Long post a’hoy!

So.

I’m never very good with introduction posts, which’ll probably turn out to be a pain because by the time I’ve finished writing this I will probably: a) have divulged exceedingly personal information by accident that will then haunt me for the rest of my life; b) embarrassed myself completely; c) been unable to spell “embarrassed;” and d) delete the entirety of this post multiple times to see if it will look slightly better without text in it.

Let’s try and avoid a self-fulfilling prophecy naos! :D

Anyways, I’m Kite, and I’m actually quite certain that I’ve been on here before, only that I can’t remember my previous name. I’m also not sure if I want to remember said name, because when being young (oh wait, I still am–) I have a tendency for stupid names. :3 General information about me, then: I’m female, fifteen and in high school, a Conventions Nazi (except in situations where I purposely misspell words), obsessed with penguins/MUDing/role-playing/writing/Muse, and an avid user of run-on sentences. My hobbies include complaining, sleeping, eating, breathing, and wandering aimlessly about the Internet, supplemented with stalking people on Facebook and (occasionally) doing art. My favorite colors are white, black, and orange, and my favorite punctuation mark is probably the interrobang. I say probably because I had to look it up to remember what the name was. :3

Kite also constantly refers to herself in third person.

Also, I tend to abuse the stuffing about of emoticons and smileys, just because my sentences tend to feel naked without them. And I feel mean if my comments don’t have :)’s after them. (Personal aesthetics, though, dislike the little round-face thingys that they tend to turn into. I want my smiley faces to look like colons and parentheses. D:)

Lastly, personal aesthetics also dislike that my double-spaced paragraphs fail to show up on preview. But I should stop complaining now.

Well! Several paragraphs of horrible writing (eek! no transitions!) later, I seem to have finally run out of things to say about myself. Feel free to ask questions so that I can feel important and loved, or I will melt into a pile of wailing depressed goo. <3

Welcome! I believe you’ll fit right [back] in.

As a sidenote, you can create smiley faces with colons that don’t turn into pictures if you type : instead of just :. For instance, this: :) doesn’t turn into this: :). If you want to use a semicolon instead of a colon, type this: ;. If you need anything else, just ask.

Hello, I’m new. I’ve been getting Muse for a while now, but I couldn’t FIND THE BLOG. I’m not very good with computers, which is why I finally gave up. I have found it now, however, and will not get lost again, because I have added MuseBlog to my favorites. Anyway, introduction….
I am female, 11 (almost 12), and I live in Maine. I like frogs, Japan, and Final Fantasy 10. I also enjoy going on rants about enviromental issues. I also like books, Muse (well, duh!) , and my dogs (and cat.) I play the guitar(not very well) and the clarinet. I also tend to overuse parentheses. Umm… well… Yeah, that’s about it. Oh, and I also looove NINJA.

Welcome! The reason you couldn’t find the blog is probably because you were searching for it on Google. The GAPAs made it invisible to Google because we’ve had serious problems with Spammers before, once taking the blog offline for nearly a month, I believe. This way, it’s practically impossible to find unless you know it’s there. (Unfortunately, it’s not invisible to lowly search engines such as Yahoo, so if you’re absolutely desperate and are able to force yourself to sink to the level of using Yahoo, that’s an option. If you have to, you can always find it via Yahoo. Fortunately, the URL is Museblog.com, which is very easy to remember, and an alternate url (musefanpage.com) can be found at the bottom of the Q&A page, which Robert Coontz and Rosanne Spector (GAPAs, or Great And Powerful Administrators of MuseBlog) both write for.
Sorry for the lengthy explanation. Anyway, it seems that you’ve adapted to MuseBlog culture fairly quickly, using punctuation, spelling, capitalization, etc. You’ll fit in quickly here! :)

16. Bibliophile says:

Hello! I’m Bibliophile (obviously, and I’m guessing it’s also obvious that that’s a pseudonym, so I don’t need to tell you, and won’t, though that was going to be my next sentence, with changes). I’m an 11-year-old girl (although I turn 12 on the 16th). I’ve been looking around a bit here before posting (I hardly ever do anything without researching it first a bit, to be honest–though I never go too overboard–or at least contemplating it, so I had to at least read the HG2MB, and the rules, and this page, and probably something else I’ve now forgotten, because I’ve a horrible memory. I’m very absent-minded.), although I’m not entirely sure how often I’ll post. Usually, if I’m to do something like this, I post a comment, and then see how much I enjoy it afterward, and whether I want to do it more. *glances at previous sentence* But who am I to say ‘usually?!’ I sound like I post on many online forums. I don’t; just the Cricket Chatterbox (under a different name), and now here, too. Anyway, I was going to say that since I haven’t yet decided how often I’ll post, I could immediately begin posting every hour, or never again. I’ll see.
My interests include reading (obviously), biology (Tardigrades and tenrecs and pangolins and mustelids! Yay! …Sadly, my computer’s spellchecker didn’t register any of that. I wonder why… ;) Not that I’d need spell-check anyway, but many of my computer keys stick, and I don’t like searching for typos in my posts; like I said, I’m.), Muse (When will I stop posting obvious things?), writing, art (that involves oil pastels, my favorite utensil—to use, that is, not to look at; I don’t have a favorite art utensil to—look at? Did I just say what I think I said? Well, I think you know what I mean, so I won’t go to the trouble of changing it, because I, being lazy, have other things to do with my time.), the Chatterbox long sentences (obvious by now, I’m sure), and hopefully this site in the future if I like it enough. Oh, and words. I’m a hippopotomonstrosesquipedalian (which is self-evident), and, if this post is anything to go by, probably stating the obvious as well. Is it possible to have an obsession without even knowing it? I think I might. Anyway…
Welcome, other neophytes! That was a long post….

To navigate? Well, this is a great place to start! To find a thread, see the dropdown menu on the right-hand side? You can click on it and it’ll tell you some subjects the threads are organized by, such as Life, Chess, and Muse Academy. The place that’s always the most frequented is the Monthly Random Thread, which is currently what’s called Pleistocene Dreams but will probably be something else by tomorrow. In fact, the whole Currently Popular menu is a really fantastic place to find threads in which talk to Musers. Luck!
