Hi. I haven’t been here in a while. I’ve been busy, things going on. In just under a week I’m going to go to a regional tournament for speech and debate. I’m really excited about it, since all my friends are going to be there, and I’m going to have all sorts of time to hang out with them. We’re going to have so much fun. We’re planning a mutiny, where all of us are going to go out for pizza while everyone else is at the banquet that we’re supposed to go to (for no real reason). I’m looking forward to hanging out with my guy friends I don’t get to talk to a whole lot, not having to really worry about my speeches (I totally do NOT care how I do at this thing, I’m just happy I made it to it). So. That’s the news.

I know I haven’t been around here much. It’s just gotten so hard to keep up with MB since all the newbies started flooding in, and I don’t have a whole lot of time to read all the comments and such. Plus with speech and debate tournaments, friends going through a lot, and trips with my family, I don’t have much spare time. My Story
Once upon a time there was a bug called Humpfrey. Actually his real name was dsgflsaejtcngwehcrhw but no one can say that, so we will just call him Humpfrey. Anyway one day Humpfry decided to talk a walk. He was just going to walk to the compost pile and back, but he got distracted. *:gasp:* This was not a very big suprise seeing as he had ADHD and couldn’t keep foucused on alot of things at once.
Humpfrey had sniffed fka.jfhoudsbhg or George as we’ll call him. George was his best friend. Humpfrey and George were always getting in trouble. Today George was going to the bathroom dranage place. Aka the sewge pipe. Humpfrey got really excited when he heard about this. So off he went.

I just had to watch “Anne of Green Gables”. I act out a scene from that book for competition, and my mom wanted me to watch the movie to “get ideas”. I almost told her I wasn’t supposed to watch it, because everyone says you shouldn’t watch the movie version of the book you’re interpreting (because you want to be as original as possible). Plus, Megan Follows did Anne completely differently than I’m doing her. But, hey, I wanted to watch the movie, and I didn’t have to do school while I was watching it, so it wasn’t a total loss.

And then Bo threw up in my hair on the bus ride home. But I got to drink an entire bottle of Ting’s, so it was all right. Max asked for a swig of said soda. I gave it to him. I am a protestrant, mainstream, and accepting of other religions.I don’t like to broadcast my faith, as there are so many assumptions made about Christians (Intolerant, Republican, conservative,etc. etc.) My father ws raised a catholic and my mother the same as me. My faith is actually fairly recent in my family, about 300 years, I would suppose, because my ancestors came over(on my mom’s side) not as fleeing from religious persecution, but as godless pirates pirating those who fled from religious persecution. Then we settled down and acted respectable, eventually marrying into Ben franklin’s family.

It irritates me when people treat The Da Vinci Code like it was based on fact. It was a fictional book written because the author thought it would make a good story.
Chronicles of Narnia are great for discussion… I’m not a huge fan mysefl, but that was because the whole allegory was reveiled to me (in a kind of negative way) before I actually read them.

I think we should be able to talk about the books, but not the religious ramifications. I have no clue as to what religion I’d like to belong to. So far I’ve been doubting the existence of a higher being (hey, if something set humans on the earth, how intelligent can it be?) but this weekend there was a big step in my believing: God or somebody made it so there was perfect weather for my birthday party. I’ve been researching Sikhism because my friend is one, and it looks pretty cool.

Hi. I haven’t been here in a while. I’ve been busy, things going on. In just under a week I’m going to go to a regional tournament for speech and debate. I’m really excited about it, since all my friends are going to be there, and I’m going to have all sorts of time to hang out with them. We’re going to have so much fun. We’re planning a mutiny, where all of us are going to go out for pizza while everyone else is at the banquet that we’re supposed to go to (for no real reason). I’m looking forward to hanging out with my guy friends I don’t get to talk to a whole lot, not having to really worry about my speeches (I totally do NOT care how I do at this thing, I’m just happy I made it to it). So. That’s the news.

Once upon a time there was a bug called Humpfrey. Actually his real name was dsgflsaejtcngwehcrhw but no one can say that, so we will just call him Humpfrey. Anyway one day Humpfry decided to talk a walk. He was just going to walk to the compost pile and back, but he got distracted. *:gasp:* This was not a very big suprise seeing as he had ADHD and couldn’t keep foucused on alot of things at once.
Humpfrey had sniffed fka.jfhoudsbhg or George as we’ll call him. George was his best friend. Humpfrey and George were always getting in trouble. Today George was going to the bathroom dranage place. Aka the sewge pipe. Humpfrey got really excited when he heard about this. So off he went.

I just had to watch “Anne of Green Gables”. I act out a scene from that book for competition, and my mom wanted me to watch the movie to “get ideas”. I almost told her I wasn’t supposed to watch it, because everyone says you shouldn’t watch the movie version of the book you’re interpreting (because you want to be as original as possible). Plus, Megan Follows did Anne completely differently than I’m doing her. But, hey, I wanted to watch the movie, and I didn’t have to do school while I was watching it, so it wasn’t a total loss.
oh, and i usually have safety pins, too. and my iPod.

Pirates of the Caribean: Dead Man’s Chest comes out on 7/7/06, my birth day. im gonna be in kalifornia then *cheers* and quinabethsue isn’t! *double cheers*. ive also got pirates of the caribean piano moosic, to. my screen changes every 5 seconds. 8th graders have to bring pictures of them 5yrs or younger for the end of skool slide show. we have exactly 32 more skool days until skool is out, and on june 1 i go to lagoon w/ my skool (IF i got honor roll this quarter – i didn’t last time and u need three quarters w/ honor roll). i went to salt lake this weekend.
i never go anywhere without a book. if i go somewhere without a book, i get worried that i’ll need it. there are certain books i always bring with me when i go on vacation. i always bring a book to therapy and sit with it open while i talk to the guy. if im miffed, i read it.

MuseBloggers have discussed religion several times in the “Hot Topics” threads. So far people have been polite and mutually respectful. We have all kinds here: Protestants (both mainstream and evangelical), Catholics, Jews, at least one Muslim, some Buddhist-sympathizers, agnostics, atheists, and probably some pantheists and who knows what else. I’m not worried; very few topics have proven “too hot to handle.”
Maybe we should have another Hot Topics thread…

Just so people know:
I am a protestrant, mainstream, and accepting of other religions.I don’t like to broadcast my faith, as there are so many assumptions made about Christians (Intolerant, Republican, conservative,etc. etc.) My father ws raised a catholic and my mother the same as me. My faith is actually fairly recent in my family, about 300 years, I would suppose, because my ancestors came over(on my mom’s side) not as fleeing from religious persecution, but as godless pirates pirating those who fled from religious persecution. Then we settled down and acted respectable, eventually marrying into Ben franklin’s family.

It irritates me when people treat The Da Vinci Code like it was based on fact. It was a fictional book written because the author thought it would make a good story.
Chronicles of Narnia are great for discussion… I’m not a huge fan mysefl, but that was because the whole allegory was reveiled to me (in a kind of negative way) before I actually read them.
I feel ill. Yesterday I drank 5 cups of tea, so I didnt fall asleep until 12:30 last night, and I had to get up at 5:50 to get ready for school. I had a horrible headache all day long, and it was hot. And I’m so tired of the kids at my school.

I think we should be able to talk about the books, but not the religious ramifications. I have no clue as to what religion I’d like to belong to. So far I’ve been doubting the existence of a higher being (hey, if something set humans on the earth, how intelligent can it be?) but this weekend there was a big step in my believing: God or somebody made it so there was perfect weather for my birthday party. I’ve been researching Sikhism because my friend is one, and it looks pretty cool.
