greek, roughly meaning “newly planted”. And you have the right idea; HPBs are cool. Not evil. If you disobey, they will change you, as they did me. *twitches*
Welcome, Peace_Pie_The_Beatles_Rock!

HPBs…
*shudder*
Welcome, Randomosity 101 and Peace_Pies_The_Beatles_Rock!!
I should say, particularly for Peace_Pies_The_Beatles_Rock!, if you have a preference for how people shorten your name, you might want to tell people, as it can get tiring trying to type out all of the many names!
I sense what bothered Piggy most was the lightly disguised first post grab. Maybe not, but that’s just a thought…
.I’m not technically a phyte, cause I’ve been lurking for a year, but I’ve just started posting recently. I guess I’m a posting phyte, but not a total phyte. Pies to all other newcomers!
Peace_Pies_The_Beatles_Rock!)
).
Don’t worry about it that much, but be forewarned that some MBers might shorten your name to “PPTBR”, if, for example, you join an RPG. Changing your name is confusing for other MBers, and some of them might still call you by the old one (guilty, I’m still calling RoseQuartz LadyG even though she changed her name months ago
Now that you’ve said hi, plunge in and start blogging. :This months thread (see sidebar) is always a good place to start. Have fun, and if you ever have any questions, just come over. Despite what you’ve just read, MBers are very friendly and happy to help
18- Exactly. I just can’t wrap my head around the fact that she’s no longer LadyG, or, as I thought of her for some reason, Lady Gad. Even davidude to E2MB mixes me up.
17- Well, it’s good to see you anyway!
16- No, actually, although I do see that now. It just seemed like a ploy to get free pie. By the way, I was wondering: does anyone else abbreviate your name as HAWK, or is it just me? I know; that’s random.
Anyways, neophytes, just try to act civilised, use proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling, contribute to conversation, and just act normal. Everyone, (especially me, when I was a newbie), tries to be “cool”, in MB standards, or interesting, or special in some way when they first begin posting, but it’s much nicer when people just act normal. You’ll fit in and lose your neophyte status when you stop acting like one. You may not see how you’re posting at first, but, in a while, be it months or years, you’ll look back and cringe at your early posts. I can barely bring myself to read my first few posts. All in all, welcome to MuseBlog, be nice, and have fun!

To the people concerned about my name:
PPTBR is absolutely fine and I don’t mind if I am called that.
Yeah… sorry about the name-change. I forget sometimes what my old name was if I haven’t posted in a while… but I’ve been posting on and off since 2007.
19- Most people call him either HAWK, Hawk, RtH, or RTH! (I think…)
Pies to Mister Monekofras! (Which Means What?)
17- You’re not ‘phyte enough to put a period at the beginning of your post!
I think name changes are ok, if done gradually. Perhaps I make more use of the Who’s Here page more than other people.
18 (bookgirl_me)-Eep. I was lurking when I saw RoseQuartz THINKING about changing her name. That makes me feel so old. On the other hand, I’ve never called her Lady G, and that makes me feel so recent.

19 (Piggy) – I look at my posts and don’t even feel like I wrote them.
So this post is allowed, Peace_Pie_ The_Beatles_Rock! and Randomosity 101,
19–haha, my posts only make me cringe because I was so formal. And I was much less lax about capitalization when I was new to the blog (I won’t say phyte, as I never thought of myself as one–probably because they didn’t exist yet), whereas now……..I’ve still maintained the spelling (with the exception of typos) and grammar, but I have allowed the capitalization to slip, and no longer see the need to be so….I dunno, serious?
*sings*
Spellcheck, nothing but spellcheck, da da da dum…
{self-snip}
What the cake ? I’m parodying my parody. Oh well. I would say that capitalization isn’t that important, but I bad spelling does tend to tick some MBers off. Spellcheck has saved me lots of shame in that respect.

23-Why should I put a period at the end of my post?
And about Monekofras… It’s part of an elaborate clue to my identity on the alter ego thread, I just thought I’d post it here so it isn’t noticed as much.
27- The beginning of your post, not the end. The Recent Comments sidebar cuts off comments at the first period, so before a spoiler a Spoiler Warning with a period hides the comment. Some MBers don’t like the sidebar, so they hide all of their posts. I assumed such.
Welcome all neophytes!
*pies*
hello all fellow musers! *muses a bit on what to say next* i’m a ‘phyte tho i used to lurk around, oh, about two years ago, and i just got out of the habit…now that i have discovered the wonderful RSS feeds and how much easier they make staying up with the latest comments, i’ve decided to rejoin the wonderful and random museness
a question: what are muszey points? I think i know what b-day points are, but those muszeys have got me confuzuled.
ps. no, i never posted during my short tenure as a lurker couple years back…
Hello strangers! I’m a ‘phyte too, I guess. BTW I’m Peace_Pie_The_Beatles_Rock!’s cousin. I have a question. What are those birthday/muszey/etc. points? I have no idea what they mean. . .
arrow: to everyone!!!!!
Well, anyways,
31- Welcome!!

Wung Points and Creativity Ceylon points are from Paker, which is an RP game played on the Student Lounge thread; Brain Points are from trivia games; Muszey Points are just randomly given out. I think you {used to?} get Birthday Points on your birthday.
.28-It’s not that I don’t like the sidebar, it’s just that if I post a ton at the same time, I feel like I’m posting too much, and I so I hide some of my posts with the period.
32- Whoa that made no sense. Thanks for trying though!
Points are practically pointless, ironically. Don’t concern yourself. If you are concerned, try the Points thread.
Welcome, Silver Lining and WildAndWindy!
I’ve lost track of who came here. So these are for everyone.
Ouch, thats harsh.
Im new here, I just decided to join the Blog! (Even though I’ve been reading Muse since 2003)
Is there anything I should know?
38- Welcome!!! I’m Syllabub. Things you should know……Throw lots of pies!!
Have lots of fun!! (And have fun throwing pies.
) And no PoPos, or Pointless Posts. I really don’t mind them, but some people do. Read the HG2MB if you haven’t already. I guess that’s all you really need to know!
38- Welcome!
Just a few hints: 1. Try not to double- or triple-post. It gets annoying. Just try to say everything you want to say in one post before hitting “submit”. 2. Be nice, don’t swear, and try not to be annoying. If you stick with MuseBlog, you’ll eventually lose your neophyte status and see how nearly all ‘phytes post. Just be yourself. At the same time, don’t try to make yourself stick out or be “different” in some way. I just find that irritating. 3. As Syllabub said, don’t post random, non-topic-related things on any thread but the random thread. Although Musers worship randomness, we need order as well. 4. All in all, have fun!
I think I will! Im off to find the thread where the HPB wars are going on…
41- You mean Bunny Apocalypse? That RPG really confuzzled me.
Welcome, by the way!

42-It is NOT confuzzling. I read both BA and BA-TNG and I could understand it… kind of. BA got a bit out of hand, but BA-TNG is better.
How do I cross out my words?
43- <strike>words to be
stricken</strike>HTML & Typography
Well, hello my little neophytes! Gather round old Uncle Eragon’s chair and I’ll tell yeh a story. *oooh, ahhh.* Once upon a time, there was a year- and a half year old MuseBlogger. His name…was Eragon. He desired to enter the realm of successful point-makers, such as POSOC, who invented the legendary spzdk points (or so the story goes.) *ooooh, ahhhh* Will yeh stop that! *yes, uncle* So, eh, anyway, he made Muszey points. Nobody really liked them, but he gave them out anyway, to folk like Luna, who answered my Harry Potter Trivia questions correctly. And the points were fine, and people got on, and life here at MuseBlog was Mostly Harmless as usual. But the the Council of Point-Making People, me and someone else, decided to officially disband my points. I cried myself to sleep for the next two weeks. My points were a failure!!! And Eragon was sad. So very, very sad. He was so sad, he decided to go out and drink mead all night. He came back with a gold hoop earring, and a Fender Stratocaster tattoo on his back, and and an Emover (only RockBand lovers will recognize that) haircut. He lived sadly ever after. The End.
Well, that there’s my story! Have fun on the blog.
BA-TNG seems to be very attractive for -phytes… I think I’ll just answer all questions in advance…
1) HTML:
All of the allowed HTML is under the comments box. Here are the most important ones:
– the i is for italics. They look like this
– “strong” makes text really fat
–
see 44To end HTML, just put a / in front of the word/letters (see 444)
I posted a summary for BA:TNG on the last thread…
(<b> does the same thing as <strong> and is easier to write.)
47)
Here’s the link-scroll down to post 93. The only development is that we are now fleeing the base, see Kokonillys summary on BA:TNG.
This should link to the page.
What fun!BOLD
italic
How do you do the strike-through?
Whaaah? Why did it strike everything?
49-51: You might want to go to the HTML thread, which I’m too lazy to link to….
40– Oh dear. I should be normal? That’s going to be difficult for me. . .
49) Did you forget to end the strike after “what fun” ?
52) Venderval posted a link on 44 for HTML and typographic practice. I agree with RoseQuartz- this thread is more for basic Q & A.
53) You’ll see that Mbers definition of “normal” has nothing to do with that of the rest of the world. Our GAPA Mr Coontz posted this quote at the end of the HG2MB, when sanity went the way of the dodo, to describe it:
“But I don’t want to go among mad people,†Alice remarked.
“Oh, you can’t help that,†said the Cat: “we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.â€
“How do you know I’m mad?†said Alice.
“You must be,†said the Cat, “or you wouldn’t have come here.â€
–Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll
Hi people!
Umm..
I’m bluellama.
55–Hi bluellama! Welcome to the blog.
If you have any questions, feel free to post them here, and we will do our best to answer them. In the mean time, make yourself at home, and have another pie.

I’m waiting for someone who should post with a Dobby related name…
Yes Luna, Dobby.
Welcome, bluellama!
*pies*
Feel at home here, and have another pie!
Greetings, bluellama! *pies with platypus pies*
Random question: When does one lose their “neophyte” status?
I think after a month or so… or whenever they fit in.
60- It’s different for everyone… Usually, you stop being a ‘phyte when you have been here for at least 3 months and have posted often.
See post 40 for things not to do if you want to lose your neophyte status.
when you feel that you are worthy of dropping the name. Or that’s how it was when I was a neyopyte. Which I still can’t spell. Lemmie check *checks* Neophyte! yeah. But anywho. Generally it’s about a month. Some people skip the whole neophyte stage. Some people drag it on and on. And some people(me I guess) have to come back to it becuase they left for at least a month or more and now feel totally out of it.
63- I’ve left a few times for more than two months.
I still feel kind of neophyte-ish now and then, because I
feel I don’t know enough.I still don’t remember many emoticons or how to handle the HTML.
*hopes it works*
SFTDP.
How do you end the strike thingie? It worked out very badly… At least I can do it now…
I don’t eaither. Does that mean I’m still a neophyte?
62 (Daisy*chain) – Three months? That would make me still a neophyte! Maybe you stop being one when you come on this thread and throw pies instead of getting them. Although as I’d stopped being a neophyte by the time this thread was ressurected… *rambles*
Which would mean I stopped being a phyte pretty quickly.
Yeah, you really wanted to know all that. *pies all*

65- See post 44.
Surround the text you want to strike with <strike> and </strike> . You probably just forgot the closing /.
Try the HTML thread.
66- Not knowing the HTML doesn’t mean you’re a neophyte. It doesn’t mean you’re not one either. It’s just something you do or don’t know.
68- How do you write HTML without it going into effect? I suppose it’s an HTML Gnome, isn’t it?
68- Thank you very much.
(69) No, you just use Unicode commands to create the angle brackets (< for < and > for >). Then the HTML code won’t execute.
Do I fit in? Am I a ‘phyte? I just want to express my love for all MuseBloggers, who have helped me find my towel, and I didn’t know where else to post this.
72) I don’t really think of you as a -phyte anymore.
My big definition of -phytehood:
A -phyte is a new MBer. Usually I would say -phytehood lasts for 1-2 months. MBers define you as a -phyte when they don’t know you yet. Everyone has a distinctive way of posting (I’m not talking about eccentric spelling here), except during the -phytes stage when you try to
a) fit in
b) stand out
c) be crazy
all at the same time. The only exception so far is R101, who makes a point of posting like a -phyte the whole time. Once you stop worrying about how to post and it sort of comes naturally, you’re no longer a -phyte. Sometimes, when there are lots of new MBers, -phytehood is over soon since the others are more -phytish then you. SBF came at the tail end of generation fourteen, just missing it and was the only -phyte for a long time.
People I consider as -phytes:
Jakob Wonkychair
Silver Lining
PPTBR
bluellama
R101
If you post more, you lose your -phyte status quicker. I skipped being a -phyte since I couldn’t find the thread
.
YodaSchmoda, you can’t be a -phyte, since you actually started posting a day before I did and I don’t think I’m one… Am I ?
uh, what’s a HTML code anyway? I’m new.
Small but Fierce–you have a towel?!?! Can you help me find mine??
Oh and on my game we call new people “Noobs” (which translates to “newbies”
74) The HTML codes are the little things at the bottom of the page that
you can use topost links and change your text.See posts 44 & 46
MB isn’t really a game or a simple blog; it practically has a muse-ish cultur of it’s own…
72) I never have trouble finding towels- it’s more that they turn up all damp in soggy where I don’t want them to be.
73–but you’ve been on for like, forever, haven’t you??????? I could’ve sworn you were an established blogger when I came back from my last “break” in August……..But I definitley remember YodaShmoda as being newish……kinda intermediate, really, depends on the day and the post whether I think of en as phyte or not…….
*checks who’s here* Wow, you really only started posting in October? Dang, i think I’m going mental. Huh. Perhaps it’s because you skipped posting like a ‘phyte, and just posted like an established MBer, so you bypassed the ‘phyte stage altogether…….*is so confused*
Wow, I”m just going to leave now.
Ah! I see we have a ‘phyte in need of HTML help. You came to the right place…the MuseBlog! You’ll just go crazy for this place (we’re a tad crazy ourselves) and you might just go crazy literally too, if you’re lucky. “n00b” was our classic word for a newcomer, but then newbies here started considering it an insult of sorts. So, now we call them neophytes. We can still “pwn” though. I’m eragon, a sightly geeky homeschooler with a love of Kokopelli. If you care to let out your anger, our universal cuss is “Oh, Cake!” HTML (Hypertext Mark-Up Language) is essentially a form of computer “creation”. It allows you to alter the appearance on-screen. For example, a certain command will make your text Italic, Bold, underlined and big. A HTML command is inserted between these brackets, , more commonly known as greater than, less than signs. HTML will not be effective on all forums or blogs, so if you’re thinking of making your own, the best starter kit is Blogger by Google. Its totally free and easy to set up. I have a blog too, but Mr. Coontz and the other GAPAs will zap it. (Too bad, I have a picture of Kokopelli!)
The commands are as follows:
<i> For Italic.
<u> For underlined.
<b> For bold.
<a href=”” title=””> yourlinkhere For a link. To “turn off” the HTML, do this:
</(i, b, u or a)>
I may not be clear enough, so go here.
(SFTDP) Have a Koko!
73- You didn’t skip ‘phytehood because you didn’t go to this thread. I didn’t either when I was new, but, looking back at my old posts, they seem excruciatingly newbie-like. You’re not “old” yet either, per se, but you’re not a neophyte.
74- That’s a very widespread term. Before neophytes, new people on the ‘Blog used to be called “newcomers”, simply enough, which was often shortened to “newbies” and subsequently “n00b” or “noob”. When that got out of hand, the GAPAs exercised their vocabularies and came up with “neophytes”.
77- Sure, you can use “cake” as an expletive here, but more creative forms of expressing one’s anger are more well-liked. One I came up with is “Great Barrier Reef!” Try it! It’s fun.
72-73: I think of you guys as teen-phytes (neophyte=li’l kid, normal MB-er=grownup.) Around my generation, but hey, we’re all still pretty new!
Welcome, Ford Prefect! I hope you find your towel!
73- I always thought you came on before I did. Maybe it’s because I skipped several months…
I can’t decide at the moment whether or not i’m still a ‘phyte… oh well
Welcome to the blog, neophytes!
80 – Of course, I usually end up confusing the teen-phytes with the neophytes anyways, so…
-proud oldbie :D-
82- I’d probably say so, but I haven’t seen you post much.
80- So what are oldbies? I’d say that we’re on the fringe of elderly, seeing as we, as a possibly gross generalization, can get cranky at times. “Get off my lawn, you stupid kids!”
I think of ‘oldbies’ as established MBers. They’ve been here for a while, post often so their names are familiar, and they answer neophytes’ questions!
Am still I a neophyte? Or somewhere in between?
*does not consider self ‘oldbie’*
84) Don´t be so hard on yourself ! I think of oldbies as specialized MBers who´ve been here I while. I think I´ll consider myself a “juppie” (spelling ??)
Hmm, i’m probably a “teen-phyte.” Greetings, all neophytes!
I am new hear, and i went to blog and everyone attacked me oh well.
88- We really don’t mean to attack you, it’s just… it gets a bit annoying when someone posts 4 times in a row. If you really must post more than once, (to correct something or add to your previous comment), try to limit yourself to two posts and say ‘SFTDP’ {Sorry For The Double Post}.
88 – We really don’t mean to attack you. Honestly. Like Daisy said, we find it irritating when people posts multiple times in a row, as I assume you did. We also tend to be irritated if proper grammar/spelling/capitalization is not used, and one should try to limit their multiple posts.
In other related news, welcome!
88– Don’t feel bad. I’m a neophyte, too (apparently), and it takes a while to get used to everything. But do as Daisy and Kokonilly advised and use correct grammar, spelling and punctuation. It will make everyone a lot happier!
88- Whoever you are, whatever you did, and however we attacked you, please feel welcome!
I’m sure no one meant to attack you.
85- No, I’d say you’re well-established now. *smiles smugly for oldbie-ness* But you’re correct in that you’re not an oldbie.
86- What’s a “juppie”? Are you combining “juvenile” and “newbie”? Interesting if true.
91- *ponders* I believe you’re nearing the end of your neophyte stage, so have hope.
88- I know you’re thinking of my posts to you, and I apologize for sounding rude or mean. I really do only mean the best for you.
Huh. I know I’m not a neophyte, after being here for ten months (and skipping alot in the middle
) But I don’t think I’m an oldbie…
91- Silver Lining, I must congratulate you in nearing the end of neophyte-ness! (unless you want to be a neophyte forever or something, like R101).
94- No, not yet. Though I must say the name shortening did throw me off and possibly make you seem newer.
I’ve been thinking: exactly what constitutes an oldbie? I suppose that most of the people whom I consider to be oldbies are the ones whom I have known since my early days. Then again, there are some people who are relatively new whom I consider oldbies, so I don’t think it’s a specific age. I think we have, as a whole, a certain style of posting. I think MuseBlog is simply natural to us now, and our typing reflects that. I, for one, now couldn’t imagine my life without MuseBlog. I realize I’ve only been on here for about 2 and a quarter years, but it seems like much, much longer. There was a time a while ago where I didn’t go on MuseBlog for a good month, but doing that now would be impossible. And now I’m just rambling on, aren’t I? Anyway, I believe that there are three distinct levels of MuseBloggers: neophyte, normal, and oldbie. Where the boundaries lie I cannot say for sure, but they’re there.
Then of course, there are the Ancients, the MBers of yore, of a different era. The GABOOMBA posters. I wish I had heard about this site earlier so I could have joined them.
This post was a tad off-topic, but I think this thread is the best place for it.
Hello, new Bloggers! *pies*

That enough Pies for you? There’s plenty more where that came from, except I ate them. *beams*
95 – Being moderately recent here myself (six months in April), I’d say that I think of as oldbies anyone who was here when I got here, posts regularly, and seems to grasp well the style of post commanded by Museblog. In other words, my definition of oldbie is much the same as yours, except for that I would put myself outside of rather than within that group.
Coolness! I’m reaching the end of my neophyte stage!! *does happy dance*
95: Eh. I can’t wait till summer. Then I can get addicted again.
A Message to all Neophytes:
You have entered a place…
Where sanity, common sense, and normal things have no meaning…
You have entered…
THE MUSEBLOG ZONE!
ooO|Ooo
Have fun! *pies*
SFTDP.
98: A lot of people have different ideas about ending your neophyte stage. The most popular is after one month of regular posting. The second is when you stop considering yourself one. Mine is when people who aren’t that old stop considering you one. That automatically ends when you get to your blogiversery. Have fun!
I am, I think, an oldbie, and have been here since 2006, though I left for a bit to wallow in my stupidity, returned once, then came to stay in Jan. 2008-ish. (I remember because I remember ‘hot soup’ as the random thread.)
We GAPAs believe that all MuseBloggers are full-fledged parts of the blog — always have been, always will be — the only difference is that some of them don’t know it yet. We don’t recognize any other labeling criteria.
This has become a “Discuss what type of Museblogger you are Thread,” but there’s nothing wrong that, so to stay on topic… I’m definitely still a neophyte. My friend(Daisy*Chain) always is talking about Muse stuff that I don’t know about….
And I don’t think we need to know when we stop becoming neophytes. We first come here and get pied, and then we are a member, so we just blend in to the society of MuseBlog!(No you don’t have to “blend in,” but I don’t know if anyone should stick out when they’re new…)
102- Hm. Been reading Plato lately? That sounds like his theory of knowledge–we already know everything that we’ll ever know, but we just remember it as we go along. You’ve just applied it to MuseBlog.
97- Well, seeing as you are not me, that would make sense.
101- Yep. You’re an oldbie.
Hi! I’m Koppar. (That’s Swedish for “copper”. I’m a redhead.)
(103) Actually, that is not the proper use of this thread, which is to welcome new arrivals and answer their questions. If you are not doing one of those two things, please take your comments elsewhere. Expect any other comments to be zapped.
105- Welcome to the magical world of MuseBlog!! .

Some tips:
– Try not to multiple post (if you really must, be sure to say SFTDP {Sorry For The Double Post}
– Use proper spelling/grammar/punctuation (but you’ve got that down.)
– Have fun!!!
To stay on topic… Welcome, Koppar!
I hope you like it here. Welcome to MuseBlog!

To the MBer whose posts I zapped (and will keep zapping if they are not precisely on topic): please read comment 106.
To all: please don’t give advice that isn’t asked for. This thread is for welcoming, not patrolling the gates.
Note that any further comments about whether someone is or is not still a newoldanytimebieofanysort will be zapped regardless. No time right now to fiddle with selective snipping.
Darn. My posts were all zapped. Well, welcome Koppar!

*splat*
There’s your welcome pies. It’s just something we do here. *big grin*
HELLO NEW PEOPLE
I don’t think I’ve come here enough, I should be more welcoming. Soon I *will* turn into one of the cranky old men yelling to GET OFF MY LAWN YOU NINCOMPOOPS.
The apparent change in gender that goes with that is a bit startling. I think I like being a girl, except for the bit’s I don’t.
Now that I have successfully confused everyone present, hello neophytes! Specifically Ford Prefect, nolagirl7, iamacutie29, and Koppar! And all the other names on this thread I do not recognize although that may be due to my not being on much, so if any of you have actually been here for a while and I haven’t noticed I appologize.
I’ve been on MB for quite a while although I don’t post as often now, so if you have any questions you want to ask, go ahead.
Have a plate of warm choklit chip cookies now, and some milk.
Comfy? Enjoying yourself?
*Stuffs faces into key-lime pies* Sorry but that is customary. Welcome to Museblog! *hands towels* (hold on to those, they’re useful).
I’m sorry, Lady B.
Hello, Koppar!
Welcome, Koppar! I like your name…….You say it’s Swedish for copper….Are you Swedish or do you speak Swedish?
Personally, I am horrible with languages.
I hope you find the ‘blog to your liking!
113- I’m part Swedish on my dad’s side.
I used an online translator. It took forever to come up with a good name. I’m glad you like it.
If I’m trying to get italics, do I put a space between the “” and the word(s)?
114–That’s cool.
As for the italics, no space is necessary between the <i> and the text you want italicized, nor between the text and the closing HTML (</i>).
Also, as you probably figured out, when you type the angle brackets using the corresponding key on your keyboard, they don’t show up but convert straight to the HTML. If you want them to be visible, you can use the “code” & lt ; (w/o spaces) and & gt ;
Hi, Koppar! Your name is very nice. I like it. Prepare for pies!

Enjoy your stay at MuseBlog!
Hi. I’ve been here on and off under several names, all of which I’ve forgotten. Jade and I practically live together, and I know Glasseh, Potato Chip, Ebeth and some of the others on other internet mediums… But I figured I should re-introduce myself again anyways. So erm… yeah. Hullo.
Greetings, lee and koppar!

117- Hi, Lee. Long time no… talk? Haven’t technically seen you in a few days. I think you used to be schoon and… before that I don’t remember. *pies*
Lee was shcoon, Galadriel Weasley, and whiteraven (first post: July 23, 2006).
Hi! I’m Goldendoodle! I have a dog that’s a goldendoodle, an he’s just a total goofball and is a very –um… enthusiastic, yeah, that’s the word, dog. This is the first time I’ve ever been part of a thread, and I feel very welcome here already.
I have no clue what that was, I just used one of the HTML’s allowed and am just having a very awesome time.oh, whoops, that was a strikethrough effect. haha
Welcome, Goldendoodle!
It is wonderful that you already feel that you belong. I am… err… CTN, *coughs* Anyways, I hope you enjoy it here, and fit in. I see that you are already figuring out the HTML. I took quite a while… *embarrassed cough*

135)
Welcome to the blog ! Don’t be intimidated- have fun
Greetings, Goldendoodle and Koko-is-From-Arizona!!!!!!!
Hello, Koko and Goldendoodle!

Alright, so I have two questions:
1) The plot for world domination is going to be done using pies, right?
2) I’m confused about the little pink bunnies everywhere (wait, that was more of a statement, let me rephrase) What are the little pink bunnies everywhere symbolizing or doing?
139- well, sometime before I began subscribing, there was a scandal involving cats and dogs and the muse mail page. everyone wanted an issue/article on cats or dogs and the editors got annoyed and hired the HPBs to block out all mentions of cats or dogs. On the blog here, they are more a symbol of evil, trying to take over the world.
And welcome Koko-is-from-arizona!!

139- they started taking over everything… it was horrible…
Welcome! Glad to see some new faces!
139 (and referring to 140 and 141)- The HPBs were the editors’ way of censoring any fan mail regarding cats and dogs. First, Muse had, after many requests, an issue devoted to cats. This made the dog lovers very angry. They demanded a dog issue, which was granted. However, this rivalry more or less dominated the Muse Mail pages for a while, so any reference to cats or dogs was censored with a row of hot pink
s. Now that things have cooled down, the Hot Pink Bunnies, or HPBs, are absent from the magazine. However, you can still find them here on MuseBlog. Many MBers say that they are an evil force bent on taking over the world, while others say they are a necessary part of Mostly Harmless, which is MuseBlog’s plan to more or less take over the world. Don’t worry about not knowing that already; I’ve been subscribing for five years and MuseBlogging for two years and a handful of months.
135- Welcome!
Welcome, Koko-is-From-Arizona!
Please don’t be shy or intimidated or anything like that! Have lots and lots of pie! And fun! Remember, we’re all-
*runs screaming*
*comes back*
And about the HPBs, they may look cute, but they are evil. I don’t know much about HPBs on the magazine, though.
*runs away screaming again*
143- The hot pink bunnies are for censoring cat vs dog fights.
Thanks for the welcome!
126. Haha wow that is quite some time ago now that you mention it.
I’m not sure where i’m supposed to post this, but I’m grounded from the computer (until the end of the school year!) so I may not reply much… I must say, this is what always happens and is why I tend to forget who I’ve previously been, and not keep up with posts. Le sigh.
I’ve been on here before sometime… so uh… yeah but I’ll only be popping in from time to time because I’ve got the most evil teacher…
I’m a bit confuzzled about what’s happened and there are so many new people…
*headdesk* *tries to remember a username* Uh…….
Maybe I shouldn’t be here ’cause I’m not so much a neophyte…
Or maybe…
Wow I trail off a lot.
146) Well, welcome anyway

Hello? i am home from school… my middle school is boycotting cuz this special needs kid brought a couple guns to school and the admin. is letting him come back. anyway… HI!!!! ok i know Koko is into pies. is that why you throw them? cuz i am so confuzzled. what do you do on here? are there any special rules besides the HG2MB? is anyone going to answer my questions? do i ask too many? SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!!!! sorry…i’m impatient…and a little hyper today. maybe it’s because i haven’t eaten at all today. see ya.
Question: What in the world does ‘SFTDP’ mean? Shotguns Fire Ten Dentists’ PhDs? Slow Frogs Taste Dry Poop? I’m clueless.
149- I had to figure that one out for myself, but it stands for Sorry For The Double Post.
You could have checked the HG2MB.
yeah i was wondering that too.
I’ve changed my name. (I posted it here because I still consider myself a neophyte)
The Old King’s Bard, Eli, Romley… Welcome!
148- Yes, I am going to try to answer your questions. No, you do not ask too many questions. I don’t know about the pies… I think so though. Did you check the Rules yet? Those are the rules. I think. *is confuzzled* What did I just try to explain?
Welcome, Eli!
148) It depends on what you consider as rules… The HG2MB mentions all the important ones, but of course there are little things that are considered polite such as not using chatspeak or bleon normal threads toprevent confusion… Just try it out and, when in doubt, ask others.
