4. I’m not exactly sure what my first news event was. I’ll have to think about that and get back to you! But one of the first big political/news things I was actually really involved in was the 2000 Presidential election. I did not understand the whole political issues going on in the world, but I did know what the major candidates thought, and I helped my parents pass out flyers/pins, etc.

hmm… I don’t know. Maybe cleaning my room. It takes forever to get any of it organized and then it all becomes messy again quickly. Other chores are something speedy and quick and rather sporadic as they happen when I’m asked.
the 2000 presidential elections then 9/11 then the 2004 presidential elections were the first that I was really interested in. I was aware of the 2000 ones and knew who the cantidates were, and knew which one I wanted to win (Gore, in case you wanted to know) and was aware of the tie but I didn’t really pay that much attention to the issues. I paid attention to the issues in 2004 and in 2008 I’ll be paying a ton of attention as aaah… I’ll be able to vote! It always surprises me and seems so soon and I’ll need to learn about cantidates and it all makes me so nervous but excited. 9/11 really affected me as it made me just want everyone to get along. for the first time I remember concretely thinking “why can’t there just be peace?”

I do like the comics. Most of my news is from newsweek or something. (yoder’s giving them away now too, and they’re easier to carry in your backpack than a newspaper. yeah, yoder gives away free newspapers/now newsweek. i have such cool teachers)

Fantasy’s really the same story over and over again. Not that that isn’t interesting too, to see how different authors deal with the story and add their own bits and characters, but most sci-fi is just so wildly different from anything else, even other sci-fi. And GAPA RC will probably kill me for excessive use of sci-fi. Or just laugh at me to death.

Entirely depends. Some days 5 hours, some days none. On average, maybe 1 or 2 hours. Virtually all is spent on MB, the remaining sliver on Google.

On MB…well i haven’t been on for a while, but generally i just come, check, post, leave, mebbe come back later…i’d say about 10, 15, 20 min, depending. I don’t spend all that much time on any particular site, except maybe KoL, because i’ve got so many sites to split up in that time.

58- I play xylophone too. Love it. I like marimba better. It rings. I’m playing Bach partita in E major (Preludio, the first part) on marimba. Even though it’s for violin. I’m not good enough for it on violin *dies of shame*. I practice on xylophone at school. But I play it on marimba at my lesson. It bounces more, because I’m using yarn mallets, and therefore is a little easier on marimba. 16th note runs are fun.

Who do you think is the worse dictator:Kim Jong-il or Fidel Castro Kim Jong-il. My newspaper publishes a magazine thing every sunday, called “Parade.” On Sunday, Feb. 11th, it had a big article about the “World’s 10 worst dictators.” The first was Omar Al-Bashir, in Sudan. Second was Kim Jong-il. Fidel wasn’t even on the list. Personally, I don’t think Castro was that bad. But that’s just me.

I read the entire Gaboomba and every single MB thread. But now I don’t spend as much time, just because it hasn’t been as enjoyable for me as it used to be…for many reasons (already explained). I spend a lot more time on the computer, though, not necessarily on the internet. I make a lot of MB graphs and digital pictures, as well as MuseCasts, etc., on the computer as well. And there’s always homework…

Weirdest thing that has happened to you recently?
Hmmm…no, I have a pretty boring life. Let’s go for dreams! All right, 2 nights ago I had a dream that I was in 2012. This can obviously be explained by the Mayan’s doomsday date (Dec 23 2012), which is the culture we are studying in school right now. So anyway, here I was, on December 9, 2012, (yes I know this cause a dude in my dream told me so) on the campus of an elementary school near me wearing only a shirt. But the shirt was big enough do drape down to my knees, thank god. Anyway, I was right by this tall tree with a big ladder and each rung had a date on it and the last date was Dec 23, 2012. But it looked just like the tree in my backyard, and sudenly I was in my backyard and the tree was there, exactly the same. (oh wow) So then the ladder snapped and big black shapes whirled around because it was the end of the world, of course and then in the midst of the swirling blackness I saw a grandfather and his grandson at this counter choosing which object to look at. And they chose to look at some chubby legs that looked just like the legs of St. Peter in the front of Carmel’s Spanish Mission in California. [I live nowhere by this but I have been there and seen it.] And the chubby legs danced around while the grandpa paid his $1 to look at the chubby legs and suddenly I was on top of a skyscraper, watching a huge pool of water swirl around and looked around and saw most of the city was underwater. (I visited a hydroelectric dam 3 days befor this.) And then I got pushed into the muck and swam around and climbed out and somebody pushed me in. Suddenly I was right next to a chapel and I tore off a wooden chunk of it and threw it at this random guy who just happened to be there playing football and it bounced off his rear, knocking him over and richocheting the chunk back to me. I ate a chunk of it absentmindedly and it tasted just like cream cookies and I looked down and it looked just like one giant cream cookie with rainbow sprikles so I ate it and then woke up, dazed by the profound weirdness of my dream. I have so many weird dreams, and if the GAPAs could make a dream thread like they did a year ago that would be nice.

Everyone is asking this question. Instead of doing everyone individually, I’m going to say what I like in general about a museblogger. I like people who really seem like they’re part of the community. People who get along with other people even if they don’t have the same views or opinions about things (basically, if they have information to back up their ideas, and are willing to discuss their opinions with other people, and not be really close-minded and think they’re the only person who’s right). Community, to me, means that everyone also knows how to take care of their environment. So this means I like people who don’t popopo, etc. And there are a lot more qualities, but they’re basically along those same lines.

I’ve tried to train myself to use my fork with my left hand — so I could blend in better in Germany when visiting my relatives there. Unlike Americans, righthanders in Germany (and I’m guessing many other places) eat with a fork in their left hand and a knife in their right.
As for my training efforts, let’s just say that right-handed fork use is still my best bet if I want to avoid drawing attention.
I might be able to write with both hands at once, but only if I had two normal pens. (I just tried with a highliter. It didn’t work.) (171, 172, 174) Try it with drawing — or doodling, if you don’t draw. I tried it three ways: (1) both hands doing the same thing, (2) one hand working in mirror image of the other, and (3) each hand drawing something different (try Xs in one hand and Os in the other if drawing is too difficult).
I can do a mirror image of what I’m writing with my left hand, though it’s sloppy. I can also write quite well with my left hand, but it doesn’t feel natural.
I haven’t yet tried it with drawing.

Well here goes> I’m supposed to be trying free writing, and I wonder if it will work. I am at my grandparent’s house on their computer and it’s mother’s day. This is kind of fun. I wish h I had a dog, or a mouse. Hey mouse! I would name it ringo after the one ins the science classroom in mo. But ringo died. So did Dumbledore. I like Dumbledore. Why did he have to die? *sob!* The world is unfair, just fairer than death that’s all. I like quoting things, but I don’t have that many memorized. I don’t know I f I’ll ever have them, all memorized. I have a book of quotes that I am making up, but I don’t know who said them all so I’ll have to do that later but for now Mrs. Robins has them. I really wish she’d give them back, but IT‘s Sunday. I have so many more! Sometimes I get them from books, like now I am reading Slaves of the Mastery, and I’ve gotten like 15 quotes from there and it’s cool. The book is kind of slow. Speaking of books, I have to do a book talk on Friday which I’m dreading, cuz I don’t know what book I[‘ll be doing. I think I might do Un Lun Dun, but I’m not sure.

(184) Yes, it’s much easier than one might think. Drawing is even easier and potentially quite useful. More difficult was trying to draw one thing with one hand and something else with the other. One of the worst for me was trying to draw squares and circles simultaneously. That would require some practice.

Im sorry….I just wanted some respect for people, I kinda understand you, but cant i just ask for respect once in awhile? Im sorry this sounds rude too, but when people find out I am different they dont respect me sometimes, and I dont want that to happen anymore. In the fifth grade these girls that i totally thought were my friends found out i was a vegetarian. They asked the most stupid questions in the world, and then started getting REALLY snotty and harsh, and i am very sensative, and get really upset at any thing that offends me or hurts me. In science we started talking about herbivores, omnivores, and carnivores, and one girl raised her hand and said “she is a herbivore” in this nasty tone, and then someone asked as loud as they could, “wont she die” and there was this horrible conversation. I went home and had about a million panick attacks, and sobbed for 2 hours. Maybe i sound like a baby, but you have no idea what it was like. And every year we talk about carnivores, omnivores, and herbivores in science, and people say “oh its so stupid”, “what do they eat”, “have you ever seen a healthy vegetarian? They are like sticks, and are so pale, i just dont get why they dont eat meat” and i just keep my mouth shut, but i would like to go home and stay there. Im sorry about all this, i would just finally like everyone to be ok with it. My uncle even got onto my mom for being a vegetarian, people always fight us with fire, and try to convince us to stop becuase its ‘unhealthy’ and i just want it all to stop. Im sorry. I know its nothing personal, but i just want to feel like people accept the subject, and dont act like I’m a freak (not that you do, im just saying some people do). Some of my friends tease me sometimes, and they arent harsh, and they dont know it makes me feel bad, becuase they barely say anything, but….Im sorry i wont ever talk about it again…
