I have read all of the Lemony Snicket books, but I never buy them. I get them from the library, because I read them so quickly, and it really isn’t worth the 11 dollars (or however much they cost) to buy them.

87- I don’t like the doing stuff part of gym class, and I lack all skill at physical pursuits, but I like the part of gym that’s standing around waiting for stuff to happen talking with my friends about unrelated, sometimes random, things. And I like skipping. It annoys people. A history of my skipping in gym: During the soccer unit, I remember quite vividly, I started skipping. I kept getting hit with soccer balls. Mark said it was a result of my skipping. I said it was only twice in a game and it was coincidence. Brian said, later that day (going to math), that if I continued to skip he would try to hit me with the soccer ball. We didn’t play soccer after that, though, so there was no chance to test this. Once when we played dodgeball because it was raining, Kelly agreed not to skip at all and count the times she got out, and I skipped exclusively and got out many less times than her. Once, when we all had to run a mile, I skipped instead. It took me 14 minutes, but I wouldn’t have done better anyway, and Mark’s comment afterwards was worth it. “When I suggested it, I didn’t think you’d actually do it!” I still occasionally lapse into skipping when I’m happy, but I decided not to do it too often just to be provocative after the hundredth time of hearing “Please, Annie, don’t.” So there it is. Why I chose that name. Enjoy.
