Well, I actually could have got on yestiddy, mais i forgot about the computers in the lobby. Last year the gapas did some manga thing to the blog, right? i was actuallly camping last year. I forgot that last night was a full moon!!! All those in California (or just anyone west of Utah) who the sun hasn’t risen and the moon hasn’t set, go get pictures of it before it sets!!! It was GORGEOUS!!!! I saw it as it set, all big and yellow with a perfect blue sky (well, at my place) and I RAN for the camera, and the BATTERIES WERE ALL USED UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I just sat there watching it set.

It’s because your Web browser is reading the old MuseBlog image file stored on your computer instead of the new image file stored on our Web host’s server. You can fix that by clearing the browser’s cache. Doing that is different for every browser. Some have the command clearly visible on a drop-down menu; others bury it under “options” somewhere. Clear your cache, refresh your browser, and you’ll see the bunnies.

How are you? I’m more or less dead, thanks. Well, I suppose you may have guessed due to my absence from the blog for the last eternity.
It’s the end of the quarter, and I just had a jolly time zarking up my GPA. English is the only thing saving me now. I adore my English teacher beyond all belief. And that’s not just because she says that my essays/papers are “some of the best…[she’s]…ever read.” It’s because she gives the easiest vocab tests that are giving me a huge 100 quiz grade.
I was working on my take-home AP Chem exam yesterday with that guy I mentioned on the R/R thread. It totally fragged my brain, to say the least. Our lovely teacher makes take-homes harder by an intense degree. And I missed about half of the material on it, thanks to the PSSAs. Luckily, he’s a chem-genius and helped me through those parts. *sigh of relief*
Then, when we were done, he decided that I needed to work on my art project [due tomorrow, still incomplete] and literally picked me up and dropped me in front of it. Which really freaked me out. I think I was somewhere between shock and moaning “omgomgdon’tdropmeomgomglemmedown!” Yeah, good times. I was just surprised he was able to carry me so effortlessly. I’m skinny, I know, but he’s not much bigger.
Alas.
Two days of school and then *SpriNg BreAk* and its *ShiNy* glory and wonder.
And Thursday is the fantastical trip to the King Tut exhibit in Philly. Ah, the love. I don’t care if he’s not there, I’m still going to be, in a word, SQUEE. And we’re going to the planetarium, too. Joy, joy, joy!

90-The 40s had a lot of swing, big band, and similar music. I recommend looking at Frank Sinatra, the Andrews Sisters, and Benny Goodman + His orchestra. You could also look up the Billboard Chart Hits for that era. The most interesting things about 40s music would be that it showed the first appearance of black artists, the decline in popularity of jazz, and it also provided the springboard for rock and roll (which only came around in the 50s). Very good music.

yes. i left again. i am back again. this time i might stay a while.
we watched this movie about cloning in bio today and yesterday. it’s kind of creepy, like, they took this old cow and regrew it a whole new immune system. if this works then in theory humans could be rendered immortal. isnt that just a little scary? i do think it has some good points, too, like how soon they will be able to regrow cloned organs for people who need transplants and the organs will never be rejected because they are genetically identical.

My break is from tomorrow through Monday. Heh, same as the Panda’s! Oh, definition: Cadbury eggs: they are shaped like an egg, but a little smaller (I think), the outside shell is made of chocolate, and the inside is filled with a sweet thick cream or sometimes caramel. I think they’re great! Oh, and they come wrapped individually in foil.

Can I say somthing random? Yesterday we “built” a bookcase (i. e. screwed together an ikea one) for my room. It really helped get all of my stuff off of the floor. Most of the stuff was books, but on the top shelf I have put my stuffed-animal pandas. That left me a little more room in my bed for ME, as the animals are starting to take over the pillow. Anyway, I thought I would point that out in case any of you are looking for advice on how to combat clutter. Anybody else want to give suggestions?

HOLY AMUN-RA! Tut exhibit yesterday. My brain is still in the 18th Dynasty. Yay for the Science Club. I wore Egyptian-style eyeliner. -^_^-
Got eyeliner on my cousin. Screwed it up the first time, because he had to cry and twitch *rolls eyes* but it was almost perfect the second time. Then my best friend told him that he looked like a drag queen, so he got all angsty and took it off *pouts* My other friend ran away shortly thereafter, and only two of us had the eyeliner. -T_T-
I got through the other parts of the Franklin Institute in 1.5 hours. I also got dragged through the giant model of the heart, which was a bit annoying… Then I spent a little over 1.5 hours in the Tut exhibit, because it was overly mind-blowing. Would’ve been better if the mummy, mask, and sarcophagus were there, but… Still, love, pure love ♥♥♥
The bus ride up was fun. I don’t think I’ve ever been that happy at 0645. I never sleep on buses, so my best friend and I shared my iPod, and sang “Walk Like An Egyptian” far too loudly, among other songs… She and I are cool like that. Then we discussed Tut very loudly. Well, it seemed loud, anyway, as almost everyone else was catching some Zs.
Then, it was into the museum. Where we just meandered for a while, going through all the exhibits and stuff.
Then we went to a show in the planetarium, which was basically a circular room with a dome-shaped screen on the top. It being a geeky field trip, I and another kid were shouting out various space battles from sci-fi movies that would’ve looked oh-so-amazing on that screen. Then my best friend mixed up ST and SW, resulting in that classic debate. Lovely times, though.
Lol, the ST/SW thing was me going “Star Trek! It’s good for you!” and my friend/boyfriend/whateverheis going “Don’t listen to her! Star Wars is better!” and my cousin agreeing with me and everyone else being generally confused. So I clamped my hand over f/b/w’s mouth. That worked. And spent the next ten or so minutes poking him in the shoulder.
Then it was finally over.
Sang “Space Oddity” by Bowie, and hummed the TNG theme all through the spacey parts of the Institute. I pwn hard like that.
Eventually, it was time for the exalted King Tutankhamen exhibit. Where we had to wait in line again, and where I poke-tortured f/b/w out of boredom, while our one friend held his hands back, so I wouldn’t get poked back. lol.
Then we got into the displays, and I was utterly silenced by…everything. It’s one thing seeing this stuff in pictures, but in person, it’s mind-blowing. I felt so fresh, and this stuff was so old, from an ancient culture established so long ago. Just purely awesome. Spent ages at each artifact. Can’t think of any other words for it…

Got the commemorative Tut t-shirt! Yay, official exhibit t-shirts! Even though there weren’t any in black left, and I had to settle for blue…
And despite the numerous little kids that made navigating through the museum so difficult.
But I was, overall, in a SQUEE mood yesterday.
Okay, at the end I was getting cranky, and answering my numerous phone calls in an overly, falsely cheery, “Hello! I hate you!” Luckily, my friends know I’m not serious when I say that. I get really snarky when in large crowds for extended amounts of time.
But I was loopy again on the bus. My lovely best friend decided to switch her seat with my f/b/w. Who decided that it was time for a bit of revenge and poked me for about ten minutes until his arm got tired. Then we had fun with my iPod for the most part.
Then he decided we should go get dinner or something after we got back, so we got Chinese food and the waiter looked like an older version of Spock. lol. And he made vegetarian jokes for about ten-fifteen minutes straight. Stupid boy. I kicked him under the table. Eventually:
him: so, is there any chance I can break you of your vegetarian ways?
me: *glares* is there any chance I can instill vegetarianism in you?
him: *shuts up and goes back to his warm dead bird* …it seems we have a conflict of interest.
Meh. Then he tried to get me to be less annoyed at him by telling me “the Egyptian look really works for you.” Indeed. -_-
Then he decided to stay at my house after he brought me back there. Where we watched the beginning of a movie, because I was half-asleep, from getting none during school, and being all active and stuff earlier that day. Loopy with the “sleepy haha’s”. At which point it was all hugs and good-byes, and I could finally collapse and S.L.E.E.P.

Speaking of which, on April 5th, Super Paper Mario for the Wii went underway. Something amazing I heard when it was first announced was that Peach and Bowser would get married (although they weren’t sure if the marriage would get thwarted or not)! I just watched the trailer, and… GASP!
The marriage is succesful! IT’S THE END OF THE UNIVERSE (Actually, in the game, the story is that since the Peach and Bowser married, an interdimensional rift opened up, and it will suck all the worlds in unless Mario stops Count Bleck)!!!!

Nice eggs! Glad to hear my picture came through! I didn’t get to color eggs this year.
At my Quaker meeting, the smallish kids color the eggs the week before, and on Easter Sunday kids my age hide the eggs in the graveyard, and the little kids get to go get them.
This year, one of my friends brought a basket of plastic eggs with candy and stuff in them, and I think the kids enjoyed getting those more than the real ones! But some of the ones he brought were shaped like bunnies or peeps, and had soap bubbles in them, and some of the kids threw those back on the ground! I think a couple of them had leaked or something.

Speaking of hair lengths, I went to the place where I get my hair cut a little while ago and I asked them to do it shoulder length (I’m a girl) and instead she does it chin length. There is about a two inch difference between shoulder and chin. The time before that I asked them to do it about an inch below shoulder and she does it in between shoulder and chin. Therefore, logic says that from now on I will always ask her to do my hair two inches longer than I actually want it, and it should come out right.
Oh, and nobody will see this post, because it is post 300. I’ll save it in a text file so I can post it on the new thread if necessary.

I resaved them as drafts. That way they won’t clutter up the blog, but you can still revisit them (if the memories aren’t too painful). Purple Panda answered a question about them over on Ask the GAPAs.

It’s because your Web browser is reading the old MuseBlog image file stored on your computer instead of the new image file stored on our Web host’s server. You can fix that by clearing the browser’s cache. Doing that is different for every browser. Some have the command clearly visible on a drop-down menu; others bury it under “options” somewhere. Clear your cache, refresh your browser, and you’ll see the bunnies.
I will assume, I hope correctly, that everyone will stop talking abut bunnies and act like their normal intelligent sleves, per Penty’s request. So no more bunnies, at least for now. Like the bonobos! Zap the bunny posts until the hype dies down. Because we want to talk like normal people, not gabber on like bunnies. Thank you.

How are you? I’m more or less dead, thanks. Well, I suppose you may have guessed due to my absence from the blog for the last eternity.
It’s the end of the quarter, and I just had a jolly time zarking up my GPA. English is the only thing saving me now. I adore my English teacher beyond all belief. And that’s not just because she says that my essays/papers are “some of the best…[she’s]…ever read.” It’s because she gives the easiest vocab tests that are giving me a huge 100 quiz grade.
I was working on my take-home AP Chem exam yesterday with that guy I mentioned on the R/R thread. It totally fragged my brain, to say the least. Our lovely teacher makes take-homes harder by an intense degree. And I missed about half of the material on it, thanks to the PSSAs. Luckily, he’s a chem-genius and helped me through those parts. *sigh of relief*
Then, when we were done, he decided that I needed to work on my art project [due tomorrow, still incomplete] and literally picked me up and dropped me in front of it. Which really freaked me out. I think I was somewhere between shock and moaning “omgomgdon’tdropmeomgomglemmedown!” Yeah, good times. I was just surprised he was able to carry me so effortlessly. I’m skinny, I know, but he’s not much bigger.
Alas.
Two days of school and then *SpriNg BreAk* and its *ShiNy* glory and wonder.

I’m going to see Meet the Robinsons tomorrow. Is it any good? I’m also going shopping for an Easter dress on Thursday. It’s supposed to be 50 on Easter though, so It won’t be much fun as all the dresses shown are strapless. I hate the cold.

90-The 40s had a lot of swing, big band, and similar music. I recommend looking at Frank Sinatra, the Andrews Sisters, and Benny Goodman + His orchestra. You could also look up the Billboard Chart Hits for that era. The most interesting things about 40s music would be that it showed the first appearance of black artists, the decline in popularity of jazz, and it also provided the springboard for rock and roll (which only came around in the 50s). Very good music.

we watched this movie about cloning in bio today and yesterday. it’s kind of creepy, like, they took this old cow and regrew it a whole new immune system. if this works then in theory humans could be rendered immortal.

I’ve been gone for a while since I’ve been in New York. Wathced the Lion King on Broadway, ate at 7-story high McDonald’s, booed at 72 Yankee fans at last count…. good times. Go Orioles.
As I am typing this, it is SNOWING. We have gotten about a half an inch in the past half hour. In my wonderful town in southern New Hampshire, where it was 70 degrees on December 1, and it is snowing.

Can I say somthing random? Yesterday we “built” a bookcase (i. e. screwed together an ikea one) for my room. It really helped get all of my stuff off of the floor. Most of the stuff was books, but on the top shelf I have put my stuffed-animal pandas. That left me a little more room in my bed for ME, as the animals are starting to take over the pillow. Anyway, I thought I would point that out in case any of you are looking for advice on how to combat clutter. Anybody else want to give suggestions?

HOLY AMUN-RA! Tut exhibit yesterday. My brain is still in the 18th Dynasty. Yay for the Science Club. I wore Egyptian-style eyeliner. -^_^-
Got eyeliner on my cousin. Screwed it up the first time, because he had to cry and twitch *rolls eyes* but it was almost perfect the second time. Then my best friend told him that he looked like a drag queen, so he got all angsty and took it off *pouts* My other friend ran away shortly thereafter, and only two of us had the eyeliner. -T_T-
I got through the other parts of the Franklin Institute in 1.5 hours. I also got dragged through the giant model of the heart, which was a bit annoying… Then I spent a little over 1.5 hours in the Tut exhibit, because it was overly mind-blowing. Would’ve been better if the mummy, mask, and sarcophagus were there, but… Still, love, pure love ♥♥♥
The bus ride up was fun. I don’t think I’ve ever been that happy at 0645. I never sleep on buses, so my best friend and I shared my iPod, and sang “Walk Like An Egyptian” far too loudly, among other songs… She and I are cool like that. Then we discussed Tut very loudly. Well, it seemed loud, anyway, as almost everyone else was catching some Zs.
Then, it was into the museum. Where we just meandered for a while, going through all the exhibits and stuff.
Then we went to a show in the planetarium, which was basically a circular room with a dome-shaped screen on the top. It being a geeky field trip, I and another kid were shouting out various space battles from sci-fi movies that would’ve looked oh-so-amazing on that screen. Then my best friend mixed up ST and SW, resulting in that classic debate. Lovely times, though.
Lol, the ST/SW thing was me going “Star Trek! It’s good for you!” and my friend/boyfriend/whateverheis going “Don’t listen to her! Star Wars is better!” and my cousin agreeing with me and everyone else being generally confused. So I clamped my hand over f/b/w’s mouth. That worked. And spent the next ten or so minutes poking him in the shoulder.
Then it was finally over.
Sang “Space Oddity” by Bowie, and hummed the TNG theme all through the spacey parts of the Institute. I pwn hard like that.
Eventually, it was time for the exalted King Tutankhamen exhibit. Where we had to wait in line again, and where I poke-tortured f/b/w out of boredom, while our one friend held his hands back, so I wouldn’t get poked back. lol.
Then we got into the displays, and I was utterly silenced by…everything. It’s one thing seeing this stuff in pictures, but in person, it’s mind-blowing. I felt so fresh, and this stuff was so old, from an ancient culture established so long ago. Just purely awesome. Spent ages at each artifact. Can’t think of any other words for it…

Got the commemorative Tut t-shirt! Yay, official exhibit t-shirts! Even though there weren’t any in black left, and I had to settle for blue…
And despite the numerous little kids that made navigating through the museum so difficult.
But I was, overall, in a SQUEE mood yesterday.
Okay, at the end I was getting cranky, and answering my numerous phone calls in an overly, falsely cheery, “Hello! I hate you!” Luckily, my friends know I’m not serious when I say that. I get really snarky when in large crowds for extended amounts of time.
But I was loopy again on the bus. My lovely best friend decided to switch her seat with my f/b/w. Who decided that it was time for a bit of revenge and poked me for about ten minutes until his arm got tired. Then we had fun with my iPod for the most part.
Then he decided we should go get dinner or something after we got back, so we got Chinese food and the waiter looked like an older version of Spock. lol. And he made vegetarian jokes for about ten-fifteen minutes straight. Stupid boy. I kicked him under the table. Eventually:
him: so, is there any chance I can break you of your vegetarian ways?
me: *glares* is there any chance I can instill vegetarianism in you?
him: *shuts up and goes back to his warm dead bird* …it seems we have a conflict of interest.
Meh. Then he tried to get me to be less annoyed at him by telling me “the Egyptian look really works for you.” Indeed. -_-
Then he decided to stay at my house after he brought me back there. Where we watched the beginning of a movie, because I was half-asleep, from getting none during school, and being all active and stuff earlier that day. Loopy with the “sleepy haha’s”. At which point it was all hugs and good-byes, and I could finally collapse and S.L.E.E.P.

I got my braces off last year. I wear glasses and, though I’d like some new ones as I got these three years ago (my perscription hasn’t changed though), I don’t really want contacts that much.
Nooooooo! Now I have people over for Easter!!! Fortunately, I;m managing to escape.
I have had glasses since the age of 6 (although I needed them when I was 4 or 5), and I will have braces until about September 2008.
My prescription is -5.00 on my glasses (aka -500 or -5). For those who do not know, that’s bad.

Nice eggs! Glad to hear my picture came through! I didn’t get to color eggs this year.
At my Quaker meeting, the smallish kids color the eggs the week before, and on Easter Sunday kids my age hide the eggs in the graveyard, and the little kids get to go get them.
This year, one of my friends brought a basket of plastic eggs with candy and stuff in them, and I think the kids enjoyed getting those more than the real ones! But some of the ones he brought were shaped like bunnies or peeps, and had soap bubbles in them, and some of the kids threw those back on the ground! I think a couple of them had leaked or something.

Speaking of hair lengths, I went to the place where I get my hair cut a little while ago and I asked them to do it shoulder length (I’m a girl) and instead she does it chin length. There is about a two inch difference between shoulder and chin. The time before that I asked them to do it about an inch below shoulder and she does it in between shoulder and chin. Therefore, logic says that from now on I will always ask her to do my hair two inches longer than I actually want it, and it should come out right.
Oh, and nobody will see this post, because it is post 300. I’ll save it in a text file so I can post it on the new thread if necessary.
